Every time I’ve had go to them over the years, they fix the problem. It doesn’t matter what kind of machine. They can handle it! Great service. Nice people. Reasonably priced!
The ONLY place I take my machines
I come here on a regular basis for all of my sewing repairs and parts for my industrial machines. The owner is kind and very intelligent and always helps me with the most impossible solutions. His prices are also much cheaper than any other location.
Jm sewing is the premier store for everything sewing in Philadelphia. The owner, Jairo is extremely knowledgeable and so kind. I asked him for a specific industrial machine and he was able to source one for me. Not only that, but the table and motor set up he gave me was fantastic. On top of all this, his prices are more competitive than Ive experienced at other shops in the area. He even has great people he recommends that will come to your house and fix machines if theyre too heavy to bring in. Go to Jm sewing for your sewing needs, you will not regret it.
I came looking to buy a machine. They didnt have any for sale at that time however. The woman answered some sewing questions with patiences. She seemed to a very gentle person. I hadnt been to that store in over 10+years
I left my sew machine with them for three day n they didn’t do kno work on it when I come thinking tht my machine would be ready the lady told me she couldn’t do no work on it til they was paid for service but they never told me tht when I drop off my machine

DO NOT bring your machine here they dont know how to fix newer models ...and the timing they tell you its gonna be ready is inaccurate I will never come here again

2022-01-21The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Willing to answer many of my questions about my machine and how to take care of it. After calling around and finding prices for service and maintenance not only was JM sewing the least expensive but also the quickest turnaround.

2021-08-26I was extremely thankful for the help received at JM Sewing. This was my 1st time having my 2020 sewing machine in for any service. The care the owner presented to me was refreshing. In conversation, I was surprised to hear that theyve been servicing over 30 years in the art of repairing sewing machines. So glad to know youre in my neighborhood. 2020-11-23First time getting my very old sewing machine repaired here and I will definitely come again! After being so frustrated with a clunky old machine that bogged down all the time, I left it for just a couple of days and under $50 later I have my machine back in better shape than it ever was. Runs smooth as silk now, and I cant wait to finish all the projects I had been putting off.

2021-09-01I broke my needle on my sewing machine & The lady behind the desk she was very nice to me & very helpful.She showed me H 2 change my needle on my machine & H 2 put the thread in the needle........Im am so grateful 4 her, She was very patient with me....I bought 3 different colors of thread, They was pretty cheap compared 2 Fabric Stores.......I will B bck again if anything goes wrong with my Sewing Machine.....UPDATE my Singer Machine Broken, it did not sew @ all, The wheel would not move @ all, Took it back up there & they fix it, Im so happy for this place. The lady was very nice to me & her husband help put my machine back in my Sewing Machine Bag.

2020-01-18This repair shop is GREAT!!!!!I sew a lot. And I’ve used a lot of repair shops over the years. I brought in two machines. Different makers. Different vintages. I didn’t even know if he could fix them. I got them back purring. Quick too.And SO REASONABLE!!!Best part. He had his employee bring both machines out to my car!!!!I’m bringing my industrial serger next week.

2020-09-07Great experience! Fair price! They took their time to do things the right way, and I appreciate that. The place smells nostalgic, like when my grandmother and uncle first showed me how to sew in 1997. Thanks for the memories.

2019-02-04I Love J&M they are conveniently located for me. The prices are great. There is no comparison to any other repair shop in town. They solved my problem the same day and believe you me I have had some problems with my machine that I could not overcome and in 15 minutes I was on my way and did not have to leave my machine for service,
