This place was delicious. I had the lumberjack special, which had more food than appropriate for one person and for less than $9. The toast was thick, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The potatoes were well seasoned and cooked, and the pancakes hit all the right notes in terms of taste and texture. The service was excellent, even now I regret leaving only a 20 percent tip. I highly recommend this place.
We were driving through town on vacation and stopped for breakfast. What a find!! Great breakfast and service! Regina was so nice and friendly. We felt like regulars even though it was our first time there. We left with full stomachs and a bag of cookies for the rest of our trip. If you want great food and friendly service this is definitely the place to go.
They serve the best breakfast in Bradford PAPaPa scoops recommend it to usAnd John Williams European pastry shope did not disappointThere food is so good my husband had the pancakes which were awesomeI had eggs, homefries and baconBest breakfast Ive had in a long time will be going back next trip
It was a nice atmosphere, friendly people. We stopped in for lunch after dropping off our child at the college. The food was great. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger w/fries and it was very good. My wife ordered the three cheese grilled cheese w/ bacon and tomato and cup of french onion soup (excellent). We sat out on the patio. It was clean, comfortable and nice music. The staff was friendly and attentive. Again, a great atmosphere, very relaxing. Will definitely be returning. Oh and the pastrys are amazing. The price was good too!
After several years of going regularly Ive had to edit my review. The service here has gone down hill. The servers have become so unfriendly and unwelcoming that Ive stopped going. This used to be the friendly hometown diner but the atmosphere has completely changed. They continually raise the prices while letting the service and food quality slide. I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.
What a great restaurant and bakery! Today I had the best veggie omelette and home fries. They added all the veggies I wanted to both the omelette and home fries. The service was amazing! The waitresses are courteous and kind! The waitress who cared for me made sure my coffee cup never was empty! The baked goods are great! I make it a point to drive over from Eldred just to get the baked goods. I’m always pleased with the freshness of the baked goods! This is a great place to relax, read, pray and enjoy a nice meal. Blessings from Jim Cannistraci 🙏
We went their for breakfast yesterday and today. Food is prepared fresh for you breakfast foods are wonderful their. Meals are nice eyes very fresh. Coffee very good flavor they always brewing fresh pots no stale coffee at all. Waitresses extremely pleasant friendly. It is a small town restaurant with a unbelievable friendly wonderful atmosphere I recommend this place to eat for anyone prices are very very good food is very good portions good size. Tell the waitress Mariah and Regina that Lou said to say Hi. And if you see my World War II friend of 95 years of age Bob tell him I said hello
So happy that we stumbled upon this place! Coffee was delicious and our breakfast was even better. Really reasonable prices and so worth the value. Only thing I regret is not buying more baked goods/pastries before we left. We had a cinnamon strudel that was so so good. Also - the waitresses were so lovely!
Stopped by here and his weekend. Honestly, I cant remember enjoying any better pastries. Apple strudel: awesome. Raspberry poppy seed croissant: unbelievable. Raspberry stick: amazing. The biscotti were also tremendously satisfying. Stop here and leave with your taste buds blown away.
This is a great place to stop for breakfast/lunch. Their fresh baked goods are some of the best that youll ever have, and you can tell that they make everything on premises. You get a sense of community here, like the waitresses know most of the people who come in. It has a cozy feel, and is willing to accept campers from local sites for a meal.
We had a small gathering for my moms 83rd birthday today. The food was excellent, the prices excellent, portion size very generous and our server, Beth was wonderful and fun. The Birthday cake we ordered was beautiful and delicious! Many thanks for a great experience!
This was my first time here & probably my last. i had high expectations from reading reviews & ended up having a stressful experience. younger woman working at the counter severely overcharged us, when we pointed out her mistake she “corrected it” making a ~$.30 difference. told us soup came with the sandwich we ordered at no extra cost, which evidently isn’t true since we got charged. 2 stars because the food was alright
The place was mostly empty when we arrived, yet we had to hail a waitress for menus. The food took 45 minutes to get to our table, half of each meal was cold like it had been sitting for a long time, not a trace of warmth. Otherwise, there was plenty of food and it looked pretty good. Pretty disappointing. Not like it used to be.
This authentic bakery and cafe is the real deal. We met the owner/baker and toured his kitchen. You will find grilled sandwiches and homemade chicken salad and delicious just baked pastries and cookies. No frills, clean, good prices and homemade food. So glad we stumbled upon John Williams pastry shop on our trip south.
My wife surprised me with this place as I am from out of town and love pastries but am always complaining about the lack of such shops in this area. Well I was pleasantly surprised, taste was on point, selection whilst not huge was more than I expected, staff was very friendly. All in all a wonderful experience and I am sure I will be back especially for the breakfast which I was told about.
My husband & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Glendorn...They had our cake made at John Williams...I cant begin to tell you how delicious & how beautifully decorated it was....it was a complete blessing.Thank you so much to John Williams European Pastry Shop:)Susan & Ted Cataldi
I have to give BIG Kudos to our waitress yesterday morning. 8 of us attending the car cruise stopped in for breakfast. the women sat at one booth , hubbys at another. So we had to tell her who belonged with who when ordering....Poor thing. haha..She did SUPER, we all got the right order and the bills were done right.. Great server, and so sorry I didnt get her name.....I feel bad.. This was around 8 a.m. THANKS for good service and good food!!
We were here visiting a relative and decided to stop in to buy some cookies to take for the kids. They had these cute ones decorated with icing to look like monster faces so we settled on those figuring they were cute for kids. At $1.79 a piece I expected them to be good bakery quality cookies. We got to the house and were very disappointed to find that the icing was so dried out that it just crumbled and slide right off the cookie all over the floor. The cookie itself was just OK but nothing to write home about. I guess I just expected that paying almost $2 a cookie that they would be made fresh each morning. We were there before noon so its not even like it was late in the day. I wont be going back and my relative who lives up here said she wont be trying anything from there either based on our experience.
Every year I call and order a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for my mom for Mothers Day. They have an excellent price, excellent customer service, and they deliver them to her home for me since Im in CA. Great job John Williams! Id love if you had a website and an online menu, I might order things all year...

2020-12-06This is a wonderful treasure in the heart of Bradford, PA. The food and the coffee were excellent, as was the waitress. You really need to give this place a try. You can dine in or take out. They have their tables spaced out to ensure social distancing. And dont forget to check out the baked goods!! You wont be disappointed!!
