Lot of food critics in this section who are trying to review this place like its a 5 star restaurant. They obviously have a very high opinion of themselves. I couldnt be happier that theres a rutters up here now. I had a great experience and good food! Hope there are more Rutters stores up here in the future!
You do not post your menu prices which is odd. You have call in order so prices would be nice! We arent impressed.
Really nice place that is kind of in an out-of-the-way location, that has a large area for trucks to park, and inside, had all you need for food, even made to order! Has truck diesel pumps, and easy access to it all. I like this place! Very clean and brand new at the moment... Im hoping it stays that way!
The store is very roomy, and I didnt have to wait in line the 2 times I went this week.But, a few things I was less than satisfied with:First visit, I ordered a fish sandwich. Just fish, provolone cheese, and tartar sauce. I wasnt impressed with the flavor or the fact that it seemed overly moist and was falling apartin my hands.Second visit, I ordered fried rice with beef and sauteed onions. I realized when I ordered it that it was pricey. But, when I got home, I also realized that the portion was very small. The onions seemed more like they were fried a little instead of sauteed.Also, I asked the cashier if they had any caffeine pills, like NoDoze or Vivaren, behind the counter. Because I didnt see any medications on the floor. He had no idea.I know they just opened, so I will cut them some slack. But, zI wont get fried rice again. Not when it is a better deal from Bellefonte Wok.
Love that Place Man!! Always nice folks and they don’t mind working in customer service. I’ve never seen an employee get mad/upset there yet! That’s crazy for a convenient store/retail store!!!
Ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries and a milk shake. Drove back to my house about 3 miles from Rutgers. The burger was cold and the milkshake had chunks of ice in it. Really very disappointing. Called the store to talk to somebody about my experience. They could not transfer my call to the kitchen staff.
Nice big and clean parking. Prices for food and snacks lower than in other truck stops. Also they see some real food like milk and eggs. Has CAT scale. We definitely need more places like this along the roads.

Rutters is located on Route 150 in Benner Township the store on the outside looks kinda like a TA or a Pilot Probably cuz it’s off of a Interstate and there are trucks anyways when I walked in I was amazed with the store the vibe was great the selection was good the service was great the prices were ok the also have alcohol they have a seating area for the made to order food which is great the bathroom is very clean they have touch screen fountain drinks and a wide variety of drinks and chips they also take Covid 19 very seriously they have sliding doors to limit you from touching surfaces and the bathrooms has a no touch doorknob the store is underated better then Wawa or Sheetz
Love your slushees. They rock! So good. Keep them at all costs. You all are doing a good job. Keep up the good work and stay safe during Covid.

I stopped in to get an American sub, ham, turkey and roast beef, it was only a small portion and it didnt taste all that good, wasnt impressed.

Since your pumps wouldnt accept my loyalty or bank card, I had to go to sheetz to get gas. Wont go out of my way to stop here again.
This place is nice,we need more places like this throughout PA and all over the U.S.

2022-05-11So, I get off work late at night and often stop at Rutters. But if one particular old man is working, you could be standing at an unmanned register for upwards of 20 minutes. Tonight I stood at the register for 10 minutes before I put my stuff back and said screw it, Im going to sheetz. Honestly, no problems unless the old man is working nights. He has no concept of paying attention to the register. He needs to go.

2020-08-31Very impressed with cleanliness inside and outside. Coffee is fresh and delicious: lots of choices. Service is great too.- very well-staffed- greeted as we came in the door. Only 3 in line and a second employee came to the checkout. Were retired truck drivers and have been in many, many stops. Appreciate your excellent service.

2021-06-17Horrible food. The chicken salad sandwich ended up being just chicken salad inside of a black claw container topped with onions and green peppers. My 4 pc chicken tender was burnt to a crisp and 3 of the 4 pc of chicken were less than an inch in size and the fries filled maybe half of the fry container and they were raw. For this being my first experience with Rutgers, I’ll continue to go to sheetz. The best part is no customer service to rectify the situation and the number I was given to call is a voicemail not a real person to speak with.

2020-03-16VERY NICE and very roomy. I absolutely love the roomy and not so cluttered feeling. Its new, nice, bright, and nice rewards system. The food was a little pricy, but good. This store looks very nice and has a lot of parking! UPDATE: The Breakfast Sandwiches are outstanding!

2020-02-28My husband and I stopped by this morning for the first time just to grab breakfast. We both have a real sweet tooth, but I have to say that the waffles that we bought were way too sweet. The first 2 bites were good. After that it was too much. Sorry, but neither one of us could finish them. I must also say that Sheetz, Bellefonte have much friendlier employees. My husband wants to return just to try other food as Rutters has always had a good reputation for great food..Ill give them a chance. Good luck Rutters. You appear to be doing well so far!

2021-08-07I watched an employee that was just walking out of the restroom stop and pick up a tiny corner of a square of TP that had fallen on the floor. I didnt even see it until he did it. Thats the attention to detail that keeps this place clean.
