We loved our stay. We came into town for a high school wrestling tournament for our son. We thoroughly enjoyed the large room, the restaurant the town. There are so many brewery and restaurants that are convenient to this holiday inn, and the restaurant that is conveniently located in the hotel. My husband and I will return next year.
I highly recommend this hotel. Friendly staff and clean! The room was quiet and comfortable. The beds were awesome as well. I liked the fact they had automatic doors. My husband is disabled and the auto doors were so helpful! The location was convienient and right off the exit of the freeway. Also easy access to shopping, grocery store, downtown, ect. I cant say enough good things about our stay. Thank you!
Everything was great. The cleanliness, the friendliness, the pool, the accommodations, the breakfast, and room service meal. We enjoyed our stay and was close to the events that we were going to. We had a beautiful view from our room and the room itself was quite cozy. The bathroom was big and loved the stand up shower with the glass doors. The ac was outstanding! We enjoyed our stay, and will be back next year for our next family reunion! Thanks Holiday Inn for making our stay memorable!
Room and hotel were very clean. It is a concrete structure and thus quiet. Beds were comfortable with 4 pillows per bed. Nice large vanity top in bathroom for toiletries. There is a Keurig for coffee in the room but only 2 pods. Free coffee in the lobby was very nice though. Pool looked nice and clean. Back lobby had lots of comfy seating and large screen TV. There was always staff available if you needed help. Good selection of drink and snacks to purchase next to the front desk. Downtown location was easy access and short walk to good restaurants. The on-site restaurant and bar was shut down for renovations. We are surely going to make this our new place to stay for Williamsport. Son goes to PCT.
Excellent hotel. Very clean and comfortable! Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and held conversations readily. The James restaurant was great. Good food and wonderful service! Would definitely recommend this hotel to others! And would stay again if ever in the area!!
Staff were all very kind, welcoming, and provided great service. Hotel was clean and well kept. When our heat wasnt working at checkin, the night manager immediately moved our room and sent maintenance. The sense if urgency for service recovery was spot on. Great job!
We stayed here because our son was wrestling in the area. We were thoroughly pleased with the location, cleanliness and accommodations on site. From our check in to eating in the restaurant to check out, we will be back next year!! Thank you to all the staff, their pleasant demeanor and the cleanliness of the hotel.
I really like Williamsport and the surrounding area, so I may be a little biased. But I stay at this Holiday Inn every time I come to town and I usually stay at another hotel chains properties. The staff are always very helpful and it’s a beautiful spot with a very good restaurant on site. The restaurant is currently being renovated but they still make a great ala carte breakfast, and the back patio is open. Tim in the restaurant welcomes everyone with a smile and makes you feel at home. Nate at the front desk is very helpful as is the rest of the front desk staff I just can’t remember their names! Everyone seems pretty happy to work there and it shows.
I changed rooms twice before checking out early. The first room had hair all over the bathroom and the desk was visibly dirty. The second room had a wash cloth from a previous guest left sitting on top of the shower curtain. The front desk was very courteous when I brought my complaints forward and asked to check out early. However, housekeeping is doing a fast and dirty job on the room turnover so I do not recommend staying.
Staff pleasant, clean room, really nice swimming pool. I wasn’t a fan of how their breakfast was set up. Of you wanted a quick breakfast to go, it was $5.00 . Breakfast was included with room but had to be ordered from main menu. The dining area was dark and drab. It was the library where breakfast was served. Other than breakfast everything was very nice, The James patio was excellent!! And Margaritas were to die for!!
Very clean but a lot of the furniture in the room and throughout the hotel are beat up. Staff was helpful and friendly however our breakfast experience was less than ok. She was nice but good luck trying to get a dirty plate off your table (or the adjacent empty tables). If i knew prior to booking that the main indoor dining and bar was closed for renovation i would of booked elsewhere. Not good business practice to advertise an amenity and it not be available during your stay. Overall decent hotel but couple of other choices in the area that are equal for less money.
Location was great. Easy walk to restaurants and breweries. Fourth of July fireworks and entertainment in parking lot next door. Our bed was dirty in the first room we were assigned. We asked to be moved. Second room was cleaner, but hadn’t been vacuumed in a while…stuff all over floor. These things made us question the cleanliness of everything else in our rooms. Great value. Staff was nice…especially those working the parking lot.
This Holiday Inn was very busy, and very full, upon our arrival. There was not a parking space to be found in the lots next to the building. We found parking in the back. Check in was easy, and our room was nice and cool upon arrival. The overnight stay was pleasant, and our queen beds were super comfortable. The only complaint is some hair found in the tub from the previous guest. Check out was easy. We did not partake in the hotel breakfast.
The Holiday Inn offered great value for the money spent. The breakfast was a sit down meal (not a grab and go) and really was the best part of our stay. The room was spacious but very dated. We were disappointed with the old, stained furnishings and well-worn pieces. A renovation is needed. Employees were very cordial and helpful.
This place is dirty I told them last night about it and today its still not v vacuum and we where locked out of our room today this place has definitely went down hill the pool is supposed to be heated and the room is warm but the pool is cold no wonder there isnt no one in the pool
This was a great hotel to stay for a college visit with our son and family. The staff are very nice and helpful. The Hotel and room are very comfortable and clean. The outdoor bar is very nice to hang out at. This Hotel is great for walking to other restaurants. It is close to everything. Great value.
The staff were super friendly and attentive, however the hotel itself was not the best. My room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned (floors not vacuumed, bathroom dusty and dirty floor, debris from previous guest left in room, etc.) and all the toilets on the 4th floor were prone to clogging/had a slow flush. The hotel it’s self is also hard to find with a nondescript entrance. Although I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it, I do want to reiterate that the staff was lovely and definitely made the stay more tolerable!
We have stayed here in the past when visiting family in Maryland. And it does not disappoint. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool is great and The James is the hotel restaurant for dinner was AMAZING. Probably one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The breakfast was not as good, just ok. But the service was wonderful.
I like being able to come over the bridge from Rt 15 and swing into the streets leading to the hotel from Market street. I dont like having to search for a parking space in among all the large trucks that seem to park there. It is clean and has on-site restaurant and bar. I have occasionally used the pool and its a convenience. Rooms seem updated and are clean. Staff are cordial, helpful and can answer questions. New bar area is appealing and bartenders can make drinks. Quick service.
First I must stress that all the employees are very nice and helpful, and my room was clean and relatively modern. But as a business traveler, the weak wi-fi caused me a major problem. The signal was very weak, and I lost my signal several times. I was on calls with colleagues and had to stall several times when the signal dropped. Not good. Less crucial but no less irritating, the DirectTV signal was dropped by my TV more times than I could count. I would consider staying there again, and even recommend it, but only if they get the wi-fi and TV issues fixed.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay. It is typical of a Holiday Inn hotel. It was clean and adequately staffed. The staff were courteous and attentive even though it was a busy weekend. Unfortunately the restaurant was in the midst of being renovated during our stay.
The staff are such kind and accommodating people. I’ve stayed here multiple times and each visit the staff always goes above and beyond to make your stay the best possible. This is always my number 1 choice when staying in Williamsport. Great experience for the price.
We arrived late on a Friday night and was warmly greeted. I mistakenly went to the wrong hotel. Both Holiday Inn and HI Exoress are connected, so check your reservation before checking in! Theres a nice pool and gym area and the best breakfast selection that we experienced throughout our 4 night road trip .Highly recommend!
The place was well kept, very clean and extremely professional and friendly staff... The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds on the other hand were the worst I’ve ever slept on in any hotel. They felt like we were sleeping on concrete boxes and were extremely uncomfortable causing us to get no sleep due to them being uncomfortable. Other than the uncomfortable beds the place was great. The young lady in the dining area who served me and my son breakfast in the morning was great, she was extremely attentive, helpful and super friendly making that experience much better than anticipated after the uncomfortable night me and my son had. She definitely brightened up the day and she should be commended for her professionalism.
The rooms are big and spacious! Staff was friendly. I recommend purchasing the breakfast option its good for grab n go or sitting in the Library to eat. They actually have a full menu with pancakes, eggs, bacon, pork or turkey sausage, toast, cereal, breakfast potatoes, coffee, juice, and much more! The food was delicious! They have an indoor pool open until 11pm and a 24 hour gym and laundry! Ice machine are on your floor by the elevator! Also restaurants and Wegmans in walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay
This Holiday Inn had an excellent staff and was very clean. The Bar / Restaurant had very good food and drinks as well. The prices are reasonable and you get a good value. My stay did have a few minor issues. I do believe that there was a hotel party across the hall and down a door. I heard a lot of voices, laughter and music, well past midnight. Also, the heater in my room was very loud and woke me up on multiple occasions. I do not believe that either of these two items are are typical for this or any other Holiday Inn. It will not effect my decision to stay at this establishment again.
Our say was only for one night, service was great loved location. I had a personal request and the staff was very helpful. We happen to have a major storm hit as we where at outside bar. We all where soaked and had to end our evening early. I wish there was a better was to get back into the building without getting wet. Not the staffs fault at all and they were very apologetic.
It was an excellent stay except for finding a box of screws in the room when I arrived. Dont know if they were left over from maintenance or a previous guest but it makes me question how seriously you take keeping a room clean during covid-19. Otherwise the staff are Excellent, the room was very clean, and the service for both my stay and the class the next morning was top notch. Bravo....
This place is awesome. The staff is so great and helpful, especially Ryan who work first shift! We were kinda annoying. I wanted a room with a whirlpool tub and when we booked none were available. We asked to switch the next day if available and it was! They had 2 and the first 1 we didn’t love. The other was perfect! He didn’t get angry or short. Just professional and accommodating. I will def be staying at this place again next time! Thx!!!
The room was very clean .The beds were great for a sound sleep. Our room was guiet did not hear any road noise or city sounds. We had room service from the hotel restaurant. Service was great and Friendly. Menu was more than you could want.Food was excellent and reasonable price.
The Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are actually side-by-side at this location in Williamsport. I stayed at both during a two week period. Both are very clean and inviting. I must say I slept a bit better at the Express compared to the Holiday. I think the beds are maybe a bit more comfy there. However, both hotels are very nice and the staff is very friendly at both locations.
Crystal (front desk) is by far the best person there!! The rooms are very clean, big, and come with a mini fridge and microwave along with a desk, desk chair and a chair with a footstool, 2 nightstands, a few lamps, and your bed! The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable!! The showers are a decent size! The towels are softer than other hotels that I’ve stayed at. The gym was nice and they even had separate towels for you in the gym. The pool is only 4 feet deep but it’s nice and again they have towels out for you. We only had breakfast here and it was okay. There is a restaurant right inside the hotel but we didn’t eat there. We will definitely be back!!!!!
The minute you take a step in the hotel you’re already feeling like you are welcomed at home the staff memebers at the front desk are very nice and friendly! The rooms are very relaxing! The beds are very comfortable I get the best sleep while sleeping there. The bathrooms are always nice and very clean love the showers heads!
A nice stay with an attentive staff. Really no complaints at all. Could have had some coffee condiments in the room so I do not have to go down stairs to get them. Also would have been nice to have a TV channel guide in the room. Would I recommend and stay in this hotel again? Absolutely!
Our experience at the hotel was excellent the service was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the outdoor garden dining area. The food and cocktails were delicious, our waitress was very pleasant and professional. Our room was meticulously cleaned and we especially enjoyed the walk in shower. I couldn’t have been more pleased with this hotel.
This Holiday Inn was impeccably clean! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The towels were plush and absorbent. The walk in shower was a wonderful surprise. The bed and pillows were perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful and welcoming! We were able to have a touch less check in. The breakfast to go was wonderful and fresh decaf coffee was prepared just for us. We felt safe and well cared for! I highly recommend this hotel!
Very comfortable beds. Literally some of the softest pillows and best comforters Im the entire hotel industry, and I stay in hotels 38 weeks a year. No 24/7 coffee, and no hot breakfast. Understandable but still disappointing. I also dont want to share soaps and shampoos with previous guests, its gross. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, and most all of the staff was very nice. All in all of definitely stay here next time Im in town on business.
The restaurant was closed and an outdoor patio had a temporary bar. Their wasn’t enough seating or space to accommodate my group. The room was dirty and I incurred many “bug” bites sleeping. Overall, this hotel left a very poor representation of the usual high quality of Holiday Inn.
We had an excellent experience with this Holiday Inn. Everyone I have encountered was very nice and accommodating. Check in was easy and quick. Accommodations were good. Even though the hotel was pretty full, it was quiet. We used the ballroom for a special event. The hotel team added special touches that elevated my event to a better than expected experience!
This Holiday Inn is adjacent to a HIE, free parking and close to Wegmans, Kohls, and downtown. Rooms were comfortable. Upon check in we were offered ala carte breakfast at $5 per room which sounded good, but in the morning we saw signs directing us to s comp breakfast at HIE. Even better!
It was an okay stay but I was very disappointed in the beds. Theyre as hard as the floor. Awful! Due to covid they arent doing the complimentary breakfast but still charge for the grab and go breakfast. ARE YOU KIDDING!? Every other hotel weve stayed in since covid made their grab and go breakfast complimentary. They allowed our kids to eat but not the adults without a coupon. I feel for covid regulations this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional for the hotel during this time.
The hotel was filthy. It has not been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. The smoking area for guests is right by the front door. Want to enter the hotel? Great. Have to walk through a cloud of nasty smoke to check in or get to your room! The staff was super nice, but it is not enough to make up for the bad elements. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
To the lady that checked me in. You were awesome, i totally would’ve done some dishes for you. You remembered me just from my voice over the phone. Fixed the problem the website and 800 number was useless for. Upgraded us to “your finest broom closet.” You made my stay. Overall i loved the room. The cleaners did miss some fine details, like a bottle of water between the bed and nightstand, and there was black on the grout lines in the shower/steam room which is a little concerning. The ceiling had obviously had a leak from the roof which had bubbling and discoloring in spots. I had the made to order breakfast, the food was good, the waitress was professional yet personable, we had a good chat. Overall good experience aside from some esthetics.
Clean, friendly with excellent service. Weekend softball tournament turned into a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us and they were businesslike yet they treated us like they knew us for years. I left something in the morning and before I even got home I had a phone call from the hotel letting me know. With everything going on with Covid, this hotel was ready with signs posted and hand sanitizer available. If you choose this hotel I’m sure you will be happy… I am. Enjoy!
The room was nice and clean. We had access to the gym and pool with limited capacity. You can request No room service during your stay to avoid other people coming in the room due to the current situation. The only things we didnt like is that they didnt provide the right number of towels in the room and provided us with an empty tissue box it had literally 3 tissues 🙄.Enjoy your vacation and Stay safe you guys.
What a lovely clean hotel. On arrival. Welcomed in couldnt do enough for us .I would especially like to thank .mouhcine.and szizi brilliant at there job .this must be recognised. Great staff .thankyou for a lovely stay .Downtown Holiday Inn. I will be booking again. Nice rooms and breakfast
The people and staff at this location was very nice and accommodating! Lots of children at the pool with no supervision which was a little trouble some but I dont blame the employees or hotel. Some parents just werent supervision their chidden and let run around the pool area with no regards to the other children at pool area.
I had one very disappointed 13 year old daughter who really couldn’t celebrate her birthday the traditional way with COVID effecting so many businesses. I decided to take her a 3 of her friends for a stay at a hotel for the night. When we arrived Crystal was working at check in and truly was such a pleasure to deal with. She went above and beyond and her hospitality absolutely made our stay one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced. Every single employee we engaged with was truly accommodating and genuinely treated us fantastic. We had the pleasure of meeting Kay
I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn. The room was clean and met my expectations with the exception of the shower head had no pressure and look like it was from the 1970s. The staff was excellent very friendly very professional And made sure that we had everything that we needed.
Our first room had a musty smell like someone was smoking in it even the hallway had an odor. I asked for a new room and the staff was very nice about it. We stayed for 2 nights and it was very comfortable and relaxing. The pool was great just was a bit messy towels all over but someone came in and cleaned up.
Toilet repeatly flushed, room was very dusty, air unit a little noisy. Our room was located under a construction area...very early wake up.The staff was very lazy, tried to get Sugar for coffee or tea for two days. They did not replenish the 2 coffee stations. We had a nice stay.
Plenty of amenities within walking distance, which we took advantage of daily. The pool was great and I enjoyed the gym. Overall clean throughout the hotel but our room was not cleaned properly before we arrived or during our stay. I’m a clean freak so that bothered me to see other people’s hair all over the bathroom. The front desk and service staff downstairs were so helpful and nice. Mrs. Kay is a GEM!! I do recommend this hotel as our overall experience was pleasant!
Have stayed multiple times at Holiday Inn in Williamsport for work. Always nice staff. This time the heater/ac unit didnt want to stay steady. Would have to turn it on, wake up very warm, turn heat off, wake up in a couple hours cold, repeat. Other than that restaurant is solid and nice facilities.
Live in VA and travel to Buffalo several times a year to visit family. This trip was to the Finger lakes. Always stop in Williamsport as it is the half way spot. We love the town and always stay at the Holiday Inn. This trip we got upgraded to a large suite on the top floor! Made the trip even better!!Thanks!!
Some group played loud music and the hotel didnt do anything about it. Wasnt able to sleep. Multiple guests went to the front desk to complain and nothing was done. I go to a hotel to sleep and I wasnt even able to do that. When I talked to the manager she was rude about the whole situation.
From the first minute you walk in, you are made to feel like a valued guest. The pool and exercise room are clean with modern equipment. The room itself is spacious, quiet and comfortable. I really like the bed and pillows. Finally, if youre able to enjoy a little late night adventure, the lounge in the hotel is all you need. Great atmosphere with happy staff and excellent food, both variety and quality. Overall, I love this hotel and only stay here when Im in town!
Quality of the stay was very nice. Comfortable Beds and nice rooms if your staying in the executive suite. Bathroom was great but the shower was very tiny. The bathroom paper supply was very minimal but that was no prob. Overall I would recommend and stay at this hotel again.
Honestly, overall the stay was fine. Front desk employee Jennifer was SUPER nice and very helpful. When we initially arrived (which was late at night) our first room was HORRIBLE and smelled SO bad of cigarettes. I mean, NO WAY that anyone couldve not smelled that. It was bad. As soon as we opened the door. The 2nd room was good. The beds were very comfortable. The soundproofing could definitely be better. (or we were just on an extremely noisy floor) In the morning we didnt realize breakfast was only take and go until 9:00am. So, they did say someone would meet us in the breakfast room to grab quick things. (no breakfast sandwiches) We took the exit stairs (which after walking down from the 4th floor) and they led to the kitchen. A guy was working and he just stared at us. Didnt say a word. So, we went back up and came to the 2nd floor with an elevator and were told by the cleaning staff that we couldnt use that one. So, we went down the hallway and came to another elevator which we were able to take back to the lobby area and down the hallway to the breakfast room. It was a fine place to stay.
Loved the hotel for the most part. However approx 3am on my first night there it sounded like the circus came in on the 5th floor. Woke both of us up with the loud talking and multiple door slamming it got to the point I actually called the front desk and all they could offer was to move me to another room. .. I was extremely close to calling the Police next due to disturbing the peace.. however they finally quieted down after 4 am.. then the day we were leaving all we could here was loud fighting and screaming in the same rooms. Was never so glad to leave a hotel.. at least the breakfast was good..
Crystal and Ryan at the front desk are awesome! Crystal made things right with an upgraded reservation after a discrepancy happened in my initial reservations. No problem. She made everything better right away and has excellent customer service! It’s a good hotel and a great value and I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to Williamsport, thanks again for the additional accommodations! Appreciate it, see you next time I’m in the area!!! All the best
Some construction was going on at the time of my stay about a week ago but theres no excuse for what I experienced over a one night stay. The water was shut off in the morning during checkout time without any notice given so we had to use bottle water to brush our teeth and couldnt flush the toilet or shower. The shower head fell off the wall when the water eventually came back on almost two hours later. The room had been cleaned by housekeeping prior to my check in and she tossed the the cleaning wipes in the toilet but neglected to flush them down. I went down to the businesses center area to print some documents that I needed for a work meeting in the morning and both computers connected to the printer were not working. The night front desk manager tried to fix them but couldnt get either computer online so I couldnt print my documents. I would NOT recommend anyone staying here.
My wife and I stayed here as a surprise night away for her birthday. The room was great and The James had some amazing food. Our server Justin was a great guy and made the evening fun. He was attentive and made great suggestions for our meals. Crystal, Ryan, and Brian were the three people I interacted with at the front desk and they were all top-notch! Professional, easy to talk to, and extremely helpful in planning my surprise. My wife and I had our reception to our wedding at this property 6 years ago and though the years have changed, the quality of this establishment has not. Overall, an excellent place to stay in Williamsport for a night getaway.
I was extremely pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Williamsport. Not knowing what to expect, my room was extremely clean, comfortable, and very spacious. I did not encounter any problems with checkin or out. But the part that made it awesome was how pleasant and helpful the staff was to everyone. I would especially like to recognize Crystal at the front desk who couldnt have been more helpful! Thank you so much for a great stay for our event.
I stayed at the hotel in the past and it was clean and nice this stay was different my first room the refrigerator did not work , I contacted front desk and they moved me to another room . In the middle of the night I saw bugs sucking and biting my four year old . I moved her to my bed which was a little better . I contacted front desk no one answered . I will not stay again
I have stayed at this hotel before many times. The staff is very nice and helpful. It was a bit loud at times but not after 10 pm. We had to leave at 4 am so we went to bed early. The room and bathroom was clean. I just could not get comfortable in the bed though which is unusual for a Holiday Inn. Overall I would stay here again. This hotel is very convenient to the town and college. You can easily walk into town.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very nicely decorated. The location was good; we were able to walk places to eat and shop. The gym was well equipped with a veriety of fitness machines and free weights. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We especially liked the Keurig coffee maker, although they need a better brand of cofffee. Fortunately, Wegmans was just a block away and we were able to buy k-cups that suit or taste. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and the price. The only thing we didn’t like was that they didn’t offer a free breakfast.
I had a great stay at this hotel. Staff was good and rooms clean and comfortable. I was visiting family that live there for the holidays. They do not offer a complimentary breakfast, but did on Christmas day as the restaurant was closed for the holiday. The restaurant, The James, breakfast was good, but service was not good. I walked to Julies one morning, just about a block from the hotel, much better service and not as pricey. I had a small electrical issue Christmas morning and someone came to my room within 5 minutes to help and got it fixed. I would stay here again.
I worked as house attendant for about a week and it was the worst job I’ve ever had. I was “trained” to do things that weren’t so clean…if whoever was training me that day walked into a room and saw the bed was “barely” slept in they would tell me not to change the sheets or linen just tidy it up to make it look nice. Hardly cleaned anything and in room 536 on 5th floor I had found a bed bug, mentioned it to the supervisor which than she instructed me to call it a “jelly bean” so the customers did not hear about it. I know what bed bugs look like I instantly got my phone out and googled a picture. She tried to tell me that wasn’t what I saw with my own two eyes, she said if you see one where are the others. Well I don’t know lady, probably underneath the mattress hiding. Learn about bugs! Disgusting and worse job I ever had. I would personally not stay there, ever.
In the world of covid and all the added promises on your website and in house of how clean and sanitary the rooms are supposed to be I was shocked. My room was barely cleaned on arrival. There were liquid spills on the night stand, debris on the desk chair, cake icing on the right of the couch (bright blue and green, probably still there if checked on), balloon string hanging from the right of the curtains, behind all furniture was filthy and just shows the lack of regular cleaning let alone additional covid prevention cleaning, Uncooked rice on the floor by the couch and desk. I alerted the front desk and he personally told me he would go up and clean the room again. He went up and came down. I went back to my room to find nothing had changed. The room was still in a state of filth and quite frankly I was scared I was going to get sick. This is a different world now and hotels need to step up and actually clean more, take more time, do it right. You need to protect the customer who lives in your rooms almost daily when working. I was truly shocked to experience this after all the world has been through with the Covid pandemic. It is a true lack of caring for what these employees are supposed to be doing each day.
I have come to love how Holiday Inns are consistently clean and comfortable. This particular room had an awesome shower and the bed was very comfortable. The person at the front desk was very courteous at check in and helped me find a restaurant nearby. She was very helpful.
My overall experience i thought was good it could have been worse but staff made sure i was happy during my stay and thats what matters. During this time of the pandemic when visiting places its always good to bring your own cleaning products and wipe over things to ensure your best health and safety.
Chose this hotel after previous pleasant stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Rooms were very relaxing and quiet. The availability of a pool and attached restaurant were bonuses. My only complaint was that the warm cookies I enjoyed in my first visit were absent this time.
We stayed for a softball tournament this weekend. The rooms were very clean however the beds were very firm. Air conditioning worked very well, but unfortunately the ice maker didnt on the 4th floor. The water drained very slowly from the bathroom and the shower head didnt work on all of the settings. There were some rude guests that had loud and using abusive language which was very disturbing. The pool was nice but very rough walls which caused a bad brush burn on my daughters knee.
We were treated like family. Granddaughter reserved a whole section for her wedding guests. We were surprised when we saw the prices for the stay were within reason. Everyone was very helpful. We shouldve asked about a handicap room but didnt know you had them available. We made do and wish to thank everyone there for accommodating us with the extra table for my husbands dialysis machine. Worked very nicely.
Our recent stay exceeded all expectations especially given the current restrictions and necessary safety and health procedures . From ease of check in to comfortable bedding and excellent service, everything was wonderful. Hotel was very clean and very well adapted to all safety procedures. Can’t wait to go back!
The staff was excellent and made my stay extremely pleasant. Theres an issue with the glass shower doors hitting the toilet, but the room was fine otherwise. The hotel restaurant/bar served great food and had a great staff also. The parking fills up by 5 or 6 PM, so keep that in mind. There is additional parking but its a bit of a walk if its cold or stormy outside.
Just as an overnight stop, we enjoyed this hotel. The rooms was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The bar area was nice for a pre-retiring cocktail. The front desk staff was nice and greeted us as we were coming and goingl We used the business area to print off a few papers necessary for our travels, so that was very convenient. This was something that popped up unplanned so it was nice to have the option to print what we needed right there. Breakfast was delicious and we had good choices. Overall, our one night stay was perfect after a long days drive.
I decided to stay here when visiting my daughter at Bucknell and the Lewisburg hotels were full. It was an easy drive and nice easy spot to find. Overall, it was a great choice. However, there is a lack of parking and I needed to park in spots that were not parking spots per se both nights. The front staff said that is normal for the area and not to worry about it. She did offer to give me a free parking voucher for the garage across the street, but I didnt feel entirely safe doing that at such a late hour. Also, it has a lot of Little League players who stay over. I love kids, but their parents would allow them to race and scream up and down the halls and then they literally took over the pool. I think that the hotel needs to set clear expectations for guests that they all adhere to. The hotel is just not for Little Leaguers!!
Thank you for everything! From the time you step into the lobby everyone is so congeal and courteous. The front desk staff always smiling and kind. The room are comfortable and clean. The dining experience was excellent (and the beverages were cold). The check out went flawless.Cant wait to stop back.Well ended up staying 2 nights due to weather. And your hospitality was great.
When working in the area i always stay at Holiday Inn and i am never disappointed, after working all day i can take a shower and go right downstairs for a great dinner and drink at St. James place which is located inside the hotel so no need to drive. Food is excellent and Tim is a great bartender. Would recommend this hotel to any traveler coming through this area.
1. Bar staff continuously tossed empty beer bottles in trash receptical resulting on several occasions loud glass breaking sounds. The trash can is located directly in front of bar seats. The loud crashes/glass breaking were somewhat disturbing.Be sure to check with bar staff to ensuretakeout order includes utensils, mine did not.2. Suite w jacuzzi included large spots of hair stuck to wall throughout jacuzzi.Would not recommend suite if prefer sanitized jacuzzi. Disappointing experience.3.Staff at check in was pleasant. Will seek alternative hotel accommodations on future stays in Williamsport.Try to keep posted experiences fairly positive but this was not a good experience.
Comfortable rooms and beds with a surprising amount of space. Windows provided a decent amount of natural light. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure was perfect. Service was very friendly and my party and I were able to have a pleasant conversation with the person at the front desk. Free snacks and small meals like oatmeal and muffins were provided in the cafe for breakfast. Definitely enjoyed my stay.
I have stayed at this hotel before and have always had a great experience. This time it was during the Little League World Series so it was crowded with people and cars for parking. There was more noise than normal because of the excitement with the teams and pin trading. It was not a horrible experience, just noisier than usual. I did have a problem with the cleanliness of the shower and the staff couldnt have been nicer to resolve the problem. As for the tv issue, I stay at Holiday Inns wherever I go throughout the US. This is the only one where there is no channel guide when you use the remote. There is usually a card with the channels but there was not one in the room. It would have been nice to end the night with a show I would have enjoyed without channel surfing for an hour between commercials and trying to figure out what was on, besides the sports and national news outlets. I called the front desk and that person seemed annoyed and didnt want to help. She sent someone up and he was very nice but he explained they got new tvs and are transitioning. Again, the hotel was packed and there were more important problems than the tv channels but it would be nice if this could finally be resolved since I stay here at least 4 times a year.
Nice place, would stay again. Highly recommended. The front desk clerk looked happy and pleasant when I arrived. No free breakfast but that didnt change anything. Room was clean, bathroom looked very clean. Everything worked and the free Wi-Fi was decent for my online business and email needs.
Would recommend this property highly , staff was wonderful, very clean room, breakfast in the restaurant was of a higher standard also. During COVID, many hotels I’m been staying at have not house cleaning during a multiple day stay, this property asked if I wanted it and delivered.
Thank you for everything! From the time you step into the lobby everyone is so congeal and courteous. The front desk staff always smiling and kind. The room are comfortable and clean. The dining experience was excellent (and the beverages were cold). The check out went flawless.Cant wait to stop back.
Staff was wonderful and happily accommodated my early check-in/late check-out requests. Kids get free breakfast and I spent the extra $5 when I booked to have my breakfast and it was worth it. This was a real, off the menu breakfast. Not the quick serve that the Holiday Inn Express does. The wait staff were fast, efficient and friendly. Our room was spotless, well decorated with sufficient number of outlets for all our devices. The only disappointment was the indoor pool. While, it is a good sized pool area with plentiful seating, the pool itself needs some repair. The tiles are coming off the bottom of the floor in large sections and are quite sharp and painful when you step on them. I also question whether it is really heated because it was cold both days we were there. Overall, this is a nice, clean hotel with a decent price for the area.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Entire hotel seemed very clean and updated, including the rooms. They were very accommodating for parking of our motorcycles. My ONLY complaint would be the cost of washing clothes ( we normally don’t wash clothes on our trips but I didn’t want to have a lot to wash when I got home!) and the fact that it took me for 50 cents more. Also the breakfast fake eggs. If Holiday Inn Express improved this, that would be awesome! Other than that, all was excellent.
Overall, it was good stay. Room was clean and bed was very comfy. Staff was friendly. One problem we encountered was at the pool. Our eyes were burning very badly. It was so bad that I waited in the hall while my daughter swam but then it got too bad for her and we left. Many other people were having the same issue. Also we needed to leave early the next morning so we were not able to enjoy breakfast because it didnt open up until 6:30. I would have liked it to open at 6:00. Other than that, good place to stay.
This was a last minute stay. My dad was unexpectedly placed on a ventilator at Susquehanna health center. I decided to stay rather than drive 3 hours home. The front desk staff was very considerate of my situation and worked to get me the best rate possible. They offered additional toiletries since I had nothing with me. For joining the loyalty program she also was able to give me a free breakfast (delicious). Everything was clean and overall quiet. I enjoyed my stay there and would stay again.
Fiancee and i just needed a room for memorial day weekend. cost was higher than we would have liked but not unmanagable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. No issues with the room or facilities. Could not find parking one evening but was able to squeeze in behind 2 buses parked lengthwise and then walked through the connecting Holiday inn Express to get to our elevators quicker.
Clean hotel, small bathroom but functional. The rooms offer no privacy. We could hear our neighbors conversations in the next room. The pillows arent the most comfortable. My phone was broken, staff was notified, no attempt to replace. Ordered room service from my cell. The restaurant menu isnt great but the food was edible. All minor inconveniences but on a positive note my room was very clean.
The premises and our room and bathroom were modern, well maintained and very clean. The receptionist was very efficient and friendly. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Amenities and also coffee and tea making facilities were provided. The on-site restaurant serves all day long. There is also a bar. The food and the drinks are varied and of good quality. The service during breakfast and dinner was outstanding. They also offer a cooked breakfast which is varied and fresh. Central location in Williamsport. We will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel. The employees offer excellent customer service.
The only complaint we had was out room faced the highway and the sign for the hotel was in front of our window. You could easily see into the window from parking lot. The problem was there was no curtain to block the lights from the highway or sign. There was a sheer on the middle of the window and floor length on each side but no way to close the long curtains as rods didnt go all the way across top of window and there were no blinds so it was difficult to sleep with all of the light. It was an awesome room and staff was very nice. Would definitely stay there again.
A computer and phone outage problem started my reservation experience off tense and chaotic. When I was able to make a reservation I explained to the concierge that the system shut down repeatedly (both phone and online reservations) during my booking. The concierge was more than understanding and up graded my room for no additional charge. The room was fantastic (it could have use some cleaning in the living room/dining room area) but the room itself featured a jacuzzi tub, and a bidet. It was awesome. I would highly recommend it. Perkins, Wegman, Kohls, the theater, and movies are all within walking distance (15 min max).Friendly staff.
Overall my one night stay was nice. The front desk agent was friendly and efficient. No free breakfast, which I thought would be a given with a suite. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean; one of the pillowcases had what appeared to be a drool stain but that was about it. We may have just gotten unlucky but there were definitely some plumbing issues in our room. My whole trip was looking forward to the jacuzzi tub which was a bit of a disappointment. The water strangely sprayed out of the tub faucet and it seemed to take a lot longer to fill up. The sink was backed up. Not being people to complain, we let the front desk know when we checked out. I would probably stay again if I could try another room.
The staff was extremely friendly and assisted with getting us checked in 2 hours early! The drawback was the room though, the bed was extremely uncomfortable as well as the pillows. The toilet seat was broken to the point there it would pinch you. The price of the room wasn’t bad though.
It was my first time ever visiting Williamsport PA but I truly enjoy my time there and the accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express was phenomenal I do recommend those who are trying to find a nice place at affordable price please check out the Holiday Inn Express you will not be disappointed.
The room was large and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and I slept line a baby. The meal was superb. I had the filet mignon and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have nothing bad to say except that the pool was down for maintenance and I really chose this hotel because it had a pool!
My wife and I held our wedding and reception at the Holiday Inn on July 13th, 2019. Our big day was absolutely perfect. The ceremony room and ballroom were immaculately clean and the food was fabulous. The staff were very professional, organized and proactive. They really went above and beyond.
I was happy with most of the hotel staff. There was one front desk person who said a bellhop would bring up extra towels, but had to request again later as they never showed up. The cleaning crew in the morning where loud outside my room, even though I had the sleeping tag on my door handle. Also the shower was not cleaned properly from the previous guest. There was a few hairs on the shower walls and soap residue left on the shelf. There was also a strange brownish staining on the ceiling above the shower that I think could be addressed and repaired/replaced.
This is the hotel I stay at every time Im Williamsport. This is the first time I was really disappointed. When I went to breakfast it had changed with brown bags to fill and take out to eat. After i had finished what i took I went back to get something else. The lady who was watching over the breakfast made a big deal of me already been through once. She was loud and rude in front of other guests.I dont believe that I should have been treated that way.
We visited the hotel for my birthday on 1/30/21. We got the pizza deal included in our package, HOWEVER the staff didn’t tell us we had to get the pizza by 9:30pm and it also wasnt on the reservation card they gave for the pizza. We also went to the restaurant and had a horrible experience with Tony. We definitely won’t be back.
From the awesome staff to the overly comfortable beds-my stay was perfect. I was there by myself. I felt very safe during my stay. The room was so quiet. I fell asleep immediately after putting my head on the plush pillows. All in all- my stay was perfect in every way. I .would highly recommend this hotel to any one. It has all the amenities any one would ever need
Staff is always friendly and helpful. The lady that does the breakfast ALWAYS does a great job. Missed eating her breakfast at the Express. I know she is limited sometimes with those disgusting omelettes but she will go above and beyond to make the guests happy. She is who why I come back.
Room was clean and didnt hear any noise from our room. Bed was very comfy. We went to the pool area but wasnt able to stay long as our eyes (and others) started burning. It was so bad we had to leave the pool area. Not sure what happened with the chemicals. Also we needed to leave early and breakfast didnt open until 6;30 on Sunday. Would have liked breakfast to be available at 6:00.
It was clean. I appreciate the last minute check in. I was on the 3rd floor. Tried to go to sleep at 7 pm. I understand it isnt the quiet time, but my floor was noisy til 1am. I was scheduled around 3am. Didnt sleep til around 2 am. Got up at 430 am. They tried to find the culprits but it was to no avail. The staff was very helpful. Stil wondering why that Holiday Inn, wasnt booked first.
If extremely comfortable and cleanliness are important to you, then look no further. The guest room was superb, the bathroom exceptionally clean with plenty of towels and wash cloths. But the best was the bed, oh my goodness! I didnt want to leave. Nearly cancelled my meeting just to stay in bed.You owe to yourself, to give this hotel a chance to serve your needs.
Extremely clean hotel. Front staff impressive and goes above and beyond the usual front desk experience. Travelled for business and the cookies provided in the lobby after a long day of meetings was most welcoming.Morning coffee provided in the lobby was a nice touch.
My wife had a Christmas party for work and we didnt want to make the hour long drive home after drinking so we reserved a room through the ihg website ahead of time and figured we would make a night of it.The room was supposed to be a king suite with a sofa, chair and whirlpool tub. What we got was a king room with no sofa and a soaking tub and tiny shower that was less than clean. The carpet in the room wasnt very clean and overall the room was dated and just looked used. Im really wondering what that stain was on the carpet...When we got to the room and realized it wasnt the suite we booked I went to the front desk to get it resolved and was given the option of another room that was also not the room we reserved. If time had permitted, we would have just left the hotel and gotten a room somewhere else, but we checked in about an hour before the party started and just didnt have the time to deal with it. We definitely wont be staying here again.Just as a note. The gentleman at the front desk was very apologetic and tried to resolve the situation, but in the end, we didnt get the room we reserved and a $20 voucher for the on site restaurant / bar wasnt going to fix that.
The water strangely sprayed out of the faucet and it took almost an hour to fill up the tub. When I turned on the jets, I noticed some black residue in the water and had to drain it and fill it again. This wasnt such a surprise having known to check this first but it took so long to refill, I spent most of my stay waiting. Housekeeping cant have the time to do this regularly. The sink was also backed up and filled up faster than the tub did. Not being people to complain, we let the front desk know when we checked out. I would probably stay again if I could try another room.
I feel this is the best place to stay while in Williamsport. Everyone is so cordial and polite. rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. Food is great.Love the Managers Reception (from 6 - 7pm on Tuesdays they have free food and beverages for staying guests) A nice little perk.
Staff is helpful, friendlyno issues at all, easy location.I purposely stay at this Hotel! The Staff are above and beyond friendly , helpful , courteous and kind ... The food in the restaurant is amazing ( The Ribeye & Pork Chops and French Onion Soup are very high on my recommendation list. ) If you want to let your hair down, go to the outside patio at the James while you enjoy an extra bit of added comfort and convenience to your budget, then this is your stop when in and around Williamsport Pennsylvania. Thank You All.

2022-06-29So, I cant say anything bad about the comfort of the rooms because they are what I would expect. The issue is that the wireless network is terrible when in the rooms. Neither my phone or my computer could get a strong enough signal to stay reliably connected when sitting at the desk or on the bed. Had to setup the side table at the door to get an OK signal (3 bars) that did not drop out. Once connected the network was pretty fast.I stayed at the neighboring IHG property (they are physically connected) the last time in town and had the same problem so was hoping it would be better at this property and it wasnt. Have to find another hotel to stay at in the future.

2022-06-24Hotel is nice and modern. Pool area and fitness area a plus and nice. however when we checked into our room it was immediately noticed that it was not clean at all. There was sticky pop on night stand, coffee rings snd sugar all over counter by coffee pot, no cups, coffee, toilet paper, towels, shampoo and conditioner, crumbs on bench. Dirty fridge and microwave and water spots all over bathroom mirror. I checked the sheets and pillow cases immediately because it was clear the house keeper was in a hurry but they were good and and floor were vacuumed but that was pretty much it. When I called down to front desk about the issues they weren’t too concerned

2022-02-06My husband and I made it 5 star 😋 however, due to the high price, and no food service, not even for breakfast, I was a little disappointed. Was actually told when we called a week before to reserve the presidential suite they did tell me that there would be food service when there was absolutely none. So they only get 3 stars. The price was over $150 for 1 night!

2022-04-19Clean rooms, very helpful staff, fresh AC unit in room, updated facilities etc. Only downfall is no hot tub in the pool area. Pool was nice and cool and clean. Pool room was also nice and warm for the season.

2022-06-21A good hotel… but, don’t stay here. Book with the attached Holiday Inn Express. The “Holiday Inn Not Express” side is more expensive, much older, dirtier, and doesn’t include free breakfast like HIE. Save some money and enjoy a modern room on the HIE side

2022-04-26Stopped in my moms room that she had reserved for my uncles wedding to get dressed. Nice rooms and everything was clean and tidy. Even found a few friends hiding around that made my day!!

2022-05-10Positive: Friendly and helpful staff (it was NOT their fault that the place is understaffed)! Shame on Holiday Inn for not paying enough (they can certainly afford that) to keep staff!!! I felt so bad for the employees. Great employees there!! The room was nice Negative: The room that we booked was not available, so we were given a coupon for one free breakfast. Yes, only one. Well, come morning we were turned away because they were understaffed and could not accommodate us for breakfast. Even the lobby coffee was empty.
