I ordered a chair in January of 2019. Was told it would be a 16 to 20 week wait. OK. That put at mid May to Mid June. Well, we are now well into August and I still do not have my order. Tina, who I am now working through because the person I ordered it from no longer works there, will respond only after I have called or emailed several times. I am fed up! I will not be ordering from them again. I have paid in full and signed all the documents. Tina told me I would hear from her this week. Crickets.
*Buyer Beware!! They will take your money and not send the goods.*I wish I could write a favorable review for this establishment, because I do love what they sell. However, after being charged in full for two lamps and never hearing one word from Luxe Home for several months I cannot recommend them. In September 2013, I ordered two table lamps from them via the internet and my credit card was charged in full right away. I received an email receipt for the transaction and waited for the lamps to arrive.After two months passed without any word from them at all, I called to find out was was going on. I was told by a woman there that they would look into it and the person responsible for handling that order would call me back that day or the next day with shipping information. No call.I decided to give them a couple of weeks to sort it out. Still no call.I called again and was told by someone there that the lamps had been discontinued and that I would have to call back another time to get my money back. Really?So, they have big problems with:1) communicating any kind of information regarding a purchased items shipping status or availability;2) representing items as available for sale when they apparently arent;3) taking your money for discontinued items;4) failing to automatically refund money paid for items they cannot provide;5) placing the burden on the customer to obtain a refund for unavailable items; and,6) failing to take the initiative to communicate in any way with the customer.Having never visited the store in person, the impression I get is that the store is manned by interior designers who come and go and dont give a hoot about internet orders.If you decide to purchase from this store, please be very careful, stay in constant contact with them, and be prepared for the run around. I am still waiting for my refund!
Absolutely horrendous experience. Not only was my order delayed, but when it finally arrived, it was incorrect. It took 4 deliveries over 4 months to make it right. I have yet to hear from my salesperson with an apology or just to check in and make sure everything was finally delivered as ordered. I left multiple message for the store manager and owner never received a follow up call from either of them. This was not an inexpensive purchase FYI.i would never, ever, ever recommend buying anything from this store.
First time ever writing a review. If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a media console in September and was told it would ship in 3-4 weeks. Well it’s now the middle of November. After following up every week after the 4 week mark, most of the time not even getting a call back from Jen Rosenzweig, who was helping me at Luxe, she has still not even apologized for the delay. In fact, she told me “in the scheme of things, it’s not a kidney”. I will be telling every single one of my family members and friends who are all in the process of buying and building homes to never step foot in the door of Luxe Home. I will also be posting this review on every review site possible.
Had a very pleasant experience today. My wife and I take strolls in the city on sundays and usually go into this beautiful furniture store . But today when we walked into Luxe and we got such a warm greeting from a new girl at front desk , Christina , which is so rare now a days when you walk into any retail store. She greeted us and asked if we need any assistance. We explained that we were in the market for a sectional but werent ready at this time to purchase but she still assisted us with our future purchase . What a breathe of fresh air
Reading the reviews, Im not sure what happened in the poorly reviewed cases. Ive had nothing but awesome experiences here. My husband and I have bought numerous pieces here when we moved and the service and delivery have been flawless. They spent time with us looking at the specs of the home and helping us decide what worked. In one case, we bought a discounted floor model chandeleir. Upon noticing a scratch, they could have told us its sold as but instead, they found a paint that exactly matched the gold tone and repaired it. They have beautiful home furnishings and we intend to continue shopping with them for as long as we need awesome home stuff!
Luxe Home has an extensive inventory of beautiful furniture and accessories. I have been working with them for years, both Cristina and Karen are knowledgeable, creative and lovely to work with. The store is beautifully decorated making it easy to envision how anything will look in your home. In addition to furniture and accessories they will help you pull everything together with rugs, window treatments and custom decorating services. I could not recommend them more highly.
Karen, Tina, Scott and everyone else associated with Luxe Home are talented professionals in every sense of the word. We furnished our home almost exclusively through Luxe Home. Their design recommendations, choices of fabrics, their ability to customize, attention to detail and service after the sale were in all respects . . . exemplary. If you want to experience furniture retailing at its best . . . try Luxe Home.
Ordered a sideboard table in mid December that was listed as in stock when I purchased. I then got an email saying it was not in stock, had to be ordered and it would arrive in a month. TWO MONTHS later I still dont have it. It hasnt shipped. Almost no communication from the company. I email and email with no response until I call and demand an update on the item I have paid $2,600 for. Keep getting told its due to arrive this week then another week goes by with no communication until I begin calling and emailing again. I dont recommend buying from this place. I never will again.
Don’t waste your time! So disappointed! Waited for 5 MONTHS just to get a call from them telling me that the factory is shutting down! Wow! I called few times to ask on the status of my order, every time I got positive feedback... but apperatly it took them 5 months to reach turkey! next time use a phone to contact someone not a letter!However David was an excellent customer service representative...
The worst furniture buying experience Ive EVER had. I feel that this store really did a bait and switch, sending me a floor sample (without disclosing that) dresser which over half of the drawers would not pull out. After 6 months and a botched attempt at fixing it, I am left with a scratched, dented EXPENSIVE dresser and I can only use some of the drawers. I wanted to send it back or be compensated for 6 months of horrible service so that I would be able to get it fixed by a reputable repair service - if even possible to fix. Week after week of no response. Meanwhile, my clothes are in suitcases on the floor of my room since I have no place to put my clothes. I will have to pursue other remedies- and will do so. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD FURNITURE AND GOOD SERVICE, THIS IS NOT THE STORE TO PURCHASE FROM. Terrible experience. MINUS ONE STAR - one star too good for them.
I was initially put off by bad reviews about this company online. However, I can say only great things about this company. Cristina is amazing. Always quick to respond and really helpful. The furniture range is amazing and a good price. I would highly recommend this company!
Nice furniture store that is extremely specific for taste and also somewhat pricey. 2 stories of well organized furniture set up nicely in display. Some unusual pieces (including the dog beds!). Not cluttered and pleasant to walk around in. Definitely someone at ther front desk to help you, but if youre browsing they leave you alone which is nice. Parking in street or in a local parking garage.
I agree with the two other poor reviews. I placed an order in December received an email that my piece was on back order and that I would receive it in January it’s now March and I have nothing. Communication is horrible, no one answers the phone there’s no one you can speak with ever!! Do not shop here awful experience!!
Staff was wonderful. Helped with a lot of great ideas for my new place. Kept giving great options until I found exactly what I wanted. They delivery terrific. Will absolutely go back for more things as I get settled in. Thanks to the staff there they were very helpful with everything I needed.

2022-01-26I wish I saw these complaints before I ordered. I bought a desk that stated in stock in 2/21. Fast foward to today, I have not gotten my desk. Like the others they took my money right away and I have gotten nothing 1 year and $3000 later. No one responds and when they do, it is run around. They are thieves. Contacted BBB and Ill contact my card company.

2022-04-12As many of the others have stated, after ordering and being charged for a product, I have never received it. My order was placed in Nov 2021 and as of April 2022, it has not arrived. I disputed the charge with my credit card company as that seems to be the only recourse that I have, especially since the company wont respond to any emails nor phone calls.

2021-11-19DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! They are CROOKS! I ordered something in September. I was charged immediately and they told me it would not be in until November. I thought it was odd that it was charged before shipping the merchandise. I then requested a refund in October. I was told I would get one. Never did. I emailed the President and was told I would get refunded within the day. I have not gotten my money back and and they will not respond to emails or calls. I have contacted American Express and they are handling the problem.

2021-11-20This company needs to be reported as criminal and fraudulent. They take your money and send you one email but never ship your item nor communicate ever again. No answers to calls or emails. I cant believe that this scammer is getting away with this and stealing from hard working people, like single moms such as me. He should be ashamed!

2019-06-30Update: I ordered a bedroom set from Luxe Home in November 2018. The set was delivered in March 2019 as promised. There were 2 minor repairs required and customer service responded and resolved promptly. I was very happy with my purchase and would use Luxe Home again.I believe some of the other reviewers may not realize that the store does not have control over when the items will arrive from the manufacturer, the store can only go by what the manufacturer tells them. In the current environment, most manufacturers do not keep inventory so a month or 2 delay is not unrealistic.Earlier review: I ordered a Bernhardt chaise from Jen. Excellent customer service and price. Jen kept me informed throughout the process. The chaise arrived within the time quoted and as described. Delivery men were professional. Would definitely order from them again.

2021-01-05Awful. We ordered a very expensive couch in September 2020. We had to pay up front. We were told that is was backordered and would ship end of November or early December. In November, we get an email saying that the couch is back in stock and will be shipping imminently. Then silence. No couch. Then, without explanation or apology, they cancel our order and refund our money. 4 months later. Seems like breach of contract to me. We re-ordered from Houzz and will be getting it in a few weeks. Dont order from these folks.

2017-07-04Have absolutely no idea how they stay in business. Staff was very communicative when searching for items but once purchase was made they became very unresponsive. Our purchase arrived much later than the estimate we received and emails to Jean went unresponded. We finally called the store after 2 months and were informed that our purchase had indeed been ready for delivery for our home for 2 weeks yet nobody contacted us! When asked what happened, nobody had a response for us. Then, come delivery the bed didnt even fit up our stairs (though its measurements were set to fit in our bedroom). The delivery guys did structural damage to our ceilings in attempting to move bed pieces and to top it all off part of the bed arrived already cracked! The delivery men asked me if anyone had come prior to measure our stairs and I said no. When my husband went to the store to complain to the manager in person about this, the woman we worked with, Jean, completely laid and told the manager that we had REFUSED measurements of our stairs to be taken to ensure safe delivery. This was not even offered!!! In fact when we inquired about how feasible the bed was to be delivered, she simply said as long as we didnt have trinity stairs it would be fine. Awful ALL around. Avoid this store at all costs.

2018-10-26I had an excellent experience at Luxe Home . The wide selection in the store is incredible !Cristina was exceptional She was knowledgeable about the product and had a keen eye for pulling together custom fabrics that complimented each other. She was extremely helpful in selecting fabrics that would work for me She was also very patient. I came in three times before making my my purchase. Each time she treated me so nicely and answered my questions but never made me feel like she was pushing a sale -I highly recommend her and Luxe Home

2020-09-30Have had the worst experience ever! Like the other one star reviews this place is just beyond horrific! Have been lied to for the last six months! Ordered sofas and accessories months ago was forced to put down half for the sofas then forced to pay in full which I did and still no sofas and nothing but lies about where they are! I have reported them to the BBB and would strongly urge anybody thinking of ordering furniture to NOT even waste your time there. It would be a big mistake! Trust me - living the nightmare now.

2019-03-28Don’t walk, RUN away from Luxe Home. Once we gave our 50% deposit our order was never entered on two different factories (2 chairs from one, 1 sofa from another.) We inquired on delivery updates after about 8 weeks, got the run around with no definitive response, at 11 weeks, were told “delivery on chairs next week, sofa delayed another 1-2 weeks.” At 12 weeks +, no response from inquiry. I did some sleuthing and got to each factory directly and learned orders were never placed. Yes, we got our money back, however, without any apology. I really don’t think they are capable of not lying. This seems to be how this company does business. Read the reviews, see the pattern. Most people are trusting, as we’re we, and believe the b.s. when they inquire about delivery dates and get no or erroneous info. It’s not mistakes folks! If you’re reading this, believe me, and all the other 1-stars.
