This is not a luxury apartment complex. It was ok until my rent was increased by over $400 a month. The staff rarely knows what’s going on, they removed the bus service, pet owners don’t pick up after their dogs, the gym desperately needs to be updated, there are no darts for the dart board, they post events that never happen; I could go on. They consistently over promise, and under deliver.

It was better when Berger owned it. When I first moved in 2020 rent was $590 - reasonable for a shared apartment. Now its $899. 65% increase in 2 years?? Ridiculous. Without that many changes to justify raising the rent so much. The way they handle leases now is such a headache - particularly if you are a full time resident - because they want to cater to college students. Not to mention twisting peoples arms into renewing before their current lease is up by holding rent raises over their heads. The new management is just corporate and greedy. Every attempt they make at acting like they care about the residents just feels cheap and ingenuine. The amenities are nice, but thats about it.

Im writing this review as a geoscience major at BloomU, none of this is incriminating and 100% written with honesty. Lionsgate apartments is definitely not recommended for students, not only is it quite the commute to Bloomu and no longer have transportation services they formerly offered, theyre owned by incredibly greedy people. Theyll tell you just about anything you would want to hear to get you to rent. Upon singing leases you also waive away rights as part of the lease, which I highly recommend you dont do. When I asked them about their pet policy they told me they allow any pet (not ESA) but failed to tell me due to miscommunication on their end that they only allow non-ESA pets if you rent the entire apartment and not by bedroom/unit which costs $1500 monthly while renting by room is 740 a month. Its not worth the money. I rented from places before, I have plenty of experience and as word of advice be sure to invest your money into something that is actually worth it. There is also plenty of rumors, not saying theyre true, that they have huge black mold and bug problems. I hope you all have an amazing semester at BloomU and best of wishes :)

Lions Gate is honestly a really good place to live, JUST NOT 2019-2020. They have been doing constructions at my building for the past 4 months (and it looks like it wont be done anytime soon). They start at 7am with hammering and banging. I dont think the construction workers know how thin the walls are because I can hear them talking and laughing. I have brought this up to the community twice and I am sure many people from my building have as well. The only response Ive gotten was oh they wont be there too long or everyone else have been very patient with the construction. I work many different shifts in the hospital and many times I am sleep deprived when I go to work (which is just bad patient care and an error to happen). Also, they have parked their huge construction trucks and cars in front of the entrance of the building overnight (see pictures). This is super dangerous and I am so glad nothing has happened yet.Lions Gate community did a terrible job of responding to these concerns that our building have raised. They did not provide incentives for our building to have to deal with this for the past 4 months. I am sure when they start moving to remodel another building, many more will complain. My roommate who just moved in can no longer keep her cat in the apartment because the cat has been crying all day from the noise and it scared him.I know I have said a lot of bad things about Lions Gate because of this situation. I cannot wait for the construction to be done. This community is otherwise very friendly. They have a really good gym and they try to provide events to the tenants here (almost like living in dorms with RAs). They have their own mechanic who comes in to fix anything and will replace light bulbs that needed replacing.I think giving this place a 2 star right now is fair. Once the construction is done I will change this to represent a more accurate review. At this moment I am just furious!

Alex Pasculle was very helpful in the transition to getting a unit at Lions Gate. He answered any concerns and questions that I had and was instrumental in my final decision to rent a unit. AGM Jennifer Evans could not have done a better job in the assignment of the additional renter to my unit. It has really been an enjoyable process and am glad I rented at Lions Gate.

You share the apartment with two other tenants chosen by the office unless you bring two friends or front the entire apartment cost.***Only one Occupant is permitted per room; That includes couples. You must lease two rooms if you have two people.Lion’s Gate is a good place to live while in transition for 1-4 years. It has its quirks, but overall I would recommend them. If you’re seeking a long term stay, or are a graduate student in need of a quiet residence, I would suggest you ask about Apollo instead.

Lions gate is not a good place to live they charging 1450 or something a month which includes being able to use the pool I live there for a year and never seen the pool working or open. They got a major fruit fly and ant problem when it’s warm. Staff are not respectful some are tho. They stalk the cameras all day so your always being watched if u not in ya apartment it’s just not a good place to be I had roommates kick my door in while sleeping. They also kicked my family out for acouple days late on rent due to COVID I got a 7 month old daughter and one otw and they heartlessly evicted us in the middle of winter and a pandemic.

Really love living here! As a current college student it has everything I am looking for. 24 hour gym and my own bathroom are my favorite takeaways. The staff really does everything they can do to help.

Ive been living at Lions Gate for a couple years now as a college student and I love it. The staff is nice and helpful. They also host a lot of events to meet new people and hang out with your friends.

Would give no stars if I could. Yes, this place is nice inside compared to the apartments in town, but terrible location and circumstances. I moved in as a college student and was NOT told about the construction, as it interrupted many things. The construction even hit my roommate and her dog, we told the office people, and they did nothing about it, blew it off. The office does not take anything you say seriously, they blow it off. Also, me and my roommates were told we could move out with NO CHARGE due to COVID-19 and the school closing, but when I decided to move out, I had to pay thousands to get out of my lease. Also, the website claims they are pet friendly, but they are not. They only accept therapy animals. False advertisement. Do not waste your time here. Waste of money and time.
