I had two dysfunctional banjosOne a low budget import and the other a late 19th century instrument which I had big hopes forMike made both of them sound awesomeI wanted nylgut strings on the old timer and Mike had some real challenges which he creatively and successfully figured outI would highly recommend Mikes competent skills and can do attitude

Mike is super knowledgeable and great to work with. I took a few instruments into Philadelphia Music Studios to repair after a reference from a friend who had his bass fixed there. First he fixed my acoustic-electric guitar (the neck was literally cracked completely backwards and the pickup needed to be replaced). Not sure how he did it, but now it looks as good as new and he installed a much better pick-up as well. I thought the neck was unfixable but he brought it back to life and it plays better than it did before. He also repaired my ukulele- it also had a problematic pick-up and the tuners had rusted and were not staying in tune. I am very cautious with my uke since it was so expensive, and Ive had it for a long time. But it needed to be fixed, so I met with Mike and he replaced the tuning gear and put in a much better pick-up. It stays in tune now and plays in tune up and down the neck. It sounds great more importantly. I also have recorded at Philadelphia Music Studios. I have recorded vocals at my home studio, but Philadelphia Music Studios have a lot of great gear and I’m always really happy with my vocal tracks here. They sound a lot better than my home recordings of course. Very professional and clear and recording there is an overall comfortable and fun experience. Overall Mike is very easy to work with and you can tell he goes above and beyond for his customers. Wish there were more kind, professional, and honest people like him.

This guy is a complete hack. Took a Les Paul in for a simple setup and pickup installation and left with a gouged fretboard up the entire neck and severe buzzing of the lower strings. When I confronted him about it he denied everything and then changed his story and said that he was in a rush. If you value your gear, stay away. He’s also the hack at Guitar Center Plymouth Meeting part time. If you decide to go there for service, make sure he’s not the one that’s gonna touch it. Everyone makes mistakes but when you blatantly lie and make excuses it really shows poor character. And it is clearly apparent here. In addition the entire facility is filthy from the repair end to the studio.

DRUMMERS! Dont have a drum set? Drum set too expensive? COME TO THIS PLACE! Practice for $10 an hour! Im so glad I found this place! The crazy thing is I discovered this studio the moment I lost hope that I wouldnt find a place to Practice! Check it out guys!

PMS mentors our youth to use music positively with focus and strength as a part of their education. A great place for musicians of all ages.
