Amanda was fantastic! She took her time and patience as she inspected our house and gave us our estimate. Scott, the project manager, was wonderful to work with - very kind and took very good care of us. The crew worked very efficiently and cleaned up after. Highly recommend Home Genius Exteriors!
I got my siding done with Home Genius. I worked with Mike A and Mike B and they were both professional and courteous. Emily and Kelsey also answered all my questions before the installation and it went very smooth. My siding looks amazing, my sister ended up using them as well and I will be getting new windows with them in the next few weeks!
Kyle was very honest and informative. This process was new to us since we recently purchased our new home. He rated our windows and told us they were in good condition and didnt need to be replaced. He also advised us about a new process his company was starting in about 8 weeks doing installation of the attic. Couldnt ask for a better representative. He was awesome.
I met with Mike from Home Genius and ended up having them do my siding and gutters. He made sure I was comfortable with everything and the siding looks great! After that Emily and Kelsey helped with scheduling, then Mike the Project manger helped us during the install. I’m very happy with everything and would highly recommend them!
Mike was on time, actually earlier then his appointment time. Very professional and prepared and very informative. Me and my husband are so excited to see the project and when it is completed. I highly recommend this company! Great reasonable prices especially on which windows you would like. I had orders the garden window and I’m super excited to see it!!!
I had my roof repaired. They drop off materials and dumpster the day prior to installation. The installation took one day. I was given pictures from a drone to see what they had completed. They thoroughly cleaned up all the debris around the house. I would definitely recommend. All staff were very professional.
The guys did a wonderful job doing all the work they did. My gutters and facia look amazing. Considering my house had some extended water damage they did the work in great time and they did it right. After our home presentation my wife and I felt this company and their products were the way to go. Their pricing was fantastic and not astronomical like some of these other companies. Once again they did a helluva job. Thank you Home Genius!
Corey came by knocked on my door and asked to do a free no obligation estimate. He was friendly and informative. I agreed, they showed up promptly at 6pm. Hudson was extremely professional and informative. He gave a full detailed report about what issues I had. He showed me all the materials and went over all the details. I was very impressed. I didnt feel pressured at all. I didnt go ahead with the projects as of yet but still very impressed.
From start to finish. Home Genius Exteriors stayed true to their word about getting a job done in fashionable time. I presented what I was having trouble with, and the company communicated what was needed and executed the task. I am sprucing up the outside of my house and I needed new capped windows. They showed up at my request and completed the project within 2 days. In disbelief because I feel I have a lot of windows. lol However, this was not an issue for Home Genius Exteriors. This team was unbelievable from start to finish! Chris G. was my roof Expert and he explained everything thoroughly so I could understand. I was fully aware of all my options. I felt comfortable when making my decision to move forward with HGE. I bought the roof on Monday and 4 days later it was installed on Thursday. The installation took 1 day and by 5 pm no one could tell I had a crew working on my house that same day !! I would definitely recommend HGE to anyone looking for a hassle free remodeling project.
Our roof was done in March 2021. Everyone I worked with prior to install were so helpful and easy to work with. After the install, I had reached out because the workers left materials all over my yard (nails and belts of nails) where there was no effort to clean up. When it rained, now the water was basically falling and making huge puddles. This was not happening prior to the roof being done. When I put a 1 star review up the last time after they were unresponsive to my complaints, they called me for days until I finally answered the phone. We agreed that I would take down the review and we would work together to get some issues taken care of. Once the review came down, I never heard from them again. Hence why I am writing this a year later. I would not recommend this company to any of my close friends and family. It was a bad experience that I now continue to pay for.
The installation was quick and painless. The guys worked with great efficiency. They really knew their stuff. Watching the machine crank out the Gutters from flat sheet to formed pieces, that was really cool to watch. Totally recommendable to anyone!**SAWYER WEBER**This gentleman solidified this company in my mind. Once he took over our project everything went perfectly! Very knowledgeable, personable, easy to talk and relate to, and on top of his game. Sawyer called to confirm the day before, then he kept in contact upto the end of the job. Sam was really every resource we needed for our roof condition report. He was totally honest with his evaluation and was able to show condition as we have our house on the market for sale. Various options were discussed as a new owner might be interested in evaluating without making repair and or replacement options that aren’t required. He was a great representative of Home Genius “.
We were in search of new gutters for our newly purchased home. First time home buyers with no inspection (due to market of COVID). We were approached by Home Genius Exteriors and they sent out Gabe Livesey to give us a quote.Gabe was absolutely AMAZING! He was extremely professional, honest, transparent and personable. Not once during our quote did we feel rushed or pressured to use their services. He was extremely thorough, talking through each issue and how to go about making it better and pricing with competitors. He spent hours with us, going over everything, breaking down payment options that were stellar! Gabe was also very polite and understanding with our 2 kids (under age 8) and our 1 year old puppy were all running a muck the entire time.We did ultimately go with Home Genius Exteriors for our gutter replacements, not just because of the unbeatable prices and guarantees they have but more so because Gabe Livesey gave STELLAR service! HIGHLY recommend asking for Gabe when getting a quote.
Sam Collins came out at my request to provide an estimate to have some windows replaced. He was prompt & professional and very thorough. The quoted price was in line with the industry and I will follow up with Sam about the next steps. Highly recommend.
I am so overwhelmed with joy. They fixed the mistake of the last so called company that did my roof. The project manager came out and made sure we were aware of what was going on. The workers were on time, professional, and consistent throughout the whole project. When everything was done, the crew cleaned up and Scott showed me the before, during and after pictures of the roof. I would recommend them and call them for any other projects I will do in the future.
I got burned by a random roofer who damaged my roof more than it was already damaged. But everyone at Home Genius, including John, the project manager on-site, acted quickly and professionally to help me get my new roof and gutters installed. I cannot thank them enough, and now I need not worry about water damage for a long, LONG time. Dont get scammed, go with the professionals at Home Genius! Thank you guys so much!

Inquired about a simple inspection. These guys reached out and provided more than enough information and were able to save me a lot of money by chosing to some preventative maintenance work. I didnt realize how much the weather played a role on the gradual deterioration of my home. We worked with Sam for our roof inspection and he was absolutely amazing. Aside from the great customer service, we received detailed information on our project. This organization is thorough and takes pride in the work they do.
Home Genius was a pleasure to work with, from our first interaction to our last. They offered me a free estimate as they were working in the area that day. They took time to go into my attic and take pictures to show me the condition my roof was in, as well as take photos outside of areas I couldn’t even see that could lead to or already be causing issues. We honestly weren’t quite ready to get a new roof yet financially but due to the urgency and low monthly payments they offered we decided to get the project done before it got worse and ended up costing us more. Less than a week after signing the contract they were ready to start work.The installers were super friendly and clean, they tarped over all our mulch and lawn areas and left my home looking cleaner than they found it. They finished the roof in one day and afterwards our project manager,John, pushed around a giant magnet to ensure there was no nails. He showed us some excellent drone pictures of the new roof as well, he even texted them to me so I could have them as well. Can’t wait to show them off , these drone pictures are soo cool!I can’t recommend this company enough, even the scheduling and support staff I spoke to over the phone were friendly, helpful, and responsive!
I was very pleased with the attention from Sawyer during the job. The product was very good. I was very pleased with Kyle the HRE and Sawyer, the project manager. They were very professional. I was also very pleased with the crew! Highly recommended Home Genius to others.
Just bs from start to finish. Salesman pitch starts high pressure salestactics & then contacted someone in the office to allegedly see what can be done to lower price. Very expensive. One day of work becomes three days. The use of other materials coming from the last job is used on project. Although the materials that pay for gets confiscated after project that by the supervisor and no refund afford you the homeowner covering the cost. The dumpster company use for the project tore the driveway up and the company (Home Menaces Exteriors) claims that they would fix said issues, is now blaming the dumpster company that they hired with my funds. Im still getting flat tire on my vehicles from the so-called sweeping of the driveway for nails and screws that so happen to be cleared/cleaned of debris. I cannot recommend this company. This company is AMAZING i just want to thank amanda so much for all her help. She went well above and beyond to get me the financing i needed. I had at 20 people give me an estimate and all of them were way to high. Im a mom of 5 and money is kinda tight for me. Im am so thankful for HOME GENIUS.. I have had issues in the past couple of years with my 5,000 square foot 25 year old roof and knew that it was time to start shopping.My house is about 70 years old and I have had problems with leaking, ice dams, in-proper ventilation of the attic space, rotting of the decking etc. I had consulted with my handyman and he advised me to google reputable roofers in Philadelphia. I narrowed my search to three and received a couple of estimates from respected roofers but ultimately selected the estimate from Home Genius Exteriors. I am very happy with my decision. I dealt initially with Hunter. He was very thorough in his inspection of my roof both inside and out and pointed out a number of issues of concern beyond what I already was aware of. I was time sensitive because the leaks were damaging to my home. They sent out a crew within 2 weeks and completed the job in a single day! I am thrilled with my new roof, it looks incredible and I have no more leaks! Thank you to the whole Home Genius team!

We just worked with Casey and Home Genius to replace a LOT of rotten wood on the outside of our very old, very tall house. Casey and her team were amazing from start to finish.The work was reasonably priced and we were so happy with the attention to detail in the carpentry, the painting and even the clean up and punch list completion. The carpenters matched the previous historic work in both style and in paint color, and even recreated a few rotted ornaments on the gable peaks.Highly recommended!

The work on my neighbors house was beautiful. Mike Behan made sure to keep everything cleaned up after the job was done for my neighbor and my yard as well.
Changed my mind. The left trash on my neighbors yard, didnt give me a final walk through and still charged me full price. Lied about arrival times. Crew Chief got sick. I feel ripped of and led astray.

6 days of tearing out rotting fascia and soffits before covering hundreds of linear feet and then installing many linear feet of gutters and drain spouts from 35 feet at least. Well done and thanks!
I had my roof replaced with HGE and the process from beginning to end was great. Their coordinators are responsive both leading up to the day of service as well as during and after the installation. The work was done well, my new roof looks great and Im stoked about the 50-year warranty I got. I would recommend HGE to a friend if they were considering roof replacement.
Had the pleasure of meeting Hunter of your consulting staff tonight. I told him upfront that we were ONLY pricing a roof, and not really interested in a replacement at this time. He was nonetheless, informative, personable, professional, and in no way did he attempt to high-pressure me into a sale. He explained all my options and the pricing that went along with each tier of product and service. If I were actively seeking a new roof at this time, I would definitely consider using these guys.Seems like they have quality products...
I received a roofing estimate from Sam at Home Genius. He did a wonderful job giving a detailed inspection of our house and he provided many great solutions. He even even entertained my two young sons for over an hour! I would highly recommend Sam and home genius for anyone doing a remodeling project!

We hired Home Genius to replace a section of gutters and downspouts that weve been struggling with for years. Theyve been replaced twice before and never work correctly. Hunter recommended larger gutters/downspouts as well as gutter guards. It looks great and if this doesnt fix the problem I dont know what will. Jackson made sure the crew understood the details of exactly how it should be done. They may be a little pricier than other companies but it comes with a warranty and overall will definitely be cheaper than doing them a fourth time. A few things didnt go exactly as planned however Jackson kept us informed and the crew continued to come back until everything was just right. They are a very professional company and we are very satisfied with the result!
Mike came out, he was nice and efficient, very detail when explaining the process made us feel very comfortable with trusting the company with such a big project for our home! He was a gentleman that came out and spoke to us initially about what we were looking for when we finally decided that our roof needed to be repaired. Mike was very courteous and kind it almost felt like talking to one of my siblings when talking to him. My mother who is 88 and does not have a ton of money was really concerned about how much the cost was going to be. She also understood that the roof was over 50 years old and lasted as long as it did due to my father being more than capable of any repairs that were needed at the time. Now that he is no longer with us we have had to turn to more professional people to take care of the needs that the house requires given its age. When Mike went through all that Home Genius would do to repair The roof and the cost to complete the repairs and fully bring the roof back into code, we were a little taken back. But after doing some praying we decided that Home Genius was the way to go. On the end we are completely satisfied with the choice the Lord lead us to make. The crew that came out to do the work were kind and gentle very professional and attentive to our needs of when we had to come and go. Always looking out for us making sure that when we need to leave the home and return that there was a clear path of safe entering and exiting the home. The cleanup once completed was also amazing and timely. The gutter guys were great also and also cleaned up completely when they were done. Jackson whose last name I do not remember and Mike both checked on us making sure that we were completely satisfied at the end of each day. The job only took three days to totally complete which was fantastic considering the weatherAnd the timing of some of the supplies needed to complete the job. I had previously put up a negative review based on the initial work not meeting the expectations that were set up by the company. However, a company representative (Austin) got back to me in response to my negative review. He arranged for new contractors to come back to my house to survey what we were unhappy about; The company then sent new workmen to fix the work that did not meet our expectations. This new work was completed at no additional cost. I was really impressed by Home Geniuss commitment to good customer service and making good on what was initially promised.
We had to replace our roof earlier than anticipated because squirrels had set up housekeeping through an opening they had scratched out. Casey was lovely, gracious, accommodating and the most knowledgeable of the five company representatives I interviewed before deciding on a roofing company. She explained every step of the process. Casey was prepared with sample materials, including shingle samples to choose from. While other companies had to get back to me about price, Casey was able to calculate it during her interview, and Home Genius came in about in the middle cost wise. Emily, who was our project manager is equally lovely, helpful, responsible, always expeditious with responses to my questions. There were some weather delays, but otherwise everything moved along as promised. The men who took the old roof off and installed the new one were also of the highest quality - respectful, hard workers who did a great job. The new roof is beautiful - the envy of the neighborhood. These young women and men are among the generation who are going to be the leaders who make our world a better place. What a privilege it is to have been able to work with them!

Materials and dumpster arrived on Wednesday for a Thursday & Friday installation. Due to a Friday rain forecast, work was postponed till Saturday & Sunday. Crew of several installers arrived early Saturday and completed work in one day, even cleaning siding where they had placed ladders. Gutter installation crew arrived Monday and were done within an hour. Dumpster was removed on Tuesday. Project manager came to inspect work and the cleanup. The roof looks great and rainwater flows well from gutters and leaders. Excellent work.
Our experience with Home Genius Exteriors was great. Sam Collins was our salesman. He was professional and knowledgeable. John Reese was our project manager. He was always available for our concerns and questions. He stopped by several times to make sure the team was getting the job done. When the job was finished we had several days of heavy rain and no roof problems. The day John came out to do the final inspection there was one area on the roof that I was unhappy with the way it was finished. John was out there the next day and fixed the problem. We are very happy with the final result.

I never bother to write negative reviews, but here we are. I cant believe anyone would hire these people to do literally anything. My husband set up a time for them to come by to deliver a quote for our roof replacement, thinking it would last at most, an hour. We had just moved the previous day and all of our belongings were in boxes, so we had an agenda for that day that did not account for *over 2 hours* of a sales pitch.A man and a woman came in, sat down at our kitchen table, and asked us several personal questions that ranged from how did you two meet? to several variations of what made you choose this house? These questions were obviously mining for information they could use to bring up later in their sales pitch, which they launched with an actual *powerpoint presentation* that never ended. They also spent a significant amount of time telling us how great our home was. They looked at the roof and snapped a million photos of our attic to emphasize that the work needed to be done.We knew we needed a new roof, but they acted as if we didnt know that and said things designed to both scare us and make us believe that every other roofer in existence was a scam artist. Saying things like You wouldnt hire people from Craigslist to do this job, would you? to make us feel like we really needed to hire someone competent, and only *they* would fit that bill. At several points they would step out of our house (clearly to go smoke because, fun fact, they also reeked of cigarettes) under the guise of running numbers or checking with their supervisors, but designed to keep themselves in our house for as long as possible.At one point, I told them we needed to wrap up in 5 minutes and then another 25+ minutes went by. Incredibly disrespectful to customers time.Every word they said was clearly 100% scripted and absolutely lacked authenticity. I dont know who their tactics work on, but my bet is thats a dwindling customer base. At the end, they gave us an astronomical price and then said it could be lowered if we signed that day, which is a completely unprofessional tactic. By the end of it, we joked that we *were* considering hiring people off Craiglist, because wed rather do that than give these people a dime. Stay away. And check the Yelp reviews...
Chris was in the neighborhood and stopped by, noticed my gutters were in need of repair. Mike came out on time and actually returned because I was late. He explained everything thoroughly and checked to make sure that I understood everything. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I am scheduled for installation.
We met with Mike and Mike (haha) and they were so very helpful and informative. My husband and I have a lot to consider with our personal life right now so we did not go through with them just yet. However, when we are ready to go through with putting on a new roof, we know that they will be top of our list. They are very thorough and made sure we understood everything that they bring to the table. Overall we were very pleased to meet with such a professional and reputable company.

All I wanted was a roof estimate. Appointment was supposed to be 90 minutes, but after 2 hours the guy still hadnt shown us materials or any sort of estimate. He was mad when we told him we had to get back to work (it was a Tuesday at 11:30am...) He left at this time since my husband had a meeting to attend...and literally CAME BACK to my door and reluctantly agreed to give a presentation to just me. He insisted I should go interrupt my husbands meeting to ask him to make a decision. I explained we wouldnt be making a decision either way that day and he actually argued that my husband felt differently. This company has very distasteful sales tactics to try and scare you into signing a contract on the spot and seems very desperate. Appointment lasted 3 hours, even after being guaranteed the appointment wouldnt go over 90 minutes. Definitely dont recommend.
Pros: Sales Representative Casey Stasenko was excellent and our finished product looks great. HG is fully insured, only requires 10% down and offers financing.Cons: Project managers need to work on client communicationNeutral: We received pricing from three groups and Home Genius was in the middle.Sales Rep Casey was excellent, thorough, and took so much time inspecting the exterior, interior, took pictures, and walked us through the whole process in depth. The team that put the roof on worked quickly and finished in a day. No leaks yet!Unfortunately the project management and coordination team did not contact us (called the wrong number and only left a message) to confirm a start date and the roofers showed up unexpectedly one morning and did cause some damage to outside plants, decor, and furniture due to rushing to accommodate them. The project manager for the day was stretched too thin and had to go to another site so we did not have anyone to contact for the duration of the roofing project.I would recommend vocal confirmation in the future to confirm appointments and make sure that the onsite project manager contacts the home owners on the day of to run through the project and keep them updated. The expectation set by Casey was very high and that level of attention to detail was not met for the actual project.Overall the roof still looks great and we have not had any issues yet.

I was contacted by Home Genius after placing an inquiry for a roof replacement quote on Angies List. I had a few other well reputed, local roofing companies give me quotes as well, a few of which had inspected my roof before my appointment with Home Genius, so I already had an idea of what my project would cost and require. I dont want to call out the salesperson by name because its clear he was doing what he had been trained to do, but it was extremely off-putting to request a quote for a roof replacement and instead get hard sold on buying a roof THAT DAY.The meeting was supposed to last 90 minutes, which alone was about an hour longer than any of the other contractors needed to inspect the condition of my roof and give me an accurate estimate. I soon realized why after the salesperson showed up - he had an entire slideshow presentation about the company rife with scare tactics about how other contractors have high complaint rates and dissatisfaction scores. Before he had even looked at the condition of our roof he was asking us to pick out shingle colors. He finally got around to looking at the roof, after which he came inside and launched into another 1 hour+ presentation about the roofing material used by Home Genius.Finally, he said he was going to run the numbers for an estimate, which took another 20 minutes of him sitting at my kitchen table. I thought it was odd that he decided to stay for the estimate instead of sending an email later, but soon I realized why - it seems this companys entire business model is quoting laughably high estimates for projects and then using classic sales techniques to scare prospective clients into signing on the dotted line.I was told that my project, which multiple other well-reputed contractors had quoted around 18 - 20k, would cost 46k if done by Home Genius. But wait! If you sign today and go under contract, that cost would drop to 41k. After getting quoted, I told the salesperson that we would not be making a decision today and needed to compare all our estimates. He then stayed for another hour using every sales technique he could muster to try to get me to sign - dropping the price even further (but still preposterously high at 36k) if we did a foot-in-the-door program, employing scare tactics about the quality of work we would have if we went with another company (which in of itself is sleazy - if part of your business model is maligning other companies of which you know nothing about, you should fix your business model), and asking to CALL UP the other companies I had come out for estimates to ask them - well, Im not really sure what he wanted to ask them, but for some reason he thought it would help him make a sale. After what was probably the 15th time that I had told him I wasnt making a decision today, he left. The 90 minute meeting had turned into four hours and ate up the most productive hours of the day.Im sure their quality of work is just fine. But even with their lowest price I could have paid for my project two times over. Combine that with their distasteful sales tactics and lack of respect for their prospective clients time and in no way would I recommend anyone contacting this company for even an estimate.
Someone came by asking if we wanted a free estimate on exterior work, so I agreed to get someone to come look at my roof. Someone called, scheduled the appointment, and the next day, Marcus Bearfield came by. I always get three estimates for all work, and I will do the same for the roof, so I dont know yet how their pricing compares. But I wanted to let Home Genius know what a great person they have working for them. I only leave reviews when I am thoroughly impressed, and thats pretty rare for me, as it is for most people. I was impressed by Marcus. Forget what you think about young people today. Marcus is hardworking, bright, courteous, professional and just a really nice guy. He is going to go far in his professional endeavors. Overall, he provided me with an education about roofs, which is something most people replace maybe once in their home ownership, so most people dont know anything about it, what to look for, when to replace, and how standards have changed over time. I usually would not dedicate as much time as I did with Marcus, but he was very thorough and patient. I hope he does well, as I am sure it will be because he earned it and deserves it.
Sam was wonderful he took his time in telling me about the business and he was very elaborate showing me the right way to do a roofing project. I am confident Sam and his company really care about the people they work with and doing right by their customers. I would highly recommend Sam and his Home Genius to anyone doing a remodeling project!
All we wanted was a quote for a roof replacement. We were told it was going to take 90 minutes, so I figured that was the most time it would take. The salesman was 30 minutes late and we had another appointment 2 hours later. No problem, we thought. Still plenty of time. Salesman was personable and informative. Too informative. We didn’t need to “be educated” on the company or on roof technology. But he carried on. Then he went outside for measurements and in the attic. He was really just taking pictures that he used to try to scare us into making a snap decision on hiring him without ever even getting a quote. He went out to his car for about 20 minutes to “work up some numbers”. We never got the numbers. After 1.75 hours I told him I had another appointment in a few minutes. His attitude and demeanor totally changed. He accused me of rushing him and throwing him out, which is what we ended up doing after going back and forth. I’ve lived here for 28 years and have never had to throw someone out of my house before. And we never got a quote.This was the most bizarre, uncomfortable and unprofessional encounter I’ve ever had with a service person. I wouldn’t let them do the roof for free at this point. Beware and stay away!

We hired Home Genius to paint our house this fall. Andrew was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous, and very responsive to all of our questions and inquiries. They used high-end paint, where very meticulous with the painting, and very responsive in touching up or fixing any areas they painted to make sure we were completely satisfied. Overall it was very professionally done, and despite having to work around several rainy days, the Home Genius crew completed the job in a very timely manner. Best of all, the price was very competitive compared to our other estimates. We are extremely satisfied with the result!
I had an appointment with Mike, he arrived on time, greeted us with a smile as he introduced himself and explained the process from beginning to end. He provided samples of all materials used to the persons who order and who would be in charge of the work site to financing. the project. He gave a fantastic presentation and explained everything in great detail.
Update read until the end……..This was a very unprofessional experience for me and my husbandA dump was dropped off at my house on a Monday along with all materials for the job.The crew was suppose to arrive on Tuesday by 10am, did show up to after 3:00pm.The crew bought a dog to home and used my trash can to tie it up in my backyard. My son has allergies and the crew never removed the dog the off of my property.There was nothing put down to protect my belongings in the backyard while doing my roof.The crew was disrespectful arguing with my neighbors. Finally the manager says I’m not working here, everyone clean up.I called a few times to speak with the CEONever called me back. The property manager was the only one I was forced to talk with. Just some of the things I had to deal with. This is one company I won’t recommend to anyone to useYou can look us up with the name Chris Ridley. We dealt with the Philadelphia office. Maybe we will get to speak with the CEO. When you are paying top dollar for a service and you feel your getting put on the back burner that’s a problem.6/23/21After all the trouble my husband and I had experience, the CEO did take the time to sit down with us. He listened to our concerns. He informed us the crew(we had problems with)no longer has a contract with Home Genius Exteriors. He did his best to accommodate us for our troubles. Needed gutters replaced due to age. They also replaced the fascia underneath for a 2 story house. Mike provided the estimate and was very professional. There was a lot of work to be done and it took longer than originally estimated which was ok because of the amount of rotted wood underneath and Id rather have Miguel do it right. Austin and Grant provided the project management and I appreciated their energy and friendliness.
Marcus came out to my home to give an estimate for a complete new roof on our home. Marcus was not only extremely professional but very easy going. I could also tell that he was an expert 100%. He helped me to learn more about my home than I knew before he came. Unfortunately, just because of the price of Home Genius, we weren’t able to go with them, but because of Marcus I really wish we could have. Not only a great expert but very friendly guy.

His recommendation to me was to not get the roof done, save as much as i could and enjoy my retirement. Do not give these people you number or allow them to come to your home for an estimate. They will claim to own knowledge of the roofing trade that no one else is aware of and overcharge. On the estimate… so just imagine how much they’ll ask for after work has started. They will point out insignificant imperfections in your roof and claim your roof will fall down if it’s not fixed. Don’t Easter your time and money.

Highly recommend if you want to know your options for exterior work! Casey was recommended by our realtor for some exterior issues we were having. She came the very next day, carefully evaluated the work that needed to be done, and asked about our goals so she could give recommend us the right home improvement. She then presented us with a variety of options, discussing the pros and cons of each. The turnaround time for a quote was very efficient (1 day), unlike other companies that take days to get back to you.
UPDATE: Less than a year later we had a leak in a different spot in our roof that was not leaking prior to getting the new roof. We contacted the company late July, but had to go through multiple rounds of trying to get ahold of someone to put us on the schedule for them to finally come out to fix it under our warranty at the beginning of September. It rained that day after they left, and the roof was still leaking. We have been trying to get someone to come out and we have been continually told someone would be out and no one shows up. We have a bucket full of water in our bathroom from the leak, who knows what is even in the walls/ceiling. This is a completely unacceptable way to treat paying customers who have spent thousands of dollars on a new roof.Home Genius Exteriors was great to work with! We had significant water leaks on our roof and a window. Casey Stasenko came out to do our initial assessment was very thorough in giving us an appraisal of the condition of the roof and with giving us all of our options for replacing it. We never felt like she was trying to sell us something we didnt need. The workers for both the roof and window were also great; they were very efficient even with a delay in getting materials to the site. We havent had any problems since getting it replaced, and from what we can see, it looks great!
My experience started with Marcus Bearfield when he came out and did the free estimate. He took the time to explain everything and showed me and my mom the pictures and answered all our questions. Then I worked with Emily. I thought I was being a pain in the butt but Emily assured me I wasn’t and answered all my questions because I have a need to know everything that’s going on. If something went off schedule I let her know and it wasn’t a problem. Emily handled it and responded the same day. Now the project manager John Reese. He came out the day of installation introduced himself and explained that more of the roof base layer had to be ordered and how many pieces were needed to complete the job. He also gave his card and said he’ll be back to do a walk thru when the job was completed. He came back the day after the job was completed explained the walk thru and also explained what we would notice with the slates and what needed to happen for them to fall in place. He answered all the other questions I had. I had great customer service. On the same level as Chik Fil A

I was contacted by a salesman for Home Genius about having my siding painted. The timing was perfect as I was shopping to have this type of work done. I met with him and he told me about how the company was focused on customer satisfaction and wanted long-term relationships for all their products and services. He gave me a quote and after reviewing the terms I agreed. On March 26, 2019 I had my house siding painted. Two weeks later some minor bubbling and peeling occurred on one side.It is now August 1st. It has been over four months and numerous contacts on my part and the result is that Home Genius does NOT care about me as a customer at all. They have blown me off and NOT completed the job they were contracted to do. I am left with a damaged paint job and no recourse except to find someone else to finish it and recoup my expense through the court system. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.Update: Home Genius (specifically Shane) contacted me after this review, came out and re-evaluated, and scheduled the warranty maintenance. Shane and Kenny completed that warranty work this week and the peeling and bubbles are resolved.

We had Home Genius Exteriors in for an interior painting job (master bedroom/bathroom and 2 accent walls) at our home recently and everything went amazingly well. I went on Angi to find local contractors to come look at my gutters thinking they would give me a list that I could reach out to. Turns out, they gave my information to the contractors and these guys have decided that theyre going to incessantly call me all week. They have called 17 times in 4 days. Even if they do good work, this is insane and Im definitely not doing business with them.
We had our old Victorian painted . Had quotes from various companies and by far Andy from home genius beat them all. The crew with Kia and Bill and co workers were phenomenal. They were meticulous and very professional. Our job was very difficult with high pitches and tough angles . they made it look effortless and not a drop of paint outside the painting area . I had the most bizarre experience with this company...I filled out the form on the website to get an estimate. The next day, they called me 4 times between 8:30 - 9 a.m. while I was at a doctor for my daughter. They proceeded to call and text (8 times) a couple days after. While I was completely turned off by the desperation, I had a chance to call them back. When they found out that my entire home wasnt all siding (only the back), they told me that they couldnt help me. Then proceeded to ask me if I needed them to come out and check my roof or my gutters.
Casey is amazing and totally sold me on my new roof. She covered all bases with her knowledge of each aspect of the job and really made me feel at ease. The crew worked quickly and got the job done over two days. Minor cosmetic concerns were promptly dealt with. All in all I can’t really complain and they will see more business from me in the future!

I had a horrible experience with Home Genius. I wish I could write about the quality of their work. I never got to that point. I reached out to them in early October to get a quote for a roof replacement. I booked an appointment online and got a confirmation. I left work early in order to be home for the estimate. The person never came. I called an hour after they were set to arrive. They apologized and set up an appointment a few days later for a new person. That person did come and they were very professional. A friend recommended them and the price was reasonable, so I signed up for financing with them and the job. I was told someone would contact me to schedule the work.A few weeks pass and I call them back saying I had not heard from anyone. They apologized and said that I would get a call from the scheduler. That person called me November 18, 2019 not to schedule the job, but to tell me that Home Genius no longer replacing roofs but doing this silicone bulldog coating instead. He said they had gotten too many complaints around workmanship and that the product they had been using was faulty. So they could do this coating instead. I asked about the cost and if the price would be discounted as it was a roof coating instead of a new roof. He said it would not be discounted but done for the price of the roof replacement. I asked to be sent more information about the bulldog coating so that I could review things before making a decision. He sent me an email shortly after yet never replied to my further inquiries by email or phone.I was referred to Home Genius by a friend who was also having a roof replaced. He said he got the same call however, the same scheduler called him too. His new excuse was that their schedule was simply too packed and they did not have time to replace his roof but would do the coating instead. And the scheduler said they would lower the price.After I heard this, I decided to get more estimates from other roofers and ultimately went with someone else after looking at their reviews, Better Business Bureau rating, and comparing their work with other companies. I am happy with my roofer who is very attentive and immediately came out to address an issue that cropped up after my new roof was installed. This took a lot of time and caused me a lot of anxiety and aggravation. I am very displeased with my experience with Home Genius and have encouraged my friends and other homeowners in a facebook group that I am a part of not to deal with Home Genius.This was for work in Philadelphia in the fall of 2019. Perhaps this issue is unique to their Philadelphia branch.
Great job! We had two French doors replaced with sliders. The workers were thorough, cleaned up as they went along and hard workers. The price was the most competitive. Casey Stasenko is our Rep and she went the extra mile to help us figure out multiple jobs at once. She’s very knowledgeable and willing to work hard at helping her customers. Although I had initially submitted a negative review, after speaking with owner and then choosing them from several bids to do several repair jobs, I have to say my husband and I are more than pleased with Home Genius Exteriors. They respond ALWAYS...which is a rarity when trying to find contractors; their prices were the best and the work to date has been incredible. Even when one project turned out to be more work than what was expected, they kept to same price and did not charge more. Very professional and show true respect for client. I highly recommend.
I hired Home Genius Exteriors to replace my roof this winter. Throughout the process, Austin and his team were on time, insightful, and listened to my needs. He gave me a discount for referring my neighbor who is also working with Home Genius! This made their competitive price even better. Home Genius kept a constant line of communication throughout the entire process. The contract and scope of work outlined was extremely detailed and they did what they said they would do. The night before they came to install the roof, Austin parked his vehicle in front of my house to reserve a spot on my busy street for a dumpster, just to make sure the installation could occur with no delays. I would refer Home Genius Exteriors and Austin to any of my neighbors in the future.

Having utilised home genius in the past for a fairly complex roofing project, but I discovered that they did decks I jumped at the opportunity to use them again. Granted, this happened during the pandemic so some delays were expected at the outset. And our salesman Sam informed us of that from the get go. We had a little bit of trouble hammering down what colours we wanted come up that was more on the tracks website come a sense it was not really Put together in a user friendly manner. But once the work began replacing the falling apart parts of our old deck it went rather well. John Reese kept us appraised of what was going on every step of the way, and Frank Teti, the contractor Home Genius used, has proven to be both skillful and able/willing to explain the process to me. I continue to recommend Home Genius to my friends/family for all exterior work. Thank you, John, for working with us on this.
Do not use Home Genius Exteriors. I amstill waiting for two windows to be installed since May 2020. Disorganized and nobody returns your call. Much better companies out there with more experience and better service. I would like my money returned to me at this point. Unfortunately they will not return my deposit.
Home exteriors put a new roof and gutters on my home. I was very pleased with their work; they were on time, used quality products, did the job quickly and the roof looks great! Casey Stasenko was great at setting it all up and following through on everything. I definitely recommend this company.
Overall Marcus was very informative, friendly, knowledgeable, and just a good guy. He was pleasant to talk to from beginning to end and helped me to better understand the needs of my home and my gutter system. We had the exterior of our home painted, something it needed badly. There was considerable peeling of wood trim. Hunter was the company rep that came, looked everything over and gave us a very fair estimate of what it would cost. After getting his estimate, I checked around. His price was really good. The workers did a great job...showed up when they said they would, and our house looks fabulous! Thanks to Hunter and Home Genius!
I did not commit today for the service primarily because Im waiting for 2 more estimates. However, Ive learned more about roofing than I could ever imagine. Marcus was very thorough and easy to talk to.He exemplified true customer service and represented your company very well.

We did not have work done from this company but Austin and Sam are very professional and thorough. They showed up on time for their appointments and explained the whole scope of the job and they were so pleasant to work with that I wanted to leave them a review for being so easy to deal with.
After shopping for gutters over a few months and receiving quotes from a handful of local gutters, i felt Genius had the best price and the quickest to schedule me..HOWEVER, that always comes with a price and i certainly paid it.PROS; home genius rep was very nice and so was the scheduler/payment collector. quality of the gutters look good, 6in k gutters with 6in downspouts. they certainly upgraded the look of the house. the larger gutter promotes better flow and hopefully avoiding clogging. I did not get the guards as i thought they were over price at $40 a foot. I ended up buying the guards myself from lowes which I paid $3 a foot.CONS: home genius does NOT do the install, they never visit the project after the sale is made, this work was sub out to a third party gutter company. This third party company, no one spoke English, I couldnt communicate with them, they were unpleasant to deal with and smoking on my property as they installed the gutters. additionally, they did not clean up the site. my driveaway was full of screws and nails - there was also screws left on the roof from the gutters. they came back after i complained - - a few guys showed up around 6pm 5 days later, walked into my backyard without knocking on the door to blow off the roof which they blew off the roof so more screws were in the driveway and they left. they also had to come back a third time to install the extenders (this took two trips)... moral of it, if you want a decent gutter with poor customer services and are willing to clean up your property after they leave then go with these guys. I feel bad to write this as the sale reps & payment collector Ive been dealing with was very nice and professional. however the sub company that did the install was AWFUL. I would only recommend this company if home genius is doing the install, not this third party. highly suggest asking who will be doing the install!I am giving this 3 stars, which would be lower if it wasnt for the home genius employee who stayed on top of the guys coming back several times to attempt to make it right... but again the third party installers lack of care, its still wrong. there are still screws on my roof/grass etc. I ended up paying the outstanding balance to put this behind me as its no longer worth my time or the hassle.
Mike and Rose arrived on time for the appointment. They were very helpful in all aspects. A good inspection was done and products were present and explained.
Our sales rep, Casey Stasenko, was helpful in guiding our decision about new casement windows appropriate for resale in a couple years. No pressure to immediately commit or price would go up (common high pressure sales technique). Instead, price would hold until the new year began. She allowed me to view other online options during our meeting to compare HGE price as a baseline bc/ we needed custom sized windows. Great value and quality. Installation was flawless and did not damage the woodwork. I planned to repaint the window seals but would not have had to do this if I didnt desire to do so. Windows look great! Great crew from initial staff canvasing our neighborhood to the final installer.

We are experiencing a leak in our roof, so we reached out to Casey, who came highly recommended from our realtor and his company. Casey was friendly, professional and very responsive; within an hour she got back to us and scheduled a time to check out our leak. After assessing, she provided us with an overview of what should be done and crunched the numbers to give us an estimate. Because the work that we need done is relatively small, she actually recommended going with a private contractor because it would save us a lot of money. She was then able to connect us with someone else that handles smaller jobs. The fact that she chose to miss out on business so that we can fix our problem at a more reasonable price speaks volumes about her character; if she treated us this way, I can only imagine how great she must be with her paying clients. I hope we’ll get to work with Casey and her company in the future!

Stay far away fromHome Genius Exteriors. Disorganized and not very knowledgeable Casey came to my home, did not know much about roofs. During our conversation learned that they are a painting company trying to be a home remodeling company. She could not give me an install date and had an attitude when my wife try to ask questions. They do not use GAF roof although there web site says different.
This morning, Jacob DePaul came to my house for inspecting my roof set up last Friday. He arrived at my house promptly on 10 am. After a nice presentation about Home Genius Exteriors, Jacob DePaul had noAny hesitation for going into my attic and my roof to give quite professional inspection on multiple leaking suspicious spots. I was impressed and pleased by Jacob’s professionalism at his only Twenty.

Same ninety minute appointment nonsense with spouse present to high pressure you into signing an overly priced contract for windows. Their rep actually said this would be a life altering experience. Lowes measured for ten minutes the five windows to be replaced and emailed the estimate for Pella windows the next day. Judge for yourself.

Andrew Kott made this easy. I want to start with that, because its important to note. My project was a little more complicated than most roofing projects. We have solar panels that we inherited when we bought the house. and, to be honest, we were dreading getting the roof done because of them. Most places were quoting us $20,000 or more to do the job, becasue of the panels. But, Andrew stepped up in a big way. Im told this was his first roofing job with solar panels involved, but he never backed down or shirked. He looked into the process of removing/reinstalling them. We discovered the company that originally put them up no longer exists. Andrew did not let that stop him. He did the legwork and found a company that would do the whole thing, for a reasonable cost. Then he came out the day of the work to make sure everything went well.And boy did it go well! The crew was did all the work in about six and a half hours, and my new roof looks great. and, more importantly, i no longer have any leaks when we get rain or snow melt, and the panels are going back up in a day or so. And i didnt have to take out a loan or, sell a kidney to afford the work. If you are looking to get roofing, paunting, or other exterior work done, i would definitely go with Home Genius Exteriors, and ask for Andrew Kott!

2022-08-13I learned about Home Genius Exteriors through door-to-door canvassing in my neighborhood. I had been thinking about installing a new roof and was interested in in getting some estimates. The sales agents were very professional and helpful in scheduling a consultation.Sam was very nice and professional. He walked me through the process of assessing the needs for my roof and was very knowledgeable. He did a great job explaining the roofing system they used and that they are an Owens-Corning certified installer. The financing options were very reasonable and I was able to get approved instantly and got my installation scheduled right away.The company kept me informed of the entire process and scheduling. Emily and Kelsey emailed at every step of the way.My project manager, Mike, kept in contact with me to make sure the work was proceeding in a satisfactory manner. I did have some concerns about the clean-up but Mike personally came out to make sure it was completed to my satisfaction. The quality of the work and the efficiency of the entire process was absolutely fantastic. The overall experience was wonderful and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for exterior work/repairs for their home

2022-04-22Brian Butler came out for the initial visit and estimate. He was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable & answered all my questions. Brian also showed me samples of the materials to be used and their function.Sawyer was a great project manager. He was also very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and responsive. Sawyer kept me informed every step of the way. Sawyer was also very patient with all my questions. Any issues were addressed promptly. Although the cost of the project was quite expensive; I am hoping the quality of materials and workmanship will pay for itself over time. The entire crew was also courteous and respectful. Sabrina in scheduling was great too. I would also like to thank Austin for resolving some miscommunicarions before the job started. I would recommend Home Genius anyone looking to replace their roof. 2022-06-09Everyone from Brian who did out initial evaluation and helping with financing, John who guided us through the installation, to Scott who took his valuable to come out and pick up the extra material left and answer our questions was AWESOME! We feel safe under our new roof and with the amazing service were assured well continue to get even 25-50 years after install.There was a bit of a gaff bout the timing of when exactly the gutters themselves would be installed and were currently in the works of finding out what happened to the ventilation in one of our bathrooms, but considering how responsive and kind Kathy has been Im sure everything will be settled right and quickly~Thanks Genius Exteriors!

Sawyer the project manager came out to make sure the job was done right before I made a payment. He was very professional and friendly. Nice work by the installers. 2022-04-13Gabriel gave an excellent presentation and helped with completion of all the paperwork making the entire experience worry free. Sabrina was very helpful with the scheduling and was very pleasant to talk with. On the day of project, Sawyer, the project manager, was there to make sure everything was done correctly and to my satisfaction. The work crew were on time and finished the job and cleaned all the debris out of the grass and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend the company for any exterior work you need.

2022-06-12Kyle and Jackson came out to provide an estimate to have my roof replace. I was inform the process will take up to 90 minutes. Kyle and Jackson end staying for 5 hours . Explaining the process and the materials that will require to get the roof done. Theyre professionalism is exceptional. They were very thorough with their inspection of the roof. Ill definitely will be using home genius exteriors to replace my roof, when Im ready..

2022-09-08Home Genius replaced 12 windows in our home. We had several estimates and home genius was the only company who could install our windows in less than 3 months. It only took 5 weeks to get the custom windows and they installed them a week later.Beyond that what really convinced me to use their windows was the lifetime glass breakage warranty. 3 of our windows had cracked glass and it’s great to know that is covered for life with these new windows.I would give them 10 stars if I could, the installers were professional, clean, and courteous of my home and belongings.

2022-07-20Home Genius replaced our roof in 2020. Prior to signing the contract, I asked the estimator if the fact that we had gutter guards would pose a problem. His answer was simply no. When the work was about 50% completed, we received a change order increasing the expense by thousands of dollars, the explanation being that the original estimate was based on a measurement 500 square feet short of the actual roof size. While we ultimately settled the issue with Home Genius absorbing some of the additional expenses, we had to pay $2K more in plywood sheets than I had originally estimated would be our cost under the original contract. We recently discovered that the gutter guards on the third floor were damaged to the point that birds could enter them and build up nesting material that clogged the gutters far in excess of what would have happened had there been no guards. The guards were damaged to the point that they were no longer usable. We spent well over a thousand dollars to pay for the removal of the guards, installation of fascia that wasnt put in by Home Genius behind the affected gutters and installion of drip lines to make up for the fact the shingles didnt extend far enough over the roof to get rainwater into the gutters when the guards were removed. The guards themselves were both expensive and effective up until the roof was replaced. I called Home Genius to see about having the nails removed where the guards had been nailed to the roof, so that the guards could then be removed (the company that installed them doesnt do roofing work). I heard nothing after speaking with a company representative and then had to find found a responsive company. Home Genius finally responded to a letter I sent it three weeks previously outlining the initial estimate that was superseded when the company removing the guards discovered the work was more comprehensive than first assumed. Home Genius said that since the contract made no mention of gutter work, it had no responsibility. Since the existence of the gutter guards was dismissed initially as no problem, I didnt expect to see it mentioned in the contract. I will not use Home Genius again.

2022-03-24Excellent customer service, courteous, honest, and knowledgeable. Arianna was extremely kind and helpful in setting up my appointment. Mike showed up right on time, followed all Covid protocols I requested on my home visit, and gave me an honest assessment of my situation. I ultimately did not end up using their service for my home project due to personal matters as I am looking to move in the near future and this project didn’t fit into my timeline. However Mike still walked me through every step and even guided me toward a solution that would be helpful in the short term. Overall very trustworthy people running this home repair business. I saved all their contact details and expect to work with them in my next home soon!
