Spending the day at Gettysburg will not be complete without visiting this place, especially if you have kids. after all the statues and the wars museum and battlefields. This is a good place to end your trip. My kids loves walking around, they have a few other animals aside from the little horses. We love the 30 minutes show. If you have to drive 2 hours to go back home then this place should be your last stop. You can sit outside and relax for a little bit while your kids walk around or you leisurely walk with them. They have pony ride for the kids for $5, very reasonable. They also have a gift shop and a tiny snack bar where you can buy some refreshment before heading home. Place is clean and staffs were very friendly.
My daughter had a blast. It was a little over price $5 for me to take a picture of my daughter with the unicorn with my own phone that is a little to much. I understand that you got to make money to take care of everything around their. But it does look like the place is falling apart. The good thing about the place is that they are taking great care of the animals that I can see.
Five stars isn’t enough of a rating for this place, they deserve more. This was a first time experience for my son and myself. It was the perfect place to spend the day with my boy. He slept the entire ride home. I do want to give an extra thank you the ladies in the gift shop that were entertaining my son while I paid for our souvenirs. Of course I was by myself with a bouncing, very excited, and rambunctious 2 year old boy. I wish I wld have gotten the name of the young lady that helped me coax my son out to my car to go home. I wish I wld have gotten all of their names they were beyond fantastic. Today is July 13 2021 I was the mom with the little boy Ben, that had a excellent speech for a 2 year old. Please thank these ladies personally for me there help was much appreciated!! Will definitely be back again!!!
Such a charming gem of a place to take our pony/animal/unicorn obsessed 4yos. When my daughter walked into the park and saw a pony roaming freely, her head nearly exploded. She said, This is the best place ever!I loved how reasonably priced everything was too. We didnt get any of the packages and there was no pressure to do so. We purchased ala carte - $5 for a pony ride and $5 for a photo (that you take yourself) with a unicorn. Another review mentioned that $5 was expensive for a photo, but Id love to know where theyre finding anything cheaper at any theme park or farm. Having just come from Hershey World where the cheapest (terrible) photo taken on a ride cost $25, this was a bargain. Concessions were also very affordable relatively speaking - $2 hotdogs and $3 root beer floats. And to top it all off everyone was just so kind and friendly, you could tell how much they cared about the animals here. The park is big enough without being overwhelming - its really the perfect size for little kids. Lots of green space, a small playground, and so many animals (including the sweetest kitty) to touch and feed. Plus the vibe is very chill and laid back with no lines to wait in. My kids were in heaven, especially when they took photos with Mystic the unicorn - they have talked of nothing else since. Animal-loving Mama was also in total bliss and may have squealed louder than her kiddos upon seeing all the cute animals. So glad we found this place.
Not what I was expecting, but go and have a good time. I saw this on Kate Plus 8 and thought it would be a great time for the kids. I love that it is family owned and not controlled by some huge company. We were able to do some mining, some pony rides, and watched the little horse show. It was reasonably priced and didn’t spend the entire afternoon there, so that’s always a plus.
Not our first visit to this delightful place. Went on Labor Day as they offered free admission for everyone. Animals are well cared for, many roaming freely. My 6 year old fed all manners of livestock, went on a pony ride, watched pig races and saw a Unicorn. Ive read poor reviews for this place and dont understand why. This place is wonderful and the staff is quite engaging and pleasant. We arrived 15 before they opened and had no issues.
Gotta bring the kids here! The show was so much fun and they loved the little horses! Your cam also walk around and feed the horses and goats. Everyone was really friendly. We will definitely be back!Update: we went back almost a year later. The granddaughter loved it even more! Saw things we didnt see last time. Were going to make this a family tradition.
Our first trip here. Not disappointed. Wonderfully interactive especially for small children. Our 5 year old granddaughter was able to feed and pet nearly every horse as well as the other animals. She was very excited to see the unicorn and have her picture taken with it. Entrance fee and souvenir prices were reasonable.
My 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son really enjoyed this. In addition to the horse barns and farm animal pens, there are also miniature horses and alpacas that roam freely among the visitors. Fun western themed playground, although would have been nicer if more in the shade. Entertaining show. Pricey, although you save a few bucks on admission with AAA discount.
I took my kiddos on one of the hottest days of the summer! Fun place to take the kids. The show in the arena was full of terrible puns... So of course I loved it! The boys enjoyed feeding the horses and the goats. We each found a horse that was the same age we were. I personally enjoyed locking my boys up in the prison. 😉 They enjoyed the horse ride. This place is showing its age and is a bit kitschy, but still a fun way to spend the day.
Seeing the miniature horses, goats, alpacas, emus , etc is very fun and inviting. The “Mane Event” show is also entertaining and worth the cost of admission. (Your girls will love the unicorn). The staff are very welcoming and care about the customer experience. But they are not constantly trying to up sell.Go conservative in buying feed cups. One cup of feed would be enough for 5-10 people to have fun with.
My child loved it. Seeing a real unicorn made her day. Getting to touch a real unicorn made her life complete. There is so much to do. We had a blast. Thank you for the awesome experience. It was my daughter first time riding a horse. She was a real pony sitter for a day.
This visit was amazing for the whole family. My wife and our 2 yr old daughter have never touched, pet, brushed, kissed or even hugged a horse til today. The look of amazement on their faces made for a life time of beautiful memories.Thank You Land of Little Horses , we will definitely return.
Took my son who is 3 1/2. He had a blast loved seeing and petting all the animals that were roaming free in the park, and feeding the others as well. So glad I found this little gem tucked back in the woods. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well. The only thing that could be a problem is if you have a child with a fear of bees. In the spring (when we went) there were a lot of large wood bees at all the buildings and barns. They were not aggressive but very obvious if you have a fear of bees.
Absolutely love this place. Its clearly meant for young children, but Im 30 and my friend and I LOVED IT! So many animals to pet and feed, lots of space to move around so you arent constantly tripping over children. There are some free roaming animals around the park as well. I loved the show each time Ive gone. Super cute and entertaining. The animals seem so well taken care of and they trained animals seem to have fun performing.I love this place and ended up buying a good bit of cute merchandise so I can have a conversation starter to tell everyone about how cool this place is.
Had a great time, paths are mostly paved was pretty easy to get a stroller around. The animals were very passive and calm. Allowed to be petted and fed endlessly. Lots of nice activities for younger kids. Staff was attentive and helpful with our questions. Not sure if my daughter or her aunt enjoyed it more but definitely worth the trip to go again.
We have heard about this place and our daughter loves unicorns. We went to this place and I thought it was going to be a cheesy place. We walked in and the first thing we got greeted by was a free roaming mini pony. That literally followed us around for more food that was so cool I have never seen anything like that. They have pig races which were really cute. They had a dance party for the kids followed by Amazon event show with a dog, mini ponies an llama and a horse. Afterwords we went down to western town and went on a wagon ride and then we went mining for minerals well worth it. Before leaving Western town my daughter and I got locked in the town prison and my daughter broke us out and we made a run for it from the deputy my wife.We finished our visit by walking through the stable that had little babies they had a colt that was only two weeks old. This was by far the best experience. The staff was amazing the place was clean and well maintained. I absolutely would recommend visiting this place. I honestly think there were times I was having more fun than my 4 yo.
Perfect place to take your little one for a few hours. They have many things to keep them busy. The horses and goats walking around were great for our 1.5 year old daughter. She did the mining for gems, pony ride, watched the pig races and fed all the animals. It took about 2 hrs for her to get tuckered out. Price was reasonable too. People running it were very cordial and friendly. Would return!
We took our two year old little girl here and had such a great time! The staff were very friendly and pleasant, there were all kinds of animals to pet and feed treats to, the grounds were exceptionally clean, and prices were very affordable! You can easily spend the day here because there are cute little shows, train ride, and wagon rides and of course so many animals to see! We have been to many zoos and this by far was our favorite place!!Highly recommend!!
First time visiting today, and my 7 year old loved it! So did I! I love the free roaming animals that just come right up to you ! The animals are so sweet and well cared for, and the staff was great as well. We will absolutely be coming back really soon! Thank you for the great experience!
This place is absolutely adorable! We had such a good time taking our child here as a sweet little end to our vacation. Id like to first point out, as someone who has grown up around farm animals, it was wonderful to see how well-treated and cared for the animals were. What was even more impressive was how genuinely kind all the staff was. I didnt encounter one person with a negative or forced positive attitude; you could tell everyone here LOVED their job and really cared for the animals. The staff is also very patient, taking time to connect with the children who visit to not only entertain them, but to TEACH them how to properly treat animals. We were just so impressed, we know this is a place we will visit every time we are in the area. Best for children ages 2-9, but even older kids can really find something to enjoy here, and parents will really appreciate the experience. Highly recommended!
Awesome place for the kiddos! Friendly, caring staff along with well mannered animals. I really wish they would improve the entrance process. The person behind the register has to explain to every dingle person the fees and addons. Probably a good idea to put up signs on the walls, at the entrance to the building, etc so that people know what to buy/chose.
I was really torn between 2 and 3 stars. We visited today. They have an amazing gift store!! It is a very cute farm where many of the horses roam freely. Feed cups are affordable and all of the animals enjoyed it. I paid $5 for a unicorn photo. While the horse was adorable I did assume it would be a printed photo not on my cell phone. The train ride was over priced but part of the experience. While there are lots of signs about the weight limit of the horses I would recommend to use their scale if it is close. I weighed the kids at home before we went and they were under the limit. There they were both one pound over. The animal ring leader made such a scene about the kids being over weight that it was downright disrespectful. They did exchange my ride tokens for credit at the gift store. The mining area was my favorite part. Minus the ring leader it was not a horrible day.
I have lived in the area my whole life and visited with my kids for the first time today. This is such a fun place. My kids loved the shows and the close interaction with the horses. It really is an affordable, fun day., even the souvenirs in the gift-shop are budget friendly. Thank you for making my daughters birthday memorable
Wonderful Experience!!! My son, husband and his parents had the most amazing time there today! The show was awesome they have alot of talented animals!! Most of the animals roamed free around the farm it was really something to see. We loved every minute of feeding all the horses, goats and even lama. Wagon ride was absolutely beautiful and serene. My son got to ride on a pony for the first time! The most incredible part of all was that you could tell all the workers including the host of the show really loved animals ❤ and that really showed! A must to stop and visit with your children!!!
Went over the weekend to see what the land of the little horses was all about. My daughter and I had a blast. Seeing all the ponys, the horses, sheep, goats, lamas and a camels. She got to ride a pony. She also got to ride the train. They also have a hay ride. I would really recommend coming down to see the land of the little horses.
I didn’t like how the llama didn’t want to perform and they kept forcing him. And it’s stuck in a circle 7 days a week from open to close like the lady said rain or shine. And the poor camel needs to be taken care of more. Then they have donkeys left in the stables, I forgot her name but the one from 1995 had a eye infection, and she still had to be locked in that stable today like that. Don’t get me wrong it was fun but you can tell when an animal is being taken care of and from what I saw they’re barely making the minimum requirements. They have people feeding them pellets all day and I rarely saw people giving them some fresh water. At least leave them some food out and give a little more hay for the donkeys to lay on. It’s just sad to me how people turn their head for amusement. It’s just okay to whip animals to fulfill our happiness. It’s so sad. If a animal doesn’t want to do something they shouldn’t. You should have a plan b. Give the animals more freedom. I’m disgusted to say I went here today seeing how these animals are treated and taken care of.
Cute little hidden gem in PA. There are so many miniature horses and goats to feed. Theres even a couple camels and a llama. The feed cups are $5, or you can keep refilling the cup for $2.50. The best part is that you can feed the animals as much as your heart desires. A good bit of the animals are free roaming around the park! Theres also a gift shop and food place. :D
My friend and I decided to take our children here today as it looked like an adorable place for the little ones to enjoy. I paid $40 for myself, toddler, and my 6 yr old. My friend paid $60 for herself, and her two daughters 6yr old and 10 yr old. We chose to do all the activities. We arrived at 2:30pm. The girl that sold us our tickets actually talked us into the activities NOT mentioning that we had to be gem mining before 3. We lost out doing that and when we went to go for the wagon ride at 3:19 (ends at 4pm) , the guy that was driving the tractor stated that he had to leave early and we weren’t allowed to do the wagon ride. So, we went to go have the kids ride the ponies. I asked the one girl if they hold onto the kids while riding. As it was very rocky where the pony rides were. She stated yes. My son got right on and didn’t even get half way around the circle and he fell off due to the harness wasn’t on right, it slid to the side. I felt like this first experience was not a great one due to the employees. I went and explained everything to the cashier and she stated she could only reimburse me $9 out of the $40 we paid. My friend was reimbursed only $6 out of the $60 she paid. Then the girl at the register stated she couldn’t reimburse our credit cards and we could only have store credit!!! I don’t like giving bad reviews but this was not a great first experience. The only thing great about this place is that the animals are well taken care of and super adorable.
I went here as a kid 20+ years ago, and was thrilled to take my own little boy for the first time. Sometimes, the places you love as a child disappoint when you see them through adult eyes, but thats not the case with Land of Little Horses. It was just as magical as I remember, and watching him walk right up to a tiny horse and giggle as she ate treats out of his hand is a memory Ill treasure. My only regret is that I didnt have room in my suitcase to buy a Breyer horse to take home
Land of little horses was great and my two little girls loved it! They have friendly little horses walking around the grounds you can hand feed. They have other animals to feed as well such as goats, sheep and donkeys. The events were fun and started on time. The grounds arent huge so you dont have to walk miles or miles. Paved paths make it easy for small kids or strollers. We spent 3.5 hours doing all the events, looking through the extensive gift shop and having lunch at the Cafe. The pony rides, gem mining and feed cups were worth the money. We will definitely recommend LOLH to friends!
The animals and enclosures were super clean. The play area was clean. The pony ride was a bit short only two circuts around a small ring but was fun for our 5 year old. He loved the dance party before the show in the arena and he loved the horse show and especially the Unicorn! What a great place to take youngsters.
Staff is very friendly, patient, helpful, good with children (and adults). Picnic tables near entrance are nice to bring lunch. Cafe provides plenty of options to dine in a covered and enclosed area. We loved the additions of the pig race, people my zoo and the soon to be pedal car area. Keeping it fresh! The traditional arena show and open feel of the grounds feels like when we were kids.
Love this place!Although this is geared a little more towards children, our large group comprised of 7 adults and 4 children (ages 11, 10, 8 and 1.5) had an extremely wonderful time! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and the concession area had a good food selection and was very clean. I have been to several other farm style venues and this was the cleanest and most well cared for that Ive seen especially considering it was established in the early 70s. You can tell this owner cares about their animals and staff. The animals are all very sweet and gentle and very used to being touched and hand-fed. The pony rides were excellent and even my toddler was able to get on and safely have a ride. There are even several docile mini horses and an adorable sheep that roam freely on the property and approach for treats and petting! We participated in the hands-on grooming session which was SO fun! They also had a new wagon ride available that we did not take part in but plan to the next time we go. All the shows were well done and about 30 minutes in duration and adorable. You were really able to see the horses personalities. The unicorn Mystic, was a crowd favorite and you can have your picture taken with her after the show. Our group felt that the admission price was appropriate, especially after seeing how well the property and animals are taken care of.I will definitely be back next season!
My granddaughter and I visited Land of Little Horses in 2018, 2019 and now 2020. We saw many improvements this year. The shop with the ticket purchases moved to the entrance to the Land was a big improvement. Our Little Horse Greeter who raised his hoof after given a treat was so cute! We noticed the other little horses did the same. The addition of pig races was a great idea. Little Miss Sally, so adorable! Dance Party was a nice addition also. It would be great to see the employee dressed in a horse costume! Bunnies loose on the ground was a nice surprise. So much merchandise to chose from. My granddaughter got a Sherpa jacket and stuffed lamb. We had a very enjoyable visit! See you next summer! ❤️🐴🦄🐰
Been coming here since 2005. Wonderful establishment that shows the loving and friendly nature of miniature horses & horses in general. Free roaming ponies on the property, llamas, and a goat petting zoo! Beautiful, large barns and plenty of horses to pet and feed!I think they’re renovating due to some larger horse barns were closed. But other than that an adorable place to bring children & family.
This farm had a nice feel to it. The animals were happy and ao were the people caring for them. The place was clean and well run. The air conditioned main hall was a welcome break from the outdoor petting area. The gift shop was well stocked and typically priced. We only did the morning because it was naptime for our 21 month old, but he had a great time and so did we watching him.
My daughter and I went to the Land of Little Horses today August 14th. We had a blast! The shows were amazing and kept my kid happy. The horses are friendly and funny. All the stalls animal cages and fields were clean and the animals seemed happy. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to engage in conversation. The only small thing I would say that needs work is some parts of the walk path needs fixed and a little landscaping near one of the bird cages but other then that I was happy with everything. We will be back before you close this year and next year you better believe we will be buying a pass.Thank you for making my daughters day one she will never forget.
Very nice fun park. Free parking. Reasonable entry fees. Senior discount available. Show schedule spread out over the day. Eatery on property is clean and food Is freshly made to order. Prices very good and portions big. Hot dogs, burgers, pop corn and sandwiches with sodas available. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals. Trainer works very hard training several horses. Nice to see all their horses released to a large open field to graze and relax at the end of the day. Watch out and check your change when buying things as some staff not up to speed on handling cash. This attraction is recommended for young children. They also have pedal carts to use at no charge. Kids loved them. Had a nice day here.
Visited for the first time the other day with my 2 children. They are 10&4 and they both had a really great time (and me too!). It was big but not too big and they loved the little Western town. The horse show was just adorable. The restaurant had a full menu and it was CHEAP!! I was so surprised (pleasantly!)and the food was good! My only gripe was that it definitely was not air conditioned and there was no fan. It was so hot and stuffy in there!! Otherwise, a great way to spend a few hours!
The land of little horses is absolutely fantastic! Ive heard some complaints about the way that the animals are treated there, but they all seem very happy and well adjusted to me. If you have kids this place is perfect. Very safe but still offers the chance for a lot of interaction with the animals. The history is really interesting too. I strongly recommend checking it out.
I visited Gettysburg many times while my sister was in school and never knew this was there. With suggestions from other parents I decided to visit with my animal loving five year old. After reading their website I chose to do the morning visit from 10am -2pm. There are little horses as soon as you walk in, aka the welcoming committee. There are three horses who were walking around the grounds throughout the visit, they were VERY pleasant. We enjoyed the pig races, mining, main event show and pony ride.COVID-19....There is Zero social distancing and no mask enforcement. There are signs but it doesn’t make a difference. An announcement was made for masks to be worn during the show since we were inside but many people didn’t have them to put on. A sign should be on the entrance door before people enter stating this, at least people will be prepared. The bleachers have “x“ for seating but families have 2-4 people and there is no real staggering or 6ft distancing. They did wipe the saddles in between each rider for the pony rides. If you are not comfortable with the limited pandemic accommodations... I suggest staying outside or not going. They have two sets of bathrooms and a hand washing station next to the main stage. There is no sanitizer or hand hygiene station in Western town.StaffingThe have limited staffing and everyone has a specific role. There is no one you can go to if you need assistance. You have to interrupt someone from doing their role which disrupts the flow. Their female restroom was horrendous and I let them know but there was no one to immediately attend to that need. Another example, the mining water was low and the attendant asked another employee for help. He was too busy to assist her because he had another task to complete. She worked it out but it was disheartening that he blew her off. Overall, the staff was VERY friendly and very caring towards the animals.Extra cost.I purchased the extra package for (mining, food and pony ride) from the beginning. In western town there is a wagon ride that you have to purchase in the general store. I wish this was offered when I initially paid, it’s not a big deal but let me pay for everything at once. The photo with the Unicorn is an additional $5.00 for a picture you take with your phone. This is paid for up front and you’re given a token. The store has a TON of items, you will leave with an item or a crying child... it’s the test of wills. The day was beautiful and we had a good time. We’d definitely visit again!
This is my second time and I would say it wasn’t the best experience. Saw a young employee seemed like a teenager, I didn’t get her name but she was cursing out loud. I don’t know if she was aware of visitors walking around but she used racial slurs that I would say are not appropriate to be using around young children or anyone to be exact. I tried calling in about the situation but couldn’t reach any management. Overall would come back again to see the horses and animals but I would say needed improvement on staff and how they need to control their language.
Coming into the business was fine, everything went well until entering the cafe the staff was all kids, the kitchen wasnt wiped down doubtful of staff washing hands, our food order was wrong, food cold, and buns were moldy. So many violations to mention. Time for the health inspector to pay a visit. So, IF you go and its great for the kids AVOID THE CAFE. Pack a lunch and youll have a great time. The cafe ruined it for us.
2nd summer with season tickets- definitely worth the money! We go about once a week. The kids are always excited to go and sad to leave- they never tire of it because theres so much to do! Its super fun and a great way to get kids comfortable with animals and learn how to treat them well. Plus they love the playground, old west town, and sandboxes. The staff is super nice.
Bit disappointing, alot of the attractions are outdated and some dilapidated. Do to the heat everything was inside (which is underatandable) but the lines were long and no social distancing being enforced. All the animals were very nice and interactive. And the gift shop was nice and stocked with different items for all ages.
I had the best time here with my family this past weekend. I hadnt been here in 38 years and the improvements the newest owners Bill and Maggie have done have been amazing and they arent finished yet. :) There are no hidden rooms or back areas of the farm where you cant see behind the scenes. You get to see everything! That means you can see how well the animals are treated here. There are donkeys, emu, camel, peacocks, pigs, big horses and lest us not forget the little horses as well. They really take care of this place and its so refreshing to see how the staff really cares about these animals. I couldnt have had a better time!!!! Thank you Bill and Maggie and all the staff at LOLH. You helped me re-live a bit of my childhood and I am forever grateful!
Awesome for the whole family! The horsers and other animals on the farm are all well cared for and happy, there is a nice gift shop, and they have a clean snack area with reasonable prices, and a show that is magical for the kids! Highly recommend for a relaxing family outing.
Took the family to Land Of Little Horses and had a great day! We spent hours petting and loving all the animals. Saw the show and stopped to have the biggest, juiciest hot dogs ever. Caught the baby lambs being fed. Kids went on the horse ride and we visited the camel. All the animals looked so healthy and happy and the owners seemed so kind and knowledgeable . Its so hard to find a moment in life to just relax and enjoy. If your looking for great family fun with some of the cutest animals ever, this is the place!
THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL!!!! The horses and all the animals are great! They even have a day camp where kids can learn about horses. The shows are fun... you can interact with all the animals... and Ive never met a staff anywhere that is more pleasant and helpful. Every kid should come here... whether theyre 6 or 66!!!
For $80 for 3 adults and 2 kids, I would at least have expected a little bit more cleanliness and or attention to detail. The vibe I got from this place was very unsettling, I wouldnt bring my kids back if it was free.Side note if you read this and still decide to go bring your own hand sanitizer not a single station I saw had any. 🤢🤢
So if you come here and just walk through, youll be done in a few minutes. They have a schedule of the days events and I would recommend calling ahead and trying to time your arrival with the events that sound the best. I would say the arena show and the release of the horses at the end of the day would be the best things to try and experience. It would be quite a stretch to arrive at opening and stay until closing, and theres just not enough to occupy anyone but the most hardcore horse-lovers for ~7 hours.Admission is 16 adult, 14 Child, 12 toddler. Search Groupon for a discount, I was able to get in for much less. At the admission they will offer you a feed cup for $5. I would recommend getting the feed cup, you can hand feed the horses and they are all friendly and clearly looking for that food. Once inside, you can have a pony ride for $5. The ride is very short, but if you have kids I would count on them expecting the pony ride. There is a gem mining attraction that costs around $8. I would say you can safely skip this one, its the standard sift for gems thing you see at a lot of other attractions. Concessions are available and reasonably priced, I paid $3 for 2 ice cold fountain sodas.
Fantastic place to take the kids for a few hours to be around all sorts of farm life. From horses to donkeys, emus to peafowl, they have it all. The staff are very well versed in horsemanship and the horses love the attention. The barn, arena, stalls, etc. are very clean and the prices are very fair.Highly recommend!
This little place is sweet and charming and a fun relaxing place to take all ages but especially accommodating to very little ones. Disappointed that through the years theyve gotten rid of the train ride carousel and antique auto barn. Food is ok and very reasonably priced. Animals are super friendly and staff very polite and helpful even the youngest staff members.
We went on a Friday. There wasnt a while lot of people here. The kids had a blast. They loved the show where the horses do their tricks. They loved feeding the big horses and hugging the two little horses that were running around being for food. They loved the pony rides.I loved the cost of everything. I wasnt ejecting to pay $1 for a cold bottle of water when they could have charged $3. The pony rides were an average price but 3x longer than normal $5 rides. We got a $5 cup of feed that lasted 3 hours. I loved that the souvenir stuffed animal horses they got were less than $10. Nothing here feels like a rip off. It feels like theyre making enough to take care good care of their animals while making kids happy. The animals were clean, obviously happy, and were in clean environments. All the horses wanted to see the kids. Some would even kick their gates to get more attention. Obviously they just wanted food but kids dont see it that way.We only went when my sisters and older daughter were going on a horseback Gettysburg tour. I was looking for kid friendly things to do in Gettysburg and this was perfect for a 4 & 5 year old who were sad they were too young to ride horses. They had a blast and got to ride a horse.
I would give more stars if the price was lower. It is a nice place to bring children. But admission is not cheap to begin with, and then they charge even more if you want to give your child a horse ride or go on a hayride. Overall, I was disappointed, but we did enjoy it.
I hadnt been here since I was a kid, so I thought it was about time to visit again since we have 3, 4, and 7 year olds at home. The kids loved the horses, as well as the other animals around the farm. Our 3 year old quickly made friends with a little goat named Trixie, who followed us everywhere, making things even more enjoyable.
This is a great place, my daughter is taking camp here for her second year in a row. We have season passes and come here consistantly. They have a great snack bar, and the animals and folks who work here are great too. Definately worth the trip to visit. 5 stars all the way.
I went to Gettysburg College, right down the road from Land of little horses. They have done an amazing job. The park is being redone, repainted, and the new owners have done an amazing job making it a brand new destination spot for Tourists.Besides the horse demonstrations, The Stables, and generally a nice place to go. They have a fantastic outdoor area to walk, have a picnic, or just enjoy your nice day in Gettysburg.Honestly, I put this on your list of places to visit the next time youre in town!
Weve visited various times and with the changing of the guard (owners) theres still an amazing feel to this place; its practically magical ... The staff genuinely love the critters that live and entertain here ... Priceis worth all the schedule of activities that are offered ... Gift shop is quaint and focused on themed related merchandise ... Always a fun, educational and furry/fluffy/feathered experience
Update, many birds (or whatever they were) have large open sores, curly pigs are matted, and there are ticks on back animals. Ride on stuff was a lot of fun. Horses look healthy other animals not so much many with open sores. No signs to tell me what kinds of animals or any history like when you go to any other animal attractionsGo visit the Sanctuary instead
It was Meh. understaffed, cafe food was absolutely awful, some of the animal pens seemed over grown, out dated, and not kept up. they were clean however and all animals looked healthy. the shows were ok for kids. the entire atmosphere was like a traveling circus. there was little supervision around animal pens.
This is great place to bring kids and the staff is very friendly we love the atmosphere and a great family place with horses wondering around on the grounds and the little show was very nice we hadnt been here in a long time I had forgot how much fun it was I personally would like to thank each and everyone at the land of little horses for our great day.
Today was our 3rd year in a row visiting Land of Little Horses We really enjoyed our visits. Unfortunately today my 4 year old granddaughter was grabbed in the face by one of the horses, Wednesday was the horses name. She was petting the horse and it grabbed her face bruising it and knocking her to the ground. I was very disappointed in the way the staff just brushed off the incident. They gave us an ice pack and a disinfectant wipe to wash off her face, but there was never any concern or they didnt even look at her face to make sure if she was ok. Needless to say, that was my last visit.

2022-06-30First time taking my daughter and she loved it! I remember going when I was little and am so happy it is still running. The manager inside was amazing explaining the different activities and packages. Buying tickets before you get there is best to get in the park quicker. And the shows were fun and entertaining. Were looking forward to going again!

2021-07-26You can spend an entire day here. My 2 year old had so much fun! Whats really nice is you can purchase the biggest package for her, but arent forced to as the adult accompanying her. The girls at the desk help you figure out the best bang for your buck, which I appreciate. So for example, she was able to mine for gems, but we didnt have to buy our own ticket to help her with that. She had a mini train ride, a hay ride, mined, played in the mini western town, ride a pony, and fed the animals. Goats and mini horses roam free, which was so exciting for her. She squealed with delight through the mane event. Helpful and friendly staff. Impressive gift shop!

2021-08-20I took my kids here 35 to 40 yrs ago. This year I brought my grandchildren. They were older than most kids there, but enjoyed feeding and petting all the little horses, and goats. It was a fun day for us.

2021-05-19We had a blast here. So much fun! The grounds were exceptionally clean for a farm that has animals wandering. The staff was welcoming and pleasant. Theres lots of room to roam, different pricing options to choose from, plenty to do and see. The animals are tame and super gentle with all the kids. Only downside is I dont live close enough to get a membership and visit frequently. They even offer a summer camp! Theres a gift shop and small cafe. I felt all the pricing was fair. Cant wait to go back one day...hopefully soon. We loved it!

2022-05-31Great place to take kids for a good part of the day. There are a lot of animals to interact with and feed with treats you buy. Feeding time is fun and you can buy bottles to feed the small goats and calves. The pig races are also a lot of fun. Great place to take the family.
