Lions Gate Apartments in other cities:
My roommates and I really thought that living here our last year of college would be a fantastic experience. However, we couldn’t have been more wrong. We were never informed that construction would begin in October and would last well throughout the year. The construction began at 7 am and sometimes lasted until 8 pm. This made it extremely difficult to get any sleep for night clinical for my roommate and for any of us to get any work done in our own apartment. We never received a discount for the interruption, our parking spots were taken up my construction vehicles, AND they are charging us an $80 cleaning fee per person despite all of this. We were all so disappointed and never imagined that this would be the way we would spend our senior year. If there’s anything good that came out of the pandemic, it’s that we didn’t have to spend time there.
The employees were very kind and helpful, they made renting very easy and the apartments are nice for what theyre priced at. They work well with college students and living here is enjoyable. They provide a lot of amenities for the people living here which is hard to find at other locations. Overall Ive really enjoyed living at lionsgate.
Nice place for young professionals to live... close enough to everything yet far enough from campus. Apartments are newer, cleaner, and more modern than most other housing in the area. Bedrooms are small but theres plenty of space for 1-2 people per apartment. Its nice how each bedroom has its own bathroom. The building that Im in is quiet and I rarely hear anyone around me. Theres always activities going on in the clubhouse like taco night, cookouts for sporting events, and wine/paint class. Lions Gate gets major points for having a pool and being pet-friendly!
Do not live here! The apartments are small, the refrigerators are too small. Me and my roommates had to buy another mini fridge to have enough space. They charge you hidden fees and do not tell you about. They charge you an addition 10 dollars a month for a service fee. Moving out they charge you 50 dollars for a carpet cleaning and 30 for a cleaning fee for the general area when both of the roommates still live there. A complete rip off and not worth it at all
I love it here staff is very friendly. Will help with what ever your problem is.... I recently went to stay here, and had to bring my dog even tho there wasnt any apartments available there they where still able to place me in a very nice apartment!!!!! I hope this message makes it to her. Thanks Kathy for going the extra mile and making sure me and my family was comfortable even after your scheduled shift. Excellent service!!!!!!
Lions Gate Apartments is the best housing company in all of Bloomsburg. It caters to families, professionals, graduate students, and even undergraduate students. The office is always helpful, and the maintenance crew is always at the ready to assist, whenever you need them. The pool, hot tub, full gym, tanning beds, weekly events at the club house, and the business center are all the things that separate Lions Gate from the other competitors.
Conditions of living are better than most moldy places in bloom. Staff is subpar (mainly speaking on the manager and co-manager). Had to contact corporate at one point. Not too helpful. No matter how clean the apartment is when you leave you 10000% wont get your deposit back. You would think they would be a bit more understanding to students during COVID pandemic. Overall, pretty messy establishment on the inside, with a little bit of makeup on the outside to draw you in.
(BU Students) Its too bad there isnt a no star review. The employees who work at this facility are incredible. They do their job, never give us a hard time, and usually always do it with a smile on their face. Then there is the owners... Some hoity toity guy named Bill Nye (not the science guy) owns the apartment complex and many others throughout the state of PA. I and many other residents, have had our amenities taken away from us and I am still expected to pay the full $659.00 rent. If that wasnt enough for you, they havent even connected their business to the rating system here on google; and if that wasnt enough for you either, in Global Pandemic Bill Nye the science guy decides to have the employees send us an email about how we have to pay our rent because he needs to be able to run the facilities and amenities (which they also took away from us) and pay his employees... the emails from Bill about the pandemic and how we are supposed to handle everything as residents have a threatening tone. Reminding us that we have a binding contract, and will be given late fees and even be taken to court. I sadly am paying my bill, but thats because I cant afford the money for a good lawyer.
Have had problems with them as soon as I signed the lease. They placed me and my friend in an apartment with someone we didnt fit well with regardless of the form we filled out. Once moved in the apartment we had a problem with roaches coming out the cracks behind our refrigerator. On top of that my roommate noticed mold growing in her bathroom no less than a week after we moved in and the maintenance staff had the audacity to say just get some soap and water to scrub it off. If I am expected to pay $609 a month ON TIME I should not have to deal with any problems a week after I move in, and for the duration of my lease. We called about once a month for the entire duration of our lease about there roach problem. Plus there is a ugly looking crack forming across the ceiling that they have yet to fix. Its like once we signed the lease they no longer cared about our living experience. I wouldnt recommend a fly to live in these luxury apartments, they are simply money hungry.
Lionsgate is a horrible place to live! I would advise you to look elsewhere. Management is horrible and none of the employees know how to do their jobs properly. Its really just a frustrating process to live there. So I would think twice, before you sign that lease. The pool and gym are okay, but the mold in the apartments, noisy conditions, and caliber of people living at Lionsgate are reasons good enough to not live there. Rent is always increasing and its just not worth it!
Best Bet in the entire region for a luxury apartment at a pretty reasonable price. Theres like the best 3 restaurants in the entire region, one of them 5 star dining... just up the road! You could hike there, but you dont have to! They even provide free!... Lions Gate shuttle/limousine service!! Service goes all through the day to and from the school too! Love that! Also, the Lion Shaped Swimming pool and the outdoor fire pits, plus Jacuzzi is so sweet! The girls from College Mansion were here on the day I visited! Woohoo!!!! Yeeeeahhhh!!!!I never had an issue with hearing my neighbors, there is a huge community center with a state of the art gym, fully equip for just about any kind of bodybuilding you want to do.Also, there are tanning beds here , a business center with internet, events and cookouts.
Worst living situation Ive ever had. The staff is incredibly rude and not helpful at all. I had 2 roommates that didnt like the color of my skin, so when I went to request a room change, they refused. Lynn, one of the property managers said that I should be more tolerant of my white roommates, though I was being called a n****r on a daily basis. For the first 8 months of my lease, I hardly stayed there because I was afraid for my safety. They also refused to give me a mail box key. I was forced to call the police just to get my mail. Theres no privacy. Maintenance walks into your apartment and even your room unannounced and without any warning. Dont bother asking to get anything fixed in your apartment because they wont come by and fix it anyway. When I tried to contact management higher up, Tracey refused to give me the number. I finally had to contact the corporate office myself; and after all that they have still not returned any of my calls. If you are a college student or young professional looking for a reasonable apartment, DO NOT LIVE AT LIONS GATE! The walls are paper thin so you can hear verbadum conversations that are happening next door. I could go on and on about how horrible this place is...from the bad architecture to the musty moldy rooms to the infestiations of bugs to the unconsiderate and uncompassionate management. At the end of the day, they just want you you sign a lease so they can get a check.Thats it.
It’s nice having your own bedroom and bathroom but everything else about lionsgate is not the great. The wifi is absolutely HORRIBLE, the bedroom carpet had stains everywhere, the furniture in the living room and kitchen is falling apart, I’ve constabtly had to have maintenance come to fix my door because it doesn’t close right or lock a majority of the time, and the walls are super thin. It does have its perks but the flaws seem to out way the positive. Do NOT live here.
Gets the job done for living, but would never do it for an extended period of time. Pool doesnt look clean and walls are paper thin. Also to backup what another poster said, the internet is absolutely atrocious and there is no option to switch providers. Itd be nice if they at least did something about it, but its still unacceptably slow. Also, maintenance will come by without any warning and let themselves in. Woke up one morning to two of them sitting in my living room trying to fix the internet.Take your money elsewhere, this place is terrible.
The apartments themselves are alright, theyre furnished with generic looking furniture. The living room/kitchen is large and spacious, and the bathrooms and individual bedrooms are fairly nice. The largest problem that I had with lionsgate was the quality of the internet. The WiFi is such poor quality that I wont even be able to watch a YouTube video on 720p without buffering every 2 seconds. And if you hardwire your device to the internet, that isnt reliable either because service electric (the internet provider) is constantly doing maintenance and has the internet shut off. Also, the bus stop needs a bus shelter. All in all, I feel like I got ripped off. They are charging far too much for the facilities here.
DO NOT STAY AT LIONSGATE! This place is a horrible place to stay! The staff let my roommate and I take a tour of one of the rooms and told us one fee, but when we moved in months after signing the lease they gave us another, more expensive price. They lie. They also charge you for EVERY little thing possible and never make you aware of the charges until you dont have any other choice but to pay. The staff wasnt helpful. I asked for them to email me my lease once and they said I would get it in minutes. I never got it. They walls are paper thin so you can here everything. Everything about this place is cheap. Lionsgate is overpriced, dishonest, and not worth wasting your time. DO NOT LIVE AT LIONSGATE! All they care about is money and taking it from you. Its not worth the amount you pay to live there.
The staff is really friendly... until you sign your lease!!! They harass their tenants and do not keep up with property renovations. The price is great, but the quality of the furniture and apartment is very low. Walls are paper thin, bedroom doors dont close all the way, electric is outrageous!! Stay away from this place!
Okay!! So ive lived here like two full years. My favorite place in Bloomsburg, PA. Brandon the manager is super awesome, really understanding, and also very kind. He really wants the best for his residents and for them to have a wonderful experience. all the people in the mgmt office are nice. It is simple - give respect, get respect. Will miss Lions Gate!! ps: I never really used the pool but Ive heard some great things about it.
To go off of a previous comment about them taking your money a lot. I just want to say dont expect your deposit back. They charge $50 to shampoo the carpet in your room which is a rip off because when I moved in my carpet was nothing but stains. They charge another $50 to clean your room, which is also a rip off because it doesnt take that much to dust and clean a small room. And who knows what ridiculous thing they charge you with, with your last $50. Oh and to make it even better, they NEVER make you aware of these charges until youre moving out or a month later with what is suppose to be getting your deposit, but ends up being a billing of how they spent your deposit money. Its a TOTAL RIP OFF! DONT STAY AT LIONSGATE APARTMENTS!
Maintenance always arrives in a timely manner if something needs fixed and we now have high-speed internet. Its generally quiet which is good for study time. The only thing Im not satisfied with is the weight room. The equipment needs replaced or fixed. Also, there is no ATM on the property.
This place is great, you can literally move in and just bring your toothbrush and a few items from home, its completely furnished including suede couches and trundle beds, theres a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the apartment itself (no more running to do that!)most of the utilities are included...and they are putting in a brand new swimming pool this season!!!I had a problem with a lamp that I brought from home, which was broken, the maintenance man was kind enough to fix it, even though he didnt have to.I have had zero maintenance problems. The staff has been very kind to me here, I could not ask for more.I needed to get directions and help finding a few things locally, they went out of their way to help.Oh! and there is also a shuttle over to the college!: )Good dealDefinitely recommended~!!!
The staff is super friendly and nice. However the WiFi they use, being pen Tele data, is horrible. Its below average and anything you want to watch or stream will always be had quality bc the WiFi cant handle it. $600 some a month should provide better wifi or at least an option for better

2022-07-22This is not a luxury apartment complex. It was ok until my rent was increased by over $400 a month. The staff rarely knows what’s going on, they removed the bus service, pet owners don’t pick up after their dogs, the gym desperately needs to be updated, there are no darts for the dart board, they post events that never happen; I could go on. They consistently over promise, and under deliver.

2022-06-08It was better when Berger owned it. When I first moved in 2020 rent was $590 - reasonable for a shared apartment. Now its $899. 65% increase in 2 years?? Ridiculous. Without that many changes to justify raising the rent so much. The way they handle leases now is such a headache - particularly if you are a full time resident - because they want to cater to college students. Not to mention twisting peoples arms into renewing before their current lease is up by holding rent raises over their heads. The new management is just corporate and greedy. Every attempt they make at acting like they care about the residents just feels cheap and ingenuine. The amenities are nice, but thats about it.

2022-04-18Im writing this review as a geoscience major at BloomU, none of this is incriminating and 100% written with honesty. Lionsgate apartments is definitely not recommended for students, not only is it quite the commute to Bloomu and no longer have transportation services they formerly offered, theyre owned by incredibly greedy people. Theyll tell you just about anything you would want to hear to get you to rent. Upon singing leases you also waive away rights as part of the lease, which I highly recommend you dont do. When I asked them about their pet policy they told me they allow any pet (not ESA) but failed to tell me due to miscommunication on their end that they only allow non-ESA pets if you rent the entire apartment and not by bedroom/unit which costs $1500 monthly while renting by room is 740 a month. Its not worth the money. I rented from places before, I have plenty of experience and as word of advice be sure to invest your money into something that is actually worth it. There is also plenty of rumors, not saying theyre true, that they have huge black mold and bug problems. I hope you all have an amazing semester at BloomU and best of wishes :)

2019-11-25Lions Gate is honestly a really good place to live, JUST NOT 2019-2020. They have been doing constructions at my building for the past 4 months (and it looks like it wont be done anytime soon). They start at 7am with hammering and banging. I dont think the construction workers know how thin the walls are because I can hear them talking and laughing. I have brought this up to the community twice and I am sure many people from my building have as well. The only response Ive gotten was oh they wont be there too long or everyone else have been very patient with the construction. I work many different shifts in the hospital and many times I am sleep deprived when I go to work (which is just bad patient care and an error to happen). Also, they have parked their huge construction trucks and cars in front of the entrance of the building overnight (see pictures). This is super dangerous and I am so glad nothing has happened yet.Lions Gate community did a terrible job of responding to these concerns that our building have raised. They did not provide incentives for our building to have to deal with this for the past 4 months. I am sure when they start moving to remodel another building, many more will complain. My roommate who just moved in can no longer keep her cat in the apartment because the cat has been crying all day from the noise and it scared him.I know I have said a lot of bad things about Lions Gate because of this situation. I cannot wait for the construction to be done. This community is otherwise very friendly. They have a really good gym and they try to provide events to the tenants here (almost like living in dorms with RAs). They have their own mechanic who comes in to fix anything and will replace light bulbs that needed replacing.I think giving this place a 2 star right now is fair. Once the construction is done I will change this to represent a more accurate review. At this moment I am just furious!

2021-12-16Alex Pasculle was very helpful in the transition to getting a unit at Lions Gate. He answered any concerns and questions that I had and was instrumental in my final decision to rent a unit. AGM Jennifer Evans could not have done a better job in the assignment of the additional renter to my unit. It has really been an enjoyable process and am glad I rented at Lions Gate.

2020-11-05You share the apartment with two other tenants chosen by the office unless you bring two friends or front the entire apartment cost.***Only one Occupant is permitted per room; That includes couples. You must lease two rooms if you have two people.Lion’s Gate is a good place to live while in transition for 1-4 years. It has its quirks, but overall I would recommend them. If you’re seeking a long term stay, or are a graduate student in need of a quiet residence, I would suggest you ask about Apollo instead.

2021-03-20Lions gate is not a good place to live they charging 1450 or something a month which includes being able to use the pool I live there for a year and never seen the pool working or open. They got a major fruit fly and ant problem when it’s warm. Staff are not respectful some are tho. They stalk the cameras all day so your always being watched if u not in ya apartment it’s just not a good place to be I had roommates kick my door in while sleeping. They also kicked my family out for acouple days late on rent due to COVID I got a 7 month old daughter and one otw and they heartlessly evicted us in the middle of winter and a pandemic.

2021-06-30Really love living here! As a current college student it has everything I am looking for. 24 hour gym and my own bathroom are my favorite takeaways. The staff really does everything they can do to help.

2021-10-21Ive been living at Lions Gate for a couple years now as a college student and I love it. The staff is nice and helpful. They also host a lot of events to meet new people and hang out with your friends.

2020-12-10Would give no stars if I could. Yes, this place is nice inside compared to the apartments in town, but terrible location and circumstances. I moved in as a college student and was NOT told about the construction, as it interrupted many things. The construction even hit my roommate and her dog, we told the office people, and they did nothing about it, blew it off. The office does not take anything you say seriously, they blow it off. Also, me and my roommates were told we could move out with NO CHARGE due to COVID-19 and the school closing, but when I decided to move out, I had to pay thousands to get out of my lease. Also, the website claims they are pet friendly, but they are not. They only accept therapy animals. False advertisement. Do not waste your time here. Waste of money and time.
