My experience with Dr.Alharir was excellent. I hadn’t been to dentist for many years and was very nervous, especially because I knew I would need my wisdom teeth pulled out. He made the experience quick, (almost) painless-the novocaine shots are going to pinch no matter what, and managed to alleviate my fears. He was very considerate to my difficult schedule and was able to pencil me in for the extraction before I moved across the country. Would recommend to everyone in the South Philly area!
I have had many dentists in my young life, but Dr. Michael is the best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I required a lot of dental work done. My mouth was a mess. Slowly but surely, he came up with a game plan to remove most of them, which were rotted, & getting me partial dentures. They looked beautiful compared to my natural teeth & much better than leaving a young 24 year old woman with so many missing teeth. I had these until he made my final pair which were so beautiful & fit so much better. I dont even need glue to keep them in! A couple little adjustments & I can eat anything now! For the first time in my life, I dont have to worry if I can eat anything & if it would break any teeth. I also have the confidence to smile and laugh very big without trying to hide or cover my mouth! I even feel healthier now.Dr. Michael and his staff are very professional but personable & friendly. They all were very informative & humble people. I would recommend anyone to go there because they make a game plan to meet your individual goals & do whats best for you & your dental health. I was truly impressed with Docs efficiency in the procedures he has performed for me and for the overall administration at Passyunk Dental Group. My experience was Virtually PAINLESS, which was such a relief being thay Im a big baby when it comes to needles in my mouth. I was also thrilled with the short wait in the waiting room before being called back to the room. I would definitely recommend Dr. Alhair and his staff to any and all of my family and friends. Theyre good!
Dr. Michael Alharir is the best dentist in town! Ive been his patient for over a year and he fixed all my teeth. I love my smile and take better care of my teeth now because of Dr. Alharir. Highly recommend Passyunk Dental. Youre not gonna be disappointed

This place is very disorganized...they kept telling me I didnt meet my deductible and that they are waiting for almost a week for Aetna to respond back to them..so when I got Aetna rep on the line to confirm I met my deductible...the doctor had a whole attitude..Beware they are overcharging, the male doctor comes in randomly to increase the price. They dont give you a receipt for the work done with the price list...they are very unprofessional. The staff and doctors talk about each other infront of client..the receptionist is rude and if you need clarification on the amount charged..we have to wait for the doctor to finish what they are doing...Please make sure you know your benefits before you go there...and question every pricing...they are a rip off...will never return back.First of all I dont know who you are referring to...If the insurance didnt approve why did you continue to do the work...you saw the person had insurance and wanted extra money...its strange you didnt have a conversation when the person was right infront of you, but you have a lot to say on here...however you are still unprofessional and there was nothing given to me except for a sticky with handwritten amounts...the doctor said they have a print out in the back but never handed it to me...thats not professional at all.
Everyone is super nice and welcoming! Dr. Is very nice and right away made me feel at ease. I dread going to the dentist but coming here was the right choice. He even gave me a dental goody bag with a brush and some floss haha. If you are in need of a dentist south philly, I highly recommend here.
The best experience Ive ever had going to the dentist. Extremely professional and friendly staff. I was in a hurry but Dr. Michael never missed a step. I would highly recommend this dentist.
I only met Dr. Michael a few weeks ago and I am already convinced he is one of the best Dentists in Philadelphia. Its a wonderful place, the office is very clean and the staff takes amazing care of their patients. Going to the Dentist used to be one of my least favorite activities until I gave Passyunk Dental Group a chance. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Alharir.
Dr. Alharir is amazing! I was so nervous about getting my wisdom tooth extracted and he was quick. I literally didnt feel a thing, not even the needle lol.Recovery has been good as well. The staff is very friendly and genuine. I recommend this dental office :)
Most of the reviews I see are from women, Where of course I find nothing wrong with that and even a one guy, and the ladies, said ‘Dr Michael’ and his staff are professional and nice. Although one review about the dentures/lab work seemed like ‘Dr Michael’ came up short. Good bones and teeth (yes teeth are bones) are a blessing in anyone’s life and in any health related instance we tend to expect a lot from our physicians. But a standard of reaching towards the bar out of reach, should be expected in any profession.To my point. A friend shared they had work done and they were not given a prescription or offered temporary pain medication after a tooth was removed. Now I mentioned bone and teeth because some, if not most, have had dental work or broken a bone and we know pain is one reason why most do not like going to the dentist.I would share as well, when I’m in my doctors office I see pharmaceutical sales people given access I wish I had, but they are delivering medications they hope the doctors will prescribe and leave samples. I know this because my doctor affords this temporary kindness to me, with a prescription if needed.So I’m confused, and not looking for perfection, why my friend left in pain and spent days afterwards in pain.Thank you!
One of thee best dentist I’ve been to. I’m seen right away or wait no longer than 5 min. Dr. Alharir and staff are super friendly and very informative. I call the office for any questions and he is more than glad to answer. Dr. Alharir it is super gentle and painless. I am terrified of the dentist but not any more. I definitely recommend this place. Exceeded my expectations!

2021-11-04This is the shadiest dentist I have ever had an experience with. Every visit he tries to suggest that the work needed will not be covered by my insurance. It’s clearly an attempt to see if I, the patient (as well as others I’ve heard) is willing or able to pay in cash. Seems like a nice guy at first but he’s a con artist through and through

2021-09-03This dental office is terrific! I have a bit of anxiety about going to the dentist and had no problems here. The receptionist, dental hygienist Lisa & Dr. Alharir are all friendly, efficient and competent. They communicated costs up front clearly, took time to answer my questions and pot me at ease, and continually updated me on what they were doing in my mouth. I’ve been to their newer South Street office to get a cleaning and filling replacement and everything went smoothly. I’ve convinced my husband, who is also anxious about dental work, to switch to Dr. Alharir and his team.

2020-12-01I highly recommend Dr Lena Mercho and this clinic. I’ve been to 3 other dentists since I moved here and finally found someone who is skilled and cares. She saved a tooth others didn’t want to bother with and my insurance backed her assessment all the way. Thank you so much Dr Lena and staff for taking such good care of me.

2021-10-15The lady that works in the front shouldn’t be working in customer service. And her mask was on her chin during COVID. One of the dental assistants was walking around with her mask completely off. When it was time for her to do my X-ray I was so nervous about pulling my mask down. Because I’m waiting for her to pull hers up. She finally covers just her mouth with her nose exposed!! This gave me so much anxiety. I can’t believe the sign says to wear a mask but the employees can do whatever. I will never go back to this place. And I regret going even though I had tooth pain. There is no way to tell if the employees are vaccinated. Or if there walking around with COVID or not. I hope and pray that I didn’t get infected today or anyone else that came into there office. Stay away from this place for your own safety! No respect for your overall safety.

2021-10-08Dr. Lena was friendly and professional. However, the cancellation policy is the strictest of any office I have ever visited—35$ to reschedule, (for the first time!) even though I texted the office staff that I couldn’t make it. This would seem to encourage folks with a covid exposure from work, as in my case, to show up anyway or forfeit 35$. Unacceptable and unsafe policy. I hope the office can make this right.

2017-09-18I was an patient with the previous ownership until Dr.Michael took over the practice and became my new Dentist. I have to admit that at first I was unsure of the change but Dr. Michael put my fears to rest after my first appt. with him he was very nice and friendly and confirmed in me that he always had the patient best interest in heart and I believed him. The work was better than I excepted it to be i recommend that if you are in the area and needs a new dentist then stop by and give Dr. Michael a chance Im glad that I did.
