Only place for miles around that had a used version of my back windshield, great price and service, will continue using them. And I love the cats lol I don’t appreciate some reviews referring to them as as stray when you can clearly see their cat food and whatnot but that’s another point
Jacks automotive glass has been around and in business for a very long time. Jacks Auto Glass is a great shop to replace a broken or damaged window on a car. I compare their prices to save Safelite window repairs that come to your home to fix your car. For me I chose to go to Jacks cause it was cheaper. Jacks Auto Glass mechanics know how to properly replace windows and front windshields.
Was told to come in at a certain time of the day figuring I had to schedule appointment but I understand there was a wait time. When my car was taken into the shop for a window replacement it was done very well and quickly. I was happy with the service and I think the price was fair
I had a good experience at Jacks. I called a day in advanced and needed my windshield replaced. They told me they could have the windshield replaced the same day but I wanted to come in first thing in the morning. The price was reasonable and it took roughly 2 hours to remove my old windshield, clean up the area and apply the new windshield. Im happy with the service and the quality. The kept me in the loop every step. Its a bit old and dirty waiting area wise but the techs know what theyre doing and thats what matters to me. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend anyone to come here.
So glad I chose Jacks! The service was great and the price was even better! Id never go with safelite or those other guys. They were able to get what I needed at a fraction of the cost and didnt give me the run around. Sales guy explained everything I needed to know and answered all my questions. The cute sleeping cats were a bonus. Highly recommend!
There were feral cats running around all over the interior of the building. The waiting room smelled of cat urine. The wait to have your vehicle done was ridiculous; however, they do have one of the most reasonable price ranges around. I can not say anything about their service since I left before my car was repaired & found another shop closer to home which is Mantua, NJ.
I was able to make an appointment online and get it confirmed instantly! I got constant reminders of about my appointment. Jacks sent me an update letting me know the car was ready! The window looks great and the service was immaculate not to mention the price was unbeatable!! Definitely will be using in the future and referring my future customers there!
Probably wouldn’t go back to this establishment or recommend anyone to go. I waited 4 hours for my windshield to get replaced. I asked how long it would take twice and they said they were working on it. It wasn’t until I was the last person in there that I went outside to look in the garage myself to not see my car. I then walk to the lot with all the other cars and long and behold my car was sitting there, finished! I walked back in and the man in the front says you’re all done like I couldn’t see that for myself. Took wayyyy too long and unprofessional for letting me sit there if my car was done.
Reached out to get vent window that was broken into fixed and they were able to assist next day. Ordered my parts same day and helped me with appointment time that worked for me to get into work by 2 next day. Were straight forward and consistent with price they quoted. Vent window was 125 plus taxes and Safe Lite was over 300. Finally didn’t feel like I was getting screwed by an auto repair place.
I took the car back and they reinstalled the sensor and sensor cover. All good now.thanks for responding- can you contact me directly, I live in Delaware and I dont want to make the trip to the shop if nothing further can be done regarding the piece that was damaged.They were available and had the glass i needed but the cover to the sensor on the windshield was broken. Need to take it back but not sure if they can replace it. 🤔
Had a windshield replaced and it was done perfectly. The customer service was excellent. It especially helps when you know what your driving. Oh and Goodyear is not a tire size. As a customer I had a good laugh at the front door circus. Great work guys. Way to stay level headed.
Ernie is a good genuine and cool guy. The prices are comparable to most shops and frankly if your car has issues, you just have to pay. Go in early, as they only had one guy and it took a bit of time to get my car windshield done. I spent a grand total of 3 hours there, yikes. Also, if youre a cat lover this is the place for you. The cats reign supreme! Unfortunately, I am not. The smell of the 2 cats I saw is STRONG in that place and they lay any, and everywhere. Nonetheless, I went for windshield repair and got that done on a sunday, so all is good in my book.
I needed to get a window replaced on my Jeep Cherokee. Jacks were able to replace the window that day. It was even tinted like my others.Their price was VERY GOOD. 200 bucks cheaper then all the other places. They even vacumed the broken glass up.I highly recommend Jacks Auto and will ONLY be using them from now on.Next Im going for front tint after they told me the price.Jim M. 7-29-2020
Poor Customer Service Over The Phone. My dad called this location yesterday to inquire about a windshield for my car. He mentioned that they stated they would have to order the glass, but told me to call to make sure. I called today and the customer service over the phone was very rude about my asking for information that would pertain to me spending money at this establishment today. I wanted to be clear that what my dad said was actually still the case. Instead of understanding and providing quality customer service, he told me to come and pay a deposit and they would order the glass. I asked how much the deposit would be, because my dad only told me what I thought was a total cost of $185, not a deposit. I told the guy that my dad mentioned the $185 and before I could ask anymore questions, he says with disdain, “well, that’s what it is.” I said ok & told him that was rude, then got off the phone. I’m not spending hundreds of dollars where only the money is appreciated. I appreciate all-around quality. This establishment will not get my money nor any recommendations from me.
They dont do good business. I went there on a Monday, July 27th. They had to order the part My vehicle needed. I was told that it would be there the next day. So I paid in full. Long story short, I just got the part on August 12th. The only communication we had during this time was me calling them several times and going there twice. I didnt receive any compensation for the inconvenience or even an apology.
If you get an appointment its the same as just showing up, waited 4 1/2 hours for a door window installation for a scheduled appointment.. price quoted over phone and price given after final installation were different. Door still has the old glass jiggling around inside door. I will give caution when recommending jacks auto glass...
I am very happy with my experience... someone burglarized my truck smashed the tailgate window! I spoke with Adam he quoted a reasonable price & assured me that it would be no problem to restore. When I arrived at the shop the gentlemen @ the front was very friendly & funny :) they told me my wait time and they finished before. My truck was vacuumed cleaned and the window looked wonderful! Thank you!
Although Ive been here for glass repair in the past! The service has declined a bit... The work was good, but my vehicle was a mess when done! (Had to vacuum myself) and they would not be straight with me about an estimated time!! I literally lost Over Half my day! Which was critical to me today! Sounded like they guy beside me had the same issue!! They took sp long but wouldnt be straight with either of us! Disappointed Jacks...!
Family owned, 50 years in the business and clearly shows their expertise!! Not only my rear window was a perfect match and extremely priced well, they installed in a timely manner. I even recommended a friend that was selling one of his cars in good running condition and he received top dollar from Jacks. I shopped around to 4 other places in the area and landed here with confidence. These guys by far are the best around!!
I had a appointment for 11 on Saturday. They were prompt and professional. At 1pm they told me the replacement window had a chip so they ordered another window, no fault of there own. They bought pizza and fed the entire waiting room at lunch time. Price was excellent
My Cruze was broken into and the passenger window was smashed while I was visiting Philly. I needed it repaired that day and they were the only place around that was able to do it. Did a great job, and they tried to vacuum a lot of the glass out of the car as well. Trip got back on track in a timely manner thanks to them. It was also much cheaper than the estimate. Thanks so much.
Down side from our visit today was time there was little over 4 hrs even though we were third in line that checked in at 8am(smh, I know)...BUT the upside was the price was cheaper than anywhere we called. Work and windshield was good quality. So for the time headache its worth it. 5 stars if we didnt have to wait so long.
Had great experience at Jacks my window would not close or open, i thought it was going to be great expense. Took it to Jacks without appointment car was seen within 20 minutes, the mechanic came and got me show me the problem a broken bolt demonstrate the window going up and down and put door back together. I was soo surprised because they could have told me anything and i would have paid the cost. They were honest cheerful friendly and fast. I will tell my family friends about Jacks and will use in future.
Decent price just dont be in a hurry. I arrived at 730am waiting for them to open, even prepaid for the glass the day before. People who arrived after me were done before me. 2nd I appreciate that some people value their pets like family but I think customers should be warned that pets are roaming freely, seems unprofessional to me.
My primary issue is that they broke my door handle. I was having my drivers side window repaired. It needed a new regulator. They did the job at a fair price and prior to receiving the part they even propped the window up to eliminate further break-ins which was appreciated. The problem, however, occurred when I went to collect my vehicle. They said to me that the handle was broken on the drivers side door inside and would not open the vehicle and that it was like that when it was received. That claim was absolutely garbage. I exited out of that door less than two hours prior when I brought it in and had never once had any issue. Then they proceeded to work on it and just tell me oh it was like that. if that were the case why would they not address it before doing anything so I would acknowledge the issue and remove liability? The fact is they worked on that door/window and after the fact the interior handle no longer functioned. They broke it. I wouldnt even be the type to make a fuss or anything if they simply took responsibility and told me to bring it back another day for them to fix. But they completely neglected to take any responsibility for their carelessness. No wonder they had such a low rating. If they spent less time pissing and moaning and throwing temper tantrums at one another like toddlers they could probably accomplish much more satisfactory work, or perhaps not work while angry and break off handle mechanisms in their frustration.
The worst experience ever. They did not do what they said they would do.i have a 2019 Honda Civic and I went to replace one of my broken side mirror. My side mirror has a camera attached, and told me I would need to go to my dealership to buy the mirror myself. They said they would install the mirror for me, for 30$. While I was at the dealership, I called them to double check and let them know they would need to run the camera through a computer in order to fix the camera. The guy who answer the phone was so sure about this, he kept telling me that bring the mirror in we do it for you for $50, I asked him are you sure? He was like what did you mean I am sure? Bring it. After they done with my car, the mirror is on but the camera doesn’t work at all, I went back there and ask someone go check see if can help, but no one helps me, all they said is the mirror is moving upside down, left and right, so they said they are done their work. If you just putting the mirror and doesn’t help with the camera for me why are you charged me $50 dollars instead $30. If you wouldn’t promise that you can do it, I will just got my mirror done in the Honda dealership, instead going back and forth.
They installed a convertible on my car and when they were done the car leaked and the window rattle loudly. I returned it to them to be fixed and they say nothing was wrong. I sue them in small claims court and won! They have not paid me in over a month and now I have to go to the sherriffs office to force them to pay me my money. Needless to say this has been the worst experience with any business that in my 65 years on earth that I have ever dealt with.
Took my SUV to get a new windshield and they scratched up the paint removing old windshield .they covered it up with tape and told me not to remove it for a day or so. It was because they scratched the paint and covered it with tape and didnt want me to see it until I got home 50 miles away. Make sure that you check your car completely before you leave.
When youre looking for auto parts or you had a problem with you cars windshield or windows Jacks Auto Glass will fix a broken window or windshield for half the price of your car dealer. Tough economic times call for creative measures. Check out Jacks before you throw away your doe.
Straight up destroyed my window. Had to pay somebody else $150 to fix it came off the tracks destroyed the rubber. Exactly 12 months after I got it fixed this happened called them and they pretty much said get bent. Pay the extra money and go to Safelite. My window is still not working right. How to replace my windshield they came out paid A little bit extra got it done in a half an hour hundred percent right guaranteed for life instead of sitting in Jacks garbage wait room with garbage customer service
Breakdown:Pros - Quick service, Nice People at front deskCons - Mediocre work, untrustworthyI had my car broken into one morning before heading back to Virginia. I needed quick service but no one could do the work on the same day. Jacks was nice enough to offer an alternative solution by putting a plastic over the window. The front desk people were nice.I had 3 doughnuts in the back seat to eat on the car ride back with my girlfriend. When I got back to my car 2 of them were missing and I know they were taken once I gave them the car. Now doughnuts arent a big deal but their lack of concern of taking anything without asking is unacceptable (I would have let them have it if they had asked). I came to them in a time of need right after getting my car broken into and they took advantage of that. Makes me wonder what else they wouldnt mind taking.Now as for their work, it was quick but on the way back home it started to rip apart. I had to pull over twice to duck tape it back together.All in all, if you need work done fast you can come here but make sure to hide anything valuable (and invaluable as well I guess) just in case. The work should hold up until you can get it done better.
The person at the front desk quickly searching what I was looking for on the database. I was the third in line, as there were already two customers in front of me. Nevertheless, in less than 15 minutes the rep. found they did not have the parts I was looking for, and suggested /recommended several businesses around the block, which I then went to and got the spare parts I wanted.
I had a great experience getting repairs done to my windshield, driver side window as well as the passenger rear window. I admit it did take some time to do the work, but the guys were very helpful and explained my options after checking things out. All in all, I left satisfied with the work done and in good time to make in to work on time which made the experience even better. Im going to go back for some tint work soon. And definitely would reccomend this place for those needing window repair.S/O to Ron who was the guy who worked on my vehicle and who answered all my questions and concerns as well as provided me with sensible options.
Jacks was absolutely perfect! I just moved to the city a few months ago, and unfortunately had my car broken into and a window shattered. They stayed late to allow me to drop my car off after work, stayed with my till my uber arrived, and gave me a clear and direct quote and the time it would take to complete the work. They had the most competitive price, safelite wanted double the amount I was charged at Jacks! Its safe to say I will be going back to Jacks for any work I need done on my car.
The worst ever. Was told it takes two hours to replace the window and it has now been almost four hours and what did they tell me, it’s going to be another 30 minutes at least. Yes I’m still here! I will never use them nor refer them to anyone EVER! By the way they are closed for the day and just about everyone but the mechanic and the cashier is here. A disappointment!
Very bad experience. I went there to replace my car battery. The repair man was unexperienced probably. While he was replacing the battery something short circuit happened and smoke came out from the car. The broke the electricity circuit and blaming me that my car was not good. I will not recommend anyone to go there.
I would rate them with no stars if possible. I called and asked for a quote for a 1995 Audi S6 Avant rear hatch glass, and the guy tells me the car doesnt exist and insists there is no 1995 Audi S6 Avant. I explain that its a rare car and does not come up in some systems butthat the glass is the same as 1996 A6 Avant rear glass. He refuses to listen or look up a 1996 A6 glass and insists that I am confused about the year of my car and ask if its a quattro. I tell him that they are all quattros (which all S6s are). He then tells me they are not all quattros without knowing anything about the model and hangs up the phone.
5 star business because the wind shield was put in on Sunday almost impossible. (But!!!!!) They promise it wont leak but the dont promise that it will be installed correctly does that make sense my wind shield sits higher then the seal that goes around it took 6 hours to get finished If i could do 6 more hours i would of to it back hard to write a review when they wonder people to deal with
After ordering my glass on yesterday I was told I could comeback and get my window replaced the next day so I made an appointment for 9am only for my glass not to be in and I finally was done at 2:00pm, no one ever said anything, until I asked what was going on then they acted like I was annoying them. I guess you pay for what you get the cats is all over the place cat hair is everywhere. Never again .
There work is great,,,,its the best price in this city that you will probably get,,,but I got in there at 8:30 because he told me the day before to get there early so you could get in line, the windshield wasnt going to get there until 10:30,,,so Saturday morning I get there 8:30 and there was a line in front of me about 10 people before me. Well I waited there, I didnt get out of there until 4::00,,,I should of went home if I knew it was gonna take that long. If you go there go later when the crowd is gone,,,,but there work is good, I do highly recommend them if you need glass work.
I waited for over six hours to get my windshield replaced (including several hours after the windshield had arrived at the shop). Should have taken my keys back and left. I got there in the early afternoon, being told I could wait for an hour or two. I ended up being the last job of the day, after many other customers had come and gone. By the time they got to my car it was well after closing time, dark, and a snowstorm was coming in. The technician was clearly rattled, downing sodas and cigarettes. They mounted the windshield off-center, left adhesive in big clumps along the side, mounted the mouldings incorrectly, and left stains and scratches on the interior pillars. They also scraped the paint down in the moulding channels, making the car vulnerable to rust. There were several people behind the counter doing little more than scowling and berating customers.I understand they were unexpectedly busy, but if you go here, youre getting your glass replaced at a junkyard, and they dont let you forget it.
NEVER AGAIN! JACKs AUTO GLASS is the worst place ever! Dont understand how they are still in business! My Toyota Tacoma had a door window replaced. Absolutely the sloppiest work and non professional personnel Ive EVER seen. They broke my door clips, inner door panel had a dry wall screw (through the metal) holding it on, they removed my moisture barrier (found out when it rained), my radio was turned to a station I dont listen to with volume turned up very loud (not how I lefted it) and they never vacuumed the broken glass out of my door. When I returned to tell them about the glass rattling around in the door, they said (without looking at it) the vacuum wouldnt fit. Cant believe I paid money to for this service. You get what you pay for. I paid too much!
Horrible unprofessional people at the front desk and dishonest on there quotes. Nasty cats walking all around. Dont go here for windshield. Poor quality service. Molding is broken and window doesnt completely fit. What made it worse was that I was recommended by them.
I purchased a new windshield with this company the installment is secure and satisfactory however they failed to put my stickers on the new windshield. My stickers were still taped to a piece of the broken glass that was left in my car. I brought this to their attention before leaving the establishment. One of the guys stated that stickers are not reapplied to a new windshield according to PA law; & I must get the car reinspected or go to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle to retrieve new stickers..Well I called Harrisburg and they stated that my stickers should have been reapplied to the windshield as long as they were not expired or fake. In which they are non of the following. So in retrospect; this company did not complete the job at all and caused me just as much inconvenience as replacing the windshield in the first place.
Price was very reasonable. They ordered the wrong window twice for my work truck and installed the wrong shade of tint right next to a much darker window and then tried to convince me that they dont make that shade for that particular window on my truck but they do make it for all the others!!!
I called to ask if they could get parts or if they have parts for 2016 chrysler 200 but b4 I could finish a sentence I was told no even b4 I could ask a question... so i will not spend my here nor would I want to with service like this.... no thank u I was goinv to inquire abt the tinting but no thank u now
The people at the desk, very nice and friendly. The young men who went and got the rim for my Jeep, brought us back to make sure we got a matching rim was very helpful. Would go back there again. Loved the cats, couldnt believe how much food they order to feed even the stray ones, how nice is that.
I brough my g37 to Jacks auto glass to get the windshield replace. The price is decent but the work is sloppy, not professional. The guy broke my roof pillar molding and dings up the paint. The worse part they are not responsible for the broken molding. All they did were clued the piece together. Now, there is a crack line on the molding. I shouldve taking it to the dealer to get it done. Not recommend!!!
Crooks, the whole lot of them!!! I knew to get my car out of there the minute I saw the first item on the estimate. $600 for aftermarket headlights that I paid $250 for. If I, an individual, had presented that to my insurance company I would be prosecuted for insurance fraud. Avoid!!! Avoid!!! Avoid!!!!!!!
Extremely rude people, they will walk away while youre talking to them. The people in the front desk are really the most rudest people i have ever came across. Came here for a windshield replacement and they broke my rear view mirror and told me it was my fault and it was already broken when I brought in the car. Will never return here for any sort of business, will encourage others to pick another business where they respect customers and dont rob or break their things.
Surprisingly this place does amazing business and I say surprisingly because it is just off a really hazardous intersection and you really have to know we are going to go there but they have everything youre looking for I needed a side mirror for an older car and I looked all over for it I just happened to find them and they said yes they have it another lie do they have it they installed it within like 20 minutes the prices were really reasonable a lot lower than I could get it anywhere else if I found it the people are friendly there and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs anything done Auto Glass wise mirror wise things of that sort
Horrible and slow service with stinking nasty dirty gross cats EVERYWHERE!!! It took 4 for my car to be worked on i got there 3rd i was waiting in line at 7:55 it was 3 hours of waiting and 1 hour to put in my regulator...extremely rude staff people were showing up way after me getting their cars worked on before me. NEVER GO HERE STAY AWAY!!!!!
The worst customer service ever. They talk to people very rude and because they got caught in a few lies and was confronted for being rude by turning their back on someone that is talking to them, they tell you to leave and take your business somewhere else. I would give them 0 stars if I could
Where do I begin.It was hands down the worst car related experience of my life.First off,im an 8month pregnant woman and I had a 3yr old with me.First we get there at 8:30am thinking we could get outta there at a reasonable time.The whole time,i watched them sneak people by me with more expensive cars that naturally were getting more expensive jobs done.Then around 12:00pm they finally puuled my car in the bay.A lil while later they pull the car out and tell me their done.I went to inspect the work they did and I quickly realized that they didnt even put the rubber seal on the top of the glass and there was some damage to the paint,apparently cause by the tool they use to remove the old glass.Naturally,I complained about it to the boss,the huge guy sitting at the desk answering phones.He mad the employee bring the car back in the bay and do it correctly.It put primer on the damaged part so that it wouldnt rust underneath the seal and he then put the rubber seal on.I was a bit uncomfortable but I figured they rectified the problem,so I was feelin better.I paid my balance and went on my way.I get about a couple miles on the expressway and all of a sudden,a vehicle that has never overheated the entire 3yrs ive owned the vehicle,all of a sudden started steaming.I pulled on the shoulder and popped the hood and the engine coolant was just gushing out of the radiator.I manage to eventually limp off of the expressway and made a b line for my trusted mechanic,the only person I even allow to open my hood.After a brief inspection,he was confident that this hole in my radiator was no coincidence!It was very confident that my vehicle had been sabotaged!Si I went from spending $170.00 for new glass and was now spending $400.00 on a new radiator.I was devastated to say the least.I even tried calling Jacks auto glass and telling the boss the{huge guy} what my mechanic believed happen.And of course he simply said NO WAY!My employee would never do such an under handed thing.Wich I was not surprised to hear.Im due any day now and im jus glad I didnt go into labor on the shoulder of the expressway,i dont know what I would have done.I would strongly suggest NEVER go to Jacks auto glass,ecspecially if you like your vehicle and care about the quality of workmanship that goes into your vehicle.And if you do get some work done that your not happy with,for the sake of your SANITY and the sake of your WALLET.PLEASE DONT SAY ANYTHING!!!Just leave and take your vehicle to someone else.If you do complain,be prepared.the employees will take REVENGE upon you,via your vehicle.They ruined my entire weekend,i had to explain to my 3yr old why he couldnt go to chucky cheese.Ugh! It was the WORST CAR EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!
Jacks Auto Glass continues to be an important member the Philadelphia community. Woke last weekend to find significant cracking in my windshield. Called Jacks Wednesday afternoon, set appointment for Thursday morning, they had my glass ready, minimum wait time, professional installation, excellent service all around, and, very important, competitive pricing that beats the competitors. This was not my first time using this business satisfactorily, I am sure it will not be my last time if and when I need them. Thanks Jacks Auto Glass.

2022-04-07The price to replace my passenger side window was great! The craftsmanship as far as installation was good. My car wasnt left dirty or anything.Now... The 5 or more cats roaming freely inside the place produced a cat spray smell that I could smell through two face masks. One customer without a mask said that the smell was burning her nostrils.The customer service was interesting to say the least. Not rude, not overly accommodating just there. If you are not allergic to cats and you are not searching for stellar customer service, just a decent price then this is the place for you.

2022-09-15Do not purchase anything from this thief. I purchased a battery from him he charged me a $15 core charge and is now refusing to refund the core charge even though I have my receipt. Hes trying to take advantage of me because of the fact that I am in a wheelchair and he thinks he can get over and just keep this extra money. Hes done this to other people and I am looking to have an attorney file this as a federal class action for everyone involved. If you have been taking advantage of or you know anybody has been taking advantage of have them contact me and you can be a named individual in the lawsuit and obtain much more than what he stole from you. He responds about their excellent customer service if they had customer service theyd have given me the lousy $15 dollars and saved me from having to go into district court and Sue them over it which is gonna cost them 20 times what he tried to steal off of me they dont care about customer service and they dont care about their customers or he would honored the agreement to refund my core charge when I returned to the old battery.

2022-06-08The staff was ok. However this location sie ,Has a foul ( Animal-Cat) odor inside this location. This business really need to clean this inside place thoroughly for the interest of there customers, There chairs that the customers sit on too wait for there car to be service is dity and very order from the cats sitting and lying on the chairs. This place stinks.

2022-08-18Waiting area too small crowded smelled of cat urine because of the 7 or 8 cats sitting up on the counter where you have to check in! Do good work but will never go there again.

2021-09-18I have cheap on my windshield. Went there and I’m surprised after they done with it. To me seems the job not done. The open bussines for long time they should know better how take care the customers.so i went back inside and spoke with the guy on front desk… thats the best we can do.. they can’t do 100% job done but they will charge customers 100% must pay. Hope the owner can see it. And address their worker how to handle well customers services.

2022-05-23Needed a new drivers side mirror and they put one on that I bought online for 40 bucks. No none sense vibe from reception yet there were two big fat fuzzy wuzzy cats are just traipsing about. The body work mechanic also quoted me the lowest price for some body damage. I found the whole experience quite charming.

2022-05-06Jacks got my glass replaced the day after I called and at about $100 less and a week quicker than the big name shop. They also cleaned every speck of broken glass out of my trunk. Thank you!
