I visited the reading terminal market and it was really fun. A lot of food vendors and options to explore.You can literally spend the whole day there. it’s a must see if you are in Philadelphia.I highly recommend to all tourists and locals.Good Service ✅Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅
From the coffee abs pastry and treats to the savory world flavors, this is one of the best things in Philadelphia and one of the best food halls in the United States! This is a must do if you’re visiting Philly! I have traveled all over the world to different food markets and this is one of the absolute best! I’ve been multiple times and everything I’ve eaten has been excellent!
Very cool, large indoor farmers market with a wide variety of options… bars, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, general stores, fresh seafood, and much more. Quite the experience but also a great place to take care of your everyday shopping needs.
Wow! I heard about the Reading Terminal Market before but this is the first time I actually went there. The place is amazing! It is like an oasis in the heart of the city It has everything you could ever want when it comes to food. Fresh vegetables, meats, fish, breads and desserts. Plus there are so many different places to eat. Italian, cheese steaks, chicken, subs…… you get the picture. If that doesn’t satisfy you then relax at the fully stocked bar. This place is a must visit when in Philly.
The must see/taste for foodies in Philadelphia. The market packs everything from a diner to pastries, cheessteaks, vietnamese and even groceries and so much more. Superb place to go with friends. Dutch Eating Place is perfect breakfast food.
This is a MUST place to go when visiting Philly; everything we ate there was delicious; you will find lots of options, you named! Great atmosphere, quality and variety.
I always make an effort to stop here when Im in Philly. Great selection of different shops and restaurants I always find something new when Im there I love The gourmet corn dog place they got and also in the back they have a great selection of cheese and jams. It can get a little unbearably crowded on the weekends so its better to go during the weekdays if you can
Very nice market with a wide range of products and different types of food. We visited a few times. Had a Philly cheese steak one day and Thai food another day. It is big enough to spend one or a few hours and if you’re hungry and are in the neighborhood you can always find something you like in this place.
Here with my dulce niña. Coming here brings memories. This is a special place, come and enjoy any food. From Philly cheesesteaks to Cajun and sushi. Fresh fish if you like to take home as well. With sweets, ice cream or cake. You pick. Bathrooms are in the back and busy.
Everytime I come into Philly I have to stop in here. It my favorite place to shop for food and find new and old favorites. Kamals is always a must. I love there fresh pressed juice. This time I got a carrot, apple, orange and spinach juice and you cant leave without baklava and grape leaves.Luvs Deli is always a nice treat. I picked up some vegan turkey to take home and a Reuben sandwich for lunch! It was excellent

Great place to have lunch if you are visiting. Offers a very eclectic food option. Prices are a little high as far as Im concerned but they do seem to be fair to the area. I would definitely come back and frequent more locations in the future.
One of my favorite places on Philadelphia of all-time. Theres simply so many vendors, businesses, people, food and snacks to look at and enjoy. The only downside is I wish there were outside seating as well, but it wouldnt be conducive as it would probably obstruct the sidewalk in a busy part of downtown.Im always impressed by the number of employees who keep it running/staffed in addition to the number of people eating, meeting, talking and shopping about. Also the majority of people wore masks, which is great. The food court can packed though, which is difficult to physically distance. Overall highly recommend.
Loads of choices and packed with enthusiastic costumers. We went there early at 9 am and was still crowded . Good option for visitors as its near the peter pan bus area and you can dive there for a quick meal.
This is an exceptional farmers market or market, with diverse fare. I love visiting here. The food and goods are wonderful!
A must visit when in Philly. There is food for everyone. Pork sandwiches, cheesesteaks, pastries, pretzels, and on and on… all delicious and cooler than the one before. It can get crowded so consider visiting during week.
This place has some of the best food in the city. Theres an abundance of variety and goodness. I love the crowds and energy here.
If youve never been to the Reading Terminal, then what are you waiting for? This place has any and every type of food that youre looking for.The Christmas Season is one of my favorite times to come thru. Even though a lot of stores were closed the time of my last visit, I still got what I mainly went there for.I used to work one block away from the Reading Terminal, and I love this place, but I didnt love the weight I gained from my daily visits 😅People travel hours, coming from state to state just to visit. Put this place on your bucket list when you come to Philly.
Love, love, love the ribs from the rib joint in the NE corner. So good you don’t even need the sauce. Just don’t forget to grab a pack of utensils. 😂
You should defo pop in here when you visit as there is some nice food places. Plus good to see the inside of the market. Its a good experience for anyone visiting the city.
Even on a snowy, rainy day such a lovely place to be with amazing food. Parked in garage right across and with market purchase the cost is only $5 for 2 hours.
Reading Terminal Market is favorite stop of ours when we pass through Philly. We have been four times and hopefully will get to visit in the future. There is so much to choose from. Lots of little restaurants with tons of food varieties. Many shops and even small grocers and butchers selling fresh foods. Days and hours vary on many of the shops so plan ahead.
The atmosphere of the market is so good. There are various foods and drinks. I bought a cheese steak and a coffee and sat on a chair and looked around the market and people for three hours.
Super cute and interesting place to visit! Nice that there’s a seafood and vegan place, but do note, like the good ole Philly cheesesteaks we know.. it’s a very meat forward establishment!

Super busy full of people especially on the weekends, many types of food, excellent philly cheese steaks, hard to find a place to sit.

Really cool multi-store market with what seems to be fresh produces, meat, fish, etc. They also have good food stands with a variety of cuisines. This is a nice spot to spend a few hours exploring and enjoying the ambience and the people of PHL. Reminds me a lot of Granville Island Market in Vancouver.
The food we had was greatIt was very busy ,which was expected and lots of school groups... A unique experience while visiting Philly. Eating on site was crowded but it seemed seasoned people were used to taking orders to go. The prices for the market regular shopping is fair pricing for locals. I would do this again,maybe earlier than 430 to 5 pm but it was great after a wonderful day of site seeing

The market is packed with a variety of ready-to-eat foods - anything you can imagine. Sandwiches, pizza, salads, sushi, coffee, cookies, ice cream, doughnuts - the gauntlet of all varieties of foods. There are minimal fresh food stands (fish, produce, etc). Definitely worth a shot if your group wants a quick bite, a sweet treat or snack - and you’re looking for variety. There are some places to sit inside, but not many.
This is one of the best places to visit in Philly! Foods from around the world, fun items and Millers has a pretzel cheese steak! Great sweets, savory treats, and fun shops!
If youre in Philly this is the place to experience. All different kinds of food, chocolate, flowers, baked goods and the famous Philly Cheesesteak. I LOVED THIS PLACE. Its somewhere everyone should experience.
They had lots of options of almost any cuisine you could think of. It was very crowded and overwhelming, but everyone could get their own thing and enjoy it. Really cool vibe
A must stop place every visit to Philly and I try to time my flights to have lunch here. Tried El Murkury for the first time and might have my new favorite lunch place.
Love it here! So much good food to choose from and its hard to choose where to eat. I got some Whoopie Pies. I recommend the pumpkin one!! I cant remember the name of the place exactly but I believe it was called The Flying Monkey. If you ask around people that work there they can tell you recommendations! We did that 😊 I also got local gin and some cucumber tonic water to mix it with. And lastly some coffee and loose leaf tea! Afterwards we walked off the food around the corner in Chinatown.Had a good afternoon. A lot of people were going to the Phillies game afterwards and seems like a good idea for next time.
Fantastic collection of shops, grocers and restaurants that would make anyone happy. There is something for everyone here. Some places are closed on certain days, so check their hrs of operations. Our family had a great experience here and will be coming back!
Oh my gosh this is like the cutest place EVER!!! I love how this whole market was set up!!! It has something for everyone from cookies to veggies and everything in between!!! Overall I would DEFINITELY recommend coming here it is perfect for lunch or a midday snack!!! I will DEFINITELY be coming back if I’m in town!!!

Had heard about it a lot since I came here and finally got a chance to visit the place just get out and eat in the neighborhood.If you are a vegetarian or vegan, trust me all you can have is good ice cream or juice ... Not a lot of vegetarian options. Few places do serve but when asked, like at Carmens, they said they dont serve anything vegetarian.Though my friends did have Cheese steak and they liked it but it was pricey and way too heavy.Ambience 2/5Taste 3/5Service 3/5Serving 3/5Price 3/5Overall 3/5
Highly recommend this market place! It is large with all kinds of food (e.g., Philly’a signature cheesesteak, Asian - Thai, Japanese, etc., pretzels, sausages, spaghetti, seafood, ice cream, desserts).Definitely a great stop for lunch or early dinner!!!
Love love this place. My fave cheeses is actually here and very underrated. Clean and with sanitizers available. Lots of food options, produce markets and some Knick knacks. It’s walkable to everywhere.
Its everything I expected it to be. If you love public markets this place is incredible. Tons of vendors, loads of great products and so much amazing food! I highly recommend grabbing something to go and heading over to Love Park to eat it. The churros from the Central American place were delicious but the ice cream was melting and they were extra messy. Still we loved them.

We walked through the aisles three or four times before making a decision. Do try the cookies too from the really old establishment on the outer side. We had pressed juice from the Amish. Amazing! They aren’t there on sundays but there are places to sit. Try toSqueeze going here a few times lol

Was in Pa for the aesthetics convention and we stopped here! There was a spot that had a bunch of desserts (known for their moon pies). I ended up getting fruity pebble rice crispy treat and it was phenomenal!!! However, I cant remember the name of this place to save my life. But the lady running it was super nice and friendly. Id definitely give her business again.
My favorite part of visiting Philly. Everything under one roof: spices, flowers, produce, huge selection of cooked foods, meat, gifts, grocery, nuts, candies, fudge, desserts, liquor, Amish vendors, etc. FAVORITE MEAL: Hershels East Side Deli’s Corned Beef Reuben sandwich & their Peach Icetea by Swiss Premium ❤️
What a lovely idea to have an indoor flea market! We went to drop a friend off at the terminal and decided to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and options available fro meals, confectionery, dessert, juices and locally made alcohol. We were spoilt for choice really. Also available are fresh fruits, vegetables and cold cuts in meat. Definitely coming back from NJ to spend a day and do some shopping but we went back with a Caribbean Meal, desserts and some local brew

Awesome indoor market with plenty of delicious pastries, sandwiches, and other things to try. Some of the shop owners were kinda rude but thats just how it is sometimes.
This is a food lovers dream! It is far more than a food court. We had so much fun exploring the variety of restaurants, delis, produce stands, and bakeries. There is minimal seating available at most shops, as well as some centrally located tables.
This place literally has everything!!!! Such wonderful food. Hustle and bustle of the city in a friendly fabulous atmosphere
This place is no joke. To call it a food court does it no justice. Its more like a Whatever-U-Desire Cook 2 Order Bazaar! Even the cookies are awesome. I had oxtails and a chocolate covered peanut butter cookie. Both excellent. Wanted the fried chicken and waffles but the line was too long.

Absolutely amazing so much under one roof. Every kind of delicious food you can think of. The Fudge at Muellers Chocolate Co is melt in your mouth heavenly. Amazing
Went there yesterday...havent visited Reading Terminal in years! they had a few great vendors that were black owned as well! great way to support those businesses for black history month!
My kids loved it. I have never hated anything more. 20 minutes for a burger with no line. When I asked why she rudely said we have an entire restaurant to service. Insane!!!!Wall to wall people. No organization.The food wasnt that good.I could not wait to get out.
5 stars for the visit on Monday after the weekend. As it is a major tourist attraction the crowds make it a bit overwhelming and inconvenient during the weekend, next time I wont go there on a Friday or Saturday, several shops are already closed on Sunday so I dont recommend that as an option if you want the full experience. The face mask requirement is not enforced which is a bit irritating considering the amount of people who are in a small space, quite a few inconsiderate people each day we stopped by here. This is an excellent place to grab a bite to eat, Beilers donuts is a must stop, some of the best donuts in Philly here. The Dutch Eating place is also an excellent breakfast stop with incredible friendly staff and some of the fastest service you will ever experience! I definitely recommend checking it out, but be prepared for crowds on the weekends.
I don’t even know how to explain the awesomeness. It was just… awesome. Has a historic and yet laid back feel, much like Philly does in general. Seems like a great place to hang out with your friends if you live in the area. I’m a little jealous of the locals, but mostly happy for them.

This place is amazing! We stopped in to get sandwiches from one of the vendors that were recommended to us by a friend while we were in route to Philly for another purpose. We are both glad that we did. The sandwiches were delicious (although we both thought that the meat to bread ratio in the sausage was a little bread heavy) especially their award winning roast pork! The meat was cooked to perfection so that it was super tender and seasoned very well.We also experienced sensory overload at the sheer number and variety of different offerings that the to numerous to count vendors had to offer. What was supposed to be a quick lunch break rapidly became a impromptu shopping spree. My sister and I both bought lots of different items including artisan sausages, hand made licorice, hand made breads, chocolate covered pretzels and locally distilled liquors that were sold by very knowledgeable salespeople that offered free samples of some of their spirits.This is a old and old fashioned city center market much like union market in DC and Lexington market in Baltimore where one can truly get to experience the cuisine that the city is long known for. Its a must stop for a foodie such as us.
The Reading Terminal Market was Great! Its so nice to see that things are starting to get back to a new normal! Food was good, great atmosphere and plenty to see and do!
Hands-down my favorite part about visiting Philadelphia! The whole feel of the market was really cool. The diversity in food and people was awesome. As a bonus I got brisket from a guy who looks like a prettier version of Tom Hardy but with tattoos. 10/10 would recommend.PS- skip to liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Too many amazing places to choose from. A little something for everyone. Flower shops to dessert spots to the best turkey sandwich ever.
So good, we came here twice! Hershel’s makes a phenomenal Reuben. We were eyeing the Dutch Place - beware, it is closed on Sundays! The line for Ma Lessie’s chicken and waffles was practically around the block - must be phenomenal. It was a little slow moving so we got the chicken and waffles at Pearl’s instead, which were delicious. This is also a great spot to get pastries from Termini Bros if you don’t want to head over to the Italian market area.

Very busy place. Currently masks are required. Very diverse selection of food and grocery items. Lots of different ethnic food choices. Easy to navigate with a grid structure. ATMs available and clean bathrooms. Places to sit and eat. Lots to see and great history.
It was fun to walk around and look at all the food, restaurants, and shops. We decided on the By George cheesesteak hoagie. It was very good. We then had the Termini Bros cannoli for dessert. I liked the marscapone with chocolate chips.

One of the best food halls I’ve been to! A variety of foods to try. A few farmers markets to pick from. Plenty of fresh meats to buy. It was clean. Looking forward to my next visit.Edit: 2/2022I finally visited agin and the food did not disappoint. I enjoyed some samosas fromNanee’s Kitchen. The donuts from Beiler’s doughnuts melted in my mouth. I loved the carrot and ginger snap cake from Flying Monkey. The cream cheese icing is amazing! The whoopie wasn’t tasty to me. It was very dry in my opinion.
Reading terminal has always been a great place to stop for lunch. So those who go every week, have you tried every shop? Because all I saw were people getting fried chicken and collard green with Mac and cheese. You can make that at home in literally 15 minutes. Which is shorter than the line you stood in.
Very nice indoor market, converted from what used to be a train station, and it is a local landmark. Here you can find a lot of interesting things from Philly Cheesesteak or Hoagie shops and other kinds of little eateries to coffee shops to meat shops to bakeries to shops that sell little international crafts to produce, etc. I included one of my personal favorite eateries and coffee shops in my photos. The only problem is that it gets too overcrowded sometimes. Otherwise, this place is very interesting and a must-see on your to-do-list during your visit to Philly! I always stop here when I visit the Philadelphia Area…

Exceptional food vendors and dessert shops all bundled into a bustling block-wide space with a friendly atmosphere.For all that I deeply, deeply love Reading Terminal, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s gotten a little too crowded in recent years. It’s growing increasingly hard to find seating and even just to go from one point to another. Obviously if you’re concerned about COVID you should avoid this place like the plague.
There is so many fantastic places to eat here. There’s no other place like this place in the entire country.
Great shops with so many food options. I didnt have one bad thing. There are a few gluten free stalls and others with a few gf items. Definitely worth the time to investigate and dine. Its better to go mid-morning or around 2pm to avoid the crowds. If you go at peak times the lines are significant, and theres nowhere to sit or even stand to eat.
4 stars just because it was a fun experience. The food and drinks are overpriced, but thats okay considering this is a hot tourist attraction. Wait time on some of the lines is kind of ridiculous, but my bf and I waited almost an hour for a philly cheese steak that has cream cheese in it (from Carmens - we added toppings at extra costs). It was tasty enough, and kind of worth the wait. Some of the stores were either shut down or closed.
Great local spot for tourists and people who live here. Bunch of mom and pop spots clustered in one tight space. There are so many different spots to eat. You could literally go restaurant hopping to each one. The place is packeD all the time and I only wish the place was bigger and opened for longer hours!
Loved it. This place feels like a market :) I was a visitor in Philly so all I did was tour around and have lunch here. But will highly recommend. I had some Filipino food but youll find several other cuisine here.
If I could eat/shop here everyday for the rest of my life, I would. We ended up coming here everyday during our vacation for lunch & didnt even make a dent in all of the things we wanted to try. So many different cuisines & everything is pretty affordable.
Such a neat place to go in the heart of Center city. Try different foods and culrures, then go and get yourself some sweets or flowers, or jewelry, or shoes, or a nice small batch bottle of liquor. This place has everything except the kitchen sink... well wait... they do also have cooking classes here as well
What a wonderland! More than Indepence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and all the historic stuff, the Reading Terminal Market is what made me fall in love with Philadelphia. You can get anything you could ever want here from international foods to chicken feet. There are plenty of restaurants serving up hot meals, several with seating but if not there are centrally-located tables and chairs and a room on the inside of the block. I ended up at the Dutch Eating Place and was happy with my cheeseburger (but I apparently should have gotten the hot turkey sandwich, says the ladies next to me), and a Beilers donut, which I do not regret at all. There are loads of sweet options, from donuts, cookies, fudge, chocolates and more. International options like Indian, Chinese, Greek, etc. And actual market items like a produce section, butchers, and delis. Its almost all food but there are also a few clothing, souvenir, and accessories shops - I liked one with Persian leather bags.
I absolutely loved this place. So many things to choose from. I could spend a couple days in there and not see everything. We got dried fruit,Thai food for lunch, cannolis, and beeswax lip balm. Would have gotten groceries and fresh fish if we werent traveling. Ill definitely go back!
The food tourist hot spot in Philly. The market is amazing and always busy. The food is very diverse and everyone should be able to find something they like here. My favorite part is the atmosphere though. You will walk and see all types of food, people, and shops. It’s a place that anyone visiting Philadelphia must see. Please like if you find this helpful!

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️if you have anxiety this is NOT the place for you. Its extremely crowded, and there is a pleathra of strong smells. (I made this mistake)However, if you can handle the people, this is an amazing experience. There is every kind of food you can imagine and the coolest shops. Amazing environment, however it seem like it might be in the sketcher side of town.
Amazing place.Looks like enough food for a whole country.Dozens of specialty bakery goods.Cooked sandwiches, frozen treats, liquor, hundreds of chickens butchered, pork chops, pork roast, pork steaks . . . Candy, ginger, honey, flowers, dairy . . .I have barely scratched the surface.A little hectic, a little crowded, lot of fun.
Its been years since I have back home in Philly and have missed Market like crazy! 😍 It didnt disappointed during week and Saturday everyone was open with crazy fresh products! I now live in Raleigh NC and we dont have individual butchers or fish markets it was food overload!
Always a great place to check out when in the city, especially if you are checking out an event at the convention center. There are not only vendors to purchase items, but also a great variety o places to grab a meal or snack.This may not be the best place to go if you do not like crowds (I have mostly only gone on weekends)
This is an amazing food experience. You can buy all kinds of fresh meat, fresh fish, cured meats, produce, herbs and any other grocery items. Grocery items. But you can also find a lot of sandwiches and ice cream and cakes and donuts and other prepared foods to eat on the premises. It is a very lively market.
I love this place. But very crowded, rude people and even some of the vendors were rude.
Omg. They sell.. EVERYTHING.You can literally live here and eat something different 3 times a day for a month. I was pleasantly surprised, and the prices on liquor are hard to beat.That said, its also essentially a COVID farm, with hundreds of unmasked bodies just breathing on each other making the air feel thick.I definitely recommend it but bring SCUBA gear if you dont want to get the Cove.

Easily the best food market I’ve been to. Lots of choices to eat, fresh meat/fish/produce and gifts for purchase. Sizes are generous and food was amazing.

There’s an insane amount of options for local and global foods! I wish I had more time to explore each shop carefully before making my final decision of where I was going to eat as everything looked fantastic. It’s a very busy and loud place so I’m happy I grabbed my food to-go and enjoyed it at a nearby park.
We visit Pearls Oysters and they have breakfast all day!! The staff is quick and nice. food is plenty and good taste. You can have a good coffee and cookie just back at you.
The Philly steak was good. The roast pork sandwich was delicious as well. Would love to visit again to try more foods here. The combination of snacks and meats are endless
Lots of options for discerning palates. As a vegetarian, my favorites were an Indian restaurant serving spinach and feta samosas, and some delicious salads at a place with Burger in the name. I hear the cookies near the 12th street entrance were very delicious as well!
I came here on a Wednesday afternoon by bus in late June 2022. It was a cloudy, a bit cold, and dreary day but right when I walked my mood picked up. This place is huge! I walked down every aisle.There is everything here. I could not decide on what I wanted so I chose a dessert place right in the middle of the market where they sold whoopie pies and Fruity Pebbles marshmallows treats, which is also what I ordered along with a hot English Breakfast tea. I forget the name of the place but there are more than one place that sells whoopie pies in the market.I am so glad there is a space in the middle of the market with tables and chairs for you to sit and eat whatever you bought, since a lot of the stores did not have their own seating area. It is worth taking a look if you have a family or a group who have different taste in food and would like more food options. I enjoyed it just by myself.
The best open food market I have ever been to. Parking is the only drawback. $$$ Love downtown Philadelphia.
A must visit destination to all of the visitors from out of the State. We came from upstate NY and we had a blast. The variety of food and drinks are unbelievable

Awesome place, reminded me of the farmers market in LA. Had some fantastic juice, a crepe, Doughnuts, and almond pastry. The shop owners were very nice and there was so much to choose from...we could have ate there all day!
Lots of food stalls with delicious treats! I highly recommend the Dutch Eating Place for breakfast and DiNics for the roast pork sandwich.I cant wait to come back to Philly and explore the rest
Love this place- amazing variety of dining options as well as a market with lots of fresh produce and meats.Closes 6 PM so plan ahead if you are going for dinner.Its always crowded and is often difficult to find seating but if you are patient you will find it.
We love Reading Terminal Market and go here every time we’re in Philly.Today we weren’t pleased though. We got ice cream and with current covid regulations in Philly, you can only eat it in the designated seating area. This area was full and there was a line of about 30 people waiting to get into the area. We f we would have waited in line our ice cream would be milk.Beware if you’re going there right now.

Ok so I really wanted to enjoy this place since I read great reviews on it. Going there for the first time, it was cool since it was like a food bazaar and a bunch of different dining options and dessert options in one place. But as I frequent the market more and more, I just get more disappointed each time. It’s crowded and can be overpriced. Pretty much a tourist trap 😩
At the risk of being unkind, I just have to comment that Covid really has impacted the quality of this market as a whole. I sure hope it can bounce back but unfortunately the market seems much more geared to the tourist population, with a strong slant to a cheaper, less quality outcome. What was once so charming about the market was a good usage of the market by locals with a varied selection of goods. There are a few good vendors left, so thats good. It just seemed so seedy...from the guy outside singing with a drum, with a large speaker, that makes the entry obnoxiously loud. Really? One good thing...the parking garage across the street finally got a guard so patrons dont get threatened by panhandlers for not giving them money! The city really needs to help this market and its environs in order to not lose the character of this market.

A MUST GO if you’re a foodie and in Philly. Not even a foodie just if you eat food and like it. So if, you’re not C-3PO and have a digestive system, go, you won’t be disappointed. There is every good type of food you could possibly want to eat here: hoagies, pastries, deli, fries, donuts, pretzels, cheesesteaks, pizza, chocolate, coffee shops, soups, noodles, chicken, fresh seafood, small grocery shops, local vendors , and everything is good. Tip if you’ve never been and you’re driving there: parking across the street is expensive, although most places inside if you spend $10 or more will validate your parking. Turns it from like $35 to $5 for 2 hours. 2 hours is the max tho for that price that’s the only unfortunate thing. Bring your parking ticket with you into the terminal so they can validate. Be prepared during a busy time to wait in some lines to get your items. If you’re with a few people it may help to walk through and survey the land to make a strategy of what to eat ahead of time then divide and conquer and plan to meet up at one of the sections with tables. It might not hurt if you have a spare friend who isn’t good at doing things like handling money, remembering peoples orders, or just standing to nobly send them to use their Patrick life skills and sit like a rock reserving your table. Overall very much worth the time. Give yourself a decent amount of time to have the full experience here. It’s in a really cool environment of a few city blocks worth of food shops that smell, look and taste so good your tastebuds will send you a thank you card written in saliva calligraphy.

It is a local market, with a great variety of businesses in the city, all good. The 100% recommended By George Sandwiches and Beilers Donuts. We sat down to eat there and the tables and the place very clean everything. Good place to learn about local Philadelphia cuisine
One of the most famous places to visit in Philadelphia. This market offers variety of foods for both shopping and eating. Right in the downtown. It closes by 6Pm therefore plan early to visit. You can also purchase fresh produces and meats; fish. Seating is limited. A must visit place in downtown Philadelphia.
This place has soooo many eateries in it, the aroma once you step inside makes it so much harder to choose where you wanna go first, unless you have a specific taste in mind. It also has some other stores where you can actually purchase some items such as hats, scarfs, necklaces, and even a herbal place. I cant wait to visit again!!!

Reading Terminal Market transform after 6:00 pm and host wonderful events such as weddings, corporate parties you name it. Weve had the opportunity to work with them through AAE and love how each time we go the Market transform itself into a gastronomic dream. Its indeed one of a kind venue to celebrate your party!
This is a must see if you are visiting Philadelphia and want to taste great local foods. From roast pork sandwiches to hoagies and more. The only reason I give it four stars is because it is usually quite chaotic inside. I would suggest walking the market, deciding on what you want and then splitting up to wait in lines. This way you are not waiting in line for 20 minutes for a sandwich, only to wait in another line for a smoothie.
Such a huge variety of everything! Food, sweets, produce, places to eat, Amish baked/cooked goods, definitely something for everyone! Can get little crowded sometimes. That just goes to show you how popular this spot is has something for everyone!
This place is the best. It’s an international smorgasbord with eye-catching venues inside. Parking is a little hard but if you spend $10 one of the vendors inside the market will validate your parking and it will only cost you five or $10 depending on how long you’re there. The parking garage that I use is right across the street so it’s super convenient. Don’t forget to stop by Nina’s for her amazing banana pudding.
This place is pretty freaking amazing!!!! I loved the fact that there are do many different shops and restaurants. My favorite was the cute little coffee shop. Not only was the coffee divine, it smelled freaking amazing!!!!! If youre ever downtown, visit this little gem!!!!
I love visiting reading terminal. If you can go right when they open on the weekends it is pretty relaxing, but lines can be long cause they dont have as many spots open. Has a little bit of everything here. Great for grab and go as well as making a lot of people happy in a group. Cute little shops as well if you need a little gift or pickmeup.

What an experience! We purchased fresh spices, teas, Mac-n-cheese, pound cake and Chinese food all in one place. Absolutely blown away and will def return.
Lots of great places inside the market. They really could use better and more affordable parking, but that’s center city. They also need to finish upgrading and opening additional seating areas. The dining areas get really crowded at lunch.
Large, busy market with a lot of variety of prepared foods, fresh food and veggies. Just need better / more signs indicating what doors lead to what street. Very easy to get lost and turned around in there
I dont get to come here often so it is like an expensive treat to myself. It can feel a bit overwhelming with so many places to eat. It will definitely be overcrowded around lunch time so finding seating will be a problem. Overall its a good place to grab food on the go.
So many delicious options! I got 6 taquitos at El Merkury and they were super good. The desserts were good too I recommend the flying monkey bakery. Also, try to go on a not-so busy day of the week because it was sooooo busy. But a for sure recommend 👍
So many options (vegan too) which is great but also a little overwhelming. Pricey for the area ($11-15 for a meal) and some places close earlier than others! I went around 4:30pm and half the places were closed or closing up

Amazing! Anything you want at different stalls. Freshly made food and food ready to be cooked at home. Make sure to stop and get a cookie from Famous 4th Street cookie. They treated my boys wonderfully
Cant go to Philly without a visit to Reading Terminal Market. Got tons of tasty treats from a variety of vendors. Especially loved the sweet potato pies from Sweet Ts. Cant wait to get back to the Market!

I absolutely love the reading terminal. There are so many fresh food options, and many different businesses that sell customized clothing, jewelry, and snacks. Perfect option if you’re on a budget or want to save money.

Definitely go to the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. Get any kind of food you desire to eat. Very reasonably priced. A fun experience. Eat in or take out.
I was really excited to go here because I had heard about it for years. Im sure there are places inside that have really good food but it was so crowded that I was too overwhelmed to even look at anything. Very small place for so many vendors. Also, for whatever reason I thought it was more than just food, but 99% just food.
What a gem. You will find it all here. If you have a sensitive nose, don’t go. It’s an open market indoors, so expect all the smells to mix. You can find fresh flowers, meats, fish, vegetables... you get my point. It offers a lot of food options. You will find food for every craving here. We specifically went for Carmen’s Cheesesteaks. After doing my research I determined it was best in Philadelphia to grab my favorite food, the Philly Cheesesteak. I was so excited that I ate it before snapping a photo. It was really good. Price is reasonable and worth it. There is a seating area which all restaurants share, so be nice and don’t sit there for hours. One heart breaking thing is that there are so many homeless people camped out in the cold just outside the market. They are polite and some are in need of medical attention. When visiting the market, bring change to help out or bring a sleeping bag to provide a warm night for a person down on their luck.
Best place in Philly in my opinion. Great selection of food and have yet to try 80% of them. Definitely a fun place to hang out and grab food and shop around. It does get crowded on weekends so be prepared to stand in lines for food. Also certain stores are closed on sundays and tuesdays. The star for me was fox and sons cheese curds and corndogs.

Love the Chinese food that I ordered Hunan vegetable with chicken , white rice. Another was turkey with rye wheat bread. And Swiss cheese. Sweet was ice cream and pretzelFrench vanilla and salty Carmel flavor.
From out of state, and we loved this place! So much to look at and tons of different foods to try. A BBQ place in their smelled amazing! We got the kids fresh made donuts with they devoured, we got a cheesesteak sandwich which was amazing (forget the name of the place), cant skip on the fresh cheesecake from Termini Bros! Its absolutely amazing!
Love love this place. It is a bit expensive, but it is fun to buy a bunch of different foods in one spot. Cheesesteaks are a bit smaller than Genos and Pats. Pretzels, donuts and sweets are amazing. Gain 5 pounds in one place, what more do you want out of life?

It was nice, most of cooked food seemed gross but its overall a nice market. Big issue with the name though. People say its pronounced reading while I called it reading others kept telling me it was not reading but instead reading. So confusing.
My go to is the Thai place must get the salmon. I also like the shrimp with bamboo shoots and shrimp lemongrass soup. Also love 4th street cookie and the cheesecake from the Amish Is SO good as well as their doughnuts.
You can find lots of food in this market, but for me I love this “Mueller Chocolate” spesifically
Today we visited and worked with Mr. Barry Jackson. His salesman ship was superb. He made my son feel comfortable and we were able to find a suit for his 8th grade graduation due to Mr. Jacksons wonderful expertise. I recommend the suit Store to everyone.
Very interesting place have so many variety of people the food is fantastic great pricing they just need to improve on their lighting the ceiling is kind of long everybody has their own version of lighting place if they could standardize do you environment you will be super welcoming specially the entrance.
Reading Terminal is the oldest food shopping center In Phila located 12 and ARCH. If you love very fresh sea food, then its here and the meats are very fresh. The Amish ribs are super good and taste great, very tender and juicy.
This is THE market. You can get specialty groceries, meats, cheeses, dry goods, baked goods, etc., but you come for the food shops. Get a pork sandwich with provelone and broccoli rabe from DiNics and eat like a local. For lunch you can split one with your friend. Great price that way.

Delicious combination of unique shopping and diverse foods. Start at Old City Coffee, we tried their own blend black and an almond milk latte. Both were flavorful, dark, and strong. You’ll have to make quite a few visits to try everything. Options range from Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, BBQ, local cheesesteaks and pretzels. An endless amount of sweets both baked and chocolate. Termini Bros offers a great selection of Italian pastries from biscottis to cakes. Metropolitan Bakery offers fresh bread of all kinds. The brioche makes mouth watering French toast.

Omg this is an absolute food wonderland. I’m from out of state and only had a short time to enjoy myself here. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will definitely budget a few hours. For some reason, they closed at 6pm…that is my only criticism. And from 5:30pm on, the cleaning people will literally not let you sit down at any tables to eat. They kick you out lol. But the foods and variety are unparalleled. You MUST get a cheesesteak at Carmen’s; that is nonnegotiable!
Reading Terminal Market is a wonderful food market in the old Reading Terminal, the old Eastern-most terminus of the Reading Railroad. The food offered ranges from Philly classics like cheesesteaks, to Pennsylvania Dutch/Amish dishes, to heavenly desserts and pastries. A must for any tourist or even local visiting Philadelphia.

Ill always love traveling to the Reading Terminal. Various foods and places to check out. Depending on the time, itll be very busy. Be careful about coming there at around 5:10ishp.m. Im sure the workers at Reading Terminal will be ready to pack up and go home.
This place is a food market. Lots of Amish home made goods, meat and fish markets. You will get hungry the minute you open the doors to the reading terminal. They have all kinds of artisan goods and great places to eat. There is a variety of foods to choose from if your hungry, so try an look up whats inside before you enter or youll be screaming i cant decide it all looks so delicious . There was indoor an outdoor seating as well.
If you are a fresh fruit and vegetable fiend, like I am, check out Iovine Brothers Produce in The Reading Terminal Market! I especially love the Tuscan Kale! So green, crisp and fresh! I cook it slow with fresh garlic and butter, add salt to taste if you want. Iovine Brothers Produce is the only place Ive been able to find it! Its very busy and very clean in Iovine Brothers Produce. The staff is very helpful and amazing! I love it and the Pizza place right there at the exit across from Iovines has the best Vegetable Lasagna Ive ever eaten! Unfortunately I dont remember the name of this delicious take out restaurant, but their hot and cold food items are ridiculously delicious! 😋 The staff is friendly, great and efficient! Im hooked after 1 visit! So yummmy! There are lots of other places to shop in and eat at, in Reading Terminal Market. Go check it out!
The perfect place if you need to throw up !I relized i have been eating too much last night, so I decided to follow the suggestion of a friend of mine and went to take a delicious ice cream at Reading Terminal Market and eating it while walking through the fish and fried food stalls.The effect was immediate ! I went to the toilet and threw up.Un fortunately the sinks had a label on them with the caption hand wash water only, so I couldnt wash my mouth and face, I had to resist until home.. Thats why i didnt give the full 5 stars but 4

Mecca! I love a good market. This has to be one of my favorites… visit Miller’s Twist for am amazing Philly cheesesteak stuffed soft pretzel. I love Iovine Bro’s produce. They have all kinds of local goodies. Their juices are great too. So much to choose from.

Great food, busy place. I had a tasty burger from Hunger Burger and it was so good. It tasted similar to shake shack. It is hard to find a seat to eat on busy days, but with some effort you can find some. Food here can be cheap or expensive. It all depends where lol

They have a variety of different restaurants, vendors for meat, seafood, poultry, pork, cheese, you name it you can get it here. What ever type of food you want there is a food spot for you. Great food everywhere... great beer, specially the 312 lemonade shandy at MollysI thought it would be bigger but still incredibly impressed with how clean, well organized and how great everything is set up... you will want to try everything and buy everything.Is a most if you visit Philadelphia and I highly recommend it.

2022-04-03Thats an awesome market, we went during the weekend and it was very crowded.There are so many things to see and eat here, we had such a hard time choosing a spot for lunch.There are also great spots to buy unique ingredients, we especially enjoyed the olive oils and the balsamic vinegars!

Their ice cream was delicious 😋 and their cookies are fresh. Its definitely a must-do when you come to Philadelphia.

2021-12-21I have been dropping off my son at college in Philly for four years and finally made it to Reading Terminal Market. Had I known everything it offers, I’d have stopped here every time. Friendly, happy vendors and patrons, and the variety of cuisines, restaurants, counters, markets, bars, homemade food, snacks, baked goods, crepes, seafood, burgers, liquor, jewelry, cookies, fresh fish, meat, cheese, pastas… I simply cannot explain the joy it is to explore this foodie mecca. I bought cheesecake, subs, pasta, muffins, garlic bread, and I might have bought much much more had time been on my side. A 4 minute walk from City Hall, it should be on everyone’s agenda when visiting center city. Beautifully decorated, well lit, safe, spacious, user-friendly, clean, comfortable, just go:)

2022-06-19A great variety of food and groceries. It is very chaotic in there so I dont recommend bringing small kids, but great for adults. Also, after getting what food you want, I recommend moving somewhere else to eat. There will probably not be any seating available. A must stop in Philly.
