Strongly recommend buying tires from this location. Fast, friendly, helpful customer service. I had a flat and not only did they wait on me to get to the shop but they stayed open past closing to get me taken care of and back on the road. Best customer service interaction Ive had in a long time!!
Great place!! Real good mechanics!!UPDATE...Down to one star. Had my car for over 8 hours and told me they couldnt recharge my ac when I have the standard new car ac. Even if it was different why would it take over 8 hours to tell me that. Manager wouldnt even contact me. I will be going somewhere else going forward.
This is another business in Pittsburgh with horrible customer service.After todays experience my review has gone from 5 stars to a big 0. After calling to get an appointment for inspection I was told to come by first thing in the morning at 8 am when they open.When I arrived for the appointment I asked if it would be done by 9 (which would be plenty of time for emissions and inspection) and was told it should be.I went for a bike ride and came back at 9 only to see my truck on the lift with no mechanic in site.While waiting in the parking lot one of the managers had time to go to the store and get some snacks but no one was working in my truck yet.At about 9:30 I asked what was the delay and are there any issues.Only to now be told Im not the only car they are working on and it may take another half hour or so.9:45 truck is still on the lift with no mechanic services.At around the same time another unsatisfied customer was also making a complaint.I also heard the same story being told to other customers as I was told.it should take about an hour.Finally around 10:30 my truck passed inspection with no work needed. I asked for cooperate office number and was told they dont have it.Thankful for Google I got the number.All in all I waited over 2 hours for an inspection that took a total of 30 minutes.And no apologies for wasting my time.but I did get a mouthful of attitude.
Had an inspection scheduled today at 9:30am. Came to drop off at 9:10am. Office was dangerously hot - no AC and felt above 90 degrees. No one came to the front to check me in. After 10 minutes I made those in the back aware I was there. One mechanic finished up a car and came around front to tell me the person responsible for checkins will be out shortly. I left at 9:40am without getting my car dropped off because I have work to do. 30 minutes. Let me make it clear I dont blame the mechanics. As for management - the heat in the office is irresponsible and borderline dangerous. I dont blame anyone for not being able to sit in there. Will not return.
Quick details: Their service for tires is ok. (5) Tire changes. Not too expensive, but not cheap. Not great service, but not bad. Ive had trouble getting the tires I WANT, because they dont always have them in-stock. My experience with batteries, has been terrible. The batteries arent always in stock, they try to up-sell you, and theyre terrible with warranty replacements. Also, they claim they dont have battery chargers (which is usually necessary when determining if a battery is bad, and needs replacing) National Tire & BATTERY..... doesnt have a BATTERY CHARGER? My time is worth something and so is yours- if you have bad-luck on a battery purchase from NTB, and its covered under warranty, you can expect a long, drawn-out replacement process that involves lugging around a heavy battery to NTB and then visiting EVERY OTHER AUTO STORE IN THE AREA multiple times before you make ANY headway. Even after (7) trips to NTB & (6) trips to OReilly, AutoZone & Advanced Auto; I was still unable to have my battery replaced under warranty at NTB. I had to buy a new battery, then send receipts and all the battery test reports to Interstate, before receiving a refund 30 days later. Bottom-line: Go to OReilly, AutoZone or Adv Auto if you want a battery. Go to NTB if you want mediocre Tire Service.Full Battery Experience: (2) Battery purchases, both Interstate Brand. The first battery lasted for 6 years! Second battery, lasted for 3 months. I returned & replaced it under warranty- but they no longer had the battery in stock; so they convinced me to pay a little extra for a better battery. The better-battery, lasted for 6 months. I took it back to NTB to have it replaced under warranty, but their battery tester result said: RECHARGE & RE-TEST. I explained that the voltage on the battery was so low (1.35 volts), that my battery charger wouldnt even charge the battery. I asked if they could charge it & they said: No, we dont have a charger. So, I took the battery to OReilly Auto Parts & had them re-charge the battery and test it. 3 hours later, I picked up the battery and received a print-out/explanation that the battery had a bad-cell. I took the battery back to NTB, showed the print-out & had them test the battery again. Their tester provided the same result: RECHARGE & RE-TEST.I take the battery home, put it back on my charger. Begin with a voltage test. Voltage dropped so quickly that the charger could not charge the battery. Take the battery to AutoZone, have them test & recharge. Their tester indicates its a bad battery. Take it back to NTB, their tester says RECHARGE & RE-TEST. Take the battery to Advanced Auto, have them test & recharge. Their tester indicates its a bad battery. Back to NTB.... RECHARGE & RE-TEST. Back to my house, put it on my charger, it FINALLY STARTS TO CHARGE. Next morning, battery voltage back to 1.87 volts, charging failed. Back to NTB, explain the ENTIRETY of my story. They finally agree to replace it, BUT, they dont have the battery in-stock! So, I call 3 other NTB locations- only ONE has the battery in stock. I travel 25 minutes to this location, only to find that they closed at 5pm. Something the employee failed to tell me when I called and said I would be in shortly to pick up the replacement battery. Take the battery back home. Called this Bethel Park location a few days later to see if they had the battery I needed in stock & they said yes. I bring in my battery, they do the test, I explain that the last time I brought it in, they were willing to replace it; but this time, they were not willing to replace it. They speak to their manager, then suggest I call Interstate.My issue: So, the battery was bad. Thats Interstates problem, right? They made a poor product that was either manufactured incorrectly or damaged in delivery to the store. But, they protect you with a warranty. NTB has to test the battery before replacing it. If the result says RE-CHARGE & RE-TEST, then they need to have the ability re-charge and re-test the battery in-house.
Bethel Park NTB was incredible! Originally had an appointment with Pep Boys who promised to be done same day. They called at 10am and said it would take an extra day. I went to NTB and they were able to do new tires, alignment same day while being $200 less. I highly recommend. Joe (manager) was great!
Some of the best service I’ve ever had from a automotive shop. All employees followed COVID regulations and the entire shop was so clean that I questioned if they even did automotive work there. Since I’m a woman I’m always a little scared when I need to get any kind of automotive service, but the Service Manager, Cody Wilharm, did not take advantage of my ignorance and was honorable enough to tell me that I only needed two tires instead of 4. I also observed him speaking with another customer and even though that customer’s repair was quite pricey, Cody explained it to them in such a manner that the customer (and me) not only understood what and why they needed the repair, but I could tell that the customer was also grateful and relieved when given the bad news. Right before the customer left Cody also informed him that he was able to fix something in his car (I think their rear cam) and the customer had no idea that that was even possible and he and the previous owners had taken that vehicle to other mechanics. I also need to note that their tires were super affordable!! They have a price match guarantee, but I’d be surprised if anyone needed it. They were also super fast! I was in and out in about an hour! Will be going back for my other two tires and state inspection.
Cody was very professional & very friendly. I called in the morning asking if my car could be looked at asap since it was over heating & could not be driven long, plus, it was a holiday the next day & I needed it! He looked at it right away & had the car back to me within a few hours! I really appreciated the quick service. He also called me to provide me with a status of what he was doing to troubleshoot the issue. Will definitely return for future services.
I had a sudden flat tire before I was supposed to go out of town and they were able to help me out immediately, even being understaffed. Jon was so, so helpful, knowledgeable, and very nice! Couldn’t have had a better experience!! Would definitely come back in the future.
I brought my Pilot into this NTB because I had a tire that wasnt holding air. I also asked them to look into why it was still shaking despite having it at Ken Ganley Toyota 3 weeks ago where they replaced my rotors. I was informed that the caliper is bad and destroyed my new rotor and my breakpads that were good. I called the dealership and was told that it didnt matter that it had been having issues since before and after they replaced the rotors and denied that they missed the caliper being bad. They refused to do anything. These wonderful gentlemen at NTB are now fixing it all and ensuring that my vehicle is safe for me. They are taking care of me and I will be bringing my vehicles here from now on.
These guys always take such good care of me and my family. They are always so nice and efficient and the guys in the shop are hard working! They do whatever they can to get us in and out, while still doing everything to the best of their abilities. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else!! NTB has our business for life. Great work is done here consistently, they never let us down!!!
Worst service ever. I asked for my tires to be checked as my low tire pressure sensor had gone off twice in about 2 weeks ( in summer). I had called to see the status two hours later and it had just been looked at. I asked for an update, but received no response. I picked up the car an hour later, and asked what was wrong and received no response. I then checked my tires when I got home and sure enough all of them still had low tire pressure.
Awesome guys! The closing time online didnt reflect their new hours due to Covid and it let me make an appointment when they were suppose to close. Without asking they offered to do my oil change so I wouldnt have to make another trip back. Not many will willingly stay after close just to make a customer happy 🙂 Ill definitely be coming back!
Took my car in for a once over before heading out for vacation...Store Mgr Joe Kubiak got me in quickly and even made a few suggestions for a better on the road experience...He replaced my wipers, topped off my fluids, added air to my tires and sent me on my happy way...Thanks again Joe.
We have been coming to NTB in South Park for years and today’s experience with Cody reminded me of why we keep coming back. He was exceptionally helpful in selecting the proper tires for what we needed, and he couldn’t have been knowledgeable and accommodating. Very pleased and impressed. We will be back!
Joe and Mike were great. They took care of my car and explained to me what happened to my car and what they did to fix it. These guys always take care of my car and Im always impressed with the customer service here. I would highly recommend taking your car here for servicing.
I made an appointment to drop the truck off to have the brakes checked and a 45,000 service. I dropped the truck off on a Saturday morning and told the technician they need to have it completed by noon the following day. I called the next day at 10:15am and they told me that they just started to inspect my truck. I told them to stop the inspection and I will be down to pick up my truck has since he couldnt complete it. I will not go back to this location ever again.
I have been taking my vehicles here for years. Joe, the store manager, is usually who I deal with. Due to my work schedule, it is hard for me to make set appointments. Joe tells me to bring my vehicles in whenever I can and his guys will get to it that day. And they always do. Everyone is friendly and works as a team. Thanks fellas!!!!!
The gentlemen at NTB have consistently treated me and my daughter with the highest level of respect and service. I have always been very pleased with the quality, friendliness and professionalism of staff. I have taken my vehicles here for many years! I’ve taken all of my vehicles to NTB for service and they are very knowledgeable and honest. They help find you the best deals that suit you!! Joe Kubiak is always pleasant and very helpful. He goes above and beyond the duties to help out a customer. I would recommend NTB to everyone!!
They added charges to my bill that didn’t match my estimate- a couple hundred more! When I questioned it they tried to explain it away as taxes because I thought I didn’t have my original estimate with me to compare. Meanwhile they had a copy of the original in their book the whole time, but never bothered to pull it out. Once I found my original estimate in the car, the guy said ‘oh yeah glad you caught my mistake’ Had I not found it they would have gotten away with charging me well over what I was originally quoted. Very disturbing. This leaves me wondering what else they lied about or made a ‘mistake’ on.
Horrible service. Hourly rate is unbelievably high, and the quotes they give you are all too often highly inaccurate. I was quoted for price of parts for a simple wheel stud replacement. I ended up being charged for almost 2 hours labor which was $196 plus tax for a $20 repair.
Now two days after I left the review of them not replacing a desd battery thats two months old. The battery is now dead again. Im currently sitting on side of Broughton Rd waiting for a jump. Cant wait till you open tomorrow ntb.The complain I posted here two days ago has been deleted by Google or ntb.Biugt a new battery for $165 and under 2k miles later its dead.Service manager with an attitude said he wont replace it.Now its dead again.Have two babies in the car. Rain. No heat. No air. No locks. Nothing
Sure maybe its not entirely the stores fault. But I just bought a brand new 2018 Subaru from the dealership I got a flat tire and when I called and asked about tires you guys told me not we dont carry that brand. So just a heads up if you bought a brand new Subaru chances are NTB will not have your tire. Geolandar.

2021-08-05Had a tire blow out on the highway and I live over an hour away so this isn’t my regular location but Joseph was very kind and helpful. They fit me in at the last minute so that I wouldn’t be making my long drive home on a donut and another tire that was questionable. Helped me get my plan all set up that way I would be covered in the future in case there were any issues. Joseph was awesome and I highly recommend these guys!!!

2022-04-27I called for pricing to get 4 tires mounted. I was told $20/tire over the phone plus tax should bring my total to $85-$90. Total. I got there and there is all kinds of extra fees bringing the total to well over $100! I refuse to pay that. I asked the guy at the desk why I wasnt informed of all the fees? And I stated a competitor, Flynns, would do it for cheaper. He only stated that these fees are on every order. He had no explanation as to why I was not informed of the extra cost over the phone when I specifically asked for the total cost. This is not the first time this shop pulled a bunch of hidden fees on me but it will be the last! Beware, they dont tell you and will rip you off with hidden fees. Better off going to a more reputable tire place.

2022-04-19This morning was the second time that I made an appointment at 8am for an oil change and tire rotation. The first time was the same experience... I arrive at 8am and the man at the desk says his mechanic doesn’t start until 8:30, not something I want to hear as I have things to do, like getting to work, which is why I scheduled the appointment at 8am but I said I would wait anyway. At 8:45, the guy at the desk says he doesn’t know where the mechanic is so I left. Why would you allow somebody to schedule an appointment at 8am but not schedule a mechanic to start until 8:30, and have no idea where your mechanic is at 8:45?! Taking my money elsewhere from now on as they clearly don’t need it. Very disappointed.

2022-05-24Worse service ever!! Will never use. I called to confirm appt then was told that no one was working and that someone can get to my car after 3pm. My appt was at 12. Then they changed their minds and said to come in now. I get there and my tires weren’t in stock even though I made the appt with the tired pre-booked. Then they tried to up charge me for $900 tires! NEVER go there.

2022-03-22This place is a rip off!!! I was quoted a price, had my car towed there & suprise , suprise they didnt have the tires I was JUST quoted!! Then wanted to charge me an extra $200 to put the tires they did have on the car! Joe the manager told me it was company policy to do this. Unbelievable!!! I was warned not to.use this NTB, I shouldve listened. I had the car picked back up & they brought it to pep boys who actually honored their quote! Shady place!!!!

2022-04-08Dropped my truck off the day before for an 8am next day appointment for inspection. Called the next day at 3pm and truck still not inspected. Told that a car before me was still on the rack and needed more work. Asked to speak to manager twice but they couldnt find him. Will be taking my 3 cars elsewhere from now on.

2022-01-05My husband and I recently moved to Pittsburgh and went to NTB for our state inspection. The staff was super friendly, helpful and efficient. Dustin was great. He completed the inspections quickly and even assisted me with putting on my new plate. We will definitely come back for our other automotive needs.

2022-01-15Went to get my jeep inspected yesterday. Husband waited on it. Over an hour later, mechanic said everything passed but he wouldn’t sticker it because my tires stuck out passed fenders. Had to pay them, go home and put smaller tires on and get it back for sticker. I’m no mechanic but he didn’t know it wouldn’t pass before it was on the rack???? Any decent business would tell you this up front. NTB wanted the money. We only went there because my mechanic was booked. Will never go there again. Even the manager agreed when my husband brought it up to him. While there, other customers were complaining to management also. Rep behind counter said all he was “was a punching bag for all the complaining customers”. Definitely doing something wrong NTB South Park, PA

2022-01-31I had an emergency and needed a replacement tire ASAP. Went to one NTB who didnt have the size I needed, so they referred me to this location. Got here about 1/2 an hour before closing and they got me in immediately! Would give 6 stars or more if I could!
