This is a great hotel in downtown Philadelphia. The rooms were updated, the hotel was very nice, and the staff were outstanding. The hotel is right near a lot of attractions and amazing restaurants as well! You cant find a better place to stay in downtown Philadelphia.
Comfortable and clean. They have a huge fitness center with peloton bikes. They also have a sauna and steam room. Unfortunately, I had to call the front desk three times before they finally got the steam room working but once it was turned on it worked great. The pool was also closed but there was no explanation as to why.
This is a gorgeous, clean hotel, with friendly staff and a great location. The reason it wasnt 5 stars for me is primarily because we came here for a wedding and it was a very busy weekend for the hotel. I think there were three weddings at the hotel, a convention at the convention center, and a conference at the hotel? We had to get our room keys recharged twice because one of them didnt work, twice. The only option for parking is very expensive valet parking ($45/night) and since we stayed overnight there was no discount available (had we just came for the wedding and left the same night a discount was available to guests). Because the only option was valet, trying to get our car after checkout took about 30-45 minutes. The staff did their best to handle the massive amount of cars they had to retrieve but it was a disorganized madhouse. Our car was driven out and parked on the street for about 10-15 minutes before they were able to locate our keys again so we could retrieve the car. They apologized profusely and their manners in handling the situation definitely kept my experience from lessening further.
Beautiful suite, purely professional staff from the valets, to the bell staff, to the front desk, housekeeping, and the bar/restaurant staff. We booked a block of rooms for ourselves and our wedding guests and even though it was a crazy weekend with at least three other weddings present, a half marathon, and the NCAA regionals in town we never once felt overlooked. A wedding weekend has hundreds of things that need looked after and tended to, the hotel stay was something that required no additional effort on our part. Thank you!
This was an easy 4-5 star had it not been for very poor customer service. I had changed my stay to another night and even upgraded the room to do so. The room was well worth it after the 35 minutes that it took to check in. I was still charged a no show fee after being assured that changing the date was no issue. I was trying to remain patient but was unable to get any answers other than we are sorry sir. After waiting in the lobby for 35 minutes the lady at the desk finally said we were ok to check in. We were late to a family dinner because of this. Once in the stay was excellent but again at checkout I got no answers and was told to email or call them back to check on the refund. I have been unable to reach billing and have gotten so update on the status of the refund. I just want to be told by a manager of some sort that this is being handled but I have been left completely in the dark.
Open the pool and youll get 5 stars! :)Joking aside, the biggest issue with this hotel is the check-in experience. If you drive here, it is very confusing to get to check-in and valet parking. The signage is not obvious enough. Very difficult to figure out on a very busy street in the night.Rooms are exceptional, amenities are underwhelming, service is eager and pleasant.
Overall a decent hotel in a good location. Perhaps I went at a wrong time, everything seemed to be a bit chaotic and loud. Bartenders in the lobby lounge area were callously rude and took me about an half hour to grab a drink after they served all the folks in suits. Otherwise the room(slightly outdated) and general service were good.
We just did an over 500 people NF conference at the hotel. The staff was wonderful. Everybody was friendly: from the checkin to the restaurant to the support staff of the event to the parking! So unique and so refreshing.Congratulations leadership!Annette Bakker, president of children’s tumor foundation
Lobby was way too busy during check-in and all the time. Very chaotic in the lobby. Not enough accommodations for impaired/handicap person. My spouse was injured and became handicap after the booking was done and thought that once we go to the hotel and the staff sees the condition, they would accommodate for accessible room.Well the front desk staff had no empathy. They didnt listen and would not assign to anything else. Very inflexible and it was extremely difficult to hear the staff in the lobby. Way too noisy.
I give Lowes Philadelphia Hotel four stars. There were a few technological and structural glitches that prevented a higher review. On the Pro side:A) The bed was amazing. Best night sleep ever.B) Room service was on point, I never saw them due to meetings, but the results of the service was noteworthy.C) Meals provided were very good. Though I did have to request coffee after dinner where I normally would expect the staff to come by.On the Con Side:1) The not so smart TV did not appear to support my ability to access my digital online streaming services so that I could bypass the hotel charges for premium content.2) The table lamps either had bad bulbs or were on a bad circuit as they intermittently lost power during the evening.
The water pressure was too low in the bathroom. There was no refrigerator in the room, but there was a container that looked like a refrigerator. What purpose did it serve? The staff was very nice about giving us late checkout when our flight was delayed. Jasmin, the waitress was very friendly and remembered our names.
Hotel rooms are great. It is hard to see Hotel name / markings if you are driving. Also, valet hotel parking is frequently blocked by double parked trucks / cars. Almost changed my reservation to the Marriott ... which is easily found / accessible.Downtown area is really bad with hustlers, panhandlers, homeless and aggressive beggars. WaWa across the street has 4 Security guards and you still get hassled. I wouldnt stay here either my family even though it is centrally located.
Hotel was full and a complete mad house with events and weddings. Waited to park for over 30 minutes. Reserved and paid for a double bedroom with a early check in request that wasn’t honored. Was given a Queen bed that really look more like a full size bed with a broken toilet handle missing and running. I Contacted the front desk immediately. Was told that the manager was with another guess and he would call me back momentarily he didn’t. I waited in the room for an hour no call no nothing. I was late for my show by then so I left after trying to speak with the manager again. Mark left a voicemail at almost 7pm stating he was informed I wanted to speak with him regarding my issue with the room and that he would be gone until Monday and if I still wanted to speak with him he would be here when I checked out. Unacceptable! When I returned I went to the front desk and I told the clerk what was going on he immediately went into action to help. With the hotel being sold out he still managed to find a room that was suitable at 3am. Checked out and accidentally left my MacBook Pro in the room. Call immediately when I noticed when I was on the road. Hotel security offered to ship it back but I had to pay gave them my credit card they asked how would I like it shipped espresso ground service, I said express shipping. Checked my credit card the next day to find out what the charges were for shipping because they couldn’t tell me at that the day it was suppose to be shipped there were two charges on my account totaling $127. I assumed it would be express shipping when I called to ask for the tracking number I then see it went ground. $127 for ground shipping from Philadelphia to DC. I called back to the hotel to find out what happened The hotel manager Mark then had FedEx to call me. I was told I was charged handling feeds and packing fees and for a laptop box they couldn’t just ship it no problem please send me the receipt so I can know what I paid for. The package arrived box was never tape MacBook Pro was not in the laptop box. This has been a complete nightmare call back to the hotel left messages with the Manager Mark still no return call on MacBook Pro!
Lindsay in the bar is the only reason Im giving 5 stars! I came in off all day delayed flights and wanted food and water. Everyone I asked for either was a hard no. Lindsay grabbed me pretzels and Bottled water and that was all it took to have a happy customer! Youre lucky to have her Lowes!!
This is the worst hotel I ever been and it cost 300 $ per a day. I will not visit Loews hotels in the future. Noisy rooms, you hear the corridor & lift noise. At the bottom of the door lights, air & noise goes to your room. You couldn’t sleep well here and I couldn’t recommend to anyone.Room is dirty and I have no idea how they received stars.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. kept our Eastern Regional Conference here and we found the hotel to be very hospitable, professional and well maintained. The food at our events was tasty and the staff werealways very accommodating. I particularly appreciated the pre-check in online the night before that allowed me to get my keys and go straight to my room even at 9ant a
We had our wedding Loews Hotel, 33rd floor. I have nothing but good things to say about Andreea Denise, the venue coordinator at the Loews Hotel. She responded to every incessant email I sent in such a timely fashion, listened to every want/need we expressed and executed on it. The 33rd floor at Loews Hotel Philadelphia speaks for itself, you don’t even need that much decor or florals because of how insane the views are.
Great stay. Would recommend highly. Rooms are nicely sized, cool and quiet with comfortable beds. The building is beautiful architecturally and everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the restaurant was not open Monday and Tuesday and the convenience kiosk in the lobby didn’t get their bakery delivery on those days making breakfast a challenge. Thank goodness for the wonderland of food at the Reading Market a block and a half away. We did takeaway and brought it back to the hotel for breakfast most mornings (Dutch Eating Place!) We also found limited restaurants with outdoor seating in the immediate vicinity, if that’s important to you. Walk about 10-15 min and you have a plethora of options.
We loved the hotel! The room was excellent. Our location was prime and the view was amazing. Our beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. Every staff member we interacted with were very friendly and always helpful. The only glitch we encountered was around food - there was no room service independent of the restaurant hours even though options were listed in the In-Room Dining screen on the TV. Fortunately the Hard Rock cafe across the street was open and convenient. We will absolutely stay here again for our next trip in Philadelphia.Be warned - there is a large incidentals deposit you pay at checkout and they say it takes several days to go back to you.
Great place to stay and awesome views from the 27th floor. Only 2 things make me not able to leave a 5*. Room was acceptably clean except for the ridge under the lip of the desk. Had considerable accumulation of dust like it hadnt been cleaned for a long while. 2nd thing was I booked a room with the park and stay rate but almost got charged an extra $150 for the 2 days parking which was supposed to be included. Simple fix but had I not checked Id have been out a decent chunk of change.
We stayed here for a wedding and got a great price ($149.00) for a room. Check-in was extremely quick and friendly. Housekeeping and bellhop quickly responded to our requests for different pillows and a luggage cart. Loved the text-message system for making these requests.
We didnt stay overnight in this hotel. We attended a Continuing Education course in one of their seminar rooms. The facilities were quite adequate for the needs of the course, and the coffee and continental breakfast was good. Sufficient water was in pitchers on the tables so that nobody became dehydrated. The acoustics were good enough to clearly hear what was being presented, and the overhead lighting was pretty well distributed, so we could read our materials and notes. We wont complain if the course sponsors decide to return in the future.
We had a wonderful three night stay at the Loews Philadelphia. The room was very clean, we had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable, there was a large nicely appointed bathroom and the shower had very good water pressure and lots of hot water. There was a coffee maker and coffee in the room, and there was a safe in the closet. Both came in handy throughout the stay. There was a large flat-screen TV with cable and HBO. The room was quiet overall, and there is daily maid service. We had one issue with the room, and Jihad, at the front desk, did an exceptional job at resolving the problem. (Thanks, Jihad!). Highly recommended!
Hotel is very nice overall, and the staff is delightful, but the TV doesnt allow you to use your own device with an HDMI cable, and the restaurant has a predatory menu. 120 dollars for a steak listed at 36 ounces, 60 dollars for a steak listed at 16 ounces, and 30 dollars for a steak with no listed weight, because its four ounces. A very delicious four ounces, but literally 4-5 slices of tiny steak.
The rooms are beautiful; however, the hotel is too big. One occasion all neighboring rooms were full for prom (I guess that’s a thing), and this last time there were four weddings. Needless to say, the elevators are always a nightmare…close to unusable. All of this leads us to the bar, which is too small. The location is pretty nice though.
From 11:00 p.m -145am, you only had one bartender staffing the lobby bar and you had a wedding in your building on a BUSY Saturday evening. We were not even able to get enough drinks for our party of 10. You lost out on a lot of money at the bar and, it was poor customer service in my opinion to be understaffed last night. Our bathroom was not cleaned very well. But all in all, we love the Loews and we are willing to overlook a few hiccups due to your good reputation that we have had with you over the past 5 years... We will be back !
Pretty hotel, room was clean, didnt have much interaction with the staff but the few encounters we had they were very friendly and helpful. Only small issue was that the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The room itself did not so kind of a non issue but still a little gross. Beautiful view and comfy bed. Nice central location, easy to get an uber or travel via public transportation. Lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Would def make reservations with them again.
Overall the experience was fine but lack of disclosures during check in and check out was disappointing to say the least. They charge whatever card you have on file when you make the reservation and mark it as “authorized to hold”. I understand some hotels do this but I was never told even when I paid with a separate credit card at checkout. Not a word about it and now I have to wait 10 days to get my own money back. If I don’t consent and am not informed how is that not stealing?
We had a great time! The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is super helpful. They are very kind, and always ready to help and answer all your questions. We had a minor problem with the AC in the room and the staff took care of it in a very fast and efficient way. Location is great. We would definitively stay here again!
We stayed here for the weekend and it was terrific! Every aspect of our stay was just what we were looking for. The staff, especially the concierge, was very helpful. Also, the front desk staff was very accomodating. The room was spacious and clean. The Bourbon bar and hotel lobby were great places to hang out. Honestly, everything about our stay was terrific! Well be back.
Understaffed Beyond Belief, Loud, OverPriced.Yes, it’s gorgeous INSIDE the hotel but that’s all I can really say.I was so excited to stay somewhere historic, fun, more elegant and different than our normal Marriott. We picked a special corner room and it was very cool. But there were no directions about using anything, the coffee maker was broken, some of the motorized blinds were broken and there was dust in the ceiling vents. The decor is modern type but like 70’s modern with red carpet. Don’t waste money on the upgrades. Not worth the money. The hotel was over booked, way too under-staffed and VERY noisy, especially, outside. They have International weddings in the street beside the hotel. It is so very interesting, just loud.Covid was to blame for many things not getting done. However, upon leaving we found out there were all but 300 checkouts and only 2 bellman. Keep in mind, there are no carts for you to use, the hotel is 33 floors high and you cannot get your own car. I so wanted to give a better review but I could not. Steve the bellman and the Valet in the parking garage were the highlight of the hotel!!!
We had a very early flight into Philadelphia and were incredibly happy and relieved to get into our room early without any hesitation from the check-in staff. That truly made our day!! We also enjoyed a few drinks at Bank & Bourbon - the bartender was knowledgeable and made a delicious Old Fashioned. This was our first visit at Loews Philadelphia and we will definitely be back!
Great Location & Service! Parking is a bit scarce around the area and a bit pricey! The staff greeted me as soon as I entered the lobby and directed me to the front desk. Convenient process in to retrieving my information and assigning me a room (only issue I didnt research was they charged $100 each day additional for room service - in which they will returned if you do not utilize their services). Room was spotless! Bathroom was underwhelming (Ive asked for a shower/tub combination - to no avail). The Location is why I absolutely love it: down the street from City Hall / Love Park, walking distance to Reading Terminal Market, endless amount of store fronts you could visit if you misplaced any belongings you were supposed to bring with you, did I even mention about the food?! Amazing! Jims Steak is about 30 min walking distance and it was worth every step! Overall Loews is a great hotel establishment and I hope to do business with them in the near future!
The hotel room was beautiful - it was clean & spacious and our view was awesome. We had a wonderful time until it was time to pick up our car. Im not sure what happened, but we waited for over 30 minutes for our car. It wasnt until we complained that our car was brought to us immediately. It did save me $5.00 since I did not tip the manager for such poor service picking up my car.
Great Location, Great Service and hospitality was fabulous! The staff smiled through their masks and welcomed us wonderfully. Hotel valet parking was great and you’re allowed to come and go for the one 24-hour charge, which is nice considering parking in this area was scarce. The hotel bar and specially Tolyn was awesome - expertly crafted cocktails. A must stay and beautiful!
The hotel is in a great location. Its only footsteps away from the convention center, Reading Terminal, restaurants, and the Philly Plash bus stop. All staff was friendly and eager to help. The room was great with excellent bedding, an outstanding view, and large shower. We only wished the room had a microwave and fridge; nevertheless, we would definitely stay here again.
Id like to give this 4.5 stars but Im rounding up. Its a pretty good hotel in center city. If Philadelphia can move their homeless out of the area it would be better, but this is not the hotels fault. The fitness center is great (especially the pool - you can actually do laps), the rooms are reasonably comfortable, the climate control is very good. This was important because the week I stayed it was about 100 degrees each day. Didnt get a chance to eat at Bank and Bourbon this time but I have been there before and its a good place.
Very nice location and convenient to get to places, also it’s walking distance. The lobby is very nice and I like the bar. I spend a lot of time hangout there after a long day of sightseeing by drinking different drinks 🍹and sit at the sofa. The room was clean and I love a nice shower. The elevators are very confusing. It will take you few times to get to know how they work! Be patient and have a nice experience staying at Loews. ❤️
Even with a last minute booking due to construction at our home they were very accomadating. We called after booking to add a family cat. Yup. I said cat.(lol)Thought shed be terrified while the home was being remodeled. They asked if we needed anything like a pet bed or bowls and even added that we would have a personalized name tag for the door! Again things changed found a last minute solution and didnt have to bring her. They were completely fine with everything. Enjoyed our stay. Such a beautiful room. Most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in. Finally on our last day an employee asked how we were enjoying our stay and I mentioned that I would like to come for our next anniversary. It really was our 25 year anniversary and this hotel saved the day! When we arrived back to our room a magic bottle of champagne and a beautifully decorated piece of cake with berries was waiting for us! Inscribed on the plate was Happy Anniversary. So why would I ever recommend any other place for special occasions. I found my favorite hotel in Philly:)
A bit of history and beautiful views marked our stay at Lowes. Comfy king size bed with a nice overlook of the Ben Franklin Bridge, the Gallery/Fashion District and Reading Terminal Market. Great temperature control in rooms, lush towels and toiletries and no noise from the street to interrupt your sleep.
From the moment we arrived until we left long after checkout, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early since our room was ready for us when we arrived at around 11 AM, which is not something Ive experienced often while traveling! Many hotels will make you wait until your check-in time, and they were very accommodating! The room itself was clean and had a beautiful view of the city skyline and the Delaware river (pictured below). The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries, even individually wrapped q-tips and cotton balls! The room had a big desk with two office chairs, which was perfect for my partner and I needing to work from the room. The wi-fi was free and there was an option to upgrade for $14.99 for unlimited devices for high speed internet. It worked perfectly for me for multiple Zoom meetings and allowed me to use my VPN seamlessly. The room service was incredibly speedy, and when my meal wasnt what I had expected, the chef called me personally and offered something to replace what I had ordered! (I originally got the Ahi Tuna, and it wasnt a very large portion and they replaced it with a complimentary delicious trout filet with haricot verts and Cipollini onions). My only complaint was that the mini-bar was not operating and we needed to store a few things in there, but were able to make do with some ice.Even after checkout, the hotel staff was super helpful with getting me set up in their business center for work, and allowed me access despite my stay being over. The valet parking was affordable (only $45 for the stay) and the attendants were very friendly.I would highly recommend this hotel if youre needing a place to stay in Center City Philly!
Small rooms and I feel like they are all fairly close to or next to the elevator. $100 per night extra hold on your credit card on case you use room service or charge anything to your room ... something they dont tell you at check in. Not enough clerks at check-in. The door guard on our room was busted. Told at check-in that housekeeping was only available by request, but they still came while we were out.
Location is a huge con here! The smell outside the doors made you hold your breath. We paid extra for the view, we were on 31st floor. View was not worth the money at all! We could see a small corner and thats it. The fridge in the room was leaking so the dresser was damaged and disgusting. The beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and large. Staff was very friendly. Parking attendants left the keys to my car inside my vehicle with the doors unlocked. I monitored that through vehicle app and dash camera app on my phone and was able to lock doors from my phone. If the attendants were always there this would not have been a huge deal. However they were away from the entrance many times and any of the 15+ homeless people within 25 feet could have went down and got it. Would not stay in this area again. Did not feel safe outside the doors of the hotel! Not worth the $300 I paid for one night!! Maybe $150-$170 tops
I used the hotel for our wedding room block. The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely nice to all the guests and vendors that needed to get up to the rooms. The team was happy to adjust our reservations when COVID-19 forced us to postpone our wedding and even let us keep the same rate going into the 2021 year.
This is a very nice property with a great location. It is clean and the hotel employees are friendly. I do wish that they would put more towels and coffee pods in the rooms since housekeeping staff are not refreshing the rooms during multiple day stays. Overall a solid place to stay close to the sights and places to eat.
We love this hotel. For the price point - I would like to see some things improved. There is no way to adjust the lighting and the lights are very bright. The fans in the rooms are loud even at the lowest setting. I wireless speaker would also be a great addition.I wouldnt book a Club Level room again until all of the amenities were back online. Things are still restricted.
POSITIVES:Location was great. Public transportation was close. View was great. Beds were comfortable.NEGATIVES:Poor customer service, non-existent hotel service and amenities. We had no maid service for 5-nights. At checkout, we were told it was available upon request. This was not communicated at check in. We took out trash and got our own towels as needed. Bathtub was slow to drain. On Friday, our 4th night, we were in for the night when the fire alarm sounded with a voice saying an emergency had been reported in our building and not to use the elevators or emergency exits. We waited for more information, but none came, and the alarm continued. The front desk could not tell us the problem. We were on the 26th floor, there is an emergency alarm, fire trucks on the way... and told not to use the elevator or stairs. My wife was panicked feeling trapped on the 26th floor. We ran down the 26 flights of stairs and waited at a bus stop until we felt like it was safe. In the Loews lobby, we could not return to our room as the elevators to the higher floors were not functioning. My wife and son sat on the floor as we waited. We were not provided any updates, offered any additional seating, offered anything to drink or any anything else that might have brought some comfort or calm to a stressful situation. There was a wedding party at the hotel, and they seemed to be their only concern. We waited until, eventually, another guest told us they were taking people up through a service elevator. The whole experience lasted around 3 hours.BOTTOM LINE:This hotel lacks severely in communication, customer service, an ultimately value. We communicated the issues at check out and were told to contact Expedia and they would contact the hotel and work out some sort of refund. At check out, the Loews representative gave us a $4 refund for food purchased that morning. To put things in perspective, Friday and Saturday night were just under $300 per night before taxes. Thank you, Loews, for the $4 credit. As suggested, we contacted Expedia who contacted Loews who offered us nothing. Expedia gave us a $50 credit for a future stay. Thank you, Expedia. You outclassed Loews. Due to this experience, my wife now says she NEVER wants to stay in a high-rise hotel again. Sadly, every issue we had could have been resolved with better communication. This was frustrating as my family was only a long overdue vacation.John
It is a very nice hotel. We stayed two nights to attend a family wedding. We had a beautiful room with two comfortable beds and firm pillows on 11th floor. The bathroom is gorgeous and the makeup mirror attached to the wall was very useful to me when getting ready for my cousins wedding. The room had its own thermostat too, which was set to 72 degrees from the get-go.The two negatives were:1. The mini fridge was barely cold, not cold enough to make a water bottle cold.2. My 86 year old grandmother is 47 and couldnt get into the bed. Not that big of a deal as a step stool would easily solve that...One would think.(I) called at 3 times without getting a step stool so my grandmother could go to sleep. Nothing.(My aunt) who was also staying at the hotel called twice and the last time she raised hell because it was after 11pm! I got her into bed by having her step on a small upturned trashcan so she could go to sleep. At MIDNIGHT, a man came with a step stool but told me he would have to take it back right away. I couldnt believe it! I told him we were staying another night but be had to return it. You know my aunt raised hell in the morning because the hotel staff delivered a simple one step stool so she could get into bed whenever. With the price they charge per room, youd think a simple (one step) step stool would be easily provided.
The main issue was around the billing for the room. A $100 a day hold on card for any outstanding purchases was a bit extreme to me. Plus I had to put that on a different card which was changed for the room stay instead of the card put on file. This made me incur an overdraft charge. Just need for personnel to pay attention to detail.
The hotel is nice, front lady was very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 rooms and we were so surprised that we can go from one room to another from the inside. Everything overall is great except one of our pillow is dirty...has stains on it. With pandemic on going, this is scary.
Youve gotten better- this was somewhere near our 10th stay at your property. The room and bed and overall cleanliness was definitely improved. The flow of the lobby and overall operations for the hotel itself, but your subcontract with the valet/parking garage and the lack of transparency continues to be an issue. This same problem has happened multiple times. We are told there is a deal with the hotel and parking has been paid by a bride (hotel guest) that either covers or discounts parking- then, you do and say these instructions to the operators of the parking and one of the following happens:a) the parking desk says, you have to tell that to the desk (inside). Then you go to the desk and they say, thats the parking company and their separate.b) The parking desk says, we dont do that.c.) There is all of a sudden a language barrier that prohibits the communication and you pay full price anyway. This is obviously a problem that now reeks of collusion, mistrust and overall shadiness as well gouging by someone, if not both parties involved.
Super cute hotel, great location, love the access for to the restaurant that is inside the hotel, friendly staff, and rooms are clean and a nice size. Oh and the views are nice! I did have an issue with the air conditioner not working but everything else outweighed this nusisance.
The weekend stay was great location is good. many restaurants nearby. very walkable. I would stay here again. However, the pool was used frequently by guests and I dont think the floor around the pool was clean nor do I think the pool itself was cleaned enough for high use. I also think the hotel should use a high pressure wash to clean the areas near the outside entrance of hotel as this is a high traffic public area
We had problems with our stay from the time we called the hotel. I called and asked about checking in after being stranded in Philadelphia & told the person on the phone that and she booked us for a room for the next night. Which of course was a lower rate than your actual rate for that night. The staff was great about fixing it when we got there though, so, that was nice. Something was wrong with our locks and our keys never worked. Someone had to let us in to the room in order for us to leave. Which meant that I couldn’t really leave the room because then my disabled fiancé would be stuck in the room (without a phone btw because apparently, at night? the phones only get a busy signal no matter what button you press) until I could get someone to let me into my own room. On top of that, the bed was hard as a rock so I could barely sleep. Then in the morning, we topped it off with a flavorless egg white (which they said they could make with whole eggs but then didn’t) frittata from the restaurant. Overall not a great first experience. The staff was great but pretty much everything else other than the complimentary late checkout wasn’t so great.
Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Contemporary decor made it feel modern and the rooms came with blue tooth radio but at the end of the day it seemed like a glorified motel room with a skyline view of the city. I honestly expected more space and a mini bar inside my room. I personally wont be going back and would recommend other hotels in area that have a similar price with the amenities I listed above.
This was a really great stay. The room was big. The king bed we had was firm but comfy. The bathroom was roomy and had a great shower. Our room was really clean and smelled good. It is centrally located you Reading Terminal and Independence Square. My wife and I easily walked to both areas. I recommend to valet your car. They allow you to leave and comeback
Unfortunately, I felt disappointed by my stay at Loews Philadelphia. The cleanliness of the room was not on par to what I expected from a Loews property. There were areas of unknown substance on the shower curtain, walls, furniture, and bedding. I expected that rooms, especially during this time of pandemic, would be extra clean for the guests, and I was disappointed to find that it wasnt true for our stay. Also, I felt disappointed by a bit of false advertisement by Loews on the website. The room that I chose on the website was not the room that I received. The front desk staff informed me that the pictures that are used under the room descriptions are general pictures of rooms in their hotel and doesnt reflect the room that is listed on that particular room description. However, I felt that this is false because I showed them many room descriptions that did indeed show a difference in appearance depending on what room description it displayed for. The picture displays a glass enclosed walk in shower for the Deluxe Accessible Rooms but we were notified by front desk staff that none of the Deluxe Accessible Rooms have that type of shower. Instead, they have a shower that is not glass enclosed, with no barrier for water to fall all over the floor, possibly causing a slip hazard. I dont think I would have chosen to stay at Loews Philadelphia if Id known that this is the type of room I would have been given for that room type. So, it would be nice if that false advertisement would be corrected on the website with pictures that truly reflect the room type to avoid this problem for future guests.
I didn’t stay at the hotel but I did visit the spa and the massage was heavenly. The spa also had excellent service from the moment you walk in. Elliot at the front desk was awesome. Very down to earth and personable. My massage therapist was Kathy, she has magical hands. One of the best massages I’ve had in a while and I get massages a lot. I’ll definitely be returning soon.
I use a wheelchair and need an accessible guest room and bathroom, which is what I booked for July 4th. However, the bed in my room was WAY too high for me to be able to get into it, even with a transfer board. I suggested removing the frame to make it lower, which was done. Also, the phone didnt work, which was also fixed. To make amends for the inconvenience, the staff upgraded me to the best room in the house, an incredible suite on the 32nd floor from which I had a private view of the Art Museum fireworks! They didnt have to do that, having fixed the problems, but it made me feel the staff really wanted me to have a great experience. Im sure it was the nicest hotel suite I will ever stay in, as the normal price for it is totally out of my budget range.
Hotel and staff are great. Good location. Clean, pretty hotel. Iman in the coffee shop is a delight! I was disappointed that the restaurants and bars were not open at all so it was difficult to get something to eat or drink other than coffee. Hopefully that changes soon.
Conveniently located which was a plus, check in was easy- Got to the room and the disappointment started- Rooms were nice and big… As we started to get settled after multiple delays at the airport … We started noticing that all of the carpet was stained with brown throughout the entire room - Their was trash left on the counter by the TV, very gross walls (stuffed was splattered ) or just dirty - The toilet had tissue on it (extremely gross) so we contacted guest services and was moved to another room! Ok cool right ? No, we packed all of our belongings and when we entered that room the instant smell of a strong incense or some weird smell would not go away the walls were still gross and carpet was still dirty - We were exhausted and gave up on changing rooms again or calling guest services to let them know this room was no better - we decided we were only staying for one night but it was gross and we would’ve rather stayed in the first room vs. this room! Overall, the price was extremely high for these rooms that were gross! My first trip since the pandemic started and I was grossed out by this negligence and being the fact covid is still around it made me feel extremely unsafe due to unsanitary rooms!
We had a wonderful stay at Loews Philadelphia. However, I am specifically writing regarding the assistance I received from members of the security office. I had a package delivered after I checked out of the hotel, and over the course of a few phone calls, Officers Jerome, Michael and Brown helped me get the package to its correct destination. They were absolutely wonderful!
Not bad but not as good as it could be. The pool was down and the rooms AC was terrible. room stayed at 71-72 degrees, microwave or refrigerator was an up charge yet wine cooler was free which tells me family travel is not as important as party travel is to them. Location is however unbeatable for the price. Would stay again if traveling without my children for some reason.
Room was clean, cost of room seemed too much for the basic features. Views were good at the 23rd level, king bed was comfy, shower was nice (no tubs in these), people we knew staying in the double queen beds were convinced they were sleeping on a double or full, they were way smaller than their queens at home. The lack of room service was disappointing, overnight parking was WAY overpriced (Over $55/ night, local ones are like $25). The valet checkout process the day we left took over an hour, we waited roughly 30 min just in line, then another 30+ watching everyone but us get their cars. Friends of ours came 15 mins after us, yet they left in their cars in half the time we did. A nice man that seemed in charge of the valet area noticed this, came up and handled the situation. Within about 5 or 10 min we had our car, and he was very polite and apologetic. The rooms were nice but didnt seem extra special at the price point. Cleaners didnt come to the room the first day, on the 2nd day a woman knocked and when my boyfriend answered the door she just stared at him and said Rachel?. He was like yea thats my girlfriend. After a period of silence he had to inquire what she wanted and she said she was there to clean the room. I had added his name to the room during online checkout, so I was assuming they knew there were 2 guests. Just a strange encounter. My one friend had issues with her room key on the elevator a few times, but we didnt. We understand the hotel is likely under staffed due to covid, that there were several weddings over our stay (we were in 1 of the weddings), and its still a pandemic but these issues caused the experience to be just average.
** DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY**Usually I love staying with this brand... This hotel is definitely not a four-star hotel for this location. Checking in the hotel was pretty easy the girl who work the front desk was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for what was actually open around the area due to Covid. Upon checking into our first room it smells like smoke and we had a 95 mask on I am very sensitive to smell and especially smoke. We immediately called the front desk to request a new room. So we had to go to the front desk and get another set of room keys for the second room.Unfortunately upon arrival to the second room it’s still smelled like smoke my sister got light headed with the smell. We had a representative from the hotel come and smell the room. He advises that as well like a certain cigar scent and he could definitely smell it and it wasn’t normal.. he had us wait while they tried to get us another room. At this point waiting in the room with smoke made my sister and I very light headed. We know he was trying to make it easier for us so we didn’t have to move so much.. he went as fast has he could and we understand. He was wonderful for his service and effort. Having us wait in the room that smelt like smoke sucked. Elevators elevators even smell like smoke. I had to look up on the website listed as non smoking. The valet parking is actually the reason why we stayed there. Some hotels in the area do not do valet due to Covid. The valet staff was wonderful. Probably the only decent service we got.One thing that had me a little startled was the fact that there was a homeless guy sleeping in the lobby area on The couch. And no one seem to care..I’m really disappointed overall on how the beginning of my stay was here. Imagine traveling across the country, going to a medical conference and just waiting to rest in your room. Being bounced around and getting light headed from smoke. Our room we ended up in the air flow was bad. There was stains on the floor everywhere. Gum included. The table was dirty and dusty. We had to let the air run. The temperature of the room would not stay stable to what we set it to. We had our portable essential oil air filter thing so it helped with the odd smell in the room. This hotel quality isn’t like the Loews in Seattle where I’m from.. or any of the other locations..I hate to write bad reviews but this hotel makes me question staying at this brand ever again. We had two nights. Checked in late on arrival. So we just try to make the best of it. We avoided going back to our hotel has much as possible.
This is my 2nd time staying at the Loews Hotel I love it here. Parking is ridiculous it’s $45 a night plus an $11 tax so $56 a night just to park. But my housekeeper Charlotte has not allowed COVID 19 to affect her customers service. She was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Loews Hotel never let her go she is a rare breed of always treat people with respect even when no one is looking. We traveled a long way for the game and she made sure we felt right at home. Always a pleasure
My husband and I recently stayed at the Loews hotel in Philadelphia. The location of the hotel was great...walking distance from many restaurants and popular spots. The staff of the hotel was very welcoming, as well as being very courteous and efficient. We would love to stay there again if in Philadelphia.
We always stay here when we come to Philadelphia. Excellent rooms and location. Everyone who works there is very friendly. Even with all the necessary covid precautions, we always felt welcome. Bank and Bourbon is not to be missed for a drink before you start your evening. Thank you Sherri at the check in/out desk for being so friendly and helpful!
Upscale bustling hotel. 4/5 because I never received an offer for room service during my 4 night stay. Otherwise staff was helpful and friendly.Clean cozy rooms. Large tall shower. The room refrigerator was barely cold. We had to rent the microwave for $20 a night, once one was available. I expected extra sheets and pillows in the room. There were none. The towels are new, so there will be lint all over your body lol. I also would have liked a blue tooth mirror in thr bathroom. New nice hotels have them.I wish I was able to connect my Hulu/Netflix account through the tv.Last I asked an employee for a do not disturb sign, and never got it.All in all, I would stay here again maybe after checking out the competition.
Be aware the photos are deceiving. I decided to do a staycation for my birthday. I requested a jacuzzi tub and balcony for my room. I go to check in only to be told that the hotel doesnt have either and they never did. On top of that I learned that the restaurant, room service, and the pool were all closed due to Covid. Had I known all of these things prior to booking I would NOT have chose this hotel. I had some what of a nice view being on the 28th floor but it wasnt what I wanted. Now, being downtown I know you have to pay for parking BUT they wanted $50+ PER NIGHT to park in the hotel garage. Hotel parking should be free! Also, the small market that they have was supposed to be open from 7am to 1pm. When I got there, no worker was in sight. I asked the receptionist to be sure I had the hours of operation correct and they were correct. There werent any signs saying the worker stepped away or anything.
First of all I want to Thanks Elias Munna from front desk to be promising with Core Value of Hotel and treated and provided best care for us like family. If you really looking to explore city around also get best view of downtown from your room, and stay and park your car, Lowe’s is perfect hotel to approach. Lobby area is so clean and always smell fresh and have that floral fragrance that you’ll bring with you as memory of Lowe’s. I stayed on 27th floor in one of their corner king suite room. I got both east and west side views. View from room 2721 are mind blowing and you can still go to 33rd floor to enjoy view from common room. Everything is within 1 mile radius, we just walked through the town all day, Due to COVID it’s challenging time for everyone especially housekeeping but Loews staff made sure to accommodate our request on time. Elias Munna, from front desk, almost become my family member and he treated us like family and made our stay feel like 100%. Don’t forget about gratuity for housekeeping and parking folks. Eat, Enjoy and Explore
Room was spotless and had great amenities. No lack of outlets and free wifi good enough to stream with.Only possible negative was that someone had dropped a bottle of perfume in the lobby (I assume based on the smell).Friendly and attentive staff both at check in and car valet service.
Since before we decided where we want to stay during our short visit in Philly, we were browsing around and calling some hotels in Philly. July, the lady who answered our call she was so helpful and thorough explaining since we want higher floor room. She guided us and advised us so patiently. She was the reason why we choose Loews. When we arrived, it was Chary who helped us to check in. She was wonderful too and we felt so welcome. In terms of the room, the cleanness and the view, we were so happy about it and exceed our expectations. In terms of location, we think it was perfect because we stayed in a nice hotel which located in the heart of Philadelphia. My husband used the gym in the morning and he told me that he loved the gym as well. We will come back soonest since we based in DC and we love Philly. We definitely will recommend our family and friends to stay in Loews. See you soonest Philly, see you soonest Loews! x
I had a misunderstanding with this hotel in regards to my reservation. The local management was very reasonable and worked with me to resolve my issue. It is much appreciated and I will certainly look to stay at the Loews Hotel the next time I am in Philadelphia. Thank you.
Its not clear when or if the POD is open and the same is true of the resturant ,,,and is there a bar on the 10th floor? We could not tell what food and drinks were available in the hotel so we went out for everything. This is a great hotel that needs some temporary signs to help your guests understand as thinhs change from day to day.
Stayed for a 1-night stay-cation. The room was nice and clean, and they provided sanitizer and covered the remote to reduce risk of virus transmission. And Wifi was included, which is always a plus. Overall it was nice, but there was no room service, which was disappointing. And more importantly, there was a strange smell, like diesel exhaust or something burning, that wafted in around 9am. I was on the 25th floor, so Im not sure where it came from, but it was the only real negative of the room.
This is the first hotel Ive stayed at since the pandemic happened. Currently there is a promo that includes parking at Center City. This was really what tipped our decision. Overall stay was seamless. Call me a dinosaur but call service can be done by text messages nowadays which is a first for me!
A very nice property with beautiful vistas on the upper floors. I was on 29 in a corner unit and loved the views. Rooms immaculate. Pillows a little small. All in all a pleasant stay. The team at the Grab n Go cafe were lovely. Really enjoyed Philadelphia and will return sometime.
TLDR: if you get the parking + breakfast package, make sure you check your receipt!Stayed 2 nights. Paid $50 more per night to get parking and breakfast included. The breakfast was handled with a $50 per diem at the hotel restaurant. I thought it would be valid for the last 2 mornings of the stay---instead, I was told upon checking in that it was valid for that same afternoon/evening and the following morning, and that it was indeed $50 each day, but that breakfast wasnt included the 3rd morning. This policy seemed strange, since the website said the package was for free breakfast, so I double-checked later by calling the front desk. I spoke with a different person, who confirmed exactly what the first person said: the package included $50 credit for the first day and another $50 for the second day, and that I could indeed use the first days credit towards dinner. When I checked out 2 days later, I immediately noticed on my checkout receipt that the $50 credit was not applied to the meal I ordered on the first day. I called the front desk, and spoke with Sherry, explaining the situation. First she said, No problem, the credits are applied manually, so somebody probably just forgot. After looking into it, she said The credit is for $50 total, or $25 per day. No, thats not right, I explained. Then she said, Its $50 breakfast only---the other credit didnt apply since it was a dinner. Again, I explained this was not what I was told by two different people. Finally, she said, No problem, Ill add back the $50 credit. No apology. I was completely satisfied with the hotel up to that point, but with the way I was first mischarged, and then had to argue against the charge... ugh.
Having stayed in one of the city view rooms on the upper floors, the view was superb. The room was simply unbelievable with a sublime bed (in this case a California King) and clean, comfortable, bedding. The room was in immaculate condition with modern furnishings. It provided a beautiful bathroom with spacious shower devoid of any rust or mold hiding away somewhere. From the moment I had arrived the staff were deeply professional and kind. Not even minutes after entering my room and I received a text from staff inquiring if everything was as expected and advising me that I could text at any time for room services, which was far and away a notch above any other hotel experience Ive had. Overall, Loews Philadelphia was a complete class act.Furthermore, as a photographer I had booked the room simply in order to capture a photo of the Philadelphia skyline in order to print it as a family Christmas gift. If youre looking for a wonderful view of the city, this is it. I had no problem requesting a room with the best view from the staff who received my call when I booked it. They double checked the building layout and got me booked into a room which would provided me with the view I was looking for, so cheers to their booking staff as well.
I stay regularly at the Lowes PHL and they have done a great job during the pandemic to accommodate their guests within the parameters that have been imposed on them. Now that things are opening up more, its nice to see the hotel springing back to life! Its a great staff and they deserve to have a chance to show what they can do again!!
Large bright hotel room in downtown Philly. I saw several silverfish in the room in broad daylight. Other than that it seemed clean. The neighborhood is overly touristy. So if you want to stay near chain everything while being harassed by panhandlers then its the spot for you.
I really enjoyed the nice rooms which were kept very clean. The rooms were spacious and bright with a desk area that would be sufficient for business travelers. The lounge area near the main entrance was a nice gathering place with a full bar. The drinks and food were quite pricy and they do not allow you to bring your own beverages. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.
Good Location, Terrible service (Especially if you book at a discounted rate). I travel often and am a member of a travel club, therefore I always book travel, attractions, sights, even movie tickets at a discount. I visited the Loews for Valentine’s Day and the front desk lady, Chary, was extremely rude. Only reason was because I booked through my travel club. I booked a king room and she assigned me a double queen, stating that “when you book a cheap room, you get whatever is left over”. When i said “what does it matter where I booked my room, I booked a Queen room” she was very condescending and kept saying “Like I said” “we are sold out for the night”. She didn’t even allow me to upgrade for a King room that I booked. Very rude!
Decided to do a staycation with my wife for our anniversary. This hotel is prime location for walking around. Theres the fashion district, Chinatown, city hall, and plenty to do and see towards the south. The room was beautiful and comfy, and the views! Oh the views were fab! Only thing I would have liked.... maybe a welcome pack, or something that most places give you nowadays that have things to do and such. But overall, would definitely come here again!
Pros:- Great location- Good rates- Nice rooms- Really good service, staff was on point. Lines were 40ppl deep to check in, only took 5 minutes to get through the line. Same with valet parking (pro tip: call the concierge ahead of time to have your car ready)- Clean hotel, especially considering how big and crowded it can get- They have a revolving door by the bar that sometimes stops unexpectedly when too many people try to go through. Grab a drink and watch all of the people that arent paying attention when they walk through and it stops, its absolutely hilariousCons:- If they are sold out, you likely cant check in before 4pm- It gets pretty crowded sometimesOverall great experience and probably the best hotel in Philly.
My daughter and I drove down on whim for a quick trip to Philadelphia. I was able to complete last minute booking at Loews via Expedia. The hotel was in a great location, near most of the places we wanted to visit, and had tons of options in terms of dining nearby. Our room, despite the underwhelming view, was really nice. The only con was I found trash from a previous guest in the top drawer of the TV cabinet, which made me question whether the room had been cleaned thoroughly and properly (I was in room 1613). Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would return.
From 11:00 p.m -145am, you only had one bartender staffing the lobby bar and you had a wedding in your building on a BUSY Saturday evening. We were not even able to get enough drinks for our party of 10. You lost out on a lot of money at the bar and it poor customer service in my opinion to be understaffed last night. Our bathroom was not cleaned very well. But all in all, we love the Loews and we are willing to overlook a few hiccups due to your good reputation that we have had with you over the past 5 years... We will be back !12-15-2018: When I stay over in Philadelphia whether on business or pleasure the Loews Hotel is always my first choice. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and on point. The texting Communication Service with the front desk staff is very good. We even had a problem with the heater air conditioner unit in r room and they sent an engineer up and had it fixed within an hour. The betting is clean soft and very comfortable the large flat screen TVs are excellent the location is downtown so you are near everything. This has been my 14th time staying theyre over the past 3 years and I will be back!
Im leaving a one star because they actually had a room. However for anything else if youre looking for a hotel experience this isnt the place. No room service. The hours for their services are weird. The floor were on had no ice for room. Theyre no cleaning service. No one brings anything to your room you have to grab everything. The other clients who stay are either rude, uppity, or arrogant. Im not sure what hotel these other reviews went too, but it sure wasnt this place. Because this is the least recommended hotel in the city.
Displaced from flood. Loews Philadelphia valet “lost” my car key.I live in Philadelphia near Manayunk and my house flooded because of the Schuykill River flooding. No power, no running water. I’m lucky that I didn’t lose more of my possessions; only an inch or so of water came to the main floor. I know a lot of people who are worse off.I decided to make a weekend of my temporary homelessness and stay downtown at the Loews Philadelphia. I tipped well, was a good guest overall. On the last day of my stay, I got my car back, and low and behold, the back cover of my key is loose. My car has keyless access/push button start, but there is a physical backup key concealed within the fob. That physical backup key is missing. I go back to the hotel, get the runaround from the front desk manager and valet manager.
Everything was exceptional. I was simply surprised that the TV did not allow for local sports - I couldnt watch the Phillies game (not a big deal, just a comment). And it would be nice if I could simply order additional room amenities (coffee pods, water bottles, etc.) through a webpage or app - but I totally support the idea of reducing COVID exposure risks and not cleaning rooms everyday - please keep it up!
Bed was comfortable. But wasnt what I expected especially to stay in center city. $280.00-$300.00 from 11pm-til 1pm and extra for parking plus $54.00 another 1 more person wasnt worth it plus more for late check out never again even if it was a free stay smh. Should automatically have 2 peron no charge fee smh... No microwave, now good food, no pool, no jacuzzi. I only had a great time cause I wasnt alone. Caught the bus down to 2nd street cheesesteak place that was more fun and food was great.
Beautiful hotel in historic building. Walkable to shopping, restaurants, historical sites. No on-site self parking. Rooms show a little wear but are clean and well furnished. Nice views of the city from room. Heard more traffic noise than expected, but not enough to disturb our sleep. The lobby was a little crowded during special events. The hotel arranged babysitting service on our behalf, which was pricey but worth it. Received excellent service from the valet, front desk, room service, and housekeeping. Service at the concierge desk was hit or miss.
This was the greatest disappointment of Loews Hotel I have experienced. From inadequate customer service, cleanliness to overall experience, just a disaster.- I booked for 3 nights with an American Express, but there were no amenities the hotel could offer. Never book with them directly, book with a Travel agent or online reseller as you will get more value.- Front desk utterly rude. I am used to Loews Boston being the best you can find, but here in Philadelphia seems unlikely they received the same training. They were neither knowledgeable nor helpful.- You can usually get information of how to contact them via text, this time none of that was given. When I tried to contact them using the text message service number I found on their website, the reply came 3 hours later. Just horrible.- Late check out was not possible in any shape or form. Usually during covid times you get up to 3 or 4 pm, or you get the option to pay an extension. I explained to them my experience in other hotels of this same brand, and my willingness to pay but still their blank expression told me they could care less.- The hotel was dirty. i understand it was understaff due to the times we are living, but still, it makes no excuse if you still charge the same prices for your stay. There was literally bags of trash on the halls.- Security was weak. At least twice there were homeless with visibly mental health issues screaming on the lobby.- Bar service was so bad. I was looking forward to relax at the bar, understanding it had limited hours, but the bartender was on his phone and the service took ages. The chacuterie I bought (because to drink you have to buy food) it was stale and just so poorly presented. It was depressing, to be honest. It was a celebratory weekend in a city that I was visiting for the first time and this was just the worst.A poor representation of what the Loews brand inspires in many other parts of the country and the world.
Overall the hotel was nice. Our first stay at a Loews property. The reason I have to knock my rating down to 3 stars is that both nights of our stay my wife and I sweated all night long. We called maintenance who came promptly to the hotel’s credit but told us the AC was working properly. When we went to bed the room was cool but during the night the room got progressively warmer as if the hotel regulates the A/C while you sleep or it’s motion activated. Whatever the case, despite the bed being very comfortable, it was not restful nights sweating like we did. We can’t see staying at this property again at least during warm months.
First let me start by stating that I had someone visiting from another state so I figured I would book here. Lowes had me fill out a form so they can authorize charges to my credit card so that I wouldnt have to physically be there when the person arrived. Except when the guest got there I was called stating I had to come in so they can charge my card, I explained to the lady in the front desk I signed the form to skip all this and she said sorry there was a glitch on our end and you need to come in. I came in slid my card she said it was declined I said thats impossible she said slide it again in which I did she said it declined again. Then long and behold I get 2 notifications from my credit card company I got charged twice on top of the original room charge, I showed her and she apologized and said she didnt understand why that happened. She called over a gentleman to help her to reverse the charges in which he did. She said everything was okay 2 days later I wake up to 2 more notification from Capital One stating that there were 2 more charges each for $231.56. I call and they say im sorry billing is not available on weekends now I get angry the manager Latoya states she reversed the charges except 2 days later the charges were still there and my company states they never did. I kept getting run arounds and I still have a charge waiting for them to fix. Long story short stay far away from Lowes they obviously dont know what theyre doing, unprofessional dont follow through I had to keep calling back the worst nightmare ever. To top it off the guest asked me do they not clean the room daily I said theyre suppose to in to which he says no they never did my whole stay 3 whole days.
2020 has been a really tough year. Easily the biggest highlight for us was our wedding which just preceded the onset of the COVID pandemic. And we will be eternally thankful to the Loews for providing the rooms/suites for the wedding party as well as a gorgeous skyline view room for our farewell brunch. Andreea and the whole Loews team could not have been more professional or responsive and helped us come up with a wonderful custom brunch buffet. They even accommodated our request to have the wedding party on the same floor despite being completely booked up—it meant a lot. And let’s not forget being able to take our getting ready and first-look photos in one of the most historic buildings in Philadelphia (and for that matter, the nation!) The incredible art-deco architecture views were an incredible bonus! At the end of a very long and happy day, we got back to our suite to find a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and custom pillow covers—so thoughtful!Thank you so much to the whole Loews team—we will never forget your help and we’d highly recommend your hotel to any couples looking for an amazing venue to be part of their special day.Raina and Ben
XChosen for its proximity to my desired activities, this hotel delivered! From the high floor vistas (sunset was spectacular), spacious room & bathroom, to the lobby lounge/bar area & nicely appointed & maintained pool & workout room, this hotel was impressive. The valet parking, lobby check-in & 24hr room service were all excellent, staff was friendly & courteous. And I have to comment on the pet friendly policy & menu -- a very nice touch!! My only complaint was that the room lacked seating other than the desk chair, so visitors were left with the floor or bed upon which to perch. There was ample space by the windows, so not sure why a small lounger and table werent provided.
It’s centrally located right in downtown Philadelphia and so the usual homeless and people in distress lay right outside this iconic hotel. The hotel is inviting though the front door is understated. You could miss it. The lobby is very downtown chic and the staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. There was something that needed cleaning in my room. I told the staff and they sent someone who replaced it with a new one! That’s where they lost the star. This appears to be the place where wedding parties stay. I saw at least three. The video below was streaming down the street just as we arrived.
Encounter screaming and long verbal confrontation around 3.30 am. My wife complain to guest and probably staff on 17th floor. This did not stop - I open the door and complain and a person came to me and ask me to call front desk. I found phone not working.....This continued almost 1 hr....

2022-01-02Ive stayed in a wide range of hotels here and abroad. Loews Philadelphia ranks with the best of them. We were there for a wedding and so were exposed to your facilities and food. The quality of service is unsurpassed. I always felt comfortable and was able to enjoy two days with family and friends. I was really impressed with the hotel decor. It was attractive and cosmopolitan, but what I think impressed me most was the way the design flows consistently throughout the building. That is an amazing achievement.

2022-04-26We had a decent time at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room was clean. Beds were small for a family of 4. Hotel food options on the steep price side. Would consider another trip for my wife and me, but not the 4 of us.

2022-04-22One of the best hotels Ive ever stayed in! We will definitely come back next time were in Philly. Our luxury double room was large, clean, and bright with huge windows and a stunning view of the city! Beds were wonderful, downtown location is fantastic, and without exception every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

2022-02-14Wow. This hotel is really nice. But I was harassed by the security while sitting in the lobby area with my bags. I was profiled, and they thought I was just using their hotel to stay warm. All the while, I paid for a two night stay. I explained to the guy I was waiting for my girlfriend to come down with her key to let me up. Long story short, the security guard apologized, but the damage was already done!! Also, I was charged an extra $35 for a mini fridge! I really can’t understand how I paid top dollar to stay here and couldn’t even get a complimentary refrigerator. Staying here was a disaster. Nothing special, but the view outside of the window. If you’re black, just be aware, they do profile, and it was by another black person. Needless to say I will be staying at a different hotel next time, or maybe even an AirBNB (where you get a refrigerator) !! But I will not waste my money here again.

2022-02-22Even though we played musical rooms trying to get a king sized bed, everyone was super nice. The rooms were beautiful and we had a relaxing stay. Breakfast was kind of hit or miss, mostly miss, but the hotel itself was amazing and the staff were top notch.

2022-05-11Wow, what a sophisticated and beautiful hotel! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and the view from the 22nd floor was incredible. My one and only critique is that the towels were incredibly hard and felt like sandpaper - yuck. Otherwise a great hotel!

2022-02-02On our visit to Philadelphia we initially stayed at the W hotel and I regret not booking our entire stay at Loews. We checked out of the W to go to the Loews for our last few days. The check in process was super easy and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. I requested a room with a nice view and she provided us with a corner room (room 2217) with an amazing view She was delighted to get me a great room. The room itself was cozy, spacious, clean and full of natural sunlight. The location of the hotel itself is perfect and walking distance to everything you need (Wawa directly across the street, 7/11 on the corner, the Reading Terminal market which is a MUST visit) My only issue was the valet parking per night. The sign says $45+tax for guest but after you are charged it becomes $55. I would definitely park elsewhere on my next stay because this is too much for guest parking especially when you tip the valet it becomes more like $65 a night for parking. Other than that I would be returning in the future if this is always the quality of this hotel.

2022-05-03Loews has the best customer-oriented staff Ive seen in a long time! Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very, very clean and the bed was so comfortable to sleep in. I got better sleep there than I do at home. I highly recommend this hotel.

2022-06-28There was pee stains all over the room. We stayed in the luxury king room expecting it to be a little cleaner and nicer, but we were very disappointed when we did notice the stains. Also very disappointed the pool was not open. It was one of the selling points for us when we booked it, so we were super upset to hear its still closed for covid. Definitely a nice view but not worth $350 a night with the cleanliness and the extra expenses for things such as parking.

2022-04-27I stayed here for my birthday. Overall with tax and fees I paid $306 at that rate I was expecting a clean well polished room. These rooms are outdated and definitely not worth the price. I wanted to take pictures but it slipped my mind before I checked out this morning. If you are looking for a luxurious stay this isn’t the place. The bathroom needs to be repainted the blinds in the bathroom were rusted. I stayed in 2217. I saw dust bunnies. Luckily I always bring wipes and Lysol spray.
