Would give zero stars, if possible! Came in for Kidney stones... 1. The emergency room was completely empty, but I had to wait an hour (with excruciating pains) just for someone to walk in the room. 2. The nurse took my blood when I told her 5 times that I do not consent (I had bloodwork done 2 days prior and know hospitals tend to up testing, for financial gain). 3. While in gut wrenching pain, I continuously had to press the call button and no one would come...at one point I clocked 45 minutes! AND during those 45 minutes I did not see even one other patient enter (so its not like all hands were on deck). In fact, a group of workers were laughing and having a great time outside of my room and I had to physically yell to get someones attention! I would rather travel an hour away, then to ever step foot in this hospital again... Go anywhere besides here.
Unbelievable that I even feel the need to write this. Unfortunately for us this is the nearest hospital to our home, and this is the first place any of us are brought in an emergency situation, but the staff do not seem to care why you are admitted, theyre just focused on pushing you out as soon as they possibly can. And were really expected to trust these people with our lives...
In September my mother came to this hospital and never came out. In the early morning hours of overnight on September 7th my dad, my sister, and I after receiving the fateful phone call showed up. As we arrived we received no sympathy from Roxborough Hospital while we were and still are devastated of our loss. They would not even give my sister and I a chance to say a final goodbye to our mother because they said due to the pandemic only one person could go in the room. Totally unacceptable and dead wrong on this hospitals behalf. I do not care that we were in the midst of a pandemic. How dare they not let my sister and I come to the room to see our mother. I did not speak out on this at the time though looking back on it I remain disgusted about it today. It makes it seem as if staff could not even display slight sympathy I guess due to the pandemic. Shame on this hospital! Offering condolences matters, in the toughest of times people remember it. Being stoic upon this as they were was a cardinal sin.
I can’t speak of the ER or in-patient care but will say the radiology department was great during my recent visit. My insurance forces me to use their testing facilities since my PCP is affiliated w/RMH (my specialists are Penn) so I had no clue what to except. It was an easy check-in at the front desk, the MRI tech (Sabeeta Nazir) was so kind throughout my testing as I was pretty scared & my results were shared w/my specialist 12 hrs post test. Happy to know their testing facilities are still good.
I have never had a bad experience at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. As so many hospitals have either consolidated or closed completely in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, I hope Roxborough Memorial stays operational in our community. Very friendly and caring staff.
I can’t speak for the whole hospital but please stay away from their ER! They are terrible they do not listen, I was severely dehydrated they didn’t even give me iv with fluid then I went back a couple days later because my symptoms were worse! I was put in a room separated from my husband. This is the third time I went and had a horrible experience. I don’t care if I am about to die I will never go here again. Please go to a different hospital! Even the doctors are rude and will tell you “oh I don’t specialize that.” Please stay away, especially if you are black!
I came in for high blood pressure and assumption of a uti from the moment I got to Triad I was being dismissed of my concerns they told me that 143/102 was not a high blood pressure of concerning even with me having hospital of reoccurring high numbers and being told by my on call doctor to go to the er. I was told I didn’t have uti and gets sent itIt the door so I sit in my car and read paperwork in which the results indicate that I have uti and kidney stones! As I go back to confront the matter it was confirmed that I read the results right and I was indeed what I thought it was and they told me to just send the results to my pc I. Which all could’ve been tested in the er and is not safe with the levels are unknown… also they did not take a proper reading
This isn’t my regular hospital. When I initially arrived, I went to the wrong building. The staff there was helpful and redirected me. Arrived for the COVID shot today. The appointment started on time without delay. The staff was very friendly and walked me through the process. The nurse did a great job and the shot was painless.
My husband and I went to Roxborough Hospital for our Covid shots. The atmosphere at the center was relaxed and professional. Each step was explained carefully. We understood what to expect before, during, and after the shots. Everyone was kind and reassuring. An excellent experience!
Amazingly friendly staff, super kind and understanding when I got my first COVID vaccine dose. They are a fine oiled machine now and know what they are doing. I can’t wait for my second dose and to be fully vaccinated! Thank you to RN Melanie Santiago and all the staff at Roxborough Memorial Hospital.
I was brought to the ER at Roxborough Hospital by PFD Medics, due to shortness of breath. I ended up being admitted and spending 7 days as an inpatient. During my stay I was treated with respect and compassion by everyone I encountered. On my last day there I was able to meet the CEO of the hospital as he made the rounds of all the patient rooms. He was accompanied by Miranda from the patient experience department. I experienced a small issue with my discharge from the hospital. I contacted Miranda and the issue was corrected very quickly. Being in the hospital is never a pleasant thing but the staff at Roxborough Hospital work hard to make their patients as comfortable as possible.
I went here today for outpatient procedure- upper endoscopy. It was amazingly organized, efficient and caring. Last time I had this done in Chicago it was 8 hours. Here 2.5 hours from start to finish. Everyone wished me luck, gave me warmed blankets, and a snack when I woke up, treated like a queen. Thank you!
I suppose people either love or hate their experience at ROXBOROUGH MEMORIAL. As for me I LOVE the care I have always received there. And then there are the caregivers. ALWAYS knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and pleasant. PROUD & GRATEFUL to have ROXBOROUGH MEMORIAL as my HOMETOWN HOSPITAL.
Arrived at the front desk for a procedure, but did not have an actual physical paper prescription. I became upset because after all the phone calls to make the appointment, I have an HMO, no one told me I needed to bring the paper. I told the staff I was upset, and that I have cancer and low blood sugar. I asked for saltines and they said no because of covid. They called the guard who stood over me and made me feel threatened and claustrophobic until I went outside to calm down. Luckily my doctors office is in the building and I could get my script. I hope I dont have to go there again. I am sick and I needed help and they called security.
Do not come to this facility. The ER was dirty and the staff was extremely inattentive . The doctor refused to give me IV fluids when i was beyond dehydrated but thought a CAT that i was charge $14,000 for would help. I constantly refused to have one because i knew didn’t need it. I was discharged with barely little to no care and was ADMITTED to another hospital for a WEEK due to the INCOMPETENCE here. Stay away if you truly care about your health.
My beautiful wonderful, mother went into this hospital and did not come back out.. not even one night. She fell unattended and the hospital did not give her the care she needed- the nurse and doctors gave us a run around tale of what really happened. She was 61 years old . The hospital did not give any grieving paperwork to my family and we still await the full medical report. I called the patience experience line two days ago and did not receive a call back yet. Please do not let your loved ones go here.
My family member died at this hospital, because of incompetence. I pleaded with the ER staff to transfer them to Jefferson Center City and they refused. The staff were basically standing around trying to figure out what to do while my family members condition was deteriorating. If you can avoid this hospital please do. The state needs to close it. Its a neighborhood hospital with sub standard employees in the ER.
I am so grateful to have a hospital like this right in the neighborhood. Ive had to take my infant to the ER twice now, and both times we were seen very quickly, and treated with such amazing care. Each doctor and nurse we encountered was professional and kind. I cannot say enough about the staff here- they are world class!
This place harmed a friend of mine on several occasions. She felt weak and helpless due to a few evil staff employeed by the hospital. When she tried to complain the hospital blocked her instead of hearing her out. She’s an African American woman with a serious health condition. They pushed Medication on her without her consent, had non medical staff touching her, and threatened her. This is not patient care and I am appalled. I can only imagine how many other people they treat like this!
My friend was taunted by nurses and doctors during her visit for a sickle cell crisis. She was given medications that causes drowsiness and sedation, then forced to leave the hospital. RMH has turned off their comments off and locked their tweets but this will not go unnoticed. Sickle cell patients should receive proper treatment and not be taunted and told they sound like a “bad cat”. RMH administration needs to have a full out orientation on sickle cell! Immediately
I got treated in the ER for dog bites and the nurses and doctors were friendly. The problem I have is that they suggested that I get the rabies vaccine which requires 4 days of shots. They had me come into the ER each time and therefore I got charged for my $300 ER co-pay 4 times. The first time is obviously understandable but I feel it was unfair for them to require me to pay for each visit as a regular ER visit. I called billing and got two of the charges reduced to $150 but I still feel like this is very unfair. I would recommend avoiding this hospital if possible.
Took my brother to the ER for a minor tonsil infection. They gave him a cat scan and pumped him with fluids when all he needed was drainage and an antibiotic. We were there for over 6 hours with no food or water. The room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy, and the staff was inattentive. Told us the cat scan results would be ready in 20 minutes but it took over 2 hours. The tonsils ended up draining itself so drainage from the hospital was not required. They proceeded to recommend a specialist for further care. Expected to get out quick because of the reviews but this was not the case. They gave him a prescription that was worthless for today since pharmacies are now closed. Overall, I would recommend going somewhere else unless you have no choice.
Dont ever go here for an emergency. 4 hour wait not to be seen and to have the triage nurse say its only 1 Doctor working. People should be informed with that information before they sit and wait for 4 whole hours!!!! Horrible!! Needless to say Ill never return here again!
By far the worst hospital let alone ER in PA! If I could give the zero stars I would. The ER nurses there are completely horrible and take your pain as a complete joke it’s very disgusting. Please if you have Sickle Cell and you’re going through a crisis PLEASE do not go here, they will force you out and give you literally the bare minimum treatment for your pain. I’m sure this isn’t the first time anyone heard of this when it comes to this hospital but something has to change!
My elderly mom was a patient in the Stroke Unit- the staff was exceptional, informative and loving. They even braided her hair! The room was clean and the meals satisfactory. The social worker Mary Anne- guided us through the process for extended care and was patient with all of our questions. I would recommend this facility
ZERO STARS! Negative stars, if that was an option! I just visited this ER on Sunday afternoon around 3pm, we had been there two summers ago for my visiting MILs broken elbow. The experience didnt seem tremendously terrible, so my husband and I figured it was an adequate choice. I was there for about 3.5 hours only to have the attending tell me, Yeah, youre not feeling well. Take some ibuprofen or naproxen sodium. The staff here is apathetic and awful from the administrative staff to the techs to the doctors. I think I was only attended to because I was a super squeaky wheel. This place is filthy. The sheets of the bed were dirty. The sheets on the table in radiology were also dirty. Also, fun? I was complaining that my aches were getting worse and the nurse insisted it was just that the beds were uncomfortable. Even more fun? When I told her I was having an allergic reaction to something, she told me, Ive never heard of that as a symptom... I told her she could talk to my allergist...who is an actual medical professional. Roxborough Memorial Hospital should maybe consider that shrugging emoji as their new logo. ¯_(ツ)_/¯It looks like you had ovarian cysts that ruptured. ¯_(ツ)_/¯We gave you the wrong drug. ¯_(ツ)_/¯Sorry, but it looks like your loved one is dead. ¯_(ツ)_/¯Roxborough Memorial Hospital ¯_(ツ)_/¯I think I would have been better off with taking a Benadryl at home to pass out for the day and going to see my GP on Monday, which is basically what I did...but you know, at the cost of a $125 copay and a horrible experience. At least the nurses appreciated how cute my toddler is. (Hes adorbs!)
I told the PA Rebecca that I was pregnant and believed I had a miscarriage. I work as an ER tech at two hospitals and have seen these kind of clots often and even had pictures of a clot that came out as well as my pregnancy tests. She acted as if she didn’t believe me and kinda rushed me out the door as well as being rude cutting me off as I was talking and didn’t perform a pelvic exam even with my bleeding. She told she didn’t know what the clot was and I wasn’t pregnant and it was probably my period as if I don’t know the difference between my period and abnormal vaginal bleeding. I was told how far along I thought I was didnt match the size of the clot that came out like what? I called my obgyn and told her about this and she referred me to one of her partners to get me seen ASAP. I in fact did have a miscarriage. She had no sense of compassion or any type of empathy, even if she didn’t think I had a miscarriage. I will never go back here ever again. It’s disheartening to know that there are people that work in hospitals and act this way especially because I’ll be a nurse with in a year. Idk what was worse about my experience, her, or the misdiagnosis. My nurse Esther was very nice. But the experience was terrible and enough wasn’t done. I would give negative stars if I could
Terrible hospital. Please consider anywhere else but here if you want to get well soon!!! I was there for 5 days with pneumonia. On the 2nd day, one of the nursing staff came to take my temperature and she didn’t put the disposable sleeve on the thermometer before taking the temperature!! When we told the Doctor and nurse manager they promised that they would take all the necessary tests to make sure I wasn’t infected with anything but when we asked them to write us a report of what happened they refused!!!!It is a very disappointing and disorganized place. Their lab is not equipped to do most tests in house and they have to out-source so as a result normal tests that should only take a day, takes 3 days to get back if it doesn’t get lost in the process!!!On top of everything that went wrong, while I was there, they had to evacuate the floor I was on, because everyone was getting the flu on top of what they came in for. So not only you don’t get better, you end up with another disease if you go there for treatment!!!
The worst hospital in the entire country. I read the reviews and the owner is sending automated messages to all the people who agree with me saying “ let’s talk about it bc memorial is a good hospital. There was blood on my floor, filthy room, they forgot who I was and keep trying to tell me I do t have Crohn’s disease which I’ve been diagnosed and have had to deal with for 5 years now. This place is a joke. Bad nursing staff, bad attentive skills, and definitely a lie and a scam if you think I’m gonna believe that you guys were awarded for patient safety. Full of sh*t this hospital is.
I had an unexpected health issue that required a short stay here. From the front door in, everyone was welcoming, helpful, and so accommodating. The staff is amazing. It was truly a wonderful environment for someone in need of professional health care. I highly recommend this hospital.
Not the place to go for a serious problem! The staff seems to work at a slow pace as if time is not important, but when you complain, its always a excuse from the staff! My mother never had her temp, blood sugar or any other vitals taken in a timely manner, and one day after expressing my concern, I took my Mothers temperature. Good thing, it was 89! No excuse, and I had asked the staff numerous times to keep an eye on it! Her blood sugar was 24 once, again the staff was careless! who is running this place? clearly not upper management!!!!! Transfer out, if you are in there! The director of nursing is the rudest person I have ever spoken to. According to her her staff is the best this is after mistakes, rude comments by her staff, and generally a I dont care attitude!!! Can you believe a ICU nurse made a end of life comment to me, regarding my Mother, this is after only 1 day there, and she was getting better. Nothing like giving the family hope! After I asked her not to say this again(especially in front of my Mother) she repeated it again
IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOSPITAL A ZERO 0000 STAR I WOULD! The most un pleasant, rude workers that have no interest In helping people who are sick and in need. I had a worker sneak and duck away from me because she thought I was totally blind. The staff treated me awful even down to the security. The Doctor gave me medication for an infant and now Im seeing another Doctor, its a wonder this place is still open. New training is necessary. The city will need to do a review and the cameras caught everything. This place is DISGUSTING to the workers who really work for our public well being and concerned for ones heath! Shame on Roxborough HospitalFox channel 29 lets go!
Very dissatisfied I left feelin worst than what I came in. The nurse damn near rushed me out the room by putting my sneakers on the bed n saying see ya. The dr ignored the fact that I haven’t kept anything dwn n days couldn’t even get fluids from iv. I was not treated like my illness mattered or my health was of any concern I would never come back to this hospital. Literally body dehydrated sugar low having heart palpitations n was told drink teaspoon of water every two hours.
Where do I start? I went to RMH in Jan 2014 after I swallowed a piece of steak and couldnt get it out of my windpipe. The got me into a room after about 20m waiting and the floor of my room was covered in blood. They gave me water and were preparing a muscle relaxant. The water finally helped the steak pass and I was discharged after about 10 minutes, without any medicine, any shots, and never even saw a doctor. They charged me nearly $500 for the visit and this week, over FIVE YEARS LATER, they sent my bill to a collection agency for the third time in the last five years after I already paid in 2014. Their accounting department is a nightmare and they couldnt even see the check had been cashed even though Ive provided proof of cashing. Ive called about five times a day for the last three days and no one will pick up or return my voicemails....I will never be returning here, ever.
If I could rate it a zero I would. I went to the ER for chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.. Every heart disease/attack symptom. They denied my husband to go with me in triage. I told them I had difficulty talking because of shortness of breath. And they said no he still cant. They then took me back and STILL denied me my husband once back there. They ignored me, denied me tests, didnt provide a blanket, all while babysitting a drunk, high, kid next to me who had chest pain from doing cocaine. They allowed his girlfriend in and ran a gamut of tests all while he cursed them out. (Both were white .)I couldnt even cry out for help and they really just ignored me. Then I realized I was white enough, but my husband wasnt. Im not SAYING theyre racist jerks waiting for a lawsuit but Im sure you could draw youre own conclusions.
I had 6 operations at roxborough memorial hospital, I had rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient and I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with the excellent care I have received over the years. I would definitely recommend this institution to anyone. I heard the hospital used to have a bad reputation but since I have frequented it, I have been very happy with the care I received from the surgeons to the nursing staff and administrative staff.
Initially when I went here for the 1st time is was ok after that I came back because I couldn’t breathe and I was sent home 3 different times with them knowing I can’t breath I almost died honestly never will I return here unless it’s fo a basic checkup this hospital doesn’t know how to handle serious matters at all wouldnt recommend it
I dont understand why Ive called several times over the past week to schedule an radiology exam and no one has even called me back. I called in to speak to someone else like a supervisor but I was transferred yet again to a voicemail. What kind of hospital has more than a week response time when people need testing done as soon as possible
I have three huge issues with this hospital.1- I went here for an x-ray with the prescription from my rhuematologist. They only did half of what she ordered, so then I had to get another x-ray! Obviously I did it at a completely different facility.2- When I had the x-ray done, I gave them the information to forward the results to my doctor. They never forwarded the results to my doctor, so then I had to go back to their x-ray department in order to obtain a copy of the results.3- They KEEP BILLING ME, EVEN THOUGH I PAID! For whatever reason, they didnt collect my copay at the time of the x-ray. I received a bill about 4 months later. I paid it. Then I got another bill, forgot I already paid it and paid again. I took note of the date I sent the check, and checked to see if it was cashed. Today I received ANOTHER bill. I went online to my bank account and did some years worth of statement reviews and found I paid this bill last October and again last month (June). Im writing them a letter and if I dont get a response I will be contacting the Attorney General.
This hospital has really stepped into the 21st century! Im impressed with the level of professional care and quickness provided today. I came to get a x-ray and bloodwork today. I was prepared to be there a long time. Even brought my tablet to get some work done and watch a movie too. Never got a chance, lol! Wait time 0! Wow. I WILL be coming back again based on todays visit and the professional demeanor of all the staff, from registration on up!
The Doctors were complacent. Ive had a serious change in symptoms that were quite alarming from a headache Ive been experiencing for the last 3 months. The doctors essentially pushed the work onto a neurologist appointment I have — at the end of the month mind you. I was fortunate enough to get a smug good luck fromOne the of the Doctors on that upcoming appointment as I was discharged. No real remedy or examination. I was even insulted by Doctor number 2 as if I wasnt being honest and transparent enough with her, who arbitrarily showed up mid ER session.
The staff (except one nurse) were completely rude with lack of passion or consideration. Im unsure how any passed medical score. I was in excruciating pain and more ability to hold a conversation. I actually heard the DoCTOR in charge walk out of my room with her stubby hands up and say ugh I cant discharge her. Due to the fact of being in so much pain I wasnt able to call around to places to help me. -Apparently because the hospital (once again lacked the ability for care or help. Was wimpering in pain, they had nurses laughing and sent to my room to shut up and stop being a baby. Completely arragant. BUT they made sure the paperwork to bill me was completely intact before discharging me into the lobby. The place is a joke. The leading doctor, dressed in street clothes,, may look like a geek with her weird big glasses 🤓 but she isnt smart and compassion and the ability to relate to anothers pain isnt even on her side. Y cat has actually showered more love and compassion than that place
The quality of care was fine in the ER. I was able to be seen right away. However, after attempting to pay my bill numerous times, the billing department since has yet to apply my payment a year after my visit. I have given them my credit card information three seperate times. All three times they state they have processed the payment, then three months later I get another invoice for the amount I paid. After checking my credit card statement I realize they never applied my payment. Either the Billing Dept is full of idiots or something shady is going on. Needless to say, the whole process is frustrating and Im still dealing with them. I am going to the actual office and pay them in person. I will never go back there if I can.!
I have been going to Roxborough Memorial Hospital for years for imaging and Physical therapy. Their radiology departments is able to get you in quick for CT scans, MRIs, and Xrays. One of my favorite physical therapists is Lynda at this hospital. The ER is not the best compared to others.
Had to go to the ER for a knee injury. At first doctors thought it was arthritis. Turns out it was just twisted and the reason why I had constant pain. Never-mind that they sent me a bill over a year after I went there for $150 which apparently is the hospital copay for my insurance. The letter looked more like a scam than anything else, the logo not being correct and asking to write down all my credit card information on a piece of paper to send back to an unknown address. Called the hospital for information and they confirmed thats how they bill. Looks awfully fishy.
This was the best E.R visit Ive ever been to!!! Great staff, the nurses are awesome. They actually gave me an xray, when other E.Rs will touch the hurt area press it and say your ok. Then discharge you. There was no wait, I went right back. My total visit was only an hour and a half.
Fast, attentive, nurturing staff. I cannot say enough good things about the doctors and nurses here. They treat you like a person rather than a number. No one WANTS to go to the E.R. but I will gladly return here without question. Dont listen to the locals that talk down on Memorial.
Clincally, I have little complaint. My father is being treated at Roxborough, and he is improving. Patient relations, accountability, and reponse to routine questions is abysmal. My father has been in Roxborough for a week, and I have heard nothing substantive or even in passing from the medical team. They work on ideas from the 20th century that treatment is their business and not the patients or his familys. The doctor attending my father disdains the public. I have never been closer to suing any business or person in my life. Calls to the hospital go unanswered. With some outstanding exceptions, nursing is done as a job not an art or a healing trade. Nurses wishes are given priority over a patients or a family members. Ask a question, and youre treated like a pest or a meddler. With competition the way it is today, hospitals have to have more than medical prowess. Roxborough, in general, has no bedside manner. The doctor treating my father should be relegated to amphibian obstetrics.
Was complaining of chest and abdominal pain, as well as abdominal burning, and all that was done was a GI cocktail was given which did nothing but make my mouth numb for fifteen minutes. I complained of nausea and pain for 12 hours and was given nothing for pain at all, and it took 4 hours before I received nausea medication. Ive had issues with them on at least 4 different occasions........ smh
Im literally sitting in the back have gotten pass registration 3 hours ago and still have seen no nurse. Nites are the Worst. Arch someone needs to come and see these ppl are getting paid to do nothing .. And not pay enough attention to their patrons nd thats y theirs no one their
I wish I could them 0 stars and here is why.I keep receiving a bill for a service I received and was paid for in 2014.My insurance company even verifies this and the hospital still bills me. I just reported them to the Better Business Bureau. The staff are nasty and rude.
Spoke with the CEO. Here is a person who really knows how to listen and understand a problem. After speaking with him about various problems with the Behavior health unit, Mr. Adamo plans on making some critical changes. The plans include less medication and faster recovery times. If you have an elderly loved one who suddenly becomes psychotic or confused this would be the place to send them.
Hospital mis - diagnosed my Grandfather with possible alzheimers. The hospital gave him depression medicine that was not needed. Turns out he only had a mild stroke.I never saw the test results but , that is a very confusing diagnoses mix-up because an alzheimer brain and a stroke brain look completely different. Besides people with Alzheimers normally dont go down hill in one weeks time. Poor service, bad social worker. Not the best care in Philadelphia
Pretty much what everyone else has already said. Billing and customer service are very inept. I was billed several times for a service I was assured would be covered by my insurance. A perfect example of the flawed health insurance and hospital industries. Unacceptable.
Good staff , took care of me asap , motorcycle incident and gave me x rays found out what damage was done and made sure i got home with all the care i needed . SHOUT OUT TO BARBERA AT THE FRONT DESK MADE SURE I HAD A POSITIVE WELCOME TO THE E.R I LOVE HER SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON AND REALLY MADE ME FEEL GOOD
As the owner of ADVENT, a local events company in Roxborough, we could not be more appreciative of how involved the hospital gets in each of our community efforts. This photo, taken by Christy McMahon of Studio Luminoso, was of part of their team out at Roxtoberfest in 2016. Kudos to Roxborough Memorial!
SO FAR THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF IF NOT THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN ANY HOSPITAL IN MY LIFE TIME!!!! FROM MYSELF AND MY FIANCE BEING DISRESPECTED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, TO HAVING A DOCTOR WHOM SEEMED TO BE INTOXICATED, DICTATING THE TYPE OF MEDICATION YOULL BE RECEIVING. NOW AT 6 IN THE MORNING I ASKED IF I COULD GET MY MEDICATION PUSHED UP ON A ONE TIME DOSAGE BECAUSE IM IN ALLOT OF PAIN AND THE MEDICATION IS DUE IN JUST A HALF AND HOUR. THE RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY WOULD ONLY GIVE ME A 1/4 OF TYE DOSAGE AND HAVE ME WAIT ANOTHER HOUR TO RECEIVE THE REST. IM NOT SURE IF MY INTELLIGENCE WAS BEING QUESTIONED OR RATHER THE DOCTOR ISNT TOO SMART WITH SIMPLE ARITHMETIC!!!!! THIS WILL BE MY LAST TIME EVER IN THOS HOSPITAL AND I TRULY ASK THAT PEOPLE SECOND GUESS ANY OPPORTUNITY TO COME HERE. AT A TIME WHERE DISPARITY IS AT AN ALL TIME LOW, THIS HOSPITAL HAS SHOWN ME EXACTLY WHY. TONSAY THAT THE STAFF ARE VERY UN-PROFESSIONAL WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!! EACH AND EVERYONE INCLUDING THE DOCTOR NEED TO BE REEVALUATED AND SENT BACK TO TRAINING. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!!!!! BY FAR!!!!! ASIDE FROM MY NURSE WHO TRIED HER BEST TO ACCOMMODATE ME ALTHOUGH THE DOCTORS ASSUMED MY INTELLIGENCE WAS SOMETHING THEY COULD PLAY WITH I HOPE THAT IN READING THIS THEYLL REALIZE THAT EVERYONE THAT COMES THROUGH THESE DOORS ISNT A FOOL
THE BILLING DEPARTMENT IS TERRIBLE AND SHADY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU CAN. THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE. They have a 3rd party billing collection service called National Recovery Agency. It really appears that they do everything they can to confuse and screw over the patient. TERRIBLE

2022-05-11My friend came here with severe pains in her stomach and lady parts right before shift change, not only did it take them an hour to do the ultrasound but also never told us the results from the blood work done at the very beginning (almost 12 hrs before) and they barely kept up with her results period. Very disappointed in their treatment and their lack of professionalism. Definitely not gonna recommend them to anyone close to me and not gonna come back here.

2022-02-28I had a recent visit at this hospital for an ultrasound. Normally I would’ve gone to Jefferson but my obgyn told me to just go here since it’s closer. First mistake. Everything was fine until the tech took me into the room and introduced me to her student. BROOKE GOLDEN. She has the nastiest attitude I’ve ever encountered and she needs to really humble herself!! She didn’t say hi or anything. Just looked me up and down and stared at me. Then of course I asked for her to leave because it’s already an uncomfortable experience without the extra attitude from a student. I found her social media and the hospital should really take a look at it. She posts some questionable things at best. I’m sure she’s treated other patients this way just based off how she acts on social media. She should really be let go. Once again her name is BROOKE CLAIRE GOLDEN!!!! About 5,2 blonde hair, kinda fat and a horrible attitude! Can’t miss her!

2022-05-29I’ve never had a bad experience here - both times I’ve been to the ER for injuries I’m always seen right away (unheard of in any other ER) and the staff is so kind. Even when I fractured my foot and was hopping on one foot from my Uber to the door, the security guard saw me on camera and came rushing out with a wheelchair. Everyone has been attentive and taken their time to explain everything to me.

2022-04-04My daughter just went to the ER there and saw no doctor saw her and they only did a X-ray and walked her out the main entrance. Now I’m confused as to why would they do that when no one saw her. And she was also told that they don’t do discharge paperwork. How is she supposed to know if her ankle is broken or not?

2022-01-03I was in emergency and not from the registration desk to the back patients waiting or when the nurse or doctor came in contact with me. Did they show any concern about my symptoms of a bad cough & a sore throat. So when my throat culture results came back. My friend informed me he tested positive for Covid-19. Every one who waited on me never ask me if I even got the vaccines. Or came in contact with someone who has Covid-19. So the doctor who is supposed to care about patients never gave me a lead to go get a test for Covid-19 he said I don’t know anyone or any place that I can recommend. Jan 2 around 8-9 am at this hospital wow. Why is this hospital even open???

2022-01-12I had one of the absolute worst experiences of my life in a ER last night. SO BAD TO THE POINT THAT I NEEDED TO WRITE A REVIEW. I went into the ER last night with bad chest pains and the Nurse Erin Jones was theeee absolute worst nurse I ever met instead of listening to me and being empathetic she asks me if I’m a nurse why didn’t I know to follow up with my pcp after I had chest pains before… then she proceeded to tell me that the doctor will not see me I can leave the hospital 😡 after this I was livid I demanded to see the doctor and a nurse manager

2022-02-04I should sue for mal practice after my experience at Roxbury Memorial Hospitals Emergency Room. On a Sunday morning, I slipped on my bathroom floor and went to Roxbury Memorial because of the close proximity. The emergency room was quiet but I still waited over an hour to see a doctor, whos first words were I dont prescribe pain killers so dont ask... When they X-ray-ed my arm, I vomited from the pain the technician was so rough. When I offered an insurance card they were noticeably surprised... And the cherry on top - Roxbury Memorial read my X-rays UPSIDE DOWN and misdiagnosed me with a broken wrist instead of a broken elbow. I was properly diagnosed and bandaged by my orthopedist a couple days later. Now that I know the area, I know to go to Lankenau.

2022-01-25Dont bother going to the ER, they wont care about figuring out what your problem is, just how fast they can send you back out.Wanted to make an additional comment, but they will severely overcharge you alongside improper and negligent care. Please for your own health, do not go to their Emergency Room.

2021-08-15I have had two procedures done here in the last year - and my daughter was treated at their emergency room. Ive experienced nothing but great service and friendly staff and the treatment and support absolutely needed. Every community should have such a great hospital as Roxborough does. We are lucky to have it.
