Panera Bread in other cities:
Went here on New Years Eve and was still well staffed. Food was good and completed in a timely manner. Restaurant was clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly and got the order correct. Lots of parking and plenty of self service kiosks for you to order and not wait in a line.
Yes we were at Panera Bread in Hershey today we actually got the new chicken sandwiches they got spicy and the regular chicken they were the worst chicken sandwiches I ever had in my life they were not tasty they were dry they had little very little lettuce very little sausage in them they were just a terrible terrible sandwich Im sorry to say this some of your food is awesome that those new chicken sandwiches or trash
On a day where families matter most, this Panera Bread & staff went out of their way to take care of our families due to an emergency. We can’t thank them enough for what they did when we were in a time of need. Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas for those that celebrate). Thank you.
This location has really struggled during this pandemic...I applaud the manager who consistently provides top-notch service even when short-staffed which is often. Grateful he shows up to work..now if everyone else would just get back to work!! The Chai tea lattes and bagels rock!?
Complete cluster $&@&$. Have to order at a kiosk that doesn’t actually have the whole menu on it (no milk, no hot tea - employee confirmed)Employees weren’t great and totally disorganized. Outdoor seating only, which I get and is fine, but there are 8 tables with only a total of 10 chairs. Avoid til post Covid
I have been coming to this location for years. I have had the pleasure of many smiling faces as well as Kyle who has now been promoted to management. Over the course of the last several weeks the young lady who is now at the register should really be in the back where she does not have to deal with customers. Shes never friendly and I was rude. And she just may have cost you a customer of over 20 years. Customer services everything and if you cant talk to people with customer service respect then you shouldnt be working at a register or in the front of the store. Very sa
When I got to panera they stated the wait time was only 25 min which it I was okay with.. but then I noticed that it took so much longer than 25 minutes and the food line employees didnt seem to care at all . They were laughing and goofing around while their was another customer waiting for a salad a cup of soup for 40 plus minutes! The manager was no where to be seen and nor did he do his job and help speed things along ! I am very disappointed in the service.. when I was leaving I saw they were telling people it was a 45 min wait for food which is obscure and ridiculous!!!
I have giving this place four chances!!! Every single time my order is messed up and my sandwich has barely has anything on it. I got 2 free pick two coupons because I keep complaining. Its really ridiculous at this point, paying high prices for little to no food/wrong orders and in Hershey SMH!
It was just okay. I really wish they would bring the black bean soup back. I had it years ago and theyve never carried it since at ANY Panera Ive visited. So I end up getting whatever else is on the menu, but always leaves something to be desired. For the prices they charge, I wish their food taste better. The steak sandwiches we ordered were just ok, couldve used a bit more steak on there.. but overall their food is always bland, the bread is always hard and the coffee is not fresh r hot because they make it way ahead of time and let it sit in those thermos canisters. I dont think Ill be going back to any Panera again.
They locked doors 20 minutes before closing time because employees seemed annoyed that guests coming after park closed. Half my family got in at 8:10 and we had to phone order to them because not allowed in. While outside, we watched at least a dozen disappointed families (BEFire closing time) locked out … Bad customer service.
Bread and pastries are freshly made every day. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rewards if you use a Panera card are very good as well.Due to the fact that most of the ingredients are fresh and the breads are baked every morning there is a possibility that something you may want is out of stock. If you manage to place an order before the item is stocked out the staff is very helpful and willing to accommodate your needs, whether its with another ingredient or an extra pastry. I have always left with a smile on my face!Any extra food made for the day is donated to local charities, where as any other place Ive been to will just throw it away. So by eating at Panera you can also take pride in knowing you are serving your community.Due to the location and the fact that there are many random events that will bring large influxes of people, some waiting times may be longer than others. The staff is always working very hard to make everything as fast as they possibly can and thats all that really matters.Everything on the menu is customizable to suit your needs as well. I would highly recommend this place, whether you are looking to bring your family, get delivery, or place a rapid pickup to grab on your way to work.
Not sure what is going on with this location. I love Panera Bread and havent any issues at other locations. But the Hummelstown location recently made its third strike. Last order, one item was missing and other orders werent correct. The most recent incident a coworker volunteered to order online and pick up the food. Recieved a confirmation so left work to pickup and waited in parking lot for over an hour. Then was advised that orders over $70 dont come though or something to that effect. The manager resolved the issue by adding 4 cookies...... Thanks. After coworker returned back to work late, we discovered that one order was incorrect and one smoothie was missing. Stay away for large lunch orders if you want to return to work on time and receive the correct food. Apparently they do not have the capacity for this.
Everyone chill out. Restaurant/counter service is sub-par almost everywhere right now. Businesses cannot keep employees. They just quit on a whim. Forget trying to hire anyone. So....be patient...be kind...and perhaps thank the employees for showing up. My review from three years ago still stands:Great, fresh food. Free from chemicals.
Love the food and soups and ability to customize at kiosks if you prefer and pay right there but still have a waiter bring food to your table, unique and nice. Only complaint is they take items off menu that we like and now it makes it hard to go there without having items we really preferred.
As of posting on other reviews of Panera, Im not a fan of the chain. Yet somehow my family keeps finding Waze to get me into their locations. This time was in Hershey Pennsylvania. This store was cleaned, I will give it that. The ordering process was easy enough. For disclosure, I did not eat any of the food I got at Panera since I dont like i personally dont like it. The food took too long to come out. Other than that it was just an average fast food experience
Ordered online for catering. The assistant manager calls THE DAY OF EVENT at THE DELIVERY time to report that the address was outside of their delivery zone - claimed 45 mins, even though google map and yelp said it was a 32 min drive. When I called back, the assistant manager apologized and said she would figure out a way to get the food to our event and left it at that. The supposed manager of the establishment then calls, first of all, begins saying how it was not their fault at all that they called AT THE DELIVERY TIME, proceeded to say that they REFUSE to deliver the food and that it would be available for it to be picked up. SEVERAL times raised her voice and THREATENED to hang up the phone if we did not agree to her terms. Finally said she would call the Camp Hill location and have it delivered there, at least get the items half way, to which that was already 30 mins late for our event. Adamantly REFUSED to apply a refund or offer anything due to the inconvenience. Went over to the Camp Hill site to which the staff had NO idea we were coming or of any order that was supposed to be coming their way. Ended up asking the manager of the Camp Hill location to provide whatever foods or desserts they could spare for our event. Called this location again to inquire why they had failed to provide the Camp Hill with the food or any communication about our missing order to which we received more rude, incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful hateful commentary along the lines of this was no longer their problem.... please please beware of catering from this location, not only will you NOT get your food, but you will be met with incredibly rude and uprofessional staff that will honestly ruin any event!
I had ordered online and placed for rapid pickup. I arrived 5 minutes after the time it should have been ready and had to wait a total of 40 minutes before actually receiving the order. I had asked about it multiple times to 2 different workers. Both barely paid me any mind until finally a young woman came out and copied down the confirmation number onto a napkin and returned to the kitchen. The food was ready 10 minutes later and I did not receive all that I had ordered. I did not tell anyone about the missing items as I just wanted to get out of that place. Now, the experience was not great however the food was very good. I may give them a second chance in the future to redeem themselves
Normally I have no issues with Panera food or service. The store was particularly busy today but waiting 40 min for soup and salad seems pretty crazy. When I did receive my salad, it was not made as I ordered - it had chicken on it and Im a vegetarian. I asked them to put the remade salad in a to-go container because we had already waited so long - when I took my first bite I ended up eating a small piece of chicken! Found 3 more pieces of chicken in the salad. Not happy.
I always have been a fan of Panara Bread. They are consistent from location to location, which is nice. Prices are reasonable and the new iced teas are delightful. Service was a bit slow today, and it took an extra 10 minutes to get my fruit cup after my sandwich was done, but it happens.
While at Hershey medical we ordered from Panera. 3 meals... They delivered the order and it was missing so many things.. We called and they acted like its was nothing and said theyll have the missing items delivered is 5 to 10 mins. They substituted things without asking or crediting and it was all made poorly. The poor attitude from the person on the phone just topped it off. No apology then poor service.. So if youre at the hospital just avoid them.. A total was of money.. Sad. Good luck.
Went on a Friday night : one person taking orders, after we waited a very long time for our order for 3 meals and after I investigated why it was taking so long, the woman taking orders was informing people as they were coming in the door the wait time was at least 1/2 hour. I do not know where the manager was or how many staff they had working in the kitchen. Our order came up : childs grilled cheese was hard and cold, soups were all barely warm, sandwich was made incorrectly and presentation was slapped together. People were cancelling their orders because they couldnt wait any longer. I have been to many Panera Bread locations and I will NEVER go here again.
As aways the food is great .but the girl who took my order did this huge yawn like I was to much trouble. It was a little annoying..then I had a free bagel and there was only one kind to pick from. I asked about the ones to my right and she informed me they were only for to go orders ..that was very annoying. Why is it the to go orders have a variety but eating in you do not. I feel this needs to change..
Love this Panera bread. The people are great especially the delivery people, however, I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the manager as he delivered my food to my job and he didnt have the best attitude. He acted like I was wasting his time. The workers have a better attitude and thats the only reason Ive kept using them as my preferred Panera otherwise Id be done. Took off a star for poor leadership. Great customer service goes a long way!
No line and waited 20 minutes to get a simple egg sandwich to go. Made me late for work. This has happened multiple times. And when ordering online order it is never ready on time nor correct. Will not be returning to this Panera anymore even though it’s in my neighborhood. They need more employees or a new manager.
A warm and welcoming staff with smiles for everyone and suggestions for those of us who cannot always choose what we want to eat. We have never felt that the staff was waiting for us to leave when we wanted to continue our conversations past our meals. Thank you for your hospitality.
Great food and service as always. The front of the house was a terrible mess. Trash on floor, not just in one area but everywhere, around both drink stations around the setting area around the trash bin area. The mens room was in need of attention. No paper towels or napkins in any of the dispensers. Setting area needs attention. Arrived at 8 PM. Plenty of time after the dinner period to recover, seeing that the last order for the night is at 10 PM. Just saying...
Our family spends a lot of time in Hershey Medical Center. We were gifted a gift card to Panera for a good meal. Unfortunately, it didnt turn out that way. I called to order and was told they couldnt take orders over the phone due to a system being down. So, I did an online order for 3 meals with dessert for everyone. The order arrived and was missing one full meal and all of the desserts. I called to ask about it and the response was Ohhh, yea, um itll be there in 5 to 10 minutes. We also dont have the cookies you wanted so what do you want instead? I told him what would suffice and he said oh, well we probably dont have that either. At this point, I was just irritated and told him to just refund it and he said ok, yea, Ill just bring you chocolate chip cookies. Fast forward and the missing food arrives for us to find out he really just gave us whatever he felt like giving us. Instead of the 6 cookies I ordered, there were 3. The delivery person said we were out of flatbread, too. So its on some other kind of bread The bread was an overcooked tortilla wrap that was so crunchy and dry it was inedible. Moral of the story...save your money and eat somewhere else until they can learn common courtesy and apologize for their mistakes instead of making them seem like an inconvenience for them.
If youre coming here to work, beware lots of kids! This location must get a lot of tourists that are in town for Hersheypark. Very noisy. The booths could be cleaned better. Lots of splatter on walls. Also last booth next to drink station had tons of gnats just sitting on it and on wall. Souffle was burnt. Also fruit cup was not ready right away, had to take buzzer. Which I thought was odd for such a simple item. Not returning to this location. The one on Union Deposit, never disappoints.
I ordered the chicken tortellini alfredo which was tasty. Pasta could have been boiled for a other minute or so since some pieces were not as tender. Did have a major issue trying to connect my laptop to the internet, which was a very odd thing. So I was not able to work while there. :(
Only go here if you want to wait an hour in line because they only have one person taking orders which is usually the manager. They never pick up their phones if you call in. Don’t offer apologies. And ALWAYS out of avocados. Just avoid this Panera location. Oh and you can always hear the employees arguing. Professional.
Closed 3hrs early with NO notice! I had driven all the way from Hershey Medical Center, not too awfully far but still a decent drive when your loved one is there. They closed early supposedly for training yet all I saw was a bunch of kids just hanging around and goofing off on their phones. The manager was very rude when I called and asked what was up, and found out why they were closed from to kind ladies just exiting the place. This all took place right about 7oclock too. They children running the place apparently dont know how to run a proper business.
We ordered two breads, paid for them with a credit card the night before we needed them. We went to Panera Bread to pick up our bread at 0930 the next morning, and they had no bread made! Our order was never filled, the bag had a receipt attached with NO BREAD in the bag!!!! We were told “sorry”, we will credit your card???? They had no bread at 0930 on a Saturday? This is not the first time something like this happen to us. I’m not sure, but if the word BREAD is in the name of your store, you might want to consider having bread. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE, we will drive further to get better service. Union Deposit Rd., Panera always has what we need, like today both the breads we wanted, they had. A few miles out of our way, I don’t care anymore.
Our family loves Panera, but had a terrible experience at this location. Please do not go to this Panera if you are a person of color (ethnic or religious minority). Manager was outrageously hostile, prejudiced, and dismissive when we requested a hot chocolate be served without marshmallows. Would give a zero if I could
First time Ive ordered ice coffee since last fall. Very disappointed that it is not available in the dining area for self serve. Now you get a FULL cup of ice topped off with just black coffee. You have to dump out some to have room to add milk and sweetner. Or get a second empty cup. Staff looked at me like I was stealing beverages....
What has happened to this place. Used to have nice sammies. Just so,so. Soup was luke warm, bordering on cold. My sandwich had one thin slice of chicken with a thin slice of cheese with a drizzle of BQ, three leaves of spinach, the flatbread was thicker than the makings. Left me a little flat.
Came in at 4 pm, place is mostly empty, plenty of employees chatting behind the line, but pretty much all of the tables were dirty. Some even had peoples dirty plates and trash that have been sitting for who knows how long. We had to clean our own table to sit. Everything still dirty when we left.
Used the kiosk to place my order. I had to wait 23 minutes to get my tuna sandwich and when I asked for the status of my order the manager couldnt find find my name. Lastly, it was 68°F outside and felt like 30° inside the building so I was freezing while waiting. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Panera and would recommend going somewhere else.
The past several times I’ve been here they’ve been out of nearly everything on the menu. Items such as bread and soup are often all out. They put the kiosk right by the door so you order your meal first just to find out that there are no open tables then you have to track someone down and ask them to change the order to go. The place is always a mess and the amount that you pay doesn’t even make sense for the portions you get.
Disappointed in Panera, the Hershey-Hummelstown cafe has always delivered to our business, we have ordered from them at least 4 times a year with big orders. Now the day before they have decided that they can not cater /deliver to us. Which leaves us scrambling to find someplace else in short notice.
The people were extremely friendly, service was quick, the place was spotless, the food was fresh and healthy, but, Im an old Dutchman, because it was so healthy it lacked flavor, give me good ole artery cloggin, cholesterol inducin, blood pressure raisin fats, spices, glutens, sugars and red meat, other than that it was great..🤗😈😋🤡😱😎👍💓🙂🤔

2022-04-14This Panera is great. Amanda was super helpful and professional.I had a coffee and a bagel. The app was easy to use, and I can easily select to have my Bagel 🥯 sliced and toasted.Coming back soon.

2022-05-16This is a bacon egg and cheese bagel. 1st this is one of the best bagels I have ever eaten in my life. 2nd top 5 in my book but I ruined it by asking for bacon egg and cheese on it. The sandwich is missing something. I will come for bagels any day.

2021-12-06The food was 4.5 star worthy. Fairly quick, correct, and tasted good. The restroom however was one of the grossest restrooms I have stepped into in a very long time. I dont mean its been a rough shift, Im talking like that urinal hasnt been cleaned in over a week.

2022-02-19Absolutely superb. I love this location and how clean it is. The staff are extremely friendly. The food, as ever, is unbelievably scrumptious and fresh. I’ve never gotten anything that was stale or bad. Don’t miss stopping in here for a good meal when you’re in the area. You can also use their app to order ahead and pick up, or do curbside pick up.

2022-06-16This location is consistently underwhelming. Almost every to go or curbside order is wrong. The amount of times we have added or removed an item through their online platform, and it still be there or missing, is too high to count. The estimated times are also horribly wrong. We have waited well over 30 minutes from when they text stating the order is ready. Now, for dining in... came in with my family today per my childs request. The woman ringing us out seemed unsure of the options available for the kids meals (there are 4 listed on the board, but significantly more online). Okay, thats fine. Maybe shes new, not a problem. Then I got my order, opted for the apple as my side dish. The bottom was completely molded and nobody noticed. So not only did they give me a moldy apple, but I imagine it was sitting on top of another apple that 100% didnt get wiped down bc nobody noticed. Please Hummelstown location, please just pay more attention.

2022-04-26The associate at the register, Anne Marie was absolutely wonderful and friendly and made our day with her bubbly personality. Just what we needed right now. Food was yummy as always!

2022-05-17You order at a counter and they give you a vibrator to let you know when your food is ready. You then leave your table to pick up your food and they have the audacity to place a tip jar on the counter. Like Im going to tip someone that has me doing all the work that they should be doing. I wont be going to a Panera Bread in the future. Terrible experience.

2022-05-15Not much to say. Typical Panera bread. Plenty of selection and no real complaints about what I ordered. Seemed fresh and the staff was pleasant as I have come to expect with other Panera bread visits elsewhere.

2022-04-12Ordered at the Kiosk for quick and easy service. I absolutely love the Chicken Poppyseed salad! So tasty and filling, and still so healthy!

2022-07-08The food was ready when I got there. I just had to pick it up and go. Great service. Highly recommend
