Kathy and Steve have gone out of their way to individualize each of our 3 childrens music lessons. The have been flexible with appointments due to our varying schedule. We moved 3 states away and still utilize SNK for music lessons. We are also ecstatic that they are offering certified music therapy for Everett.

I started piano lessons with Kathy Petrullo, the owner Steves wife, Sept 2012. I was happy with our daughters progress and I only had one complaint. The complaint was that my daughters lesson directly followed another childs lesson and the child before my daughter took a very long time to exit the room in which the lessons were given. Therefore, Mrs. Petrullo always took at least 3-5 minutes out of my daughters 30 minute time to help the other child, whom was handicapped, out to wait for his mother to pick him up. I didnt say anything all year long because I understood that she was trying to help the other student. However, looking back I should have thought twice. As the year went on my daughter and I noticed that Mrs. Petrullo took phone calls and would help customers if her husband wasnt there during her lesson. Then in April she was bold enough to actually make a phone call in front of me at the end of my daughters lesson. So, finally on May 14, 2013 I had decided the last straw was when the first 10 minutes-according to the two clocks in her piano room ( Mrs. Petrullo insists that it is only 6 minutes) of my daughters lesson she sat out front of the store with her husband and ate an MTO. When I confronted her she told me that she would give her lesson 6 more minutes. Then my daughter would take piano from 5:06-5:36 and voice lessons from 5:36-6:06. How surprised was I when I stood out front of SNK music and saw my daughter drinking a juice box at 5:53! Then finally I entered at 5:58 and the voice teacher Troy Daugherty had already started the next childs voice lesson! Right in the middle of the store! Thats right. The first voice lesson was given in the piano room the second was given right in the middle of the store! Unfortunately the first lesson started late as well and Mr. Daugherty didnt come prepared with music. So, my daughter stood there for $12.50 and sang happy birthday as Mr. Daugherty tried to remember how to play it on the piano in the key he wanted. Then on a few days before my daughter had a lesson on May 21st Mr. Daugherty called and said he had to reschedule the lesson. At that time I told him that we would not be taking summer lessons and he agreed to a refund ($162.50) that I had already paid him. We had decided that she would just make up the lesson the first week of June. However, I was so UPSET about the previous week I called SNK and told them the I was cancelling the summer lessons with Mrs. Petrullo as well. She called me back the same day and agreed to give me a refund of $162.50 for the summer- which she did. But I STRONGLY feel that the two instructors broke my trust by not giving my daughter the lessons we had been paying for and ethically they should return the $25 each for the lessons that were cancelled by me and by Mr. Daugherty. I tried to call Mr. Daugherty 3 times and ask about the refund that he said he would give us and he will not return my phone calls. I have tried to call the store as well and they will not return my phone calls either. I have since shared this story with other people around Bedford and apparently it is well known in the music community that this is common for these instructors and this establishment. STEALING FROM CHILDREN! Nice. These people have the worst ethics and integrity of any instructors/ teachers I have ever encountered.

Been going here for months. 2 kids receiving music lessons, I cant imagine them going any place else. Everyone is always so friendly. Its like youre all one big family.

Very knowledgeable, friendly owners. They offer a wide variety of musical instruments, supplies, repair, and private lessons for all of them, plus voice lessons.
