Waiting time to get photo taken 5 mins, waiting time to hand in paper work for the new Real ID was less than 5 mins, must have gone a good time 12/14/18 between 12:30 and 1 pm. All the staff that help me out today was more than outstanding, pleasant, great moods. Thank you all for the fast and great service that I received today!
The overall experience was very fast, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. If I have to go to a DMV, I will definitely return to this one.
I know the DMV is not anyones favorite place and its always going to be busy. We had an appointment for a drivers test that we were 10 minutes early for, but we waited in the car line for 30 minutes before it was our turn, and then the guy giving the test literally yelled at us for not being 15 minutes early per the books instructions. He was RUDE to me, he was extremely rude to my daughter during her test. Thats not necessary. Maybe its okay if you fail a person for something picky (which I would not have done that way myself after 30 years of driving), but I cant help it if you hate your job - DONT TAKE IT OUT ON PEOPLE. Ive never complained about an employee like this, but I couldnt let this one go.
Waiting over 3 hours just to get my picture taken! The place was packed full of people and no place to sit down. Not to mention no available parking spots and some guy there yells at you for parking in the grass. Also my ticket said theres 7 people ahead of me, there was more than that! Worst dmv ever. Ill never go back. Also the hours there are horrible!
The guy at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. My visit on 10/9/20 was probably the most pleasant DMV visit Ive ever had. Definitely recommend this place over any other DMV in the area.

I got a replacement id card and it only took me about 20 minutes. The lady was extremely nice and even gave my son a lollipop. I went on a saturday and it was pretty packed. I was surprised how quick they got me in and out.
Has anyone taking their driving test within the last month or so. My daughter takes hers on Friday. Seeing what they all do. I heard just parallel parking. Any tips would be great. Thank you in advance
Staff is professional and helpful here. Was here twice in 1 month for 2 of my children and both times they were extremely busy but the line went fast because they have a very good system to help customers. Hours are limited throughout the week though thats the only drawback to this place.
This location is only fully staffed a couple days of the week. I recommend doing as much as you can online, then only heading in to the office to, say, get your picture taken with the camera card already in your possession.Wouldnt be a bad idea to call ahead and make sure someones around, either.
Call to see what paperwork I need for last name change and lady didnt know so I am back on hold for another 30min so get someone that knows. How do you work there and not know basic stuff about where you work.
Jim failed me for my drivers test because i was turning left at a stop light and a car was going straight and because he told me not to turn left when I wasn’t even planning to turn to he failed me because he had to “intervene”. he could have kept his mouth shut and I wouldn’t have turned anyway. overall a rude and unhappy person.
Horrible and absolutely bias manager tells u you get something u finally get it go back to penndott then the same manger says the letter is not good enough but he was the one who told me to get it

They need to find more people to work and have better hours they are open. Make everyone know about papers that are needed for ceartain license applications. Dont just have photo center open and those people know nothing about applications
Jim is the absolute worst. He is very mean, unfriendly and down right rude. Acted like we were was wasting his time. He needs to remember that some people have feelings and he is not helping the situation by being rude and Obnoxious. I really hope he sees this and realizes that maybe it’s time to retire.
As busy as bussiness are & all covia goin on this was fast, courtesy & very helpful woman workin the door! Will always use this DMV over Mercer.
No one knew to be quiet will people are testing its bull. They yell and talk louder then when you ask them to be quiet they get louder!

This place cant even figure out when theyre open. Website says theyre open Tuesday through saturday, yet they are closed this Saturday for veterans day... Which is on Monday... Which they arent even open on Mondays anyway.. and to think its a government facility to boot
My daughter went for her driving test and Jim failed her because a car pulled out in front of her and she had to stop quick. Said she needed to be more cautious.

Great customer service. They helped me through getting my first ID and were very helpful and understanding.
PennDot is the short for this location and is the primary building for drivers licenses and other services.The online guidance is very confusing. Im also not sure how the State doesnt take cash. It was a very long wait indicating insufficient staff on the drivers license side. The process is not easy either.

The workers are absolute morons and do not know how to manage a business i waited an hour and 45 minutes when my ticket said one customer ahead of you and when i was up they would let me take my test because i didnt have my glasses

The hours listed online do not reflect the actual hours that this place is open. I tried getting a license here but gave up and got one super quick in Cleveland, Ohio.
Went here to transfer my out of state license only to find out penn dot wasn’t going to be there that day. Nothing to tell me online that this was the case.

They need a professional person who atleast knows what they are doing. They never have any information. All they do is sit there and call Harrisburg office for every enquiry. Very frustated.
Takes 2 hours to get a permit test and changed the prices of the renew depending upon whom you ask. ask around the extension should cost 5 bucks.
Was attempting to take my permit test with a sign that clearly states quiet people are testing so the staff just desides to have a full blown conversation loudly.

2021-10-09Says open on Saturday… the website says it’s open; calling the customer service automated phone system says it’s open… there’s a sign on the of that says it supposed to be open… guess what? It’s not open!!! (Photo take today) oh and by the way, Mercer is supposed to be open but guess what? They are closed too!!!

2021-10-27We went this location today and we provided all the documents still theyre saying its not showing in system and all. very disappointed about the staff and lady who works outside. she even did not know what is status about she just said we cant do thats so wired never go to this location again. they should get some lesson or read their job duties books so nobody has to deal with ego peoples.

2021-10-14Jim is an absolute douche. I got into a little crash toward the end of the test, and im not going to blame that on anyone else but myself. But when I started to have an anxiety attack because of the crash, he had the nerve to say I was FAKING! Just because you hate your job and have a miserable life doesnt mean youve gotta take it out on people. The woman in the car with me was extremely rude too. Overall terrible experience.

2020-07-23Service was great when I went here for my driver’s test. The tester was a nice guy and the whole process was extremely fast. They did the paperwork, administered my test, and printed my license in only a half hour. Normally DMVs are very slow, but this place is on top of it. Highly recommend it if you want to save time.

2021-08-10Only in new Castle Pa.If youve seen the muppets with the two old men in the theater lol.Theses two ladies have been there since Penn dot opened but they get you through quick Kudos girls
