HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Its been about 6 months since I started Invisalign treatment and my teeth are practically perfect! The staff at Philly Dentistry have been a tremendous help making sure everything goes smoothly and comfortably along my journey. Best decision Ive ever made!
I came in for a free consolation which was extremely helpful and informative. Shortly after I ended up getting a cleaning. Everyone from the receptionist to the dental hygienist were very welcoming. The hygienist Sara was very professional, pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. She and Dr. Jeon took the time to listen and fill me in on any concerns and problems I was experiencing. I left with a satisfying feeling that I was getting the care I needed and the service I received was well worth it. Thank You!
Great experience! Everyone at the office was very friendly and professional from the moment I arrived. Dr. Ridge was thorough and also very friendly. He didnt seem rushed like other dentists I have been to before. He and his assistant went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable while my work was being completed. Definitely recommend!
My experience was seamless. The scheduling staff was able to accommodate my academic calendar and be flexible in the scheduling process. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth the first time was diligent, thoughtful, and provided great insight into how to maximize the benefits of my nightguard and prevent cavities when drinking tea. Additionally, the cavity filling was also pain free and extremely effective aside from my initial squirming on the chair. Since I lost my credit card and also did not have the social security number of my father, the front desk staff even offered to call my insurance to verify the dental plan. Philadelphia Dentistry offers personalized service and individualized patient care. I will definitely be making them my regular office when studying in Pennsylvania.
I honestly had such a good experience here. The hygienist was super nice and explained everything going on very well which made me feel very at ease. Then the dentist came and was also really nice and explained a procedure I would need. Overall I had a really good time here. This was my first time scheduling and going to a dentist on my own and the staff here made it really easy and enjoyable. Definitely recommend to students in the area or anyone in general looking for a good place to get dental work.
Philadelphia Dentistry is a wonderful dental health care group. They are about building good communication and relationships with their clientele. They talk with you like you are neighbors, while maintaining professional and good costumer service. The dental care experience from my juvenile years to young adult parenting unfortunately holds vivid traumatic memories. I began to view this experience has a very necessary evil (SORRY) for me and my family’s well being. Good oral hygiene and regular doctor care is as essential to your overall health, if not more so, as regular physical check-ups…really check it out, you’ll be surprised at how your oral health affects your body function.Anyway, I am a new patient at this practice, along with my family, and their approach to dentistry is helping to create a real caregiver/patient connection for us. Everyone involved with our care is accommodating and concerned with our well being. So far, I am very pleased with this dental care group, and looking forward to years of awesome smiles.Thank You!
Every individuals I interacted with was professional. My concerns were listened to and addressed. Both Jen, hygienist and Dr Ridge, dentist, discussed the treatment plan in details and gave me confidence that I was getting what I needed not what would generate the most money for the practice (unlike another dentist office in Center City). Finally, I was surprised to hear that the thorough exam and the X-rays were free. Fantastic first impression.
I visited this office a few weeks ago for a Zoom teeth whitening in preparation for my wedding and my experience was AMAZING. Not only did they find me an appointment within the week, they actually called me back a day later and squeezed me into an even earlier time slot so I didn’t have to stress in the days leading up to my wedding. The offices were spotless and the staff was so friendly. A special thanks to Alyssa, who held back my hair and comforted me during the molding session while I was hurking/dry heaving/crying panic tears like a freshman at her first college party.I cannot recommend this office enough and I will absolutely be back!
There are no words to describe how WONDERFUL my experience with Dr. Ridge and his assistant Malikah was. Dr. Ridge has a deep desire to provide the best possible dental care for his patients and he takes the time to explain every procedure that needs to be done. He is very caring and his main goal is to produce great oral hygiene while being committed to satisfying his patients. Dr. Ridge told me what work needed to be done in order of importance. There is no other dentist I would go to or recommend! Also, the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Today was my first dental cleaning after many years of not visiting the dentist. Philly Dentistry’s team made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Cirka and my hygienist Lisa got me back to health and educated me for how to maintain it going forward. I would highly recommend this office to anyone but especially to people who have dental anxiety. 10/10! Thank you all. I am looking forward to coming back.
Hands down the best Philly has to offer. I went in for my first visit last week after chipping my tooth on vacation. The entire staff was extremely comforting and gave me the best treatment they had to offer, as I was adamant on leaving with a tooth. Not to mention they are very affordable and discuss every possible payment option best suitable for their patients. I have no complaints; I only wish I found them sooner! Super friendly and very clean. Thank you all for a wonderful service, especially Malikah and Dr. Ridge!
So what can I say about Philadelphia Dentistry?Let’s begin with the basics. Customer service is super important. The receptionist was very professional and kind on the phone with the initial consultation. All of my questions were answered and I was directed to the correct party without delay!Once my appointment was set up, I was given the correct directions to access the building. I’m a Philly native but operating downtown Center City can be hectic at times! The girls made it very easy with directions getting to the location and walked me through step by step to get in. The girls working at the front desk are very fun and professional which is a relief. Normally you think about the dentist and you think creepy lights, old files and old guys with lab coats! NOT HERE! It’s not archaic at all! The very opposite! The entire office is upbeat and welcoming!I was greeted once inside, due to the mask requirement I couldn’t see the very thing that I came in for (teeth) but I’m sure behind the mask were huge smiles! Everyone was attentive when I walked in. Water was accessible which is a plus for me because as a Nurse, I’m most likely dehydrated half the time.Steven in the financial department was super helpful in making recommendations for my unique billing options! Dr.Ridge is amazing and very personable. He made no hesitation with introducing himself, very professional and he knows his stuff! Jen is the absolute best! Each time that I’ve seen her she has been more than average! She’s very fun, very knowledgeable! She literally bought my mouth back to life! She educated me on the difference between tartar and plaque, gave great recommendations about mouth care! She took the time to show me things on Amazon for post office dental care. She gave me great recommendations for the after care to maintain my dental hygiene! We were able to laugh and get work done which made my appointment even easier. She used a great tasting anesthetic, which sounds counterproductive, but it’s true! My gums were inflamed and overall I need a lot of work done but I trust them to guide me in the right direction, with the professionalism, the great atmosphere and the work ethics? Not to forget with the GREAT results thus far? I will definitely make this my dental home and will refer anyone to come here!I’ve had multiple appointments with this office and each time has been more pleasant than the last! I have no complaints with coming here! I will be back soon!
The staff and doctors at this office are so friendly and make you feel so comfortable! I was very nervous for my first appointment as it’s been awhile since my last cleaning and I had a broken retainer. The second I sat in the chair all the nerves went away. Dr.Ridge is so nice and answered any questions I had! He explained all different options for me and the reasoning to make sure I chose what was best for me financially. I walked out feeling much more confident with going to the dentist because of this great staff from the front desk to hygienists to the doctors, everyone is SO welcoming!
Good service but felt like I got up sold. Gave me services above what I needed, knowing my insurance would only cover a certain amount. Be aware that this provider will ask for payment up front and file a claim later. Don’t be surprised walking in if you get screwed later
The best dental care I have ever experienced. Philadelphia Dentistry is a great place that will take care of your teeth. The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it was extremely professional. The team was very gentle with examinations and providing solutions. I felt that I was in good hands. All the staff is very nice. They explained very well what was going on. Overall just a fantastic experience.
I received a few fillings and porcelain veneers at Philadelphia Dentistry. I had a wonderful experience. The staff was overall friendly, professional and pretty understanding. I really appreciated the dental assistant named Jenaya and Dr. Ridge. They made me feel comfortable and the process felt smoother regarding my veneers. I would definitely recommend Philadelphia Dentistry to anyone who is looking for a new dentist or who needs dental work done properly and efficiently!
Went to Philadelphia Dentistry based on the good reviews and thought it would be a good place to go to now that I live in Center City. My hygienist was very nice and incredibly gentle with the cleaning and x-rays. BUT then the dentist comes in for the exam and with just a little poking around states I need 4 fillings. 2 of them would have been 3 surface and the other 2 would have been 2 surface. I was quoted $1500 for the work. I decided not go ahead and schedule the procedure right then and there because I was suspicious of needing so many filling after never having any problems and the hygienist even stating how clean my teeth are and that the cleaning would just be light. I went back to the dentist that I went to all my life (not in Center City) for a second opinion. They looked at my X-rays and concluded no work needs done. There was one small spot on one tooth that is of no concern at this time and even possible to stop further progression with good hygiene. I hate to make assumptions but this office seems very aggressive - and maybe some people like that - but I dont want work done on my teeth unless it is actually needed and certainly not at a price tag of $1500. I cancelled my 6 month cleaning with Philadelphia Dentistry and will not be going back.
Sarah and Jenaya and Dr. Mimi were all wonderful. They were súper communicative about what they were doing and helped make the work they did as comfortable as possible. It was clear that they are all dedicated to helping patients have good dental health and make me want to be a better tooth owner. They also were all super friendly. It was a great dental experience- which isn’t easy to find :)
Today was my first visit at the office. The ladies at the front desk are very kind and welcoming! Dr Ridge was very nice and explained my treatment plan very thoroughly. He also answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable and excited to move forward with treatment. Stephen Ruiz, the deputy treatment coordinator, is funny and has a great personality! He thoroughly explained my financing options and answered all my questions. I love the fact that I don’t have to wait long for appointments. I can be seen within a week or two and that multiple appointments can be set at the day of your visit, other offices make you wait until you come back to set the next appointment, which results in longer treatment times. I also was seen quickly and wasn’t sitting in the waiting room forever. Great music in the office as well. I’m very happy I found this office!
Ive gone to Philly Dentistry for over 12 years and have always been happy with my treatment. The staff (especially the dental hygienists) is knowledgable, friendly, and on time. Scheduling and financial problems have always been handled easily and professionally, I would recommend Philly Dentistry if you are looking for a dental practice!
I have been going to this office for dental check ups and dental work since I moved to Philly in 2014. They are always on-time, quick to get in and out, and have kind staff. Plus I like that they text you to remind you of appointments. I would recommend for anyone looking for a reliable place.
So far, I’ve had four visits to Philadelphia Dentistry and I can definitely say the positive feedback is warranted. They provide warm care, eases anxiety, very affirmative, and answer any questions you may have in person, by phone, and via email! I actually look forward to going to the dentist and I am happy that I found them!
I found this dentistry online. I had Alyssa do my cleaning, and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, patient, friendly and gentle. Everything went quick and smooth, and better than expected. She was also gentle with the x-rays and placing the hard plastic pieces in my mouth. Most people are rough and impatient. Afterwards, Dr. J saw me to review and we planned to do whitening as a follow up.
I chose this office after my husband had a pleasant experience. I also had a great experience. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with my hygienist, Alyssa! What stood out to me in terms of care was: they did an oral cancer exam. I have only had one other doctor in my life do this for me! This was also the most educational office I have ever been to where they show you exactly what is happening to your teeth and why. Then they have individualized recommendations for improving your oral health. I was impressed by the knowledge of Alyssa, she went over everything the doctor covered with me, so I got it twice!
Philly Dentistry is an amazing dental office. The entire staff was so kind and knowledgeable. It was such a clean, welcoming environment and I’m so glad Cait from their team shared their page so I was able to find out about them! All of my questions and concerns were thoroughly answered and I left feeling confident and happy with all of their services.
This is my “To be continued” from my first review below:ZERO stars after three visits. Before I even returned home from my first visit my credit card was charged IN FULL for my dental plan beginning the following month! $4,000 for four replacement fillings and 1 crown. I have dental insurance but I have to chase down the reimbursement; which I’m still doing. The work was completed in one, two hour visit. I was in immediate, unnecessary pain when the Novocain wore off because of the ill-fitting temporary crown. I was in sensitivity agony for weeks waiting for the permanent replacement. I called repeatedly for a sooner appt so I could get right in as soon as it was ready. In the meantime, something didn’t feel right about the plan ahead for replacing bonding on my front teeth. They told me it would be better to have them all crowned instead of replacing the simple bonding on 4 front teeth for the fee of $6000.00 I reached out to my dentist that I’ve been going to for years and he said crowns are unnecessary and my teeth would have to be sanded down to accommodate crowns instead of just applying a bonding sealant over my healthy teeth. (Bonding was put on for protection many years ago)Jump ahead to now: MY CROWN CAME OFF on Thanksgiving so I waited until the day after the holiday to call for help. They were still closed for the holiday but direct emergencies to email Dr Cirka if needed. I emailed Dr Cirka and requested an appt for as soon as they return. I wanted to feel better about having an appointment set to address this atrocity. I also let him know how unhappy I was since I just had a $4000 FULL exam and work completed a few weeks ago and shouldn’t be having this type of problem. I wanted him to put as much urgency on this as he did with booking and billing my dental plan! His big show of concern and the resolution he gave me was to call the office when they reopen next week or call the recommended support dentist for a sooner appt!!!How’s that for an urgent response? The moral of the story is they are very sales aggressive, dollar driven and the work is inefficient. The lack of concern (from Dr Cirka himself) for a resolution to a pretty substantial issue is very telling. Although my problem was urgent, I was only asking him to set an appoint in the near future! Apparently that must’ve been too much. I’ll travel from Center City back to NJ until I can get a consult with a real dentist in Rittenhouse Square that puts more of an emphasis on care as well as profit. It’s easy to give good care when everything is fine. The true story presented itself hereFive stars for FIRST VISIT! Can’t wait to come back and post another five stars when my dental treatments are done. Each step was completed efficiently and with excellent customer service. The hygienist, (Sara I think) reviewed my concerns and options so thoroughly that the Dr just had to repeat everything she already told me. The Dr was awesome too. Good vibes all around from front desk, to exam, to check out and finally to the dreaded billing w Stephen. I also love that I can have my preventive, restorative and cosmetic all in one place. Not dreading my next dental visit. To be continued…a
This has honestly been the best experience Ive ever had at a dentist in my life!!! Everyone was SO friendly, from the second I walked in I felt so welcomed. Alyssa cleaned my teeth and she was amazing, the doctor was super nice, everyone worked so efficiently and made it a really great experience overall. Plus, I got to get my teeth cleaned to throw back Britney Spears and Backstreet boys! It was a great way to start off the day, highly recommend!!!
Worst management ever. I was told while making an appointment they are in network when I made the appointment but later after performing services I came to know that it is out of network. The charge was too high and I paid out of pocket. Ridiculous experience, I’ll never recommend this place.
So I went here on Friday for an emergency appointment. They got me in within 24 hours and if I hadn’t lived so far from the office it would have been the same day I called. Let me say I am completely petrified of dentist.. like panic attacks and all but they were so understanding and kind to my situation. Dr. Ridge was absolutely amazing, he made me feel so much better being there. He really eased my concerns and fears about the dentist so much so that I actually made an appointment to go and start restoring my smile that I’ve hated my whole life but couldn’t because of my severe phobia. The treatment coordinator, Stephen Ruiz was amazing as well. He helped me setup payment plans and told me all of my options for payments. Without both of them I’d never be able to start the process of fixing my teeth that I’ve wanted for so long. For the 1st in my life I’m actually looking forward to a dentist appointment!!!! Thank you all so much for your kindness and understanding. Everyone was absolutely amazing and welcoming. If you are really afraid of the dentist, as I am, I 100% recommend going here. You will be so happy you did
Amazing staff! Seriously, everyone in that office is extremely welcoming and friendly. They make it very obvious that they care about you. Dr. Cirka really knows his stuff-- he explained everything in detail and really put me at ease. I felt so relieved leaving, as I finally found the right dentistry for me!
After years of avoiding the dentist, I finally decided to be an adult and go in for a cleaning. My sister recommended Philadelphia Dentistry and I am so glad she did! I enjoy my visits so much I now go 3xannually and my smile has never looked better (nor has it ever EVER been this healthy). This practice makes things so painless, you’d think you were visiting a spa - and this is not an exaggeration. I’ve completed Invisalign, had whitening treatments, filled cavities, and have visited for countless cleaning. My husband now trusts his mouth health to these amazing experts and he’s never been happier about making the switch to this group.
I have had a Phenomenal Experience with Philadelphia Dentistry and would Highly recommend them! During the initial COVID shut down I had to delay my procedure which left me with some discomfort. Where as most places would not have cared because the situation was out of their control, the team at Philadelphia dentistry (Including My dentist!) actually checked in on me and were genuinely concerned about my well being. When I finally went back to complete my procedure I was met with warm regards, genuine empathy, and compassion from each member of the team. If you want a high quality experience with grade A customer service I would Highly recommend Philadelphia Dentistry.
The best dentists in Philadelphia are at the office of Dr. Ken Cirka. Their staff is bar non the most professional, caring, friendly and knowledgeable that I’ve experienced at any dental office. My dentist Dr. Evan Ridge it’s outstanding and my #1. If you want the best people and the nicest, you must go to Dr. Cirka office!
I dont normally post reviews but feel compelled to in this case since my experience sounds eerily similar to several other 1 star reviews and I think the only way this office is rated so highly is through false reviews. (i) Starting with actual treatment, in 3 different appointments, I was seen by 3 different dentists. Each dentist identified several cavities and recommended aggressive treatment. Im thankful that Im cautious about drilling away my teeth however, because each visit resulted in different sets of cavities identified, and each one invalidated recommendations from the prior visit. One even said that the cavities they recommended filling aggressively on the prior visit were actually just a shadow (glad I didnt drill away parts of my two front teeth to address that!). (ii) When it comes time for payment, they have a high-pressure sales tactic where they take you into a back-office in a highly unusual and uncomfortable way. (iii) They also demand full payment out of pocket up front while your insurance provider processes the claim and sends you a check, which is inconvenient and atypical, especially if you have an HSA. (iv) And today, I took off time from work to show up to an appointment, only to find that they had cancelled it that morning because I didnt confirm via text message. I hadnt received any text messages! Highly inconvenient, but actually a blessing in disguise to force me to find a real dentist rather than these two-bit hucksters.
They deleted my previous 1 star review. Short and sweet here is my experience.Dentist reads X-rays; “You have 14 cavities.” (No dramatization or exaggeration). Dumbfounded, I said okay and was escorted to Steven, the billing agent, who without hesitation quoted me 4K+ ($350/tooth) plus a $600 mouth guard they “recommended,” that I never agreed to buy. I said thanks have a nice day.Went to my previous family dentist (2 hours out of center city) for a second opinion. He said I have zero cavities, and that maybe one could be filled but he errs on the side of caution as more damage could be made drilling into a tooth that doesn’t require intervention.I came back another 6 months later for ROUTINE CLEANING (just because location is convenient). Same song and dance with the X-rays. Now angered and impatient I told them another dentist said different. They insisted on taking more X-rays this time and after explaining the second opinion another dentist in the practice said “YOU ONLY HAVE 7 CAVITIES”*how can two professionals in the same practice be in such disagreement. Would they have drilled holes in 14 of my teeth if I let them?DELETE MY REVIEW AGAIN AND I WILL GO PUBLIC WITH MY DOCUMENTS FROM YOUR OFFICE STATING PROOF OF THIS INCIDENT
I had a great first visit here. If you are able to afford it, then I would recommend it. Sara was great at making me feel comfortable, discussing what she saw in her procedures, and coming up with a long-term plan to address what was discussed. I look forward to going back! One downside is parking. I had trouble finding the place and because I was running late to my appointment, I ended up parking in a spot that I was not supposed to. My car was towed….I don’t plan on driving there on my next appointments.Keep in mind, this is the first dentist I visit in Philly, so other than a couple of dentists in Puerto Rico that I used to go when I was younger, I don’t really have any other to compare to, but the fact that I am giving it 5 stars and I had to deal with my car getting towed, should tell you enough about my experience.
Ive been a patient here for two years now. Its such a great practice that even when my insurance changed, I couldnt leave them. They are friendly, helpful, and above all wonderfully competent - which honestly is so underrated - and when you find that amazing combo, you dont leave it! Thank you all for helping make life just a little less stressful and keeping my teeth healthy!
Going to the dentist is not something that people typically enjoy doing. The experiences Ive always had at Philadelphia Dentistry are ones that I personally have enjoyed and look forward to having in the future! There is a certain feeling of comfort and warmth that has welcomed me every time I have walked through the door. I can even feel their smiles through their masks! Ive happily referred many of my friends and family to this office for their dental care and will continue to do so. Thanks for the smiles - the ones that I get from you all and the ones that I give to others :)
I had good fortune with finding Philly Dentistry! This was by far the best dental office I have ever visited. The staff is very friendly and warm. You can definitely tell they only hire the best!I was having a lot of pain and required an emergency visit. The staff was willing to accommodate my schedule since I was leaving for school in NY in two days. Dr. Kim was very nice and explained what needed to be done. I felt all the information about the procedure(s) I needed to know was disclosed to me in a nice manner. It was nice to hear all of my treatment options and I felt all of my concerns were heard and dealt with appropriately. All of the dental hygienist that I came into contact with were great! They made me feel safe and took care of all my needs. I would highly recommend this office to anybody looking for a great dental team!
This was such a great experience. Sara is absolutely amazing. She made the time fly by as I dread going to the dentist sometimes. I’m gonna stay with this office for as long as possible. Everyone was sooooo nice from the beginning. There’s even someone specifically for financial stuff who is awesome. They make sure you know exactly what you’ll be paying vs coverage before they do anything. So no hidden random costs. Super easy to make an appointment too
I just went to the dentist this morning after not having been for a few years. I was dreading the visit. After having been, Im thrilled to say that it was an absolutely phenomenal (even enjoyable) experience. Dr. Jeon and her staff were not only experienced and effective, but they were friendly, understanding, and great people to hang out with. Id go back just to chill! Would recommend to anyone.
Ive been going to Philadelphia Dentistry for over 3 years now and I couldnt be happier with the level of service, the attention to detail, and the knowledge they provide throughout each visit. My Dental Hygenist, Jen is fantastic and always is personable and is genuinely interested in how the last 6 months of my life has been. Its rare that you find enjoyment in going to the dentist, but somehow I never mind taking an hour every few months for this group.
WOW! What a wonderful EXPERIENCE.The entire staff at Philadelphia Dentistry are a joy! they are kind, friendly, and make you feel at ease from the get go. Jen my hygienist is a ROCK STAR! We were relating about our favorite Netflix shows and jamming to the sounds of Stevie Nicks, and Britney Spears. Jen is an amazing hygienist with years of experience that made sure that I was comfortable at every moment. Dr Mimi Jeon was so quick and efficient when doing my cavity, and she gave me some much needed validation for handling it well. I never thought I would hear myself say I enjoy going to the dentist office. I am proud to say I DO NOW :) Thanks Philadelphia Dentistry!
Great Experience! Today I walked into the Philadelphia Dentistry Office located at 1601 Walnut St Philadelphia as a new patient. Upon entering the office I was immediately greated with a warm smile and a hello. I was then asked to complete some registration forms on a tablet that took no time at all. I was very impressed with this hospitality. Upon completing the registration forms I met Lisa. It was Lisa that sealed the deal with me within the first 5 minutes of meeting her. Her kindness and transparency with overall concern for me as a patient made me feel comfortable. Lisa treated me as if I was the only patient in the whole entire office. She was very professional and assured me that I was in good hands. After Lisa was done cleaning my teeth the Dr. walked in and introduced herself. Dr. Jeon was equally kind and treated me as if I was her most important patient. Dr. Jeon didnt rush the evaluation and took her time explaining everything I needed to know. I felt like a Star! Hands down this was a 5 plus Star Experience. After the cleaning and the initial checkup it was off to financing. Rich is the Man! First time ever in financing where a person wasnt forceful and was genuinely only concerned about my dental well being. I was giving a some options and the after a few short minutes I was all set. The prices are very inexpensive for the major type of work that I need done and priceless compared to the experience I had. I would suggest this place in a heart beat. Thank you Lisa, Thank you Dr. Jeon, Thank you Rich and Thank you Philadelphia Dentistry as for I look foward to my next visit.
Phenomenal people who perform exceptional dental work. One could go elsewhere for the same care and have a much different experienceNotable people: Sarah, Malikah, and Dr RidgeI went there after a string of negative experiences. I assure you, this office will treat you holistically.
This was my first time coming to Philly Dentistry and I had a great experience. From the start everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. I specifically appreciate Alyssa who was personable, cleaned my teeth with care and offered great home care advice. Really look forward to seeing Dr. Cirka in a few weeks!
This last month been rough for me. Trying to find a good dentist office that could really help me. I found this office and now they have a forever patient! They are so sweet & welcoming. Best service I’ve ever gotten in my life! I highly recommend! Jenaya made me feel so comfortable. I had no worries & my filling looks perfect! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I am blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of this entire staff! From scheduling to all of my appointments, I felt so well taken care of! I had my two front teeth crowned to fix a gap that I had, along with a full gum treatment and Zoom whitening- and I have never felt more confident about my smile! Dr. Cirka did an amazing job, and answered all of my questions. Him & his staff truly put me at ease throughout the entire process. 10/10 would recommend for any cosmetic issues you’re looking to fix!
I came back to Philly Dentistry after going to another In-Network dentist because I loved the work they did for me years ago. I cant say enough good things about the staff, and the results of the work done. Dr Jeon makes you feel like youre in the best care possible. You get the sense that the staff is highly invested in your health and extremely knowledgable, from routine cleanings (thanks Sara) to more involved procedures. Even though theyre out of network for me, the care they provide is second to none and the reason I keep coming back. I would recommend them to anyone looking for dental care.
I would like to echo the sentiments made by Ian Duffy, Kevin Taylor and Adam Martin. Similarly I went to Philadelphia Dentistry based on their glowing reviews. My hygienist Sarah was lovely and efficient. When Dr Mimi Jeon DDS looked at my teeth she claimed I had 4 cavities that needed immediate attention. I was taken into a room by the Coordinator who did everything he could to make me pay $1500 upfront for the treatment and failing that, leave a 50 % deposit. He said insurance would only cover 25%-50%, which I found strange given that the establishment confirmed that they took my insurance. I refused to be coerced into paying for my next treatment as I did not have a good feeling about this dentistry and spoke with the Manager, who is now on maternity leave. She explained that the dentists are NOT in anyones network, which I did not know and apologized for the Coordinators heavy handedness. Long story short, I drove two hours to my original dentist in New York, whom Ive been with for 15 years, she looking into my mouth and said I dont see any cavities. I dont plan to ever go back to Philadelphia Dentistry, there are too many reviews on here where people were advised they needed work when it was false.
The atmosphere is nice my son & myself go to this dentist. I’ve been a client for a few yrs now off & on My hygienist Rachel is the bomb she’s soooooooo nice, kind & sweet she’s abt to have her baby girl welcomed into the world! Rachel Congrats! On your new baby girl the receptionist Christina is cool EVERYONE is kind the office is nice & clean! Forever a client💖💖
Ive been going to Philly Dentistry for around 4 years. Dr. Cirka won me over on my first visit with his considered care plan and positive personality. Dr. Jeon is a gentle, thorough dentist as well. Jenn is a terrific hygienist; she remembers my individual preferences and that makes the appointments go smoothly. Rach and Jenaya have also provided great care. Im comfortable going to the office with the pandemic procedures they have in place, and can always count on Sandy, Dani, Amy, Stephen and Kiya to be helpful and cheerful. Thanks so much to everyone for the great care.
I recently moved to Philly, and was looking for a new local dentist that I could walk to from home. Ive always had amazing experiences with dentists, go to them twice a year, and generally the dentists/hygienists are very complimentary on my hygiene. With that background, I will say Im unsure about going back to Philadelphia Dentistry. I really enjoyed most of the staff I met - everyone at the receptionist desk was amazingly friendly, the financial adviser Stephen was extremely nice, and I really enjoyed getting my fillings done by Jen. Unfortunately though, I felt a little awkward with the hygienist and dentist that worked on my teeth. Neither seemed overly friendly or wanting to make me comfortable, and the dentist forgot what I was telling them about my teeth pain a couple of times. On an ending note though, Im sure this place is perfect for anyone who works or lives near Center City, and wants a generally okay experience.
I love it here, everyone is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable just like family. Jen is the best she is fast and knows how to treat her patients she is every understanding and explains everything you need to know to move on to your next step. Stephen worked with me to get approved for the funds i need to get the work done he is amazing..Great service staff
Dr. Cirkas office most definitely has the most welcoming, caring, and professional hygienists, and dentists that I have seen! From my first appointment with them, they were extremely welcoming, will set your appointments well in advance, and are flexible with you if you have to reschedule your appointment. Their office is wonderful, and they are always very careful with my teeth, and always check to make sure that all is well, even if I do not ask them to!All of the hygienists are great! My teeth are always sparkling and clean when I leave my appointments, and if I ever have any questions about my retainers, or how to keep my teeth clean, they are always very informative.I actually look forward to and enjoy going to their office (which I am sure not many can say about their trip to the dentist).Regarding your insurance, you simply give them your information, and if your insurance works with them, then for your appointments, you pay upfront, and your insurance will reimburse you, and it does not take long! They are also very efficient in letting you know what your insurance covers.I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to have the best experience with their teeth, you will not regret it!!
No one actually likes to go to the dentist, but somehow this crew makes it enjoyable from start to finish. I find myself looking forward to my visits because they are so nice and extremely efficient with any procedure or check up. Their staff rocks and deserves an award for braving this pandemic! They have taken all the precautions to make sure you feel safe ❤️
Heads up -- THE OFFICE DOES NOT REQUIRE STAFF TO BE VACCINATED, and if you ask to be scheduled with vaccinated providers, they will refuse your request.Ive gone to Dr. Cirka for 7 years, and was previously pretty happy with the practice. Unfortunately, their response to COVID concerns is seriously lacking, and I cannot continue to patronize a dental practice that does not seem to believe in and/or respect science.I dont think its insane to ask that only vaccinated folks work on me since theyre literally going to be standing over my open orifices while breathing over my face, but apparently they will not accommodate any such requests. Nor will they agree to have staff wear N95 masks even though these people may be unvaccinated. They will also tell you that they cannot ask employees about their vaccination status. Check the EEOC guidance on that issue -- this is NOT true. Employers absolutely can inquire as to an employees vaccination status though they cannot inquire as to WHY an employee is unvaccinated.I would avoid this practice unless you enjoy playing the Is this person who is standing over my open mouth and nose (while breathing and talking to me) vaccinated?!? game. In which case, enjoy and may the odds be ever in your favor.Otherwise, if you need a new dentist, check out Philadelphia Dental Associates. Theyre good and theyre all vaccinated (confirmed with office).David Tecosky on 25th and Brown Street are also good and theyre all vaccinated (confirmed with office).
Ive been a patient for over 2 years now. Always quick and efficient with their work. I had a filling crack in May and was able to get in the very next business day (a Friday) when I finally called to get it checked out and had the filling replaced that following Monday by Dr. Ridge and the assistant (I forgot her name). After fixing that I realized I would be away for my cleaning date in August and they bumped me up this week with my go-to hygienist Jen.Jen did my Zoom well over a year ago which whitened my teeth 4 shades and the trays and whitening provided have kept my pearly whites nice and bright with light maintenance.Everyone at the office is friendly, helpful and informative and they handle their new Covid procedures with ease and care.
The minute you walk into Philadelphia Dentistry everyone is phenomenal, professional and welcoming. A warm thank you to everyone that worked directly with me. The most important thing is that I’m loving my teeth, it’s only the beginning to a better smile. Can’t wait to see the final results. Highly recommend these amazing people.
This office is truly 5 star care. Everyone who works there is the most friendly helpful person-not a bad one in the bunch! From the moment you walk in to the office you are made to feel that you are a VIP, not to mention that Dr Ken and his colleagues do the most beautiful cosmetic dentistry in the area, and I am so happy with my new smile!! It was so worth every penny. The only thing negative i could say is the fact that it is in center city but Dr Ken and his wonderful staff are well worth the trip. I’m not a city person but he is now my new dentist for all of my dental needs. They do so many thoughtful things for their patients!I am so glad I found them! I have wanted veneers for years and years. I highly recommend Philadelphia Dentistry and Dr Ken and staff- they truly go above and beyond and are the best! I can’t say enough about this gold standard of care.
This place is like Trader Joes for Dentistry. Warm energy and expertise in a quick visit. I happily come regularly for my Invisalign checkups because Im seen quickly, treated gently and love that everyone is so delightfully friendly. I actually look forward to the dentist now! All the negative thoughts Ive had about dental offices have floated away. I totally recommend that you experience awesome for yourself and go to Philadelphia Dentistry.
UPDATE - June 2021: I received a call from Philly Dentistry following this review to express their regret over my past experience. I appreciated this call, especially being aware that Dr. Smith is no longer with Philly Dentistry. Staff Customer Service is excellent and I appreciate that. This review would not have made it online if Philly Dentistry had followed up when the issues were occurring and I originally provided feedback to their team.May 2021My experience at Philadelphia Dentistry, specifically with Dr. Stephanie Smith, was so traumatic AND expensive, it took me longer than it should have to return to a dentists office. I had work done that I later had confirmed was unnecessary and didnt sign up for the many months of dental work Dr. Smith tried to swindle me into, but still ended up paying the office several thousand dollars out of pocket. And beyond the gross, unethical practice of pushing unnecessary procedures, I was also left in pain for the better part of a year as a result of Dr. Smiths replacement of a crown that didnt need to be replaced and her unwillingness to listen during the procedure when both I and a hygienist let her know that it wasnt fitting properly. One of the other doctors in the office stepped up to repair the work she did, but the pain continued although to a much lesser extent.WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The staff is kind, but the people doing the work that will affect your life outside of the office - namely the dentists, at least in my experience, are terrible.

2022-08-01I found this office went I moved to Philly and decided to come due to the amazing reviews. I have to say that I was not disappointed at all. I got my wisdom teeth out and I also got a cavity filling and the procedures had been quick and painless. When I went to get my cavity filling Amy and Dr. Ridge made sure to make me feel safe and they took their time to explain and walk me through the procedure. They made sure to answered all my questions. The staff it’s very welcoming and friendly. I always leave this place extremely satisfied and content. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a dental office that treats patients with care and respect.

2022-02-23As someone who is not a huge fan of going to a dentist, I was very apprehensive. The team is amazing in all aspects: they listen to your concerns and fears, discuss and explain every treatment, make sure you are as comfortable as possible. They coordinated work with other specialists (root canals and extractions) to make sure you get the best care. I think they are a bit high from cost perspective, but totally worth it. Dr. Ridge and his team definitely have my highest recommendation.

2022-02-16This place is a SCAM. Do Not Go Here!!! I have never had a cavity in my life. They told me I have 9+ cavities and that this needed to be handled right away or there would be permanent damage. I was then rushed into a back room where they proceeded to tell me it would cost $5,000+ but they would be happy to set me up with a loan.I then went to another dentist for a second opinion and they told me my teeth were healthy, they saw no cavities or problems at all. When Philadelphia Dentistry called me to set up my emergency appointment, I explained to them that a second opinion saw no issues and that they were a scam. She proceeded to tell me they are not a scam, they are taking preventative measures. If you look at all the reviews, there are few bad ones because they delete them. There are MULTIPLE people who have gone through the same thing of needing a ton of work and then being rushed into a back room for payment or to discuss financing. The great reviews all seem to have multiple procedures done, which may or may not of been needed. You make your own assessment. But I highly recommend you go some where else.

2022-07-26I came in for a teeth whitening session and was very happy with my results! Valerie checked on me several times throughout the procedure to make sure I felt comfortable. Both Valerie and Dr. Ridge were friendly, and made sure to answer all of my questions before I left. They were great!

2022-06-06Had a lovely experience at Philadelphia Dentistry. Dr. Ridge and Jenaya were wonderful every visit. Dr. Ridge always took the time to make sure every single question was answered so there was nothing else to be anxious about and if I had anymore, everyone that answered the phone quickly gave me a response. Everyone is so kind and cheery making what could be a scary dental procedure a lot less intimidating…and my teeth look and feel great!!

2022-04-04I am from New Jersey and was used to great dental service all of my life, so when I moved to Philly I was nervous about finding the same great care. I am so glad I came to Philly Dentistry first. Since day one I felt like I was a long-time patient. The staff is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. I was having problems with frequent pain in the roof of my mouth causing constant headaches. Dr. Wilcoff was immediately able to conclude I was having jaw misalignment issues and start immediate treatment which worked like a charm. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. You won’t be disappointed!

2022-07-14Best dentist in PHilly!! The staff is extremely helpful, & Dr. Ridge fixed my broken tooth with the best crown I’ve ever had done. If you have any financial concerns, Stephen the financial coordinator is also always there to help.

2022-04-21While the dental staff was excellent- the front of the office staff was misleading. I called them before coming in and the office admin told me they took my insurance so I scheduled and appointment. What I found out what that they worked with insurances but they dont take insurance. They told me it was customary to pay upfront for my dental work and wait for my insurance to reimburse me. I was later told by my insurance that because they dont accept insurance they can charge whatever they would like- hence the $2,000 bill to get a crown put on. When I called to see if they could work with me their finance person told me I had signed paperwork stating this was what it was and that there was nothing he could do. Incredibly inflexible and frustrating to work with.
