On my visit on 12/17/21 my first room which was rm. 220 had bed bugs. So they moved me to 224 where I seen nothing til I got home and found one on my coat. Showed staff a bed bug I killed and they didnt apologize offer no partial refund nothing. Used to like this hotel met my husband of 10 years here in room 219. Expected better.
Positive: Best Red Roof franchise of the 5 that Ive stayed in the past month Starch breakfast in lobby w/ coffee and juice Negative: Have customers w/ dogs separated by more rooms, especially when low occupancy. Luckily the barks were limited. Larger coffee cups than 6 oz TV guide in room w/ Local channels would help instead of having to repeatedly scroll thru Dish online guide
Positive: Clean comfortable bed¿that it had a refrigerator and microwave plus non carpeted floor¿ Nice staff members at checkin..very courteous .. Price affordable Negative: That you didn¿t have a second chair to set on¿we are seniors and it¿s hard to set on bed during our downtime¿ we had to bring our own folding chair. Our sink has cracks
I dont recommend staying here. They had a phone in the room, and it was disconnected from the wall. They swept all the dirt underneath the beds. The floors was so dirty! The beds are also very uncomfortable. There was 3 adults , and 4 kids. They only gave us 2 towels and wash clothes for 2 nights . We asked for more towels they only gave us 2 more. I dont care for excuses , if you pay to stay at a hotel you should be able to get enough towels for each person. That dont have anything to do with how much staff members there are. HIRE MORE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
Staff was great and very accommodating . Had carry out from pub grill which we enjoyed. Our little blind pup even got tiny milk bone cookies. Room was clean n modern. ESPECIALLY for the rate. Had usb charging between queen beds. Shower curtain curved outward was nice. Directv. It was quiet. Yes there is some construction pipes in back outdoor breezeways but they are remodeling. Plenty parking. Beds comfortable. Ac/heat unit was much quieter than most motels.
Well first the public bathrooms are beyond disgusting. I feel they over charged me because I was using a company credit card and the place was freezing. You get a half a pillow and some one else hair on the toilet and also if you want a barley warm shower this place is for you!
Our room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Price was good. My. husband missed a fridge.but I told him he could have requested one. We booked through Expedia. We ate supper in the Pub+Grill. Was told you get 10%off bill if you show your key card. We didnt show it before the bill was rung up so waitress didnt want to refund everything and ring itup again so didnt get our discount so show your card early.
Prices are good for a week stay they are currently under renovation so there is stuff laying around. Only issue I have is there are no refrigerator or microwaves in the rooms said they only have a few of them and not enough to go around not sure why they cant go buy some $100 refrigerators and a $30 microwave and add to the rooms especially when most every one staying here is working and would love to have something cold to drink in there room. Most guys Im working with dont have a refrigerator and I know we have 8-10 rooms rented.
Room was clean when I checked in, that was the plus for the stay. Was doubled charged for the room, but was given a refund by the third day of stay. Never received any house keeping the entire stay of five days, needless to say, toilet paper ran out and towels were all used and wet by daythree and four. Days 2, 3, and 4, when I returned to my room, I was not able to enter it because the key card would not work, three days I had to walk from the furthest room from the front desk to the front desk to get the key reissued to the room. Trash bags were left everywhere outside of rooms the entire five days I was there, and the walkways were some of the nastiest dirty things I have seen in any hotel. If I werent there to visit family, I would have checked out on day 2, and found another place to stay. The resraunt/bar in the front lobby has some great food and cheep drinks, but closes everyday at 9P.M., or 10P.M. on Fri and Sat. Hard to enjoy a drink when it closes that early. Its called the 120 Pub and Grub, but in my opinion, they should drop the PUB and just call it the 120 Grub. Pubs stay open late, and this is just not a Pub in any sense of the term. It was a quiet stay, but that could be because they put me in the furthest room away from everything, except for the contractors redoing the rooms, I was without a doubt the closest room to them, but I didnt need an alarm clock while I was there, the hammering worked great. So, this is one for now, listed as a travalers beware place to stay, and if you do stay, dont mind all the signs at the front desk, they dont follow any of them.
Wouldnt stay here again. Workers were great but weve never been disrespected by any other Red roof inn when requesting room not be cleaned while we are staying there. Grounds were filthy, having to listen to loud foul language, partying a few doors down another night, shower was awful. Considering its location is a drive from a lot not worth it.
Room was clean and comfortable. We had a great weekly rate. There is a nice restaurant attached with motel and the food was good. Pets welcome because there is outside seating. Within walking distance of several stores so very convenient. I would definitely stay there again if in area.
Staff was friendly but they were doing construction two rooms down from where I stayed. My room was clean, but the building had quite a few rundown and unusable rooms. Maybe post renovations things will be better, but as of today you would be better spending a few dollars more and staying elsewhere.
The rooms are older but VERY clean! The staff was ALL very helpful, nice, and willing to help with anything we needed. We had a very unfortunately rude waitress at the restaurant however the OWNER is AMAZINGLY kind. He had another waitress check on us, fixed the others mistakes, and really made it worth it. We where VERY happy with how everything turned out. ❤️ We want to Thank the staff and the Owner Again! Everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers there deserves all the thanks because they are great! Love, room 109
When the reservation was made I requested rooms on the ground floor and adjoining. The hotel said that would not be a problem and would make the proper notations and will have the rooms for me.When I arrived I was told the only thing available was two rooms beside each other on the 2nd floor. When I asked about my reservation all they had to say was oops. Had I not already paid and it was non refundable I would have left.
Been to four different red roof inns and they have all been filthy !Dirty sheets and linen , floors , no towels , or toilet paper , plumbing urged or overflowing, holes and drywall rottedWeve been using yall for months for our business , but we will no longer !!Your motels are just plain nasty
I had previously left a one star review on a bad stay we had at this hotel. However, we had the opportunity to stay here again and this time it was much better. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the breakfast area was stocked and had coffee available (a necessity!!). If you are stopping in Clearfield, especially with a pet (because theres no extra fee for that), this hotel is very reasonable. We would stay again and expect a positive experience the next time too.
My 3 stars are for the staff that was very nice and accommodating my room was on the top floor which was nice the air worked the way I wanted it and the room was ver clean my only problem is that we was in a wreck and my wife lost half her ear and she had to clean her wound she was wearing a pair of dimond earrings that was forgot on the counter and instead of the cleaning person taking them to turn them in they were stolen I left a tip which I never should of that is not business like we have pictures and the receipt for them earrings and will be making a police report about it but other that that I would return I would stay again with no problems I just wish the lady who decided to keep my wife’s dimond earrings would turn them i don’t want to have to take this any further then wat it really is
Pro: bed comfortable.Cons: No sign of the “renovation” they are supposedly under. Outside and inside room looks like a run down motel in the back woods with no work done on and left to the elements...plus cigarette butts everywhere, toilets and pipes in the corridor. Rough.
What a surprise! After years of traveling between Chicago and Maine and enduring conditions at the Super8 (we have pets), we decided to give the competition a try. Results: well-worn but clean room with an outdoor entrance and friendly staff. Decent breakfast that starts at 5 a.m. (we are early risers). Also, pets stay for free. We will be back!
I stayed at this motel with friends for the Penn state home game ! The check in was fast and easy which I was happy about with two young children standing with me !! but then I went to go to my room and walked around corner and all I heard with one of the house keepers ( with black curly hair) swearing and yelling in front of my children which was very upsetting I was ready to leave when that happens if there was another motel that had a room I would have left ! That was so upsetting for my children to hear that ! I will not take it out on the whole hotel , but I hope that lady has action taking on her for speaking that way in front of children !other then that the room was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay ! We will be back just hope that lady is not there again !!!
Room was clean and restaurant attached to hotel was good. However the water in the shower never got above lukewarm and the smell of cigarette smoke permeated our nonsmoking room, making me (a woman 38 weeks pregnant) and my fiancé, who has a sensitive respiratory system sick. When issues were brought to manager’s attention, she didn’t seem to care very much and just brushed them off with a less than sincere “I’m sorry.” We’ve stayed at many Red Roof Inns and usually have an amazing experience; however we will never return to this one.
Room was fine. More staff needed here. Had a reservation, arrived around 6:30, check-in took a long time (slow computer) and room still wasnt ready. When I asked for clean towels the next day it took 8 hours to get them. Was told by the front desk they had to go to laundromat.
Budget hotel that doesn’t provide towels. We checked in very late, the night clerk was friendly and helpful. I asked if I could have an extra bath towel, the clerk looked in a couple places and said there were none but there SHOULD be towels in the room. After settling in I looked around for the towels, and discovered there weren’t any bath towels in room, just 2 washcloths and 1 hand towel. Arrived late after a full day‘s drive, would have checked out if we weren‘t so tired. Room was dark and depressing but the beds were okay. Not the cleanest of rooms by far. The grounds are in disrepair and not kept clean. There was a garbage can overflowing on the walkway, and it looks like the walkways haven‘t been swept and cleaned in years. A good portion of the motel rooms are closed up and loaded with misc. items. We had to walk by that area to get to parking lot closest to our room, there were AC units all over, construction garbage everywhere. The morning clerk was friendly enough, asked all the right things upon checking out. She asked me how my stay was and I mentioned the lack of towels. With a smile she said that the washing machine broke down and there were no towels at the motel. I asked if all the rooms didn’t have towels, she said correct. How a motel could be open and not provide towels to their clients mind boggling and why they wouldn’t try to get towels to provide their guests is pathetic. When we called to make a reservation the lack of towels should have been mentioned. Not sure I would have taken a shower anyway as the tub was old, rusted and gross. Budget motel or not, towels should be provided to paying guests. I will never ever stay at any Red Roof Inn again. Our reason for choosing Red Roof is that we needed a pet friendly motel, will definitely go to a competitor next time one is needed.
Awesome motel for staying. Right off the interstate highway with friendly staff and good parking lot. Even hold couple semis in the side. Conveniently located to Walmart down the street and Lowes across the street and numerous restaurants as well as a bar pub in the motel. Clean rooms. Good staff. And friendly atmosphere. Great place for the weekend or long term stay. Highly Recommend. Thanks.
This Red Roof has taken over a different hotel and is under construction. It appears to be about 1/2 done. The room we stayed in was redone very nicely. New beds, flooring, tile, paint and furniture. A/C worked perfect. Its great for us as an overnight stay. We went down the road to Sapp Bros for breakfast since their kitchen was not complete yet. Right off the highway so easy on and off, we drove by the driveway at night, since it goes down a hill we missed it. Would stay again if in the area.
We visited this location during its first week of business. The phone had not been properly set up, so staff warned us that 911 would not work. The shower did not drain properly, and was level with the floor of the bathroom because we were in an accessible room. This caused the entire bathroom to flood, including some seeping under the bathroom door and into the carpet in the main room. We were promptly moved to a new room, but were not compensated for the inconvenience. That said, the room was spacious, the hotel was well appointed and clean, the staff were friendly, and the price reasonable. If they can improve on the first-week problems, it has potential to be a great budget motel.Room Tip: The accessible rooms have giant bathrooms
Stopped in for a quick stay on a Friday , check in was very pleasant dealing with Lisa , but kept getting rudely interrupted by another worker behind the desk not sure of name no name tag but she was in pajamas and slippers to me that’s not very professional to have a worker behind a desk while not dressed for work but our stay was great clean room and we got a down stairs room thanks to the manager changing our room for us er was grateful for that . Thank you . We will continue to use this redroof when coming through the area .
The motel room stank of... something. Stale smoke from 1970? There was a dead bug in the bathroom. If it wasn’t 10pm and if we didn’t have a hard stop due to Air Force travel restrictions we would have moved on even though we are beat. Nasty. Save yourself $50 and book somewhere else it’s not worth saving $20. I didn’t book it. My daughter’s boyfriend did. My bad for not helping him out.
Stayed on 3/2/19. No issues, the room was clean beds where good.Made reservations for 2 rooms for 3/23/19. Desk clerk said you will have the same room and the adjoining room. When checked in on 3/23 was told they do not have rooms for me.Had to wait for rooms to be cleaned, my room smelled like dog or something. The desk clerk just kept saying sorry guys. Got tired of hearing that. The when went to check out, tired to charge me for a room i didnt have.Piss poor management not trained right. Will go back to staying at Kylertown. Not as nice but no problems and no damn band blasting till 1am.
The rooms were nice. Lots of tv stations. Comfortable beds. The queen beds seemed almost the size of kings. Very comfortable.Excellent customer service.Main downside is that it had just snowed. The parking lot was icy, and some of the walkways. Thin walls too. Could hear neighbors
Ive been here from January 10th, 2020 and will be here until Jan 15th. My experience so far has had its good and bad moments. The good; [1] rooms are very nicely kept and very spacious, [2] rates are very reasonable, [3] they have free food in the lobby most evenings. Its decent quality and its free so kudos to whoever came up with that idea. Now heres the bad; [1] there is live music (or more accurately guitar-screeching, bass-thumping noise) in the bar until 1am on Saturdays and if your room is anywhere near the lobby you WILL hear it. I called the desk around 11pm to set up a wake-up call and to ask how long the band would be playing. Around 12:45am, after I finally got to sleep, the desk clerk called my room (yes she called the room at 12:45am and woke me up), just to inform me that the band was finished. I have no idea what possessed her to call in the middle of the night for that reason but it was extremely poor judgment on her part. [2] The desk clerk missed the wake-up calls TWO days in a row; the first day by 5 minutes, the second day by 20 minutes. Her excuse was she had things to do, so I guess making the wake-up calls that guests have requested is not part of those duties. So if you arrange a wake-up call with the front desk expect it be late, or to not happen at all. If wake-up calls are such an inconvenience, dont offer them to your guests.Overall this Red Roof is a decent place, as long as you come prepared. Insist on a room thats far from the lobby if you stay on a Saturday night. This Red Roof is leaps and bounds better than the dump it was 2 years ago when I first stayed here. Whoever has been in charge since then has turned it into a nice hotel with clean comfortable rooms. They just need to tighten up a couple of things, like hiring reliable competent desk staff and get rid of that irritating noise thats supposed to pass for music in the bar.
Was relocating from Jersey to Cleveland. Couldnt hit the road on time and started my drive pretty late. Needed a place to rest for a few hours. Pulled over at this location. Plenty of parking space for my big truck. Staff was nice and welcoming. Checked me in very quickly. Room was clean and price was good. She gave me AAA discount even though my card wasnt on me.
Room 121 needed finish construction. Tub cut-out gap outside plate cover exposing unoccupied space. No grab bars in tub/shower. New Years Eve a little noisy. Desk person had few answers perhaps more training is needed. Otherwise the regular room rate not warranted on this room. Discount really didnt cover drawbacks. Clerk claimed $30 higher usually charged. Super 8 may have been better.
The room they put us in first smelt like smoke and it looked nasty. And the bathroom shower above our room was leaking in the bathroom. It needs to be up dated. You can see outside from inside. And who ever painted that place needs to get a different job. Clean up the place and it would be a nice place.
First let me say that Red Roof In is a franchised business and I they are usually my go to when travelling.Booked a king bed suite for a night. Room was supposed to have a microwave but it didnt. Went to the bathroom, no toilet paper at all. Husband had to go down to the front desk to get toilet paper and notified them of the missing microwave so we wouldnt be accused. They told us the microwave was broken, no offer to allow us to change rooms. Laying in bed later that night and my husband noticed that the room does not have a smoke detector or sprinkler. My husband is a fire inspector and a hotel this large is supposed to have both. He went to the front desk to discuss it with a manager and was told they did not have a manager, all the managers had quit.
We arrived around 10 PM and there was a line of three people ahead of me. It took nearly 30 minutes to check in. The gentlemen working the desk seemed to not be concerned about the length of the line. The rooms themselves are OK. We were traveling with our dogs and knowing the hotel was pet frieny, I wasnt expecting a lot.
Went to the Pub n Grub for the first time. There was a guy playing guitar and singing every good Gin Blossoms and Counting Crows and other 90s hits. He was fantastic. There was no cover charge! Quite a few people inside. Lots of TVs for football and tap out. Waiter recommended Cheer beer on tap for only $2. Was good! Burger and fries for $8 and awesome cheddar beer cheese burger with their own hard chips for $12. Totally recommended this place. Glad to have gone and will return.
The room was clean, staff was nice, but the place was in disrepair. The door to the adjoining room had a busted deadbolt and even the bolt lock didnt line up. There was a very bad draft coming from the entrance door to the outside simply because it wasnt weather stripped. The toilet constantly ran and the bathtub dripped.
After traveling for nearly 700 miles on 9/2/2017 I arrived around 10:30 p.m. to discover that the room I had booked through Expedia had been sold out from underneath me with no notification due to a prior days fluke of over 40 guests checking out and the sole cleaning lady being unable to clean all 40 rooms in one day.Because of the inclement weather and the unfamiliarity of the state/location I accepted a room upgrade to a room that was $3.00 more expensive, a total of $68.66. I was handed the keys and then I went to check the room. Turns out in order to get to the room, with slight mobility issues in both me and my partner, we would have to climb a WET, UNLIT stairwell in the pouring rain. Realizing that this was not going to work, I immediately returned to the front office to cancel my room. I was allowed to do so and was informed that since I JUST signed in and then left I would NOT be charged. Oh really? Great I thought! So I left and had to pay nearly triple out of pocket just to book a hotel room for the night in an unfamiliar location.Fast forward to 2 days later, I still have charges for both rooms on my card of 68.66 and 70.84. I called to speak with a manager, no manager was available. How interesting. I am giving them 72 hours to correct these charges, or I will go to my bank for a charge-back for both rooms. If I were you, until they fix their staffing issue and their attitudes on not informing customers that their rooms are no longer available I would highly recommend you avoid this hotel chain.
First let me say that we have stayed with Redroof many times, in different locations, because they are one of the few hotels that are pet friendly. We booked this one online and were very disappointed when we pulled in. The place looked deserted. Not a car in the parking lot, and as we drove around the building looking for the office, every room we passed had filthy windows. We finally decided the office entrance must be in the courtyard, I went in and asked to be shown the room before we checked in and the girl was very accommodating. The floor looked half vacuumed and I wanted real bad to pull the blankets back, but refrained. I would never ever stay at this hotel. In my experience redroof inn had a bad rep for a long time; however, they have really cleaned up their act and offer a great stay for a great price, and your pets are welcome.Just stay away from this one until they catch up.
This is rated a2 star hotel and you should know that going in. The place is clean and fairly well kept for what it is. The staff is friendly theres a restaurant and bar on sight and plenty of other places to get food and drink in the area. if youre just looking to bed down for an evening or two this is a great economical choice. If youre looking for frills and fufu the Red roof and probably isnt the right stay for you
Ive stayed in some shady places traveling the country on motorcycle, and this is without a doubt the worst hotel ever. Food left in drawers from last guests, and worst of all no coffee for the advertised free breakfast. Not even going to take pictures, just trust me that you dont want to stay here
Okay so as a former housekeeper I was in cleaning my rooms for the day and this was my second day on the job as I took notice to some horrible things that where in the rooms I found bugs I the corner of the room the bathroom sink had mold inside of it and the bathroom by the shower had water damage and the pain chipping off the walls the rooms smelled like cat pee and cigarettes they do not clean the windows nor do they care how the work is done they don’t have anyone go in and check to make sure the rooms are done properly the managers are never in and the employees have a foul mouth this is not my first working in a hotel so I am very disappointed it’s not sanitary for people to stay in. I had already contacted someone about this to have it looked into more

2022-05-21Reservations to some rooms are very nice. If you are lucky enough to get one. Personal at desk and housekeeping is great. Not a big fan of Red Roof but definitely a big fan of this particular one.

2022-06-19Gracious staff, clean & comfortable room, great price. I recommend the free RediRewards program. They bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. Oh, and being next to the Interstate, the room was exceptionally quiet.

2022-05-27Friendly staff. Room had most comfortable bed ever, microwave, fridge, computer desk, free TV, free WiFi, upscale vanity. Complimentary continental breakfast, so nice. Towels were fresh, but scratchy. Recommended! Will return.

2022-05-14Okay, first of all, we only spent one night - a Saturday night after a graduation so we didnt have to drive back to Philly the same day. The staff was exemplary - amazingly polite and helpful in every way from the front desk to the maid service. The room was super clean and exactly what we needed - a bed, a TV and a tub.Complaints are structural - there was a giant crack in the stairwell big enough to show daylight through and there was quite a bit of space between the door of the room and the door jam. Also, there is a restaurant in the motel which generated quite a bit of noise OUTSIDE the facility, including an argument that wound up on the second level of the building.A good spot if you just need a bed a can deal with the noise on a Saturday night, but maybe go for somewhere without a restaurant if you want some peace. But again - staff is top notch and the rooms are very well kept!!

2021-12-24Positive: It was clean and updated. Negative: The first room we were given smelled smoky, even though they were very clear that is a non-smoking hotel. But the desk clerk happily and quickly gave us another room and that one was great.

2022-04-10I was iffy about staying here considering how cheap and how it looks on outside and a few reviews on bed bugs because im use to staying in 3.5-5 star hotels but was i surprised after gotten few recommendations from coworkers This red roof is amazing for its price well worth it i am now a fan of Red roof. Rooms were very clean, very nice tv comfortable and clean beds and most importantly NO BED BUGS!

2022-04-04I drove all the way from Canada and stayed one night here in this hotel. Arrived late at around 12:30 in the midnight, the lady at the front desk was super friendly, she explained everything with patient. The room was clean and I think I’ll come back again.
