I’m seriously wondering what all the people who have posted great reviews about clean rooms and fantastic staff are SMOKING???? The staff is a joke. Yes they are there chit chatting , smoking, snacking, anything but working. This property needs some serious attention from corporate.
Staff members should get a refresher on how important it is to treat guests with kindness and empathy. The room was nice however electric issues in the main room, the door had to be close with physical force upon leaving and entering. The best part about this hotel is the fire pit and smores the front desk staff gives you as long as they give it to you without an attitude.
The front desk and the check in process was wonderful. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room was average. We had to fix the shower as well as clean the mattress for the hideaway bed. The morning breakfast was subpar however there are kitchenettes in each room so you can make your own breakfast. I would recommend this place only if the maintenance and cleanliness improves.
While the staff seemed pleasant, despite the holiday dates, the physical plant has clearly been neglected. It is not up to Marriott standards. In our bed/bathroom, there were several areas where the carpet was damaged, the bathroom wall covering was damaged, the door needed to be repainted, the toilet ran, the bathroom faucet fixture was very loose, the bathroom shelf was loose so that it was well more than 90 degrees from the wall. The bedding seemed like it hadn’t been replaced in years, though the sheets did seem clean. In the common room, the furniture was stained and ripped. I was not comfortable sitting on the sofa, and couldn’t imagine sleeping on the sofa bed.In the business area, the computers were so out of date I couldn’t print a simple document without updating the operating system.Outside the lighting was poor, as was the signage.I will not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to others.
Regrettably, our experience was less than we have ever experienced at Marriott property. It took 4 keys to finally get 1 to work. Even then the door would not open. A maintenance worker walking by said, You have to body slam the door to get it to open. Sure enough a body slam worked. We were surprised at the sparse supply of kitchen utensils. We later discovered the dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes and would not work because the door would not latch. The hot tub was out of order and had been broken for over a month. We reported the issues to the front desk in the hope future Marriott guests will have a better experience. Next time we are in the area we will find another place to stay.
Staff was decent. Rooms at ok. Needs updating. They charge you $5 per night for parking, which I think is ridiculous. The parking lot isnt very well lit and there are a lot of trailers and TVs taking up spaces. The breakfast is ok. Not great, but edible and filling. The selection of TV channels is VERY limited. My recommendation would be to pay a few bucks more and stay someplace else. We wont be staying here, again.
Although this hotel was convenient, we felt it was sadly in need of an update. The cleanliness of the room was so so, ie: the tiles floors felt sticky in both bathroom and kitchen. The hallways and elevators weren’t very clean. The pool was clean but the bottom was worn off in numerous spots. The parking lot was disgusting with cigarette buts and discarded drinking cups etc. on the bright side the bed was very comfortable and the outdoor area looked nice even though we didn’t use it.
I wrote my review in first section. This I just a copy of it…Each year we travel to Pittsburgh from Connecticut and stay at the Residence Inn Cranberry. We’ve stayed here 4 times now and this was the first time I’ve been disappointed. We weren’t told at check in that there is no room cleaning. I know with covid some places don’t do that but I’ve always been informed. We were only given 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels for a 3 night stay. I’ve stayed in smaller hotels that give more towels for lesser days. Especially if they aren’t cleaning. The ice maker was turned off so there was no ice. We had to go to the front desk to get some. I feel they should turn ice maker on before check in. We walked into a berry stuffy room after check in. The air conditioner would not stay on. We would leave and the room was comfortable and we would return to a stuffy room. At night we would wake up sweating. The dishwasher still had dirty dishes in it and it stunk and the table in the kitchen area had sticky stuff on it. It’s like the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The elevator situation is awful. We waited almost 5 minutes for an elevator when we were leaving. We had a luggage cart and on the 4th floor. The door opened at one point and there was an employee on it. In my opinion he should have given us the elevator. There were 4 of us and a luggage cart. He had two bags of garbage. We wouldn’t have all fit but if I was the employee I would have definitely given the elevator to the guests. I’m not sure we will return next year. It’s sad because we like the area and the room, normally.
I generally like Residence Inns when I travel as they arent typical cramped hotel rooms and are good value, but this one is by far the worst one I have ever stayed at. No welcome greeting when I first got there, hotel is dated and worn, price was more expensive than other hotels in the immediate area and the breakfast was abysmal. Frozen sausage/bacon egg sandwiches, bruised fruit and instant oatmeal were the highlights. Ill stay at a nearby hotel for $30+/night less, buy a much better breakfast and still save money.
This hotel is poorly managed and does not meet Marriott standards. The gym is filthy (was not cleaned once during our 15 day stay) breakfast is a repetitive joke and customer requests for cleaning service and maintenance support are ignored. There are Staff members that do go above and beyond to help customers but they pale in comparison to the issues and attitudes that you will face here. Stay at the Stay Bridge Suites (IHG) where cleanliness and customer service are valued if you need an extended stay.
We stayed in a 1 Studio Queen bed room. The room was very clean. All the dishes were in the dishwasher run and ready for use. Checkout was at 12.00 p.m.We called in the last minute and said we needed some more time to checkout and the lady at the front desk was quite accommodating. There was laundry on our floor and it said guests can access it with their room key.Not sure about the cost though, as we didnt use it But it was good to have it.Especially if you are travelling with kids.Overall I would definitely recommend this place.
The Staff and Facility worked perfectly to create a home environment feeling while on the road for my Sons Summer camp. Normally a stay at camp week this required day camp activity this year. We live 2 hours away so the stay was perfect for the 10 min drive to camp. The staff was awesome and accommodating however the basic layout and operation of the Residence Inn makes it feel like your personal Residence. We always look for them when traveling.
Good MorningI have had the worst ever experience staying at the Residence Inn from July 19 to July 22. Below were the biggest problems: 1. The team gave me the keys to room 402 instead of 403 when I came to the hotel. This created lot of mess and I was rebuked by the person of 402 as I opened that room where some other person was living. He also told me that I do not understand the privacy of the others, but it was all due to the Marriott staff who even does not know which rooms are vacant and which rooms are empty2. The kitchen utensils were not in a clean state. I have taken the pictures and I can share them. 3. The kitchen slab was also dirty which your staff helped to clean up when I complained. Is this the experience you want to give to people coming to Marriott? My stay was at the below place from July 19 to July 22. Pittsburgh Cranberry Township1308 Freedom Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 P 724.779.1000
Good things:Hotel staff is friendlyLaundry room isnt too expensiveBad things:Rooms worn down, bad light switches and some broken lightbulbsBreakfast is disappointingIf something in your room doesnt work, dont submit a maintenance request. Youre better off just switching rooms.
Bad experience in many ways. Booked a room for 4 adults but one of the beds was a full size (smaller than a queen). They did not have rollaway beds as advertised. The front desk would not upgrade to an available larger room despite an 11:30pm checking and having an upgrade award certificate in my rewards account. The room was dirty and floor stickily. This is not what you would expect from Marriott.
First room door lock would not work. If they were cleaning it they should have known not to try to occupy it before lock was fixed.Second room was not clean. Stove top was greasy. Shower rod was beginning mold. Then housekeeping did not show up to clean the room on Thursday. Then the TV didnt work that evening -- it worked the day before; maybe the batteries needed to be changed. Oops back to that housekeeping thing again. One of the biggest things that bothered me the most was when these shortcomings on Marriotts part were commented on by me, your employees tried to inform me of something. I need you all to understand; you are providing a service me. The only condition that I have is to provide is a means of payment to you. I dont care why your services are substandard, nor am I obliged to troubleshoot your electronic equipment. Stayed there 2 years ago was fantastic. Not so much anymore. Will not be staying at ANY Marriott unless I have to.
We stayed here from Friday Night until Sunday afternoon while an open house went on at our home. We needed somewhere to go that would accept our pets as we all had to get out of our home. Suite was roomy and had fridge microwave, oven and dishwasher . Bedroom and sleeper sofa were comfy!! Shower was great ! We would definitely stay again - have reservations at a Marriott Residence Inn in NC on our move to Florida
The hotel was actually very beautiful, but .. the cleaning service was terrible(they did not come into our rooms each day to lay out clean towels or to take our trash out), when I called the “manager” at the front desk she was very rude and didn’t treat with respect or any comfort, and one night when I was walking around the bed to get into bed, a piece of glass had went into my toe. Overall do not reccomend for families or more than a one night stay.
The first night of our stay was great, loved the room. The second night our room was located on the first floor directly next to the outdoor patio sitting area we were woken up at 1:40am by very very loud intoxicated people blasting music and yelling outside on the patio. My husband called the front desk at 1:45am to complain the outside noise did not quiet down, at 2am my husband went to the front desk and walked with the clerk to the patio where the people said they would quiet down but did not, at 2:15am I called the front desk as the people outside were still blasting music and yelling. I saw the clerk once again go to the patio the people outside shut off the music but then were talking so loudly right outside our window we could hear their entire conversation as if they were in our room with us. We packed our stuff and left at 2:30am after barely getting any sleep. It was a nice hotel and room but the way the hotel handled the noise situation was not accommodating at all for the money we spent for the room. The outdoor patio should be locked and closed for the night at midnight just like how they lock and close the pool at 10pm, to accommodate the rooms by that area for people who are at the hotel to actually sleep and not be up all night partying.
Little Father’s Day gathering. Pool is always clean and fun . Cookout area is great for gatherings , we took advantage of that , grill patio table and fire pit for s’mores . The hotel staff Michael at the front desk is heaven sent if you have an issue he fixes it right away . Really all the staff are amazing. Love this place we will definitely be back !!!
I’m a local and have found this hotel to be a great place to get out of the house for an evening with my child or with friends and enjoy an evening of swim and relaxation. My child has even asked if we can stay an extra day an just do their online schooling here for that day which wasn’t a bad idea! Hotel has a hot tub and sauna- not something you see much anymore as well as rooms with full ovens and even a few fireplaces. Hidden gems in this location. They also have smart TVs to watch Netflix, etc. Breakfast is limited right now which is understandable. But team doing a great job ensuring guest health and safety from what I saw. Hotel extremely clean and staff very accommodating and pleasant.
As soon as I walked in the room, the smell of cleaner and dog odor hit us. There was pet hair, which I assumed was dog hair all over the couch, around the desk, and near the bathroom door. Some hand towel also had dog hair as well. I pulled out the pull-out bed and it seemed as if a dog had slept on it because of all the hair on it. The refrigerator was not cleaned out, it was stained and had food residue on the shelves. I did talk to the front desk and was told that the hotel was booked and no other rooms were available. She did give me blankets to cover the couch to help cover the pet hair. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times a year for the past 3 or so years and was not pleased to see how unclean and unkept the room was.
We stayed for one night. Unfortunately we’re not communicated details about our stay. Staff wasn’t mean just didn’t explain. Neighbors smoked and were obnoxious all night long. Our room was filled with haze and smelled absolutely terrible all night long. Manager did reduce our rate but we missed breakfast since we didn’t know what time it was being provided. We also couldn’t sleep on the pull out sofa as it wa pretty gross. Little things add up.
Room was absolutely disgusting. There were bodily fluid stains on the sofa, the towels and comforter were filthy, and there were stains all over the curtains. Also, there was a dried up old piece of sushi on the floor. The A/C was broken in the room and the whole entire room smelled like mold and wet dog. We booked the room for 2 nights and had to leave after the first night due to how unsanitary it was. The elevator and hallways were just as dirty too. The manager is rude and nasty and yells at customers over minor booking errors. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
My check out experience more than made up for the rudeness that greeted us. The front desk associate at check out was warm, kind and friendly. I had called early the day of check in to request an early check-in. The associate immediately replied no. She didnt take the time to check the reservation to see if an early check-in would possible. When I inquired to be placed on a rush list since I was coming in for a funeral, I was met with a grumbling ugh, alright. When we arrived, I kindly inquired about checking in, I was once again immediately told no. Not a let me check or let me see what I can do for you, but an abrupt no. After I inquired about checking the reservation, she took my name and said I guess I can check with housekeeping. Amazingly after checking our room was available after all. This hotel should be grateful I wasnt an inspector. Ive never heard of a hospitality company that would want their employees for response to reasonable requests to be an immediate no. It was also quite a shock to see the front desk attendant in a t-shirt and not a professional appearance.
I left a review on the website so this is a second one. I really enjoyed my stay there. Relaxed, peaceful, friendly staff, and quiet. You would be surprised by how noisy some hotels are whether it be guests or hwy noise. This one is built solid and quiet. I also enjoyed the gym and the steam room in the pool area. Its rare to find a hotel with a steam room. I enjoyed the basketball court too. All in all, this was a peaceful stay. Just what I needed for the weekend. The only amenity that I hope doesnt go away is being able to fit an 18 wheeler on the lot as I am a truck driver.
The staff was super nice (Hi Mary), and the facility was very clean. The grab and go breakfast wasnt great, but times are what they are and you at least got something. Very comfortable bed. The sofa bed was not good. The pull-out had stains and the sleeper was the worst. 🙁Also, the pool and hot tub were open. You just had sign up for a time slot. There was a burning smell, but no smoke and the manager hunted it down until they figured out it was someone cleaning the oven. Other than that, the stay was good and I would return.
Everything from the moment of check in went smoothly. Friendly staff very clean and comfortable rooms. Bed was super comfortable. Continental breakfast was above excellent. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Wish I had known it was pet friendly... would’ve brought my pup Next time I’ll use the pool and fitness room but it was nice to receive a s’more kit that I enjoy on the patio with the fire pit. Definitely will stay here again such time I come in to visit family.PS. 3 restaurants and a Starbucks in walking distance but no need to spend $5 on their coffee since the Resident aInn has coffee for free 24/7
We are very pleased with this hotel stay. We really enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and sauna. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the kitchen in our room. The only problem we experienced was with our keys deactivating and having to come to the front desk to get it activated after going all the way to our room. The breakfast was okay. There could have been more choices and variety. Overall though this was a great experience for my family. Thanks Residence Inn Cranberry for our wonderful stay while traveling to PA!!
I said it all on the first page. Worth another read if you glanced over it.Where shall I start: I know this has already been communicated to Christina, but, Ill repeat it anyway. I am a lifetime level GOLD ELITE, (soon to be Platinum). My profile clearly states a preference for the upper floor. I made the reservation in February of this year. When I arrived we were given a first floor room! I inquired as to why I hadnt been given an upper floor as requested three months ago. The attendant had no answer, which I understood. She tried placing us in a third floor room, but when my wife walked into our new room she found a man laying in the bed!!!! Clearly not what we expected. So, we ended up on the first floor anyhow. We are right next to the stairs and entrance way. How bad can it get - people slamming the outer door at all hours, people running up and down the stairs. Dogs barking as they entered or exited the building. Great way to treat a valuable guest! But, it gets better! The toilet backed up and we called for maintenance. Hours later there was no response.. I went to Walmart and bought a plunger and fixed the problem myself. I wanted to be sure it was as good as it could get so I had the housekeeper call for maintenance once again. This time someone showed up. He could barely walk and should have retired years ago. He looked at the toilet and put his gizmo into the toilet, barely able to stand without falling over. He took it out and said that it was as good as it gets - which was no better than I had already done myself. We also had had a drip from the ceiling, in front of the refrigerator, that lasted the entire visit. We wiped it up constantly. We only had one towel in the room when we arrived so we had to make another trip to the front desk to get another towel. Not the way we expected to start our stay. As you might have guessed by now I am not pleased with our stay. After several hundred nights at Marriott properties all over the country over several years, this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST visit and experience I have ever had, bar none. I have stayed here in the past and had good service and experiences. This time may be the last even though we had made another reservation for August several weeks ago. We shall see. The only reason I gave you a 2 instead of a 1 is that when I checked out the gentleman at the desk was sincerely apologetic and promised to relate our experience to the manager, Christina.
Positive: The size and quality of the room. Negative: The problem we had was our room was located next to the courtyard/patio during the second night of our stay we were woken up at 1:30am by some very very belligerent drunk people, front desk did nothing to solve the issue we left at 2:30am after no resolut
Horrible experience and worst Marriott I have stayed in.We asked for a comforter for our kids since the pull out couch linens only had a thin blanket and sheet and the desk said we could only have a thin blanket. It was 20 degrees outside and the window was cracked / broken allowing freezing air in.The adjacent room’s occupants were awake literally all night banging walls with kids yelling. The front desk staff said she was the only one there and couldn’t address it.The television remotes didn’t allow for changing channels. The pet policy memo had items that the desk acknowledged didn’t apply but they made us sign it anyway. The staff boarded an elevator with us regardless of their sign stating two per elevator due to covid.External entry doors didn’t work forcing us to use the main entrance in the front when walking our dog.Plenty of better options nearby and closer to walkable attractions.
The location is great for visiting Cranberry but the amenities have went downhill. On our most recent stay the thermostat didnt work (blinking) so we had no fan noise and there is major construction going on outside the hotel, the TV didnt work and the bathroom door was dragging on the floor for some reason to open and close it. Just low quality, amateur hour stuff that should be addressed on a preventative maintenance type schedule.
The hotel was very nice, lovely fireplace in the lobby. Although, it was too cold to enjoy they had a nice seating area outside. Though we did not use it, they had a nice indoor pool. The staff was great especially, the front desk, Melissa, & the Kitchen Grandmas, as Betty had called herself. We would definitely stay here again, the area was great too lots of stores & food nearby. We would give this Residence Inn 5 stars for their nice staff and Breakfast , the best we have had at any Marriott. We were surprising our childhood friends for their 25th Wedding Anniversary, drove 7 hours to this nice Residence Inn with friendly faces and staff. They were accommodating when we arrived early and found us a room right away. That was great we need to freshen up before surprising our friends, It was a great surprise and great stay.
I cannot say enough about this place, the 2 bedroom suite with livingroom, fireplace and full kitchen was excellent! They do have a continental breakfast to go, which is fine they do have a nice outdoor seating section with firepit, tables and a grill. I personally liked being in my own own Unit that has a table to eat from..Their indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi is wonderful, though during COVID19 with Gov. Wolf orders 😔 as of Sept. 2020, they reduced their hours for recreation. From 1 pm to 5 pm Monday & Tuesday and 8 pm the rest of the week! I didnt know this and was an irate customer for sure, since I wanted to go swimming/jacuzzi! The General Manager handled the situation within the rules very well and was able to get a 2 pm check-in for the next Tuesday morning, at least I got 30 minutes all to myself! I would most certainly go back!
We visited this hotel for a family wedding in the area. What we loved: the suites were so much better than a traditional hotel room. We loved the kitchen. The staff was very nice and friendly. We loved the breakfast! It had much to offer everyone. Coffee was great! The rooms were clean. What we weren’t crazy about: The hotel is still in the 90’s. Could use some updating of carpets and furnishings The traffic congestion, but not sure if there is anyway around this in Cranberry Twp! Overall: would I stay there again? Yes.
This was a great place to stay. There was six of us including four children. The room is very clean the pool area was very nice everything was kept up very well. They never hesitated to bring us anything extra we needed. Smart TVs in the rooms with Netflix was very nice. And the ability to grill and cook your own dinner is awesome. I would not hesitate one bit to recommend this hotel to anybody. Especially if you have kids. There was also a lot of dogs here. But you didnt really notice them except for people outside walking them. It really felt like home
Was given a total at time of phone reservation. Was then overcharged 50.00 for no reason. No hot breakfast. Right in middle of road construction. Road construction just above parking lot and just 10 feet directly above my vehicle.Very nice staff but MUCH too expensive for amenities that are lacking and not honoring price I was given on phone
This was our first stay at a Marriott Residence Inn and were very pleased with our stay. Dawn had us checked in our keys ready and in our upgraded room within minutes. We had 2 toddlers and after 7 hrs on the road at 2am we were grateful to have no issues and such a quick check in.The room was lovely, we were lucky to have been upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. As loyal SPG gold members we were worried our preferred status would not be acknowledged with the transfer but we were wrong. The staff was excellent and elite treatment was definitely provided.Breakfast was better than most continental and staff again worked diligently to keep the modern dining area clean even with all the kids running around.Thank you very much for such a pleasant, restful and stress free stay! We will surely be recommending you highly to our friends and family.
Great location. Easily found. Room was relatively clean except sink was gross in bathroom. No dish soap was provided to hand wash dishes. Hot tub was not up and running. The suana also was not working. The pool bottom needs to be repainted as it is chipping. Husband enjoyed breakfast (no gluten free options were available except for knock-off cheerios). Coffee was good. Staff was polite and helpful and attentive.Wish it cost about $20 less. Very pet friendly and all pets were quiet and well behaved.
Everything was amazing during my recent stay. I came down for my mums birthday and almost all members of my family stopped in for part of the stay and enjoyed. The weeknight mixers were fun, and the amenities were great! The only things I would change is extending the full breakfast time or offering coffee/pastries/bagels/fruit for an extended time until 10-11am would be ideal. While most may be there on business, those on vacation may want to sleep in!Manager Christina was fantastic and really enhanced our stay. She was super accommodating, understanding and helpful! Kudos all around!
Mold, mold, mold. In the time it took for me to walk into their lobby, ask do you have a pool? Have the woman say yes and me say I thought you, I had been exposed to enough of it that I was dizzy and had an iron band headache by the time I walked out the door. When I was told that the building that housed our room was not attached to the building that has the lobby, and because we had made a reservation, agreed to look at the room. I opened the door to that separate building and was hit by the same smell. We canceled our reservation, and went across town to Marriotts other brand
The rooms here are spacious and clean. The breakfast is very good with a large variety. The mixers are fun and a great way to relax at the end of the day. The outdoor fire pit and couches are a great place to relax with a glass of wine! My grandchildren loved the indoor pool. But the best part is the friendly and helpful staff! They always greet you with a smile! We will definitely stay here again.
This place is wonderful!!! I had a great stay. My family of 5 stayed for 2 days and everything was perfect! room was clean and up to date. It was nice having a full kitchen in our room. Pool area was clean and nice. We had the pool to our self. Price was very reasonable for the room. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good. Very nice place!
This is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at! Its so nice to have a full kitchen if needed and I wished that my stay was longer instead of just overnight. Great reception Wed night with good food and a lovely hot breakfast in the morning. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I definitely would stay here again!
The two room suite is comfortable but the receptionists are lacking in courtesy and knowledge to cater to guests. My suite has a kitchen but there was no sponge or dish washing detergent. The receptionist couldnt find any and barely knew anything about operations. I stayed there on a weeknight.
The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast was very good and there were many options-- both savory and sweet, hot and cold. The cleaning staff put our dishes in the dishwasher and started it for us halfway through our stay. There were mixers available in the evenings, in which snacks and drinks were provided. Would definitely recommend!
We spent 3 weeks here visiting our son. A great place, close to amenities and very comfortable. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay or a business trip. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and The Mix was an unexpected pleasure. If we had to name one negative, the aircon was a little noisy!! Will definitely be back, thank you for everything!
Stayed just one night. comfortable suite with two bedrooms/baths. clean, equipped kitchen which came in handy while relatives were visiting. spacious and clean rooms. didnt use hotel pool or gas fireplace in suite. complimentary breakfast was superior to most weve had elsewhere. very satisfied, would stay again. also, cheaper than two rooms almost anywhere else in Cranberry.
Wow! We stayed at Residence Inn in Cranberry Twp. over night heading to Cleveland the next day. What a beautiful room! Guests walk in to a nice size, well-equipped kitchen with counter height table and two chairs. A living room space, desk working area, an incredible king bed, a vanity with sink outside the bathroom, double mirrored closet, and bathroom with tub/shower/ toilet. Loved the small details that made all the difference- the TV swivel for viewing from any room, the separate vanity area, the regular size coffee maker, a huge fridge n freezer + microwave, the bedside reading light, the complimentary gift of water and choc chip cookies n mints upon checkin, the USB ports bedside, and the Paul Mitchell bath products. The lobby had a fireplace, a stocked bookshelf for anyone to use, and plenty of seating. The morning breakfast didnt have any hot foods- just prepackaged items, but keep in mind Ohio was just 2 weeks out of some Covid restrictions lifted. Theres a Sports Grille restaurant in the parking lot, as well as a Ritas water ice, and a Starbucks...all just steps away.
The only 2 bedroom suite I could find. Very clean but the kitchen supplies such as knives, forks, etc. was sparce & a hodgepodge. Some plastic items some items missing I.e. 3 knives, 4 forks, 5 spoons. The same for glasses. I understand they need everything to fit in the dishwasher between each guest. The rest of the spaces were in good clean working order. We would certainly stay again.
We especially like that the windows open and the studio suite feels spacious and airy. Separation of sleeping area and living space is quite good and avoids the closed-in feeling that walls and doors cause. Kitchen equipment is a little sketchy is you want to do major cooking, but is fine for most purposes. Liked the reading lights at bedside. All in all, great staff and comfortable accommodations with a better than average breakfast. Evening receptions are variable -- Tuesday night burgers are the best.
Very nice hotel the indoor pool was a little chilly this time of year but swimmable. The hot tub and sauna was nice and the staff was friendly . They even have smores kits at the front desk to use on the patio. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Couch was nice. You do have to ask for liquid dish soap at the front desk
First time but plan to return. Staff were helpful. full kitchen in room. Hotel Breakfast offered more choices than any I have visited. Thermostat in room worked well. Best hotel pool for families. Down side - room needed a little better cleaning. there is some traffic noise but it did not bother us. Overall a great stay.
This place has a real cozy feel to it! You can sit on the patio outside with a fireplace or sit in the breakfast area and feel quite relaxed. Ample parking and next door to two restaurants, Starbucks and Ritas Italian Ice cream shop. The Queen Studio room we had was spacious and had a full size dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Lots of room for an extended stay. Awesome complimentary breakfast.
Overall stay is pleasant, guestroom and bathroom are tidy and clean. Breakfast is quite good. Plus the staff is quite helpful to explain... The only issue is the main entrance is blocked due to road repair, and no clear sign to redirect the customer to another road to get to the Residence Inn. May be the management can do something to improve the issue.
This hotel is clean and well maintained. My family and I stayed here a week. Management and staff here is friendly and considerate of the guests! We noticed Jamill (ops/general manager) and staff working tirelessly and going above and beyond. He personally brought fresh towels to our room! Outstanding service! If we’re ever in the area and need a room, we will definitely come here again.
I love the decor and style of the hotel. The rooms are nice, but we had two dirty rooms and one that could have been cleaner. The previous guests hair on the wall in the shower and IN THE BED. The next room had a ton of dog hair visible on the sofa. Both rooms were probably cleaned by the same person. I used to be a platinum business traveler and Ive never had to change rooms because of it not being clean.
Room was okay. Breakfast was below average. Pool was cold and in poor repair, and hot tub didn’t work for the 3 days we were there. Tried to overcharge our daughter, although it was corrected after a couple of tries of talking to the manager. Not a hotel I would stay at again.
Nice hotel with very helpful staff. Stayed here for 12 days for a work engagement. Received excellent customer service from multiple staff members. Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms, free breakfasts and much more. Only suggestion is to vary your breakfast menu more often. I cant eat any more of your turkey sausages. Thanks.
This is a clean and modern hotel that was well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fully stocked and even when breakfast time was ending, staff ensured that guests were well fed. We’ve always stayed with Marriott chains in Cranberry but this was our first with Residence Inn. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite which was roomy for our 4-kids. We will be coming back.
Awful experience. Had to change rooms two times. First room was gross, toilet flooded, and shower flooded. Second room, the door to the room would not lock so had to change rooms again. Staff were frustrated with me and kept telling me there were no available rooms open and amazingly were able to move me to two different rooms within the same night. They never once apologized for the inconvenience and never offered a free night or anything for the troubles. Definitely do not recommend them.
We loved the suite (though the rooms were a bit small) and the proximity to town. Breakfast ended early (9 where most end at 10). Also, one day our suite was not made up at all. We discovered this late when we returned, and the kids were too tired to wait for me to call the front desk to report the problem. I told the front desk the next morning when we checked out, and the person at the desk said she would ask her supervisor to add some points to my account. This wasn’t the only issue. Another day, our suite was made up, but there were no new towels in one bathroom (the old ones were still on the floor where we left them). Another time, I went to use the pool, but there were no towels there; I went to the front desk and was told someone would be right in to bring towels, but no one ever showed up and an hour later I had to return to my room upstairs dripping wet. Hope someone fixes the housekeeping problem. It’s a shame since it’s otherwise a nice place to stay.
When I travel in I always choose the Residence Inn, The Staff is always helpful and Friendly. Rooms are always ready, Clean and comfortable at check in. This past trip while in town on Business, my family joined me. While I was taking care of business, they enjoyed the hotel very much so, the great experience that the staff always shows me was instantly transferred to my family.
Room was acceptable. Bed was great! Hard to find comfortable King sized bed at a hotel/motel where you can bring your pet! For that reason alone, Residence Inn deserves 5 stars. Other than that, all things being equal they offer an acceptable hotel room. If I didn’t have a pet with me this would probably not be my first choice though.
Not very pleased with property. Judging by previous reviews I expected the rooms to be better than what they are. I can look past chipped paint. I was even willing to look past the fact that my door was jammed. I couldn’t get into my room. The gentleman from front desk had to come push and pull on my door a few times just for it to open. But, what I cannot except is a huge stain on the side of my mattress. Immediately I started thinking about that condition of the entire mattress and now second guess the cleanliness of the entire room. I should have inspected room like I normally do on arrival so I could have checked out and found another hotel this evening. At this point I am very disappointed and uncomfortable.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lots of amenities. Our room was clean and just had a great welcoming smell to it. The bed was so comfortable. We had a great breakfast. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. It was a wonderful experience.Thank youThe Andersens
Great pillows! Nice studio rooms with lively pool and great breakfast on site. It also looks like they try to build a community there with weekly events, so if you travel for work a lot and get lonely with long stays away from home this might be for you. 4 stars cuz the first room we got was very smelly, like garlic fish, and we could hear every sound of the building all night (like showers next door, etc), and some of the dishes in our new room were a bit dirty. All in all I would recommend a stay.
Wonderful and accommodating staff. Clean and well equipped rooms. Great 24 hr gym and coffee bar located in the the hotel. Beautiful swimming pool and hot tub area. Very well equipped and accommodating place. Beautiful outdoor area as well. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Janet in particular was fantastic. She took care of my friends and family as if they were a part of hers and the more beautiful thing was that she did it on her own initiative. The love and care that she showed us will not be forgotten. Thank you, Janet!
Our stay was wonderful! We stayed here as it was convient to where were going to a concert plus we were able to walk to grab a bite to eat after the concert and our room was just wonderful. It was clean and spacious, the staff went out of their way for us when we checked in and the breakfast staff were a help also. I would stay again.
This was a very clean, well-appointed inn with a good breakfast bar - not as good as the pictures and not as good as I had hoped for, but still good and fine. The room was lovely and I felt at home.Sometimes you go into a hotel room and feel as though you must constantly wear shoes because of the dirty carpets and you dont want to lie down on the bed because you are afraid of what is in there (as in bugs - yuck!). Havent we ALL been at that hotel? Well, this WASNT that place! It was comfortable and clean! You cant beat that while travelling! Kudos!
Solid hotel. The rooms are nice but nothing fancy, breakfast is good, and there is a well maintained indoor pool. My only complaint is that the AC in our room wasnt working well. However, the manager on duty offered to move our room so that made up for it. Overall we were happy with our stay and would come back again!
Lots of construction which made reaching the hotel somewhat trying on the patience. Once there, we were greeted and treated well. We stayed for a week and really found the hotel to be a pleasant place to stay. We weren’t disappointed in any manner and would definitely stay there again.
Our Stay at the Residence Inn was even better than expected. Everyone couldnt have been more thoughtful l /helpful / accommodating to our needs or special requests. The staff went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. Our suite was perfect for space and privacy for all. We enjoyed the use of the pool, hot tub and sauna. Providing breakfast was expected but the nights with dinner was an added bonus. We will make our reservation soon for our next get-to-gether for 2015.
My friend had hotel rooms blocked off here for her wedding. We decided to stay in one of the blocked off rooms. The hotel staff was very accommodating. I called earlier in the week and asked about an early check in at 1, instead of 3. The person on the phone said that to call back the morning of the stay, so they could try and make sure we got a room with early check in. I called the morning of, and the man on the phone was very helpful. He made sure to get us a room with an early check in, that was still close to the rest of the people who were staying from the wedding. So we were able to check in at 1, and get ready for the wedding which was very helpful. Once we arrived at the hotel we asked the man at the front desk (I cant remember his name unfortunately) what delivery food places were near by. He got out about 5 different pamphlets and gave them to us and gave us some details about places to eat in the area. The room we stayed in was very clean, and was nice and updated. We had a suite, and I was surprised that it was so stocked. It had a fridge, stove top, coffee maker, and all the plates, pans, silverware, and amenities to cook if necessary. The room was very spacious also. The few things I that I would change would be the size of the bed, it was a queen, which is fine, but I think a king would be better in the suite setting. But everything about the bed was clean and thats the most important part. The only other thing I would change is the toilet. It was running all night, and when I mentioned it in the morning to the man at the front desk, he was very nice and gave us $30 off or our inconvenience. So it was definitely a positive experience stayed the Residence Inn in Cranberry!
Although not as new as some other properties in this neighborhood, this hotel has enormous rooms and great kitchen areas. Very quiet and close to everything (Starbucks shares the parking lot!!) Lots of convenient parking and excellent breakfast. My family (including the cat) loved staying here, well be back next time were traveling through western PA
Great hotel, clean, spacious room, loved the fireplace. The two bedroom suite with two baths was just great for the Family. We loved the indoor heated pool and the kids loved the sports court as well. Great variety at breakfast each day. The entire staff was friendly and great. Will be back again if we need a hotel in this area. Thanks for a Wonderful stay.
My sister and I have a getaway at a Marriott at least twice a year! We take with us my great-nephew Brady and great-niece Brittany. Our usual property was not available so we took the Residence Inn in Cranberry Twp. that was available. We were so glad we got to stay here and it was such a great place to stay. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite and it was fantastic! The pool, hot tub and sauna was super! The kids loved it so much too! The staff were all just wonderful! A special thanks to Michele and Robert at the front desk, who made us feel so comfortable and Jo at the pool was a sweetheart. Brady loved the weekend and even said this was the best Marriott ever. We shall return for our next Brady and Brit Marriott weekend outing! Thanks again, Lori C.
I re served three rooms as we were in town for a family wedding. One of the rooms had not been cleaned very well. The mirrors were dirty but worst of all the bathroom door was stained with a foreign substance (urine). They moved my daughter to a different room the next morning. On our last night there I returned to my room to find it had not been cleaned. When I reported it to the front desk he apologized but at that point it was too late to get it cleaned. He also said, I had requested it to not be serviced that day, Uh....not true. The rooms in general seem a little dated. Not sure when the will be updating but I hope sooner rather than later. The breakfast room was a little crowded but the staff did a good job keeping things together.
Of all the hotels I stay at, this one is one of my most favorite. I love coming back to this hotel every time Im in the Pittsburgh/Cranberry and other nearby areas. Most of the staff are long-timers, so I look forward to being welcomed by familiar and friendly faces. The breakfast and evening mixes are flawless, and the ambiance of the lobby and dining areas relaxing. Restaurants within walking distance are abundant and decent. The recently renovated rooms are chic and relaxing. Housekeepers are also friendly and are good at their jobs. Have had only positive experience here. Highly recommended for all travelers.
Loved this place! Rooms and service was lovely! They had activities for people to attend to (I.e a movie night with popcorn) for those who stay! I would have given a full rating however with our rooms being adjacent to the centre space where the camp fire and outdoors area was, there were people being quite loud at night which made it feel not so private/made it difficult to fall asleep! Other than that, everything else was perfect!
I travel to Cranberry alot on business and this is my hotel of choice in its price range. The WIFI service is excellent, the social mixers are well setup and offer everything thing from meals to desserts depending on which night. The breakfast is above average (just) but there are alot of choices and always fresh fruit and cereal and the coffee is decent (plus Starbucks is right next door). The thing that keeps me coming back to this hotel though is the exceptional staff. Everyone ive encountered has been friendly and courteous (even when im being unreasonable) and go out of their way to make sure im enjoying my stay.
The Residence In is newly remodeled, I have stayed here many times and was blown away by the new décor. Everything is upgrade, larger breakfast area, new color scheme, new furniture, bistro sitting area, very nice. My wife visited one weekend and she thought we were in a different hotel from the last time she stayed there.Rooms are comfortable, nice work area, nice cooking area, very nice.
Love Marriott facilities usually but this was just so-so, which is sub par for the Marriott. Questioned whether an upgrade was available and the front desk person said no without even checking. We asked would it be possible for the second night and she said no, again without checking. Said we needed a garbage can for the room and we were told we could get one the next day...really? We couldnt get a trash can that night, especially since one should already be in the room?Breakfast wasnt as extensive as most facilities. I like oatmeal and theres usually warm oatmeal ready. This location only had instantly packets. Best experience was with a worker at breakfast (I forgot her name 😒) who went above and beyond to help me when I needed ice and Ziploc bags to pack my cooler for traveling. I still have faith in the Marriott but this was just ok.
Our family has been to 5 hotels within the last 4 weeks. This hotel was our favorite. The salt water pool was great too (so nice and warm). After trying to stuff our drinks in mini fridges at all of the other properties, it was so nice to have a full sized refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. The two room setup was great too.
Hotel was nice and clean. Decent size room. The hotel is right off the main stretch in cranberry and just off the turnpike. Complimentary hot breakfast every morning (eggs, waffles, etc.). Only issue was with the door lock. Maintenance had to come several times. Overall, it was a good experience and wed stay here again.
Very friendly staff. Nice and classy hotel. Nice pool and hot tub. Good breakfast buffet. Wish that the door locks would work better ... It is a key card and sometimes it would take me a couple minutes for the card to work. Very frustrating. Besides that, really liked the hotel. Nice full size refrigerator.
Staff was friendly and courteous. However, the room I got was not clean and had left over smells of recent cooking. At one point I believed that the hallway actually vented into my room. I couldnt figure out why the smell in my room kept getting worse. The neighboring room was the total opposite and the residents were even cooking. They didnt have any smells lingering.
It was my first time there, and it was egregious. The staff is nice, and attentive, however the rooms are NOT CLEAN. The manger recognized the dirtiness. The most disappointing person is the General manager, Jamal, who is lazy, and won’t return a call. I can’t wait to see to him in person, or somehow. Enjoy your stay🤢
We traveled to the Residence Inn Pittsburgh Cranberry Township to have some fun with our grandchildren who traveled from Ohio (we came from New York) and had a fabulous time. The space in the suite was incredible--two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a fireplace, and a full kitchen. The kids loved the pool and we had fun playing with them and then relaxing in the hot tub. Just a minute away was Urban Air where the kids had a blast on trampolines and slides. Theres plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel complimentary breakfast each morning gave plenty of choices from oatmeal to eggs and waffles. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. Im sure well be meeting up there again sometime.
Very disappointed in this location. Weve been staying here for years and they really let it go. The room was not clean & smelled like urine. The property had trash throughout the parking lot & the male desk manager was rude. The entire hotel seemed to be understaffed as well. Left after 1 night & checked into the Marriott a few miles Away
The rooms are very spacious and clean. They provided us with a pack n play for our granddaughter at no fee. The breakfast was pretty good. I really loved the smart TV in the room that allowed me to log into my Netflix account and watch what I wanted. All hotels should have this on their TVs.
Thank goodness we could have our pets join us! We were packing and closing on our house, which was so stressful on our four legged family members. Fortunately the day the packing and loading started we could move our pets to a two bedroom suite. Everything went so smoothly with the help from the caring and accommodating staff. Room was clean and well equipped for our five night stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Came to town for a large group reunion. The suite allowed me to host several friends in a homestyle manner with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area with fireplace. Despite a busy highway next door, the room was extremely quiet, bed comfortable and everything was clean and inviting. Breakfast is great with lots of choices.
Ive had to travel cross-country several times in the last year, and every time I stop at Pittsburgh Cranberry Township Residence Inn. Its very conveniently located, close to several places to grab a bite (including next door to a Starbucks, very welcome for this traveler), and it has Tesla superchargers in case you are in need of that sort of thing. The staff is all excellent from the moment you walk in. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds, and are clean as a whistle. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone, and the woman who takes care of the dining area is as friendly and pleasant as can be. Occasionally there is something special going on, too. For example, on the rare occasion that I got in to the hotel early, they were grilling and giving away burgers, etc. That was a wonderful thing for a couple of tired drivers who wanted to eat but didnt want to get back in the car. I have also traveled with pets, which is why I chose a Residence Inn in the first place. I feel very comfortable that my pets are safe there, and they seem very comfortable as well. The carpet is just the right texture for a good roll-around backscratch :)I highly recommend this hotel.
I can honestly say this was the best hotel stay my wife and have ever had. After 10 hours on the road the room was set up with the crib inside and the extra our yet we had requested at booking. The staff at this place was AMAZING! They gave 110% with every request we had. Even my wife thought I was over reacting until she went down the lobby and experienced the staff for herself. We are now Residence Inn customers for life!
From the moment you arrive, until check out, you are made to feel like a welcomed guest. The hotel staff is warm and accommodating and the rooms are well appointed, clean and up to date. The complimentary breakfast was presented well with a wide variety to meet everyones needs. Will return to this hotel next time we are in town.
My stay at the Residence Inn in Cranberry Township was excellent. The suite was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The front desk staff were all very helpful, friendly and professional. The complimentary breakfast provided was served hot and with sufficient choices. The Residence Inn is in a great location with shopping, restaurants, etc. close by. Close to the PA Turnpike for travelers.
Your entire staff was wonderful during my 5 night stay. From Jamal at the Management level letting me borrow his ice scraper for the heavy unexpected snowfall, to Amber being a huge help during booking and arrival, to Justice who helped arrange a beautiful breakfast everyday and who always asked if there was anything she could do to help. It’s an immaculate facility, wonderful staff, very traveler and pet friendly and is one of the many reasons why I am loyal to the Marriott Residence Inn brands. Keep up the amazing work!
My wife and I found out about the Residence Inn by Marriott from one of our married adult daughters who went there to unwind with her husband for a delightful weekend away time. So, I thought it would be a gracious idea on my part to bless my wife of over 39 years to celebrate our wedding anniversary one month, and we stayed in a spacious suite with a King size bed for two nights. It felt like Christmas Day ! Then, for her birthday, I surprised her with a one night stay over but got the suite with a fireplace. Ill be out of the dog house for some time for sure on that one! lol Really enjoyed the pool and the weight room. We both had an awesome breakfast with eggs Florentine and ham on a muffin, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast and juice. And of course there was hot tea and coffee! No need for the hot self-make waffles with all the fixins - this time. The grand kids will love that if theyd stay over some time. Great place to put up guests who are staying near the area for any extended period of time. Its nearby a plaza mall area too and a cinema and a Christian book store....and many very nice restaurants. Its even just fine to take a walk with your honey around the place.....just because. Its beautiful! Theres even an inner court where they have a fire pit and outdoor furniture to enjoy one anothers company on chilly evenings.....Quite the place to relax at . Affordable too!
This hotel is centrally located to a mall and a movie theater. To get there walking, you have to cross a bridge that has a 1foot shoulder. So drive. Staff is pleasant and the breakfast and dinner are good. If you have a hard time sleeping in complete silence I recommend getting a fan from the front desk. They will go out of their way to accommodate you.
I loved the style of the residents they were practically studio apartments. It really gave the cozy home feeling. The room we stayed in had a temperpeidic queen sized bed, and a fold out bed from the couch. The room had a cook top, fridge, and sink in a kitchen like area. The hotel was Wheelchair accessible, and even have rooms for handicapped individuals.
I have stayed at this Residence Inn many times in the past year or so on business. The welcoming, comfortable and clean atmosphere makes me feel like Im coming home each day. The staff treats you like a special guest the family home, making sure you have everything you need and, after only a few stays, calling you by name. It is a truly special place!
Ive stayed at the Residence Inn - Cranberry twice now. I enjoy staying at Marriott facilities because I know I can count on the highest level of quality no matter which facility or where the facility is located. The amenities are a great plus, the food is top notch and the rooms are always in excellent condition. It is nice to stay somewhere you can count on a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Marriott does it the right way!
Comfortable suites with modern decor. Good breakfast options helps to jumpstart your day, food is constantly being replenished and dining area kept clean at all times, plenty of room to sit down to eat.My husband and I loved the inside pool and hot tub while our son was happy with the basketball court too.Staff was very friendly and polite. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Cranberry.
I booked a room for my daughter and a couple of her friends as I did not want anyone drinking and driving they had a nice time but were up most of the night. Young adults want to sleep in when they are up all night partying and they want to eat when they get up but breakfast ending at 9:30am did not work for them. Saturdays and Sundays breakfast should be extended to 10:30am. Other wise it was comforting for me to know they were safe and the Residence Inn is in a nice location I would stay again and recommend to others....Also it would be nice to have the pool area open till 11pm on the weekend for young adults and adults when the kids are sleeping especially if you go out to dinner or see a movie and want to come back to unwind in the hot tub or swim.
If you want a great hotel experience, stay at the Residence Inn at Cranberry! The staff is awesome, the rooms are clean, the complimentary breakfast is really good, and they make the hotel experience feel like its your home away from home. My family and I have stayed here several times, and they are consistently one of the best places to stay in the Burgh.
The hotel was very nice and had spacious rooms with a fridge and microwave, etc, but the reclining chair looked very worn. The hotel location was good in a quiet area, but near the mall and other amenties. Breakfast was good with a fruit and yogurt parfait that could be taken on the road, but we didnt have much time to enjoy it unfortunately.
Our stay was to pickup our family traveling from Hawaii. They took the red eye and arrived the next morning. Tired and weary as they brought their one year old son to meet family for first time, we got checked in quickly and were able to nap before dinner! This is the second time we have stayed at this particular Residence Inn . Both times we received excellent service, with friendly smiles! They are a true asset to the Marriott name!
A hood hotel overall. Friendly staff member at check-in and regular Marriott hotel breakfast. Room and hotel needs a little work. Things such as iron holder broken. Toilet paper holder falling off wall. Minor items but those minor things lead the hotel from being a 5 star to a three. Also a guest had put garbage for pickup in the hall. 12 hours later it was still. Yes the guest should have done it themselves. Attention to detail. Overall hotel was clean. Would stay again but attention to the details is important.
This place is great. Very clean . Very nice staff. Pool and.hot tub was great. I will definetley try another residence inn in the future. There is a couple nice reseraunts within walking distance which was nice also . They had everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. A mall and several other stores around if you are in to shopping.
We were in town for a nearby wedding and stayed here. It was record cold and our room had a new digital thermostat. Unbeknownst to us, it was pushing out cold air on our first night so we woke up the next morning with a cold room on a freezing morning. I reported it and was told that they have issues with the new thermostats. Really? why not check them before renting me the room then? They moved me to a new room with an old thermostat and that room was fine but I was offered no compensation for my frosty experience. Staff is nice, hot tub is worth checking out, and the breakfast is sub-par. If you stay here be sure and ask for a room with an old thermostat unless you want to be a human popsicle in the morning. Id consider staying here again but its not up to par compared to other Residence Inn locations.
One bedroom suites do NOT have full kitchens as advertised. Be aware if you need an oven for your stay - they dont have one!If you have dog allergies, this hotel is not for you. They do not clean the rooms well at all - and the smell of dog urine (and hair!) is overwhelming. Housekeeping does a poor job.
All plumbing / appliances worked, and the room was spotless. The bed was comfortable, heating / cooling worked and was easy to use. Staff was very friendly. Quick check-in. I forgot to order a crib and used the mobile app to request one, and it was in the room when we arrived. Very easy to get to, lots of parking.
Stayed here for one night on the way to a ball game in Pittsburgh. Very comfortable room and great breakfast. The reception the night before was a waste of time. We got there half way through and they had very little left. No more cheese, dips or spreads, only a runny spinach dip in a small crock pot with nothing to put it on and a server with some soggy egg rolls with not sauce etc. to put on it. This reception did more harm than good if you wanted to be gracious to your guests. Better not to have had it at all. The serving table was also not very clean and tidy. This was the first evening reception that we ever attended. Probably the last
Had a terrible experience and left at 3am. Outlets were taped together, bathroom door needed maintance lady to open since it jammed shut, door had massive claw marks, front door didnt even shut, AC stopped working making the room unbearable, and to top it off, the neighbors were up screaming in the hall till we left. I think Im going w Airbnb next time.
I am a Marriott platinum member with 60 days stayed this year in Marriott brand hotels. Of all of the properties I have stayed in over the years with Marriott this was my worst experience. Upon checking in I waited in the lobby while there were three employees at the front desk. One was on the phone, while the other two were having an argument. We were a little early so I understood that they had to check if a room was ready, and one was “ready” if it could be called that. Entering the room we were greeted by a not so great smell from the room. The room didn’t appear to have been dusted for quite some time. The toilet paper roll was low with no replacement, and I found used tissues behind the night stand. Not what I expected from a recently renovated Residence Inn. Next time near Pittsburgh I will stay elsewhere.
Disappointed I was not advised hotel was under renovation when I made the reservation. Nice room layout for doing work at night, but noisy A/C, rattling bathroom fan cover and leaking toilet tank that kept having to refill every five minutes or so, made it difficult to sleep. Would consider staying here again once they get the kinks worked out and renovation is completed. Staff was very accommodating and apologetic.
My experience at Residence Inn Pittsburg was amazing. It has great service and excellent rooms. Everyone is very polite and the rooms are clean and welcoming. The continental breakfast was also very good! Finally, the location is perfect because there are restaurants, Starbucks, stores, mall, etc nearby. In fact, most are walking distance.
Room was smaller than usual Residence Inn locations. Being a platinum member, I thought I would have a better room. Cleanliness was top notch. Staff was fantastic and ready to please. Breakfast was good. I would of rather stayed at a Fairfield Inn & Suites for 10,000 reward points than this location for 20,000!
This hotel was under renovation when we were there, and our room was already renovated - so everything about the room was great. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. No problems with anything except finding the hotel in the first place. The sign was not easily visible from the road at night - from the highway, but not the road!

The dedicated staff test water multiple times a day ensuring clean safe waters. Weekly evening activities are a welcome addition to break up the routine while away, be sure to ask what you can look forward to durring your stay! The beautiful lobby hosted morning breakfast, a cozy seating area with fireplace, a small but diverse library, several cozy nooks with individual tvs, and plenty of seating with outlet access for all your equipment needs. This Residence Inn has all you love about Marriot and a welcoming staff to make you feel at home.
Other than a few cleanliness issues in my bathroom (we had a suite so I am unsure of the other bathroom), we had no issues. We couldn’t find a way to turn the fireplace on in our room. The pilot light was lit but we didn’t find a button, remote, or anything,of course it wasn’t needed.
The Inn keeper wasnt very pleasant nor welcoming to get started. This was 3:30 pm. We were given suite 305 which we dropped off our luggage and ran to the funeral. We arrived back at the hotel about 10:30 pm. The room was disgusting. The carpet was so dirty the kids socks turned black after 20 minutes walking around. We have a wash cloth rubbed against the carpet that in turn also turned black. The bath tubs had rings of dirt all the way around them. The fridge had rotted food that had been left for who knows how long. The mirrors were not clean. The air conditioner was so loud non of us slept the night. First thing in the morning the toilet flooded in one of the bathrooms. So, I go downstairs to get another room. The guy there says that I should have said something about the room last night!! Not a single apology. Nothing. We did get moved to suite 412 that morning, It was better but not by much. We stayed that night. Breakfast was nothing to brag about either. Brown bananas, day old bagels and biscuits and toast. Very sad! We checked out and went somewhere else for the next 2 nights. It was a much better experience because it was not Marriott. What happened with Marriott? There was a time when they cared and were the standard for excellence. This was a complete disappointment.
Needed a place to stay on way from airport to a road trip. This was more in terms of a suite than I needed, but the price was right combined with points I had accumulated. Its out of my budget otherwise, for one person, one bed in a room. I come to this area frequently (in fact, returned 3 days later for a full week to a different hotel), and would certainly stay here again if I could justify the asking price. Nice touches were real ceramic coffee cups and option for just one cup of coffee or a big pot, and nice tissues instead of the el cheapo ones that feel like sandpaper.
My situation was very unique. I was flying into Pittsburgh to take care of my son following surgery. I wanted a hotel that had a full kitchen so that I could make full meals, as I planned to be in town for over one week. In addition, due to my sons surgery, he was not able to lay down for one week. As a result, I worked the General Manager to schedule delivery of a hospital bed to the room. The General Manager and her entire team were terrific! They helped to make what was a very stressful situation, pleasant. In addition, the hotel was just renovated -- that was a bonus!!!I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and the team there --- everything was wonderful!! Thank you!!!
This is a nice place to stop if youre with your family on the way through the area heading N-S on I-79 like us or across the country another way. Again, this is better for a family with a bunch of kids - otherwise just use the nearby Fairfield Inn. I dont know much about Pittsburgh but this is about 20 minutes away. The breakfast area was great - good food and various toys and movies available there to borrow. We liked the pool - it was nice that it was a little deeper than some of the other Marriott Fairfield or Residence Inn properties - still only 5 ft but thats fine for kids. The staff were quick, friendly and engaging.
It’s a great stay, i’ve been there before and i’ll definitely stay there again. i proposed to my boyfriend on your property, plus it’s great if you wanna stay near but not in Pittsburgh. it gets you out of traffic and crazy roads for the most part, but provides all the amenities a town should (Target, restaurants, some light shopping options, etc.)

2022-06-27Amelia the front desk is excellent, friendly and helpful. However sofa bed and sofa in the room are not clean. We checked in very late around 8 pm. She directed us where to get good with a list of restaurant in town. After dinner , we came back to hotel room around 10 pm, and my son was very disappointed to find out the sofa bed mattress had a big dirty stain.Amelia is very nice to change us to a different room with 2 queen beds immediately. So my son does not need to stay on a sofa bed. However we are disappointed again to find the sofa chair with 2 area of stain of urine. I showed Amelia 2 pictures of urine stain. At this time it’s 11 pm, we are too tired ! So I just asked Amelia to put on a note in my room so they won’t accuse my dog caused the stain and charged me extra. After all, we have paid $75 for dog to stay and we bring in our own dog cage to keep the dog in.Amelia just told me she did put my note in. Hopefully this will bring the attention to the Marriott management team to do better cleaning. Especially Amelia told me that there is inspector to inspect the sofa mattress before it’s folded in.I told Amelia that I am Marriott Envoy member and stayed in many Marriott hotels when travel for last 3 years, This is the first Marriott hotel room with dirty sofa bed mattress and dirty sofa chair.

2022-05-26Beautiful hotel and very clean, gorgeous pool 3ft to 5ft, hot tub and sauna. Basketball court outside the pool room. Exercise room and a fire pit with comfortable seating around. They even offer a free complimentary smore kit! Breakfast was hot and delicious with many choices for everyone, I think they had over 10 different toppings to choose from to add to your waffles or yogurt ect. Pet friendly. Location was amazing everything you can imagine within 10 miles or less!

2022-06-24I recently stayed at this hotel.I have stayed at many Residence Inns around the United States. This was one of the worst Residence Inns I have stayed in. Not because of noise, but the condition of the hotel is quite frankly in very poor shape. In our bed/bathroom, there were several areas where the carpet was damaged, the walls were damaged and stained. The door needed to be repainted, the toilet ran, stains were abundant all over the roomIn the living room, the furniture was stained and ripped. The breakfast was also NOT up to Residence Inn standards. Using prepacked items left in their paper/plastic wrapping, in the warming stations.I will not stay at this Residence Inn again.

2022-07-01We ordered a double bed so that 3 or 4 people can sleep in the room and they gave us a queen bed. We ordered it on a link for a softball tournament and I screen shot the double bed at confirmation and they still wouldn’t switch even though we checked in at 10pm and they had double beds available. Talk about terrible customer serviceThe room stinks of smoke, single bed for the whole family. Just a Terrible start of 3 days staying at this dive

2022-06-22Great amenities, room set up, and location. Very pet friendly. Not as recently updated as many residence inn properties (e.g., no mobile key for doors). Lots of smoking on the property, which was disappointing.

2021-11-14Definitely was a beautiful hotel. The fire pit and seating area outside was peaceful. The lobby was nice and clean. The breakfast they offered in the morning had a nice variety of offerings. I had to give 3 stars because the walls are paper thin in this place. I mean we were on the second floor and had 4 elephants above us. All night we heard every move. You heard conversations and everything. So I suppose it’s the luck of the draw. Request the top floor or hope for peaceful neighbors above you and on the sides. Didn’t get a wink of sleep all night.

2021-09-05My mom and I have stayed at this property at least two times, as our family are longtime Marriott members and this Residence Inn is on our commonly traveled paths. The property itself is dated and could use some significant updates. One of our experiences was good! John there was super friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant experience, despite the old room. He ensured we were on the first floor, as it is listed in our profile as a request, and even upgraded us to larger available room. Our more recent trip was not so good. Though the outside of the hotel had signs requiring mask wearing inside, none of the staff at the front desk was wearing a mask. Usually when we check-in we are offered two complimentary bottled waters or Marriott points. Neither was offered. And when I went to go ask for bottled water the person at the front desk looked at me as if I was asking her to hand over their first born child. The room was missing a lot of key necessities that Residence Inn usually has already in the room - dish soap, sponge, sheets and blanket for the pull-out sofa, coffee filters, coffee, luggage rack. When we went to ask for the missing sheets and blanket the staff stood behind the front desk chatting with each other while we stood waiting for service at the front desk. Finally someone reluctantly came over to help. The dishes in the room were still in the dishwasher, which, its my understanding theyre doing that so they dont touch the clean dishes and spread germs. Considering theyre not wearing masks inside though, Im not sure thats doing much help other than creating more work for guests to unload the dishwasher if they want clean dishes. Though my initial impression of this property was good (and more of a 3-4 star rating, this most recent experience has brought them down to a 2).
