Clean and quiet, just the way I like it. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. My only dislike was that my room felt like an ice box when I first arrived. Turned on the heat and it was warm after about 20 minutes or so but I had to wear my coat until it was.
The staff was very friendly. We were greeted by Heather at the front desk and given our room for an early check in. There is only one elevator and it was a busy weekend, but that was the worst experience we had at this clean hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. We will definitely stay at this property again!
There must be a disconnect between the people that book the rooms. Apparently a call center rep booked our stay not the front desk. We called the Holiday Inn Williamsport and requested room 502 for a party of 5. Upon arrival we were told that our reservation was moved to the Holiday Inn Express (the building next door). We were moved to a room that was big enough for 4 and it was not the size of the Presidential Suite we requested. To top it of the heat did not work in that room. They moved to an even smaller room and charged us for the 2 nights as if we stayed in the presidential suite.
This property was well located near downtown with easy access to the outer Williamsport circles as well. Our entire experience was great - from check in to room cleanliness to food/beverage availability. We didnt have time to use the pool or fitness - but everything was generally great!
Had a good time, I was blacked out for earning points or using points which really aggravated me.The stay was nice. Clean, comfortable, free wifi (disconnected every log out)...free parking. Bathroom okay (just a lg towell for each adult). Low flow shower. Little beefs, overall I recommend it and nice stay.
First I would like to say the breakfast was unbelievable and everything in that area was clean and filled. The pool was great and the room was clean. Because I checked in very late they allowed me to check out at 2 p.m. which really helped me because I definitely was going through an emergency at that moment... thank you so much and I definitely will be back if Im in the area
Let me start by saying that I travel a lot for work, and that I stay at IHG properties frequently. They are generally clean and quiet with accommodating staff. This stay was the exception. The hotel was closed for about a year for a remodel. Everything looks great. It’s new and clean. But looks can be deceiving. They kept the old wall units in the rooms. My AC was so loud that I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. The doors close hard, so every time anyone on my hall entered or left their room, I was awakened by the slamming sound. The next morning, I told the front desk about my stay. She was on her cell phone and couldn’t be bothered to listen.
After a long day of driving, at midnight, I jumped into the shower, and of the three containers of cleaners, soap, shampoo and conditioner, only the shampoo had anything in them. Body wash was completely, so I used the shampoo which was better than nothing, but not much. Conditioner had little in it., Too late to get out of the shower and call front desk or go there, so I just dealt with it, I told the maid the next morning about it, on the way to breakfast, and she promptly replaced them. I cant imagine that the maid would have missed this, as the last person much have known that the soap was out, and is one thing that should be checked immediately. So next time I stay at this hotel, and I do when in WIlliamsport, I will bring my own soap, shampoo and conditioner. I will expect that the containers will be empty. Other than that it was a nice hotel, beds very comfortable, staff very friendly, including the maid when I told her of the empty soap container. So will stay there again and again, but this time with my own soap shampoo and conditioner.
The check in staff were absolutely wonderful. We were a bit early and she went above and beyond to make us comfortable while we waited. Our kids were able to sit and enjoy a movie in the lobby while waiting. We had one small issue after entering our room but the staff was quick to resolve this. Will definitely stay here again
This had been the first time I stayed at HIE since the remodel. I was happy to see that they changed the window coverings to include room darkening shades. Not only did they assist me in getting a better quality of sleep, they helped keep the room cooler while I was out during the day visiting my friends. Also, I noticed that the hallway carpets and wallpaper had been changed, now it looks fresh and bright. The staff here are always very welcoming and do their best to make sure their guests have a pleasant stay. I also had breakfast in the library at the James (the in-house restaurant). The breakfasts are always top notch and I hope that they continue to offer breakfast there once things “go back to normal” from the Covid mandates.
We had a great visit. We are a family of 5 and had trouble finding somewhere for a reasonable price that could accommodate us. The hotel you can tell has been recently remodeled. The bed on the pullout was still even in the plastic because it was brand new. Beds and pillows were amazing. Kids had a blast in the pool. Breakfast was your basic hotel breakfast but we didnt need anything fancy. Would definitely stay again
The hotel is clean and the staff was pleasant. It is within walking distance of Lycoming college, downtown Williamsport. Walking distance to weagmans, Perkins, and the bars and restaurants in downtown Williams port ( which are lovely. a lot of establishments give you the feel that you are in a cafe in a European city)My only issue is that the hot water did not work in my shower. But a cold shower doesn’t bother me and I’m not one to complain. So I didn’t bring it to the attention of the staff.
The hotel is newly renovated. Everything looks great. That’s where the positive feedback ends. The room AC was loud and kept my up most of the night. Every time someone on my hall opened their door it would slam, waking me from what little sleep I got that night. I attempted to address this with the front desk in the morning. She was on her cell phone and nodded in disgust that I interrupted her conversation. This used to be one of my go to’s. I’ll never stay there again.
I was in town for just one night and chose to stay here and Im sure glad I did. This hotel was probably the cleanest, most comfortable hotel Ive been to in a very long time. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is close to many amenities. Ill be back for sure.
Positive: The pillows and breakfast..... leaving!!! Negative: ADA room was a Hazzard!! Shower was not big enough for normal person & sprayer does not leave wall for disabled person to use. Fire Department had to come help because the slope outside of shower is a fall Hazzard. Bed to high for wheelchair. Dead roach
The front desk that worked the graveyard shift were the best. The early morning folks were no help at all.Pool under maintenance and breakfast unavailable. Went to front desk around 9AM to ask about coffee/breakfast & pool. We dont have coffee/breakfast and the pool is closed for maintenance. Nothing else added.Later same day, the nicest person Crystal (or Krissy?), told us that we could swim at another hotel across the street & breakfast was available at the other end of the hotel, $5 for the whole room. She even took the time to talk to my sons when we were buying candy late one night. If I had to give her stars, it would be 5.
Everything at hotel is great. Very well kept and staff friendly and helpful enough. Breakfast attendant is WONDERFUL. Hard worker, keeps things stocked up, very friendly, cant beat her. Whatever she is paid needs needs doubled. Breakfast choices are horrendous. Omlettes are basically not edible. Just serve scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. Nothing fancy or complicated needed.Serious-Whatever she makes is not enough.
Nice clean room 2nd floor rear, quiet. Nice acess down stairwell to front door, free parking. Wifi good, although you need to log in for it every disconnect. TV channel list not in room and remote needed directions to get digital TV. Breakfast-usual (good), bed and bathroom very clean. Recommend it for a night or 2.
We came to this hotel because we were in town for a funeral. It was a totally relaxing atmosphere. It was quiet at night. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The grandchildren really enjoyed the pool area. was especially impressed with the two women that did the breakfast buffet in the morning. They kept it well supplied and very aesthetic looking. they were very friendly and chatted with you. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you were looking for something relaxing and aesthetic.
While there may be underlying reasons, the breakfast offering was poor in QUANTITY, not quality. There were apparently 3 staff people working in the dining room. Many individual items, eggs, sausage, bread, yogurt, and more were out. Several people were told more is coming but after waiting 10 minutes myself, nothing came. Possibly the number of people who came for breakfast was not anticipated although a check of the registrations would be available.
Average HI Express. If you have stayed in one, you have stayed in all of them. Helpful staff. To find it, look for the Holiday Inn; they are connected. Visited in July 22 and improved. Because the hotel is attached to Holiday Inn, eat at James Restaurant for meals and bar.
Beds are stiff, squeaky, and not very comfortable. House keeping does not appear to keep up with long staying customers when it comes to changing linens according to my long staying coworkers. I stayed 2 nights and it was a room that was reserved for a coworker that was on days off and there were crumbs around the night stand which leads me to believe they havent done much cleaning. Granted we should clean up after ourselves better. I was very nervous to sleep in either bed with hearing about the experience of my coworkers. The building itself seemed to be in pretty good shape. The rooms are a little out dated but not bad, they do have larger Flat screen TVs which is nice. Lighting in the room was not very good. A couple lamps in the corners and a lamp on the night stand didnt do much.Breakfast was on par with most other Holiday Inn hotels. The staff I interacted with were friendly.Based on the beds alone I find it difficult to recommend this particular hotel. It lacks in comparison to every other Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in.
We had other plans get cancelled at the last minute because of COVID restriction conflicts. I struggled to find someplace close by in our price range that might be nice for my husband and I to get away for a long weekend. Because he works in Agriculture he is very busy in the fall and this September we celebrate our 40th Anniversary so we had hoped to have this weekend weve as an early celebration. I booked a room with the river view to add some romance. We arrived late so we went right to bed. So when I got up and opened the curtains and saw the other hotel building staring back at us I was confused and annoyed. I brought this up to the desk clerk when we went to breakfast but was brushed off as someone made a mistake in our room assignment because they had a large group there and were very busy. I told her why we were there She said shed leave a note for the manager (doubt it happened) but couldnt guarantee anything. There was no call to our room or follow up by anyone.
Had stayed at the Area Holiday Inn two weeks prior to our Holiday Inn express stay. We found the express to be more comfortable and easier to access. Staff at both facilities was very friendly and helpful. It was a true pleasure meeting your front desk personnel Ms Crystal at the Holiday Ms Janis at the ExpressBoth employees represented your company well.
The rooms are great sized but the maids will ignore you unless you request service via the front desk. Theres a house keeper Ms. Kay who is African American but was for no reason straight up racist towards my wife one year old son and Myself just because we are white. The front desk staff is awesome with the exception of one lady by the name of Skye who has been unnecessarily snarky and intolerably rude and condescending towards my wife and has a major attitude problem
So I been traveling for years now during the week for work. I like how modern this hotel is. The lobby wiil be very nice once they get the big tv spot filled. Looks like remodeling. The staff was very friendly. I even seen the girl at the desk move her car to another spot for a larger vehicle to fit. Probably the nicest thing Ive seen at a hotel.
Overall the stay was good. Good food, comfy beds. Great front desk and bellhop staff. The downside was the pool. It was clean and well kept, but the main reason for our stay was to use the pool and it was cold enough even the kids wanted out early. A little disappointing. The cleaning staff does need to be a little more observant - there was a child’s dress-up high heel behind the curtain and a do-rag inside the frame of the sofa sleeper.
Had the executive suite. Table seating for six people. Not one paper plate or even a plastic fork in the room. Used the pool. Asked for towels at the front desk. I got an instant attitude. They told me, they would bring me one. An hour later, no towel . Had to walk to my room freezing cold. . Besides the outside patio bar/ food. It was not good. Breakfast was over priced. Had to wait 35 minutes for one persons egg . Got attitude , because I asked for a fork!! Was Not enjoyable 😒.
We were in town visiting family and decided to stay the night instead of make the drive back home. This hotel is very nice and conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable and very well priced. The breakfast was standard fare for Holiday Inn Express but it is always nice to be able to get the complimentary breakfast before getting on the road. The only issue we had was that the cleaning staff was knocking on our door around 8:30 a.m. to ask if we were leaving yet. While we were checking out that day, we still had a bit of time left in the room before we had to leave. I would suggest to management that they remind their staff when checkout time is. Other than that it was a good stay and we will stay there again the next time we are in the area.
Everything was great at hotel. Had issues with centralized reservations center. Was not able to understand customer service person on the other end. They had very poor English and I could tell he was getting upset because I had to keep getting him to repeat. This wasn’t the first time this happened calling in. Your better off calling hotel directly
No coffee for the coffee maker, no soap for shower , room was never made up after first night. Elevator was filthy. The breakfast was ok but it took over 1/2 hour for the food to get refilled. The lady worked hard to keep up but the kitchen was slow to make food. Lots of unhappy people!
Had a very nice stay at this property, stayed for 3 nights. The bed is very comfortable and I love the updated bathroom with a shower stall and glass door, instead of the old tub/shower combo with the fabric curtain that always sticks to you. Their complimentary breakfast is very good, with good variety. Parking lot can get extremely full at night if they have a conference at the property, I had difficulty finding a spot when I came in a couple of times later at night. Also I had a really nice experience with the bar staff of the onsite restaurant, James. It’s always so nice when people are helpful and kind!
My wife and I had a very difficult day and did not intend to stay in the Williamsport area. Because of various college activities going on in the area, almost all hotel rooms were booked. The clerk at the desk tried very hard to find a space for us. It took a while, but he was successful and we could stay here. The other desk clerk was compassionate and did all she could to make my wife comfortable. The breakfast is very complete with a good variety of offerings.
Last stay, similar to the previous stay, I had late checkout scheduled. Both instances house keeping tried to enter my room prior to 1030. Make sure you keep ALL of your doors locked if you dont want to be seen in your birthday suit. First time the manager checked me out and handled the situation well. 2nd time it was head of housekeeping...not so much
We went for a 1 night stay with our kids. Our room was very spacious and clean and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable and i loved the pillows. The pool was closed for renovations which minus the kids being excited about i didnt care, BUT they said we could use the hotel behind theirs! Which i was thrilled for and it was in the same parking area so we could walk or drive really easily. So i thought that was a great accommodation to let guest swim still! Overall nice staff and very helpful recommendations from everyone!
The staff was great. The hotel is strange because its a Holiday Inn Express and a Holiday Inn connected...but not the same hotel. You share amenities such as pool and fitness center, but Holiday Inn Express has free continental breakfast and Holiday Inn does not. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express it was ok. The room and bathroom were very dirty. I dont expect to have to clean a bathroom before we can use it. The toilet was not clean in the least bit and the floor in the bathroom was even worse. The room itself was also just as equally not clean. There were hand prints on the head board, dressers, desk, end table and doors. Not clean floors. I think this hotel could be a great place with the right cleaning staff. The beds were comfortable the hotel is actually really nice and its a great location.
We recently stayed at the Williamsport PA Holiday Inn and Express and were pleased with the choice we made in accommodation. The hotel is centrally located and easy to find as well as being convenient for walking downtown to enjoy the local restaurants. Parking is free and spacious and well lit.Our check-in by Keith was quick and he was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We saw him at the front desk several times throughout our stay as we walked through the lobby and he always greeted us with a big smile and asked how our stay as going. The hotel was clean and modern throughout. Our room was large and comfortable. Having a kitchen was a bonus. I would definitely recommend stopping at a Dollar store to stock up on basics such as dish soap, paper towel etc. There were a few basic utensils in a drawer, but no dishes so come prepared. The bed was very comfortable and our teenage son even said his pullout couch was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and we enjoyed the stand up shower with great water pressure! There was no bathtub which was perfectly fine for us.Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
I stay at this hotel about three or four times each year to visit friends in the area. Every time I stay here it is a pleasant experience. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are good and so is the coffee. It makes my trips up north relaxing and stress-free to know that I’m in a comfortable hotel with awesome amenities.
The hotel is in a great location for food, cultural events and shopping. The staff were friendly and informative. Shuttle service was punctual and the driver courteous. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and included the usual Holiday Inn Express fare. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. I was disappointed the refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment--a consideration for the next renovation. I would also suggest 1) swivel TV stands so the TV can be viewed from the sitting area and 2) better signage to distinguish the Holiday Inn vs. Holiday Inn Express entrances and parking.
Fairly comfortable bed and bedding. Average size room, smallish bathroom. HVAC worked fine with no annoying noises. Room faced the other hotel therefore there was no road noise but then not much of a view either. Even though it was steps away from the elevator the ding bell wasnt very annoying at all. Great location, within walking distance of Wegmans and downtown eateries. Would like to have seen a few more breakfast options but overall it was on par with other hotel chains.
We were in town for a wedding. The staff was fantastic!! Treated us like family. Even offered to shuttle us to stores locally (within 5 miles). We did wait for quite a while to get into our reserved room, an hour and a half, but they upgraded our room for the same price. Our room was nice and clean, but there was a little bit of mold around the top of the shower. All and all, I would recommend this hotel.
While my check in experience was great, everything after was pretty lackluster. Upon reaching our room (after waiting for the one elevator that serves four floors), we discovered dirty linens in the closet, one washcloth and three towels. No hand towels at all. As if that wasnt enough to sour us on the hotel, my daughter wanted to go swimming. She changed and we walked to the pool to find it under renovation. Yes...there is a sign at check in that we missed but nothing online. We were supposed to go to another hotel to use their facilities. If we had wanted to go to another hotel, we would have booked there. In retrospect, maybe that is why there is nothing posted online. The beds were comfortable but the person delivering the express check out papers at 4:30 AM and talking on his/her phone or walki talki didnt let me enjoy it that much. This place needs a serious evaluation of their management in housekeeping and other aspects. This was not a good value for the price I paid.
Rooms are comfortable enough but the Wifi is terrible. The further you are from the room door, the weaker the signal. At the desk in the room it keeps dropping in and out. Even moved rooms because I could not connect at all in the first room. Strongest signal is in the bathroom and there is even a built in chair 🤣.
My boyfriend and I were passing through on our way home this weekend and decided to spend the night here. The woman at the front desk who checked us in was very friendly and helpful! Our room was clean and felt very welcoming. Also just want to throw a quick thank you shout out to the girl who was bar tending at the hotel restaurant Saturday night (3/10/18). We got there just after 10pm and were starving. She apologized for the inconvenience that the kitchen was closed, but she recommended that we try Bar On Market for some good late night food. She was right! BEST burger Ive had in a long time! Overall we had a great stay and the staff here was awesome! Thanks everyone!
Clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stay here every year for the 4th of July fireworks show. We werent able to use the pool this year due to it being under construction. We were able to use the neighboring hotels pool though, so our kids werent too bent out of shape about it. We are looking forward to using the new pool next year. Anytime we need anything the staff gets right on it. Prices are very reasonable. Breakfast is good. Great place to stay!
I was very excited to see there were rooms here because I have stayed here before and loved it! I even told the girl at the front desk I was happy to be here that I love the hotel. The price was much cheaper than online which was fantastic. My first night stay was fine. I had a problem with the toilet it was taken care of quickly. The second night was terrible. There were people in the hallways running all over the place slamming doors, and I had a 3 Hour drive the next morning. It didn’t stop I called the front desk and they said they were going to send someone up. Right after I hung up the people work on. But all night long there were kids running up and down the hallways doors bei slammed, it was terrible. When I inform the desk on my way out,They were less than helpful about it. I’ve stayed another holiday inns and they offered me extra points at least because of an elevator being broken. This one just said to me “well it was Maridi Gras weekend! Gee thanks a lot!
Had a great stay, come here all the time. It is convenient and the hotel is right by everything. This time there wasn’t a refrigerator in the room. I had to call guest services but they responded quickly and efficiently. There was a little mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Would be nice if they had tile on the sides and ceiling of the shower.
This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express Williamsport and we were very pleased. The room was very quiet and clean and the bed was so very comfortable. We were on the top floor on the front side and had a beautiful view of the river. We asked specifically for a room with a sofa and loved just kicking back when we got in from a walk along the river. Staff was very pleasant. There was one exceptional lady in the food service area who went over and above to be friendly and helpful. Loved talking with her. We usually visit Williamsport about once a year and have stayed at other places that were nice. However, at this hotel the value received for the price was top notch. We have full intentions of staying here again.
For a holiday inn, this place was trash.. booked on the website and paid for a king suite with a jacuzzi tub, and a walk in shower. We got a regular king room. No refund of the booking price was returned. Not to mention forty something dollars in extra fees AND another 40 dollars in case we left the room in an unfavorable condition. That money was supposed to be returned. We have yet to see it reimbursed. Will not be staying here again, EVER.
My coworker and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during the middle of the week. The hotel was surprisingly busy, but we still found parking and were able to check in very quickly. The location was great because we were within a short walking distance from some great, unique restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, and I cant complain having free coffee available in the lobby! The only sour note was having a squeaky mattress, and I like sleeping on firm pillows. The hotel does provide you with a soft and medium pillow, which is nice though.
We Had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express!! Keith at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. He made us feel welcomed from the minute we walked in. Great sense of humor. We asked for an early check in and he had no problem helping us out. He even printed us a local map and told us about the area. The rooms were clean and good sized. Can not say enough good about the breakfast. Overall was a great place to stay for the value... will be back in the future!!
Easy online reservation and quick check in. Man checking me in could have been a bit more friendly. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and walk in shower was very nice. Heating A/C unit needed a tune up. Breakfast was nice and the lady taking care of buffet was wonderful. She was very friendly and helpful. She couldn’t have been more kind when she found out we were there for a family emergency.
We stayed for the Labour Day weekend. Staff was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was hot and always full. We had our granddaughter with us. Hoped to use the pool but it was filthy with debris and clumps of hair floating. I complained about it and was told that the pool guy was coming at NOON. Dont you think he should come early since the hotel was full. And the hot tub wasnt working at all. And our room had a pair of dirty socks beside the bed and crumbs along the bed box. We were booked here with a group so finding other accommodations was not an option.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We, my four girls and I, arrived and were greeted by a very friendly front desk attendant. From there it was a wonderful experience. Any minor difficulties were handled beautifully. The beds were very comfortable. The room was outfitted very nicely. The DVD player, Keurig, microwave all helped our stay to be better. The room was clean and nice looking. My teenager utilized the internet and the desk. Apparently all was working very well in that area!Thank you for a great stay we will definitely be using Holiday Inn Express again!
As I stay in Hotels, four nights a week for work, it is nice that the Staff is polite and helpful to my needs. I do appreciate the fact that they booked me into a room with a kitchenette as there are times I like to cook for myself. My stay will be thru the month of December. I have been here a year or so ago and expect to return in the near future. Thank You Holiday Inn Express and Staff for assisting me in my lodging for the month.Happy Holidays to All. Santa Claude!
The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable although not prepared for our family of 5. The breakfast was a horrible experience. They were out of almost everything the entire time and never restocked it. We arrived early so it wasn’t like we were there at the tail end. The kitchen staff was also very unpleasant. They also had a comedy club going on the night we stayed which made parking impossible. We had to park in a neighboring hotel lot! Traveling across the busy street late at night with 3 kids is not something we prepared for.
My stay was completely satisfying. the room had a cook top, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, silverware, an extremely comfortable bed and pillows.i sleep with the fan on constant, and no noise disturbed my sleep even though the air conditioner was pretty quiet. a good size tv with a good selection of channels for sports and movies. the staff was helpful, quick and courteous. the free breakfast was fresh, hot, and well tended with a variety of fruit and drinks, quality hot coffee, and a clean well lit space to eat.
We are a family of 5 with 3 young children ages 7-2. We chose this hotel en route from FL back to Canada. Williamsport is right on highway, so location is great. We chose Holiday Inn for the IHG rewards. Upon arriving my husband checked in. The person at the counter was efficient, but kind of smirked at the rest of the family. Not an overly warm welcome. Got to the room it was cold, they forgot to preheat it. TV was okay, lots of channels but picture was grainy. The beds and sleep were decent. The different firmnesses in pillows were thoughtful. The elevator is confusing, we got lost getting out the wrong door on the 1st floor the next morning (each door led to a separate hotel and not labelled in the elevator). Breakfast items were decent. Pancake machine was broken. The staff (one lady) working the breakfast area had one of the most sour attitudes. She was almost scowling at us. Yes we have young kids. Is the hotel not for families? I didnt understand the negativity. It was an ok stay for the amenities but staff attitude could be adjusted. We travel a lot and have seen really good service, especially within the IHG chain.
Overall, the hotel and room was nice. The bed was comfortable but the pillow choices were bad, too hard or too soft. The staff was helpful when we checked in but when we were checking out, there was no one at the front desk and we just left our keys on the counter. Fortunately, we did not have an issues with our stay or bill so that fact the there was no one at the desk was not an issue. The breakfast was very good and the area was very clean. The only issue was that there were two wedding receptions taking place so parking was an issue. Even though we were on the 4th floor, we could still hear the music from the parties, which made it hard to sleep.
Had a great stay here. Staff very courteous and helpful. Bed very comfortable and the room was cleaner than any hotel room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was great. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful. The woman who oversaw the breakfast was kind, helpful and kept on top of everything. I definitely recommend this place.
My wife and I enjoy our room. it was very spacious quiet and simple. for as large as the room was we expected a large bathroom. It was your average bathroom nothing special though a over head light in the shower would have been nice. The shower its self could have been bigger for a king size room. Our bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows which my wife loves.the couch and tv setup seemed a little odd but wasnt a big deal considering we watched it from our bed anyway. The common areas where nice and had modern touches of decor. We enjoyed the pool which was very relaxing. The restaurant had a good selection and bar served everything we wanted. The prices seemed some what high for the food but was presented well. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning here for our future stays in the area!
My son and I were impressed with the impeccable cleanliness of our room, and the updated bathroom features. We both awoke feeling complimentary about our stay. I was disappointed the next day, when an item that I had forgotten, could not be recovered, but the hotel managers were super receptive and well-disposed to listening and finding a solution. Overall I would say that you will be more than pleased upon choosing the Williamsport Holiday Inn Express.
My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was a very relaxing one. The room was very clean and supplied all that I needed. The bed was very comfortable and I liked all the pillows that were on the bed, which made it all the more comfortable. I will stay at another Holiday Inn Express in the future for whatever I need to travel for. The staff was very professional and very pleasant. Housekeeping did a good job in cleaning and making sure I had enough of everything in my room.Thank you all for making my stay so pleasant.
We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel, as the GPS wasnt quite accurate. We were pleased to find free parking and an updated facility that appeared clean and updated. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. Sleep quality was excellent. The pool area was nice, but the water was too cold to be fully enjoyed. The breakfast was nice, with good variety. We would likely stay here again.
We had a wonderful sleep. Our room on the fourth floor was very quiet. The room was very clean and only comment is that the carpet could do with a good shampoo in order to get rid of some stains but the room felt very clean despite the carpet.Lots of parking and there is a Wegmans and a Kohls within walking distance.
We stayed at this hotel for only one night but were very impressed. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The king bed was extremely comfortable, with plush pillows and soft linens. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. One caution: Be careful to NOT use a third party travel company (they will come up ahead of IHG during a Google search) as they are unprofessional and represent this hotel group very poorly.
This Holiday Inn Express was top notch. We did not have a reservation but they had room for us. The staff was outstanding and thoughtful. They were very forth coming about the 2 weddings and 1 graduation party that were taking place at the hotel. Letting us know that we would hear noises if we were on the lower floors, they placed us on the 5th floor. It was quiet despite the close proximity to the roadway. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food and the prices were not extreme. However, if you are staying at this hotel while this many events are held, you may have trouble finding a parking place. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. They had homemade pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage links and patties, boiled eggs, juice etc. Great place to stay.
My family stays at the Holiday Inn Express in Williamsport at least twice a year. We chose to stay there because of the excellent service we receive. In addition, we have always found the hotel to be clean and the pool perfect for our needs. Breakfast is always what we want. The variety is great and we can take our time or quickly grab food to go. The value is exceptional but the staff is the reason why we continue to book into this location.
The front desk staff greeted us warmly and friendly. The room was extremely large and very clean. The bathroom lighting was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with many varied choices. Warren in the breakfast area was constantly refilling items and was very friendly. Love staying here!
Nice room. The fridge had been unplugged, didnt catch it until the morning after we put food in it. Check in was smooth and the staff were polite. Housekeeping using the same elevator as the guests created some traffic jams. At one point, two members of housekeeping were standing outside the elevator arguing with a supervisor about rooms not being cleaned fast enough. Alot of noise on the 3rd floor during our stay, yelling and door slamming, rooms are not very soundproof.
The hotel was very neat and clean. Upon entry into the lobby the view of a common room is beautiful and inviting. The pool was warm and large enough to share with other families. The breakfast was fantastic. There was a lot of choice, both hot and cold for my children and I. The room was clean and comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay at Holiday. I was met by a pleasant staff member at the desk who was very helpful when I discovered that I had forgotten my bag. The location to stores, restaurants and entertainment was a bonus. After a long day of intense education I was glad to lay in a comfortable bed and watch TV. Breakfast was available and offered a variety of foods.
The Holiday Inn in Wiliamsport is in a great location. Easy to walk to the down town center, restaurants, breweries and cafes.Ive recently stayed there with my wife and two boys 9/10 yrs old who had gone to the baseball camp at Little League HQ which is 5 minutes away. The Holiday Inn Express was a good place to take the family. The boys liked the indoor pool and we walked into town for dinner and ice cream. Theres an out side bar / restaurant attached to the hotel which is nice for lunch and dinner. The free Breakfast was not up to par. We ended up going to Dunkin Donots for breakfast. The Room was not completely cleaned when we arrived in the room. There was still trash left by the previous guests. We had to request towels and soap. But the staff had no problems with our requests.Ive stayed plenty of nights at other IHG brands and this one was a little disappointing.
First time staying at a Holiday Inn Express. It was very comfortable, and quiet. The included breakfast was very good and had a nice variety of items to eat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite clean and comfortable. Only problem was the blanket on the made up bed only came up to your waist. Had to tear the bed apart to remake it so the blanket could be useful in keeping you warm. Would recommend the H.I. Express to anyone looking for a comfortable, reasonable place to stay.
I have been working in this area for the last 3 and a half years. This Holiday Inn Express is one of the better ones I have stayed at in the last ten years. The staff are friendly, well mannered and courteous. They make remembering you and making you feel at home a priority. The rooms are always well maintained and clean. The breakfast is better than most. The shuttle service is flexible and dependable. If you have the choice and a chance, I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express.
The hotel was clean, and well kept. The front desk staff were polite and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Our room was next to the elevator, so there was constant noise all night. The mattress was really uncomfortable, but the rest of the room was fine. Overall, it was adequate, but I probably would stay elsewhere next time.
This has to be my 10th stay here in 3 years. My daughter goes to college down the street and this is our “home” when we visit or pick up. Really enjoy this hotel. It’s clean, comfortable, with a GREAT staff. In 10 stays only had one MINOR issue with parking. Will be back in May for move out. Maybe sooner if we visit!!!
I went to find a piece of mind and I found it here. Not over crowded. Hotel was the perfect size. There were 2 football teams there having a ceremony of some sort on one night and a wedding reception the next. I didnt hear not one peep from these people which was very surprising. So where the events were set up were perfect!!!! I didnt even know they were there til a staff person told me.The best breakfast options!!!!CleanEverything was filled!!!FreshThe staff person over that area should be rewarded handsomely!!!!! Breakfast was available til 10:30am unlike other places that operate from 4am to 6am.Tub
The hotel only has one elevator and its very slow. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice; but having to walk up four flights of stairs after practice sucks. Or anytime I need to get to my room, there is always a line. The breakfast is nice and I never had to wait long for it.
Overall I was VERY unimpressed with this Holiday Inn Express. The reason I stay at Holiday Inn Express is because the quality of the staff and the facility is higher than at most budget hotels. However I was sorely disappointed at this place. The room itself was pretty small compared to other Holiday Inns. The carpet was dirty and the overall cleanliness of the room was not good. And to top it off, the next morning when getting ice, I noticed URINE in the ice container which we had used the night before (got in late & was tired). Gross! How could the cleaning staff miss something like that! When I told that staff at the desk they did not seem very concerned at all. Maybe this happens regularly??? When we checked out we were offered a 30% discount because I had Platinum status. You mean they wouldnt have done anything if I wasnt? Really??? I was completely aghast at the thought that they wouldnt have done ANYTHING if i didnt have Platinum status. And 30% off - thats all? I also asked that the manager call me which never happened. I am very disappointed with this Holiday Inn and will never stay here again!
The hotel was very efficient with our check in and check out. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast offered in the morning was very generous considering there was no additional charge. I would recommend this hotel to everyone passing through. Also the restaurant in the attached Holiday Inn was really good for dinner. Great pub atmosphere with lots of TVs and a variety of food on the menu.
The atmosphere and staff really made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The rooms were up to date and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and relaxing. The only issue I had was that in the guest room, the windows had two curtains. The first was sheer and allowed an uncomfortable amount of light into the room while I was sleeping. The second curtain was darker and would have been more efficient had it been able to be closed. Perhaps if the curtains are adjustable for guests, this may eliminate this concern in the future.
I broke my foot after my reservation was booked but prior to arrival. Upon arrival I asked for an accessible room. They didnt have one for the entire length of my stay. Since it was late when I checked in, the hotel manager - Heidi, got me into a room for the night and then went way above and beyond and secured me an accessible room for the rest of my stay. Her leadership is evident in the rest of the hotel staff. The front desk people were nice and attentive. Every morning when I left my room and passed a housekeeper I was greeted with a smile and good morning. What more is there when you travel 80% of the year? Thank you HIE Williamsport!
My wife and I stayed here for the Billtown Blues Festival 2015. The staff was very courteous. Rooms were very clean. Free breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. The location was easy to find off of the highway. Easy walking distance to area attractions. We will return and recommend this hotel to friends.
The hotel was completely booked with weddings and events. I dont think the staff could keep up. The elevator was slow and not working properly. The furniture in our room was stained. It should have been cleaned or removed. There apparently was a roof or window leak. The ceiling was stained and peeling. Breakfast was a disaster with so many people. We went next door to Perkins to eat. We have stayed here many times through out the 4 years our son was in college in the area. This hotel has gone down hill in that time. One thing I will say was the front desk, maintenance and housekeepers were very nice and seem to be doing their best to do a good job. I just think they are under staffed and HI needs to invest some money on upkeep of this facility.
We had an excellent stay, the rooms were clean and comfortable, lots of pillows. The breakfast was great - wide variety of choices, good coffee, excellent cinnamon rolls. The staff was courteous friendly and helpful, went out of there way to help, filled water bottles with ice and spring water. overall I would stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to others.
Everything was as you expect going in. Check in was fast and easy, room was clean as always. Pool was clean and without the typical strong odor of chlorine. Quiet room, even with a very full hotel. Breakfast was top quality for a continental breakfast, and always kept full. Only complaint was icy, snow covered parking lot, but sometimes that cant be helped.
Great conference rooms. Our group was put up very well. Almost had the feel of very large venues, but in a small town. When we were there, the food for the conference was great, the service was friendly and competent, and the facilities were clean, modern, and classy.
We stayed at the hotel for an event in the area the next day. We told our children they had a big pool we could go in but when we arrived the pool was under renovation and there was no mention of this at booking or on the website. The parking lot was ridiculous, a tour bus was taking up 5-6 spaces when it could have been parked elsewhere and it was completely full. Check in was fine and the person at the desk was helpful and friendly, as was check out the next day. We were told there would be a roll away in our room and there was not, the pull out had dirty sheets on it and the blankets for it were also dirty(they had candy all over them) and there was no pillow. There was one towel in the bathroom for showering. We had to call or walk down to the desk multiple times to request missing things.(More towels that should have been in the room, the roll away and then a blanket for the roll away that wasnt brought with it, bedding for the pullout). Each of these things took time and my kids had to wait to go to bed when we got back from dinner for a pretty good amount of time. The room itself was large, as was the bathroom. The shower was lovely and open but there was no bathtub.
Very mixed review here. Good: got upgraded to a suite at check in - very nice, thank you. Bad: the entire first floor was very slippery and perpetually wet - I am told this happens every time it rains because the hotel has no basement? Good: the breakfast had lots of options and was very good. Bad: one night we went out to eat, then got back and found out there was a free dinner with drinks, dessert, and a raffle in the hotel lobby that they were cleaning up - when we asked the staff they said oh yeah, we do that every tuesday. And when we asked why they didnt tell us/anyone they said it would be too hard to do that. So we were pretty upset that we spent that money on dinner when it could have been free. Then to top it all off, they quickly drew the raffle before we could fill out our entry. I dont want to sound entitled here, because it was a nice gesture, but it would have been nice if we were invited/welcome. Like I said, mixed review.
We were on our way to Washington DC and Williamsport was the perfect spot to stay to break up the drive. The front desk person was very friendly and welcoming. The pool was wonderful, we had it all to ourselves! The breakfast was Holiday Inn express standard which is a good variety with nice hot choices. It was kept well stocked.
Our daughter and her four children came to visit us in Williamsport and we put them at this hotel. there is a lot there for the kids to do and the location suited us quite nicely. my husband and I, and local family members visited them at the hotel and the staff was very gracious and welcoming to our entire family. there was lemonade and fresh cookies upon check-in. the hotel also arranged a pizza party package for the kids even though we had purchased another package deal. we really appreciated that and so did the kids. this hotel has an indoor pool and for approx. 1 1/2 hrs we had the pool to ourselves-just the family! what great memories we created that nite! the location has great access to the downtown area and the beltway to get ard town. we always use this hotel when we have family and close friends visiting and will continue to use this hotel despite many other options.
Loved my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Williamsport! Slept great in the comfy king bed, loved the firm and soft pillow choices (used all of them!), loved having a Keurig coffee maker for coffee, loved the toiletries in the bathroom and the shower was very relaxing with the huge shower head, the whole room was very clean and bright, loved having a treat of chocolate dipped pretzel sticks (a very nice touch) that was there for me when I checked into the room, plenty of outlets for my electronics, enjoyed a delicious warm breakfast (the cinnamon rolls were great), and each staff member I encountered was very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!
This hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was amazing. Upon checking in we were told the pool was closed, but we were offered the ability to go to a hotel just a half a block away to use their pool. We also needed milk at 930 at night for our baby, and even though there was none in the gift shop and the restaurant was closed, they said they would see if they could find some, and they did! They brought up six boxes for our kids! In the morning we we went down to breakfast and immediately an attendant got us kids cups for kids when their pancake machine was down offered for the chef in the attached hotel (a regular Holiday inn) to make pancakes for our son. AMAZING experience. They only thing that wasnt good, was the lack of tub in the room (tough to bathe two kids under 4 in a shower), and the water pressure was not so good. But honestly the staff and the over all cleanliness of the hotel outweighed it all! Definitely recommend this place, especially when traveling with kids!
I have stayed at many holiday inns and holiday inn express hotels and I have always been happy regarding my choice to stay at one of these hotels. This was the first time a holiday inn express did not meet (or even come close to my expectations). This hotel was very dirty. Carpets were stained. I didnt even feel comfortable walking around the floor in my room without shower shoes. Furniture in lobby and breakfast eating area stained. White chairs discolored gray to black. Honestly disgusting. Hotel needs a major renovation. Front staff not very welcoming or accommodating. Huge difference from adjoining holiday inn (world of difference w/in the same building).
I had a very nice and relaxing stay, and I do appreciate the professionalism of the reception staff and the nice and efficient van shuttle driver. I had breakfast in the morning (which I brought to my room) and that was very good quality. My room was clean and quiet, and I had a good night sleep.
This was a nice, clean place to stay. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom was updated and clean. It was quiet and relaxing did not hear any noice from the other rooms or in the hallways. The breakfast selections were good, everyone had their choice of breakfast food. It was a nice stay. Would stay there again.
Skye at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The refrigerator was missing from the room and she was able have one installed in our room. She even gave me milk from the breakfast area for my three boys at 11:00 pm. We stayed in a two queen, one sleeper sofa room. Plenty of space for 5. The pool was a big hit with the boys, sort of weird it was located in the Holiday Inn part of the buildings. At breakfast, the pancake machine was broken, but the great staff at breakfast was able to get us 6 pancakes and they were yummy. When we asked for a later check out time, once again, Skye stepped up and made the arrangements. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
When I go to Williamsport I usually stay around the corner at a competitor because of a discount I receive. (they did not have enough rooms by the time I ordered.) Before arriving at the hotel, but after I booked my rooms, I checked out some reviews. They were pretty much accurate. The only difference was my room seemed clean. I enjoyed my stay and would do it again if I had to.
Close to everything, there is a restaurant on the premises although it is a bit expensive. Was very satisfied with the comfort of the room. It would help if they had more than one elevator. The breakfast was a disappointment in that they were understaffed and people had to wait for food to be restocked. I waited 40 minutes for a scoop of scrambled eggs. Never did get a bagel. I was there @8:30 in the morning andthe breakfast area was a MESS!! I went to the front desk twice to report lack of food. It was at least 20 minutes before I even saw the woman in charge of the breakfast area.
After traveling all day we were just ready to get a room and relax. We stopped at one hotel first but wanted to check with Holiday Inn, we are so glad we did. The rate was better and the personnel were great. The room and furnishings were so comfortable we looked for Holiday Inn hotels the rest of our trip.
Overall experience was terrific. The breakfast area is crowded and small for the amount of guests that were there. The staff could have used more help but they did a great job. Otherwise the staff and the accommodations were appropriate for our purposes. Many amenities, but our stay was too short to take advantage of them.
We had no problems with this hotel. Mold was starting in the corner of our bathroom ceiling, which is not surprising with no fan. The carpet was pretty disgusting. Its the first time I wouldnt go without shoes. I did let them know. I would go back again and give them another chance because over all it was a nice place to stay
Arrived w/o reservation. Terrible headache. The front desk young man Jake was friendly and quick. He gave me a room away from the ice machine and elevator. Room was large, clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Later I dined at The James. Connected to hotel so you dont need to go outside. Prices reasonable. Waitstaff attentive and friendly. Food was good. Breakfast was average.
Stayed here with a friend for a Penn State game after all the State College hotels were sold out. Its an hour away from Beaver stadium which is great. Keith at the front desk was awesome and helped make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations with lots of variety as opposed to just muffins and coffee. Parking gets crowded at night but the front desk gives you great options. The rooms are comfortable and huge with a microwave and fridge. The James restaurant also provides great drinks, food and service. This is my new found hotel for Penn State games! The hotel also has a nice indoor pool. Cant wait to be back!
Our hotel room only had the option of a shower. The shower stall was roomy and in excellent condition. The bathroom ventilation was also great with no steam build up. The shower head is not adjustable in regards to different stream types. This made showering difficult for those in our group with long thick hair. There are two front desks. There is a free breakfast area and a restaurant. Be sure you know which is which as staff on our visit did not point us to the free breakfast as we went to the front desk closet to the restaurant. Parking was tight- had to go through parking lot several times as we arrived past midnight.I would stay here again.
We have stayed at your hotel every time we visit Williamsport, PA and have had a nice, convenient experience. Love the location! It seems that the hotel lobby was not as nice as I remember probably because of so much use. The breakfast was also cold :(. The front desk staff need some more training acting like they care. If they would have said Ill check on this immediately if you will hold I would have been satisfied. The housekeeping staff did a really great job turning in and item we left behind. Thank you for being courteous, polite and honest! I have booked two rooms in May and look forward to returning to your hotel with my in-laws who have traveled a lot. Thank you.
The pool was clean and decent size, unfortunately the gym was small and the equipment wasnt the best.My room was on the 4th floor; it was a guess room. The room was very clean, quite, and comfy that I was able to sleep all night long. I would like to see more fruits variety for breakfast. I will definitely come back, but I would have been better if the parking lot was bigger. It was packed and I saw few cars had to park outside the designated area.
We spent the weekend in the area hiking. We wanted a room we could relax in. We had a room next to the elevator mechanical room and there were several youth soccer teams also staying that weekend. But with all of that, our room was very quiet. At breakfast it was a bit hectic, only because of all the kids. The staff had a hard time keeping everything full. The food was still good.
Upon arrival we were welcomed by two wonderful people at the desk. The check in process was quick and enjoyable. I needed some plates, forks and a knife for a pie we had and the lady who checked us in quickly retrieved them for us. My mother needed assistance, which they provided, and our room was across from the elevator. It was a wonderful stay, just off the highway, getting there from the highway was a little challenge but well worth it. I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located in downtown area next to many restaurants. The hotel is clean and comfortable. It provides the traditional Holiday Inn Express breakfast with the cinnamon buns. If you happen to be in the king Suites, it comes with the kitchenette with full size refrigerator. However, it lacks silverware, dinner plates, cups/glasses and dish washer. The sink is a bar type sink which is very small and its equipped with an oversized faucet making washing dishes very hard to do. There are not many drawers for storage and there is hardly any countertop space. In addition, it has a bad design that there is no space between the microwave oven and the full size refrigerator making it impossible to open the microwave door more than 1/3 of the way. The designer should be fired for the job. The bathroom is pretty good of decent size with a walk-in shower and glass doors and it has very good lighting. However, other rooms may not have the same features. The worst part of the hotel is the high speed internet. Though it claims to have high speed internet, the connection is around 2 Mbps most of the times. I have only gotten one intermittent event that its over 10 Mbps. I could hardly connect my computer to the hotel high speed internet. By the way, the internet is hosted by AT&T. The hotel is very close to the Susquehanna River Walk which is a very good walking trail.
My room was clean, bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was not as good as other places I have stayed with free breakfast. Oatmeal was instant, not cooked and eggs were some sort of folded triangle. There was no fresh fruit either. The only good thing was the pancake maker machine. You just pushed a button and it made 2 fairly good pancakes.
Spent the night on our way to Corning, NY. Glad we chose this location. The staff was very attentive. The room superb - large, clean, comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. Room faced the highway, but still was quiet. Breakfast choices were great. They even had two meat choices. The bacon was cooked properly, not limp and greasy nor all stuck together in a pile. Omelets, fruit, oatmeal choices and all of the other staples HIE normally has for breakfast. If ever in the area again - we will definitely stay at this property.
Since my daughter started Penn College I/we have stayed at this hotel at least 7 time. Great staff, great beds and great location. My only down fall was I was not able to stay here at move in time due to the Little League W/S. I am glad it was only one time!! Really like this HI Express, my home while in Williamsport.
Never again. We often stay here as ee travel from the Carlinas to Western NYS. Traveling through today for a family funeral. First we have traveled in 16 months. We are retired seniors and USAF Veterans. We were told we had to order food to purchase a drink. A nice young man overheard and sat at our table to share his plate. We were confronted by a very angry young waitress and thrown out. No respect for Seniors. This person has no business working with the public. We will never darken their door again.
This is a great example of a wonderful hotel! Everything about our stay here was A ! The room, pillows, mattress, cleanliness....everything was perfect. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and the service was great! If you havent stayed with this chain lately...you are missing out on a treat!
Standard HIE. The staff was great. There were several sports tournaments during my month long stay and the kids were noisy (not the hotel staffs fault), so there were a few nights (on the weekends) that I was jolted awake by kids running up and down the halls and talking loudly. For the size of room I had, the television was small. I also want to personally thank Heidi and the rest of the staff for taking care of my business partners and I during our month long stay. Well be back up there in a few weeks.
Gave the restaurant another shot at breakfast, first time previous month it took over 30 minutes to deliver food, coffee was served promptly. This time, it was over 30 minutes and nothing, not even the coffee. We had to leave, we were now late again to a meeting due to the very poor service or lack of it at all when you dont serve anything. Same younger gentleman was the server, when I asked about why he didnt bring the coffee out right away, he advised he thought we wanted it when the food was going to be served, yet we saw 3 other tables not only get their food ahead of us even though they came in after, they got their drinks promptly. Other than morning staff, the hotels here are great. Night staff in restaurant great too. Such a night and day difference. If not for this poor breakfast service, this hotel would be 5 starts in service.
We were looking for a place to get away for a night and this place was perfect. The pool was great and the breakfast was great, thats all that matters to the kids. Other than a slow elevator, we had a great time. Especially since our water lines were frozen at home.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
First, the room was good, clean and comfortable. No overall complaints. However, there was a quirky things that were irksome. First, the Holiday Inn Express shares the spot with a Holiday Inn with separate checking at separate doors. Although this isnt a hard issue to overcome, they have it backwards on Google so the map had us stop at wrong spot. Second, it was very humid, and they had mopped the floors but had to have blowers to dry it. It was still wet even the next morning. Finally, the internet wifi was very very unstable and would not stay connected. This was very frustrating. So, although the room was of typical good quality the quirky issues were irksome.
My husband and I traveled from out of town and arrived earlier than expected. We were pretty exhausted and thought to check in if possible. Not only were we able to check in at 10am, we were given a free room upgrade which was quite nice. It was quite nice to get inti the room this early and rest up after a long drive.
Find out if there is a childrens sports tournament going on as if there is they will eat the entire breakfast food and they will run out. The service staff was amazingly accommodating in that she had eggs in the back and cooked them to order feeling terrible that these sports groups/with accompanied parents were over stuffing their plates with no consideration for others. I dont blame the staff, but I do think that if the groups are staying at the sister hotel....which they were....they should not be allowed to eat at the establishment that had the buffet breakfast. Their hotel had the restaurant and a special set up for their teams that they did not use. So, if you have no other choice but to share with sports teams, go early to eat. The water could have had more pressure in the shower. A bill for another room was sent to ours and the price was less but the front desk said that since we had agreed to our price, we couldnt get the better price as they had. Oh well. Nice quiet hotel once the teams left and exceptionally clean.
This hotel was great, very nice lobby and great first impression. The man at the front desk was very helpful and fast with check in. My favorite part about holiday inn is that every morning before checkout I have my receipt hanging on my door. This saves me the time from going down to front desk every morning and requesting a copy of my receipt because work requires us to do so.
Well my stay was very comfortable and the people was very nice but there is two things that could use a little cleaning is the seating in the breakfast area and the washing machine every thing else was very very nice I just want to say thanks to all the worker for making it a great place to stay .
I like this hotel because the staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and you get a free breakfast with your stay. Its at a really nice location in Williamsport, very close to everything especially Lycoming College. The only thing I would say is if you like to bath instead of shower, ask if your room has a tub. Ive never had a room with just a shower, but thats what we got this last time.
My stay was just as I would expect from the HI family of hotels. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. The staff was friendly and always offering to help. The bed was a little skimpy on covers but since it was spring we just adjusted the room temp and had no issues.
We traveled with another couple to motorcycle ride the back roads of pa. we changed hotels just for the free breakfast, which was disappointing. there was a burned out light on my nightstand, we swapped it out. the bathroom was clean and well stocked. housekeeping did not leave coffee refills for second morning. the only elevator was very busy sunday morning for our departure, and couldnt fit 2 porters. also, first morning, while eating breakfast we could overhear the front desk associate in a discussion with someone on the phone.
Picking up my daughter at college, needed a place to stay after a long drive. Have stayed here in the past and like the staff and location. Although this hotel could use a little updating, it is well worth the money and I am looking forward to my next stay in November.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a quick visit as we were there for college orientation. Im sure we will stay again within the next four years. It was comfortable sleeping. The breakfast was not that great. My son liked the choices, but he is a carb eater. He liked the pancakes and had juice and the cinnamon bun. The bacon was ok, not great. The egg / omelet type with cheese was ok. They do offer dry cereal and yogurt and bagels and toast also. I guess I am fussy with breakfast choices. I cant eat yogurt and I dont eat cereal. There was also a sausage patty.
Most rooms contain only showers, so if you are looking for a tub/shower combination you need to ask. The staff was accommodating and the breakfast area had a hot breakfast available. While the servers were all helpful, one particular server was very friendly and went above and beyond with her willingness to help us with special dietary needs. There was more than adequate parking and it was within walking distance of a movie theater and dining. There is also a Kohls Dept Store and Wegmans grocery store right in the same parking lot area we could walk to. We really didnt have to drive anywhere.
I stayed here for 4 nights, checked out and then stayed another night for work. First off, the hotel is really hard to get to from traffic, you can see it, but theres no signs you can see from a car while driving in, so I drove past it the first time. Then mistakenly went into the Holiday Inn lobby (the guy in front of me did the same thing). Once I got to the Holiday Inn Express lobby, check in went smoothly and quickly. My room appeared clean (although I did find a melted candy corn under the mattress edge). The first night I realized the alarm clock didnt work, so I left a note saying it was broke on Monday morning. It wasnt until Wednesday when they took it but didnt replace it.Housekeeping was pretty bad the first two days, they didnt replenish my toiletries, didnt empty the trash cans, and didnt clean the toilet. The other days I was there, they did do that stuff, just depend on who worked that day. Every day their version of making the bes is just flopping the blankets and sheets back without tucking them in.The breakfast buffet was really good though. Food was above average for a hotel breakfast. They do not have a waffle maker, but do have a pancake machine. There is only one elevator, which does get slow/busy at times. But there are at least stairs nearby. The first room I stayed in was a double queen bed which did not have a tub, just a shower with clear glass doors. The second room was a king bed with sofa, which had the tub/shower most hotels have. So if you have kids and need a tub, make sure to ask for one of those rooms.
Hotel is average for a Holiday inn express. Breakfast pancake machine wasnt working at all and no substitutes were offered. I have seen much better cuisine at other holiday inn expresses so was surprised.Food was luke warm so suggest someone check that.Hotel is kind of hard to find and get in the parking lot and its kind of strange that it is attached to the holiday inn itself and both at different rates but sharing pool. Was not real happy that a large wedding party made arrangements here at a special discount that turned out to be two bucks when I could have reserved the same room for twenty dollars less online at the same hotel. That was ridiculous so HI Express you get bad marks. Folks--dont call, go online. And remember, the regular holiday inn is attached!!The bar there is, BTW, pretty good and the appetisers there, delicious but its not the HI Express.
We decided last minute to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Williamsport, PA late on a Friday night on our way to Niagara Falls. The front desk was very accommodating in giving us a room for a great price for our short stay. We were very satisfied with the comfortable accommodations and breakfast in the morning before we left. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again!
The quality of the hotel is nice, but the quality of the staff is pretty terrible. No one is very friendly at check-in or check-out. The breakfast attendant was awful and very rude. There was no food or coffee and it was not up-kept whatsoever. When she was asked for items she seemed as though she was being inconvenienced. When I made the initial reservation via phone, I received an email verification for the room block price that they had told me. Two days later, I received an email saying that they had upped the rate that I had originally been told to an extra $100. I had to call to have them fix it back to the original booking price.
I stay here for business purposes every few weeks and always have a very pleasant experience. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and its conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and grocery within walking distance. I love this after a long day on the road. Its nice to be able to walk nearby and grab some dinner. I will continue to stay here when Im working in the Williamsport area.
The staff were great, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was set up well... but we stayed there to get rest before hiking Ricketts Glen and the room we were in was LOUD. We were woken up multiple times just from normal noises that we shouldnt have been able to hear. Like people walking around in the room above us, a loud bang, and we were pit right next to the elevator. The hotel was pretty empty that night too. I could just imagine how bad it would be when full... so we were a little tired in the morning for our hike.
I spent 37 hours on the road and just wanted to crash. Ended up having to move rooms three times for various reasons. The two young men behind the counter treated me exceedingly well and upgraded my room, reduced cost and free drink/app voucher. I did not ask for these perks and was not upset at the situation, they simply treated me very well. Have nothing but good things to say about these two employees and I hope management takes note of this.
I was pleasantly delighted by my recent stay in Williamsport, PA HI Express. The parking was accessible to the hotel entrance. The welcome was very gracious and prompt. The room exceeded my expectations by being very light, comfortable, and up to date. I enjoyed the comfortable bed and the choice of pillow softness. I definitely will be back when I am next in Williamsport!
In September 2017 the Holiday Inn hosted my fiftieth high school class reunion. The room and hotel service were perfect. The guest relations specialist was an excellent resource for all our needs. She invited us to return at any time and she has assisted in reservations. Holiday Inn Express prepares everything for their guests. I was able to meet classmates in the common area, the staff of the party room was so accommodating. I will continue to return to the Holiday Inn Express and get points to help reduce costs of future visits.
We made reservation five months ahead at the Genetti Hotel. We spent a good part of time traveling via air and car that night. Finally we got to the Genetti Hotel to check in, frontdesk staff told us the reservation was cancelled. Thanks to Sarah at Holiday Inn Express, we were able to have a place to stay for the night and two more nights after. It was 2AM when all of this happen. We are very graceful for Sarahs help. Thank you so much for doing above and below call of duty.

2022-04-24Positive: Very clean. Location suited our needs nicely.Walking distance to Perkins and Weagmans. Very nice and attentive kitchen/breakfast lady. Negative: Signage is confusing. The Hamptom Inn sign is predominant. You need a bigger Holiday Inn Express sign I keep trying to check into the Hampton Inn each time we arrive. By now I should know better but off the road travelers will wind up at the Hamptom Inn

2022-03-31We need to visit Williamsport about once a month. We will always stay here! The staff is friendly; the room is clean and comfortable; because we are IHG members we are able to have a late checkout upon request. The ladies who work in the breakfast area are so friendly and accommodating. They met my toddler grandson the day before and saved a special cup for him for breakfast. It feels like coming home when we get there. Couldnt ask for more than that!!

2022-04-26This is a good location and the stay was comfortable. There is not enough sound proofing between connecting rooms. Breakfast was good, but there is a need for more consideration in organizing groups that overwhelm the resource.

2022-04-25The place felt new and clean. Breakfast was good but not as extensive as some other HIE locations weve visited. The elevator was confusing, with two doors that let into different hotels.

2022-04-17Positive: Good easy location. Breakfast. Negative: No toilet paper when we arrived. Asked the desk and had to call again in an hour. Unacceptable. And there was a bug.

2022-05-02Breakfast area has a in door and an out door, neither marked very well. Lady was yelling at everyone for using the wrong door. Either mark them better or cut out the wall to see threw to see the people coming and going.

2022-05-26Positive: The tub in the new room we got moved to. Negative: Our first room had three filthy rags on the bathroom sink, one wet hand towel by the toilet, and some nasty cleaning tool left in the bathroom

2021-11-11We loved staying here. We had a terrible experience at a Wyndham hotel recently and it just made us so much more able to appreciate a well run hotel. Everything was perfect and made us feel very well taken care of. The staff here are absolutely darling. Loved every interaction we had. We got confused a couple times with the connected holiday inn but nothing unpleasant. Just tried to check in at wrong front desk initially and sometimes got off the elevator in the wrong hotel.
