This place, as advertised is not a camping ground but an urban RV area. We saw this in advance so were not existing grass or plants. The location is fantastic, easy to get to and not far from the number 17 bus which takes you right into town. We didnt use the shuttle as there was never one available when we wanted to go. Facilities were a bit dated/out of action but what was available did work. The staff were friendly on arrival and the hook ups were great. Dump station is available and an easy back up to get to. Price seems fair, our only negatives were the train noise and the lights which are on all night. If we were to visit Philadelphia in an RV again wed stay here.

This place is the perfect URBAN camping spot! The staff are SUPER friendly and helpful with tips about the area...what to see and where to go.Since this campground is one side of a warehouse parking lot all of the sites are LEVEL. There is adequate spacing in between spots. The connections are at an appropriate height.

Lets be honest, the appeal of this place is its proximity to Philadelphia. You take their shuttle to a public bus stop. From there, it is a short bus ride to the historic areas. From your RV to the Liberty Bell is about 30 minutes. All the sites have water/electric (which worked fine). There is a dump area, but the connection is at least a foot off the ground. Im pretty sure it would have been above my dump valve. The bath house consisted of a trailer next to the office (another trailer). Functional but not very nice or clean. Checked it out once and never went back. There are no other amenities to speak of. The bright spot is the staff. The person manning the gate and the shuttle drivers are all friendly and quite willing to help you.

We were not sure what to expect, but I give this place two thumbs up for convenience, safety, and accessibility to downtown Philadelphia. As others have said, it is not a campground. But the ease of navigating downtown Philadelphia cannot be undermined. We spent a week there and would do so again. The staff is fabulous... from the office workers to the shuttle drivers to the guys in the parking lot. We felt very safe; there are lots of security cameras and someone is on site 24/7.

This place is far from perfect, but it was not represented as such by the man that we contacted at Campus Park and Ride. Power and water is good. Location is physically secure. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. It is quite noisy at night because of nearby road traffic, train traffic, and the Park and Ride shuttle bus that runs frequently 24 hours a day. That said, this is the best possible location for someone travelling in an RV. Especially if like us you travel in a motor home with no toad. The free shuttle bus will take you to a location from which you can take the city bus anywhere in Philadelphia. Mr. Keith Gray, the proprietor, was professional, helpful, friendly, and an altogether wonderful fellow.

This service was outstanding if you are looking for a close, convenient access to the city! Dennis was very personable and helpful. We did not want to have to drive our rv into the congested city traffic of Philadelphia. For less than $40, we had a safe place to park, water, electricity, and most importantly a FREE shuttle into downtown Philadelphia with very detailed instructions on how to catch the city bus that takes you to the historic section and how to get back, with shuttles running every ten minutes. Everything was very convenient. We highly recommend it. Billing is set up on a 24 hour schedule, based upon your arrival, so you dont have to worry about noon check in or 11am check out times

The location is extremely convenient. I dont think that youll find a campground so close to a major city. Youre within a half hour walk if you would like to walk into the nicer parts of the city. The connections at each site are electric and water and there is a nearby dump station and showers and bathrooms. The actual area where the facility is located is extremely industrial. There is really nothing around it, so you will have to take the shuttle in or if you are a good walker you can walk into the city. There is a 24-hour shuttle.UNFORTUNATELY, I learned that this place closed for RVs and is only for daytime car parking. How very sad. No more visits to Philly in my RV.

This place is perfect for a visit to Philadelphia. Our daughter lives in town so we visit frequently. Parking is always an issue in Philadelphia so the $30 per night fee for RV parking is pretty good. Of course this is no campground but thats to be expected in the middle of a metropolis. It is basically a parking lot with water, electric, and sewer hookups. The staff is quite nice and helpful willing to answer all our questions (though did not return our phone calls prior to our visit). It would be 5 stars except for the following:- Bathroom / shower facilities are inadequate. There is a single bathroom & shower for each gender. This is fine if the place is not busy but would be a real problem if many people were camping (like in summer)- Transportation would be better if Taxis knew where this place was so could come directly rather than having to ride the shuttle bus to the hospital and pick up transporation there- Better signage is needed. The place is very difficult to find since it is in an industrial/warehouse area and is poorly marked. We would have never been able to find it if we arrived at night.

If you have business, in our case a wedding, in the heart of Philadelphia this is a great place to park your RV and they are very Tiny House friendly. Philly traffic is rough but its about 18 minutes to the tourist attractions downtown. You will have to move to the dump station there if you plan a long stay. Does not have hookups including waste.

We just stayed here for 5 days. Its all about the location...it was perfect! Its close to the city; we were able to drive in and park without a problem. There was electricity and water hookups, dump station on the premises, and the space we were in was level. The parking lot backs up to Homeland Security, so there is an electric fence (beware dog owners and parents with young children). The bathroom had one shower, which was clean, and restrooms. The people that checked us in and out were awesome! They provided us with everything we needed to know about public transportation, nearby attractions, and helped with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend if you want to be close to the city.
