On 2/17 I brought my children to this Dr tidy office after a year. Wasn’t pleased with service. So I spoke to the dental assistant and informed her of her caps hurting and some other things. My don needed cleaning. I wrote it on the questionnaire form too. Well they cleaned my sons teeth, then told me he has aged out and had 6 cavities. WHAT!! How do you perform any work in his mouth then refer me to somewhere else. Billed my insurance and then referred me. My insurance isn’t paying g gir services of X-rays again. Never had me sign a consent to release form. NOTHING!!!!Now for my daughter. Dr. Phil. He previously went and looked into her mouth. Never said I’m Dr so and so. Didn’t explain anything of what he was doing on the previous visit. So I had to call them back and ask what occurred with the caps because nothing was said. Three times to get an answer because they had to forks to the dentist. Never received a call back from the 1st 2 times it f calling. They never even checked it. I had to bring her back. So now when I spoke to the dental assistant I said , Hey, can you let the dentist now yo inform my daughter of what of what he is doing. Dr. Phil had the audacity to say yo her@ OH YOU MUST RESLLY BE MISERABLE AT HOME!!. To a 11 year old really. She told me after we arrived home and they were closing. Better business bureaus here I come
Took my 1.5 yo there today and everyone was nice and friendly. My son is on the spectrum as I explained to the dental assistant who relayed that message to the dentist. We stayed in the tiny X-ray room where the dentist patiently and gently examined, and cleaned my sons teeth. My little guy did better than I expected🥰 Dr. Blake is excellent at what he does! I highly highly recommend this place for all kids, but especially the ones who need a little more care.
I love this office it was my dentist when I was a kid now I have been taking my son for over 6 years. Pat is the best she is always so welcoming and makes sure we are in and out as quickly as they can be. Plus my son loves taking a picture with Batman and seeing all the characters on the walls.
Pediatric Dental Team is an excellent practice. They have been a pillar of the community for decades. The doctors are wonderful, Pat is the best, and they care about their patients. I would recommend taking your kids there, they will treat you like family, and take care of you.
I was going there when I was a child and now my daughter attends this office. She is a patient and she is always treated well and respected in the office by the staff, which is appreciated. (I mean that’s what you except). The team is the best too. They have been around some time, too. So overall, this is the best office for your child from birth (if you asked me) !!
We absolutely love everything and everyone at the office, and the renovations are coming along beautifully, the open concept makes it feel homely & comfortable... Pat at the front is such a sweetheart & super helpful... itll be a sad day when our son is to old & needs to see an adult dentist, good thing we have YEARS till that day lol ... if youre looking for a great pediatric dentist this is the place ...
I’ve been taking my kids here for the past 9 years and I absolutely love it, they have a great dental team. And treat the kids amazing. The staff is so friendly and kind one of them being Pat Rossi at the front door and Daniel one of the assistants. I will continue to come here, it’s an awesome place.
Completely horrible NOW this office needs to tell Dr John’s patients that he is no longer at this office because I would have not went back if I knew.I took my son back for rescheduled appointment after everything reopened from Covid being closed last yr which took over a month for some one to even call me back to even make the appointment and another month to been seen and I was never told Dr John was no longer there. And instead of picking up where we left at our last appointment. It was just a cleaning when I made the appointment I told whoever I spoke to what needed to be done and when we got there he went back by himself which I was always in the room and he ALWAYS seen by Dr John. After ow as told the same thing I was told a year ago and I was given the information to call Saint Christopher’s to make an appointment to have a consultation then have to make another appointment for the dental surgery my needed to cap his cavities because they only did laughing gas and he needed to be put completely under. The appointment was June 21 I have called Saint Christophers 5 times and left messages each time and still have not gotten a call back for an appointment.
This Team is great and they work miricules with teeth. I am extremely happy with their service. My children been coming since they where toddlers and Dr Del Gaiso, Pat , Florence, and all the staff are really fantastic!!!!! Dr Neil has a lot to live up too lol just kidding he is great!!!!
This dentist is the best .The staff and the Doc is Amazing. They are great with little babies and teenagers. I took my kids to many dentists before and they was soscared of the Doc and thesurroundings. But they make youfeel right at home and safeI would recommend this dentist to anyone theyre GREAT
This was my first experience at Dr. Johns office and it was delightful to watch how well Dr. John was so thorough when examining my 3 year old mouth. I wish I could give 10 stars To all Moms and Dads who is looking for a great Dentist for your children please I encourage you to make an appointment with Dr. John you will be educated on how to maintain your little ones healthy teeth. This is Roberta Jaiden mommy. We can’t wait to return in 6 months Thank you to the front desk girls all was so pleasant:)
I highly recommend Dr. Johns. As a general dentist office, our office often refers patients to their practice. All the doctors are extremely talented and our patients always return highly satisfied with the work they do. I take great pride in caring for my patients and I can attest that the doctors are honest and genuinely care about the patients we send to them . They always collaborate with patients on the best treatment that works for them!
My family has previously loved this dental office. My daughter looks forward to going to the dentist because of how great these dentists have been with her. Unfortunately, whoever runs the business side of the office has obliterated my trust and Ill never be taking my daughter back. Their COVID-19 precautions are NOT ACCEPTABLE. This morning my daughter and I were crammed into a small waiting room with at least 30 other people. Their staff didnt always keep their masks on properly and they were running way behind schedule (as usual, which under normal circumstances I dont mind), so we were all sitting together in that small space for over an hour. This office, like many others was closed for 2 months and had that time to make their office safe for COVID, but they clearly didnt put much effort into it. Theres one tiny sign, but nothing else reminding people of the rules. This dental office services a community that includes a broad range of socio-economic families, they should have a drawer of properly fitting adult and childrens masks for families who come in wearing clearly ineffective masks. They should allow us to wait in cars or outside and text us when its our appointment time. They should not be crowding people into small spaces. When I addressed all of this with a person who never identified herself but had the name tag Sunshine I was told that if I was uncomfortable I was welcome to leave and find a new dentist. What a horrific attitude for a healthcare provider to have in the face of a global pandemic. What a cavalier attitude towards the lives of patients, neighbors, and staff. I KNOW that this can be done better, because my own dentist does it! I have had to go in for two dental procedures that could not wait and my adult dentist took fantastic precautions and I felt very safe and like they took everything very seriously. Its entirely possible for them to do better here, they just dont want to, and frankly thats disgusting to me.
Ive taken both my girls here ever since they were 3... and they never disappoint. Once or twice, the waiting time was a bit too much but the overall experience was great. My girls are now 7 and 10 and they still go here. Havent had a Problem besides the wait time. I am taking both girls and my 2 year old( his first time) for a cleaning and check up this end of the month. Will update on the next appointment soon. :))
Finally found the best pediatric dentists in Philly! After trying 2 other dentists in town, Im never taking my daughter anywhere else. Practice is very well run and they always make my family feel right at home. Now were also going to Dr. Neil for braces and couldnt be happier with the outstanding service and treatment my daughter receives. Extremely trustworthy. A++
My boys have been going to Dr. John since my 1st son was two, (14yrs). I can not say a bad word about this office. I absolutely love everyone who works there. I wish my son could have got his braces there but he got them on b4 we had ortho there. I recommend everyone i know to go there. All the ppl there are extremely friendly.
Dr. Johns Pediatric Dental Team has the most sedulous people working together to provide the best care for their patients. They treat patients like family and they work diligently, every day, to ensure quality service. As an intern there for six week, I saw with my naked eyes that they go above and beyond with what they do. There would be morning meetings, where everyone in Ortho gathers together, to talk about parents concerns and new ideas/plans to formulate a smoother and faster transition from one patient to the next, so patients do not have to wait as long to be seen by a doctor. There would be a private one on one discussion with Dr. Neil and Mr. Chuck to tackle any uncertainties, concerns and questions parents have. They also personalize slides and create individual folders for each patient so when parents come in, they have a visual screen to look at. On the screen would be pictures of their childs teeth from five unique angles so when Dr. Neil and Mr. Chuck goes over information with parents everything is easily understood and clear.I enjoyed my internship there and I was very comfortable with the atmosphere they provide. I strongly recommend Dr. Johns Pediatric Dental Team to my family, friends, love ones and everyone I know.-Annie (Intern)
Granted, they always have a packed waiting room full of patients, however, that speaks to the quality and demand of Dr. John and his teams expertise. If their service wasnt good, the waiting room wouldnt be full, correct? In my experience, this dental office is worth the wait. Heres why:My daughter had to get braces, & I was nervous because I never had them, and couldnt explain from a standpoint of personal experience if they would hurt, if so, how much would they hurt, what foods would she no longer be able to eat, how long would she have to wear them etc., etc. This office was different in that they set time aside for me (the parent) to ask questions in order to feel more confident and comfortable with the plan of action that was to begin my childs future dental/Ortho plan. Im a curious, but more honestly, a hovering parent, and I need to know ALL the details before agreeing to extractions, and moving teeth around etc. The team here was more than willing to hear my questions and concerns, & put my wandering mind at ease.My childs orthodontic treatment plan is currently in the beginning stages, & I know that we will have many more visits down the road. However, I am confident that Dr. John Del Gaiso and his team will make every effort to help ease our trepidation, so we can receive the best results & most beautiful smile! Thanks so much Dr. John, Dr. Neil, & Chuck (the Ortho coordinator, who I consider to be my own personal therapist---allowed me to vent when the doctors were busy lol).Great team, greater service!!! Highly recommend.
My son appointment at 9:30am still waiting to 10:30am .. staffs check in not nice (very bad service)..unbelievable..asking me want to wait or reschedule.. no clean paper on the chair when next kid services. .also no parking when come late will wait very longtime or reschedule.. dont need to be nice to staffs when they not be nice to you.. 2022-06-16My sons lower teeth had a small decay. The dentist put a cap on the tooth very gently. Sedation was used by giving a small amount of liquid, and he was a little sleepy for around ten to fifteen minutes only. But he was already up and about after the lower tooth filling. It was definitely a job very well done.

2021-12-29Absolutely horrific experience. Avoid this practice at all costs, Dr. John retiring left this place in absolute shambles they will hire anyone and don’t care how these dentists interact with the children. My 6 year old developed an extreme fear of dentists because of how they treated her during her last exam. After showing some initial signs of anxiety/being nervous (wiggling in the chair and verbally saying she was scared) instead of my child being comforted or someone coming to get a parent my child was threatened by the dentist. She was told to sit still and be quiet or the dentist was going to have to hurt her or maybe use the drill. What kind of pediatric dentist would threaten a child, especially one that is clearly already nervous!!! I am still livid about my experience here and it was months ago!!!
