I recently shattered a keyless remote for my 2008 Ford F-250 and feared the worse on being able to replace it. Fortunately after doing a Google search I found ReplaceMyRemote.com and within 5 days a perfectly new unit arrived and programmed flawlessly to my truck. I would recommend this company without hesitation!
So, I read the reviews from these guys. They are all over the place. Some sites say they are terrible, some say they are great. Who to believe? One thing I did read consistently was that if you followed their advice the results work out well. I DID order from them. It came quickly. I did NOT take it to a dealer, I called a locksmith- 1 they recommended to me. He was able to program and cut the remote and key easily and I DID save around 40% from the dealer costs. They asked me to be honest and write a review for them to try and counterbalance all the bad reviews pissed off people write. No one ever writes good reviews, they said. They were right. If the people with good experiences all wrote a review the sites with low ratings for this company would all be much much higher. Im happy to try and help them get the word out. Use them, do NOT go to the dealer if you do not have to!
Gotta say, there are a lot of bad reviews for this company out there. I called them and asked them why I should trust them after reading so many conflicting stories. Was told that the only REAL review site was this place called Shopper Approved. I looked in to that. I think it may be true after getting reviews on the other review sites (irony in full effect!) Regardless, I took the chance, got a locksmith to pair it to my car (was advised to NOT go to the dealer), and despite having to use a second locksmith (the first one was the cheapest but was proved to be a scam artist) the remote I got was dead on perfect with no issues whatsoever. If I would have used a dealer to pair it they would have robbed me blind after lying to my face that the remote I got here was the wrong item. NEVER BELIEVE THE DEALER PEOPLE! I am sure the reviews are from very angry people that thought they were promised something they never were and are more angry with themselves then this company and just are taking it out on them. The CSRs were very nice, highly knowledgeable about all things to do with my exact remote- showing an incredible encyclopedia of knowledge on these products. They firmly told me to listen to them, not to re-invent the wheel. I did as I was told and the results were a lot more money kept in my wallet that the dealer would have scraped out. I am writing good reviews of this company to show honest people out there the side of the company that I saw. Anyone that passes up the chance to use replace my remote is only %#$* themselves in the end. I will write this review everywhere I can for them.
They do not stand behind there advice and product - they advised me to order a certain model remote for my new 2018 terrain. after 3 calls and waiting for call from them since there server was down, ( for a week) i then find out it was the wrong one. It is correct from the web site. They then tell me they can not refund me my full price since it was programmed. Do not use them -after 3 hours of trying to program and on the phone - better to go to the dealer and get it done right. for just a few dollars more - check other reviews first - My replacement key is cheaper from dealer parts department
THE ONLY REASON I PUT 1 STAR, IS BECAUSE I COULD NOT POST BY SELECTING NONE. I SUGGEST YOU FIND SOMEONE ELSE!I ordered 2 replacement key fobs which I never received. I was told they may have been lost in shipment, during this time my wife ordered replacements through another company and received them with in 48 hours. After a month of not receiving my order, they refused to refund my money. They gave me an option of reseeding the order, or store credit, none of which I need, I refused both and demanded a full refund. There Customer service transferred my email string to the Owner whos only response is a confirmation of re-shipment (another one).
Caring and respectful staff dedicated to helping you with your car remote issues. This is a small business who is trying to succeed in this difficult economy. Business is now located in Elizabethtown PA. Prices very competitive. I recommend this small business for your car remote and key issues.
I recently visited the Replace My Remote shop in Elizabethtown. Super friendly service. The local car dealer wanted to charge about $250 for a new chip programmed automotive key. A locksmith wanted closer to $175 for purchase, cut, programming, etc. After some searching I found this place, and despite the 25 - 30 minute drive I ended up paying significantly less. I called & scheduled an appointment and brought in my vehicle. They replaced the key fob & did all the work in under 30 minutes. While every situation is different & they may not be the right fit for everyone I personally would highly recommend to a friend.
Ordered an own remote for my car after I received it and programmed the remote I realized that the open door button didnt work. I sent the remote back and they are telling me that I caused excessive damage to the remote. And that they would sell me another after market remote. Will never buy from them again
If you actually do your research this is a WAY cheaper option than going to a dealership (who are the ones who will just rip you off)! I cant believe all the people who give bad reviews because their vehicles require a locksmith to program or they thought it would come already programmed. DUH, how can you not know that ahead of time! Funny how all the stupid people happen to be the ones who felt customer service was rude. I did my research ahead of time (like any smart person would do) and felt the customer service was excellent!
I wish I read other reviews prior to purchasing. I went on the website to order a replacement Key for my 2016 Kia Sportage. I found the key, but prior to purchasing I chatted with the virtual assistant and they confirmed it was the correct key. Took it to a Kia dealership to be programmed they said it could not be programmed. I called the company and they told me that I had to take it to an Auto Locksmith because the dealership was only trying to “sell you their products”.... Contacted an Auto Locksmith and they told me that the key couldn’t work. When they investigated, they said that I was given a replacement key for a different Kia. When I went back online to chat the asssistant said it was my fault that I should’ve made sure that it was the correct key. Even though I confirmed with the person online it was the correct key prior to purchasing.I called and they said they wouldn’t pay for shipping. So I had to pay $7.25 to return it. I sent it priority mail December 1st and tracking said they received it December 4th. December 25th I noticed that they hadn’t refunded my money back. So I called and left a message. Finally spoke with someone today and my money was refunded only to find out I only received $157.99 of the $170.98 I payed because they took out $9.99 for “adjustment fees” and do not refund shipping and handling. So I basically wasted $20.24 that I could’ve used to purchase the correct key.
My experience with this company began on a bad note, as the key I received would not program, as I did not have two working keys. I started to make a big deal out of false advertising when they showed me where it clearly stated it on the web site. Then, I had issues with the locksmith and making the key work. It turned out the locksmith was ripping me off and that a simple call to RMR would have solved the problem. Needed a different board to make the key OEM. Once I got the key working I, the other key started to fail so I contacted RMR and asked what key I could order to be sure it would work. They directed me to the correct item to order and once I got it cut, I was able to use their instructions to program the key without issue. In every case, when I had an issue, it was due to my not reading the information they provide on their site and with the product. At every turn, they helped me to the best of their ability. I cannot complain about these folks as they helped me all the way and the only time I got ripped off it was by a local locksmith, not RMR. If you contact these folks they WILL answer and WILL help you.
Ordered refurbished keyless remote for 2016 Toyota and took it to dealership AND auto locksmith. Not detected. Contacted RMR - they said return defective remote for replacement or refund. I sent it back in original packaging with a copy of the original purchase receipt. They REFUSED package for no RMA. Out not only the cost of the useless remote, but shipping too.
STAY AWAY! Don’t make the same mistake I did with this company. I can’t remember a time I was treated so poorly as a customer.1.First, I waited a month expecting my RAM remote to be delivered. I called and was told they were on back order. This would have been nice to know a lot earlier, I shouldn’t have to contact them to find this out. At that point I should have asked for a refund and run away as this was only the beginning of the problems.2.Got the remote, took it to the only locksmith in town (after calling every one I could find) that had the equipment for this type of key. He said it wasn’t programmable, it was defective.3.Contacted Replacemyremote/LKC Services Inc. and discussed this with them. They insisted, without any evidence, that this locksmith was the problem and not their product. Finally I took it to a RAM dealer who repeated what the first locksmith told me.4.Asked for a refund. I was told by Replacemyremote/ LKC Services Inc. in an email I could get a RMA so I tried but their website didn’t work.5.They now say it’s too late to return their (defective) product despite back and forth contact with them trying to get this programmed.6.Replacemyremote/ LKC Services Inc. offers me $0.25 on the dollar to buy the remote back from me, calls me names (??!!) and a high-maintenance customer because I wanted my money back for a defective product. Just unbelievable. All this could have been fixed easily but these guys chose to go a different route and piss off a customer. I have contacted the BBB and my credit card company for a refund. Don’t make the same mistake I did believing they were a reputable firm. Check the BBB, see for yourself first. I learned my lesson, STAY AWAY!
I probably would have kept my order had Kieth/Joe not treated me like an inconvenience. And I quote: you should have inquired with the dealership before you ordered this part It was a VERY very simplistic question as to the two options my vehicle had available. And in those two options, there is a 3rd button on one. I asked a very basic question, that was awnsered more quickly with, would you like to cancel you order? And to top it all off, the whining about having to go and get the package and remove the shipping......... I cancelled both my orders. Not to mention one of them could go in the cart and be ordered, but later was told....they didnt have it yet.....well its listed as refurbished part, so we looking on peoples key chains. Thats the UN professional customer service I received from Kieth/Joe
Replace My Remote can kiss my a@#! First they send the key fob without the programming code. So I send it back and they send another one. This one is the wrong key, wrong cut style. So now Im done with them and ask for a RMA to return it. They give me that but I have to pay to send it back. THEY SENT ME THE WRONG FRACKIN KEY and I have to pay to return it because Its a refund, not an exchange. Screw them and I better have my damn refund immediately after they receive the key back.
I feel guilty giving them one star because there should be a choice for zero and below. This is by far the worst online experience in my history of eCommerce and that goes all the way back to the beginning of online purchases. When I Google searched for a company that sells remotes and key fobs, this company came up. I found what I was looking for and made the purchase based on the ease of programming the key fob. When the product arrived yesterday I was surprised to learn that I needed to find an automotive locksmith to program it as it could not be done by the consumer. Obviously, this would have been useful information in making my decision. Once I pay a professional to program an item that they cannot guarantee and still get paid for their service, the cost doubles and I could have just as easily gone to the dealership and paid a bit more but without any extra steps or headaches. When I called their customer service to ask for a return authorization and credit, I couldnt believe how rude the person was to me. I am guilty of one thing only, not checking the customer reviews. Now that I have fallen victim to this terribly run business and read other reviews, I understand the other negative reviews. I cannot state it enough to go somewhere else and stay far away from this place. I suggest searching for a local company or just go to the dealer and pay a bit more but at least guaranteed to get it right. I will copy my email exchange verbatim and you will further understand why this place should be avoided. The note that came with shipment stated to go to a professional but not a dealer. I also wonder why it states not to go to the dealer for programming. How were these items acquired by the merchant in the first place and they are hiding from a dealer? Did they fall out of a truck? The word limit was exceeded so I will follow up with the email exchange immediately after sending this one. On 9/15/2020 6:33 PM, Anthony Giarrusso wrote:I like your fancy word salad in the response. However, the only thing your salad cant fix is the email exchange showing how you mistreat your customers. Im also confused about how you used the term refurbished because that wasnt listed either.Good luck with your customer service skills.Best regards,AnthonySent from my mobile deviceHeres their final rude response:Anthony,Your constant pursuit to achieve a one up is laughable and your emails are now being blocked. Your assumption that I was the one who replied to your complaint has failed as it was not I. Your assumption patterns are not going well for you I presume. You assume a company can send an item out pre-programmed which means people have an easy way to simply steal someone elses vehicle -OR- you assume ALL items can be self programmed which without asking any questions before purchasing to know for sure is just negligence on your end. You did yourself a disservice by purchasing an item you knew nothing about and then complaining about it when it doesnt work the way you ASSUMED it would. Write all the bad reviews you want. Anyone who doesnt get there way wants to pout and leave bad online reviews - its the new normal with the birth of the internet.GOOD BYE, Anthony.
Be sure to read all the details AND THEIR RETURN POLICY as they have very misleading and deceptive descriptions for items. Attached is photo of fob and description that I ordered off of. Shows Honda case and says OEM FOB in description. Even when I clicked on read more - in the section to order there is no mention about it being refurbished or potential non-OEM cases. Of course the image they default to is the OEM case so it doesnt generate any questions or cause you to look further. I emailed them as soon as I received the fob (non-OEM case) which they of course point you to the description and other pictures. How about you show a non-OEM image as default and not include OEM in the description. Return policy is for credit only. They got my $50, no big deal but want others to be aware to avoid similar issue.2/13 update. Went to program remote last night and it didn’t work. Doesn’t appear to be transmitting “signal” so now I need to return.
SCAM.... BUY ON EBAY OR AMAZON LESS OF A HEADACHE.I was told I could self program my key. When I received the key there was a note saying that upon further investigation my year and model I couldnt self program. So I returned the key. I had to pay $6 shipping out of my pocket to send it back for their mistake. And then I get a note that they charge $10 restocking fee. Seriously I have to pay for someone to get a key out if a bag and put it back on a shelf. SCAM TO GET SOME KIND OF MONEY OUT OF YOU.
This people are a Fraud, they use bait and switch tactic, they made it appesr as if they were providing the how to program the remotes. Of course once paid and contacted them..i was told to look fir a locksmith to do it. With the money i paid them, the waiting and the inconvenience i could just had paid a bit more and had it done. As far as i am concern, they do not deserve even one star...stay away!¡
I ordered two Fobik Jeep keys from these guys, and they arrived in less than a week! I had them programmed immediately, but one wouldnt work. I reached back out to them and the shipped a replacement key out to me the next day! The customer service was there and they respond pretty quickly. If I ever have remote key needs, I know exactly where to go. Theyve won my business for a lifetime. Eleven out of ten!

2022-04-25This business is absolutely the best! They have great customer service! I lost the spare key to my GMC Terrain and I went onto their website because they had the exact key I needed for less than the dealership was asking. I saw on their website that they offer to cut the key as well but I was unsure how to specify that when ordering online. So I clicked on the chat feature and asked, and suddenly a HUMAN BEING was calling me to take my order over the phone. He was extremely helpful and they made the key the very next morning and it only took two days to arrive. The programming instructions included were extremely easy to read and I was able to program the key within 5 seconds. This place is great and I couldnt be more impressed by their personal service. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a key made. Thank you Replace My Remote!!!

2022-02-23Make sure you have all the details. I chose ReplaceMyRemote.com because they said that they included the programming for my truck. What they didnt tell me is that in order to use their programming I would have to have my two original key fobs. If I had two fobs, I wouldnt be ordering a replacement!I know I can return it and get my money back but that would take more time and potentially more frustration. Now its off to a local locksmith and an additional $60 to get the key programmed.I wish the site would have been more specific about what would be required to program the key, for $200 I could have just gone to the dealer. As it is, Im not saving any money.

2022-05-31Purchased a case for my truck there. When it arrived it came cracked and warped. Damaged during delivery and was told in a email that IT HAD ZERO DEFECTS WHEN IT LEFT HERE. They said in all cap letters yelling at me.Bad business practices and wont back the warranty. Reported website to federal trade commission for a investigation. I never cursed at them just said shifty company wont back warranty. Wont accept returns.Just purchase your parts from a better reputable place. They take your money then blame you if u receive it damaged.Sent pictures of problem to them then they start yelling in a email. ALL CAPS LIKE THIS IS YELLING.

2021-12-27This business is the best! I had a 6-button GMC smart remote with worn and missing buttons. I ordered a replacement shell with buttons and it arrived in about one week. The new remote looks like OEM and works perfectly. Good job!

2018-05-02Lost my remote years ago and forgot all about it until I saw an add for this company on FB. Decided to try one out, and it worked! Price was way cheaper than I expected, and I was even able to program it in myself. Definitely going to order from them again.

2021-03-27I got exactly what I ordered. The only down thing is that I did not realize it was going to be a used remote. Despite that, it was clean and functioned with no issues. The remote also came with instructions to manually program it to my car. I did not expect to be able to do this! The dealer was going to charge me over $400 to replace and program a new remote. The vehicle I have was purchased used and did not come with any. I Checked for another distributer and found one local that could order and program for over $200. I paid $60 for the one from ReplceMyRemote.com and was able to program it myself with the supplied instructions! The end result was me being able to save over $300!I will definitely recommend them to anyone Looking to replace their vehicle remote!

2021-01-01When I bought my newer used car, it came with only one keyless remote key fob. Found this business online and was very pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get the exact key fob I needed, even the correct driver designation-1 or 2. Jeff cut the key and programmed it in minutes and we were on our way. The cost was likely half of what the dealer would have charged. Replacing a key fob does require one to understand that buying the fob is only part of the process. It must be then cut and programmed to your vehicle, which if you think about it is only logical. Negative reviews that state they were shocked by paying for the key cutting and programming only demonstrate that the reviewer did not do their homework in the first place. Buying a remote key fob that is not “keyed” into your own specific vehicle would not work period.

2021-06-01I purchased and returned two different remotes from to other companies because they would not link to my 1997 BMW 328i convertible. I purchased a remote from REPLACE MY REMOTE and it linked to Beemer on the first attempt….these guys are the real deal. AWESOME PRODUCT

2021-04-23I dropped my Cadillac remote and it shattered. Found Replace My Remote with a Google search. The website was easy to use, found a replacement and ordered it. It arrived quickly. I followed the included instructions and had it programmed in minutes. Works perfectly!!
