Best place ever! I went in looking for some saltwater fish, but they didnt carry any. However, they provided me with directions to that fish place, which carries them. I will definately be back for some more aquarium decor! Super friendly staff that answered all of my questions and offered plenty of advice. I will be back soon!
Every member of the staff at the Avondale store are very nice and always very helpful. And the store is always clean and organized.
We come in the store once or twice a week for feeder fish mostly but also cat and dog food or other supplies. We always have a great experience. Special shout out to Rihannon who always has a smile and happily greets and helps customers.. 10/10 recommend going here definitely wont get the Walmart experience from them.

Unfortunately at present there is a shortage of certain pet products so your selection may be limited. They staff are very helpful and courteous. Someone always offers to help carry anything that is heavy...especially kitty litter. I go there because it is convenient and because of the help I receive from the staff.
I absolutely love this shop! They have an excellent pet wash station & pre-pay discount plan. The selection of food items have great quality and prices; and the staff members are always friendly & helpful.
No problem of finding what you need. And if not staff is always ready to help.

Five stars wouldve been,,very small selection on exotic and domestic would be pets,,,,staff when asked has ok knowledge on selections,wheelchair accessible,,good parking,, dont know,,,just would like to see more pets and larger feed for Guinea pigs,,,chews,,,for chinchillas,,great selection for dogs and cats,,you forgot the little guys.

This is a great local pet store. They price match Amazon!! Their selection is excellent as well, although they short stock some more niche items. The employees are friendly and always willing to help too, which never hurts. While their supply and selection of goods may not be as broad as a PetSmart or something, the better service and willingness to order you anything you need more than makes up for it.
While the location on 202 is good as well, this location truly raises the bar as far as excellent customer service and a dependable team. They know their regular customers well, cater to the needs of their clientele, and are incredibly accommodating. The store is always clean, the layout is sensible, and they are always appreciative of feedback.
Great price for the self-service dog wash, and a good selection of items. Sometimes have pretty good sales, too. The staff are very friendly and helpful.However, there are 2 reasons why I am giving only a 3-star review. The first is that the dog wash area is not fully enclosed. It would be much better if there was a door (even a half-door like at Pet Valu) to the wash area to make sure that your bath-averse dog cant escape. The second reason (and main reason) is that they should really rethink their approach to the fish section. Every time I have gone, most of the tanks have had at least one dead fish in it - often several. The fish are also sometimes mislabeled and in the wrong tanks.If you are looking to buy fish, you are much better off just making the drive to That Pet Place or the Downingtown Petsmart (which actually has a very good aquatics section, surprisingly.)
Jenna and the staff are THE BEST! My boys are happy and healthy as a result of the expert advice and customer care. They even like the wash station! 5 washes for $25, (I bring the dirty boys and they supply EVERYTHING else) That’s what I call a no-brainer!Thanks Jenna for the recent dog food education. I love this store! I have a bird named Tiki, and he loves the stuff I get for him from there. I love the variety of colored birds there, because large chains usually just have the most common and average colors. But I find that the store doesn’t have a wide range of small bird toys and perches
Horrid I was just in here getting crickets for my bearded dragon and I go see the reptiles and theres a bearded dragon starving and there was no water in its bowl.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews because I have bought many fish, shrimp, plants and supplies from here and are a nice group of people to deal with. I must warn you about their fish though. As of late (and several times before), they have had a serious amount of ick problems and are usually good about stating that fact and posting a sign that they aren’t for sale. I bought some neon tetras yesterday after being told the ick was cured. After releasing them and turning on my tank light this morning, it was very obvious the fish I purchased were indeed covered in ick and took certain precautions that my healthy fish weren’t affected. I did not quarantine them as I should have. That’s my fault but I wanted to caution anyone buying fish here to be super careful. They are taking measures to refund me for my purchase. This is a really nice shop to go to and is also a convenient location for me but I thought I needed to make this known. I know they will get back to their quality in fish.

One of the few pet supplies store in the area where you can get mice and other live feeders quickly and affordably. Animals on display appear to be in good condition and store, as expected, has a great deal of pet supplies available for purchase. Employees are kind and reliable.
They had a good selection of overpriced cat food while i was trying to get a cats skin condition under control i did struggle to find what i was looking for. My daughter asked an employee for help and she never got around to helping us they were a bit busy at the time.
Got my dogs vaccinated, bathed, treats, and food in one stop. Staff very helpful and gave my puppies some loving, too! ❤
Came in to utilize the VIP Pet Care Clinic to get both my dogs there shots. It was so much better now that they do this more often. No more huge long lines & very convenient.

Gotta love the Dirty Dog discount.This place is great for your pets. On Saturday they have a pet walk in clinic. They have a self serve pet wash for $10 every day. Get the Dirty Dog card and its $5 for five washes.
The staff here is great! Friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend instead of petsmart or petco.

The bathe your own pet station is fantastic! I dont like how the give you crickets though. When the scoop them out all of the grossness at the bottom comes with it. Other places knock them into the funnel from the egg crates so its way less messy.

My favourite sales girl, Alexis is revolted by feeder crickets. Despite this, she heroically dives into the tank to fetch the fourty I get twice per week to feed my three hungry frogs. Alexis demonstrates immense courage collecting disgusting crickets. They sense her fear and jump at her aggressively in an attempt to break her and send her awsy screaming in terror. Even when I mentioned that crickets have stingers and their mandibles could crack walnuts, she was undeterred. This sales person performs above and beyond the call of duty. My frogs are grateful and so am I. Thank you Alexis.

2021-08-15We literally just came in for some cat supplies for a new cat that unfortunately didn’t work out so we returned some items. I kept the tent and a bed for my current cat. I only got one employee’s names, which was Ethan, but they were all super nice and helpful. Here’s a picture of my current cat Dooku who is gonna really love his new tent. :)

2022-03-17I have been to Pet Supplies Plus in Avondale twice. Once I went in to pick up fresh food that they held for me. This last time I did curb side pick up. Both times I was treated very well. I was helped extremely quick on my first visit, and my wait for the curb side pick up was very short (less than three minutes)! Impressive!Currently with pet food shortages Pet Supplies Plus has been a life saver!Thank you for having the only dog food my dog will eat (FreshPet)!!

2021-11-03I was impressed by the knowledge of the team members about several different products that I inquired about purchasing. I was also pleased that the store was clean and well stocked. Lastly, the live animal cages were clean and the fish tanks were being maintained properly. Prices were fair and comparable to other Pet Supply stores so I will be going back for items as needed.

2021-11-25One star for wide variety of items for different pets.Another for the convenience of being within 2 miles of my home.They get -3 stars for poor Customer service and representative etiquette:Sunday 11/21/21 was my very first time in the store since we added a pup to our home.The store is conveniently located so I hoped to make it my home pet store.However, upon entering I asked 2 reps that were by the entrance for guidance into the isles that had the products I was looking for.The store was not busy during my visit so I hoped for a bit more customer service but one said if you dont see what you are looking for in the next isle go to the next... And they went back to their non business conversation that was obviously more important than a new client.So, I wondered and got familiar with the store and their dog products.I graved a started package for my pup: treats (very good selection), food, training mats, toys, bed, sweaters (the cutest holiday inspired).Im a new dog owner but their prices seemed reasonable and I love to support small local business.After collecting more Items than I though I would get the excitement to get home and show my kid and our dog took over and forgot about the poor customer service upon entering the store.But the register girl.... OMGShe was so rude and unfriendly.some items in my cart were marked for sale but the discounted price didnt display.I mentioned it to her and she rolled her eyes and said I needed a membership and gave me a blank stare.So I had to do her job for her and ask her if she could start one for me.I dont think she wanted to, so she did it with an attitude while asking me for my personal info while using her very unpleasant tone.Im a paying customer and did not appreciate being treated that way.The store is conveniently located so I know Ill end up going in when I need something on the fly, but sadly it will not be my home-go-to pet shop.Here is to hoping that they were not racially profiling me and that other new customers have a better experience.
