I didnt want to move out, I had to move out.I really liked the apartment layout. It was really nice. If I had charged the mice and the huge roaches I found in this place I wanted to call home, perhaps I could have gotten my central air fixed.Roaches: The complex did send out an exterminator, but with a complex this big, its next to impossible to eradicate them.Mice: Expect to see them coming in from the cold and preping for fall. I had bags of sunflower seed and crutons on my baking shelves the mice ate through. I had to keep everything in rubbermaid containers.Centrail Air: I almost suffered from heat stroke because of the warm air coming from the AC. After I had to buy a $300 portable air conditioner, I looked around the complex and noticed all of the window fans and window AC units. Too hot to have your windows open.Price: The price may seem ok, but renter beware.
The Good: The area is actually pretty decent. I have had no issues (at least within managements control) with anyone or anything around here. Apartments are nice sized with plenty of room at least for my preferences. Grounds are kept pretty decent with regular trash and lawn services. The Meh: While not in managements control mail and food delivery can be a pain since it can be hard for apartments to be found. The Bad: Management is terrible. Communication is horrible. Emails go unanswered. Maintenance is hit or miss. I have had issues taken care of quickly then others like my AC having issues that took months to get resolved since they would work on it then leave and not come back until I called again and again. I literally had to threaten to get an outside company to come in and fix my issue and take it out of rent to get the issue fixed. I still have water damage from fixed issues from a year and a half ago that havent been fixed. I have mold and water damage that has been ignored from the AC issue that is now 6 months old. Since I had so many issues I wanted someone from management to contact me and was told they never would. I was told they would never call, text, email, or even come by my apartment and they have yet to to this day. The water bill is astronomical. I am a single person in my apartment and I am getting hit with a $70+ bill a month. There is no way I use that much or even half that much. Electric and Gas are a bit high but at least that is more towards my uses and not on them. When maintenance does fix something in the utility closet they toss their trash on the ground in there and leave it. I have some of their garbage in there since before move in more than 18 months ago.Final: If you have no issues with your apartment that need management and maintenance to get involved you will probably have a great time here. If there are issues and you need to contact them then you might have a bad time.
Let me start off by saying that I regret everything about moving into this place. After reading the initial reviews, I knew I should have went with my first instinct. I have only been in my apt for a few days and things couldnt be any worse than they already are. Prior to signing a lease, I was given a particular move in date only to be told by management that they needed more time due to some carpet issue which some bs. For these people to be professionals youre telling me that they got the measurements wrong on an apt they carpet daily?! Anyways, I received my keys almost a week after move in date. The day actually picked up the keys, I was coming in to void the lease. After some rational thinking, I told myself to calm down and just take the apt since I was already in a total jam and had to be out of the previous place I was previously living in. My leasing agent tried to talk to management to see what could be done to accommodate me since I had to kick out extra money for a hotel. Not to mention, the day I actually got my keys, I was told a specific time for move in only for that not to happen. My furniture arrived but got turned away because the carpet didnt get installed until late afternoon. So now I have nothing to sleep on until the furniture come in a few days. Back to management...I overheard management being very rude and disrespectful as I sat outside the office. For me to be a new resident, you would think they would try to do something to save and satisfy their residents. I never witnessed anything so rude and unprofessional. Just straight ghetto in my opinion. Ive heard about the managers before but honestly I never imagined it to be this bad. I give it to the leasing agents though, mine particularly because even though this all occurred, my agent remained very professional while encountering how frustrated I was during this whole process. To witness how disrespectful a manager can be to their employees especially at a time like this. Even though I decided to live here, Im glad I dont have to work there. Who ever their boss boss is, definitely need to retrain their management team. It will definitely make a difference.
I’ve been here for 3 months with my family. Chardae our lease consultant was very nice and knowledgeable about the apartments. She showed us great places to choose from broke everything down for us so we could make the best decision. When we ran into an obstacle & needed to move in 3 days sooner she made sure our apartment was ready; she even stayed up until 1130pm until we finally got there so we can sign our lease in move in! She went above & beyond it was very much appreciated! She made our application process a breeze. Overall we enjoy our living space and the neighbors are a pleasure. Area is quite, close to a shopping center. So far so good!
This place is horrible maintenance service. If. You call nobody shows up lawn care sucks for the amount money ppl pay. This new ppl who take over korman suites all they care about his taking ppl money. I advise nobody to come here. They need to sell this place to ppl who care about the ppl.
I have been living here for at least 3 months and I love my apartment. Hailey went above and beyond to assist me with everything I needed to ensure that I felt at home prior to me moving in and currently while I am a resident. She was very prompt when providing me updates about my apartment and continues to do so while I am a current resident. If I have any issues she ensures that they are taken care of. Ask for Hailey when looking to lease.
Former Employee.. WOULDNT RECOMMEND LEASING FROM THIS PROPERTY!Every tenant I moved in since June had an issue with the apartment they were promised. The owners care nothing about the property, the tenants, or employees. They are only concerned in taking money with no urgency to fix problems. The job was so frustrating and disappointing that a week or so before leaving I mentally checked out. I woke up one day and just decided not to be stressed anymore, that was my last day.
As of today, it has been 386 DAYS and COUNTING, since my A/C worked...Maintenance request after maintenance request, daily calls to emergency maintenance... and NOTHING.The first broken central-A/C unit was leaking Freon; maintenance recharged the freon multiple-times within the span of 2-months (which is a violation of the Clean Air and Water Act). The air would run cold for one-day, at-most; by the second day, the connection leading into my apartment would be covered in ice, simultaneously, the unit inside of the utility closet would begin to rattle loudly, as ice covered the A/C lines inside the utility closet. Then, maintenance, sent a man to repair the A/C, and he did not even know how to turn it on. After I showed him how to turn the A/C on, I sat in my room and began to smell something burning… This man turned the HEAT on in the middle of a heat-wave in July… He instructed me to “turn on the heat for a while to defrost the lines, when that happens…”Time and again, I was told that “we will be back tomorrow…”Finally, when maintenance did return, they replaced the A/C unit with a significantly older one from another apartment, which evidently does not work either.I called emergency maintenance, yet again, and the person who answered, hesitated after I stated my request regarding the A/C… and the individual asked me to repeat the request because they were under the impression that the A/C was fixed…. Maintenance, repeatedly, reported that the issues was resolvedUNRESPONSIVE Management… Do yourself and AJH Management a favor, lease with another company.
My boyfriend and I recently moved to International City Apartments two months ago making us first time renters. Our consultant Hailey was very kind and extremely helpful. The apartment exceeded my expectations. It’s very spacious and newly renovated. And it’s right across the street from a plaza full of convenient stores. I love everything about it. So glad to call this place my home!
Lets start with the good. The office staff here has always been helpful and kind. I have never had a single issue with our leasing agent, from the moment we met, nor the front desk attendant who is always calm and attentive even while apparently running point on the whole office. The area itself is quiet and the grounds are kept clean and theres ample lighting to feel safe at night. Ive never seen animal droppings, unkempt trash or recycling areas and theres an aura of professionalism.Where AJH Management fails is maintenance. It is clearly not a priority.I am currently writing this in a room filled with the musty smell of mildew coming from an air conditioning unit. A few weeks ago during a heavy storm, rainwater leaked into the apartment through the A/C installation, seeping through the wood border. It was a constant stream of water. As per the lease agreement, I reached out to the only contact I had available - the leasing agent - and requested someone from maintenance attend to the issue and a copy of the written notice be placed in my file. I didnt hear anything back.I felt this was an appropriate route because we had a similar issue (water leak) in the bathroom which was another concern for mildew. In addition to sending a written notice, I had to follow up with two phone calls before maintenance came to install a blower to dry up the water. To be clear, the issue wasnt solved. Maintenance simply covered it with a quick fix. There is still water leaking in the bathroom. I left it alone because I didnt want to have to keep hounding maintenance to follow through and it didnt seem to be a health problem. As for the moldy A/C unit, Ive now sent three written notices and have called twice. The reason Im pressing this issue is because I am working from home during COVID restrictions and really dont have a choice but to breathe this same air *all day*. I am breathing in mold, day and night, with clear evidence of a bronchial infection and AJH Management has failed to follow up with as little as an inspection to see what solution can be provided. This is neglectful, bottom line.
Tried reaching management on the phone several times in March, but the call is brushed off each time by the exact same woman. From the moment we had a hold on the apartment in December 2019 with one months rent up until now, no one from management has made any attempt to reach out.Apartment was not ready on the date promised and the only way we found out was by walking in. Sally made no attempt to check on the status of the apartment any time prior to our arrival to the point she was not expecting us at all in the office to sign our paperwork despite having a very careless email engage 2 days before move-in. Overall an absolutely terrible move-in experience. They should seriously consider getting a new leasing agent in there that can handle her work load.I also look forward each month to being charged the rent that is of course supposed to include access to the gym, but because of COVID is closed. Please note I understand why its closed, however all other gyms are not continuing to charge its members for a gym they cannot access, but good luck getting through to management about getting any type of money back even/especially when they are at fault. Cant wait to move!
02/06/2021 & 02/23/2021 I have had attempted break ins through my bedroom window. Please do the research as to where you are staying. there is no care for your safety here. I have never been so mistreated by an apartment complex. No one even asked was I OK, they just automatically went with an attitude instead of professionalism. the landscape is beautiful..... the apartments are ok. All I wanted was to be transferred to another unit due the breakin.... still waiting... i have been continuously reaching out to them for an update. I was asked by the Leasing Manager what do you want me to do about it? This is sad.
I am a new tenant of about a month, my experience has been absolutely great so far and I am hopeful it continues in that manner. I had an amazing start to this process due to my advisor Ms Hailey Nunez, I had a smooth transition largely on part to Hailey’s patience, preparedness & professionalism. I also met the head of maintenance Mr John, very competent hard working gentleman ,ThankYou both for a great start and as I said I am hopeful my stay here will continue to be awesome.
This is not a rant.Just an awareness alert because i wish i seen this when i chose International City Apartment.I loved the landscape, the quietness and the commute to my job at CHOP. Unfortunately i did not know that i would have to be dealing with attempted break ins 3 times so far in one month of February this year 2021 . Living as a single woman and working long hours at the hospital i just want to come and relax. but unfortunately i have not been staying at my apartment since 02/06/2021. The leasing office does not care nor have they reached out to me at all. I thought i may have done something to them? This complex is beautiful however the ignored crime rate is concerning,
I lived here for 3 years June 2017 to June 2020. In May 2019 ownership changed from Korman to AJH. New staff in front office were generally less friendly and much less responsive - a major part of why I moved out.(Without too long of a story- I had a leak coming from apartment above causing wet carpet and walls - took 2.5 months to fix leak, weeks longer to repair wall and paint, and I moved out months later before they fixed carpet). They didnt respond to emails and tried to brush off phone calls and in-person office visits. They tried to blame COVID-19 pandemic for them not responding despite me alerting them of issue two months before pandemic began. I had to threaten to withhold rent to get to speak with property manager (whose phone number they arent allowed to give out apparently) who was apologetic but still didnt get things done after saying he would. Not a one star review, because I can say apartment was good generally - large and nice with free off-street parking as a plus - though Id say its a bit expensive for the location. Also the former mgmt tried raising rent $30/month in 2018 and 2019 (new mgmt tried also, but I didnt renew) but I was able to negotiate to only $10 increase. Also know that the only utility included is trash pickup so youre paying for gas (heat + cooking), electric (central A/C), cable/internet, and water (water bill was super high in my opinion ~$60/mo because they charge based on square footage, not individual usage).I am so glad to be gone after dealing with the stress of unresponsive and apathetic management and maintenance. Oh, and I later found out from upstairs neighbor it was a toilet/sewage leak (management/maintenance never bothered to tell me this) - so I had health concerns of mold from dampness and sewer leakage being in my apartment for months. Really, cant say enough about how bad the new ownership, management, and maintenance are.
I Advise against moving here! The air vents are painted over the cabinets are falling apart the showers are old and grimy looking no matter how much you clean it. And for more than 1200 a month you would think when something broke they would come out right away. I told them about my central air being broken in the beginning of may! They came out several times and put Freon in it and it still froze over and blew out warm air. My apartment has been 80 degrees all summer and I had to go buy a wall unit to keep my room cool for me and my dog. They came out again once I stopped paying rent and said this was as cool as it was going to get on the second floor. I told them I use to live right across the street on the second floor and had not problem. They had nothing to say but that I should pay rent before they file court papers. So their route is not fix anything and take their tenants to court.
I would recommend International City Apartments to some looking for housing.I was contacted by a leasing agent named Charde, she went above and beyond to make my moving experience special. Charde is very knowable about the area and the apartments. I appreciate her professionalism and honesty. After viewing several different apartments, she convinced to go with the better deal. I love when you get customer service and the agent is looking out for your best interest.
Super great experience living here. This might be a little long winded, but youre living here, so I think thats okay. Everyone in the office is super nice. Ive never had a staff member there have an attitude or in any way act as though I was an inconvenience. Secondly, the apartment was completely ready for me to move in, without any issues. I was so impressed with the level of detail that went into making sure the apartment was ready. The cabinets were wiped down, carpets freshly cleaned, etc. Thirdly, while I can only speak for my experience, I have never even heard my neighbors, except during New Years Eve. And as for parking, its safe and no ones car has ever been broken into or anything like that as far as Im aware. The bills here are pretty manageable and are the water bill (this one is higher for me at 60/month), electric ($30/month), and gas $50/month) - all for a two bedroom. The only thing I dont like about the bills is that Xfinity is the only option for internet and its a garbage company with overpriced service that barely gets the other side or the apartment. Before closing this out, I also love that I can pay my rent online, set up a recurring payment if I want, and schedule service requests online as well.
Ive been living here at international city apartments for some months now. My leasing agent, Charde made sure that everything went by smoothly for me. The process was really quick and easy. I couldnt be more happier. Definitely ask for her if youre looking for an apartment 😊.
My boyfriend and I rented a studio there over the summer, we loved it! Charde was an amazing help throughout the entire application and move in process. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we are applying for a 2-bedroom here with Chardes help again. I will post another update after we move in, I strongly recommend contacting her if you need anything.
Ive lived here for 3 months now and I am truly satisfied. I would recommend International City apartments to anybody! Its very spacious, clean and maintenance be on top of everything. Shoot they called me and asked if I have any problems in the apartment?(that woowed me). I have to be honest! both Chardae and Hailey were great. Chardae was very professional and helpful with helping me get my paperwork in quickly and answering whatever questions I had. Hailey was amazing too she was my consultant who went above and beyond to assure that I had an apartment I was happy with. Although all their apartments are nice. I always go with the one that feels like home to me. Because of Hailey not stopping until she found my new place called home. Thank you Hailey! You and Chardae get 4 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾.....
DO NOT LIVE HERE!The rent is ridiculously overpriced, the quality of maintenance and home DOES NOT match the price of the homes, maintenance never comes when they say they will, they lose your keys and make it your problem for them to being them keys to fix a problem that youve asked them to fix for months, the leasing office is rude and unprofessional.DO NOT LIVE HERE!Heed my warning and dont walk, RUN!
You do not want to move here warning. You will be better off sleeping in your car or a park. I moved here on August 4, 2020 and unfortunately the storm caused damages to my apartment on August 5th but as of today the repairs have not been made they never put me in another apartment temporary nor payed for me to stay else where. All they do is tell lies and had enough nerve to bill me. They finally replaced the carpet on September 16 but the sheet rock havent been replaced oh and not to mention my dryer that doesnt work properly maintenance told me it probably take 2 months when he finally came to fix the door that kept getting stuck.. Do not move hear you better believe the Reviews. I have became stressed and depressed. All I wanted to do is enjoy my new place never finished unpacking. I have been more than patient 😡
These apartments used to be Korman suites they are now International city . When Korman was in charge they kept up the complex and maintenance response was fast . Now this new company the apartments are slowly starting to look like the projects trash in the unkempt lawn mice have suddenly shown up after living here for over 8 years with none prior. Maintenance is slow to non responsive. Dont move here go to a real Korman property this management company is horrible korman prices project living conditions...
First time looking for a place for my brother and Charda definitely was so professional and helpful through the whole process. Like literally I know I got on her nerves but she didn’t show it. She always answered my phone call and extended more help. The apartment is so beautiful and affordable. My brother love it and I’m glad to be apart of the process.
My move in by was the best experience I have ever had. Charde, one of the leasing workers at international city apartments, was very helpful and gave great insight about living here. I have not yet any complaints and anything that I need help with she is right on it. Which is great!
At first, everything seemed great but as you start living in here youll notice the difference. My apartment looked completely different from what I was shown, especially outdated appliances and kitchen cabinets. Bathroom is in bad condition since the beginning, I got leaks through my wall from the apartment upstairs, shower makes weird noises as water heater is used. Closet doors have been squeaky and dont close properly since the start (and were overlooked from our part, as a lot of things) but our most difficult issue has been mice. Every time the temperature starts getting cold we get mice in the apartment. It was notified to Korman (the first time around) and they sent pest control but with this new management agency, AJH Management, Id rather take care of it myself. They have changed a lot of amenities that were previously included in Kormans lease and have modified them their way or made them disappear completely without communicating their tenants or changing their rent fees. For example, just today I found out that the mail room that previously existed is not there anymore (apparently as of May 7th) but I wasnt notified of this and probably most tenants havent. Management needs to be responsible and hold themselves accountable for upkeep of units and communication of important changes within the complex, especially those regarding tenants.
I dropped 3 stars because of the moveout experience. They charge unfairly for carpet. When I moved out there were only two or three small stains on carpet which is obviously expected if you stayed in the house for 2 years. I think i have second thoughts on recommending this place to anyone.Korman Residential at International City Mews & villas is a decent place for what you pay. The rent is very reasonable and the location is great. There is plenty of transportation especially if you work in center city. The staff in leasing office is very nice and they patiently answer to all questions. I stayed at Korman residential apartments for 2 years ad had very few problems. Some time the flood lights or security lights doesnt work which makes it feel dark and shady. I guess the mice infestation needs to be addressed asap before it becomes a menace. Overall my stay at korman is very pleasant. I would be more happy if the maintenance should have shown up in time when my bathtub faucet had broken and water was wasted for entire two days. The same thing happened with water heater it was left broken until they had to finally fix it after 3 or 4 days.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. When korman was bought over by international city our experience had gone totally downhill. Let’s start off with maintenance issues, broken AC for months even in the hot summer and no one came to fix it for 7 MONTHS. Broken heat on cold nights (20 degrees) that wasn’t fixed for 3 + days!!!! When a big storm hit early August 2020 I had HUGE water damage all through the apartment(walls celing ect) and I was told by maintenance there was no way to fix it. Mice would run wild run our unit due to unfixed holes under the stove and refrigerator and the only thing maintenance ever did was bring one single sticky trap. Mice was a mutual problem without all the units and tenants here as well and we kept it very tidy.WORST OF ALL- Was when we had a sqatter next door. We would see the door and lock broken daily and hear the shower and see the light on (from the outside) and hear movement everyday in a VACENT apartment and the property did NOTHING for my safety. Said it was squirrels ...didn’t know squirrels could break the lock on the door MULIPE TIMES!PLEASE do not move here. They are an incredibly shady business save your money and move somewhere professional!
Caution!!!!Do not move in here. They have the worst maintenance service, customer services and management. They don’t care about the tenants issues in the apartment. I have a broken washing machine for almost a month now. I have been calling since then but no one seems interested to correct the issue. I even went to the useless office hoping someone will understand the situation. However, they said I should go outside to the public laundromat to wash my clothes. That’s the best solution they can offer. For some reason, they make it seems like I am living for free. In fact, I am paying overpriced for unsatisfied apartment. As of now, I am paying to wash my clothes outside and at the Same time paying my rent. I can’t wait till my lease is over. I will never recommend this place... mice, roaches, infested.
Have lived here for over 3 years and I’m definitely happy with this community. The office is great and the staff is friendly. We upgraded our unit to the Modern version and it was worth every penny. Some residents in the community have some screws loose, any many others are warm and friendly. The Office listens to all of our (community resident) complaints, and does their best to fix the problem.I have a dog and make sure that there is no waste around associated to my dog, but NOT all dog owners are responsible with this issue. If you own a dog here, please be courteous and clean up any waste. The dog park is not a toilet for your dog.Finding great neighbors is a lottery, just like anywhere
Extremely unprofessional team. I moved in about a month ago and somehow the leasing office was unable to communicate that to other agents. Someone walked into my house with comfort and ease as if it was vacant. When I addressed the issue, sally in the leasing office hung up the phone on me and stopped answering, called a total of three times before someone picked up. AND I HAVE YET BEEN ABLE TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER. When asked for management email, she provided me with the Wong email, I am sure it is due to the fact that she was the individual who assisted me upon moving into these apartments and wanted to cover up her lack of. I do not recommend !!! unless you aim for a stressful, disrespectful, and disgusting experience. (Won’t address the apartment conditions, definitely will be here all day.) it’s only been a month and I’ve had more issues with this place than I did my last which I lived at over 4 years ! Mentally draining !!
I enjoy living here at international city. Chardae made my apartment buying experience stress free.! She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to be able to move in.! She was very helpful and professional.! I been here a few months now no complaints.! I LOVE MY APARTMENT.! THANK U CHARDAE
Please don’t move here.- Less than a month after I moved, my roof completely fell on my mattress( bed was not yet assembled and thanks God I wasn’t there that day) I got an allergy due to the material that was in the roof. When I called the office they just repair the roof and told me they could do nothing about the damages in my stuff or my allergy.- The water bill is about 60-70$ a month. Even if I’m barely there. I spent a whole month in New York and still got my bill this high.-The ladies at the management office are so rude !I moved to be closer to my university but I wish I haven’t cause this place is not worth it.Think twice before you decide to move there.
Most of the staff members in the leasing office are mean and nasty. Its rare that they will put your service requests in. Christopher is the property manager, he a nice person but an ineffective property manager. Its very strange to me that they have working security lights, recycle bins, well lit trash areas, and nicely kept lawns at the apartments located on the same side of Lindbergh Boulevard as the leasing office. Meanwhile, on the opposite sided the leasing office we do not have working security lights, which is a safety hazard, the trash areas do not have working lights, the parking lots need to be redone, I had to get new tires on my SUV twice, I currently park on the street, the trash areas arent monitored so we have people illegally dumping trash constantly, which brings skunks because the trash area gets too full and overflows, the carpet cleaning company they use always park on the lawns making deep ditches in the soil and when it rains we have huge puddles of muddy water near our homes, which attracts bugs that can spread diseases, if you like roller coasters, youll love it when it snows here, they do not put salt down after they shovel, which leaves thick patches of ice on the pavement and when you leave your apartment, youre slipping and sliding to your car door, praying you dont get hurt. This is unacceptable. Im not the only resident that has complained concerning these issues, I also have pictures to prove that everything stated in this review is true. I would love to speak to someone at the next level of management. I dont want to see anyone fired, I would like the staff to have customer service training and management training. These trainings would assist in making Korman Suites a great place to live. I love this neighborhood and hate to have to leave but Im not getting the quality service that I am paying for.
ADVISE TO NEW PROSPECTS: DO NOT MOVE HERE!=================================================Helpful hint - if you are looking to move here I suggest you only read the Google Reviews after June 2019 because thats when the new owners (AJH Management) took over. All reviews prior to June 2019 were for the previous owners (Korman).=================================================New management, AJH, is absolutely worthless. Maintenance work does not get done. My window was broken into and its been 6 weeks that Ive been trying to get them to fix it. Sometimes I call they say they dont have my request, other times I call they keep telling me they ordered the window.... seriously??? Its been 6 weeks. Are you making the window by hand or what? The upkeep of the property has gone down severely. Mice running around everywhere in the apartments. Trash is everywhere, parking lots are polluted, grass growing taller than me. Area is getting worse as there were a few shooting take place several weeks ago. This is getting to be an unsafe, UN-hygiene place to live.My true advise - stay away from this place. Korman (old management) did a much better job up keeping and maintaining the units. Now that they have left, its gone way downhill.Ill be willing to change my review should things change but seriously, its not looking good and I think it will get worse over time.
With Apartment living there are going to be +/- that you have to deal with and it depends on what you are looking for. Personally I needed a decent place to lay my head that was conveniently located to the airport, I-95 and shopping. It meets those needs. So I sacrificed luxury and modern living for convenience.Lets face facts. These apartments are old and outdated. The only thing you will get New is paint and carpet. The cabinets are falling apart unless you are lucky enough to get the apartment you see on the website. I had to fix the shelves in mine myself. Manual thermostat that wastes energy because the heat and AC constantly run or dont run enough to keep the temperature. I also didnt know that it came with a neighbor who has an aggressive dog that barks at everyone who passes by the window. This dog an another neighbors dog got into a fight right in front of the building. Did I mention the gnat infestation problem? Or how about the rodents that run through the ventilation system and sometimes they make it inside the apartment. Oh I forgot to mentioned the guy that was shot and killed in the parking lot in the day time. Saw the area taped off by the police but didnt know what happened until I saw the news.Should I go on? Wells the people in the leasing office act as if you are bothering them when you ask them to do something like hmmm THEIR JOB! My stove wasnt working(would shut off whenever you tried to pre-heat the oven) when I moved in and the service guy came by 3 times before the problem was resolved. But the guy had an attitude with me because I complained about a stove that wasnt working when I moved in. How am I supposed to eat. Seems to be the attitude of everyone that works for this company. Except for one guy who worked in the office but I havent seen him for a while so maybe he is gone. In any event my air conditioner only wants to work when the weather is nice enough to open your windows. But oh yeah I had to request to get screens put in before I can do that. So objectively I have to say that the best thing about living here has nothing to do with the apartment and more to do with location. You can catch a bus to the airport without having to pay for parking. Grocery store is a 5min walk and you are less than a 5 min drive to I-95. They do keep the grounds nice and manicured but If you want more than that keep looking.I am active duty military and have lived many places and I have never experienced such a lack of regard for people once you sign the lease. When I was a perspective, I felt like a college recruit everyone wanted to sign m. But after that, garbage! I would never ever ever live here again or any other place managed by this company. Worse experience ever! I wish I could give zero stars! The final straw was then deducting a $131 from my deposit for a water bill I paid! At least the person I spoke to named Colleen Mazzoni was nice and pleasant although I dont feel the final result was not what I expected. They kept my money and I dont feel it was accurate but Im 1000 miles away now.Pros:- Gym in leasing office (descent for light workout)- loaner bikes- Close proximity to shopping (grocery, auto etc)- Grounds are well maintainedCons:- Old outdated bathroom/kitchen/thermostat- pesky insects (gnats mainly) & rodents (yuck!)- poor customer service at leasing office and poor response for maintenance- no security on the premises(cameras, police drive through)- parking lot floods when it rains- no central lock mailboxes (packages are stolen when left at the door)- you have to use PayPal to pay your water bill and you get charged a fee to send money...they dont tell you that up front.
This is the absolute worst apartment Ive ever lived in! We moved in September 1, 2016 and every since then weve had the following issues (I may have forgotten some because there have been plenty): upon viewing the apartment initially, we saw mouse droppings in the place of the oven. We were told theyd be clogging up any holes and that everything would be taken care of before out move in date. Since we were coming from out of town, we tried to have a family member do the final walk through but it wasnt ready until 1-2 weeks before move in. There were mouse droppings upon our move in, despite what Kenia told us. Our toilet was broken for over 2 days, and we were told theyd come during regular hours because it wasnt an emergency. Our water heater busted and they had to replace it. The filter for the AC unit had to be replaced. We have squirrels literally living above both bedrooms and they can be heard throughout the day and are loudest between 10pm-4am. Our shower head broke and water was spewing out for a full day until maintenance came. Water was leaking from the shower, which of course was included in our water bill. Yes, maintenance has done all they could and yes, it was within their required response time; however, weve only been here for 6 months and the apartment that we were told was move in ready is definitely not and will probably be move in ready by the time we move out! Im sure I missed a few things like us living in a smoke free apartment that is located above a smoking apartment. The list goes on. Very disappointed in this property, to say the least and to believe were paying $1,145 a month for this place. Oh and lets not forget to mention that as of February 25, 2017, today, weve spotted mice!
Lived in these apartments 2 years when I first moved in my apartment was infested with roaches (should’ve been my first red flag) then all within the first 2 weeks of me living there the refrigerator stopped working, the sink leaked and the neighbors upstairs flooded my apartment so there were brown water stains on the ceiling for the remainder of the time I lived there then on top of that when it would rain the front window to my apartment would pour water into the apartment soaking the floor. However I overlooked so many other issues with the apartment but the problem came upon moving out when they charged me almost $900.00 to change the rugs (which SHOULD be done after every tenet) for normal wear-and- tear. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments but to each is own.
Excellent in every respect! Charde especially has made it so easy for us to move to International City. She was/is always available to help us in every way to transition to this new location. Additionally, we are very happy with the Apartment. We feel comfortable and secure and so very happy that we made the right choice. Thank you Charde and staff! Victoria Bonner
Don’t bother applying, they make sales off application fees.Update : Don’t believe the manager response, my review isn’t based off not being approved, because I never received a approval or disapproval, I was simply never given an answer, but I was coerced by their employees to apply. It was simply a quick $80 grab, but it’s cool.By the way, realize how they only replied to me and not their disappointed clients. ☕️ 🐸
The place is quiet with Spacious rooms. Hailey Nunez was the one to assist us in getting the apartment. She was helpful and kind. I was moving down to Phili due to working at the phili live casino opening up and she was able to make the process of finding a place fast and easy. It was also last min and I would had to communize because of not having a place in time but with her effort Hailey Nunez was able to get us a place to live. If you are looking for a apartment to rent she is the go to to help you.
FRAUD and FALSE, I wanted to sign 6 months lease since I don’t know if I have to stay an year based on my work, they made me sign an year of lease and told me that I could cancel lease in six months without any charge… The lady in front desk will tell you any lies to make you sign lease… DO NOT TRUST THE LEASING OFFICE !!!!!
They will show you the show room, which will look beautiful. When they give you your room, you will find insects, mouse, dirty. The kitchen is terrible. Once you live there they have a security guard, AMAZING right? HAAA, he just sleeps in his car. The guy who do maintenance are always in their car, probably smoking like always. The workers in the office are a joke, they have bad attitude. They will be extremely sweet if you are interested in leasing, otherwise they are just rude.
Just moved in for 2018 and I am greeted with BED BUGS. It is very upsetting to have moved all of my valuables in and have to protect/wrap everything with plastic to prevent infestation. I just purchased all-brand new furniture and bed, thousands of dollars potentially down the drain. I read about this on previous reviews but didn’t believe it. It is actually true. This is no way to live nor treat new tenants, putting them in infested suites.
Hello my name is Latrelle Kelley. I currently reside at your International City location. When I first moved there a year ago I was a bit nervous being as though this had been my first apartment and me being on my own. This experience has been a God given privilege and I really enjoy it. The location is out of this world putting me close to the philly airport, Harrahs Philly casino, a great market and fastfood chains. And living in my spacious apartment is the added extra bonus. I has such a great peace of mind, and the staff really go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are fully satisfied. I enjoy this ride that I am on and I look forward to living here for years to come. Thank you LiveKorman, I definitely recommend anyone who is starting out on their own to consider Korman as their new and forever home. Love to the entire staff!!!
KORMAN SUITES PHILADELPHIA......I Moved in on 02/01, immediately had problems, filled out 2 inspection sheets, 3 days apart(pitiful). All wall outlets had paint covering them which is a code violation, another one was burnt out (only one fixed), tub has a stain at the bottom and a missing drain stop, shower head leaks, paint on kitchen and bathroom light fixtures and switches, an out dated washing machine/dryer, bathroom and kitchen cabinets OUTDATED (before moving in the apt I viewed had all new appliances new carpet) I was told that my apt would have new everything), dish washer doesnt work, carpet is supposed to be new. I spoke with the manager and she assured me that things would be corrected but here it is a week later,( nothing).....I am very dissatisfied with the apt, the lies and deceit of KORMAN SUITES...... the pics I saw in the pamphlets/ brochures are only for promotional purposes. I think that a 1 star rating is more than what I wanna give. IM SURE ILL BE BACK TO ADD MORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS SOON
I use to enjoy living her but since the new management company toke over it is HORRIBLE .I have no air and I pay over 1k a month I have been without air for months I have called in numerous times to get my air working to no avail no follow up calls nothing .My son has asthma and with the carpet and the attic the place holds a lot of heat . Do not move here I would strongly suggest the apartments on 84th st .Im disappointed and will be moving very soon
I just recently moved in I was super excited to move in but when I did it was a million things wrong when I did the maintenance people never show up I have to call multiple times just for someone to show up to my apartment I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to anyone
New management is working hard to upgrade the community and establish positive relationships with tenants. The office staff has much improved and there is a brand new renovation of the fitness center. The maintenance crew has also been increased and responds to any repair issues in a timely manner. The community spirit is still very peaceful and neighborly here.
Christopher is the best in this 7900 Lindbergh office. He makes me feel welcome every time that I go in for any reason. he helps me Chris is the best. I can have a work order that I called in 3 days ago may4, He gets the job done.right away. I f Chris leaves Korman is going to be a dumpI hope.you never leave. Question why are neighbors starting to bringB.Q grill on there front lawn.and the feeding of stray animals my neighbos their are feedingsquirrels they have drinking water bowls food pans under the hedges and and the squirres and anything eating this is not healthy I come home late at night and Im afraid something might jump.outI
I do not leave many reviews... but stay away.Lived there for 3 years. While there if asked I probably would have given a 4 star review... Maybe 3 as rent was raised. Convenient to work. Office staff was friendly. And package hold was great. Flexible lease lengths.Now... its a 0.The move out was disastrous. The carpet was new when I moved in, but it is/was the cheapest stuff you could buy. The first time I vacuumed it half of it ended up in the vacuum. Moved out and they say it needs to be replaced and are wanting to charge me over $800. Snake like from upper management Im sure, it isnt the front office staff. They lied about the cleaning I did. Bill shows toilet, floors, tub as needing to be cleaned. I scrubbed those before moving out. Also a bonus charge for excessive cleaning. Bogus. Only thing I didnt clean well was the oven. Same scam as reported elsewhere.Ill second the threat to send to collections if not paid in 2 weeks that another reviewer posted. While living there i had multiple issues with rodents. They sent the exterminator each time, but never fixed the problem of holes in the walls that the mice came through. I had no open food in my apartment.Smelled smoke from the neighbors below me even when windows were closed. Must have come up through the floor. (Probably the real reason they need to replace the carpet anyway)Thin walls. I could hear every tv show my lower neighbor watched. And if they were arguing I could have testified in court what was said if asked.Roof leaked. Told them about it. It was fixed the 3rd time I told them. But then It leaked again.Asked for weather stripping on the front door to be replaced.... that took over 3 months.Window unit air conditioners were old. Cold but not efficient at all.Single part time resident yet somehow mg water bill is a split for the entire complex usage. And the last bill is inflated too. Oh... And there is a fee to pay that bill online from the management company the apartment management outsources it too.Ill repeat the warning about the noise from the drag racing. Also, it must be the only single straight smooth piece of road in Philly, so everyone brings their sport bikes or illegal dirt bikes and rides by as fast as they can. It will wake you up if you are anywhere near 84th street. Office may say they reach out to tje police department, but when I asked officers patrolling around the area about the racing I was told there was nothing they could do.Neighbors were nice enough. But overall... the place is not worth what they are charging, and rent went up every time my lease was renewed. There are cracks in the walls, my unit had cabinets that were almost falling apart. Finally had enough and left. Look elsewhere unless you are stuck, and dont plan on seeing a dime of your deposit back.I was going to dispute the move out charges, but after reading these reviews Ill just drop off a check and be glad I am done with it all.
Mice, disturbances, and scams on security deposits: We lived there for a little over a year and thought it would be a great place , but please heed this advice: Stay away.We had mice for several months despite keeping our kitchen as clean as we could. We were told it was par for the course in complexes that size. They wont tell you this, but drag races take place on the street right outside the complex almost every weekend night all through the night. It will most definitely wake you up. The walls are thin, youll hear your neighbors arguing and the people underneath/above you sneezing, watching TV or even having a loud conversation. Then, on your way out, they will charge you ridiculous fees for minuscule things. We got charged more than $500 to replace a carpet that we reported as dirty when we moved in. We reported stains, they said they found stains in areas outside of what we reported, so they charged us for the new carpet they decided to install. It figures, seeing as they have such a high turnover rate. We had roughly three new neighbors in maybe a five-month span. When we asked to dispute it, they said they were going to put the money we owed on top of the security deposit in a collection agency if we fought. Incredibly sleezy.Maintenance staff is very nice and so was the woman who set up our lease, but that would not be enough for me to tell anyone to stay as far away as possible from this place.Edit: They did NOT offer us a payment plan, as listed below in their response. They threatened to send our fee to collections if it wasnt paid in two weeks. Also, we shampooed the carpet right after our move in (water was disgusting) and again right before we moved out. Not sure how it had a heavy dog odor after cleaning with detergent. Bottom line: STAY AWAY from this place.
Bottom line: management is scum, say goodbye to your security deposit, hope you like mice. The ugly: Just assume you will never see your security deposit ever again. We had been warned by a neighbor (who moved from one unit to another) that he was charged a cleaning fee because he left a soda bottle in the kitchen. I scrubbed the place for hours after we moved everything out, and I even shampooed the carpets (the amount of dirt I was able to get out of them was truly horrifying, it had obviously never been done). Upon move out, we were supposed to get our security deposit in a check sent to our new address (which I provided on the move out paperwork). Instead, they sent us a bill to my parents house (which we are lucky we even found) for several hundred dollars - on top of security deposit - to replace the carpet. I listed on the damage report when we moved in that there were stains to the carpet, but because I didnt write stains under every single room they charged us to replace it. When confronted they claimed we were only charged to replace the carpet in certain areas, which somehow costs several hundred dollars. They said we could talk to corporate if we had any issues, and that the money would go in to collections if not paid within a week. We are planning to escalate our concerns. We are being taken advantage of, the whole situation is totally infuriating. The people we have dealt with in person at Korman have been nice, but the management are clearly snakes! The bad: apartment itself was definitely mediocre. Little cracks in the walls and ceilings, stains on carpet, windows did not close tightly so temp control was difficult (drafty in winter, grossly hot in summer). Its unbearable in the summer unless youre running the window unit the entire time youre inside. Our door seal was so bad we could see cracks of light around it. We ran our electricity bill up a lot on heat/AC alone. We could also smell our downstairs neighbor smoking even when our windows were shut. The smell would come up through the floor. We could hear our neighbors talking, hear their TV, vacuuming, every time their door opens and closes, etc. And we were UPSTAIRS, im sure they could hear every step we took. Some closet doors were not on the hinges, others I had to shove to get to open. The handle to our shower was not actually attached despite a request to maintenance to fix it. Our garbage disposal never seemed to work right despite being replaced by maintenance. We also had a mouse problem and had to keep all of our food sealed in tupperware. It did appear to resolve after the exterminator came (he apparently comes every week and I am sure many other buildings have mice). Cars drag race up and down the road at night, we werent even close to the road and still got woken up by them. The good: the ladies at the front desk were polite, helpful, got us moved in without issue. The flexible leasing was a nice option to have as we werent sure about our jobs at the time we moved in. Maintenance was always quick to respond and fixed several problems for us, replaced our washer the very next day when it stopped working. They also painted one wall for us, complimentary, when we moved in. Tons of parking. Nice proximity to the nature preserve for walking/running.
Excluding the leasing agents...maintenance was the worst....horrible service...minor issues turned into big issues...because they never responded...just overall un-professional...I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone..please re-consider ...they even pulled a shifty move on returning the deposit...by deducting water expenses for bills we never received.Dont move in this place.Spare yourself the headache.
The staff is very friendly. My boyfriend and I have lived here for about a year. The apartment is a decent size and has a lot of closet space. Washer and dryer a BIG plus. Very convenient location, close to airport, I95 and the SEPTA Airport Line to get into the city. Management is quick with responses and 24 hr maintenance. We saw 1 mouse in the dead middle of winter and an exterminator was out the next day.Update 3/30/19This will be our third or forth time renewing the lease here. Its convenient. This is the first time our rent hasnt gone up. What is really irking is that before we moved in were told something to the effect of having security here. There is not. If there was you probably wouldnt see this many posts about street racing. Its constant and will only get worse now that the weather is getting nicer. Weve called the police before but street racing is low on the totem pole. Its going to take an accident or property damage for anything to be done. There are some water spots on the ceiling in the bedroom from a few big storms we had. I did not have dripping water. I believe the roofers came a few days later to take a look at things. Im also pretty sure our bath tub was painted before we moved in. That paint has since peeled. From what Im reading, theyre probably going to charge us for that when we move out.
I had the worst experience here. We only stayed for three weeks because at least they upheld the 30 day guarantee. I could not imagine toughing it out in such a place for an entire lease. The apartment was dirty when we moved in. The neighbor was terribly loud and chained smoked. Because the apartment wasnt insulated well, we could smell smoke all day everyday in our apartment. They never fixed the bottom of the front door, so cold air would leak into the apartment. We basically stayed trapped in the master bedroom for the last 2 weeks of our stay there because you couldnt smell that much smoke from the neighbor or hear his music really. And if the door was closed you couldnt feel how cold it was from the draft and poorly insulated walls/windows. These apartments are REALLY overpriced. We live in a much better apartment now for only a tad bit more (insulated walls, honest staff, and basic clean health standards). I assume that when we cleaned the place before we left, that was the only cleaning that was done before the next residents moved in because it was filthy when we moved in. Bless them...
When I came to International city apt,,I was leaving a experience,,when I met Charda,,my leasing consultant she was very kind and professional,,Charda placed me in the best aptI love it here 15 min.from work my mother lives in SW,,and my adult children live in Delaware County,,Charda Williams thank you very much ❤
I been a resident at International City Chalets for several years. This is a great place to live. The office staff is always pleasant and try to cater to the tenants needs within reason. However I wish they didnt have to go up on the rent every year though! Every other year would be fantastic!!!!
Love this apartment. Sevice people where very prop.so so cozy and clean.Only reason I didnt give a 5star; cuz, I ask for no smoking area in the beginning.i didnt get it. And people were allow to smoke evening if they live in a no smoking area. But other than that, I would recommend these apts to anyone, that can afford, the prices going up yearly. I live here a year, I love it.
I lived at Korman International Chalets for two years while I was going to Penn to work on my masters. I was extremely pleased with my time here. As others have mentioned, there was a noise issue with drag racing on 84th street sometimes in the summer, but at all other times the area was quiet and peaceful. My neighbors were friendly, or just kept to themselves. The office staff was absolutely wonderful. They got to know me by name, always held my deliveries, and were prompt whenever I had a question or needed maintenance. The apartment had on-suite washing/drying and dishwasher, which was super nice.Because I had two cats, my carpet did get a bit messy, and I was also forced to leave some furniture behind. The charge to clean and remove this was reasonable, and I did not feel shorted at all as they clearly spelled out what I was being charged for (and it had also appeared in leasing information with a breakdown of prices when I moved in).In terms of convenience, the drive into University City usually took me 30-45mins at rush hour depending on traffic, and about 15 mins without traffic. Being so close to the freeway also meant getting to other areas like the suburbs in Delaware County was not hard at all. If my work hadnt forced me to move away, Id still be living there today.I miss my apartment at Korman a lot, as it felt quite like home after two years. I would recommend Korman to anyone who asked.
I will not recommend staying at this place especially after switch over to the new management. I’m eagerly waiting for my lease to be over so I can move out of here. My kitchen disposal is out of order for more than a month now. First of all no one picks up your call if you call maintenance line, I put several complaints by directly contacting the leasing line. There are two work orders with completed status within past one month for the same issue and it’s still not fixed. They made me do my dishes in the bath tub for the whole month. I feel like living in a third world country.
Small apartments in a safe neighborhood. Office has public restroom, office equipment for tenants to use and a small limited gym. Bad side the majority of the employees are rude, like extremely rude. Their stainless steel units were like 2gs a month. Very small square footage. Had to throw away so much stuff just to move in here.
My apartment had to be switched the day before I moved in because something was wrong with the gas and it was not liveable. Then they switched my apartment so I could still move in and I had to switch my gas to another apartment because they had to relocate my apartment and it was a weekend so they told me the heat will be left on for me and I would pay the complex for using it for the weekend. I moved in and it was New Years Eve so cold the heat was not working five of the outlets did not work the bathroom closet doors were off the hinges and the shower was broken and the water kept going into the ceiling. I also found out quickly that the entire complex had a mouse problem and my apartment was infested with them a mouse even died in my oven the manager came to remove it from my oven thank god because I was not touching it. I also learned that my air conditioning isnt working on one of the hottest days we have had at 90 degrees and two people came to fix it and could not then I was promised a wall unit to get some air circulating and Ive been waiting for the past 8 hours and still has yet to arrive and I have a dog that is laying on the floor looking lethargic and i myself can no longer take the heat so I guess we are going to go sit in my car and blast that ac. Im completely outraged! Nothing has been smooth sailing since I have moved in!
There are mice, even though we clean, vaccum, put traps and poison and have made multiple calls to management. The doors auto lock when you close them. If you lock yourself out during the weekend, maintenance will not come out to help you. Our apartment is on the corner of Lindbergh and 78 and outside is four bus stops that keep us up all night and early morning with the noise of traffic and the buses. Also on the fligh path so the sound of planes landing wake us up 5am-6am daily. There are 2 active leaks in our apartment that have not been fixed, again despite multiple calls and complaints to management and even report to the city. In the summer, during the hottest week the AC went out and we were forced to stay the night at a hotel because maintenance told us they couldnt do anything until the next day. It was 95 degrees inside the apartment. In the gym there are no sanitation wipes for the machines so you must bring your own or risk getting ringworm.
8500 Lindbergh Blvd:-Intolerable rude staff then & now, Huge WASP & INSECT PROBLEM, MOLD PROBLEM.A little over one year ago, I was locked out of my apt. on the day of my mothers Funeral (may 2018) and management REFUSED to let me in. I was outside from 4am to 5pm. At 5 pm after speaking to the other party on my lease agreement theyd asked me to sign an addtl lease agreement, for 50.00. A stranger who was my Lyft driver tried to help me get in and even let me sleep at their home. This was 4 months into living here.Maintenance never takes their shoes off when entering apts and is not clear about work orders. There was an abundance of mold when Id moved in and still is..making it extremely hard for me to clean w/ my 2 month old daughter in the apt.The wasp problem was so bad last year that wasps had begun building nests above my door. Maintenance did remove nests but theyd still enter in through other areas.THE DEJA VU MOMENT: When Id fell in my kitchen, trying to kill wasps on my ceiling light fixture and severely injured my toe while I was pregnant. Now, theyve reappeared on the ceiling light and I had to take my Infant daughter out of the apt and we slept in my car from 11pm to 6pm the next day. This was last week. The black woman (whos name Ill get) said maintenance would come..then when Id called back she pretended like she didnt know who I was and said Im not sending maintenance into the apt. for 1 wasp. I have our phone call RECORDED. She claimed pest control had to come out in a few dats and no one has showed up.MAINTENANCE NEVER CAME AND MY BOYFRIEND DROVE FROM D.C. TO KILL THE WASPS.Fly problem! Especially now that more, and more renters w/dogs have moved in and only 1 person picks up their poop sometimes. My next door neighbor w/ patio has a trash collection out there & maintenance fails to send garbage collection out more regularly.
This is the worst place I ever lived. I always had a good rapport with my landlord, Those people are evil and greedy. I ve been having problems with the neighbors below, noises, loud music etc. I requested to leave they treat me to take me to court. They locked me out of the house with all the payments ontime. Thebapar
Nice set-up, cozy and nearby highways (i.e., 95, 76). 1st year was cool sailing. However, year two, the mice started to appear. They have nothing to eat so they eating our clothes. Hold Korman responsible for your free renewal carpet cleaning and extermination each year. Overall, it is a recommended for small families and single workers.
This place was absolutely horrid. The lady in the office was sweet, but other lady, Kane was apparently very rude to my Roomate when she would ask her questions. We lived there for the summer and they charged us $2600 a month for a model thats not the one you see in the pics. The cabinets were falling apart and splintering, the shower barely worked right, and wasps kept flying into our apartment. To be fair, the apartment was fully furnished, but $2600 was still steep considering everything else. They charged us $800 for a bleach stain the size of a coffee mug. So if you want to be ignored and disrespected by the staff, overcharged and chased by bugs in your house I highly recommend Korman Chalets
Worst place to live! in our apartment we had an infestation of mice the office sent the exterminator once apparently but we still have the infestation and they havent done anything since. Ive contacted the health department because our neighbors have complained about mice too, no one should have to live in that. Kitchen is disgusting. The place is just dirty. The staff is very rude. So if you want to pay a lot of money for a mice infested dirty apartment. This is the place for you.
Was VERY interested in Living Korman, and had been for a while; on paper/screen its a good look. My circumstances had finally settled and I made the decision to schedule a tour. Waited a week for a confirmation of the tour date I scheduled, tried three times to contact the office through the local and 800 numbers to no avail. On all websites, including the Korman site, there are units available, but even if there werent, thats no reason to holdblock callers who may simply be researching properties. On the day, tried to confirm and on three separate calls was on hold for more than ten minutes each call. Then I received an irate and almost legible vm five minutes after the scheduled tour time saying my tour appt had been canceled as I had not contacted them to say I was going to be late or not coming. How am I supposed to know where to go in the complex, who Im supposed to meet, etc., if I dont receive confirmation of the scheduled tour date with instructions? Was I just supposed to have been riding around the complex like a goof staring or knocking at every front door and not knowing who a contact person would be? People have been arrested, and worse, for less.Do better or fold.
I have been a resident for the past eight years with manor issues but Im very upset at this situation I find myself in and I dont think it is fair for me to pay because I always over pay my rent to the point that before Korman Suite left they owed me a balance of about $400 and change in January 2019. I continue to over my account after they balanced out my account. I went to the office before they left to pay my rent and asked them since they are leaving. What do I have to pay them so that the new owners will not own me any money. The amount was given to me and I paid them. Now Im being charge a balance on my account because Korman didnt pass on the information to them. I went to the office and gave them bank statement as proof of the over payment that korman gave me back. It has been a month and the balance is still on my account. I dont think this is fair to me
Very dishonest company. I am a student moving to Philadelphia in the fall for school and am searching for quotes on possible apartments out there. I spoke with Sybil Kane, representative at Korman, about getting a quote out there and soon found out that I did NOT meet the income requirements. Ok no big deal. But when I am told my credit card information is needed to determine this, my credit card is charged $50, and then told by Sybil I will be refunded (lie), that screams dishonesty. I then called the representative to inquire as to why I was charged even though she assured me I would be immediately refunded by her managers only to have her tell me I will not be refunded. Do not give this company any information regarding payment until you are 100% guaranteed housing, and even then I would do your research because if a company is dishonest about $50... they are probably lying about other things.

2021-12-29Welcome to International City Apartments. The trash is like this everyday. This place is infested with rodents. A few years back before the ownership changed these apartments were well kept. Now All the garbage cans over fill which causes rodents heavily. There is trash on the grass of peoples front windows. Do your research before moving here! The layout inside the apartments is old. The doors are old and painted over. please read the recent reviews and call the city to see what complaints were filed! If you move here search for hidden mold in the bathroom and kitchen.

2022-05-16Quiet area. Low crime. Very close to John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. Respectful and considerate neighbors. Premises kept fairly clean and lawn cut regularly. Easy parking. I have lived here five years.

2022-05-17I wish I could give more stars because I like my apartment but since this place has been taken over by AJH management the level of maintenance service has generally declined. When you call with a maintenance request they never try and accommodate you when you ask for a general idea of when you will receive the work. I don’t want people entering my apartment when I’m not there but they claim to have no way of letting a tenant know when to stay home for maintenance to come. I don’t really believe that there is no way to have a better system. The rent is fair and they take care of the aesthetics such as cutting grass. However, they have not placed any security cameras or guards despite at least two car jacking that I know of per the citizen app. I got mugged here two and a half years back going into my apartment with my elderly auntie(who was pushing me in my manual wheelchair 👩🦽at the time). When I called to let management know I received not even a “I’m sorry that happened”. When I wrote to the property manager to report the crime and ask why there was no security I received NOTHING in the way of a response. I am handicapped and moving is very hard. I wish I felt better respected because I really like this apartment.

2022-04-14As I prepare myself to move with hopes that I find something better I must say that I will miss my apartment here at International City. I moved in April 2021-April 2022, and I honestly loved it here.1. The price per square feet is great compared to what the rest of the city is charging. My 2 bedroom was a great size, my kitchen is newly renovated with the hardwood floors, new cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances. The closets are huge, the bathroom is also a decent size and washer, and dryer is in the unit. Everything was the same, as pictured on the site. The neighborhood is pretty decent, and my surrounding neighbors are polite and fairly quiet.2. Management & maintenance are fast and easy to get ahold of. I had an issue with my washing machine and got 2 visits and then later, a full replacement within 3 weeks. I also had issues with my thermostat, they came out twice to teach me how to use it and cleaned my filters. I also locked myself out and was able to go to the leasing office and have them come open the door for me to let me back in with no wait time. Ive never personally experienced a problem with either parties and Ive never experienced problems with bugs or rodents.3. There is an ample amount of parking although I will say that the address near Lindbergh Blvd. is hard to find. When ordering food, I highly recommend that you offer an address to one of the homes close by so that delivery men can find your parking lot and deliver to your door. Otherwise, mail and packages are delivered correctly.4. The trash dumpsters are always overflowing and blowing garbage all over the property, but I feel like thats expected having a community this big sharing 2 dumpsters per trash site. It doesnt bother me too much, the trash men come out weekly.5. Recently theyve switched water providers so now the water bills have to be directly paid through International City vs being paid separate.6. They do an ok good of keeping up with the lawns and keeping the grounds salted during the winter.Overall, I am satisfied with my experience.

2021-07-01THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL MOVE IN READYI was so excited to get my keys to my very first apartment yesterday. As soon as I went into the apartment, AFTER signing my lease, I found a number of things wrong with the apartment. The leasing agent told me my specific unit would have new floors and cabinets. I’m assuming it would be really nice being my rent would be $1,152. I was very disappointed with what I saw. The bathroom sink was clogged, there was dog hair all in the closet area in the bathroom (in which I had to pry open because the closet has NO DOORKNOBS) I was OFFICIALLY over it all when I discovered BLOOD 🩸 on the bathroom light switch. I can’t even being to describe the disappointment. Of course because it was after 5pm I only had contact with my leasing agent and I am currently waiting on a resolution.

2022-05-16I have been living here almost 3 years. My apartment itself I love it but I have major problems with the dumpsters in the parking lot, trash in parking lot, and the overall keeping of the grounds. Sometimes it takes a few calls to get maintenance issues resolved.I would love to see the standard of the property resume to what it was in 2019 and prior to that.

2022-03-31Welll, Ion know now , me & my Husband was thinking about moving to the Apartments but the reviews are scaring me. I’m a little sad because for months I only had these apartments in mind never reading the reviews and now I’m a little afraid. A major issue I see is the central air issue or maintenance in general. That’s a red flag. Guess I’m back to square one in the apartment search

2022-05-20Im disappointed that I can not rate lower. Not only Did a man break in my window twice through the bedroom first floor. International SHITYY apartments would not allow me to move to another unit. Did not care that a man broke through my window and who knows what he was going to do had I not ran out. They did not follow up. The manager there is horrible to the fullest, the receptionist there at the time was a whole mess and the person who initially showed me the unit. I showed them recording of the man trying to break in the first time and they did not care. I went over 5 times to plead for a new unit because i was scared. they never even called me. And now have a nerve to drop it on my credit report. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN THESE APARTMENTS. THEY LOOK PRETTY FROM A DISTANCE, THE PPL ARE INITIALLY NICE BUT THEY ARE NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL! ITS OWNED BY AJH WHOM ALSO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS JUST MONEY. RENTER BE WARE! PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! ITS A SCAM!

2022-05-13For me, it is everything that I was looking for. really had no issues since I’ve been here other than the plumbing every now and then getting backed up but they take care of it soon as you report it. All in all I love where I’m at and I’m very happy.

2022-06-28If I could give less than 1 I would. Units are nice, the management is horrible. I have never had to fight so hard to try and give someone my money. Put in an application they ignore you until you physically come in & still neglect to give you an update
