I have stayed here twice because of no vacancies at other choice hotels. Unless they changed in three months this place was very unclean with dust and debris under the beds. The room smelled of mildew. My girlfriend had gotten bit on her back by something and I had broken out and had a hives attack because of the uncleaned floors, ac, bed and curtains. The place is not updated at all which is a problem because we had a broken lamp that hung over and a rocky bed that was unattached to the wall. The bathroom had mold, stains, holes and leaks with a tiny cheap unadjustable shower head. I was terrified that I could not lock the see through window in the bathroom. Someone keeps counteracting all of the complaints at Rodeway making the reviews and stars high. This is fraud. See for yourself but for me I will never in a million years bring me and my family to this filthy, unkept place!
Small but clean. Comfortable bed. Very dated from yesteryear. No vanity in the very small bathroom, so very little horizontal space to lay anything down. No tub, just shower. See through curtain in the bathroom window, so I hung a towel for privacy. Okay for a guy to drop and flop, but a little shaky for the wife. More like 2.5 stars. $68 is what I paid, others in the area are $100 +.
Clean. Very clean. Good quality linens, carpet, paint, etc. No ice machine anywhere close to our room, ended up walking to the Turkey Hill nextdoor. Outlet by the table did not work (so I couldnt plug my phone or laptop in while working - very inconvenient). Also the bathroom faucet had a leak or something that caused a little water to spray out sideways, flooding the sinktop in water. We stayed two nights and when we got back the second night it was like we never checked in; the turndown service was amazing. 3 stars because of the outlet, mostly, but also the other inconveniences. They also have a later than normal check-in and earlier than normal check-out, and the room was a bit smaller than most hotels of similar price. All that said, I will probably look for a different hotel next time Im in the area.
We stayed at Rodeway Inn in Akron, PA while in town for my brothers graduation party. The room was clean. Both beds actually had decent sheets on them (not stained, stiff, itchy or smelly!) and the mattress was actually quite comfortable (which is a great review from me since Ive had a semi-unsuccessful lower lumbar surgery)! The room didnt have that oh so familiar hotel smell to it (we stayed in a nonsmoking room) and it even had a small refrigerator and microwave in it. The room also came with cable TV, free WiFi, towels and amenities. It also had comfortable chairs outside the door for those nice nights that you dont feel like being stuck inside. It didnt have coffee (which would be nice since most people drink coffee) and the decor is pretty outdated (which is why I give it a 4 star). Honestly though, for the price, you cant expect The Hilton. Its definitely a bargainbargain for what you pay.
Not what we expected. Weve stayed at roadway inns before this is not worthy of the name. It is not a horrible motel...but its a MOTEL! No breakfast, no vending machines, no wifi, and only full size beds (not queen). Again it was not horrible, but also not what we expect from a roadway inn.
Tetanus Shot please!!! Dirty sheets, dirty lamp shades, dirty carpets, dirty bathroom floor, SeeSaw Toilet missing a bolt that felt like it was gonna tip over. Rude owner, Argumentative over dirty/stained sheets in the 1st of 3 rooms he tried to put me in. refrigerators all unplugged so they are warm, cant be used, 2 different remotes for TV, slow internet, Bed as hard a concrete, heater blows curtains up so light is shining in all night! Staple poked me in the leg, coming up through the chair...Im not the pickiest person when it comes to hotels, but this one should be leveled, Rebuilt & get some owners/Management that cares, knows how to clean, & that doesnt argue with the customer and give decent customer service! DONT STAY HERE!....EVER....UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!......SLEEP IN YOUR CAR IF YOU HAVE TOO! $30 HOTEL CHARGING $80!!
Stay there on Mar-30 to Mar-31, The room was ok but could use an up date on anything, Woke up about 4:00 AM to go to the bathroom turn on the light and find a bed bug on my arm of my sweatshirt grabbed a cup and got it in there, By the time morning came I had sores around my right thumb were the dam bug must have bitten me in my sleep, I show the person in the office the bug in the cup all he said was thanking for letting him know, While in my car he can out to the room #6 and took the sheets and blanket and the towels out of the room and look at around the bed, It`s been over 5 years the last time I was there when it was call the Akron Motel, I won`t be coming back there again,

2021-08-08This place is cute and simple. The area around the motel was very clean. The people at the front desk were very nice and sincere. The room was very clean but a little dated. The beds were very comfortable . The price met the room equally. All in all a great place and very quiet.

2021-09-18Room is infested with bed bugs. I got ate alive and my daughter got chewed as well Currently prepping to sleep in the car. Waste of money The shower leaks all over the floor and you get one roll of toilet paper and one mini bottle of shampoo for two people.. cherry on top? Its nice to know in case of an emergency they have no one working the front desk while they sleep..

2021-07-05Smelled soooo bad. Wi-fi barely worked. No 3 prong plugs for my computer. I dont know who is writing good reviews for this hotel but I think they are friends of the owners. Pay more and stay elsewhere!

2020-08-23Rooms very dirty & was advused after checking in that Stayover services were not being provided due to Covid. Called Choice Hotels and though they offered to clean the room for the remainder of my stay, the Housekeeping was nothing but them providing towels and making the bed as a Spider which I removed myself daily from the shower and a roach on the ceiling was overlooked. Dont let the price fool you. As I was visiting for a Funeral I had no choice but to stay in the filthy animal infested place. Not once did the owner try to approach me about checking out early bc I had a non-refundable booking which made it that much more wgile trying to deal with the death of a Family member over the past 3 days.

2018-08-26Beautiful Inn! Im usually hyper critical of where I stay so when I say it was clean and cozy I mean it. This Inn has been well maintained and the staff is wonderful. Ive stayed in so much worse and paid so much more. The price was perfect. I was greatly surprised at how nice the room was.Thank you for a wonderful stay

2019-08-04What a wonderful quaint place! With brass head boards and real furniture. A wooden table with two chairs. Have been on road for > month and this was the best night sleep have received!!! Just a few minutes to dutch wonderland and outlets. May need some wallpaper re-pasting but would HIGHLY recommend this place.
