This might be the worst Ritas Ive ever been to. The young staff are slow to attend to the window and even slower to fill water ice in quarts. Usually about 30 minutes before closing they refuse to make any blended products claiming that the blender has been cleaned for the day.
Never fails that the custard machine is broken when its gets within 30 mins of closing time. 3 times in the last 2 weeks.
I spoke to Ira who was helping me with my delivery order, she was so sweet and pleasant! Answered all of my questions and made the process seamless. Thanks Ira !
On the website hours stated open til 11pm but once we arrived we were told they were closed at 9pm because it was cold (50 degrees) on March 25, 2017. The worst excuse to close early on a Saturday night but thats what we get when its a young adult running the store.
Good Italian ice, flavors are great and taste like it should be. I had coconut and my wife had coconut with passion fruit
Ritas is the perfect treat after dinner and the perfect place to go on a hot, humid, summer night in Philly. Mango is the best flavor ever!
Just have intentional big queue outside instead of making space inside shop! And ice Cream and custard were just hype.. Waste of time standing for a long time in queue
This Ritas is a walk up with no seating. It is fine otherwise but where are you supposed to enjoy your water ice?
Service was rude, and appeared to be in agony for having to do her job.

Ive been working with Ira and his team at 15th and Spruce for over 4 years now - I cant say enough good things about these folks! We have a large corporate order every week during the summer months and Ive never been disappointed with the ordering process, the delivery, and the waterice itself! (Love that they switch up the flavors and take requests!) Ira and the team have gone above and beyond for us on many occasions. Well continue to be long time loyal customers because of the quality customer service. Keep up the great work!

2022-06-17Ordered lemon water ice, which was almost white (not the issue). It made it easier to see the ice and I saw there were multiple tiny black dot things in there as well as weird small pink? Shell thing that wasn’t lemon pulp because I saw a few of translucent lemon pulps. Unsure what they were but it didn’t feel right & i only saw it cuz lemon flavor was white.

2018-06-05Very nice water Ice these guys serve. We went in a group and tried various flavors. One can ask for sample and then order the flavor they like most. When asked for the smallest cup we dont get a real small one but you can always ask for a kid size cup. That is way smaller and can be finished easily.The water ice is something that you should definitely try in Philly. Highly recommended 👍

2022-03-25Got in line at 8:30 and decided on a blendini at 8:40. They said they stop using the machine 20-30 minutes before closing. They could’ve made an announcement for everyone in line, but they seemed very lazy and rude.

2019-08-07Took a walk and found this little hole in the wall place. Friendly and patient staff. Lots of ice flavors. Creamy rich custard! I got a swirl cone and it was quite tasty. Good portions for the price. Id go back to have another cool treat!

2018-07-04This place has THE best Italian ices!! They had so many selections to choose from but I went with the Mango and custard choice as recommended and I was not disappointed to say the least! The customer service was great, staff was friendly and establishment was clean. Will be returning to this location to have yet another ice to finish off my day!

2020-08-09The service is very bad. I bought a vanilla icecream coneand it had only a little of icecream on it and it was for 5.97 but 3days before that I bought a bigger one with a lot more icecream and sprinkles for only 4.76. I think they need to retrain the staff one more time. Or just let the managers only deal with customers.

2019-08-21Ice cream is so creamy and yummy. Been eating their water ice since I was a little kid. 20+ years later theyre still my favorite go to spot. I have yet to try everything on the menu. Great fruit smoothie, misto, water ice, and gelati. Yummy!!!

2020-07-01This particular one is sheltered inside, which was welcome because the day we visited the winds were whipping in between the tall buildings pretty fierce. The two guys on duty were polite but not overly friendly. We ordered, they took our money and we left. The area inside appeared clean; no characters hanging about, no offensive smells. Would go back if ever in the downtown area which seemed quite charming, vast and walkable. I believe Temple University was close by making it a great place for student. But parking was horrendous and it was a Sunday!
