Great place to grocery shop for the week or to pop in and grab some quick picks for dinner. The staff is always helpful. Grandmas potato salad is the best. The have plenty of room in the parking lot and generally dont have a wait to check out.the produce is always fresh and generally prices are comparable to other grocery stores. The meat sale in March is generally pretty good but the meat goes fast so get in early.
The store itself is fine. It is very convenient for a quick stop. However, the cashiers have been very standoffish and somewhat rude everytime I have been here. Normally it wouldnt bother me too much, but most of the cashiers do not respond when you say Hi, how are you nor do they respond when you say thank you. The only interaction is when they tell you the price.
Theyre a small store, so they dont have everything!! They have what you need for a quick stop. New owners did good job of cleaning the place up a bit. The prices on alot of things are quite high. Im guessing they do alot less business than the old store cause their meat Dept. Is nothing like it used to be. In the past you could always get fresh hamburger, now I just dont trust it. Hopefully their prices will come down a bit & people will start shopping here again, which hopefully would make their meat selection fresher.
This is our favorite local food store. It is small, but has almost every thing you would need. The meat department is top notch. The people the run the store are friendly. It is easy to get in and out of fast.
Extremely organized!!! They carry A-Treat sodas including grapefruit flavor, and other various local foods. Very friendly staff. Convenient. Some prices are a little more than the surrounding competition, but again, its the convenience.
I go to this Market on an average of 4x a week. People are friendly .iMeet many others that i know and enjoy talking with them. One of the most elderly employees who is alwas busy is most kind and never frustrated with a long order or several customers in line. She most definitely deserves a raise! If customers buy from the stores ;weekly specials, they will do well on their grocery bill.
Nice new coffee and bakery nook added. Real butcher cut meats not pre packaged. Worth the extra money.
Good store to go to if you just need to grab a few things.
Prices are outrageously high and a real slap in the face to those living downtown that are low income and unable to drive to Weisss who we used to think were high but this place beats them hands down. Taking advantage of those less fortunate. And I hear these same comments from many others in the community. Great job on the parking lot though!
Medium sized grocery store. Prices are generally a little higher than the large chain groceries, but you can find good specials especially on deli meats and cheeses. It feels a little dingy and Ive been disappointed with the produce more than once. I keep going because its very convenient for me as a Bangor resident.
Has most items your local grocery store will offer,but it feels more homey. Everyone in there seems friendly even the customers because most of the people who shop their live in the area so your bound to see a familiar face or two. The ladies who work back in the deli are amazing. Despite how frustrated they may seem because of how busy they are they are quick to lend a hand and see what you need. Prices are a little higher as the only local grocery store prices tend to be a bit higher but that’s where you weigh the options of travel time, burning gas, busy stores or just drive 2 minutes and get to Market and get what you need. I usually tend to go here for what I need unless I’m already out and about then I usually pick it up at Walmart. Great place sometimes cashiers don’t pay much mind to you because they are busy talking to each other even during transactions,but I’ll overlook it because I’m not in their to tell them my life story. Overall great place to go to grab a few loose ends for dinner if you need it.

This is a great local market. everything you need is here. a nice deli with homemade meals and salads that are all delicious. you can be in and out in a few minutes..
This was our ( to go to store) we live 5 minutes away, but then new management took over ,,,so before the selection is limited but the prices were fair enough but now prices are 20/30% higher so the 15 minute trip to Weiss is well worth the 50c in gas,
Convenient to my house a expensive walk from home to the mini market.Their products are over pricey.But for the most part every thing else is okay.Unlike Walmart you get a variety of fruits, vegetables, among other things with cheaper prices.But itll do for now until I get a car...
Nice little store with a good selection. But since they reopened and became an IGA, their prices have nearly doubled on everything.
I was only in there for about a minute was just speaking with someone at the counter. Didnt catch her name but she was very friendly and helpful. From what little i saw from the from the front the store looks good! Im gonna have to check out the whole thing when i get a chance
This is a small town grocery store. It has enough variety to get your through most meals but if you want speciality items youll have to go somewhere bigger. The staff are pleasant and helpful as well.

Check your receipt. More than once Ive been overcharged for sale items. When I called No one even asked what the products were to correct the problem. So if you bought those products during that week you paid full price. Used to do all my shopping there but I dont anymore. Prices increased a lot. Shame!
To all the wonderful customers I waited on. On a daily basis Im sad to say I left the market. Due to lack of hours. I will miss seeing your faces everyday. Miss you all cashier Arlene Smith.
Good for a quick stop, smaller grocery run when you dont feel like going to the main or bigger supermarket. Main Street market is right in the downtown area of Bangor. In walking distance of CVS, laundromat, post office, library, and general store.
Its got all the basics; soda, produce, bread, pasta, sweets, magazines, meat, batteries...of course since it is quite small they dont offer all the brands or a large variety but its perfect to stock your house.
Awesome mom and pop grocery store with excellent meats. It really sucked when they closed for a few months. But now theyre back and better than ever

Main Street Market is okay. The vegetables arent as fresh as Weis Food Market. Also, Main Street never labels their vegetables with an expiration date. The meat dept. is good and their food prices are pricey.

Good if you just need something quick but for a whole shopping order I would go to Giant. Its definitely more expensive here, its just close which makes it good for a quick pick up.

2022-05-21Went there to get hamburger for a meatloaf I noticed that the meat was starting to turn brown as I walked away a rude employee was I looking for something special I told him no I told him about the hamburger meat turning brown he said to me he put it out yesterday I told him that I’m not gonna feed my family bad meat he told me that he didn’t want to Argue with me as he walked away he Mumbled something to me I had my granddaughter with me he was very rude

2021-09-13Although a bit more pricey than a standard grocery store, convenience is a major factor and it excels there. Close by for anyone in the Bangor area, and especially for the size of the location, it has a ridiculously wide variety of inventory and always seems well stocked. May not recommend for a full grocery list experience because they do have higher prices, but my go to for picking up a few items on the fly.

2021-07-30I have bin going there for almost 2 years at least 3 times a week for lunch. But after today I will never go back. I work very close to the store and today the employees were smoking closer then usual. So I asked if the could move a little farther away and they had no problem. Very nice of them. Well when I went to go get lunch. The Butcher came out on to the floor and started to give me a speech with a nasty attitude.

2018-08-17Excellent store with everything that the big chain stores have. Fresh cut meat on a daily basis and fresh locally grown produce delivered directly. Reasonable priced deli meats and cheeses with mouth watering fried chicken daily. Knowledgeable employees and friendly cashiers. Great meat sales 2 a year too. Check it out!!

2020-09-08This mini mart is good to grab some quick items. Meat and cold cuts are very well priced! Other items can be a bit pricey for what they are. I specifically visit for these main items and maybe something else that I realized I forgot from a last food shopping trip but need (bread/etc).
