I am so thankful I found PPR for my girl, Maggie. She loves her days at PPR Enrichment. She has so many friends which has created a very socialized and well-rounded pup. The staff members are amazing and want the best for each and every client (pooch). I highly recommend PPR!!
Playful Pups Retreat has been nothing but great to work with in regards to boarding our dog, Riggs! Riggs tail wags when we walk into the registration area and is greeted with loving words by the staff. I take my dog Nora to the daycare once a week just to get social interaction. She is always so excited when we pull in the parking lot. The employees are always so nice and good with the dogs. They always have fun activities and crafts for all the holidays that result in awseome keep sakes.
Playful Pups has been a wonderful experience for our dogs! They started in the puppy social skills group and moved into daycare. Our dog’s excitement to go to daycare is the highlight of the day! The staff are friendly and genuine and treat our dogs like their own. We highly recommend Playful Pups!
Got to tell you that my pup George and I absolutely love Playful Pups Retreat. George has been going to the day board program for a few months on varying days. Im happy because I know that he is in a safe, loving place where he gets lots of attention and play-time with the staff and other pups and he is not left home alone when Im at work.George loves it for the same reasons and he runs to the door when we arrive.The staff is fantastic and treat all the pups like their own. Play groups, nature walks, cuddle time are a few of the extras they offer. Absolutely five stars all the way.
My dog had a wonderful experience at Playful Pups Resort! The facility is clean with a big space for the dogs to play. The staff was so friendly and helpful when planning Clydes stay. I could see pictures everyday of the activities Clyde was participating in and the staff was wonderful with keeping him occupied and happy. I would highly recommend boarding your pet here and I will be returning here in the future!
My Shihpoo, Garfield absolutely loves Playful Pups, and I feel good about taking him there to spend his day while Im at work. The staff is very friendly, positive, caring, which makes me feel comfortable leaving my little guy in their care. The facility is always kept immaculate. We take our two Goldens to daycare every week, on separate days. They have a great time and love to go. But just as importantly, we can tell - everyone that works there cares for the dogs and theyre there for the right reason. THEY LOVE DOGS.
Staff is great with my two pups that attend daycare. They are especially good with my one dog that has reactivity issues. Great for daycare, training, and overnight lodging.
Nice large fenced in yard! There were toys there, but we always bring balls with us wherever we go.There were 2 groundhog holes we had to watch out for. All in all it was wonderful to watch my pup get the zoomies out.
I called about th he process of taking my dog there. I got an appointment a month later for an evaluation. When I dropped my dog off I was asking some questions and was told the dogs are outside all day. I asked even in the heat and cold. The answer was yes . If I wanted him to be inside some of the day it would be 10.00 more. The point is I was never told that initially. I should have asked that question. I dont think a daycare should have any package that includes dogs to stay out all day long.
Our dog Bella loves her day at Playful Pups. We can relax knowing she is well cared for and having a great time with her furry friends.
Absolutely wonderful facility for our fur babies. My guy gets the best treatment when I take him there for his baths and pedicures. Highly recommend them.

My dogs just left their first boarding stay here and I was super impressed! Im very particular about who I leave my dogs with, and had previously only boarded them at the facility that I worked at in Texas. Everyone we interacted with was sweet, professional, and really made our pups feel loved during their stay. Its an hour drive for me, and even still, I will only be using Playful Pups in the future.
Playful pups was absolutely amazing, I have a very anxious rescue, who I get very nervous leaving in the hands of others! I called very nervous before our first visit and the staff assured me that he was in good hands! They handled him very well, even after he got defensive! This is gonna be his fourth time there and he basically dragges me inside now!! He is absolutely in love with the staff and atmosphere! They help him gain confidence & make sure he is comfortable at all times! (Even if he just wants to hangout in the yard with them) I couldn’t thank the staff enough for there time & care they share with the pups!

Boarded my 2 labradors for 1 week during vacation. Saw daily pictures on their face book page and had them in activities throughout the day. Dogs came home happy and worn out.
Our 5 month old English Bulldog was very well taken care of for her 4 night stay. She has pretty significant gastro issues and came with a host of special food instructions, as well as pre-made bland food and medication. Overall, they did well with her diet. The team was responsive and patient with my check-in phone calls; Great Customer Service. It was great to receive a report card and pictures of all the fun she had with the other pups! Would recommend to my fellow fur-parents!

To say Im excited to board my dogs with Playful Pups is an understatement. I had a horrible experience with Greenlin Pet Resort in Hershey last week and felt really uneasy about boarding. Playful Pups came highly recommended by two of my closest friends. Knowing the owner also owns Pitties Love Peace put my mind even further at ease knowing they have experience with all sorts of breeds. The girl I spoke to on the phone (sorry I forget her name) was FANTASTIC, sweet, caring and really made me feel like my pups will be loved while we are away. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I cant wait to hear all about their time with you guys!
We love out little dog and just returned from 2 weeks in Italy. This place is top shelf! We got an e-mail report every couple of days, photos on Facebook daily. We could not be happier with these folks.
We love Playful Pups for our high maintenance dog. She has some reactive issues and feels more comfortable being on her own, and the staff here does an amazing job. She always come back home exhausted from her nature walks. We have to drive 40 mins from our new home after moving, but we are willing to travel because our dog is so comfortable here. The staff is so amazing, they know her by name and she gets excited when she sees them for drop off. Thanks for taking such great care of our girl!
We have used Playful Pups many times and have always known our dogs are well taken care of! This last time, our older dog had a health scare right before we were to drop her off. After a vet visit, Playful Pups took her and cared for her like she was their own. Im always amazed at how happy my fur babies are when we pick them up. We checked up on her multiple times during her weekend stay and staff was always so nice and gave a full rundown on how she was doing. Even days after they have been home, staff inquired as to how she was doing. That right there is customer service at its best and a truly caring environment!
We have taken our dog here once a year during our week long family vacation and he does very well for them. He loves walks and sports time. This past time he had some tummy issues which they dealt with well and quickly he was fine when we picked him up. He doesnt do well in the car and we are about 5 minutes away from here and he gets excited when we get there so thats a great thing to ease my heart when I wont have him for a whole week. Everyone is friendly and caring. A great home away from home for him.
They had our dog for awhile and took great care of him. The staff were friendly and very helpful when we had questions. Our dog smelled so fresh and clean when we picked him up, they had given him a nice bath the day before we got him. I would recommend Playful Pups Retreat to anyone who needs to boarder their dogs, they will be well taken care of.

Dudley just wants to sleep,so I know he got a lot of interaction and not just stuck in a kennel. Not to mention all the great pics of him playing on Facebook. Hell be staying here whenever we cant take him with.
Our trio just spent 16 days at Playful Pups Retreat and they were spoiled, snuggled, had a super fun time at play and came home very happy. Thank you to the wonderful staff for taking such great care of our three fur babies! They will definitely be staying here again.
Updated review as the first one was not quite fair. We boarded our two dogs here, and had some initial issues, but spoke to the owner who was extremely understanding and helpful. The issues were not the fault of the facility, and partly due to a miscommunication, , but she went above and beyond to help us and rectify the situation. This was only our first stay, but the staff we interacted with was very friendly and sweet to our dogs. I think my pup is just not cut out for boarding unfortunately, but due to the customer service we received after our stay, we would consider boarding here again if he had done better when away from home. Any problems we had were addressed almost immediately, and to our full satisfaction. The staff really seem to care about the dogs as well as the customer service experience, which we appreciated.
If you love your dog this is the place to board them! We got a new puppy and he is as happy at drop off as he is as pickup here! The staff here are excellent and are dog lovers! I’ve gotten the tour and when you get your tour you’ll understand how awesome this place is.

Amazing place! Playful pups was a wonderful place for our best friend to spend his weekend. Everyone was very friendly and professional, kept us up to date with everything, and even gave him a report card at the end! I would recommend this kennel to everyone.
This is an amazing boarding facility. They go above and beyond for your dog with all of the little details and activity packages offered. I completely trust them and will continue to make the hour drive to bring my baby here, as the peace of mind is priceless.
We day boarded our dogs here, and were absolutely thrilled with it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This was by far the best boarding facility that we have ever left our dogs with. Sure wish we had a place like this back in Chesapeake, VA. When we visit this area again, we will definitely use them again.
This is the only boarding facility in the area that I would trust with my dogs. They are in-tune with dogs and their knowledge of dog health, behavior, temperament, etc. is great! The owner is very involved and staff are well-trained. I feel like my dogs are truly loved there. I think its important that the dogs arent let out for potty breaks by someone sliding open a door for them to go out to the bathroom on concrete. They actually take dogs outside into a yard for each potty trip so they can go to the bathroom as they normally would, and they get much more human interaction that way than at some other places. I think this is much less stressful and more natural for dogs when away from home. They have a variety of rooms that dont feel like kennels, even private luxury rooms! Dogs also have a blast in their daycare program. I would definitely recommend Playful Pups Retreat for boarding and for doggie daycare!
My pitbull rescue was very skittish and uncomfortable at other kennels, but felt right at home his first stay at Playful Pups. The staff knows how to handle a wide spectrum of behavior and my dog has benefitted greatly from staying here.
Playful Pups is the only place that my pup would rather be than home! The playtimes, the nature walks, and the cuddle times are just three of the reasons he loves going there.Perhaps more than anything... My impression when I had toured will say it is a 2. I was really hoping by the reviews along with the prices I would have left confident this was going to be the place my puply would stay for a week and felt like she be happy. My puppy is a jack Russell so to my expectations with the prices and packages are going to be high due to their prices they are offering. When touring which is by person on your opinion also by your dogs temperament as mine is high energy by looking at the dogs in some areas that are higher end suites which cost an arm and leg on stay with extra package to choose from for more attention and exercise which is what my family were thinking with her needs. Its only 15mins extra per activity per day along with a homemade food and package deals are offered for more acrivities etc. which sounds nice but has to be walked on a leash at least till they are comfortable to know which dogs would be a good fit and who is to say if my dog be ok with that as she is an escape artist its her breed she enjoys to run and dig but is a love bug there decision on that activity. The luxury suite t.vs did not work and want 41$ or so a day but if I choose that package that t.v. better work!! That seemed concerning to me if that is what attracted me and thankfully I asked and had an honest answer that is a big deal especially paying high dollar for. One dog lost his/her voice from barking so much in this luxury room so imagine this family to come back to see that (lab dog was stressed)?! The staff had about 70 dogs there and only seen one really doing her job to the jack Russell that was staying when it was her additional fee to the activity. Seems they truly only get the attention if you pay extra activities and if you are on a standard pay rate they are by the books of the pee breaks on leash. My husband and I think she probably be in that cage for 20hours for not much attention and running she loves mind you. Its a lot of money and we decided not to chose them as I stated my dog is high energy and seeked somewhere else for her needs to have a kennel where she can run in her own fence in area as she pleases and always tour and its ok to look at other boarding kennels for your dogs needs. Dogs did seem stressed in other areas and just was not for my family to feel comfortable having her stay for the amount they wanted and t.v not worked (if we chose that) also dog lost voice for who knows how long the lab was barking in that suite as if your not paying extra I feel your dog is not going to get the attention of why we searched another in our area and ask neighbors where they go and tour!!! just dont settle until you feel confident your baby is going to be happy and the price is right and things operate like they should. I did not see toys in the cage as they said the dogs can have and some did not have blankets as Im sure needed clean but did not replace when I toured and alot of staff about 3 girls just talking this9/14/19 on a Saturday of my tour and really pay attention to all of your surroundings to pick is my advice and ask questions especially about that t.v I would if been mad/fumed I pay $41 per day and that dam t.v didnt work for that background noise. So no we did not plan our stay and went somewhere else for our puppy needs where she would enjoy to run in her own separate area of doing so. Hope this helps a family and no offense to puppy resort for lodging but fix the t.v area if no cable with dvd players even if its a kids movie so if a family paying I would expect what I am paying for and the attention you would expect or by puppy/dog they need (you know your dog) that is what matters!! My 8 year old dog loves to go to daycare at Playful Pups and also loves boarding there. You can see his excitement before we leave to go there everytime. Attentive and loving staff.

My dog stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and we booked a little last minute so it was nice that they could squeeze us in. He seemed okay, maybe a little bit stressed after coming home.A little while later, after getting home, we discovered they hadn’t fed him one of his meals. We had pre-bagged each one individual and hadn’t included any extras. On his ‘report card’ they had stated that he had enthusiastically eaten. Guess not.It kind of makes me wonder if he actually got to do the activity package we paid for too, or what else they didn’t tell us. Proceed with caution.

Playful Pups Retreat is Kylo’s favorite place to play and stay! He is never stressed after being there and is comfortably exhausted when he comes home. The staff is so helpful and cares about each and every pup there! He has been boarded there several times and never an issue. Truly home away from home! Theyre all so sweet to my Princess Puppers and she loved them and was so excited to see us at the end of the day it was great! Every dog is different, and she really enjoyed here walks.
The staff was so helpful and kind. I really enjoyed working with them. They listened to my needs and made sure we had everything taken care of. This process couldnt have been better because they were so great! I would highly recommend them to anyone.
This boarding and daycare facility is excellent. They really love pets and it is felt and showed how they interact with the dogs. Zak loved his 1st visit.

2022-04-30We had been searching for the perfect place for our Samoyed, Lexi and had a few places that didn’t meet our expectations. We were trying to get Lexi socialized with other dogs, especially since this was the first time we ever rescued a dog. Upon finding Playful Pups Retreat we were immediately impressed. The staff is truly devoted to giving your pet the best service, are extremely courteous and go out of their way to ensure your precious one is treated as though it was their own.

2022-04-21Playful Pups is wonderful! The staff is great with my pups. We use them for daycare services and boarding when we are away. Our GSD loves to go to daycare once a week and play with all of her friends. The staff is very attentive and always lets us know if there is something going on with our girl that we should know about, behaviorally or medically. They are committed to giving each dog in daycare a positive experience and making sure everyone is kept safe. The boarding facility has a lot of activity options for your pup during their stay including a newly expanded private wooded walking trail on the property for nice nature walks. They also offer playgroups, ball time and snuggle time with the staff for your pups. Our dogs love PPR!

2022-06-08I was very nervous to take puppy to a daycare, I wasnt sure what to expect and I was worried it would be overwhelming for him. From the moment we walked in the door, every single staff member was kind, understanding and efficient. Chance absolutely loved his first day! Being able to see pictures of him learning and playing all day was comforting. His care during the day was absolutely exceptional. The end of day report card was so much fun for our entire family! Absolutely recommend.

2022-03-22This place is AMAZING! Ive been boarding my boy here for over a year now. He loves the girls there. They take such good care of him. The activities they provide can make any pup happy. I have a beagle, so he can get nature walks, brain/nose games for treats cuddle time with the staff or playtime with the other dogs. Highly recommend!!!

2022-04-28Our rescue pup Camo goes to PPR for daycare and training services. He loves playing with the perfectly matched pups the staff sets him up with. The staff are very friendly and you can tell they are doing what they love. PPR is a clean and safe place for your treasured pup. Trainers are awesome and you can get your pup groomed there as well. PPR is wonderful and you should give them a try. Plus your pup will love you more for the experience.Thank you PPR for taking care of our sweet boy.

2022-05-03We are so fortunate to have this great facility to help us with our best fur kid. The staff is amazing, the facility is clean and safe and they love our dog so much. Highly recommend it to anyone with a dog that loves to run and play and be social. The staff has always provided us with support anytime we have need a little extra hand with training and learning new commands. We are so grateful.

2022-04-28My puppy Piper started in the Puppy Social class & has moved on to the regular Doggie Daycare & loves it!! She gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot. I would definitely recommend Playful Pups. They are amazing & they definitely love what the do. You can leave and know your fur baby is in good hands!!

2022-06-02I am so glad to have found Playful Pups.As much as I want my dog with me, leaving him here is the best answer. He gets to do fun things and I know he is safe and well cared for. He comes home happy and clean and if he stays a couple days I get to see his picture on line. There seems to be very good record keeping when I have a question and he comes home with all his toys.

2022-04-21I can only say good things about Playful Pups. I took my dog here as a puppy (9 weeks old) because I was uncomfortable leaving him alone at home for long periods of time at that age. My dog is now almost one and stills goes to daycare about 2 days a week when I am at the office for work. When we pull up he gets soooo excited and knows he gets to play with his furry friends all day. They are very flexible with schedule and provide fun little activities for the dogs (Easter egg hunt, school pictures, etc). They also have GREAT hours. I work very long and late hours during tax season so being able to drop him off at 7am and pick him up at 7pm knowing he’s having fun give me such peace of mind. I highly recommend!

2022-04-26Ive been taking my puppy there for 2 weeks now (2 days a week), and absolutely love this place. The staff is helpful and friendly, the building and property are clean and spacious. Well worth the money to help my puppy with his socialization skills. I would recommend this place to anyone.
