Terrible service. very rude man at the gate
The woman at the front… so rude it’s comical. It feels as if you’re in a “South Park” or “Seinfeld” episode. She made it so difficult to drop off the trash this day, I just took the trash home. I did have funny conversation about this with my wife at dinner time though.
They will almost always harass you about your trash in an attempt to get cash from you. They will claim you have too much or that what you have in building matetial or your truck can be commercial despite no lettering being on my pickup.
I observed workers yelling at a customer for not wearing a mask. That in and of itself is ok but not one of the workers was wearing a mask. They were rude, including the supervisor. The attitude of the employees including the supervisor is nasty and disrespectful. I will continue to go back because it is more convenient than waiting for the trash pick up
Extremely rude, not helpful, appeared mad at the world long wait even though I was the only customer picking up a recycling bin. Demanded I wear a mask even alone in my car while he yelled from a 50 ft distance. Had to find my own bin in a rubble of trash. Never checked ID. Never assisted in anyway.

Normally if i have big trash, I take to the West Philly sanitation drop. My friend recommended this location for styrofoam recycling. So I took the quick ride from South Philly.Even with lots of people dropping, this location was very organized, friendly, and helpful..
You get the third degree just because you want to drop your trash off because they didnt show or you cant wait for the regular pick up day. A man usually told me that I had too much trash!
We had wood from a old deck that we had to get rid of. The female employee at the entrance of the facility stated to us they dont take wood.
If i could i would give this place 0 stars. when you coming to this place be ready for very mean and disrespectful woman on a front. Very unprofessional

This is the hidden treasure of Philadelphia. Especially if you’re cleaning out a loved one’s home, you can bring your items there and dispose of them with peace of mind. The workers are absolutely phenomenal very helpful.
The main woman on site was extra rude and unprofessional and was not wearing a mask. Really concerning when your working with people coming in and out of the facility.
Great, convenient to NE Philly, Closed on Monday, Open Tuesday to Saturday, Only One Drop Off per Day, quality and discipline maintained by friendly staff. Be Prepared for long lines at certain times of day.
This dump site told my husband to dump on the street he had some particle borad pieces from a small entertainment center and 4 tires which i know he is allowed to drop 2 tires at a time along with cardbord and they told him to dump on the philly street somewhere ....So this means the city approves of illegal dumping....
I go once a week with trash or yard waste and have found every worked courteous and professional.
Actually for being a city department run ace, it was fine. Emoyees were professional and courteous. If only city hall was the same

2022-08-18I went to ur sanitation dept at ashbourne and State road first jyst to get a recycle bin, rught from the start when i pulled up to the hut I was treated rudely, by the man and lady sitting there. I went to give them my pa license and started asking my car information, I asked y I have my Id. Sge said cuz I said , I said I never heard of this and calling city hall, the lady rolled her eyes and she and the other staff members said GO AHEAD!! I left and called and was informed all I needed was my State ID. All this rudeness just for a bin! I went to the sanitation dept on the 30hundred of delaware ave, they were very polite only asked for my Id put the bin in my car. Very nice people. Someone needs to talk to the employees in State rd sanitation and tell them not to treat people like dogs!!

2022-08-15BEYOND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS YOU ENTER!I asked if I just need a recycling bin where do I go? He said well you need your drivers license then you can grab one go over there. I parked up , handed my drivers license for review and he stared at me and said well do you want the license back?This is the rudest front line service I have ever received. Not surprising but rediculous.

2022-02-26Went in the morning to drop off trash. Man helped me out to get it unloaded and dropped off. Went back later in the day to a female employee with a rude attitude who snippily informed me that it was one time per day. I remarked oh I was not aware of that im sorry to which I received ya byeeee see you tommarow and proceeded to immediately storm off to the office. Rude and unprofessional.

2022-04-18I was turned away. They wouldnt take my household trash. Told me that I would have to park outside of facility and walk my trash 50 yards to the trucks. Even though the website says what the arrangements are, the bosses there get to change the rules! Why bother to do the right thing?!!!!

2022-04-24Worse city employees. Its a free place to dump trash, but the people work there had the worse work ethic. They get paid from the city, but still demand people to pay them to dump the trash there. They should be fired.

2021-12-15Had a problem with two female workers today. They refused to give me either their information to report it. Truly the most unprofessional workers I’ve ever dealt with. The one thought it was okay to record me and my wife. All because i needed a new bin. When my wife originally went the one women came to the door and said “what” not a “how can i help you” not even a hello.

2021-11-25Went yesterday organized and easy. One issue we had is the female worker who had to push a button on the trash truck (yes I know absolutely back breaking work). Talk about RUDE she needs an attitude adjustment.
