I really love this venue when theyre on and they were tonight when we saw Lotus Land (American Rush Tribute). Fresh food, good service, friendly people and a true effort to try to space people apart while respecting that people paid more money to be closer, etc. This show was delayed 1.5 years but was worth the wait. Well be back. This was a much better experience than our last visit before the pandemic hit. Nice job Steel Stacks!
Good bookings, sound and stage are great, almost all of the seats offer a good view, friendly volunteer staff.A big downside for us is that other than the french fries, the food sucks. Weve started to eat elsewhere before the show. The other day, the sole dessert option was barely thawed freezer burned cheesecake, yum!A challenge for all of us these days, is how to be indoors safely in close proximity with other people. My wife and I have both had covid, with me in the hospital. We are both vaccinated and very careful. When we receded at our table with strangers, I asked if they were vaccinated, to which they replied no. They grudgingly put masks on and were only fairly diligent with it thereafter. It was not a pleasant atmosphere and they were less than diligent about keeping them on.I dont know the answer for this type of situation. They used to segregate restaurants and planes with smoking and nonsmoking sections, do we need to do that for vaccinated and unvaccinated in restaurants and theaters?
Awesome concert venue with wonderful views of the river and old steel factory through the giant floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall windows. Big enough for a good crowd but small enough that everyone can see and hear. Surprisingly good acoustics. Food and drinks available at the cafe.If the Philadelphia Funk Authority is ever performing there, make an effort to go see them.
Great venue! Great location! Free parking! Only thing I didnt love was we paid extra for seats instead of standing room only and no one directed us to them so we ordered food from the wrong Location and then still had the food minimum when we got to out seats. It wasnt a big deal but I wish we new to just go up another flight of stairs!
Absolutely fantastic intimate venue. My only gripe is the chairs were rather uncomfortable as they were the cheap padded metal chairs youd see at a church function and had zero padding. We had a little trouble finding the venue as well as signage was all but nonexistent. The staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable though! Would definitely see another show here, just hope next time the seats are a bit more comfy.
Carbon Leaf is awesome. The 2 stars is for the venue. I’ve never been more penalized for buying a ticket in the front. The lights were blinding. I spent about 1/2 of the show with my eyes closed. The voices were way too soft. The bass drum and bass guitar were way too loud (and I love bass)! Hearing distortion at a live concert is not good! This is the first bad presentation I’ve had here. I hope it’s a one off!
Been here a few times. Foods good but service is slow during a show. Wait staff is always great. Not a bad seat in the house except perhaps along the stage right/house left bar against the glass. Stage is elevated about 3 ft. We sit directly in front of stage and have to look up at the performers. 2nd level (4th) floor feels like its only 30 feet away from its rail.
Great venue, not a bad seat in the house, but the food is sub par. Ive been there three times now and the food always comes out cold. We ordered a burger, and it was room temperature, overcooked and tasted like it came from a preformed Walmart frozen food section. Ive had better burgers at drive in restaurants for a quarter of the price. If youre going to see a show, take my advice and skip the meal. It will save you money.
This place resides in Steelstacks in Bethlehem, PA. It is a restaurant with a focus on presenting live music in an intimate setting. Fairly small venue, so theres not a bad seat in the place. The sound is well balanced without being excessively loud. The food is a bit pricey, but it is delicious!
This is a really nice indoor venue and I just love to see the towering Steel Stacks lit up at night. Since the building is mostly windows, you can see them from inside as well, which is really cool! This is such an important piece of local history that has been preserved here, its like visiting a giant museum display with the added bonus of excellent live music! Bethlehem Steel was once the heart and soul of the Lehigh Valley, its great to see its being revitalized with music and arts events.
I saw Melanie perform here. The sound was wonderful, the server attentive and caring, and Melanie and her son were amazing. She came out to meet us afterwards, signing albums, ... with her autograph. She performed at Woodstock 50 years ago, her music is deep, and uplifting.
After visiting Cafe several times for different events Id have to say that I am pretty impressed overallThe only issue with the comic event was that organization on checking the tickets to get in on third floor. Very unorganized and the staff was not willing to help the situation until there was a large group of people with the same issue.
The whole SteelStacks development is a cool and multifunctional venue for the Bethlehem area. Musikfest cafe itself is a good space for music, and the food, drinks, and service are top notch. Only tradeoff is the short menu, which is improved by frequent changes. It can still be limiting for people with dietary issues, particularly more than one. The service staff was great about accommodating both our pescatarian diets and a rare food allergy, though, so kudos to them! Dessert was amazing. The worst thing about Musikfest Cafe is finding it. There is no clear directory either online or at Steelstacks of where things are, and the website still has references to a restaurant that isnt there anymore. I suspect like so many other Pennsylvania places, though, the people in charge arent thinking in terms of visitors from elsewhere. The assumption often seems to be that everyone here is fifth-generation and youll just...know. Even with something new. I know a lot of people would never deduct a star for this, but I really care about clarity and organization. Making it easy to visit your space is the difference between a four and a five-star experience.
The Craig Thatcher Band tribute to Cream was absolutely phenomenal. I saw Cream in concert 50 years ago and Craig and the rest of the band really nailed the feel and the intensity of their music. I cant say enough about the drummer, the bass player/ vocalist, and Mr. Thatcher.
A variety of entertainment hereI got for the comedy which is always funThe movies always are recent and they have a movie showing with discussion following which sounds interestingThe grounds are nice to walk around in. The architecture is wonderful and the skywalk, whether it be day or night is so pleasantA continuous schedule of activities year round keeps you coming backCertainly makes Bethlehem a nice destination!

2022-02-03Always great working at the artsplex! As a DJ, hooking into the house sound saves us a lot of time. The room is open with a large mezzanine overlooking the stage and main floor. Plenty of room for photo booths, VR stations, caricatures and other activities that we’ve seen here while djing events! We’ve provided DJs here, photo booths, and lighting over the years. Always pleasant working with the venue coordinator here and the techs who are sharp and happy to help. Highly recommended for a state of the art, industrial and modern venue!

2021-12-20Had an awesome time at the FUEL concert, its a small venue and had no problems during the concert, no mask requirements and no vax requirements made it a great time and I highly recommend going there for any concert you might like, staff was very friendly and helpful, place was clean and open, the band even staid afterwards to great as many fans as they could before the doors were closed. I will definitely go back.

2018-04-20Amazing venue. The sights and sounds at the Cafe are second to none. I felt honored to be in a renovated building where people worked so hard to make a living. The staff at the Cafe were so helpful and polite. Very clean and a ton of bathrooms! So organized.

2020-02-19First time at a show here and will absolutely be back for more! Not a bad seat in the place. Wait staff comes to your table, plenty of room to dance off to the side, and the drink prices are super reasonable ($6 cocktails!).

2022-01-08Ahhhhhh .. the first of hopefully many fun events of the year! Went to see The Nerds tonight at The MusikFest Cafe at SteelStacks. Cant go wrong with this venue. I dont believe theres a bad seat in the house! Ample room to dance, servers are attentive, seating is comfortable, restrooms are decent with plenty of stalls to accommodate visitors .. no waiting in line, Ladies! Nice lounge area downstairs to have a drink and some food at the bar. Bartender was pleasant. Cant wait to check out more events throughout the year!!
