Beautiful, well crafted work. The shoes look new again! He will assess what you have, and if repair wont be possible, hell tell you.

This is a great, family-owned shop in the heart of uptown Lebo. I have taken many shoes and bags here over the years for maintenance. Last week, I went in and had a nice chat with the owner, Ross, about running a business through the pandemic. Super friendly, helpful guy. He fixed up a couple pairs of new designer shoes for me—some Gucci loafers and Prada sandals that were both a little snug from being brand new, thick/stiff leather. He put both pairs on a stretcher for a week, and now they are both the absolute perfect fit!! I’m so grateful that my investment shoes feel and look perfect without a prolonged break-in period. He also cleaned up a leather handbag for me and waterproofed a pair of boots. All of this was done at a low price and within a week (stretching takes time!). I forgot the shop is cash only, but I was able to pay at pickup. Highly recommend!

Low rent, chicken scratch, piece of s***Heres why: Been a customer for 20 years. Commonwealth developed a program/agreed to pay for orthopedic shoe corrections moving forward, i.e., they mail Mr. DeCastro (Ross) a check. Customer (me) completes the paperwork, provides stamped addressed envelope.. and then DeCastro refuses to provide EIN (not to me mind you, but to the state) as required by the state. Presumably because shop owner is cheating on his taxes or hiding income from his ex-wife. Low rent, no class, dirtball.FYI: you & I pay more, higher taxes, because of people like him.heel - $30, sole - $50. A frequent theme from the other Yelp reviews is, cash only, hum.. ? Shop is welcome to attempt to refute this Irrefutable Review.

An old fashioned shoe cobbler. I took my Sperry Topsiders to get the sole sewn back on. They will be good for another 10 yrs.

I took my Wolverine 1000 Mile boots to Mt Lebanon Shoe Repair for a full resole. There was a hole worn through the leather sole and the heel was quite worn. When I took the boots in I was told that they would need the entire sole replaced, which I already knew and is what I wanted. Because it was cash only, I paid $120 up front for the sole replacement, heel replacement, and a rubber sole topper. From my research leading up to selecting a cobbler, I knew $120 was a fair price for that work so I didnt argue or question it.Fast forward a week and I get the boots back. I didnt notice in the store but when I got them home i found that they had only replaced a half sole, rebuilt the toe, added the rubber topper, and replaced the heel. The work was good, but it wasnt what I wanted - or paid for.I took the boots back the following weekend to Mt Lebanon Shoe Repair to ask about why work I paid for wasnt done. I was told that the boots couldnt be fully resoled without damaging them because of their construction (which I knew was wrong because Ive seen Wolverine 1000 Miles resoled before - but I didnt know WHY it was wrong at the time) and that the $120 was the price for the work done.I asked an expert shoe community for goodyear welted shoes and they said I overpaid - that the work done should have been $70 tops and that my boots can be resoled 100% without issues.Again, the work they did was good - It wouldve been a great repair on cheaper boots but the work done is not what Id expect on $350 Goodyear welted Wolverines that were designed to be resoled.

I have been using this cobbler for years. His workmanship is always excellent, his prices more than fair. Just this morning, I took in a pair of old shoes that I really liked that were pretty beat. He looked them over and explained why it would not make sense to invest in new soles and heels. Honest guy too.If you live in our area and need shoe repair, this is the guy to use. Period.

Absolutely phenomenal - I had a gradient on a pair of Ariat Chelsea boots that no other cobbler could restore, not to mention all the abuse I have heaped upon them! This cobbler did an outstanding job restoring the gradient and polish, installing new heels, and gluing a stubborn sole. My jaw dropped when I saw them - this guy is the BEST!
