Patient First Primary and Urgent Care - Montgomeryville in other cities:
Patients First in Montgomeryville is a very well kept establishment. I felt it’s very top-notch care from the time I signed in until I finished with the physician. The staff is very kind and listen to your concerns for the reason they brought you to Patients First. I have told others to go there to also get treated.
I accompanied my spouse to this place when he hurt himself and was not able to drive and I went in and they kick me out but a family of four walked in and they didn’t kick anyone of them out cause of “Covid” come on. I’m sick of this and I will never come back here again. I’m so mad. The people were rude. If you want to pay for my gas that would be great. But can’t let someone in an air conditioned building But make them sit in their car and I was in the car for over an hour and my spouse still wasn’t seen by a doctor.
The service was friendly and efficient. The MA was friendly and didnt waste time getting the tests started while I waited for Jessica Huber, PA. She finalized the diagnosis, ordered the prescriptions from the in-house pharmacy. Thank you for being there for an out of towner.
I was physically and emotionally drained by the time I got to their facility from pain. I was holding back a panic attack. I know it can be a lot to handle as a provider and Dr.Jessie and his nurse were nothing but supportive and understanding. As someone with extreme medical anxiety and lack of trust in a lot of medical professionals, the team that cared for me really made a world of difference in a really stressful time for.
This is not a free COVID testing site. A Googles search sent me to Patient First and it got me a brutal five-hour waiting. 8am, I was in-line outside in the cold weather; 9am, signed up and waited three hours inside my car. 1:30pm, left after taking a COVID test, which was billed to my insurance. They were extremely busy at the end of the year. I gave them one star because they did not communicate to patients an estimate of a waiting time.
Just referring you to a friend & saying YOU are the new best thing in my life. Even prior to Covid, Id found it impossible to get an appointment w/any PCP or specialist when in crisis. Scheduling is generally 2 months out which doesnt do anyone any good, especially in a critical care situation. In November, I was treated & referred to ER by Patient First (I knew I had another kidney stone, but doctor said my BP was through the roof, therefore, referral.) Due to Covid, that ER wait - just to get in for nurse evaluation/intake - was 5 hours (in a packed waiting room of sick people) - then another 5 hours for doctor to come for initial exam, total of 12 hours to get an admission/bed - in agony with little/no care during that time, I asked for scripts, signed a release to leave against doctors orders & left to at least be comfortable in my misery at home while I self-treated & finally recuperated.I was also surprised (& very impressed!) that Patient First actually sent an apology for long wait time letter. My most recent visit (post Covid crisis) was SO much faster & treatment/care etc excellent! So Im a huge fan & will continue to refer as well as post to social media.
It was a busy Monday night but the staff was excellent! Cheerful and kind from the person registering patients to the nurses and doctor! I got the medicine I needed right there -a big plus since my regular pharmacy has cut hours.and I wouldn’t have gotten it till the next day. This was my second experience there and I highly recommend it.
Puzzling behavior from your receptionist today who when I came in for a cough (surprisingly I was seen and not segregated) I suggested that I did not know the cause of the cough and would be paying with my own insurance. The woman then asked me what I did for a living and whether I left work to be there. I explained that yes, I had left work to be there but that it was not a work-related illness and that I was paying with my own insurance.Again, she asked me if it was a work-related injury. I replied that it wasnt an injury, it was a cough. She said, A cough is a type of injury. I told her no, that its an illness, and asked her where she went to nursing school. She continued to pressure me to call it a workplace injury, she must have repeated herself 5 times. I got the impression that this place gets paid more money from workers comp insurance than most normal insurance. She kept repeating herself, saying that once I declare that it is a workplace injury there is no going back. I NEVER said that it was a workplace injury and made my intention to use my own insurance very clear.I wonder if this woman had some sort of psychological problem that causes her to be unable to understand a basic concept like wanting to pay with my own insurance. However, I am leaning toward this place running a scam. Id like to see disciplinary action taken against this woman immediately. Things have gone way downhill here, even compared to a few years ago when it was already bad.
Due to the Omicron variant it was very crowded however the staff was very polite and relaxed I would recommend waiting in your car versus in the waiting room it’s cold in the waiting room and people constantly going in and out also in the car The let you know where you are in line. Other than the wait superb treatment
My husbands sat for hours and was never registered or helped. They adopted a new systems but after HOURS of waiting still no help. He was so ill I needed to bring him home still untreated and incredibly ill. Your “new” system doesn’t work. Very disappointed and scared for my husband.
Worst experience. The wait time was more than 2 hours, the Dr didnt know what he was doing. Not at all satisfied. I went with a severe back pain and they made me sit for 4 hours which agrivated the whole pain. No one even come to ask how was I doing 😡 The so called doctor didnt know what questions to ask and no specific instructions on what to do next. I had to call them back to ask whats the frequency of the medication, which medicine to take etc. Worst. Never go there.
Do not ever go here. they take FOREVER to bring people back. they have only 2 “doctors” back there who do absolutely nothing. they sit at the desks, laugh and talk and then an hour later they come and see you. I’m sorry but if i don’t feel well ESPECIALLY WITH A 103 FEVER i EXPECT to be seen IMMEDIATELY! They don’t care about their patients. i called to see how long of a wait to see the doctor and all the lady on the phone had to say was “a long time”… i hung up IMMEDIATELY! Not to mention she picked up the phone with a lot attitude. Hire more people or shut down because this place is not worth it. horrible staff, horrible environment, disgustingly horrible. Go to the Urgent Care on in lansdale near royal farms, no wait, in and out so fast. they ACTUALLY care.
I was able to stay calm despite having a severed finger and felt like I wouldve been taken more seriously if I was histerical. Id bandaged it up and applied pressure on the wound so that it stopped bleeding too much. The admin person asked me if I was bleeding and I said yes, and that its not bleeding now because I am pressing down on it. I was very disheartened when she asked me to wait for my turn, which could be an hour. I had to cancel my appointment and go the ER instead. I have no problem waiting normally, I appreciate how kind everyone is here. But this was very urgent, I had an open wound and was dizzy from loss of blood. So we drove to the ER, and as soon as the doctor took off the bandages, there was a lot of bleeding and my hand was in a pool of blood. I guess if you think your needs are urgent, and youre not screaming in pain hysterically, best to go the ER directly anyway.
The blonde older woman running reception today (November 12) at 2pm was incredibly rude to me and to others. Why does Patient First employ people who behave this way?I went to sign in and she bit my head off and insisted that I use hand sanitizer before touching the screen from behind a plastic window. Then there was the gentleman ahead of me who when called in was chastized SIMPLY FOR PULLING HIS CHAIR IN. Did YOU pull that chair in when you sat down?I wasnt about to stick around for her next verbal assault so I left without being seen despite needing to be seen for workers comp. Not worth it. I guess I am not entitled to have medical care in my own country.
From my 8:16 arrival and 1:40 departure i wasnt able to get much accomplished in my day. I managed to get a COVID test but absolutely nothing else! The process of COVID testing in the back and someone managing other ailments was seamless, please return to the previous method. Waiting for patients that have asth m a attacks as well as Waiting to see a PA when I need COVID, flu, or strep results is asinine in my opinion. Counterproductive in better words.
I have never been treated with so much kindness at a doctors office before! Everyone was so incredibly nice! From the check in, to the nurses and the doctors, GREAT staff! They made me feel so comfortable! The whole building is so clean too! I will absolutely be going to this location again! It’s so hard to find a good clean place to go for healthcare where the staff is friendly so THANK YOU!
The speed and professionalism at this location are very good indeed! Even when there is a wait (as there was this time) it still moves efficiently. I have used this location before, and always use it for my DOT/CDL exams, and would recommend it to anyone. As always, day, and time of day, usually determine wait times.
All the visits have been the same! Excellent Service and that caring attitude that you dont always find at other places! When you are injured or sick, you dont want to deal with hassles or rude people. Coming here is like being taken care of by Mom!!! The after care is as Great as the care they provide when they see you. Thank You for what you do everyday!!!
I had a very good experience at Patient First on both my visits. The young admin person was warm and helpful. Both physicians who saw me were very helpful . I felt well treated by Patient First and have been recommending you to others as well. Excellent Service. Good Covid Protocols were followed as well.
My son and I came in at 3:15pm for flu shots. Right after we signed in we were taken into the office to register. About 10 min later we were taken back by the nurse/NP. The process was fast and the staff was nice. I love this location because it’s so easy to be taken care of. Most importantly, the office is large enough to keep social distance and very clean.A person came in with bandana face covering and the staff was quick to provide him with a proper face mask and explain the policy. I really appreciated that.
My first time going there. So bad nurse and doctor. The nurse couldn’t find my veins and the doctor was confused!! The doctor give me wrong medicine and he make the qualification of the disease on wrong way. I feel so bad why has to work this kind of doctors!!! He was to poison my body 😡😡😡😡 I am gone claim his name …
Patient First in Montgomeriville is a wonderful clinic, it is staffed with very professional, competent and compassionate people who care deeply about their patients. I have been using this clinic for years (also have brought my son there as well), and I simply cant say enough how grateful I feel towards EVERYONE who worked with me there. Every time, without fail and without a long wait, I was given the top-notch medical help, all the necessary tests were performed right away, and I was even given medications from their on-sight pharmacy. I highly recommend this medical facility to anyone.
This urgent care doesnt care about the wellbeing of their patients, only taking their money and time. I came here two years in a row with the same issue, tonsilitis, which I get frequently in the winter time. The first time I was quickly examined, given a strep and flu test, and when they came back negative I was sent home with no advice or further consultation. As the condition got worse I came back a few days later and saw a different doctor who commented that she couldnt believe the previous doctor sent me home with how bad it was, and she then prescribed me Penicillin for the infection. The following year I came in for the same issue and the same protocol was given to me, with the addition of a covid test. The doctor came in, told me all the tests were negative, and sent me home in pain with no advice on how to handle it or treat it, along with any confirmation that it was a tonsilitis infection, later to be confirmed myself when the condition worsened. Its extremely disappointing that these doctors dont seem trained to deal with a multitude of conditions, and will send patients home in pain not feeling confident that theyve been treated, only with their pockets feeling lighter. I understand the need to see patients quickly, but their name is Patient First, and they seem to do everything but put their patients first. If you have other options, please consider going to a different urgent care facility other than Patient First. It will save you time, money, and wont leave you feeling unsure of your condition.
I really didnt appreciate being made to discuss personal medical business with an open door in the reception area. I had a chronic cough, which should have prevented me from being seen but it didnt (COVID) and it had been ongoing for a month. Then the woman says, Have you engaged in any risky se*ual behavior and I said that I would rather not discuss it because its personal. Mind you, this was a receptionist, not a real nurse or doctor in the exam area. Why does she need to know these things and why does that conversation need to be public. I couldnt believe it.
Everyone is very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. You get in fast and out fast. They have pharmacy on site for common drugs so before you leave you get your prescription! No waiting an hour at the pharmacy! They are open early in the morning and late at night to include weekends! What doctors office does that? They are my primary care physician! Why would I go back to sitting in a traditional doctors office for an hour or more, have to wait several days to get an appointment, not get helped at night or weekends, and best of all those nasty desk people and billing specialists! Stand in a pharmacy for another hour!
My experience with Patient First in Montgomeryville has always been very positive. The staff is extremely professional and pleasant. The wait time has been very short and the facility is clean. I have been to Patient First a few times and my visits have all been positive. I would highly recommend Patient First in Montgomeryville to my family and friends.
This is NOT a Covid testing site, where you can get a FREE test!! They make you see a Doctor, charge your insurance and THEN they decide if you need a test!!! I made the mistake of googling “where can I get a Covid test near me”. Patient First comes up on the list. BUT after waiting 2 hours they informed me of their money making SCAM! They are clearly taking advantage of the COVID pandemic and deceiving the public!!
This was a very unique experience. This was my first interaction with a patient first clinic. I would highly recommend anyone to your facility. I was referred to patient first by one of my friends. Word of mouth goes a long way. I cannot say enough good things about the caring staff at Patient First. I know that they take care of their patients, I experienced it first hand. I rate Patient First with 5 stars. Thank you for taking care of me.
The medical assistant I had was so rude making comments that the doctor would not be able to help me that it was just a waste of my time there, she also made a comment about me having a cloth mask ( it was thicker than the surgical mask ) I came in because I have Covid and had a horrible head ache with a cough that was getting worse. This was also the same MA that took me and my 6 yo son back when he had pink eye and she kept stomping her feet whiling giving my son a eye exam and said she was going to just tell the doctor he failed the eye exam , maybe if she had more patience with a 6 year old he would have passed without any issues, and she has such a NASTY attitude while in the exam room with my son and my self
Everyone on staff was immensely enthusiastic and helpful when I came in for a walk-in appointment. They were sweet and cheerful. I appreciate the amount of care and interest that they have for my well being and my fathers well being. Every time I go to this Patient First office, I am always met with the friendliest staff.
My husband had an infection in his back and our PCP did not have any open appointments. Theresa checked us in with efficiency and humor. The nurse was very nice, as was Dr. Sully who took care of us. We left with our antibiotics, which saved a trip to the pharmacy and allowed him to take them sooner. We have been here several times and the experience is always good. And, it sure beats going to an ER!
Okay so we get there sign in at the kiosk and i think i get added to the wait list i have to get a covid test and then because i was exposed i have to wait in the car and on the kiosk it said that someone would give me a call 40 minutes go by and i am still waiting so i decide to go in and it turns out i wasn’t out on the wait list so then this nice gentleman got me signed in and then i wait 20 minutes not bad because it was busy. i get call back to get my covid test the lady swabs my nose and then says wait here it should only take 30 minutes and hour and a half goes by and the lady is still not here. then finally and hour and a half later i finally get my results. i’m negative thank goodness but 4 hours of my life i’ll never get back i also left out some details so if the time is not adding up that is why.
Over 2 hours sitting here came in hoping to get a rapid antigen COVID test done for my 8yo. Waited for an hour before taking the swab, and now another hour since the swab was taken. Tired kid poor service… not happy. Do yourself a favor go to a CVS or Rite aid don’t bother coming here
I waited for a doctor to come into my room for over 40 minutes and when a doctor did come in he looked up my nose, told me what I already knew and sent me on my way. 40minute wait for 2 minutes with a doctor and that was 200 dollars out of my pocket WITH health insurance. Never going back to patient first. Patient first is a rip off and yall over charge everyone who goes there. I hope yall close.
I visited today just around 2:30 pm, a little apprehensive thinking of the unknown wait times and some very bad reviews, but my visit was unexpectedly pleasant if not awesome!I may have been in the waiting room 10 minutes at best, the gentleman that registered me was kind and very professional. No more than 5 minutes later, my name was called. The intake nurse who weighed me and took my Information was very professional as well. The Physicians Assistant, Brendan Hudson, entered the room and I thought here we go, some young guy preaching that I shouldnt have smoked all those years and this is what you get (I was there for bronchitis and sinus infection). To the contrary, he said he had smoked and stopped cold turkey because he loves surfing. He was a breath of fresh air, so to speak; no judgment. His bed side manner was incredible, so much that Im considering having him be my new family doctor.I explained what my family doctor normally prescribes, and he wrote them up plus gave me a breathing treatment. I felt better when I walked out.I just want to say we need more non judgmental health care professionals like Brendan and I never write reviews!!THANK YOU BRENDAN, feeling so much better already!
I Love coming here! The staff is always professional and friendly. The overall wait is comparable to any other doctors office and I dont need to make an appointment! I would and have recommended Montgomeryville Patient First to friends and co-workers. Thank you for making treatment and being sick easier!
Every time I come here, everyone is very kind to me and respectful. The staff here are knowledgable and also incredibly personable. I have really bad anxiety but everyone I have spoken to at Patient First has been very helpful and understanding. I am also an LGBTQ person, and I feel as though my identity is always treated with respect. I go into doctor’s offices not knowing how I’ll be treated in terms of my identity, but here I am treated well. I want to extend my gratitude to all of the hard working people who staff this Patient First during these stressful times.
I was very grateful that the doctor tried as hard as he did to come up with a solution for my injury that would help the healing process but also could work around my lack of insurance. I tried to suggest I could pay for what supplies I may need for the healing process, and wound up feeling a little confused at the end about what my best course of action would be. He did send me home with clear instructions but I was clear that he was treating my injury very differently from how he would normally, due to my lack of insurance. Overall Im very grateful for the doctors care.Everybody I encountered was very kind which eased the anxiety I have about seeing doctors without insurance (Ive had less kind experiences in the past).
As I expressed before, Patient First is a great place for excellent care. I have needed to go there several times since it opened. I have always found the staff polite, supportive, caring and timely in delivering the care I needed. Ive never had to wait long to be seen. I have always felt listened to and taken seriously regarding my needs. I had to visit this past Sunday for a fall which resulted in all my upper front teeth being broken and a large cut on my lower lip. The doctor didnt feel that she should do the lip suturing but instead that I should go to the local ER (in Lansdale) to receive more plastic surgery-style suturing. BIG MISTAKE! The young doctor there was the snottiest, most rude, condescending, demeaning excuse for a grown man I have encountered in years!! He took the thickest black suturematerial he could find and yanked the lip area together with 2 widely spaced stitches guaranteeing that I will end up with a scar. But, in his view, what did that matter since I am a 68 year old woman who had no need to look attractive anymore. I stand by Patient First and wish so much that I had been able to have the doctor there stitch my lip. She would absolutely have done a better job and been kinder to me during the process. Because from the ER, I left with physical and emotional scars!
From the moment I walked in I felt they were professional and kind! Receptionist was extremely welcoming, the nurse was very kind and pleasant. I felt the doctor was knowledgeable, caring and took the right amount of time with me. She had a nice bed side manner. I was able to get a prescription filled right there and the cashier was just adorable!! I was there less than an hour!! Care was great! Will go back for sure.
This was my second visit here in a year. The staff is great, friendly, and efficient. The facility is clean and bright. On my visit last October, the Doctor was kind, compassionate, and informative and I left there with the feeling that I was taken care of. However, today I felt as though this(different) Doctor was dismissive and unsympathetic. I definitely will not go back to her for a follow-up appointment. I would recommend this facility, if you cant get to your Primary Doctor. They have everything right there xray and pharmacy. Hopefully, you wont see the Doctor that I saw today. I am editing my review to now say, I will never go to this facility again. A staff member who spoke to my employer about an insurance matter, straight up lied about a request that I made. Very unprofessional. I feel sorry for the staff who do their jobs professionally with kindness and compassion.
Jan 2017- Great People!! The service is so much more patient oriented than the local ER and hospitals! I appreciate their system and getting you to see the actual doctor quickly! My son and I went on a holiday and were seen quickly. The check in MA was great and very friendly. The nurse who took our vitals was very nice as well despite the fact she was probably there in they opened. The Doctor that seen my son and I seem to me as rushing us out. Not sincere or too concerned about our issues. Our check out and meds were given to us quickly. Everything in one place. I have to say I was impressed!
Check in was quick and efficient. Decided to come to urgent care because I thought I had the flu and couldn’t trek down to my PCP. Tests were quick and easy and the doctor was nice and explained her diagnosis and treatment. Only second time I think I’ve been to this patient first and was just as exceptional as the first. Thanks!
This was my second visit within a week. First was for my daughter, then for myself. I’ve been extremely satisfied with the whole process from check-in to treatment. Even during peak flu season, the wait time was kept to a minimum. The facility is also well cared for and kept clean. Keep up the good work!
On the phone they told me to come in person for doctor’s note (that I can go to work again) that they can print out only. I came and they decided that they can not and I have to see the doctor again to get doctor’s note just because the doctor is not there who saw me earlier. This is not a rocket science, to look at hand and see the improvement. It was not a complicated issue. They just make you see doctor again in this pandemic to be exposed to more people for nothing! Disappointed! And plus the waiting time is very bad.
Very efficient process. Been here 2x and I like the place. Clean, very friendly staff. Staff makes you feel welcome and they are caring. So important when you come to a place to get treated quickly. And I was there late before closing and no one rushed to get me out. This was a positive experience. Keep up the patient focus as it is so needed. This is why I always choose patient first.
Dr. Osher and her staff could not have been more professional or friendly. Everyone, from the intake staff, to Nurse Connor, listened carefully to my medical issue, and kept me informed of the treatment plan. My insurance does not allow Patient First, to act as my primary source of care, otherwise I would definitely have chosen this location, and Dr. Osher as my primary physician.
This has been our go-to place for seasonal illness. Lately the wait time has gone up a lot. I mean quite a lot. You can hear the chit chat from the staff including doctors while you are at the waiting room. Better get a blanket, pillow and bed and sleep because you will be seen in 2 hours even if the place isnt crowded. Checking in the front desk is quick. The wait times here never used to be this bad.
I just moved to the area so I dont have a primary physician. I wound up getting a sinus infection and no place had openings for months, so I had to find an urgent care nearby. The intake was fast and painless. There was the typical wait of a walk-in clinic but thats to be expected. Nothing they can do about that. But once I was in it was quick. They even have a pharmacy on site! I checked in at 6:30 and was on my way home with medication by 7:30. Great experience all around.
I was surprised at how nice everyone was, how professional all the services were and how fast the labs and everything was processed. Having a pharmacy on site and the quickness from being seen to getting results and diagnosis were all very impressive! Ive never been to a Patient First before but if I have an issue, will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family!
I have been treated at Patient First many times and this was no different in their efficiency, thorough examinations and tests. In the past I have written about them because I am so very impressed by their warmth and encouragement. The staff who worked on me were all professional and human. One doesnt normally get both together. So thank you Patient First .It is a relief to know you are available. Dr. Yvonne Kaye.
This visit was wonderful! I was quick to be registered, quick to be taken back, and then was warned a head of time about the wait for the flu test. Everyone was super friendly and easy to talk too. The doctor was wonderful and super easy to talk too. Sad this place is an urgent care and not a doctors office! I will recommend to others!! Thanks so much!!
This was my first Patient First experience. I was visiting from out of state and found myself in need of a doctor when I came down with a terrible flu and sinus infection. Dr. Leon and the entire team were incredibly thorough and efficient with a nurturing bedside manner. You can tell the staff really care about the patients here, and that their primary goal is to make sure you are feeling well again, ASAP. I was able to fill my prescriptions on site - in fact moments after we reviewed the prescriptions with the Dr. they were ready to go. I would suggest this facility to anyone in the area. Thank you Dr. Leon!!
My son (7) and I have been here a handful of times now and they are just as good as our regular doctors. I love that theres a lab on site and they are always nice and thorough. The hours are great and weve never had a long wait. I cant say enough good things about our experiences here. Better than the local ER in my opinion because they dont push pain medication, rather try solve the cause of the pain.
I was in there for 3 hours and only got seen by the doctor once after doing 4 tests, its not a urgent care if its not urgent. the doctor didnt even know what tests they had ordered. overall the nurses were extremely nice but the doctors seem to be off edge. i had to leave without getting any medicine they still werent ready to diagnose me.
Fast service and very clean office. Was out in 45 minutes. Doctor was very pleasant and nice, so was the medical assistant that assist me. lady at front desk could be a more customer friendly. Loved that she wiped down the pen with sanitizer, not sure if it was because of me, or she does that every time someone signs. Either way great service.
Great People!! The service is so much more patient oriented than the local ER and hospitals! I appreciate their system and getting you to see the actual doctor quickly! The Doctors are great and seem to be sincerely concerned about your issues. They are thorough and efficient. They took great care of me when I had a horrible Migraine when the ER just sent me home!!!
Ive been to quite a few patient first facilities and Montgomeryville was hands down the best one yet. Clean and very friendly. Helped me not only with my foot but helped make it easier to be there with humor. Made me feel comfortable there. Please thank everyone for me !!Joe Gould
Took my youngest there, today, since his Pediatrician was closed. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Carol was so sweet to my son and Susan came in to assist with his culture, made him laugh and feel comfortable. I had the most contact with Allison, and she was stellar. Kind, attentive, fast, and treated every patient that came in, as if their sickness etc, was the most important thing to her, in that moment. She went above and beyond for us and made the whole experience so much more pleasant, especially with a freightened and sick 5 year old.
Im extremely satisfied in my experience with Patient First. My wife was suffering from extreme abdominal pains on a Saturday morning, when my primary care physicians office was closed. I took her to Patient First, where they diagnosed her with a kidney infection right away. Their diagnosis was correct, and their treatment saved my wife from serious complications, such as long-term kidney damage. Who knows what would have happened if we waited until my primary care physicians office opened on Monday. There are several things about Patient First that I really like. First, we didnt have to wait days for an appointment. Second, they have a lab, x-ray service, and pharmacy in the building. They had my wifes test results in a matter of minutes. Lastly, the facilities are meticulously clean and modern. I wouldnt hesitate to use their services again.
The staff was great!! Everyone was super sweet and made the whole process very positive. Every single person I encountered during the whole process was awesome. The facility is very clean and new looking. I definitely recommend patient first over urgent care any day.
We experienced a wait time of less than a minute! Everyone was so nice, and helpful, and timely, and professional. The place is clean and comfortable. And they had/did everything there: x-ray, blood tests, prescriptions... I made sure to let the cashier at check-out know how great a place I think it is.
We were there for a Covid-19 Test, we arrived about 20 minutes early and we were promptly taken care of. Let them know we were here on the Email they sent was, they called us took the information needed over the phone and had us come in for the test. It was a pleasure!
Went in last night for a scratched cornea. Registration process is a bit long and tedious but they called me promptly both for registration and care so I was not waiting long. Granted this was about 8:45pm. Theyre also one of the only ones in the area open till 10 which was a lifesaver. Both the tech and the physician who saw me were very nice and very helpful. I got immediate relief from my discomfort and was given antibiotics for very cheap and was told I should be better in a day or so.
We started taking our family here about a year ago, Patient First is now our PCP. I love this place and I love the staff. They are wonderful, warm, caring and very understanding. Dr. Olga Vinshtok is an AWESOME Dr. My kids absolutely love her. They all have said that feel very comfortable around her and trust her. That is something great to hear from my kids.Thank you to Dr. Olga and the staff at Patient First for helping my kids no only get better but making everyone in my family feel like part of your family.Thank you!!
Went for a Covid test.1) I got there 15 minutes before my appointment, parked in the designated spot on the back, and clicked the Im here link on my email.2) Answered questions via cellphone (drivers license #, medical info).3) Entered via back entrance & was taken to an examination room where Heather explained the Patient First portal and verified contact info4) I lowered my mask just enough to be gently swabbed (I feaed the brain poke, but it went less than one inch deep.).All told, it took 15 minutes. Now I wait 3 - 5 days for the results.
If you know its cold and flu season - hire more staff. Also, I felt I wasnt treated properly because they just wanted me in and out to see the next person. I once thought this was great alternative to ER and/or family doctor, however, at this point, I feel Id choose them first. Hire. More. Doctors.
The staff is nice. however, the wait time is atrocious. Has been last few times I was there. Turns into an all night affair. I will be trying someplace new next time. Also the doctor said Tamiflu wasnt available as generic. This is not true and two pharmacies confirmed that it is. Maybe if she knew and/or if it was available, we wouldnt have had to run dummy missions to other pharmacies at their closing times to try to find it only to find out that what we were told was not true
This has been my second visit to Patient First and I am very pleased with them. At 67 yrs old and running a fever of 103 I was pretty ill. It is easy to check in at one of their kiosks and then after a few minutes I was called in to sign a couple forms and was taken right back. I was swabbed for flu and told there would be a 15 minute wait on that result. It seemed like forever before the doctor came in but I am certain that was probably in part due to how sick I felt. Dr. Esbenshade was professional, thorough, took the time to ask questions, and then prescribed Tamiflu. He sent me home with instructions and I am feeling much better! I am grateful to have a place like this b/c it would have been hours of sitting in an emergency room. I was in and out in an hour. the facility is clean and everyone was kind. Thank you Patient First! I recommend!
The staff at the patient first in Montgomeryville took amazing care of myself and two days later my daughter. We were incredibly sick with the flu and strep. I felt like I was falling apart but they were so caring from the second we walked in until we left. We will choose Patient First every time.
I would love to give them a higher rating. But their lab supervisor, Jeanie P, had a huge attitude just because I had simply asked her for a wipe because the one I was provided with was open and dried out. When she came in to take my blood the attitude continued and I asked if there was anyone else who could take my blood. That’s when she proceeded to tell me she was the supervisor. I honestly don’t care if she’s the supervisor or not. I didn’t trust her and didn’t want her to touch me taking my blood. I told her I didn’t appreciate it that, then she told me she’s been doing her job for 35 years and that she was very professional. Well excuse me lady, 35 years drawling blood doesn’t mean you have good customer service and absolutely does not mean you’re professional. My advice specifically to her is if she doesn’t like her job find a new one. As far as everyone else I dealt with today... they were great. The nurse, doctor, the guy who took my X-ray even the girl who took my blood who took over for their rude and grumpy and definitely not professional “lab supervisor” as a matter of fact everyone in that establishment was more professional than that (insert curse word) “lab supervisor”
Have been here twice to establish them as my primary care and get treated for a sinus infection. Dr. Knecht and Dr. Esbenshade were both fantastic. The nurses and other staff were also friendly and helpful. I did have a very long wait to see the doctor the first time I visited, but they are currently dealing with plenty of flu patients. It is walk-in and first come first serve so you run the risk of waiting a long time but I think the care given and the convenience of getting your medications right there outweigh the slight inconvenience of very ill people being treated before you!
Wonderful staff, quick service, and clean... However, if you are using insurance you will receive a bill in the mail several weeks after being there. I was under the impression that after paying my specialist copay that I would be all paid up, but as others have stated you will be billed again. Moral of the story is weigh the pros and cons.. if you can get into your doctor do it, if you need immediate assistance it is a positive to have one so close.
Prior to me receiving follow-up treatment at the Short Pump location of Patient First from a prior visit, the billing clerk refused to provide me with any treatment because she said there was an unpaid balance on my account. When I called my wife while sitting with the billing clerk, my wife advised that she had just paid the unpaid balance on the automated phone system and she provided a confirmation number. The billing clerk still refused to provide any medical care, stating that she had no way of knowing if my wife was telling the truth or not. In order to receive treatment, they forced me to pay the exact same amount that my wife had just paid on the automated system, which resulted in a double payment for the prior treatment. During my second treatment, the Patient First physician misread my x-ray which resulted in an incorrect diagnoses which resulted in unnecessary treatment in their office. A radiologist called me later that same night to inform me of the physicians incorrect diagnoses. When my primary care physician saw the x-ray, she was shocked at the original misdiagnosis because she said it was so obvious. When I subsequently arrived at Patient First for a third visit, the billing clerk again refused to provide me with any medical care because she said that I had a past due amount owed. When I explained to her that I double paid for my original treatment which should have resulted in a credit to be applied to my second visit, she stated I had not double paid anything as their system only showed that a single past payment had been made outside of co-payments. I called my wife while sitting with the billing clerk, and my wife stated that both equal payment amounts had already posted against our checking account and there should have been a credit applied to the second visit. The billing clerk then refused to provide me with any medical care, and she refused to adjust the bill to account for the double payment of my first visit. When I spoke to a Manager, she checked their billing system and she stated that only one payment had posted on their system, even though my wifes checking statement already showed two equal payments coming out of her checking account. When I complained about the fact that they were refusing to provide me with medical treatment, she said that she would authorize medical treatment only if I could guarantee that my wife had already paid all amounts owed. I explained that I didnt know if she had paid everything owed or not because they only showed that one payment had been received even though the double payments had already come out of my wifes checking account. I then left their office and advised that I would seek treatment at a medical providers office that was able to account for past payments. On this same date, my wife who is authorized to handle billing for my account, spoke to the manager and requested that the medical bills be sent to our home. Patient First then sent my protected health information to an unauthorized 3rd party in Yorktown, Virginia who notified me in writing about the breach. Numerous Patient First employees denied that a breach had occurred, and they did not admit that a breach had occurred until after I notified their General Counsel & CEO about the breach.I have filed formal complaints with state and federal regulators, and my health insurance carrier, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, for the many Patient First violations of state and federal privacy violations and illegal billing practices. In my opinion, if you want your medical information to remain confidential, I would find another medical provider and only use Patient First in the case of an absolute medical emergency.
After a month of being intermittently sick, I had visited two other urgent care centers in the area. The first one I was told to take cough drops, and the second didnt even touch me. I was handed a script for an antibiotic and felt like I was kicked out the door. It made me feel even worse. Until this past Sunday. I was exceptionally impressed when I visited the Patient First facility in Montgomeryville, PA on 2/25/18. My Mom took me so my husband could stay home with my small daughter. I was taken back for insurance information and vitals and was in a patient room within minutes of my arrival. The facility was extremely clean, the staff presented themselves with the utmost professionalism, and I felt as though my privacy and comfort were put before anything else. All of the staff were very focused on washing their hands, using their masks, and cleaning up their trash when they were done doing a job or taking information. The nursing tech who took my vitals was very efficient. I was also happy with my experience when the doctor ordered an x ray. The phlebotomist was extremely gentle and compassionate. Dr. Eisenberg came in and introduced himself (after he used hand sanitizer, something I appreciate). I felt at ease with his knowledge of my symptoms and history, and he was sure to go over any questions I had. After he did a full exam, he diagnosed me and double checked my medications. He did not want to cause me any more stomach upset or drug interactions. He also told me what foods to stay away from to help my illness from progressing. He made me aware that the radiologist would be calling me if there were any concerns on his part. The entire time we were there, my Mom was saying that she, herself, was very impressed in the facility and that they could not have been any nicer or more professional. We will hopefully not be getting sick anytime soon, but if we were, I am making a bee-line straight to Patient First because I know I will be in the best of hands. Thank you to all staff who were on my case that day and that took such great care of me!
I went in yesterday sick , sore throat and sinus pressure and as I was waiting in the room to be seen, I could hear the doctor outside complaining to her colleagues that she was hungry and I was the last person she would have to deal with before her lunch ... which made me feel like awkward . After examining me she tells me there’s nothing she can do and if anything worsens to come back in. Today I’m in a full-blown sick flu like symptoms so I called them back to see if I can get an antibiotic sent over to my local pharmacy. The nurse who answered the phone was not only rude but stated to me that “Doctors never take phone calls and they won’t for you”... so I am not only sick and have no medicine but now I’m out my 45$ co pay . Every single time I went to my primary doctor if something went wrong after a visit I called and they at least assisted me with something. A big waste of my time and money on top of dealing with rude staff . Don’t waste your time
I’m literally sitting in the exam room now. I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room and it’s been almost 2 hours I’ve been sitting in the exam room. I’m pretty sure they’ve just forgotten I’m here. Not feeling very urgent right now. No one has even stopped in to check if I’m alright. The staff I did meet was kind but the whole point of going to urgent care is so you don’t have to wait at ER or wait on a family doc appointment. Who knows how much longer I’ll be here.
Absolutely nothing to do with patient first. They treat patients last. DO NOT WASTE TIME HERE, BUT GO TO EITHER EMERGENCY ROOM OR OTHER MEDICAL WALKIN LIKE CVS OR DETWILER WALK IN.I went in last night around 5: 50pm. It was snowing and terrible. I had a rash around my neck and I needed some kind prescription. I walked out around 7pm without seeing a doctor. I had to wait in the treatment area for a doctor to come in. It wasnt busy, but staff people are just chatting and standing around quietly. I couldnt wait any longer because I was falling asleep and feeling sick. This wasnt first time felt this. No one cared when I said I had to leave due to appointment. One doctor said, just leave. It was worse than emergency room.I will go to Detwiler associates. They have walk in there and very good. Never wait that long even though pretty busy. I didnt know Detwiler opens till 7pm during the week night. And they open till 3ish on Saturday for walk in.Anyway do not go here unless you have very bad symptoms, then you should go to emergency hospital. Here, they are not friendly enough for small treatment and not big enough for emergency treatment.
I have to warn parents about this place. Please do not send your child here. They are adult focused and are not equip to handle children in any capacity. I took my child here and I should note that it was 830. I had never been to a patient first before so I get here and register my child for an alarming ear bleed. The registration process was about 30 mins which is actually good. We waited in the waiting room for about 45 mins which is also expected. I should also note they close at 10 PM. So now it is 9:45 when the doctor saw my child. He came in, looked at her ear for 5 seconds and said she has a perforated ear drum and ear infection gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and we literally left at 9:50. This did not sit well with me so I filled the prescription and treated my daughter until Monday when I could get her to her doctor. My daughter did not have anywhere close to what the patient first doctor said. No perforated ear drum no inner ear infection. Instead she had a outer ear infection and it was inflamed which only requires drops to cure. This doctor, in my opinion, was concerned about closing time and did not take the time to accurately diagnosis my child. So now Im going to get a bill for bad service and I had to pay for medicine we dont need. DO NOT GO HERE.
From checking in with Theresa to checking out with Sue, while being cared for by nurse Amber and treated by Dr. Osher, my experience at Patient First Montgomeryville was outstanding! My diagnosis required treatment with medication. I was so pleased they have a pharmacy onsite. No extra trip to my pharmacy, no delay in starting the medication, and the same copay as my home pharmacy. The entire facility is modern, clean and bright, too!
I just returned from my first visit to Patient First and had to take the time to write about how amazing this place is. I was on my fourth day of feeling poorly so finally sought some medical assistance. First of all ... these folks could write the book on customer service. Everyone was polite and professional but also warm and caring (and even funny) .. no cold sterile atmosphere here. The facility is brand new and squeaky clean. But, what I liked most was the one stop shopping ... flu test administered and processed, blood drawn and counts provided, x-ray taken and read ... and if Id wanted I could have gotten my prescription there. (But, there was no pressure when I stated that I preferred to use my regular pharmacy._ I love my family physician but I know that I would have left his office with a fist full of scripts for x-rays and blood work and then spent the whole day trying to get all the requirements fulfilled. Patient First made being sick as painless as possible. Try it ... I did and and there is no doubt that Ill be back.
You guys should rename yourselves Get out of the office first. Your doctor refused to even further examine my wife. She said she was having a major headache and neck pane, but the moment she mentioned that she has some chest tightness (but that wasnt a major concern) he completely shot us out and said we need to go to an ER and refused to treat us. When I expressed me concerns of paying a $50 copay to be told to go spend more money at an ER, he simply came back with a form for my wife to sign saying she was refusing advise. Seems like you guys care about your liability than your patients
I am thoroughly disgusted with Patient First, Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. I just opened up the EOB from my insurance company and The visit I had there on August 11 is going toward my out of network deductible. I’m an RN, and by no means ignorant. Before I signed in, I handed the registrar my United healthcare choice plus card, which is insurance I have through my employer. I asked, “Is this urgent care center in network with, participating with the UHC choice plus network?” She said absolutely. Now, since August 11, my husband has had two UC care visits and I’ve had an additional one as well so I’m going to be looking at over $133 per visit. No discounted rate, which I thought I was getting because they were in network, and it’s going to go toward my out of network deductible which I would never in this lifetime meet. I’m going to make it a point to steer people away from Patient First as they are not honest or forthright. I am grateful that for my last visit on September 10 I used my credit card, because I’m absolutely going to dispute the charges. I want Patient First to make this right.
Best place ever to see a doctor for emergency care. My husband had a great experience with the everyone there. He never goes to the doctor and they could not get him so we went here and such wonderful people. The staff was great. The doctor was outstanding. I would highly recommend coming here.
Absolutely horrible, and will NEVER return here again. I have had bad experiences before but this is the last time. I waited a long time for a doctor to come in after 4 people after me were seen. I explained my symptoms which were not worth going to the hospital emergency room. As soon as the doctor walked in he said go to the Emergency room. Every time I have gone here before has been the exact same answer. Go to the Er. I thought this place was instead of emergency room. Doctor didnt care what I had to say and didnt even listen to me before saying go to hospital. I believe this place just is a waste of time and money. I will fight this visit with my insurance because I am tired of getting ripped off from here
It was my first time here, I liked how they take your blood works and u wait maybe 45-50 minutes for the results to come back! Wow! Love this place ! So that you don’t have to worry for 4-5 days waiting for your test results to come back or like some other places that never calls back about the test results.. thank you to all the doctors on this planet🙏 God bless y’all 🧡 Ps a 4 star is because of the long wait time..
I had been waiting 3 weeks for a day when the place wasnt crowded beyond belief to actually try to be seen, so New Years Day seemed like a good opportunity. Not many people out and about in the morning.I had only one person ahead of me, and when the red-headed pregnant receptionist finished registering the person in front of me, some time went by. She appeared to pull up my name (this is interesting, because I have filed complaints here before) and she placed a phone call. Then she went to talk to someone. After about 4 minutes elapsed, I was finally called back. Right off the bat, it seemed she had no intention of allowing me to be seen. (Could this be retaliation for making complaints?) She didnt even enter my insurance information and informed me that my insurance wasnt accepted. I knew this was a lie, because I have a very good insurance plan and I have been here on many occasions and my insurance company paid out every single time. I was told that Patient First does not provide routine care, which is a lie. Routine care is prominently featured in advertisements for this business.I was advised to start the process of finding another GP because Patient First will not do bloodwork for anyone. More lies. How stupid do you think people are?Tomorrow, I will be getting on the phone with my insurance company, and it will be to report this location for refusing to accept insurance when under contract and denying care. Maybe you will choose to continue to ignore me, but I promise you that a multi-billion dollar insurance company will prove harder to ignore. I gave you an opportunity to deal with me directly and make things right. Now I will bring in the right people to make certain that things are made right.P.S. After refusing to take my insurance, the receptionist asked me if I wanted to see a nurse. This, after being lectured for 5 minutes about how I could not be seen. What sort of doublespeak is this?Rest assured, I am going to have a happy new year. Can you guess why?
My first-ever visit was exceptional. From entry to exit, everything was top shelf, professionally speaking. My issue was dealt with quickly, competently and having Rx service available on-site was so convenient: I had an eyelash that was jabbing my eye - I had tried OTC eyedrops and lid scrubs but couldnt see anything in the mirror (nor could my nurse sister who was visiting for the holidays). I needed Saturday night 8 pm attention. I avoided the ER and have had no follow up issues and am faithfully taking my antibiotic eyedrops. Kudos to Patient First.
I love everything about this office. It’s clean and professional, extremely convenient and easy, friendly staffs and caring doctors. No appointment is needed, just walk-in, no waste time. I can see the doctors immediately.I have been seeing by Dr. Osher. She is really nice and caring. She knows what she is doing. Thank You Dr. Osher; you are the best.
I never write reviews Unless I’m blown away of very upset, so here it goes. Everyone up to the PA was nice. He was very busy. I spent almost 3 hours for the PA to see me for 30 seconds and give me Tylenol. I had to beg her to write me an RX for cough syrup which probably isn’t going to work because it’s not what I am use to getting. I won’t know until tomorrow because now it’s past 10 and I can’t get it filled anyway. What a waste of time where I could have done this myself. I only didn’t go to my Pcp because he is over an hour away. But I should have because the amount of time wasted I could have been there and back and in bed before I left this place. I understand after your 30th something patient of the night your exhausted, but come on! I had to ask her what was going on with me. She didn’t tell me.I was also told I could buy medication here and I wouldn’t have to go to the pharmacy by another staff member. So I took that was the physician would write me a script and I would get the medication before I left. WRONG. There isn’t anything there. They gave me 2 Tylenol by hand and a cough syrup Rx that I had to get filled out of the office.Honestly I’m not sure if this is how it is because I have always gone to a regular Pcp, but I practically ran out of there in tears. Now my insurance is going to be billed for “care and services” I feel I did not receive. Not happy at all.
I needed to be seen for a muscle injury and went first thing in the morning. The doctor saw me almost immediately after checking in. I was able to get a diagnosis and prescription and was out of there in an hour tops. Everyone there was very professional and kind. This was at least my third time being at Patient First (first time for myself, though).
My care was not a problem. However, There was apparently $30 not covered by insurance. So after three months this was sent to a Collection agency. THREE MONTHS! That is not right at all for medical care!!! Sure we should have paid but honestly dont remember seeing these bills (they claim they sent 3 bills). So as soon as we received notice from the collection agency,we go into Patient First and pay both the balance and the $40 the collection agency is charging. A month after this is paid, we still receive a threatening letter from Collection agency- as apparently Patient First never notified them! So dont go here. We have decent health insurance but for anyone who may end up with a large balance not paid by insurance- know that this may happen. I was told this is their policy. I work in the medical field myself and there is just no way an unpaid medical bill should go to collections after only 3 months...Not right for health care!
If one take ill this is the place to go. I recently had the flu (with the dubious honor of being their 2st case).Being pretty sick, I went there 3 times over the course of 2 weeks, my primary Dr being 100 miles away.I was treated with excellent care. Fact that they have complete lab and xray facilities is a big plus. Results were ready in minutes.Reading some other reviews Id add the I saw Dr. Rathgeber twice.
On Monday, I came in to get a simple routine blood test done (I would use a family doctor, but I dont have one, and havent had the best luck with any doctors in this area) and there must have been ten people in the waiting room. I signed in but it became clear that Id be there for hours so I left and came back in the afternoon. In the afternoon it was the same story, ten people in the waiting area. You cannot run an urgent care with only one doctor on duty at a time in a place like Montgomeryville, especially in the middle of flu season. Every time I come here it wastes time and gas. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to come back another day to be seen, and soon I will be in that category as well if I run out of my meds.Id like to believe that someone gets reprimanded any time there is a walkout, but it must happen all the time, and nothing ever changes.I think its very interesting that Patient First prominently displays advertisements announcing that people getting flu shots are fast-tracked, and yet people who actually have the flu get to sit there and wait for 2 hours. Not to mention, all these people are doing is spreading the virus around, but the TV ads for this place are telling people to visit any time they get the flu. There is no treatment for the flu except hydration and bedrest, so Patient First is doing a horrendous disservice to the public by running ads implying otherwise. In Japan, they have a new drug that will shorten the duration of the flu, but you wont find that here at Patient First!I also find it interesting that a few months ago they put up signs advertising their free Halloween candy screening service in which they x-ray your kids candy to make sure there are no razor blades in it. No wonder the lines are so GD long, they are playing picture pages with GD medical equipment instead of treating patients! All this, despite the fact that there has not been a single confirmed case of unsafe Halloween candy in the entire country. Yet, each year, panicky moms resurrect this hysteria and Patient First feeds into the mass paranoia. I thought doctors were supposed to educate people, not feed into superstition.I hope that everyone reading this starts doing the following:If you see that its busy, dont drive away without signing in, just sign in and walk out. Maybe if enough people do this, something will change.
Ive never had a bad experience here. They helped me every time. Been here many times, very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and convenient. So glad theyre in my neighborhood. My favorite is Ryan. Havent seen him in a while though. Office staff great too. Highly recommend.
I grew up in this area but now live in Georgia. I was so sick and HAD to see a doctor on my visit with my family. Patient first exceeded my expectations. The staff was so warn and inviting, and I was taken back in minutes, I and out I less than 40 minutes! I was amazed on a Saturday! The facility was the cleanest I have ever seen. I wish we had something like this in Georgia!
Will never go to a Patient First again. They were not at all forthcoming about fees and the fact that the tests that were submitted would be billed to me separately in addition to the exorbitant fee their doctor charged for a 5 minute visit. I was not given an option to refuse the tests and it was certainly not explained that the tests would be upwards of $300. If you do not have insurance, there are reasons for that, and the least medical providers can do is make it clear what you will be responsible for paying, instead of having additional lab bills show up 4 months later.
I had a horrible experience here. My dog was playing with me and accidentally cut my mouth. Not a serious cut at all ended up going to the Er and got a little bit of glue and was fine. Patient’s first refused to see me until I filled out a form reporting the incident. I did not feel comfortable reporting my 5 month old dog. He is not aggressive in anyway in fact if anything it was my fault for not trimming his nails appropriately. After the dog scatched me he sat on my lap and cried at the door till my husband came home. Such a vicious animal. After stating I wasn’t comfortable with the form I was brought into a room where a nurse stated if I didn’t sign the form she would fill it out and it would be worse for me. I walked out. Meanwhile I’m bleeding and the whole time she’s arguing with me Instead of giving me a tissue, just disgusting. I ended up leaving and going to Doylestown hospital where I had no issues. And no form had to be filled out. That lady should lose her medical license. The patient should always be the priority. This was disgusting. As I left she said” you may want to get that looked at”.
My son is an ice hockey player, who hurt his elbow during practice. Rather than running to the emergency room at 8:30 on a Thursday night, we visited Patient First. They take every insurance as far as I could tell. He was taken back to the examination room within minutes, and after gathering the pertinent information he received an x-ray. The doctor on duty reviewed the x-ray, and then spoke with my son and examined his arm at length. I was really impressed with the way she listened to him, identifying where the pain was and what his concerns were. It wasnt a two minute exam. The doctor then took us over to look at the x-ray, and showed him what a dislocation looked like so he could see that his elbow was not dislocated, but hyper-extended. They even called to follow up the next day. I will definitely go back. Especially with having an ice hockey player, convenience and care are essential.
The staff was very friendly and polite. I walked in and sat down to complete registration and then was taken back immediately to have vitals taken. They swabbed me for strep throat and had results within 15 mins and also gave me a prescription right there onsite. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.
Place is clean, staff is nice. Was sent here by a nurse from my school. They almost refused to see me because I had a $69 balance. The receptionist who was also a nurse said I was having symptoms of a stroke but she had to check with her boss to see if she can override my $69 balance. Once the balance was over ridden, they took me back and called 911. I wasnt even aware of a balance.
I was very disappointed with what I experienced Patient Primary care with Dr.Florin Vlasie. I left the office in more pain than when I got there and he prescribed me medication I shouldnt be taking for my infection.I came into the office on July 16, 2021 at 7pm with an ear infection that was caused by using Debtox in my ear at home and Ive been in pain for 7 days. My pain level before being seen was a 6/10.Dr. Florin Vlasie didnt listen to what I had said and proceeded to use Debtox to clean my ear, even though I was nervous to do so and expressed my concerns, he ignored my concerns and made me feel uncomfortable speaking up, talking back to me and making me feel uncomfortable. The nurse came to clean my one ear after 10 minutes of having Debtox in my ear, which was painful. I was in alot of pain to the point of crying. They didnt even clean my left ear, just my right ear. My pain level was now 9/10. I mentioned on the First Paitent website they suggest antibiotics amoxicillin for ear infections. He gave me to two other perscriptions: Sulfamethoxazole (pill) and Neomycin Polymyxin(ear drops). Which I found out later, was not the proper medication to give me for the ear infection I have.He tried to hurry me out and wanted me to buy the medication there. He told me I couldnt find better prices for the medication than Paitent First. Even though I told him I had GoodRx (which Paitent First offers!)He made me feel belittled and told me to come back for a check up. I did not feel confident with his handling of my ear infection and I dont feel safe coming back to First Paitent urgent care. I left there in more pain then when I arrived, (9/10) crying and holding my ear. I didnt sleep at all.Aftermath:I decided to go to Tower Health Urgent Care in the morning because the pain wasnt easing. They carefully looked in both ears, took the time to listen to what I was saying. They did not use Debtox on my ears. They cleaned both ears with just warm water and a bit if hydrogen peroxide and got the earwax out carefully. They noticed because Patient First didnt properly clean out my ears, the earwax was was compact and deeper in my ear, which is why I was in so much pain last night. They were able to see inside and see my eardrum was swollen and infected. They gave me a perscription for amoxicillin and told me to stop taking both drugs Dr. Florin Vlasie prescribed.I felt the need to write this all out because I had wasted my money there and left in more pain and taking the wrong drugs for my illness. I hope Paitent First will improve their experience and not allow malpractice to happen like this again.
Waited for almost 2 to 3 hours and no doctor came to see me in the room I was in. Everytime I peek out the doctors were chatting with themselves and drinking coffee instead helping their patients. I saw other patients come and go but I was still there. Worst place. It used to be fast but go worst.
Worst care by PA I’ve ever seen. It was like he was bothered I came in on a holiday weekend, his lack of care and diagnosis proved it. Will not be returning ever again. Was the only one there at the time. Could hear chatter amongst employees. If it wasn’t for the front desk and register person, would of given this no stars.
Check in for me was easy. What was nice was I saw Sue (at the front desk, sorry I do not remember her last name) come out and help an elderly gentleman who was a little challenged in English complete his check in. It was comforting to see her helping him and he seemed quite appreciative.Everyone else there were equally helpful and professional. I will recommend Patient First to all my friends.
I would not go back. Receptionist was complaining about customers coming in late, waited in Drs okkice for 45 minutes, with lights going on and off due to light sensor. Finally seen by a physicians assistant who tells me that an antibiotic is not needed because infection is viral. Called the very next night asking for an antibiotic to be called in for me. The nurse, who was very nice explained to me that the Dr. That I was seen by,was the only one able to call in script and she was off. The next day I go directly to my family Dr.She immediately put me on a antibiotic, and a cough serum. I have a mild case of pneumonia. Thank GOD FOR MY FAMILY PRACTICE. This patient care place also asks for a credit card to be on file. Never was I ever asked for that. I will tell all my friends about this place. I will never go back. Lesson learned.
I have gone to this Patient First location several times.. once for a Bronchial infection (IE: Bronchitis) and once for an infected leg, both times the wait was very short, did not take long to check out the problem and they even offered to dispense medication for the infected leg and the Bronchitis at their location (instead of having to go to the pharmacy) and the med cost was comparable to the pharmacy cost.. what a convenience!! I prefer this to going to my family Doctor because I can always get treated fast after 5:00pm - my Family doctor I usually need to schedule several days in advance, and usually during my work hours.. which is not easy for me to do. I highly recommend this place for a routine medical visit such as infection, strepped throat, etc.I have medical insurance so the office visit was only a $20 co-pay and the meds were about the same price that I would have paid at the local pharmacy. All-in-all a great visit for all 3 times I have visited this location.
I accompanied a friend to this facility after an incident at work. The registration staff was very polite. However, the physician was very unprofessional. Dr. Thomas F. Powell was not informative, nor personable during this visit. The physician did not explain what he was doing during the assessment, his findings, or the work restrictions provided. He used medical jargon that was incomprehensible by non health care professionals. When asked what he meant, the physician sighed and explained in a very brief manner. This physician prescribed a 500mg barbiturate for pain relief when the patient stated she does not take strong medications. The medication is very dangerous and is a controlled substance and this physician did not describe any side effects, how the medication works or any instructions regarding taking this medication such as caution with driving because it causes dizziness, or abstain from alcohol use as it can cause seizures. This physician is very unprofessional and is not safely practicing medicine. i was very unimpressed and downright disgusted by his actions as a health care provider. I would NEVER go back to see this physician.
Took my daughter for a neuro recheck and Dr.Isiah Abney was awful. First of all he wanted to send us to the hospital for a catscan and hand specialist. (She had her nail tore off at the nail bed) I just think he didnt want to deal with anything so he figured he would send us to the hospital.I had to ask him to do the neurologist recheck.Saw the PA the day before she knew more than the doctor. Very disappointed
Had a excellent experience. I have been to Patient Firsts competitors and the level of service I received at Patient First was second to none. Thank you for providing a welcoming and professional environment. I will recommend your services to all of my friends and family.
I have been here three times and each time recieved efficient and appropriate care. Most recently my son got stitches from provider Propato who was very professional with good bedside manner for a 5 year old child. She did a thorough concussion and neuro exam of his face which I appreciated. I recieved better care for my child here than I have at the local CHOP urgent care in Chalfont and also better than Einstein ER. I am a medical professional and feel comfortable with this facility.
Two days before Christmas; one doctor on duty, as usual. What are people supposed to do when all the normal doctors are on vacation and they need tests done or need an injury taken care of?I counted 8 including myself in the waiting room. If I come back later is it going to be the same situation? At this place, you never know if you are going to have serious symptoms written off as heartburn, or if you are going to be chastised for coming in with a condition too serious for them to know how to treat it. The last time I was here and actually managed to see someone, I was given papers which were essentially the equivalent of, Send us a postcard. For those of you too young to know what that means, it means to feign interest in the good time (or in this case, the bad time) that someone else is having.I mean, seriously, We will follow up with you within 72 hours to find out how youre doing? Is that designed to make me believe that a billion dollar company personally gives a damn about me? If I wind up dead and consequently dont answer my phone when I am called, do I get filed under success story? Just curious.
BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS FACILITY IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE!!! I took my son here and we have great benefits. Had we gone to the local hospital emergency room, it would have cost $100. We now have a bill that will total over $300 because they are an emergency facility, not covered by many insurance policies. The care was good but at a VERY HIGH PRICE. It will be the local emergency room next time. I feel that Patient First advertises they accept insurances but look at your policy first or go to the ER; it could be cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!Learned the hard and expensive way!!!!!!!
The HIPPA red tape is awful. Signing for someone to speak with facility is not the same as picking up records, when the patient asked to sign whatever was needed to give ALL access to parent. Wasted so much time trying to get a copy of my daughters records when it was totally obvious that the patients wishes were NOT being followed. Customer service toting the party line of this is the law, when they did not give the patient the proper form to fill out in the first place. So totally frustrated with this company!!!!! Its like they work AGAINST the patient, not for them.
Over two hours later: still waiting in an exam room without even having been addressed... for a 5 minute physical. When we arrived, there were only two other people back here being seen. Now, all exam rooms are full, the waiting room is packed, and the doctor and nurses have been sitting out in their open area chatting and typing for quite a while. They take the “urgent” out of “urgent care.” And, come to think of it, I guess the “care” is missing as well. 🙁
Update, Jennifer is a fraud, she comments on posts but never returns calls. She could care less! I was seen by Frank Brizzi, I discovered this from the release paperwork because he never introduced himself and basically rushed the visit after a 2 hour wait. Seen multiple good reviews on here but obviously depends on who you get and on a Sunday, nobody appeared happy, helpful or courteous. Good luck! Jennifer, thank you for your reply on here. One hour after you replied I called you and left a message with all my contact information andhave not heard back from you!
Do NOT go here unless you are looking for bad service. The lady at the front desk named Emily is extremely rude. I was trying to explain a situation to her and she started giving me, my girlfriend, and the doctor a disgusting amount of attitude. She also added charges to our bill after she told us we paid the whole bill. I will never be setting foot in that place again
I had a very poor experience. They took my money(copay), billed my insurance for the tests but didnt provide the complete service.Their staff doesnt know their own systems well and then they put the blame on customer.Am I supposed to know how their system works?Anyone visiting should watch out.
This place is great. I had a bad hamstring injury that did not require an emergency room trip but I could not get an appointment at my physicians office for 2 days. I walked in and they saw me right away. Dr. Vinshtok and all the nurses were very warm and listened intently. They took x-rays just down the hall and gave me a diagnosis within 10 minutes. With the visit, x-rays, crutches, ace bandage, and ibuprofen I walked (er, hobbled) out with, the total bill was only $154. An ER visit would have cost triple that, at least, and would have taken 4 hours. Even an office visit to my GP costs close to $100, and I would have had to drive somewhere else for an x-ray. I am happy this place opened up nearby, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing to see a doctor that day for a non-emergency.
First time patient. Very impressed with the efficiency and competence of the ancillary staff. The site is clean and the assessment process is well organized. You feel well taken care of in a professional setting that is even better than a typically hectic hospital ER. the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the attending physician at the time had poor patient care manners and was basically incompetent, unable to answer simple questions, provide post care instructions and in the end misdiagnosed/misread the xray resulting in a delayed fracture diagnosis not to mention being told to go about normal activity. The CNA provided excellent care and seemed to be the most knowledgeable person on staff. I would suggest you augment your weak medical staff with competent NPs/PAs

2022-03-06I had gone in to this urgent care facility on Monday due to vertigo symptoms. The lobby was clean and I was the first patient so I had no wait and the registration was quick and staff were friendly. My nurse, Rose was wonderful. She checked my EKG and I then waited for the physician. Jessica, PA seemed inexperienced and UC is probably not the best environment for someone new in the field, in my opinion. She actually ended up giving me the wrong prescription. She prescribed meclizine and ended up giving me an antibiotic for bladder/UTI. Luckily for me, I have no allergies but for someone who did, could have had issues. I called, explained the situation and Rose asked if I would be able to come back so they can see the bottle. As you can see, what was prescribed vs what was given. My only concern was that when Jessica, PA gave me the correct prescription, she did not even feel the need to apologize. Only advised she looked at the name and DOB but I guess not the actual medicine, kind of like no big deal. Doesnt exactly leave you feeling confident coming there again.

2022-05-29This was my first time at an urgent care for myself and despite not feeling well, it was a great experience. The moment I walked in the door, I was welcomed. I was registered and taken back to a room super fast and did not have to wait long for the PA to see me. I got diagnosed, got my prescriptions, and was out in less than an hour. Thank you for making a tough day better!

2022-05-01This is our first visit to this place.I want to express my deep gratitude to the employees working on April 30. We were registered by the sweetest woman (sorry, I don’t remember her name). A wonderful nurse met and conducted all the necessary tests, my daughter is 1.5 years old and I understand how difficult it is to do it all twice with a small child. Then a very pleasant doctor Christina Knecht came, examined my daughter, explained everything verbatim how to treat her daughter and let us go home. Thank you very much for your quick and qualified approach to patients (especially such small ones)

2022-01-12This was my first visit to the facility. It was very nice, the staff friendly. The wait time was a little long but that was probably more due to current situations and not the facility process. I did like the way I was able to track my position in the triage process after the registration process and then being seen by the physician staff. The link sent at the time of the initial registration to allow for tracking was quite helpful.

2022-01-10Everyone at Patient First is so kind and helpful. I visited to make sure my cold wasn’t COVID. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick their check in was despite a full waiting room at the beginning of the day. I was able to see a doctor after an hour and a half, but I didn’t mind waiting considering how many people were there. They had a “wait in your car” option, which I picked, and I was comfortable as I waited. It cost me nothing to get the COVID test. The paperwork was minimal. Only 2 pages. I had to bring my ID and insurance card. Other medical cards are needed if you have prescriptions with those. The doctor that saw me was sweet and helpful. The process was as efficient and streamlined. Thank you Patient First!

2022-03-29My husband went after a few days of a eye issue he was treated very nicely by the man at the front deskHe was brought back to be yelled at for not being able to see well out of the right eye which had the issues. They were all very nasty to him the whole time enough for me to have to say something. If your this unhappy with your job move on . Work on training your employees to have better bedside manners . I was shocked how rude each person was . Would have been better off in the er .

2022-03-17Check with your insurance company before coming here ! Got tested for Covid so I could return to work, had my insurance info available but was not told my insurance was not going to cover my visit. Charged me almost $400 just to have a q-tip shoved up my nose. I understand doctors and staff must be paid accordingly but I felt EXTREMELY over charged. Will not return to patient first after this experience and will not recommend them to any friends, family or colleagues.

2021-12-24I had a very good experience at patient first. Everyone was so kind and so caring. I felt I received very good treatment, and I’m so grateful to all of you. It was a very crowded day and a long wait, but I understand there’s nothing you can do about that. Thanks for being there, Patient First!!

2022-03-23What a terrific experience! Had a minor head injury that required a couple of stitches. The staff is friendly, the doctor was personable and factual. A (mostly) painless experience! Highly recommend this place.
