Called in about my insured tires and one that was going flat. Spoke with Jamie the Manager who was courteous and friendly and set me up with a first morning appt. I had them check for additional and received a call and details. I’ve been coming to The Frankford Mavis location for many years and always have had a pleasant experience and their prices are competitive.
Horrible!!! The front desk girl and Jeremy are awful ppl! Jeremy will have u write him a positive review in order to give u a discount on service. I was getting 2 tires changed. They told me it would take 2 and a half hours! I waited 3 than went to check on my car. Long story short they forgot about my car! Told me it would take another few hours! They offered me a free oil change if i waited! I declined!!! NEVER COME HERE!!!!!
Went there about 2 weeks ago for an oil change. Notice leaking the next day figured I just got it changed a little leaking isn’t abnormal but then everyday for a week I would come out to a puddle under my car. So I took it to meineke to check for an oil leak. Turns out the tech never put the gasket back just the plug so my car was just pouring oil out. It’s one thing for a mechanic to miss something like this but not a place that only specializes in two thing tires and oil. You had one job.
I highly recommend everyone to go to this mavis everyone there is very nice and respectful the Gm Kevin make sure his team get the job fast. I drive a 2019 Honda Accord and had a flat tire took my car there and I was out within 30 mins please everyone take you car to them they will make sure they get you in and out fast. **UPDATE as of 11/19/20STILL WAITING FOR A PHONE CALL SO WE CAN PUT THIS SITUATION TO REST...**UPDATE as of 8/25/20I called Mavis Corporate to discuss situation. I was told that the Regional Director was going to contact me to find a suitable resolution to my issues. This was last week. So far no one has called. My review stays so I can help anyone else before they decide where to go. I am fair with all my reviews. I give praise to those who earn it. I rarely give bad reviews but when I do its because it was way out of hand, as it is in this case.A 1 star rating? I didnt see a below 0 option.Purchased 4 new tires. I drive approximately 80-90k miles a year. I buy new tires every 6 months. I told this to the clerk when he asked me if I wanted the warranty. I told him I buy new so often I dont need warranty. He takes my car on a Saturday morning and I picked it up on Sunday morning due to my work schedule. I was charged the $54 tire warranty. I didnt notice until I reviewed receipt that night. I called the next day. A week later I got a credit on my card for $26. I called again. He said hell do it again for the remaining amount. Never happened. I called again. Hes on vacation. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Problem solved right away. I get a call from a new District Manager. I explained in full detail my negative experience. He apologized and toodooloo, nothing else. Heres the killer: the 2, yes 2, front tires are missing lug nuts, and they have different ones that dont match as well. See pictures... This is my first and last time going to Mavis Tires. I will continue with Pep Boys. The only reason I switched this time was because there was no availability at Pep Boys and I didnt want to wait another day. Next time I will wait or plan better.
Kevin made my experience smooth and seamless on a Sunday afternoon. Although they seemed to be very busy when I dropped my car off, the turnaround time was still within a decent timeframe. I always take my car here for tires and will continue to do so with Kevin as the manager!
The only positive thing I can say, is that the manager Kevin was nice. However, he struggles with proper communication; ensuring that theyll take care of everything for me as soon as possible. But the more time I spent there, I realized that he simply says the same thing to every customer, no matter how behind they are.I arrived around 1130am with tires that I had purchased privately (simple mount/balance job). With just 2 vehicles ahead of me at the time, I figured hey, Its empty....so i implied that they could also do my inspection. Kevin then states hell go put word in with the tech, that they should be able to squeeze it in. Time and time goes on....nothing else is said so I figured everything is a go....... more customers emerge. This time, with complaints of their vehicles brakes that were recently repaired by them. Those vehicles seemed to have bumped me, as well as a few what seemed to be friends who came far after me. Fast forward 5hrs, now its time to pay. Great! Im glad you were able to do everything for me. Kevin then says, oh no sorry we only did your tires, the inspection guy left hours ago..... This place has lost my business and I will share my experiences as far as my words can travel to help others avoid the sheer waste of time.Oh yeah, some other customer complaints while I was there, brakes were repaired, but they never bothered to advise the customer for the need of rotors....next customer had came for a wheel repair that was AGAIN overlooked by staff..... BE DIRECT WITH CUSTOMERS AND PROVIDE PROPER FOLLOWUP INFORMATION. IF YOU CANT DO THE JOB WHILE THE CUSTOMER WAITS, SAY IT!!! WASTED MY WHOLE DAMN DAY.
Very Happy with the service I received. Didnt feel like they were doing like others places do and try to get over because I am a woman. Their pricing was fair, the staff was very considerate and knowledgeable. Stacy the regional manager is great and very much in person and available for any questions or concerns. I definitely will return in the future for service.
Took my car fora balance and needed new tire sensors the manager was very friendly, personable and knew what he was talking about. The only down side was the wait. Dropped my car off at 9am and didnt get it back until they were ready to close. But over all they did what was needed. Would recommend to anyone.
I took my car to get serviced they stated I needed a power steering pump flushing hose two rods and rack and pinion all totaling 2300 after everything done I had to bring it right back because of a defective part because the belt broke now I’m right back there for a third time I dropped it off Tuesday they supplied me with a rental until Friday and I’m losing money because I use my car for share riding not ever taking my car there again after this!This is becoming a ongoing problem why is it ok for this company to keep you locked in with doing business with them because your service parts is warranted by Mavis if I take my car back this will now be the 4th time they made my car worse then it was before I took it for the initial problem at this point I don’t know if I have to involve my lawyer because the Regional manager Stacey refused to give me my money back and refused to let me take it to a dealer and they foot the bill so I’m without a car that’s not drivable at this point and they are causing me to lose more money because I use my car for ride sharing.I’m so frustrated and it’s sad because Kevin the general manager is such a nice guy with great customer service but that’s not resolving my issue!
Wonderful staff, very polite and welcoming people. They know what they are doing and do a fine job at it with geat prices. Had a flat and they took care of it with little effort. All tires there are brand new and feel great on the road. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed
Brought my car here for a flat tire, only place around me that had the Hankook tire I needed. The customer service rep got me scheduled ASAP tire changed in an hour and 45. Jose the assistant manager helped me out on the price, customer rep gave me NY prices and he discounted much appreciated.
They were very sweet ive always had good customer service here, never treated rudely and always treated like family, they work with you and dont try to break your pockets very fair with prices and efficient with service. Not a long wait time either, I would recommend Mavis to anyone thanks guys for making having vehicle mechanical issues less costly and easier. 🙂
I received great service. I originally came in to have the oil changed and break changed because my break light kept flashing. The manger had my car looked at and I was told the break were still good. They did an over all inspection of my car and updated me on everything. Oil was changed, car was fully inspected and I was in and out within 1.5hr.I was very pleased...
This place is the best. They have good hours and they do good work. Ive been here twice, once I had my car towed here and had a new tire put on and the second time they replaced the other 3 tires and gave me an alignment. They arent far from my work and make it easy to drop off my car and pick it up after work. Staff is professional and courteous. - Liz Dougherty
When my husband had to get new tires we decided on Mavis Glad we did!!! The service we received was Excellent. After we left my husband had a question. We spoke to Mr. Greene Mike he said his.name was. Because he made us feel so special and he was.so kind and professional we are going back for other repairs and telling our family and friends. Great Customer Service. Friendly Environment especially if you are a senior.
Went here to get 4 new tires and a wheel alignment it took As long as expected over $700 for everything and once the vehicle was finished. After I drove away I felt my car pulling to the left I called and was told to come back I did and still the same problem. I went back twice and they still didn’t fix it. I never had an issue with my alignment but because I replaced all my tires I was told it was good to get the alignment done and since no one at this place want to own up to or research how to properly do an alignment I have to spend more money to take it somewhere else for it to Be repaired
Update: Although my experience a few months back was disappointing, I decided to give this place another chance. I was scheduled for an appointment on Monday at 9am. When I arrived, they stated I would need to reschedule as their inspections guy does not work Mondays. The scheduling error was due to lack of communication between the location and those in charge of the scheduling systems. I was then rescheduled for an 8am appointment on Tuesday.When I arrived, I was told that my car would be one of the first to be looked at and should be done in no time. After 4 hours, I reached out to find the status of my car. They said that they had not gotten to it but that it was next up and shouldnt be much longer. An hour and a half later, I called again and was told that they still had not looked at the car even though my appointment was for 8am and was told I would have my car back quickly.I spoke to the manager to express my concerns and he completely dismissed concerns with the scheduling systems. He was extremely rude and condescending. He said he could not give me any time on when the vehicle would be done, but if I liked, he could have me come back tomorrow instead to get it done which would have been the third time taking it to this location for inspections.While I understand that at that moment they were unable to change the situation, I asked if they could attempt to do something so that in the future these issues do not occur (regarding discrepancies and miscommunications between the schedule centers and the physical location). He stated that not everyone has a voice and therefore he would not attempt to find a possible solution for issues like this happening in the future. This was extremely unprofessional and ignorant. Management should not disregard customer concerns in that manner and should be properly trained on how to handle various situations.I will never do business with Mavis Discount Tire ever again. If there were an option to give the establishment 0 stars, I would.Previous review: I was a bit disappointed in the service I received today. I went in for a scheduled oil changed at 9 oclock. I was told it shouldnt take too long since I was the first person there. At around 11:45, I noticed that they had put my car but in the lot, but was not notified that the car was done, so I waited assuming that they had only moved the car and were not done the oil change. About half an hour more passed, so I went to check on the status of my car. The counter clerk was off chatting to several others for about 15 minutes. When he finally came back, I asked the status of my car to which he replied that the car was finished but no one had told him that it had been completed. I waited almost 4 hours just to get my cars oil changed, 1 hour of that should not have even occurred but there was no communication among the employees stating that the car was done. I believe that was quite unprofessional and has definitely made me think less of Mavis Discount Tire. I have never received this type of service there, so it is rather disappointing.
Kevin & The Master Mechanic Saul Are the Obsolete Best I Own A 96 Crown Vic Thats Been Kicking with Me for 4 yrs Till it started Giving Me Misfires & Thank God It Only Needed A Full Tune Up, That Was Well Over Due & It Also Ended Up Needing A Fuel Pump Replacement They Did Such A Great Job With My Old Car Super Patient With Me While I Gathered All My Parts In A Attempt to Save A Little Money These Guys Super Reasonable With Prices , I Managed To Save This Car With Blood Sweat And Tears Literally But Super Grateful for the Hands And Knowledge Of Master Mechanic Saul Thanks To His Hands My Car Its Up And Running BIG THANK YOU !! I WILL BE COMING BACK FOR FUTURE REPAIRS , HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE !!!
Had to make an appointment for an inspection 4 days later, got there and and had to wait 45 minutes while they helped someone and then was told they made calls to tell people that the appointments were cancelled. I didnt receive any calls or texts about the cancellation. Never again.
I am very disappointed with the customer service received. My first call was to the service center and was informed they can take payment over the phone and then spoke to the manager, who was quite rude, and was advised they could not. When I spoke to the manager again and attempted to explain the situation he hung up on me. I was a retail manager for 13 years and this level of customer service is unacceptable to me, I always went above and beyond for my customers and tried to provide the best outcome for everyone, not the case here. Considering Mavis is a chain and not a mom and pop shop they have the ability to take a card via the phone they chose not to. Personally, Ill never use a Mavis for personal or business due to this experience.
I had a terrible experience. Would not recommend anyone to come here. I purchased 4 new tires and had to keep going back (2xs) because my tires were not properly balanced. The location on Frankford Ave could not get it done correctly so I took it to a location in New Jersey. I made an appointment at 1:00 and was told my car would be done by 2:30 and they would call when it was done. I called them back at 4:45 to check the status just to be told that they didnt do anything to my car because my lug nuts had expanded they could not get them off. Lets keep in mind that I just took my car to the other location twice to get rebalanced and they had no issues with the lug nuts.I took it to a different location near Franklin Mills to get balanced they were able to balance my tires. Unfortunately as soon as I drove off the lot my abs light came on saying service stabilitrak. The mechanic wasnt in at the time but they said I could bring it back for them to check it.My experience has been very inconvenient. I work multiple jobs so having to come to a car shop on any free day I have off is ridiculous.
Always have had positive experiences while dealing with Mavis, but most recently have a concern as to why my tires were all wildly out of proper p.s.i. one tire being double inflated which could have caused a terrible outcome especially at highway speeds. While I am a professional driver and ultimately take responsibility for my vehicles safety. I would think that something as important as proper tire p.s.i. after purchasing 4 brand new would be paramount. I guessed wrong. I corrected the blunder and waited for alarm to reset.
I have brought my company vehicle and personal vehicle to them numerous times. But these couple of past experiences have been brutal. The first time I brought my truck in for inspection there was an issue with my computer....no big deal but they loose my registration and insurance card. The registration I had to pay to get a dupe. Then I fix all the problems and bring the truck back. I was first in line at 7:55am. They call at 3:45 pm and say we have a issue. Our inspection machine communicator is not transferring any data because it wont take a charge. Why wouldnt they have said something earlier and I could have made arrangements to take to another inspection station. About a year ago this place use to be really good with communication and they were good with completing their services. Now they slack and dont care anymore. I will not bring any of my vehicles there and will tell my family members not to either.
First time customer at Mavis and I don’t have any complaints. I needed a new tire and my dealer didn’t have any immediate openings. So I called around and Mavis had the best quote and they offered to fit me in same day. They were super busy and I did have to wait a while but I’m patient. In my time there I watched the understaffed crew deal with customers and a heavy workload with a really good attitude. There were even a few people who they couldn’t fit in that they helped find another Mavis that could. I know they didn’t have to do that but they took the time any way and that says a lot. In the end I got exactly what I was quoted for in a timely manner with respect and courtesy. Thanks guys!
Today my tire sensor came on for low tire pressure. I went to 2 Wawas, 7-11, & Sunoco. All 4 air machines were either inoperable, didnt have air chuck, or the machines worked but no air came out of the chuck. So I went to Mavis and asked if they could check my tire pressures and fill my tires to proper levels. The manager was more than happy to help. He didnt charge me, and didnt take the money i offered. I really appreciate his help and the customer service he offered. Next time I need tired, Mavis will be in the top of my list.
My mom never had a problem with her car she brought it her for four new tires . Got the car back and one was flat . Then all her lights keep coming on and they have oil hand prints all over the anterior of her car . She brought it back and they want to charge her to fix it . Find somewhere else to take your car
Had a great experience, the air conditioning in the building needs to be fixed, but Augustine and the other two gentlemen that worked on my vehicle were great. Before I brought my vehicle in, my vehicle was very noisy, it turned out that I needed new brakes and my rotors were rusted, the guy who serviced my vehicle pointed this out to me. How is it that three other mechanics elsewhere didnt point this out to me. It appears to me that I was bamboozled into buying a vehicle that had all these issues and ended up spending 1000 dollars more then I was expecting to fix everything wrong with the vehicle after the purchase. Mavis made this experience very easy for me because of the member card I was able to afford additional work I needed done on the car so I was glad Augie recommended to fill the credit application, my credit is not great and somehow I got approved which I am greatful for. Overall I had a great experience at this location which I cant say about the other location on aramingo
What else can I say other than I’m disappointed? Without getting into anything else, I’m not pleased with my non-service today. Yesterday, through their website, I arranged a ten o’clock appointment for a state inspection today. Arriving about 9:30 my husband and I were joking that maybe we’ll get in early and get out. By eleven o’clock, our car still sat in the space we parked with no indication of movement. I spoke to the gentleman at the service counter and was told it’d be at least another hour before the mechanic got to our car because he was caught up on something else. Because we had other commitments, I had no choice but to take my keys, registration and proof of insurance and leave without service. I’m sorry to say, Pep Boys will be getting our business this time, and we’ll figure out our new service shop for the future. Once is a mistake, twice makes me think it’s routine.
The worst place ever to take your car! When I first called and spoke to someone regarding state inspection services they informed me that it would be a twenty minute wait. I was excited and told the person the phone I am on my way. They took my information over the phone and assured me my slot. I am only five minutes from the place. I got there and the person at the cash register who later identify him self as the manager Jamel informed me that it would be a hour and a half wait. I explained to him that someone told me differently over the phone and he said mam it is going to take a hour and a half because there are two cars ahead of you. I said thats fine. Mind you I dropped my car off at 8:00 AM now I am upset cause its 1:15PM and my car has not been inspected. They try to telle there were other cars ahead of me. And I said only two so why is my car still not attended too? He could not explain. What happens was they figured since I dropped the car off that they could put other cars in front of mines.
Told them I need the driver side rear tire replaced, along with some other repairs, after 4 hours I come back to see they changed the driver side front tire. Since that tire was going soon anyway I told them to leave it on and change the driver side rear tire again (reiterated which tire multiple times to make sure), after another 3 hours and no call, I call to find out it’s done and upon arriving suspect they changed the wrong tire again, but they reassure me my sensor will reset and I’ll see it’s all fine. After going home and verifying that they didn’t in fact change the right tire, I go back to find out they changed the passenger side rear tire now (didn’t mention passenger even once) and now I have to wait for them to change the right tire yet again. This has taken up my whole day instead of only a few hours.
I had a terrible experience. Would not recommend anyone to come here, 1st time I went to this shop I have purchased 4 tires from there and after they installed them I have noticed that they lost my center wheel caps so I went back to let them know and the guy there did apologize and I said anyway is not that big deal so I bought a new set myself.2nd issue happened when I took my car back to them for oil change this time they took off the skid plate that covered the belly of the car in order to reach the oil ban tube and never put it back, now it’s been like 6 Weeks waiting for them to order the missing part!!!!
They always work with me on price. They work fast and have good warrantees. They speak pleasantly and respectfully and thats no matter which manager helps me. The youthful looking whip of a mechanic really knows his stuff. Its close tho where i live but i would definitely try other locations. I hope the franchise is as dedicated across the board. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with Mavis. Usually a franchise is high prices and long wait times. Nothing is as cheap as doing yourself or the breaks your regular mechanic might give but its pristine. As woman car troubles are not an option. I used to go other places but now Im home.Lets hope the marriage lasts..Lol.
Was told a tire under warranty was not fixable and charged for a new one. Took the old tire to the Mavis on Aramingo where the Assistant Manager told me he could fix the tire. He also said that they would fix that tire under their warranty. Contacted the Regional manager who claimed that the assistant manager of their tire shop didnt know about tire policy. I dont know why she thought Id believe that but she was happy to leave it at that. Beware of deceptful practice or apparently admittedly clueless management. Filed a complaint with BBB. Avoid this place. It looks like most people do based on the one sitting mechanic with like 8 empty bay doors.
So i drop the car off was assured there would be no issues. i have the 4 wheels i drove there on and 4 in the car. i need the ones in the car to have the tires changed and put on the car and the ones on the car simply removed and put in the car. called me 15 min before closing after i had already got a 30$ lift and was headed that way to tell me they hadnt even started and if i could leave it over night. so i tell them they can change the tires and just put them back in the car and not worry about swapping them on car. after i got there i realized it only lakes a minute to change a tire. so i ask if theres any way they could do it and the lady tells me me they can but will have to charge me 8 service fees. 4 for the wheels on the car, (that are having nothing done simply taken off like they would have had to do anyway) and 4 for the tires we have to take off the extra rims. oh and the 4 we are putting on the rims so 12. 19.99 x 12 $240 dollars to change the tires plus 89.99 a tire? do not let these guys rip you off. i saw them charge a kid 80 dollars to put in an air filter he had already bought. this place is not a good place to go to.
Thjs location has been great since I relocated here in 2017. They have maintained my vehicle and worked on my daughters vehicle. I was skeptical at first moving from Georgia and my vehicle had only been maintained and serviced by the Nissan dealership. Mavis was a great choice, and the gentleman working at this location are Awesome. I appreciate their knowledge and courtesy. The prices are great as well
Had an appointment 10 am, called at 12:15 and was told a half hour. Has some drive me down to pick up my car at 12:55 and was told it would be done shortly. Still here at 1:37 and told the guy was at lunch. Never again. The worst experience ever. Also posted on social media.
I do not recommend it at all, I made an appointment online for the inspection of my car after that one of the workers called me to certify the appointment, when the person who had a white shirt arrives he tells me that they cannot inspect me auot without saying why, this has already happened to me 2 times with the same person. Not recommended, unprofessional, rude.
Terrible service!! It’s 5pm, store hours say open til 6. My husband had a piece of metal in his tire and went for assistance. Was told no at 5:02pm because they close At 6. He asked if he could pay to have air put in his tire so he could go somewhere who would help and again was told no! Totally rude about it too! At Pep Boys now being helped, thank god! Will NEVER come back to Mavis!!!
I came to this Mavis after the one on Aramingo gave me the runaround and wouldnt be able to fix my flat for 2days. I called Jamel who told me to bring it in the next day at 9. In less than an hour I was DONE! Good service, great music; Im never going to Aramingo Ave again!!
DISHONEST!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS SPECIFIC MAVIS!!! WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU IF YOU DONT KNOW THE BUSINESS!!! Refused to replace bad battery that they installed in my family members car 2 years ago with a 3 year free replacement. Charging system perfect 14volts both loaded and unloaded. No parasitic draw/drain on battery. Battery test showed bad cell and was no longer capable of producing required cold cranking amps needed for start up. What should of been a routine warranty replacement, turned into a customer having to do business elsewhere due to either being lied to or was misinformed from unknowledgeable management. Service writer avoided having to replace under warranty by lying and saying there was a drain and battery was not bad. Don’t ever do new business with this shop and if forced to then make sure you bring someone with you that won’t allow you to get swindled like my family was.
I do NOT recommend this location. Upon buying 4 tires, I filled out a Goodyear Rebate expecting $40 back. Goodyear told me that the location did not participate in the program (which the mgr told me they did). I followed up with the Mavis DM Lou & he never even returned my phone calls! Then after a month 1 of the tires needed to be replaced. The tech broke my tire pressure gauge & told me that it was broken prior to bringing the car in, which was a flat out lie. I even had the dealership write a letter stating that it had to snap when they took the rim off. Mavis offered to repair it for an additional $128. I will never go back there again! Terrible response, no satisfaction!
Only short a star because I couldn’t get my car fixed 😔. BUT everyone here was nice and helped me get a better understanding on what was wrong with my car. I’m going to assume he’s the manager(wore a white shirt) had little time but a lot of patience. Even though a customer tried to say it was a bad place I stayed to make my own judgement. If it was so bad then why was she there is what I kept thinking. Anyway I have never walked into an auto shop and had people show some concern it’s not about the dollar amount it’s about the way they acted. Hands down one of the best auto shops I could’ve ever walked in.
I called the store for a quote on tires and the price was great and customer service wanted my busines and accommodated me with a great quote, that’s exceptional customer service as soon as I got to the store i spoke with Chris and he happily served me and kept it real and told me if I can drop of the vehicle he would guarantee me it will get done before closing at 5pm. I Reccomend this shop to anyone, keep up the good work. You have a customer. Thanks to the staff.
I took my daughter here to buy a replacement tire for her car. From sales person at the front desk to the service technician who did the work, the experience was good and professional!The only negative was the price ($93.00) of replacing her turn signal light, which I had already purchased and ask them to install....
Most horrible experience ever dealing with this place they took advantage of my elderly mother she purchased four tires from them and warranty for all the tires then not long after wound up with A nail in each back tire when she took it back there to get it taken care of they told her that the one tire was not fixable , The sad part is they took a vantage of my mother I am a mechanic I looked at the tire before she went there I was going to plug it myself once she told me she had a warranty I let her go back there to take care of it but the horrible staff that they have there lied to her and charged her for a brand new tire told her that the warranty does not cover that type of damage . How does anyone in this world live with himself taking advantage of an elderly woman especially in a time like this with all of this pandemic going on and I would never refer anybody to going to this establishment !!!! This was the one located at 6300 Frankford Ave. , And the worst part is when she took her car there at 10:30 in the morning they told her they were not able to bring it in to look at it until at least 1 o’clock but when she got there there so-called mechanic or tire guy whatever he is was sitting in the garage bay with no cars in there just sitting around and when she went inside the manager with the white shirt was standing in the garage area on his cell phone and made my mother wait at least 15 minutes while he finished up his personal phone call on his cell phone before he even asked my mother if he could help her !!! This just shows what kind of ignorant people are out there💯
Unbelievable!! I have spent over 14hours for my tires to be mounted in two separate days. I feel like one complaint is NOT enough for this place!!! At first I waited from 11 to close. When I get the car back it shakes at 45mph and leans badly to the left side plus they messed up my tpms. Came back next day to telle unfortunately we are busy can you come back tomorrow!!! What!!!!! After arguing with them and calling the main branch, they decided to leave my car last after dropping it off at 11 again!! Got my car back 45min after closing.One the mistakes I have ever made. My brother warned me from them though but I didnt listen!!Personally I would recommend anyone to stay away from this place!! I dont know about other places but Mavis will never be an option for me again!!Thanks for ******* me up!!!
Made an appappointment, have confirmation email (which neither means nothing) and still waited 4 hours and 18 minutes. Called them because havent heard from them and was told car is finished and i can come pick it up. Smh. I arrived and I went straight to the parking spot where they put my car at so I can check the tires before going into store and paying. Old tires was still on my car!! I had to record that. They replace my brand new 2020 front tires that was install 2 mos ago. I walked in and Id ask is my car done? They check the system and said yeah its right there. Two rear tires right? I said Yes. So why are my old tires still there? Guy went and checked and came back in and laughed. Showed me paper work that does confirm rear tires and told me the mechanic changed the front tires by accident, to give him 20 minutes. I asked if he can put back my new tires back on the front where it belongs and change the rear please. Short Hispanic guy comes out from the back still laughing as he got in my car to drove to the back. Then, some of the staff was talking real disrespectful and degrading different customers while having personal conversations. Glad it was witnesses and recordings. Had to wait another 40 mins and got my car back with all missing tire caps. Wow!!Place so unprofessional and laz . I Can only imagine the mechanic work done to other people cars if they can even read the paper of which tires!
Originally months ago I rated them a 5 star but my thoughts have definitely changed. I have been to Mavis a few times before this last time and I am really disappointed. I got a verbal quote for front breaks n pads n they the guy Christisn tells me that my price is no more than 215 and then when I do bring my car back 4 days later to have it done, its almost a hundred more dollars than what I was told the other day. So the best they could do was match my car dealerships price which wasnt near my original quote.. very unhappy. I will not be going back for anything to be done bc I thought this was supposed to be a discount store and not charge dealership prices and dont keep their words on verbal quotes.
Currently sitting here in the shop for 3 hours to fix a simple tire leak. When they called me back to show me the leak, there was about 5 mechanics standing around just talking. My car has been sitting up on the rack for the last hour with nobody working on it. They will waste your time to charge you more. Will not be back.

Dropped my car off at 9am for a APPOINTMENT to get the tires changed. 2pm just arrived to see my car still in the spot I parked it with nothing done. Have work at 4pm. Currently they’re working on no cars ion the lifts so I’m not sure why my car hasn’t been touched. It is what it is. Don’t go here expecting good customer service or for tires in a timely fashion. Only come here if you wanna hang out all day for nothing. Complete waste of time will never be back
I had a flat tire & when i went in they wanted me to wait 2 hours for a flat tire something as simply as 123. I saw employees sitting down as well. I went to Bernies tire shop yes they had couple cars but even that they took 10 mins to fix my problem. Won’t be going to this place again.
The New manager they have Lou is a con artists and only want to rip the customers off. Word of advice stay away from that place. They have no clue what they doing their. 👎👎👎👎👎👎 im going back to my personal mechanic that always give the best advice and fair price. They wanted 200 for brakes done at STS, i took it to my guy and he did it professional for 50.00 and he can to me. Convenient
Very ignorant staff. Tried charging me 25$ for a flat repair ($15 more then anywhere else) another 20 bucks I could have purchased a new tire from Walmart. The price was brought down when I complained but it took 4 hours to fix a flat. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Pretty sure the people with good reviews on here work there. Seems like everybody there hates their job. Never going there again. Complete rip offs
Do not go here. I went in yesterday to get a tire replaced what should have only taken about 20 minutes while I waited. The one they had in stock had a manufacturer defect in it. I was told it would take 2.5-3 hours to get a replacement delivered from another store and I was trapped there. 5 hours later I got my car back and the employees had not put the correct amount of air into the tire. When I got home the following day I realized they had forgotten to put the valve stem caps back on. So their lack of care and attention to detail is poor and they need to work on their customer service skills.
They did a tire alignment and broke my steering axle. 5 other mechanics confirmed it was broken by whoever attempted the tire alignment. They claimed to know nothing even though the car was immediately malfunctioning when I drove off there property. They still deny it and I have to pay hundreds to fix a problem I never had until went there.
They got the tires on the car, but there was NO appreciation for time management, or that my time was valuable. I was told the 1st tire would take 15 min..... at 1.5 hours, I was a little annoyed. I had to bring the car bag ok for the 2nd tire, and another 2 hour wait. Id have been happy to leave the car and do other stuff, but they were certain it would take less than an hour. Just a bad experience.
I had my front brakes sd rotors done in August 2019 and all was good. So when I needed my rear brakes and rotors I returned. That week I noticed that my breaks was making noise when applied when I had no noises before the job was done. By weeks end my rear brakes were making a lousy squealing noise just while driving not applying them. So I went back to have them take a look. Upon leaving i was told a pebble of some kind wedged itself between my break and rotors and i should watch were i drive. Sure its my fault, okay! Well now Im having trouble with Im assuming balancing of my tires because my drive feels ruff, its now always to the right, and when making turns my tires screech. I told the manager Christenson that I wanted to bring it in and the attitude I received was anything but welcoming. He said we changed your brakes it has nothing to do with your steering. Clearly he wasnt listening to me. Then he wanted me to bring my car in Mon. Or Tues. Because Sunday wasnt convenient for them. Well for me to have to com there 3 weekend in a row is not convenient for me. And I feel the reception I got should have been more welcoming than I received. I was told the amount of work they already had and Id have to wait. Why this is my third time back, I should be priority. Well Im taking back Hopefully I wont have any issues. Ill update after my visit.
I called and was quoted one thing from customer service but in store told another. As soon as I walk in, I was informed that it would be an additional $75 for labor and services even though my original quote included labor and all costs. I felt like the guy at the counter tried to take advantage of me and was adding on additional BS things. When I told him that it was a completely different amount, he offered to provide a small discount. He informed me that customer service does not know what they are doing and provided the wrong price. Called another store and was told they dont even have my tires available at any stores locally and would have to get them shipped from Delaware. Makes me wonder what they actually were going to put on my car in the first place. I would recommend going somewhere else instead of driving down with price expectations and being told additional costs were being added.
I came in for $80 brake check and pad replacement. After spending 2 plus hours here I noticed the car sounded different. Mechanic forgot to put oil cap back on after oil change! Fortunately my engine didnt seize, but I dont think Im going back. Lesson is, 8f something doesnt sound right, take it back immediately!!!! One star!!!
These people are criminal and should be shut down. They charged my daughter in law almost $900.00 telling her she needed valve cover gaskets a tune up and a $96.00 engine diagnostic test. When she picked up her car it was sputtering and stalling. The car completely stopped running less than 24 hours after she picked it up. They told her she needed a new engine. They say the never did the diagnostic test. They did $900.00 of engine work and than told her the next day she needed a new engine. They refused to refund any of her money.
Dont waste your time going here. Customer service is horrible. Had a 12pm appointment for tires and alignment they still didnt take my car at 3pm. Lady next to me was there since 9am for an oil change 🤣 I left getting tires from somewhere else even if I have to spend a little more. Worst customers service ever. I do not receive this place at all.

The guys here know what they’re doing. Also, the prices here are reasonable & they take Apple Pay which is a plus! 10/10 would recommend 😊

2022-06-21I highly recommend taking your car here. I have gone to mavis two times already once for a new tire and today to have a screw removed from a different tire and everyone working there are so nice. I have a small child and do a lot of road trips so I need a reliable car. Micah the auto technician was extremely helpful showing me some of the things that need to be replaced. He took the time to explain everything with the car on the lift so I can see for myself what repairs we need to make. Danny entertained my 3 year old and now she wants to be a mechanic. So thank you Micah and Danny for such great service and professionalism.

2022-03-25Jeremy and Jamie were professional and courteous. I called them on Wednesday and they didn’t have my tires in stock but could get them by the next day. Less than 24 hours they had my tires and scheduled me to come in on Friday. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I will let all my family and friends about the great service I receive and I will continue to use them in the future

2021-02-04WE HAVE A RESOLUTION: 02/04/21So after speaking to customer service, and the regional manager Stacey called me, they fixed the issue and i wanted to bring it to every one’s attention. So we started with 1 star review and i just changed to 4 starts. I can’t let myself delete the entire issue because we all need to be reminded of what happened so that we are reminded not to let it happen again.Poor customer service! I called in ahead toldthem what i needed, i sent my brother to have the tire replaced, and do alignment, $150 bill. He got here and they said they could not do the job “due to the snow” 01/02/21 (see picture), so he proceeded to drop off the vehicle until the next day since he couldn’t take the car anywhere else due to a flat tire and he was already driving on the rim it self. Now the technician was sleeping (see pictures) all the bays were empty and the guy behind the counter was not picking up any calls he was ignoring all the calls coming in, i kept calling and he never picked the call again! Today 02/03/21 i came to pick the vehicle, tire was replaced, alignment was done, and oil changed, OIL CHANGED? i never request the oil change!!Now $225 bill due! And they couldn’t provide invoice, asked to come back the next day for invoice and to speak to a manager!FIRST AND LAST TIME CUSTOMER AT MAVIS!
