Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Employers are usually rude and not helpful, they act like it’s a burden to help from past experiences. They don’t have the colors to make dark paint when Home Depot did, they need to learn to order merchandise correctly. Don’t even get me started on the delivery company they go with. Awful! Save time and go to Home Depot l, especially when needing paint
We purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in November, 2021. There was a problem with the water dispenser at installation so Lowes replaced it free of charge. The replacement unit had a faulty shelf. Since it was under 1 year warranty, Lowes told me to call Kenmore for service. After MULTIPLE calls to Kenmore with no response, I spoke to Chuck at our Lowes who was EXTREMELY helpful and professional. I will personally never purchase another Kenmore product due to their poor customer service, but I will definitely purchase from Lowes on Asbury.
Customer service was absolutely terrible. I had to call customer service on the phone while at the store after I already talk to someone at customer service and they denied my return because I didn’t have a receipt even though I just wanted to exchange the item. waited on hold for 30 minutes and then the woman on the phone told me the refund was OK to do so I go back to the clerk at the counter and she’s gone and I have to deal with a gentleman who is incredibly rude and will not even get on the phone with the lady that’s trying to say I can do the refund!! Absolutely terrible experience do not recommend booooo
Love Lowes. We left our cart of wood, plumbing, and crown molding off to the side while we quickly finished shopping. Our favorite employee (Stan is it? Funny helpful gentleman who works over in tools)... Anyway, before deeming the cart abandoned, him and his coworker remembered I had blue hair and tracked me down In the store, to ask if that was my cart. That right there.... Hands on customer service!
Saw some really nice lights on clearance that I was interested in. It took over 5 minutes to find an associate to help, who admitted he wasnt from the department. There were bone on the shelves and he seemed to say they could sell the display. He said he could try and get it down, or an electrician might have to do it and they could hold it for me. He got a ladder, climbed up, and then an associate in street clothes walking by said they dont sell the displays. He checked other stores, but said they probably wont honor the clearance price. Why are several items on display that arent even for sale? This light has 3 varieties, all displayed and all not for sale. What makes this even funnier is they all had tags that said New with a small remove date in April 2020. I called the other Erie store, they have 6, but the associate said her manager had said several times before they wont mark down/honor lower prices just because other stores have it lower.
They got decent stuff at a decent price. They have a lot of grills to choose fromAnd the patio stuff is always nice.I got my stove there and Im very happy with it.I buy my PVC pipe here for the zombies I make for my Lake City HellOween Spooktacular muhahahahahahaha. Along with some other supplies for the festive helloday👻👹😵They also have a great selection of tools, power tools and such.I like the blow-ups they have during the holidays, a big thumbs up for that. And cant forget about the plants and flowers and trees they have along with the supplies to take care of them. Also the fence posts and fencing, like the chicken wire I us for the Lake City HellOween Spooktacular 🎃We make ghosts 👻 outta chicken wire, very cool stuff.Muhahahahahahaha 😵
You cant find any customer service people on the floor. I had to run all the way up to the customer service desk and ask them to find someone, then wait 10 minutes more for them to show up. This has happened the last couple times I went to this store. Also, stock is down, each time I go there is at least one item I need out of stock. This use to be my favorite place to shop, customer service was great, now no staff on the floor. Sad..I hope things improve soon.
I went to the Lowe’s on Asbury after not being able to get what I wanted at the Lowe’s on Peach. After asking for assistance from 2 employees there and getting no help, I was about to leave the store. This associate, named Misty stopped and asked did I need some help. She was absolutely amazing! She got me the air conditioner I needed, dehumidifier and even helped me with a vanity. She was so patient, kind and helpful. I couldn’t have gotten what I needed without her help. Lowe’s needs more employees like this young lady. She is what customer service is all about.
Great experience! We went to get paint for the deck, and Im glad that Chris was there to help us out. We were on the wrong path, but Chris talked us through everything and put us on the right track. Thank you Chris! Well be coming back to Lowes for all of our painting projects, and hopefully getting Chris to help us out!
Normally I would leave a better review but last night there were no employees to be found and I unfortunately needed help. The plumbing dept as usual was in disarray and I needed a specific configuration. The help button wasnt answered for 10+ minutes nor could I find anyone. Usually Lowes is great though so cant leave an actual BAD review.
Im giving lowes on 2 stars because there were only 2 self checkout lanes open, with one cashier, on a Fri evening at 6pm!! They finally called a 2nd cashier to help with checkout, only on the self checkout, not a regular line. Very poor service. Picking up the mulch outside was ok, at least there were 2 cashiers in the garden area, you pay for it there, then go through the line, where the guys loading it were friendly and it was efficient that way.
Kirk has helped me very very much. He listens to me as I try to explain what Im doing and has always had a great attitude. He patient and kind. He also either tells me what isle in need for what I want or he takes me to that aisle and pick it off shelf for me. Hes just great in all ways.
This place is awful... At least 1 in every 3 trips, I am looking for an item that is showing in stock on their app, only to get there and have a worker tell me they are likely on a crate in the back or that the night stocking crew misplaced them. Most frustrating place on earth. Wish we had a Home Depot on the west side. I go to true value or valu home for as much as I can to stay out of this place.
2 stars because I needed some help with bath/shower plumbing parts. I took my old parts with me. I was told employee really knew his stuff in that area. Well obviously not cause I got home and it was not even close to what I needed. The parts didnt even look the same at all! I even asked are you sure and response was oh yeah, 100%. All I ask is if you dont know then dont say you do. Wasted my time and had to go back again to return wrong parts.
Wide variety, good quality tools. You can get anything you need for just about any home project and its a way more convenient location than the one on Peach Street. The only issue is that the employees can be ghosts. You think you spot one then they disappear the only exception to this is the appliance section where I bet they get commission.
I decided to try their installation service on a faucet I wanted to purchase. Was asked to pay $35 upfront so that an installer would call me to arrange an analysis visit to determine installation cost. Paid the fee and was told on a Thursday morning that would happen within 48 hours. Called on Monday morning to report no one had contacted me and was told to expect a call by the end of the day. After no contact by Wednesday afternoon, I requested a refund and went shopping for a real plumber. Lost almost a week by trying their installation service.
I visit this place regularly. Its nice that most of the items on the website show where they are in the store because some stuff could be a mystery to find. But the staff here is very helpful and informative if youre looking for advice on tools or a project. Prices are typical usual pretty decent. Its a bit cookie cutter in layout but the staff is some of the best for a Lowes store Ive been to. Especially back in windows and doors. A gentleman named Brian is very good at what he does and is very experienced. He definitely had some great insights on our renovation project.
Lowes has great memorial day sales. You cannot beat $2 for a bag of mulch. The staff is friendly, but not always knowledgeable. I was looking for red currant bushes and the employee at the front of the garden section told me that she had no idea because that was not her work section. She found an employee who knew more about it and I was told that did not have any at this time. I also requested help to put the mulch into my car trunk, but by the time I got to my car the employee who was supposed to help me had disappeared. I somehow managed on my own. I have to admit that they have quite a nice selection of flowers and bushes. I did not see any fruit trees or fruit bushes.
This place is great even if they dont have what youre looking for you can combine a couple things and make it yourself I made my own studded zip ties for snow tires by by buying 36-in zip ties and then putting the little 4-in zip ties around them then you zip tie them around your tire
I gave Lowes a 5-star rating because the store is clean, well organized and well stocked. I was shopping for pea gravel and I was able to locate it without assistance almost immediately. For those needing help there are enough employees available for just that. I will definitely return to this store in the future for supplies for my projects
LOWE’S on Westside curbside pickup all messed up. When we called, kid delivering items to customer’s car got all confused picked up cars whoever he sees. I called, he hung up and lost sequence of our presence there and started serving haphazard. There were only 3 cars! Multi tasking is not everybody’s thing.
Internet information was incorrect. Went twice to get lumber cut, was told twice why they couldnt do it. I had to hunt down someone to help me, who also claimed they didnt know where I could find 3screws in the smallest quantity available. Customer service sucks 👎, but I finally found what I was looking for on my own. Fair and reasonable prices, good selection of merchandise.
Lowes has not figured out to provide pick up service. They dont have clear directions on your order or at the store as to where to pick up your order. There isnt any way to quickly indicate that you are there to pickup. And they dont set aside your order, instead waiting until you arrive to go retrieve the items.
I go here when I need tools. They have so many tools. I dont think they have EVERY tool, but they have so many tools I cant imagine what theyre all for. But I want them all. I want one of every tool. You know that old saying that isnt always true? That a man is only as good as his best tool? You want a surgeon with skills and a steak knife, not a bum with a titanium scalpel?Bunch of horseradish. All tools are amazing and better than human hands. And what skills do you need? Reading comprehension. Tools usually come with a manual and you can always ask Greg. Greg knows his tools. In fact, just ask Greg. Throw away the manuals.Lowes got tools.
Ive been a regular customer of Lowes for years. Yesterday I purchased $30 worth of garden supplies and was planning on using a seldom given 20% coupon. When I gave the coupon to the clerk, she told me the coupon was only good if I purchased a minimum of $50. I was disappointed and at the same time upset considering I spend hundreds of dollars a year at this home improvement store! Retailers like Lowes need to start showing their loyal customers they appreciate their repeated business and offer them coupons more often with no dollar amount stipulations! Maybe Lowes and Home Depot should follow Harbor Freights lead and provide more discount coupons to their customers.
Staff I have dealt with are not top shelf. I have decided to give their competition a try. I have built 5 houses from the foundation up using Lowes as my exclusive supplier and when I cant get staff to pull a load of lumber for me I need a new supplier. I am a 100% disabled veteran in a wheelchair and I spent 2 hours trying to get lumber pulled. Finally got a manager to get the lumber pulled, however even though the store manager was supposed to be on sight and I asked to speak with them I never got a face to face with them. This is my first time dealing with Lowes in Erie Pennsylvania the Lowes I dealt with in Maine is a different experience and they were top shelf. The difference was night and day.
Bought a Bosch dishwasher from “Jim” who told us we’d have to have a contractor disconnect the old dishwasher before they would take it away and install the new one. So I paid a contractor to do that. Lowe’s comes to bring the dishwasher and I ask how long it’s going to take for them to install it. “Uh, we don’t install them. I don’t know why they keep telling people that. You need a contractor for that”If I’d have known that I’d have had the contractor come AFTER they delivered it. Now I get to pay an extra service call from the same contractor. Last appliance I ever buy from Lowe’s. Shenanigans. Salesperson is either unqualified to be finishing out the transactions or inept.
Lowes is my go to home improvement store. My experience on this past visit was unsatisfactory. I was looking for a particular item and the person in the paint department did not know what epoxy was. It took a second person to point me to the correct aisle. Usually employee at know know the location of most items and definitely know the use of items in their area.I guess I found one that is the exception to the rule.
I went to this Lowes to return an item, and they snotty kid they have working there didnt even ask if I wanted the return on a gift card or not.So, she without my permission put it back onto my credit card, which would take 6 days to refund!! That is why I wanted the refund on their gift card so I could get something else that day. Hire mature people that are not snotty, and with an attitude!!.
I was told by Blake in appliances they would not load my high end Bosch dishwasher at purchase however they did it no problem !How unfortunate that kind of disinformation could thwart sales to be sure . Stan is very accurate in his information and has superior customer service skills ! It’s a pleasure to be helped by Stan , BE LIKE STAN😊
Twice now Ive had bad experience at the pick up desk. First time they couldnt get my card to work at the pick up desk, so they had to get me checked out at the customer service desk. Then the second time, while I was waiting for the associate to get my stuff that I was picking up, I grabbed something off the shelf to purchase. When the associate got back with my pick up items, I placed the additional item I was going to purchase on the desk, he stood there for about 5 to 10 seconds looking at me, then in a smarta$$ manner says Im not a cashier - I as a customer, dont know what you are. If you force me to pay for pick up items at the pick up desk, after I already did that online, I dont see why I cant pay for items off the shelf with a card. Leave your bad attitude at home. Ive worked at places where you would get fired for customer service like that.
Lowes understands customer service. Id like to recognize two delivery drivers that delivered my washer and dryer. Hysni and Mark went above and beyond to provide A+ customer service and to ensure that I was happy with my product and installation. Through no fault of the delivery team the dryer arrived damaged. Before I even noticed the damage they pointed it out to me and asked if I wanted a discount or replacement. I opted for a replacement. It was a special order dryer so I expected a 2 week wait. Hysni and Mark gladly installed the damaged dryer and let me know that they would swap it out with the new one once it arrived. They later had a delivery in Hermitage, an hour and a half away. While they were making their delivery they took it upon themselves to check with the Hermitage Lowes for the dryer...….low and behold they had one. Hysni and Mark grabbed it off the top shelf, unboxed it to check for damages and delivered it to me the very next day - Sunday! Thats what good customer service is about!! Thank You!!
This is my favorite of all the Lowes. The man who works in tool section always cutting jokes is extremely helpful, and makes the shopping trip a lot easier. The young man who works in paint, he goes tremendously out of his way to be extremely helpful and clear on instructions or tips.
Pray you never need a complicated return, requiring any thought! I purchased two clocks both marked on sale for $29. I had some other returns as well that day ... At the and if my transaction, I asked why my receipt showed $49 for the one clock and if I could be refunded the difference THAT I CLEARLY OVERPAID. The employee took my receipts to the side and conversed with her co-workers. They took a long time in between petting someones exciting canine that had been brought to the store. The supervisor of the area, once she was done with another transaction, admiring the dog, etc. said to her employees who were looking at my receipts, DID I MISS SOMETHING? Im not quite sure why she was upset with them, as they were trying to assist me ... Perhaps she felt they were standing around when they should have been working? Anyway, this supervisor (I wont call her a leader) of the area, didnt try and even hear the situation, she also had me right there and didnt even speak with me, but she sure knew I could hear what she was saying as she flat out stated they couldnt do anything for me .... I found it to be a passive aggressive method to employ with a customer right there (not addressing me, but letting me hear the NO!). Its also a very aggressive manner that she demonstrated with the staff of the department. I guess I at least understand now why the employees of this department seems so miserable whenever I visit the store ... In fact, while there, I overheard them speaking ill of customers a couple of different times, one while a customer was on hold on the phone. As if that would be okay in any customer service environment, especially where Im standing right there!? Lowes has a tremendous liability with their returns area at this store. This all prompted me to drive 24 miles in traffic to get both clocks, whereupon, again with receipts, I presented the same problem. At this time, the supervisor tried to blame the other employee, saying that she had been told something else related to my return and that she had been helping another customer so she didnt understand the nature of my request the first time. I wanted to say: Werent you petting a dog instead of helping with my situation? Instead I said: No, I heard her tell you correctly that I have been overcharged for one of the clocks. The supervisor did not apologize, she said she just walked away and went somewhere out of sight, leaving her teammate to handle the now very awkward return! Thats when I told the employee I feel bad that she has to work with such a *itch of a miserable excuse for a leader. I stand by that because poor leaders like this take years off employees lives and they cost companies into the millions. It isnt ok to behave like that.Lowes management really needs to do some conflict resolution training for these employees!I was never really apologize to after all this. The one employee did say sorry in a quiet way a couple of times, but the supervisor had every opportunity to make this right, but she didnt even care! So, I went to my car and got the rest of my purchases, and returned them. Im expecting nearly $900 back in my account, and Im going to take the approximately $9,500 that I intended to spend on a new kitchen to Home Depot. I have found our Erie Home Depot to have better prices, and much better customer service and selection. Plus, theyre great with returns. In truth, Im saddened to Ive had this experience because I dont think Ill be returning to Lowes for a long time. Ive given them maybe $15,000 dollars in the past few years and I wish I could take every penny elsewhere now.Its better to spend money online and in stores that have better front-end employees. I never spoke with the store manager, here, but I hope someone higher up reads this and realizes what a liability they have in the returns department.
Went to get another flowering cherry tree...last years tree didnt make it through the winter. Selection was slim, but got one. If this one doesnt live, I saved the receipt and additional paperwork. It has a one year guarantee. Wooden stakes I wanted were all the way at the other side of the store...ugh. I just wanted them to stake up a few plants...should have had some in the garden shop.I like the store...easy to find stuff, plus the employees are very helpful.
In my experienceVery helpful in the Paint, Tools and Appliance departments.Plumbing departments sold me the wrong part and they could be a lot more knowledgeable in the outdoor power equipment area. (Lawn tractors)...But overall theyre usually very helpful and knowledgeable.
Over the 7 years of our endless home remodeling...Ive grown to love this store. There are a couple stand out employees who make the whole experience even better. The gentleman who works in the area where the drills, bits, saws etc. Are located, is a stand up guy who is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and will even crack some funny jokes at times! Another employee is a very young man in the paint department. This young man went above and beyond to help me and my husband, more than any other employee in the paint department has before. This young man in detail explained how to use the weathered look paint, since they stopped making it in spray paint form. Lowes is our second home, and they do have everything we need!
Lost my cell in the store. My wife phoned(10:10 a.m. 5/29/19 to see if the phone was found)The lady in customer service was RUDE and short with her.WISH the wife would have gotten the employees name.I went back to Lowes to look.IF IT WASNT FOR MR.SEAN H.(Harring?) ID BE SOURCING ELSEWHERE.He went above and beyond to help me.Lowes needs to look to people like Sean for leadership. He alone kept a valuable large customer.I work as a general contractor in the area.We source around $40,000-$50,000 worth of materials at this location per year.Thank you Mr.Sean H.
I was very disappointed with Lowes!!! Went there to get 2 pieces of gutter to fix what the snow had broken over the winter. They dont carry that kind any more... So we have to purchase a whole new gutter system!!! Then on top of that, they didnt even have everything at the summit store so I had to go all the way over to the west side of Erie to get it all. Opposite way from where I live!!! Thank goodness the gas isnt expensive....lol!!!
Lowe’s broke the granite counter top on delivery of a kitchen and refuse to replace the item they broke. We now have a kitchen we can’t use. I do not recommend buying a kitchen or having anything delivered from them as they will rip you off and leave you out of pocket
I went to SELF CHECKOUT to have an employee treat me as if I were stupid. He hovered over me the entire time and was in my personal space. I go to self checkout to not deal with people, and this is not the case. It’s the same way at Home Depot too! It’s absolutely ridiculous!
Quite expensive and for the love of all things holy do NOT purchase an appliance from this chain. Warrenty or not you will receive NO support if the appliance break. They stock no repair parts and only refer you to the lowes website. You have been warned. Store manager (not department manager) was even less helpful with complete disregard. Dont use this store unless its an online purchase used for in store pick up.
I needed wooden fence panels so went to Lowes which they said they had( on peach , from Girard) get trailer get there and they were sold to other customers already.they should of told me that in the first place.thwy owe me ,for me going all the way there and them not having any.make it Right Lowes no communication there or at least poor communication.
I am a Millcreek resident and long time Lowes customer. I have always enjoyed shopping at the Asbury store because of the location and prices. This changed today when I experienced poor customer service by a cashier and your custom window specialist Diane.I stopped by the store this morning around 10:30 a.m. to purchase custom window treatments. Diane had some trouble with the computer and getting assistance from a coworker regarding the installation but was able to complete the paperwork and send me to the cashier. The cashier made an error on the method of payment and was unable to cancel the transaction. We waited for another employee to help her. He too was unable to void the transaction. I left the store frustrated and forgot my credit card.I returned an hour later and was told the transaction was terminated and was given a receipt of the return. The employee told me my credit card was shredded. He then told me I had to return to Diane if I wished to purchase the window treatments because the barcode I had was no longer valid. When I returned to Diane she said, “This is going to take awhile because I have to re-enter everything.”I sat down patiently, as she complained about the inconvenience of re-doing my order.I heard no apologies from any Lowes employees for the inconvenience to me, or the inordinate amount of time it was taking to complete my order. Finally, feeling defeated, I left, telling Diane I would order my window treatments from J.C. Penney’s.I will continue to shop at Lowes online because of the prices. However, I will shop elsewhere when I require customer service.
I needed a 6 inch O.D. plastic tube to repair a vacuum hose on my lawn vacuum. Well like usual when it comes to special situations just like all the other stores they did not have it either. But they did have a 6 inch O.D. heating duct that did work with a little duct tape! Sometimes ya gotta think outside the box!!
I bought an 18 volt dewalt kit a week ago. I was in a Hurry thinking it was lithium ion and wasnt so performance wasnt satisfactory. Went to return this kit and didnt have reciept which in the past at other does outside Erie area hasnt been an issue. They would simply take my information and give store credit. Im an hour and a half away from home working which is why i dont have reciept in the first place. I went top both 26th st and peach st, both treated Me like a thief. I understand my appearance was some what dirty thats what happens when you tear walls out of a home built in 1864. I told them id go to home depot from now on and was told that was my perogative and my pee is driven by ignorance. Little did they know that i own my own company and they just lost the sales on over $10k for bathroom and kitchen. Yep Im remodeling a complete apartment and home depot will be the one to support this guy from now on.
Purchased a patio door last year. What a mistake that was. It was damaged and did not see until the old door was removed. Contacted lowes and their customer service. Will not even attempt to correct the problem. Maybe lowes and the manufacturers of the junk they sell need to have a class action suit placed to assist all who got ripped off. They wont do anthing for a lone individual but a group may get ther attention.
Great Lowes store. The employees make it nice, the majority of them know us by name and make our every morning Lowes stop bearable. Lowes as a company however seems to be replacing all of their more affordable materials with more expensive options for no reason thus cutting into our profit margin more and more...
Does anyone work around there? Ask for something they say not my department or isle 16 then item isnt even in that isle, workers standing in your way you say excuse me and they dont even move, not to mention if you get there when they open no check outs open only self check out what a joke

2022-06-19I dont exactly what the problem is with this particular location, but many times there are not enough people help load items if you arrive earlier in the morning. It wouldnt be a big deal, but when you are purchasing loads of heavy rocks, assistance is needed. In addition, the website will show items in stock and no one can find them. I often times, order online for pickup the same day because when I go into the store no one can find it, but when I order online, all of sudden the items appear. In addition, their inventory either doesnt match what is posted online or people just do not know where to find the items. Although I have had a general good experience at Lowes on Peach Street, this one is closer and my expectations are low. The best service is the definitely the cashiers. Returning can be a hassle as well. I purchased Miracle Gro soil, opened it and it was old (grey). I wanted an even exchange and I requested someone get it for me. I had to wait for someone to unload and asked that person if they could just put new ones in the cart, he was not helpful. They returned the items, then made me repurchase and I had to request some one go get it for me because I wasnt feeling well. Then they almost charged me full price, when I purchased it on sale. What a hassle.

2022-06-21Actually minus 5 should be the score. The clerk couldnt be bothered to look up the information to answer my inquiry. Asked about an electric power washer and was told only gas ones available. Further inquiry via the internet and asking at another Lowes showed they do sell electric power washers. Guess they dont want my business.

2022-06-03We ordered a lot of materials to build a walkway in our back yard. We were told we would receive a call about a half hour prior to delivery on Friday. We never got a call. The products werent delivered. The phone number they gave us to check on delivery was out of service. We tried to contact Lowes and were placed on hold. They never picked up the call. The next summer project we are doing is replacing the deck. Our business will be conducted elsewhere. These people are liars and frauds.

2022-05-15Lowes... home improvement. Good staff, good products...P.S.- if it rains hard enough, for long enough, theyll lock your internet order in the garden center and make you wait for nicer weather... AND make you load it by yourself.

2022-03-26I frequent Lowes a lot. I get 5% off when I use my Lowes card. I get many various things from all departments. But I do love the lawn and garden area the best!

2022-01-01Typical home improvement store. I went here to look for something to unclog a drain. Ive been in here numerous times, so I knew where to go. It helps that all the aisles are marked. Usually an associate will approach me and ask if I need help finding anything, this time they didnt so it was a good thing I knew where to go. Store is clean, organized, staff are friendly and usually really helpful. They were kind of busy so I will give them that. I was hoping to find some leftover Christmas decor, but none was to be found. Guess I was late to the party! ;)

2022-02-01Horrible customer service! Lady working in the paint department was rude! Quick to dismiss me before I could ask her to what I wanted that was after I waited and waited. Spoke with the manager who seemed to have no idea what I was talking about with the reply she gave me. Some people should not be in customer service.

2022-02-15Was only there to buy a couple things and came out with more then I expected. I needed everything I bought so it wasnt a waste. Very friendly service.
