Don’t miss this. The highlight is getting to feed the animals. The monkeys are excellent at catching grapes and carrots in midair! Feed a pig a baby bottle. And send some bear kibble down the chute! A unique experience. The animals all seem well cared for and the habitats were very clean, which is important when I go to a zoo. My kids loved it and we went back two days in a row.
Went there looking for things to do in the Poconos, helps to keep the kids busy, it’s like a small Zoo, few Snakes, monkeys, bear, alligators pigs. You get to feed some of the animals for a few more bucks. Sad to see some of the animals in cage but hey… i recommend it tho.
If you havent gone here yet, YOU MUST. My whole family loves this place. Its small, but awesome. My daughter no longer wants to go to one of the bigger zoos. Because her she can get close up to the different animals and feed the monkeys and bear. Oh and the staff is very friendly. Just all around a great family spot
I paid $10/person admission plus $6 for snacks for the animals and ended up having the best time! The woman at the front desk was cheerful and warm,, she explained the layout of the zoo so we could experience everything. The decor is unique and feeding the animals encourages them to come right up to you to interact, and you really get to see their personalities. The zoo has several species of reptile I havent personally seen at any other zoo Ive been to. Awesome experience for the price 👍
This place is amazing! I was worried it would be another one of those tourist traps but I couldnt have been more wrong. The people there know so much about the animals and are very friendly. Feeding the animals is really fun too. And you can pet some of them! I love animals and this place brought a huge smile to my face.
Great little animal farm- zoo. Very friendly staff, seems like they are a family. Great variety of animals . Was a little crowded because we went on. A holiday, but still got right in and had a lot of fun, the grandchildren want to go back. We are all looking forward to going back.
This is a fun place to take the kids while visiting the poconos. Its smaller but family owned. The animals are well taken care of. Ive never seen dirty cages, lethargy of animals or emaciated animals. Theyre mostly all rescues. Plus the kids love to feed them the healthy snacks. We visit every time.
This was a very small zoo with mostly reptiles….. it only took approximately one hour to get through but the animals were great especially the monkeys. The owners were very accommodating to our large group and were generous with giving us extra food to feed the animals with. Very impressed!
I have been going there for over 30 years. Got to see, feed and pet many animals. Ive been there when the pigs they have were tiny piglets. It was and has been my favorite place to go to see animals and now I can experience it in a different view as my son loves animals and loves to feed animals. Definitely a must do if you are in the area. The best part of it, is if you dont need alot of time to see and do everything. 30 minutes to 1 hour(depending on how many people are visiting).
Its nice but pretty small. You can feed milk bottles to pigs and goats, throw fruit to monkeys (they catch it) and lemurs can get it through a little slide concoction (same with bears but they have special bear food). All animals are caged, so you can only feed them through cages. My daughter loved the piggies and kept wanting to feed them
Always wondered what this place was since I was a child. I always wondered why they said snake & animals when snakes are animals but I guess it’s what encouraged my fascination with this place even more.25 years later I finally treated myself. Pretty cool place for the kids and family. Staff was super friendly. Really good restaurant (Mad Apples) next door to take the family to eat afterwards. Highly recommend if you want to entertain the family and get something to eat at the same time!
Cute little family farm. Lots of different types of monkeys that are ready for you to feed with their hands ready to catch the pieces of fruit we bought to feed with. Also fed a pig and bear. Looking forward to seeing several alligators being moved to a pond this month. Got to support these guys.
I liked this little treasure. It wasnt expensive and the money is going to help with the care and up keep of the animals. The staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions. It only takes about 30 minutes to see everything which some other review didnt like but with little ones thats all we needed before the meltdowns start and its time to leave anyway. Would recommend.
Very nice farm! The place is small but it allows you to see the animals closer than you would see in a zoo. Ticket is $8.5 for adult. You can pay extra for bear/monkey food/goat+ pig bottle. We also got to pet a bunny. There were some unique animals that we never got to see in the zoos we have visited, such as alligator snapping turtle and sloth.
We have been here twice and loved it both times. The kids have a blast feeding the animals and watching them. Its clear the animals are very well cared for and loved. Staff is friendly, the place is clean, and getting to feed all the animals is such a treat for the kids.Unfortunately this time is was quite busy so good was limited to ensure all guests get a chance, but its understandable and the kids shared the food we had well. Its rather small, so you can enjoy the whole farm in about an hour or so. Perfect for young children and toddlers, and although its all outside the pathway is covered so you are shaded most of the time. We will absolutely be back next time we visit the Poconos!
Worthy the visit. Staff is very friendly and we had a fun time with our little daughter. She fed the pigs, goats and monkeys. You should buy this food before entering the animal area. The place is clean and is following covid rules, I was able to keep 6ft apart.Animals seems very well cared and are always friendly.I strongly recommend the visit!! We simply loved :)
A must for everyone, adults and children of all ages! So much fun! Definitely need to go! Not only do you see the animals but they share a little history about each. Price is fair, you are also able to purchase food for animals at $2 for each. Animal interaction is amazing!
Last time I was here was as a little kid. We took our 4 year old there on the way home from our visit to Bushkill a. Definitely better then some zoos we been too. While the selection of animals not as numerous as larger zoos, I have never seen animals so active before and engaging the visitors. While the price is a bit high, I would still suggest purchasing the food options for the animals. They are super cute and amazing. They catch the food in the air and eat it or you can bottle feed the pigs and goats. Well worth the stop!
This was a cute little place. A lot of animals, especially monkeys and snakes. We had a lot of fun petting and feeding the goats and pigs. The lemurs put on a really good show for us. It took about 45 minutes going through to read everything and feed the animals. Its obvious they love the animals given how they talk about them.
This place is humid as hell inside but the animals are cute and awesome. You can buy a variety of food for the raccoons, lemurs, monkies, piggies, gators, goats and they also have 2 skunks, a bunny, snakes, spiders, turtles, koi fish, and a sloth! They also have a couple big cats, a couple birds and a bear that was hibernating.
Cute little place. My kids loved it. For an adult, it is pretty small and seems a little run down. The animals loved gobbling down the fruit and snacks (sold separately from admission). The only onsite bathrooms are port-o-potties just outside of the entrance. Its a nice activity to take up a little bit of time, but dont expect to be there for more than an hour.As far as covid precautions, they separated parties at the entrance and only allowed so many people at a time. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance, but it wasnt exactly encouraged. Since the walk dead-ends, people end up walking both ways down the paths. That made a tough to remain physically distanced.
This place is an absolutely amazing time for a low price. 4 or 5 different species of monkeys, a bear, lots of snakes, a sloth, pigs, and goats are all so fun to see. You can buy food for certain animals and feed it to them. Throwing fruit to a monkey was really fun! Also bottle feeding the adorable pigs.
Fun place for kids to enjoy and feed the animals. The space inside is a bit cramped, some areas you have to squeeze through if someone else is there. The main animals are the goats that you can feed with your hands. The bear and monkeys you feed from a distance. Overall good for kids.
My guest and I completely loved how interactive this trip was. Feeding the animals, petting them, learning their personalities... we wish we could have stayed longer. All the animals seem content, happy, and taken care of so no complaints. The history of the place is touching and Im so glad theyre still open saving these animals. Wait until you meet Timmy and Fred! Theyre old men but they still have attitude! Haha. Would love to visit again in the summer to feed the gators.
Visited Sunday at opening with my 3yr old. Very friendly staff and a clean facility. Plenty of animals to keep the little one and myself interested at every turn. From turtles, snakes, alligators, monkeys, large cats a bear and many more. Being able to feed most of the animals makes for an interactive experience. Would come back again.
For a rescue shelter they are doing their best, and the animal interaction is very nice and amusing. The condition of the animals have nothing to do with anyone working there.Although, I do have to say, all the reptiles needed more attention. The water was always disgusting or empty. Other than that. A good experience
It was a good awesome time but I guess the older guy who works with the actually animals is a little snappie but as we enter the lady at the front was sweet and nice and polite went the extra mile it seem like the guy though wanted to push everyone away so he could go home son ask to see if he could watch put the animals away and he looked at him through his hands up in the air and whats like what and my 6 year old son just wanted to see him grab them and put them away he is just ignorant another than that half of the animals were there cobra was gone couple others to they had were gone they could do a little better on maintenance but was a good 15 min walk through
The animals live in cages. To my knowledge, these people arent wildlife biologists; they want your money at the expense of keeping animals in captivity. Some of the animals appear to have been lacking professional veterinary care. The black bear appears to have dental decay. Apparently the U.S. Department of Agriculture performed an inspection on June 17th; according to their inspection report, the last time the bear had an oral exam by a veterinarian was over 10 years ago! The USDA inspection report is publicly available online.
Such a sad place. These poor animals are confined to small, unnatural enclosures. The USDA has had to intervene due to the lack of veterinary care. Giving your time and money to this place allows them to continue to treat these animals in an uncaring and neglectful manner.
This was my son’s favorite part of our trip! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can clearly see their passion for the animals. I love the variety of animals. The snake collection is the biggest I’ve ever seen. It was also a great experience feeding the animals. It was the first time I fed a bear lol. The monkeys are hilarious. The Snake & Animal Farm is a fun experience for all ages.
This place is perfect especially for little ones or just a quick visit to the zoo. Feeding the pigs or bear is probably my favorite but there are many animals to look at. Best time to go is when its raining! Not many people there and theres a roof over your head as you walk through. Will definitely be coming here frequently!
We absolutely loved it here! The kids, grandparents and parents all enjoyed it so much and we cant wait to go back. We wish we could have purchased more food for the animals, we have 2 children and were only allowed to buy 1 tray. We honestly could have stayed there all day feeding the adorable animals.
Ok so this place is great for the children and adults who love feeding pets and getting a peak at rescued animals. The staff is so kind and they also jave a little shop inside which I feel for the poconos is ver fair priced.I grabbed some jam and bottled fed some pigs and goats honest it was just a great little stop! Enjoy
This was a great experience for the whole family. The animal caregiver at the reception desk took time to introduce the animal habitat and some ground rules to us. We followed and enjoyed petting turtles, feed goats, monkeys, lemurs, black bear and pigs. We never saw so many snakes and crocs in one place! I highly recommend visiting this farm
Enclosures look small and cramped for these animals that should have wide open spaces and not just cold concrete blocks to sit and lay on. Aside from visitors feeding them through a pvc pipe I hope they get actual meals and necessary nutrients they need. I feel sad for them.
Fun family friendly attraction. We love coming here, the outside animals are always out and the inside animals enclosures are always clean and easy to see through. The kids love it here and its affordable. Parking is easy and the place is traditionally clean and friendly.

2022-05-03It’s a small but very nice place. We kinda went in when it was still cold out so the gators were all inside. But everyone of the staff was really nice and the animals were very well taken care of! Great place to take the kids and watch how excited they get to see all the animals!

2022-06-11Small family run animal farm, very attractive for kids. Buy feeding tray to feed monkeys who catch tossed food, feed milk bottle to the goats and pigs, dry food for the black bear. Next to the busy road, be careful with kids. Took us 30 min to see all.

2022-07-01Very nice, small little zoo! I spent about an hour just walking around and learning about the different animals. Theyre all very well taken care of! Definitely would recommend to others looking for something fun to do on a low-key day.

2021-09-07Very friendly and informative employees. Animals are cute and reactive around visitors and seem well taken care of. They use quality food to feed their animals and it was a very fun pit stop for our trip to the Poconos. I fell in love with the pigs. They were so cuddly and loved interacting with people.

2021-08-20Fun kids animal/zoo place in Poconos. Clean and very organized. They have feeding options for kids to feed the animals. Most important thing we noticed that all animals have interesting background history. If you are in Poconos with family, this is a definitely good spot for visiting.

2022-05-16We love this place!!! Its small but that makes it great for us! I have an autistic child that cant handle big crowds! This place spaces the groups of people coming in, so they dont have a lot of people in at one time! Its also small enough that you can be in and out within an hour and see and do everything in that time frame! The staff was very friendly and inviting! A must see and we will be back! The best part was getting to fees the monkeys! So amazing!

2021-07-12Very cool and affordable little zoo staffed by super friendly and knowledgeable folks, I wasnt disappointed. Price point is great and includes a tray of fruit, dry pellets and a baby bottle filled with milk to hand feed the piggies. Great for any animal lover looking to interact with some critters and especially great for kids!

2021-07-12This actually turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I¹ll be honest, I have probably driven right past this place at least 2 or 3 times a week for over a quarter of a century and never stopped. My wife and I had some of our grandchildren with us. The weather was uncooperative for outdoor events, and as we were passing by my wife suggested we take them here. It was GREAT. The kids had a ball feeding the animals in the petting area. It was way more than just snakes. There were monkeys, sloths, raccoons, lemurs, parrots, Bob cats, pigs, even a bear. The list goes on. Not overly crowded, you get to go at your own pace. Reasonable, family friendly, clean, all in all, a great little place to take the kids for a few hours.
