This place saved my New Years/week! Around 3 pm the day before NYE I found out my HVAC system wasnt working and my heat had dropped to 62....after calling around town and it being an holiday evening I was having a hard time getting anyone scheduled until I found Northern Liberties Heating & Conditioning. They were very responsive and worked to fit me in their schedule despite being busy. Upon arrival Nestor was extremely professional, explained everything along the way (what he was doing to diagnose and then the problem and fix), and most important got my heat back up and running in no time. Being a new(ish) homeowner, I cannot recommend this company more for their superior service and competitive pricing... He will absolutely be my first call every time!
Nestor and Virginia are lovely to work with. Extremely responsive and quick to help out in a pinch. Nestor immediately walked me through some bad work that had been done to my home and helped me action the steps to fix the problem. I highly recommend this business.
I was selling a house in northern liberties and after a the inspection realized we were going to have to get some work done on our fairly new HVAC system, which was surprising and nerve wracking.. Nestor was AWESOME! He made it so much less stressful. He immediately found out what was wrong.. literally the day I called he went to my house, figured out the problem, fixed the problem, and had the invoice along with the inspection write up for me the very next day so I could give it to the buyers of my home. We needed service on our AC/Condenser ASAP. Nestor picked up the phone on the first call, came through early the next day, fixed our issue AND checked out our furnace for a little maintenance and some much better recommendations on how to take care of it in the future. Northern Liberties Heating & Air Conditioning is DEFINITELY going to be our go-to for literally all our HVAC needs from here on out. On top of all that, hes just a great dude! Cant recommend this place enough.

Nestor came quickly and was professional and well prepared. Since it was 9:30pm and I had just called I was not sure what to expect. But when talking to Nestor he explained the process for a visit and arrived quickly. He diagnosed a problem that had not been by another HVAC company who was here only a week ago. He did not rush anything and took the time to be careful and to be sure to find the problem. He got my heating system was working, and there was a part that was needed to be eventually replaced that he showed me. He explained exactly why and what the problem was. I can’t say enough about him, great job.
During this busy time of year with heating repairs etc Northern Liberties Heating & Air Conditioning not only were available IMMEDIATELY...The Tech came out right away, did a full diagnosis on the issues and came the next day and did all MAJOR...repairs. I was beyond satisfied and wont even forget to mention how affordable they are. I recieved a quote for half the work double the price else where. You will not go wrong...with this company. I had heating issues in the morning. I called and Nestor quickly responded and was able to come out the same day and diagnose the issue. He was very courteous and professional, and will be using Northern Liberties Heating and Air for any future projects.
I worked directly with the owner (Nestor). He was terrific! His communication was awesome, he is very knowledgeable about HVAC systems and he’s all about doing things the right way. Whoever installed my other furnace did a horrible job and Nester cleaned it all up. He also was very supportive and reassuring during the process (solid customer service). Nestor fixed our heater after it quit working. He was very timely with getting the necessary parts and was always professional. The rates were really reasonable.
This was an interesting experience and I just want to state exactly what happened. I try to usually be understanding of small business needs and give leeway. This time it was just too much.I called this company because they had serviced the house I had just bought. This house was now blowing cold air in heating mode. I called this company because that should have been fixed when everything was serviced. From the first time I called (before even coming in the house) he was saying I need a new heater. He came here asked the price of my house (then assumed I had money) and told me I was to pay 6500 for a new heater.This heater was only 6 years old and previously deemed well maintained by the employee here Nestor.That day I had a general plumber come for an unrelated leak. This plumber said he would take a look at my system. HE FIXED IT. THE PLUMBER SAID THERE WAS A LOOSE WIRE. This is something I would think any well established contractor should know.This leads me to think this company does not have the knowledge OR they practice very shady business tactics. Eitherway thats just my experience, theres 18 other good reviews here. I just wont be dealing with them.He said multiple times you just bought a house you can afford a new heating system. Its sad that people like this are out there.
I smelled gas coming from my HVAC system and called Northern Liberties for advice. Their expert was already in my neighborhood and swung over to my house within the hour, quickly diagnosing and addressing the problem. Wonderful experience with Northern Liberties, and I will absolutely continue working with them to maintain our HVAC system.
Excellent work all around. Nestor was able to troubleshoot the problem and stayed until the job was completed. He made sure to run a few cycles of heat to ensure everything was back working properly. If youre in the northern liberties, fishtown, port richmond, kensington areas, definitely give them your service.
Nestor replaced my water heater quickly and was super friendly to work with. Good to have a goto plumber thats right in my neighborhood. 10/10.
They have been incredibly responsive, easy to talk to, and do a great job explaining what they are doing and why. Our technician was friendly and walked us through everything we needed and provided options for us. Will always call them first for any HVAC issue.
Nester was great! I called him and within MINUTES he showed up at my house with the right tools and knowledge to fix our problem. I have never received such quick service like that before, it was really helpful! I highly recommend him.
I noticed our AC broke at around 7 PM on a Monday night. I called them around 8 or 9 PM and they answered immediately (unlike the others I called) and scheduled my service for the next morning. After assessing the situation and coming back with the parts for repair, our AC was back up by 4 PM. Less than 24 hours out of service! They even showed me a few minor things I should do to make the AC system last longer.I love this company!
This company is great - customer service was awesome and responsive via text. Great service, quick turnaround and response time. Came out with mask and did a great job. Our heat was inconsistent throughout the house so helped diagnose the issue and recommendations for improvement. Would absolutely use for all future service and highly recommend to anyone!

I couldnt have asked for more. I was expecting to pay a few hundred more then they charged me. The owner came out and gave me an estimate. Very thorough at what he does! I had trouble this past winter with my heating and he stayed in my basement for an hour to make sure my heating was working properly for me and my little boy. Awesome company, fair price and super nice! My ONLY go to Guy!

2022-06-08I rarely do reviews , but had too! Just to keep it short and sweet, AC went on of course the hottest recent holiday weekend and we reached out to a few places and just couldn’t get any one out fast enough !! Came Across and called Northern Liberties and Virginia and Nestor were both very helpful and willing to come right out! Very up front , and prices were fair!! Nestor really knew his stuff and fixed the problem , house has been colder than before it broke !! Lately just bad experiences One after another , will definitely be using again if need and referring in future! Thanks again !!!

I work in real estate and my clients were given a quote that seemed a little high for an hvac service/tune up, and sure enough, they beat the price and were incredibly easy to work with. It was really nice to be able to text and we also were able to adjust the appointment by a day without any complaints, so that was appreciated as well.

2022-07-13Background: I bought an old house with old HVAC system that needed a full system replacement. I knew the previous system was old but wasnt sure entirely what i needed based on some of the issues i was having (Thermostat not cooling to the set temperature by a few degrees, bad air circulation, musky smell, etc.).I reached out to a few different companies but after speaking with Nestor and Northern Liberties Heating & Air Conditioning it was clear I was going to move forward with them for the work. Nestor came over pretty quickly after I reached out to the number on the site. I mentioned the issues I was having and we walked through the house to breakdown everything that needed attention and what the possible solutions were. He tallied it all up and sent an estimate a couple of days later. He stayed in constant communication with me throughout the process which i appreciated as I had to push back installation a couple of times. In addition to being a great value, I really appreciated how everything was broken down into detail whenever we were talking about the job at hand and the changes he was making as he was making them. I think many contractors can perform the job at hand and probably be fine, but he really provided a lot of sage advice in managing the system moving forward and best practices to extend the life of the system. Removing the old unit and doing a full system replacement has been night and day for the house needed. The air quality, the smell, the circulation and general feel of it when you walk in has improved dramatically and I couldnt be happier. I definitely recommend and will be referring others in the area that may need HVAC work moving forward.

2022-06-07I had an issue with my AC coolant lines freezing and the system shutting down because of it. I called Nestor yesterday to see if he could come check it out. He came today exactly on time, figured out the issue, and had it fixed in under 2 hours while explaining everything he was doing to me and giving me a few recommendations. Great service, would highly recommend to anyone in the Fishtown/Olde Kensington/Northern Liberties area.

2022-08-14Best around— even though I continued to have problems after they had come out I knew it wasn’t because of the work they did it was because our system is very old and needed to be replaced. Nestor, Virginia and the crew are all great. Wouldn’t hesitate to use for as long as we’re in the neighborhood

2021-07-09We had a great experience with Northern Liberties Heating & Air Conditioning. Nestor was able to come out quickly and identify a leak that multiple other companies had missed (or ignored). Instead of just adding more freon and giving me a bill, he actually identified the problem, repaired it and got our system working better than it has since weve owned our home. I had another company out for two visits just days before I called Nestor and that company told me Id need to replace the entire unit. Unlike that company, Nestor is honest, values his customers and takes pride in his work. I feel confident that Northern Liberties Heating & AC will stand by their work and theyll be the first ones I call from now on. Highly highly recommend.

2020-11-29Northern Liberties HVAC exceeded all my expectations for Philadelphia. I am an owner of properties in several States and cities. Philadelphia is one of the worst locations for service of all kind. But; Northern Liberties HVAC is my first to call now. He and his staff were friendly and cooperative to my tenants; they communicated problems and issues related to the flu issues. Im bringing this company back in the spring to look at all of my HVAC systems.

2021-07-31Called when my AC stopped working suddenly and Nestor was able to come out same day to diagnose the problem. He was able to fix the problem quickly but also explained exactly what was preventing my house from cooling down properly. Nestor’s thoroughness prompted me to go ahead and get my entire HVAC updated. Best decision, especially with the sweltering summer this year. Not only was Nestor incredibly responsive, but after each day explained exactly what they were installing and why. I feel like I gained a ton of knowledge about something that’s so important to my house but I’ve always overlooked. Thank you!

You can tell that Nestor’s priority is helping the customers get what they need, coming off more as a friendly neighbor than a business owner.
