Good menu and good tasting food with friendly service. Menu is somewhat pricey overall.
Holy. Slowdown. My. Mouth.!! The food had no chance staying on our plate for long!!! Kudos to the COOKS!!!!!, and ALL the staff. My stomach and tastebuds enjoyed some food fireworks. No dinner pics lol to busy eating. We took a breath to admire dessert tho.
Im a long time customer who has frequented this bar/restaurant since its opening. Chuck the proprietor, is a master at hiring the right kitchen and bar staff. He prides himself in having an eclectic menu, which seems to change each day. His business is so much more than just another local bar, and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys a well mixed cocktail, beer, or glass of wine, along with a delicious meal.

Expect regular pub /restaurant food. Service is good. Food is tasty. Portions are just right, for me. I enjoyed the shrimp & scallops dish with a baked potato and slaw. I especially enjoyed the pre-meal margarita.
Worst food. Never try the appetizer platter. The pirogies where a joke. Small and over cooked and tasteless. The wings are served dry with sauce on the side. Again they were dry and over cooked. The Cheeseburger was thick and didn’t fit the roll. This was at lunchtime with no crowd. Highly disappointed.

Food looked disgusting and didn’t taste good. They forgot part of our order. The batter from the fried pickles was super thin and peeled off by itself. The mozzarella sticks were bland. The potato skins were also tasteless. The wings looked great but had no flavor. And I’m not sure what blue cheese or ranch they put with it, but it looks gross and greasy. Very disappointed spending hard earned money on this garbage.
Ordered a Cobb salad on the way home from work. Bacon was burnt, tortilla strips smelled old and were stale, and there werent any eggs. 2 stars because service was fine for pick up.

Ive been coming here with my boyfriend since Goat closed down.😭 While this place isnt exactly the same, its still a great little pub and restaurant with something for everybody. Their mac n cheese is amazing. Im a fan of their Cuban sandwich, but I havent yet tried something that I havent liked. Also, their mule is great. Its strong, so be aware of that when you order their drinks lol.
Very loud inside the whole place but the meal I had was great. I got the meat loaf and my husband had the spare rib mac-n-cheese which was also amazing. My in-laws food came out a bit on the cool side though, mine was perfectly warm and my husbands was burning hot.
Food is hit or miss. Wings were barely edible rubber.Service is friendly but extremely slow. Waited 20 minutes after asking for the check. Finally just left money and walked out. Hope it was enough 🤷♀️. Im not going to be held hostage waiting for a check

Always a good spot! Their housemade chips are fantastic and the crab fries are hard to stop eating. Coming here with a group of friends is always a wise choice. But you can easily make friends with the other happy patrons at the bar. I like how youre actually able to hear people when you talk :)
If I had written this a year ago, I would have said the food and service were great. Having been there twice in the last 2 months I can say the complete opposite is true. Last night we waited an hour for our entrees and mine arrived cold. Asking to have it reheated it was returned microwaved and completely dried out. We won’t be returning anytime soon.

I can’t help but five slowdown a bad review after tonight.I brought my sister and her fiancé out of town, prepping them that service is slow, tonight was down right embarrassing!I love the food at slowdown; so does my husband. There is no reason why our entrees should have taken an hour to come out for when they were ordered.Our waitress never introduced herself, and she made it thoroughly clear she did not care about us at all. She didn’t check on us once, and we had to be sure we got our drink order (which was never offered to be refilled) our appetizer order, as well as our meal order all in one shot.We didn’t even have the four sets of cutlery at our table until we asked a busboy to get it for us.Our food finally comes, my sister’s tuna tacos are cold, my brother in laws meal comes out with chips instead of fries, and I’m offered chicken Parmesan the sandwich instead of the entree like I asked for.“Are you sure you don’t want the sandwich?” Yes, I’m sure about what I ordered.The waitress has the nerve to charge me for the “pasta side” that should have been my chicken Parmesan entree, and my brother in laws chips that should have been fries.If I knew who was management I would LOVE to complain to! This is aside from the NORMAL freakishly slow service!
Me and the wifes date night spot. Never had a bad meal and Ive had dozens here. Burgers are top notch. Nachos are wonderful.But the slowdown isnt just bar food. Tonight Im having a lemon pepper ribeye with mushroom risotto.Dozen beers on tap rotation. Bottle take out. And its primarily old people so you have cool crowds that thin out early (the weekend band plays at like 7)My only complaint is the live bands are way too loud. Its a small place but they bring big speakers.
Only had wine (Malbec) and it was after midnight. I appreciate their after hours hours:) The servers were great and even though I didnt ear, their menu looked great! The establishment was clean, did not smell, and the washrooms were clean and smelled great!
I had to give one star. If there were 0 stars to give, I would. After finding a cockroach crawling across my lunch plate, I complained to the bartender. As the owner sat four seats away from me and did nothing about this situation, I chose to leave. He chose to ignore me like I was there to rob the place. I highly recommend not eating at this establishment. At least he didnt stop me from not paying for my lunch.
The perogies were great, the Reuben was a bit bland.

Delicious! Had the fish special, with greens and cappilini. So good! And a homemade lemon tart! My mom had the eggplant parmigiana. OMG! Small place, excellent service. I will go back again!
The food was great but the service was terrible. Bartender was rude and didnt tend to us or many others timely she was too busy talking to one party and totally ignored us we had to literally flag her down mind u they were not busy.

My boss brought me here for lunch and I loved it. I got the Pulled Pork BBQ special with cole slaw on too. Delicious. A little messy but very good. Definitely have to take my husband here.
Decent food, poorly packed for take-out. Steamed veggies doused with the sauce from the entre. Was surprised that the Cajun mushrooms were marinated in A1. Good tasting food in general, hopefully the takeout packaging improves, paid over 80 bucks so they should take better care not to mix sauces when packaging.
I feel the food is not up to the same standard as it was a few years ago.I did not eat my beat salad because I didnt like it very much. They didnt take it off the tab.However the server was very kind and the lemoncello tini was delicious.
Loved the food here, it was amazing. Food was affordable and they were good sized portion. Its a crowded place for dinner but service was great and it wasnt too noisy. I would definitely visit again!
The food is good and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was a little bit more mature, it is a bar and grill after all, but not at all a bad place to have dinner with your family.
We won’t be going back. My husbands steak was ALL fat. I got the seafood special and it had like two scallops, three shrimp and I had to look for the crabmeat. They should have taken the charge for the steak off the bill and didn’t. Seriously! Bad management!

Hostess never greeted us. The waitress was great and we got our food quick.My husband d had the blackened salmon pain I and thought it was good and would rate it a 4 out of 5. Calamari a 4. I had a ain chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato and I found the chicken was tough, I didnt finish it. My son had chicken tenders with fries and he was happy. Great beer selection. Live music was so so,but a litte loud. I would consider coming back, but eould choose something else on the menu.
The food is so good here! I highly recommend going to slowdown for brunch! I haven’t ordered something I didn’t like. Everything is reasonably priced the bartenders and waitresses are always friendly and nice.
This is my in laws favorite restaurant of all time. They are regulars and we go there with them occasionally. Chuck, the owner, is a great guy and serves very good food. Everything is always fresh and priced right.
This is a nice neighborhood pub. Quite frankly, it was much nicer than I had anticipated. The evening I was there I was lucky enough to catch Joe Gabe performing. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone in the area with a better voice than Joe Gabe!
My husband and I went here tonight and had a great time. The food is great and very reasonable 👍👍👍. We are definitely going to be coming here again. I would give here a 10 🌟 review.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life! will never return and will tell others the same. Ordered the boneless wings and they were absolutely disgusting, one bite in and I could see pink in the center of the chicken. The manager, Jeanne was EXTREMELY RUDE when i asked her to take the undercooked chicken off the check. First she asked me to show it to her to PROVE it was undercooked then LITERALLY said deal with it and continued to argue that it looked fine. The whole time I felt I was inconveniencing her by simply asking something to be removed from the check. I give two stars because my husbands sandwich was good.
The menu here is pretty extensive (there were two different chicken Parmesan sandwiches the day I went there), and it all looks and tastes good. A great lunch joint that had a nice looking dinner menu too.
Nope. Took a really long time to get the boom boom shrimp and nachos. It was not busy at all either. The shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. I dont know what the sauce ended up to be but not what we ordered. We literally counted 12 little chunks of chicken that was supposed to be the chicken nachos. The cheese on the nachos was sort of like velveeta from a can or canister or something from a concession stand. Waited a long time for fish and shrimp tacos. Shrimp was again overcooked and dry not to mention scarce. There were actually 2 shrimp cut in half on one taco. The fish was just yucky. First and last time there. Sorry and we are in now way fussy people.
This place wasnt bad. Went on a Sunday afternoon, there were a bunch of people at the bar, only one other table in the restaurant side was occupied. We were seated right away. The crab, spinach artichoke dip was tasty. Loved the sweet potato fries with caramel sauce. I ordered a shrimp po boy panini. The ciabatta roll it came on was way too much so I ended up pulling it apart to eat. Next time Ill ask for different bread because otherwise it was yummy. My mom got crab cake sliders that were very good, lots of crab. My sister got a chicken parmesan sandwich that she enjoyed. The homemade chips werent great, I wont bother with them again. Will bring my boyfriend back to try the dinner specials next time!
Unassuming place at the corner of a strip mall, but dont let the exterior fool you! Menu is extensive without being overwhelming, and everything we had was prepared perfectly. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient-- well be back!

Very nice place, my wife and I both had flatbreads and salted caramel sweet potato fries. Yummy. Good selection of beers both draft and bottle.
Good food a little pricey. Staff is a little standoffish towards the non- locals, but it is their loss because it reflects in my usually very generous tip of 25 percent of the check.

Huge menu, we got apps, $5 taco night special, drinks and apple pie egg rolls.
Malfunction with their draft beers but they still had $1 off bottles. Chicken wrap with hot sauces was great and the chips and fries were cooked well.
Service was great, the waitress was sweet and very helpful. Food was really good. Overall experience was very positive.

We have been here a couple of times food okay, but then ML ordered a hambuger with an egg on top, egg cooked hard not running and didnt receive the fried onoins, so not to make a fuss she asked for another fried egg over easy, when it came it was broke she asked for the manager, well what can I say no custmer satisfaction here he took it off the bill which he should have she didnt even eat it & she was so hungry but the experience was so upset she left before she blew her top. I paid the reminder of the bill. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Chicken Lisâ should have been called chicken greaseâ. It came with over cooked shrimp and almost warm vegetables. But everything was drenched in a flavorless gelatinous lemon butter (oil) sauce.
I really enjoy Slowdown. They have wonderful food and friendly staff. Music there on Thursdays is a great way to spend an evening. 🙂

Hometown hangout where everyone knows your name. Food is good. Specials change weekly...they are always excellent. Staff is diverse and well trained.
They always have good craft beers on tap and the food was better than last time we were there six months ago.
Decent local restaurant with a soothing atmosphere and food which cannot be labeled as bad nor professional, but I would recommend eating here as a very tasty flat bread would only cost you around $15.

Took over an hour to get our food. People came in after us, were served first, they ate and left before we were served our food. Our orders were wrong and the food was not so good.

2022-06-07Food was okay for the most part. Service was good. Highlights were my aunt said the onion soup was really good and the fries were great. Low points... the peppercorn sauce was not good (luckily we requested it on the side!) Fried pickles had barely a dusting of coating on them and since they used thick cut deli pickles (which had the potential to be amazing) they turned mushy super fast. I had a brisket sandwich and the flavor was not there. It was way over seasoned and the pickled onions tasted off to the point that I only took a few bites because it overpowered the taste of the meat. If you want good brisket go to the next shopping center and hit up the BBQ place there!

2021-10-19Everything was just fried and thrown in a container. The coating on the mozzarella wedges is just plain breadcrumbs. No seasoning or anything. Marinera has no flavor. Boneless wings are processed ground chicken with sauce squirted on them. Pierogies are the only thing palatable. Literally feel as though I wasted my money. The quality has gone down the last couple times I ordered here so I think this was the last time.

2019-05-05Shameful food. Nachos were movie theater chips soaked in cheese whiz... no where on the menu did it mention that they dont have real cheese. Cut up romaine for lettuce. Absolutely worst nachos Ive ever had, especially bar nachos, these were down right pathetic.Crab fries with crab meat? Barely any fries had to dig through cheese wiz which was also soaking the fries, and almost no crab meat totally awful product. Menu was VERY misleading.Barely ate anything and wait staff were unwilling to discount the over priced bill. Bad Service, awful food, never going back.

2021-12-12This is a Cool, laid back pub located in the Heart of Aston Pa in the same shopping center as the Post Office. The food was great, it didnt cost an arm and a leg to eat there either. They have a nice selection of both draft and bottled beer and run specials every day at lunch and dinner.

2019-12-25$5 minis only because theyre in the shop same shopping center as LaSpada’s. Good mini, it was really half of a cheesesteak. Big bar with lots of TVs. The bartender was not polite. Good little cheesesteak.
