This entire store has become such a disappointment. The clothing for women is extremely limited. There is no longer a petites department. The shoe dept has become very limited.. There is no longer any kind of dishes or china. It was very nice and high end when it replaced Kaufmans. The store associates just state that if you want more you have to travel out of town. I don’t know why they even bother to keep it open. It is not supply chain because Boscovs, Kohl’s and Talbots have plenty of merchandise..
Bad! AI wanted a mens cologne and they only had the gift pack with 4 different sample bottles. She said oh we cant get them individually. Ive been buying then individually for 20 years. Then she said should I wrap them? I said I dont care. Theyre yours and left.
Pretty sure Macys is about to go out of business. There is hardly anything in there. Its very bare.
Still a bit pricey. The smell of perfume is overpowering!
Parking was a small problem, however, once I went through the door I was able to make a quick stop at customer service, return 1 item for a gift card, pick up the item I needed pay for it and return to my vehicle with in 30 min. It was a little bit crowded but the employees remained focused on customer service. I appreciate their maturity in dealing with different and difficult customers.
There were bugs crawling all over the clothing in one of the racks so we left
Store wasnt stocked great but thats the time we live in now. Had a small selection to pick from but we were able to find something. Covid compliant employees and they were helpful and friendly. I would return.
I have always loved Macys. It saddens me to watch the decline. They seemed to have a bit more stock than they have been carrying. However they are extremely under staffed, the place was dirty and the bathrooms were horrendous. I had to find alternate accommodations the facility was so disgusting an outhouse at the county fair was cleaner. There was an odor in the elevator and seriously if theyre not going to clean the carpet perhaps pulling them up would be better. I did talk to a woman that identified herself as the manager about the deplorable conditions and I actually felt sorry for her. She can only do what corporate allows her. The cashiers were pleasant this trip rather than the surly I dont want to be here ones of the past. I have been a Macys customer for 65 years and remember the glory days, perhaps I am a grumpy old man and hate change but keeping the place clean should still be a priority.
Disappointed with stock on hand - had been one of my favorite stores.
This review is for Macy’s as a whole. Two years in a row I’ve tried to buy expensive jewelry that was either advertised in the catalog or on line in the stores. They have the ear ring box on display with the price but no ear rings. I was told that they very seldom have what’s on line or in the catalog. I don’t want to order on line because at check out it says the item SHOULD arrive by Dec. 24th. Not willing to take that chance. Shame on Macy’s…this practice is leaning toward bait and switch. I am a platinum card holder. Again, this is for Macy’s as a whole not just a particular store.

Store was clean and employees were very friendly. Unfortunately they had very limited selection and we priced higher than competitors.
They didnt have the perfume (Michael kors-sexy Amber) or the handbag (Dooney & Bourke) that I was looking for.
Asked someone where the jewelry counter was and she pointed and said no words to me, so I asked someone else and she was so mean to me. She said “we probably don’t have what you’re looking for” so I just left and went to JC Penney’s. Entire store was very dirty too. I know it probably doesn’t make much of a difference to them, but I will never shop here again.
I am a longtime Macys customer, however had not been to the store, since the virus situation began. All of my Macys purchases, had been online until today. As we entered the store there were various signs, indicating that there were virus precautions in place. We also repeatedly heard PA announcements, pertaining to the virus. The store was clean, and well organized. As a bonus, the merchandise we went for was in stock. All associates were friendly, and helpful as well.
They made a mistake on my order I called and they hung up LOL.
I purchased stainless steel fry pans. Cashier was helpful in figuring price of pans. Did not find price at display.

Was able to return shoes purchased in January for store credit. Without any problems.
Absolutely a horrible experience went to purchase a new pair of suit pants purchased a suit on Sunday at Macys went to buy a different size pair of pants the woman was kind enough to roll them into a ball and throw them in a bag. I attempted to contact management got transferred on the phone and cut off called back and the call would not go through absolutely terrible.
They have great prices.

My son wears a lot of Nike clothing and Macys always has what he needs -- socks, pants, shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Sales associates will go out of the way to track down his size if they appear to be sold out of his size (sometimes customers stick clothing on racks that said items shouldnt be on). The prices are comparable to competitors too.I also buy his dress clothing here since he has to dress up for sports. Associates take the time so that he has the appropriate sizes and pick out ties, etc. that make him look so nice! I cry seeing him all dressed up. They carry Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, etc. I compared big box store dress clothes prices to when Macys has sales and theyre comparable. I would rather buy a quality brand than a big box store brand. Theres a big difference in the fabrics for sure -- especially after washing them. Ive experimented.Around Christmas, they really go all out decorating one of the main entrances from the mall hallway. They have the famous believe sign, tons of raised Christmas trees, large hanging ornaments, etc. Its just very nice to see and sets the holiday shopping spirit. This store creates happy shopping memories for sure.The only thing that is somewhat a negative is that I wish they had shopping bags/carts or something to put stuff in. When I buy tons of stuff before school starts, its rather difficult lugging around numerous shirts, pants, t-shirts, etc. Ive never bought stuff upstairs because it seems like it would be a hassle if I had to lug household goods down the escalator. I imagine they would sell more stuff if they had something customers could carry/put items in.All in all -- this is a store that I spend most money at when it comes to clothing. I hope we never lose this location.

My latest shopping experience at the Macys location at the Millcreek Mall in Erie, PA was excellent.The store is always very clean & neatly organized. Good selection & quality of merchandise. Sometimes, it can be difficult finding someone in some departments but thats no different than other similarly sized stores. If you remember to look for promo codes online prior to checking out, you can possibly save a lot of money on your purchases.

I was returning a cookware set received through online.A old lady who served me was saying that, i was not suppose to bring the box that has shipping labels in it. That was nowhere mentioned.She has less knowledge about returning a product without receipt( had order number on my macys app)

Fortunately, we had a Macys employee who was very helpful and patient so that we could get it all worked out, which we did. The place is huge, which makes it hard to locate things & even staff members! They have a 2nd floor, but not very much merchandise up there, mainly undergarments. Personally I think they are too pricey & charge alot more than other dept stores. Store was clean & organized, its just so big that everything is so spaced out.
The staff that waited on me was awesome. But the store looked like stocking was an issue due to supply and demand. Then at the same time, the ladies room was awful due to individuals smoking pot in there. As soon, as you opened the door, contact high. Very disturbing.

Went to buy homecoming dresses and found the PERFECT 2 for my daughters. Theyre going to look amazing! The prices were AMAZING as well...and their selection was huge!! Definitely our go to dress store!
Came here looking for a dress. I am plus size so their options were very limited upstairs. They were also doing some type of reset so they they really didnt have anything on the floor to even look at. Maybe Ill stop by in the springtime to see if they have a better selection.

A decent smaller Macys with a sale on going. I would have purchased more but they have no carts available according to the cashier. When I said I couldnt buy anything more, she seemed unconcerned and didnt offer any suggestions! Like calling for assistance, a utility cart etc? So I left.
I was looking for a dress for my sons wedding and the lady working there whats so supportive and helpful. I would tell anybody to go there. She also gave me a really good deal on the dress because they had coupons. Weed together found the most perfect dress. And I cant thank her enough. Thank you Macys for everything youve done for me.

Its a hit or miss in every aspect. You are there find exactly what youre looking for or nothing. The sales staff is either incredibly helpful or incredibly useless. It is unfortunately a low-end Macys meaning that it does not carry any designer brands in make-up or clothing better than Calvin Klein, but they do carry Coach and Michael Kors in purses. The shoe selection isnt lousy either. Better than nothing!

Typical Macys. Good selection, several departments for your needs. Clean restrooms. The staff is available as needed but not pushy. Lines long at times as they removed several registers.

I first wrote my review with one star because I called Macys customer service line and I hate to say it like this if but I spoke to one foreign service rep and two foreign supervisors and unfortunately the experience was horrible they were not helpful at all they had no interest in helping, I took my problem to my local store in Erie Pennsylvania and the assistant manager there took care of my problem right away with pleasure.Again thank you for helping me and keeping me a satisfied Macys customer.

Thank you for the sales and good quality behind your items. Shame on some of the prices. ! $140 for a throw with pom poms. Which I would of bought for my daughter until I seen the price.. I do not do credit cards, so no discounts offered to me. Shame on you..

During this particular trip to Macys, my sister found the dress that she was looking for and I picked up an extra jacket, but ultimately the shopping trip was a little disappointing. The entire store had a bit of a scent to it. Kind of like...mildew, that of which only intensified as we went into the dressing rooms. I have no idea how they would fix this problem, nor do I have any other suggestions or comments on this overall lackluster Macys trip.
Always shop here. I was so excited that they had Baci here. Usually have to go to the Italian import store to find them. Surprised to see that the Finish Line now had a spot in the store.
An always-reliable standby, Macys has been going strong in Erie for many years. Lets hope it stays open for many more. As much as I love internet shopping, nothing beats browsing in-person for last-minute items.

I went in to EXCHANGE some dress shirts that I received for Christmas. I had the receipt. Because I had seven shirts and you guys were busy, you insisted on doing a gift card. You then said that because my wife used the $70 Macy money that we had to pay it all back and took it out of the gift card. We were there to EXCHANGE the shirts, not ask for the money to be credited to the gift givers account! On our previous visit, we brought a few ties. It shows all of them on the receipt. The sales associate had put the ties to the side while he rang up the shirts. He had a lot of clothing up on the counter and did not place the most expensive tie in the bag, a tie that was to go to my father-in-law for Christmas. When we got home my wife went through the bags so she could wrap them up for Christmas, she realized the tie for my father-in-law was not in the bag. We went back to the store and they claimed that they didnt have the tie. We came straight home from the store. The back of our car is empty. There is no where for it to have gone. You guys wouldnt even look for it. We will not be doing business with you again and I will happily share our experience with everyone!
Lady that sold us perfume actually FELL in something that was spilled behind the counter,and made it look graceful. We asked repeatedly if she was ok, and she said she thought she was...for now.LolHowever, she did a great job selling us multiple sets of perfume and colognes. She is a PRO!! Loved her!

Used to love Macys but have gone down hill with selection of items so I barely go now days. Because its at the Millcreek mall their is plenty of parking. Its a huge store. Sometimes hard to find an associate for help and just tons of overpriced items you can go to other stores to get for half the price. I loved when it was Kaufmans.

Best department store youll find in Erie. Macys seriously has everything. Some of my personal faves are the Clarins face/hair/body counter, the Lenox section(2nd floor), the expanded shoe section. Macys has always been a great department store but theyve totally upped their game! Its a very nice shopping experience.

I love Macys but this location never seems to have a good selection of formal dresses. I always have to go to the one in Buffalo to find anything. Im not sure why each store doesnt carry the same selections.

In protest I took my Macys card to the business office and told them what to do with it!!!!!!!

Most of other clothing is very ultra-conservative to the point of almost being compost ears out of style. It looks as if they outdated merchandise from other stores to Erie I have been is smaller in the Pittsburgh area they have Macys I have better merchandise Erie dose so I have to question why the Erie store looks as it does?

The cashiers are never at their registers, they will convince you to open a Macy credit card acct and they will tell you that youll get 20% of purchase for applying but you really dont! Their coupons are just a way to bring ppl in the store!, the coupon excludes about 85% of the store merchandise and services! And its so annoying having to hear the employees that work in jewelry arguing about their commission each time I make a jewelry purchase with them... they can do better than that.

I made a purchase of $28.80 and at the encouragement of their staff, opened a credit card. $64.00 in fees!!!!!!Do NOT under any circumstances open a credit card with Macy. They really should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off their customers like that.When I called in to pay it directly and to permanently close the account, they had the balls to ask for my checking account information!!! AS IF Id let them rip me off directly through my account, obviously I told them no way in hell would they get my checking account information.I never intend to step inside their stores again. Peebles is far better and they treat their customers good.

2022-03-29They had a lot of product. Womens clothes everywhere. Todays highlight was clearance. It was everywhere! We ended up with 6 items for around $20. Retail was over a hundred.2 problems. The every 5 minute push to sign up for a card. 6 times while checking out. Just from the cashier. And the 2nd floor. Its like a wasteland. Empty in spots. Not in others.If you are going for the toys r us, do not. Its just a section of stuff you see everywhere else. For higher price1 designer shoe out of a prom dress.

2019-11-19A great Macys location! Has two floors to shop on. Top floor is bedding, rugs, curtains and home decor. Bottom floor is clothing, shoes, jewelry and the likes. Great deals are to be had in the flyer/mailer!

2021-12-27Nice store, ignorant employees. Went in to buy a pair of shoes for work, was yelled at by an employee at the cash register to shoo because it’s a “returns” cash register only which i figured was weird because I cashed out there several times in the past. No big deal, just a little unprofessional way of telling me to go elsewhere. Then I proceeded to the middle of the store where I found Brenda. Brenda was great. I loved the dirty stare she gave me when I as a customer rudely interrupted her conversation with her friends to purchase an item. I put the shoes up on the counter and she gave me this warming look of disgust and proceeded to talk to me like I’m a child. “Can I help you…?” Wow Brenda I just put a brand new box of shoes on your counter which so happens to be a cash register counter.
