Nice place, the kittens are adorable and the administrators are very kind, just a small suggestion is to cut the nails of the little animals since they easily get tangled up in the clothes of the visitors and although they are not aggressive they get stressed and worry that they will inadvertently hurt. I will return whenever I can.
LeCat Cafe is a large room with a bunch of very friendly cats, all of which are available for adoption. The person running the Cafe when my young charge and I were there was extremely helpful. He brought out a toy the cats love, so we could interact more with the cats. Our visit was an hour, which gave us plenty of time to cuddle and play with the kitties. We cant wait to go back.
The woman working there was really nice and understanding as well as informative. The cats were friendly and adorable. They also had nice toys to play with the cats. There was no food due to COVID protocols but otherwise it was a great time. Would recommend to anyone wanting to spend time with some nice cats.
They are absolutely amazing!!!! Kathy Jordan came to my location and rescued 6 stray kittens that we were taking care of. She is also in the process of helping my wife and I get our male cats fixed. Im soo happy I called them and they are part of my life. I know the kittens they rescued for us are going to get amazing care and eventually adopted out to good forever homes. I recommend them with all my heart and soul
I feel super called to warn folks about this. As some of you may know - my cat was missing for a bit. It was a super scary time but during that my girlfriend and I were in contact with the Cat Cafe on girard. From the jump it was a super scary and almost - creepy- experience. They had our cat for three days before anyone contacted us, although they checked his microchip on day 1. Then when contact finally was made they kept accusing my partner and I of being bad owners - saying we let him out, that he needed to be kept with qualified people, etc. This may sound dramatic but my partner and I both felt like they were trying to not give him back to us because 1. they ended the first call with us and 2. It took over 15 minutes before they gave us the address to where he was. We did go up to the cat cafe to try to talk to someone about our experience and again just received negative interactions. And at the same time it was a really sad experience as it did feel very overpopulated in there with the cats, the litter boxes looked incredibly unkempt, and my cat was incredibly overstimulated due to the fact that he was instantly introduced in an open concept to nearly 20 cats.I wanted to say something just because it did feel as though they were trying to possibly poach other people’s pets, or at least gaslight and shame everyone that’s lost a pet they’ve rescued.
Super fun to spend time with the 12 cats in residence. The cats, not surprisingly, have very different personalities and have a wide range of shapes and colorings. They have a lot of fun cats toys and furniture. I went there because my 10 yo suggested it as a fun activity--she was in heaven! I was fooled by the name, and thought I might get a coffee while she played w the cats. But I had fun anyway!
Very friendly, informative staff. Answered my kids questions as seriously as my own. Clean setting. Very comfortable for the kitties. Cats everywhere - I loved it! Unfortunately, we couldnt partake in the cafe part due to Covid-19 but I recommend this place. They care about their cats.
I adopted my furbaby Garrison (Gare Bear) from the Cafe Christmas Eve of 2020. One of the GREATEST decisions, gifts, and blessing that I ever made. The staff is very professional and makes sure the cats are going home to a safe and loving home. They will check your references and contact your landlord to make sure youre the best match for your fur baby. Other than that the rest of the process is quick and easy. Due to Covid booking an appointment to meet the cats made the experience safe, fun, and exciting. I recommend Le Cat Cafe to anyone whos looking for their fur baby.IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST CAT ADOPTION PLEASE READ... a week after adopting my cat from the Cafe I noticed it look like he had a really bad cold. I called the vet explained his symptoms and she said that its normal for cats to have a common cold in a new environment. Theyre getting use to so much and just need time to adjust. So I just wanted to put that out there so you wont panic like I did and take a trip to the ER anyway and end up spending A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY lol. But if you do notice any strange symptoms or anything out the norm please dont wait too long. The Cafe will give you a list of places to take your cat for check ups and emergencies. Overall being a cat mom is so great and Gare Bear is truly one of the best blessings that came into my life 🥰
This was a wonderful place and me and my child had a wonderful experience. We had just left a horrible experience at a different rescue so my expectations were low so when I walked into a pleasant kind volunteer who was happy to see us I was relieved. I was also very happy to see that the space was HUGE so we werent in the cats faces. We were able to relax and give the cats space to walk around us and check us out before a greeting and saying hi. I also thought the pricing was fair; $11 for adults per hr. and children under 12 are free. This was just a relaxing happy experience and my little one was so happy and thrilled. Just sayin: The space is filled with cats so expect it to smell like cats. 😺💖We are definitely going back to adopt. Such a great cause. Such a great rescue!!
Le Cat Cafe is nice enough and the felines are very friendly and well socialized . The all have their shots chipped and fixed . If you know anything the cats with a clipped ear were once feral . You must fill out an application to adopt. I was there to get a cat for my cousin whose cat had passed away . I called since call not returned on adoption. Woman who ran places said I was declined without explanation. I have 2 cats anyway and found kitten from litter of a friend to place with my cousin . I felt their poor communication did not rate them 5 stars .
So cute! I loved playing with the cats. There was one kitten who really enjoyed attacking the others but outside of that it was a good time and the rest of the cats got along. There were more kittens and I was hoping for more senior cats. The menu items are crazy sugary so prepare for that.
Le Cat Cafe is an amazing place to go, especially for any cat lover! Me and my boyfriend LOVE cats so when we discovered Le Cat Cafe online we had to go! The cats are all so funny and sweet! The staff was super helpful and it was nice to see him interacting with the cats as well! I so badly wish I could adopt them all they were so cute and adorable!! Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time playing with the cats that the hour just few by! We will definitely be returning to Le Cat Cafe and will be recommending it to all our friends as well! I suggest everyone to check it out it is amazing!
Cat cafes are a great idea and i wish there was one in my hometown. There are about 8 very friendly kitties, some that like to play and others that just sleep. If youre looking for a cat to take home, its a great place to hangout and get to know them without the stress and chaos of a shelter. But if you cant take a cat home yourself, its also a very relaxing place to hangout and pet cats. I just wish it was located closer to center city.
A bit slim on cats when we went, but the ones that were there seemed happy and playful. We went as soon as it opened, which I would recommend. The cats hadnt been burned out by a day of petting yet and came looking for attention. There are lots of toys to entice them with! You also get a free cup of Keurig coffee/tea/hot chocolate while youre there which is just a small, neat bonus.
The cats were great and we enjoyed our time with them. This is such a cool cafe and we love the way it provides an opportunity for more cats to be adopted. That being said the staff member was very unhelpful and a bit rude. She seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the cats and sometimes appeared to be ignoring us. She was more interested in her phone and computer then engaging with us for our short half hour stay in the cafe. It kind put a damper on this experience that we had been looking forward to for a long time. Hopefully this staff member is not normally like this because if so I doubt many customers will feel encouraged to return.
What a great place to spend an hour of your time. You get to play with some lovely babies and your contribution helps to support the place. The decor is lovely, you get access to some k cups, but the real experience is just getting to love on the cats. Consider adopting a new friend from here!
This is the best place ever! My friend and I found a cat stuck in a tree and ACCT wouldnt help us but one of their wonderful people came by and saved the kitty. He got him water and a vet to look at him before we took him home! Also, the other staff is great and whats not to love about hanging out with adoptable cats!
What a wonderful idea to bring sweet homeless kitties to a loving environment so that they can find a furrever home. If you are thinking about adopting a feline companion, then please visit the cafe. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the cafe is so unique with all kinds of interesting furnishings designed especially for the kitties.
A quaint little place to relax with cats. The place is entirely run by volunteers, all proceeds support Green Street Reecue, and coffee is complimentary with your visit (charged per hour). The cats are sweet and socialised well and all up for adoption. If youre looking to adopt a cat and would like to be able to interact with them in a relaxed environment before making a decision, this is the perfect place to do so. Only thing is that their adoption fees are somewhat high compared to other rescues but this is understandable since their quality of care is above and beyond those of other shelters.
Adorable, quaint cafe full of kittens and cats. Coffee and tea is free, you just pay a rate per time interval in the cafe. The cats are typically friendly and playful, but you get to meet all cat types and personalities. Cats can be adopted from this establishment or the shelter the cafe works with.
Most of the cats here are not willing to interact with the costumers since they ran of or ignore you if you try to approach them. Some of the cats are very familiar with this place and like to be here; so, it will take time for them to get used to a new house. While trying to approach one of the cats, my friend and I were scratched by it. Additionally, there are 2 cats that looked overweight since there was a large amount of food available all day long. If you are trying to get a cat, try to adopt one that you bond with and you are sure that it will be happy to go home with you.
Le Cat Café is the best place to find a feline companion or to just chill with the cats while drinking tasty beverages! I constantly visited Le Cat Café with my friends and eventually adopted one of the cats that I fell in love with. The staff member is also super helpful with any questions you may have. All of the cats are super lovable and even greet you at the counter when you first enter! It’s just purrrrfect!/ᐠ. ᴗ.ᐟノ ♡
Spent an hour and a half with the cats and it’s obvious they’re so happy with the care they’re given while they’re there. The staff working when I was there was personable and helpful with all questions. Definitely worth a stop. You won’t be able to help but want to take one home with you
A delightful little cat cafe full of delightful kitties. Weve been to a number of these around the country and this is the first one Ive seen that attempts to classify the personality of each cat to help potential owners find the best fit. That said, I wanted to bring them all home but getting them on the airplane would have been a challenge! Well be back the next time were in Philly.

2022-03-01Great place to chill with cats of all kinds! And adopt if looking for one. The workers were super friendly and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place! All cats are found either outside or donated. All are healthy and have their shots. The one cat I hope to adopt at some point next month if shes still there! Her name was blanket, and apparently I was the first one she felt that comfortable with :)

2022-01-18Great place to get a cat or just relax with fur babies. We went in looking for a bonded pair kittens and after an exhaustive application process and some cute cat cuddles, we were put in touch with kittens in their foster network within 24hrs. Three days later, we met back at the cafe to be introduced to the kittens and instantly made a bond and we took them home that day. Really a great experience all around and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for cat love.

2022-08-11I loved it here even though I was by myself. Great company with all the cats and all of their distinct personalities. You essentially pay for an hour with the cats. So many of them are sociable and willing to play or be petted. There is coffee and tea available too! A great place to hang out with friends while making some new furry friends too! I would definitely go back with a group of friends to experience the joy of being at the Le Cat Cafe!

2022-07-24First time at a cat cafe and I had so much fun! The kitties came up to me and brushed my legs. They have a wall and some paper that shows each cats different personalities, thought that was pretty cool.

2022-06-24The process to sign up online is simple and quick. The cats are really cute, and most if not all, are ready for a loving home. Theyre all cats that were rescued from the streets. Please support this great nonprofit!!

2022-07-04My husband and I went to visit this place and after alittle while, I found myself actually petting the cats. And they let me pet them. I hadnt had great experiences with cats growing up but experiencing this was very exciting. The lady who worked there was super sweet and answered alot of our questions. Very happy that we came here. I was quite fond of the black cats.

2021-03-24Great little place to check out if you love cats. They kept the number of people low so it seemed safe during COVID. Everyone from here was super friendly and I ended up adopting a new addition to our family. Philly definitely has an issue with the number of stray cats and this place is doing a great job trying to help!

2022-07-17Great place to see and interact with a new cat to see if they should be part of your family. The atmosphere is so much less stressful for human and animal alike.

2018-12-30Very relaxing! Nice place to just sit and have a coffee or tea. The cats are very enjoyable and friendly. You can play and interact with the cats and some will even feel invited to sit on your lap. The only down side is that the place does have a small cat litter odor, but thats to be expected. Its not the cats waste that smells, just the litter itself. The employees clearly love their job, and try to keep it as clean as possible offering tissues, hand sanitizer, and lint rollers. Nice experience here.
