Went in there looking for nice meinl cymbals, was surprised at the low key, laid back nature of this place. They got high end custom kits to drool over, and tons of nice cymbals and remo heads, along with the obligatory hardware, sticks, stands. If you been drumming for a minute and need to step up yr game with really beautiful stuff, or just get heads and sticks this ya place
This place is fantastic!! You will find upscale and unusual stock. The owner Brandon Pfundt is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to what a customer is looking for. I heard he will be getting in some great inventory he spotted at the recent NAMM show.

2021-10-12I drove here from Pittsburgh the other day to trade for a drum set. Was absolutely blown away by the selection. Great guy with a lot of knowledge and passion for what he does. Beautiful store with exquisite snares and cymbals to gawk over. Very well worth a visit.

2021-05-19For the average drummer, this place is a godsend if you need last-minute sticks, heads, beaters, random percussion, and anything else drum-related. They have really nice stuff and its a Philly small business. A very welcome addition to the city. The drums here are expensive, but Brandon only stocks kits that represent the best of the best being made right now, used OR new. My advice is to keep an eye on his Reverb page, and then go to the store to try out any kits or drums that you’d consider buying. The atmosphere in this store is very relaxed and friendly. If you can swing it, it’s more satisfying to buy musical instruments from a real brick-and-mortar store. He also carries really nice cymbals, and he even has some awesome used-cymbal deals that pop up on his reverb page sometimes. You can easily ask to try out any cymbals. There is a full practice kit available for trying stuff out.

2021-01-05Great drum shop! owner is kind and super knowledgeable. cymbal selection is beautifully selected and the demo room sounds great.(seriously the drums are tuned fantastically)just wish they would post a heads up via social medial when closing the shop early. a little frustrating to drive 30 minutes or so just to find the shop is closed.

2021-05-04I love getting my occasional fix of gear talk with Brandon. It means a lot to me to have a drums-specific spot in the city, especially one that specializes in the finer side of drum/cymbal craftsmanship.

2017-05-13Awesome to finally have a great pro shop in Philly! Great personable service and tons of great gear in the showroom. Bonus points for a cozy, well stocked cymbal booth with ample choices of both American and Turkish bronze.Lots of toys that you wont find in a box store like low boy beaters, big fat snare mufflers, boutique snare drums and cool percussion gadgets.A plus plus.

2017-10-06The Philadelphia Drum & Percussion Shop is great! I went there to buy a cymbal bag, but I eventually went out with a great ride cymbal, a pair of sticks and a cymbal bag for free on top. The owner is such a nice person! I had enough time to try all the cymbals and he didnt push me at all to buy something. I felt very welcomed and want to recommend this shop to every drum lover!

2017-02-20Hands down one of the best drum shops Ive ever been to. They stock stuff that you really wouldnt find at a huge music retailer and was all around a really cool place. The cymbal room was great and had just about all the Meinl cymbals I was looking to try out. 100% will be coming back every chance I get.

2019-05-06I wish they had a little more garbage (because I am a garbage person) but if youre the kind of drummer who could/would drop $$$ on the best drums or cymbals you have ever seen, this is your place. Think drum boutique. They have a great selection of essentials (sticks, heads, accessories, blah blah blah) and the guy who runs the spot is super friendly. We are lucky to have a spot like this in Philly.

2017-12-06Pro service, fair pricing and finally a place you can play different kits, snare drums and some of the best cymbals youll ever hear. Most of this gear is custom or boutique shop.A fun place for drummers, period. And they specialize in Bosphorus cymbals.
