It kills me to put two stars. The two people there were busting their butts to get things done. Hustling around and cant be held responsible if no one else shows up to work. The line was around the restaurant. They showed up and they deserve credit. Saying that, some of my food was piping hot and some of my food was cold. The blue raspberry shushie with nerds was on point. To anyone reading this, be patient, be kind, and most of all, be understanding.
I ordered online and pulled into the stall to wait for someone to bring out my order after responding “im here” on the app. After waiting about 10 minutes i pressed the order button on the menu to see if i could ask someone about my order. I waited another 10-15 minutes and still no answer. I tried calling the store a few times and no one answered so i just left. Super disappointed cause that was the first time i was ever at a sonic and i had to call customer service and get a refund.
This restaurant is likely the most constantly horrible fast food restaurant I ever patronized. Its so consistently bad that no one crew member could be responsible. Hopefully whoever the owner or upper manager whos responsible will be replaced. I really love Sonic. I wish this one even slightly lived up to the rest of the franchise.Edit: And of course I get a tone deat auto-response from the owner....
Insanely slow. We ordered one slushie and one shake on mobile app. Waiting 30 minutes, still nothing.*Edit: we got tired of waiting and went to the drive thru to let them know our situation, and they said the stalls werent working and our order was ready...There was no signage to let anyone know the stalls werent working, so just use the drive thru in the future.
This place is terrible. Everything we ordered was gross or the wrong thing. They forgot napkins, forks and cheese for the pretzels. The shakes were wrong and most of the things were clearly reheated. Also the wait is long and only the drive thru is open. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Slowest service ever. How do you make someone wait over 10 min without saying a word but dont feel sorry for me there were 2 other cars that were waiting even longer. Ive been to 6 different sonics in e different states and of course itll be the one closest to home that is the worst.
Literal sloths working, took forever to complete any task. Food was mid. To clarify we spent 30 minutes in the drive thru, the workers are dysfunctional charged me for a milk shake and then told me the machine Was broken and had to wait 15 mins after we got our food not to mention it was cold when we got it, not a little bit, like out of the fridge cold. Place shouldn’t be open
I just dont understand why a fast food restaurant doesnt have a place where people that walk and work at other Businesses in the area.. Cater to people that go to lunch and make them waste 30 minutes try to order and no one inside is willing to help or answer you back.. just somewhere I will never try again. I try 5 guys instead
Drive your car in and put it in park. look through the awesome menu and place your order. Now you wait and someone will bring your food to the car. The selection is great, the milkshakes are awesome and even the slushies are good. Its a really cool place. Also, after 8 pm, the milkshakes are 50% off.
Lets see. We waited at the drive thru speaker for 5 minutes before heading to the window after no one took out order. We had to knock on the window...wasnt even sure they were open. The woman was rude. Said their headsest wasnt working and shed take out order in a few minutes. Their was noone else there eating...another guy came to the window and was obviously new. Felt bad for the guy. The rude girl was trying to help him, but she wasnt much help. A 3rd girl came to the window and apologized. Took the rest of our order. About 20 minutes had gone by already. Got our food like 5 minutes later. Sat at the tables and dug in... It honestly looks like they havent changed the fryer grease in about 3 months. The chicken wasnt dry, but it was super dark. The Coney dog was a mess. The cheese wasnt even melted. The tater tots were horrendous. We ended up throwing them away. They do have a new manager. The guys only been there 2 weeks. I hope he can fix it. Until then, beware.
Immediately No!! The place is filthy, inside and out! The person upgraded my order to a large without asking me. My drink lid was covered with black spots. It was dinner time and I got a breakfast sandwich I waited awhile for it to be cold and definitely not fresh. My large tots I was upgraded to was literally a small. When I told the person at the window she said they probably fell in the bag which they did not. They were also cold and stale she told me the person would drop more which obviously meant they werent filled because they ran out. When getting the tots back she handed me the bacon that she forgot to add the first time. The bread on the sandwich was also so stale my dog didnt even want it. The person in the back was leaning on the food counter on her phone and the person in the front was mopping while handling my food in between. I also saw her roll her eyes when I asked about my tots. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. I dont see how this place has 3.5 stars. The health inspector should also be called expeditiously.
Worst sonic I’ve been to and it’s really hard to mess up sonic. We arrived at the drive thru and the lady told us they were only taking cash, which is fine but they should of had a sign outside instead of making people wait in line to only find that out at the speaker, we asked if we could pay by card at the parked sections and she rudely said “it’s cash only everywhere here, but it’s different if you order on the app”We then park to order on the app and park on sections to pick up your food and the lady on the speaker then tells us, you can only pick up through the drive through, which she should of stated when we were in the drive thru at this time it was already 20 min into our visit. We then go back to the drive thru to pick up our food and still ended up waiting 20 min for our food to be made and the person In front of us was waiting on his food as well.We finally get our food and noticed they forgot my cinnamon stacks and they would of forgotten my friends lemonade if we hadn’t of checkedAt this point we were super hungry and annoyed and went home with what we got and when we open our food I found a hair on my burger and the food was cold and bland. My friends cheeseburger also did not have CHEESE.Not worth the wait and trouble go else whereCustomer service is not a priority here.
Never got my online order. Ordered online at 10:04. Got there and checked in about 10:12. Youre supposed to be able to order until 10:30 and they close at 11. I went to drive thru, but no one answered at the order box. So I checked in at a stall, and it showed it both online and on the menu board. After several minutes the menu board no longer had my name, and went back to the menu home, but the website still showed the stall I was in and said my order was being made..... well at 10:38 I finally pressed the order button, no one answered. So I drove back around to the drive thru, even though there is no signage to indicate there isnt carside serivce, and there had been other cars there when I got there, and its a Sonic... and the menu boards were on.... so why would I assume I couldnt go to a stall?? So I go back to the drive thru, all the lights were off for ordering, but the lights in the store were still on. I honked and waited at the window to see if spmeone would figure it out, but I had to call customer service and request a refund, which conveniently takes 7-10 days to process. Will never go back.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Me and my friend came on 3/7/2022 and will not be coming back. Got to sonic and the weather was nice so we decided to sit outside where the tables were. There wasnt many cars and the place wasnt busy. Once we decided what we wanted we pushed the button to place order on the menu board. It went through and said well be with you in one moment. We sat there waiting and waiting and nothing we pushed again after about 5 mins and still NOTHING. After about 10 mins we were still waiting with nothing. Multiple employees were seen on there phone. 2 came outside and clearly saw us one sat down near us and started smoking. The other was talking to what looked like a friend and then went back inside and said nothing. After about 15 mins of waiting we had enough and left and went to the Wafflehouse right near it. Completely unprofessional, the employees are lazy, and just dont seem to care! We WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. I will be telling everyone who asks about sonic now not to go to this location. The franchise owner of this location needs to take responsibility and fire the employees who worked here on 3/7/2022 during the day and get employees who actually care about there job and take pride in being employed. Absolutely pathetic and very disappointing!
How do you have no coffee? Complete failure, put coffee on and by the time we get to the front of your extra slow 3 person drive through line at least one cup would have been done. We didnt order food, not going to trust them with actual food if they cant figure out coffee.
I went to Sonic on Airport Road yesterday to get lunch for my coworkers and I. The lady working was extremely rude to me. Gave me dirty looks, didn’t say a single word to me when I pulled up to the window to pick up my food and just shoved all my food and drinks out the window. She closed the windows and walked away, again without saying a single word to me. I pulled into a spot to check my order, luckily everything was right but I found hair in one of my sides. I ended up just throwing it out because I knew there was no use in trying to go back to get it replaced.
The lady on the speaker couldnt even give us 5 seconds to order. She was very short and it wasnt busy. There was 1 car infront of us. The food which we ate in the parking lot was cold. Pretty dissatisfied with it. I know these workers are short handed these days but geez.
First time ever there so didnt know what to expect. Its a slight step up from any fast food chain (BK, McDonalds, Wendys, etc...) but not by much. The outside dining service was closed only the drive though was open. So unfortunately we didnt get to experience where they serve you on roller skates.We both got their steak sandwich meals.... his with french fries mine with tater tots. The steak sandwiches were ok at best. They were steak meat in what appeared to be a long hot dog bun. Not at all like the picture on their menu. Now I know what to expect if Id ever return. Just not in an all fire hurry to do so.
Pressed the button to order. Waited a long time, and the woman directly next to me got to order like a minute after I pressed the button. When they finally answered I’m told it’s “drive thru only” no apologies for the long wait. Even though the woman next to me got to order and I didn’t, I went to the drive thru, where I’m told I have to keep waiting lol
Tried getting food but after told only drive thru was open and waiting at the speaker for the drive thru decided that it was a bad choice...also the table outside fell over as I sat down .. .this place should be shut down ...owners should be fined for unsafe seating cause the next person might get injured...hopefully not but likely
Sonic has always been a good place, my burger was made very well, unfortunately there was not any ice cream but the cherry limeade made up for it. There fries And tater tots stay hot. I highly recommend all people who drove hours and didn’t get what they wanted to pick a closer fast food. There should be no reason you drive hours for a Little food. And from my working in fast food experience, fast food restaurants run out of stuff A lot especially if there popular and taste very good
Just went here, it was dark out but they couldnt be bothered to turn the lights on. The drive thru was packed and despite there appearing to be a full staff inside it took 20 minutes to get get two large blasts, both were made wrong. My wife ordered a cookie dough blast and got a cup of vanilla ice cream with a tablespoon of cookie dough crumbles on top. I ordered M&M and got a cup of vanilla ice cream with Butterfinger crumbles on top. No mixing. No effort. They were sure to give us 2 broken spoons and no napkins. I wont be back.
Still the slowest service. I understand the labor shortage. But this place has been slow way before that. Then after waiting in line for over 30 minutes, food is cold. No drink holders. So now your stuck trying to drive while carrying 4 drinks. And then you realize they didnt give straws or sauces for the cold over done tenders.If they can not staff they should just close. Cause this is ridiculous. Fast food should not take 30 minutes in line. Oh and that 30 minutes did not include the 7 minute wait for someone to rudely take the order.
This sonic sucked. My mom ordered a Philly cheese steak and it was so sad. It was more bread them meat. And then we were handed our drinks we asked the window lady which is which and she said she dont know we just gonna have to try it .. like with really.. she seriously looked like she was high and then they forgot my daughters apple juice. Idk but never again am I going to that Sonic. Worst service ever.
Im a single dad I have 4 children one with special needs Traveling from New Jersey to Tennessee while in the drive thru my youngest son had an episode i wasnt prepared for. Ely the manager really saved the day, she took the Time to assist me in getting things under control. I really needed someones help in that moment and she was there I just want to thank her again so very much. And Ill thank her again when we stop for grilled cheese burgers on the way back it really was delicious !
Knowing how much these workers get paid and the quality of service given just sucks. Of course they charged me for everything I ordered and did not give me everything I ordered and I did not realize it until I got home and it wasnt worth running back out! Tried calling them during their open hours and NO ONE ANSWERS so I can at least get a credit for food next time.
Went for a drink and snack. Slushy machine was down. Cherry limeade was terrible, tasted like soda without syrup. Corn dogs were burned and old. Ice cream blast had multiple candy pieces, was to only be m&m. Workers were rude and things looked dirty. First and last time to try Sonic. Sonic in Oklahoma are very good, so far none in Pennsylvania have been good.
Decided to stop for my first experience and it will be the last!!! First I wanted to eat outside. The outside menu said to push the button to order. We did but nothing. No one said a word. We stopped a waitress only to find out it wasn’t working but NO SIGN ON IT!! Then no one came out to wait on us!! I understand hiring is slow but as a business you need to adjust! It was a VERY BAD experience. We overheard one guy said he ordered 30 minutes ago and had to get out of his car to get a waitress to get his food!!! 😡
We arrived around 9:30, online it says they are open until 11. We pressed the button to order and waited for nearly twenty minutes and had no response. Pressed the button multiple times and still nothing happened. We heard a car next to us place an order so we kept waiting. Eventually we went to the drive thru only to be told they were closing. I told the worker we had been waiting for over twenty minutes and she shrugged her shoulders, said sorry, then went back inside no explanation or anything for closing over an hour early. Based on other reviews from tonight and seeing employees get yelled at outside I would assume something happened internally. They should at least have the decency to turn off the lights or even just tell customers who come to order that they’re closed or something so people aren’t sitting and waiting for nothing
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! If I could give it zero stars I would, but I had to select at least one to write this review. My mom and I went to this location for the first time last week, and it definitely was our last time. The order process went ok. However, when we pulled up to the window, I knew very quickly that I did not want to eat a single thing prepared by this place. The windows and the glass door right next to the pick up window have been disgustingly dirty. There are grease and dirt splatters all over them. Sadly, that wasnt all. The work surfaces that could be seen through the window were just as dirty, grimey and disgusting. All kinds of items that were non food related, including personal items, were sitting on those surfaces. Right next to one of the drink machines, I believe some kind of ice cream blending mashine that was used by a girl to blend something, was a gallon size jug of some type of green chemical solution with the top open. Hygiene and cleanliness is not something that can be found at this location, and doesnt seem to be important to them. When the person came to the window and opened it, my nostrils were met with the smell of old and dirty grease. We immediately canceled our order. The crazy thing is, the employee didnt even seem surprised. (Maybe because it happens frequently?) This place is a health hazard and really needs to be shut down until things can be brought up to code.
Completely awful, unprofessional experience. Came at 8:45 on a Tuesday. 3 cars or less in the lot. We wanted to order ice cream, however we were rudly informed all ice cream and slushie options were unavailable because their machines were broken. Bro, what did i say? All the machines are downWe decided to just order a pretzel twist and a lemonade. We paid and then waited 45 minutes and needed to call before our order was brought to our car.Avoid!
No longer going to come here. I have given many chances and its just always terrible. First of all they have NO SIGNS anywhere that they aren’t doing orders for in cars. So people come and sit there for a while waiting to order to have to figure it out themselves. The last 3 times I’ve gone they say they dont have onion rings. If ya decided to no longer sell it put up a sign or say so, so i dont keep asking when i go. They always sound tired or high when taking orders, and we wait too long to get the food. They dont follow directions either i have to repeat myself often. They also charged me double for an item they said i was never charged for so i asked then to add it and my bank shows double. They dont believe in giving receipts either. I never had poor experiences at the Sonic location in Reading PA. This one is a constant disappointment
I dont think I have ever had a good experience at this location once. Food is always wrong or they just completely forget items altogether. When we call them or come back for the missing or incorrect items, they always act like its our fault for getting the wrong food or like its such a hassle for them to actually be doing their jobs correctly.Very rarely do I consider the phrase I would rate 0 stars if possible but sometimes there are cases that really do warrant it. The consistently terrible attitudes, poor job, and general disregard for customers at this location really casts the Sonic company as a whole in very poor light. Its honestly turned our whole family off of visiting any Sonic. Wed originally said Well, well just go for drinks, no food but having gone and being told they didnt have ice once and then another time them getting our drink orders wrong 3 times in a row has just spoiled it.Look, food service sucks to work in, I get it. And I get that its hard to even get bodies in to work is a struggle now, but at some point somethings gotta give.
My disabled brother is a huge fan of Sonic and always looks forward to a blast or a burger from here. Lately this location seems to have gone downhill.. either the ice machine isn’t working or they cannot provide blasts or shakes because the machine isn’t working. Today they can only take credit cards or exact change and they have no ice tea… sometimes this location does not open until later in the day due to lack of staff . I hope this location can turn itself around soon.
They are constantly saying we are closed for the rest of the night when they close later than normal I went there and kids we’re screwing around at 1015 and site said they close at 11 I didn’t even get my order that I ordered online. They need to get it together or they are going to lose business. I was just there it’s 825pm and they don’t close until later waited in a long line to get up to the order station for them to say sorry were closed for the night.
HORRIBLE! We were gonna eat in our cars so we went to the menu where u wait for someone to take ure order. Sat there 10min and someone said something after we pushed the button to order but not 1 of us knew what she said. We waited a little longer, she said something again and again we had no idea what she said. We asked her what she said but she didnt respond. We left. Went to Panera. It was really good!
Ordered 2 large sonic peanut butter blasts, collected our money and asked us to pull up because it would take a few mins. Took more than a few mins, when they finally came out they made shakes instead. I asked them too correct the order, when they finally came back out, they made the blast but it was butterfinger, not peanut butter. Wont be going back!
Terrible service here. Still only drive thru opened. Took over 30 minutes to go a few car lengths to order to find a tiny, hand written sign stating they had NO ice cream or slushies today!! My husband commented how we just wasted so much time waiting in line, might have been nice to have a sign earlier in the line. Employee didnt care. We left without ordering anything, went down the street for ice cream instead. We have had terribly slow service here in the past. We wont ever be returning to this location.
Way too long of a wait just for them to get my order wrong, consistently been out of ice cream and slushies, and the order area is overgrown with weeds.An addendum from a recent trip.Many of the complaints havent been addressed. The wait this time was well over half an hour this time and even the workers were getting snippy with eachother. I will not be eating at this sonic ever again unless theres dramatic improvement.
The fries were cold and the drinks were warm. Ice machine was down. They always seem to have equipment failures. One hamburger had tomato and lettuce and the other had nothing. No onion rings. We ordered blasts and they got that wrong. Only good thing was that the blasts were up to the top and had a cherry and whipped cream. The blasts weve gotten the last 4 times were 3/4 full with no cherry or whipped cream.
Worst. Sonic. Ever. Im a fan of the chain, but I will never return to this location. I drove 25 minutes out of my way just to go here. Never again.Twice they refused to give service to my son and me, claiming their computers were down. The first time I left, went to get gas, and came back only to get turned away again. The people in front and behind me didnt have any issues ordering and getting food, but we could not even order. Mysteriously. No explanation... the computers only seemed to go down when it was my turn to order food. This was after sitting in the drive through for 15-20 minutes while three other cars in front of us were able to order food. I heard the worker tell the person in the car in front of me that they were out of medium cups as well. This place is an absolute disgrace and not remotely up to the standards Ive seen at other Sonics. What a shame.
Sonic, and this place in particular, used to be a go-to favorite place for my whole family. Now, no one wants to go here and, out of desperation, we stopped there for a quick bite and paid $12 for the smallest hot dog and cheese steak Ive ever seen in my life ( and the worlds tiniest ... and stale...roll wasnt even fully filled with steak) and a soda cup completely filled with ice. Even when desperate, you must avoid this place!!
Horrible service... I walked up and was told only drive thru works. No one was in the drive thru. So I literally went to the drive thru as a walk up... ordered. Then I had to walk to the window. Asked for the manager (Shawn) like im here and a car can come up at any moment. He tells me Im the manager just pay for your order or leave.... So I left.
Absolutely effing horrible. We waited in one of the bays 10 mins after pressing button to order for someone to tell us (barely because you couldnt make out what they are saying) that its drive thru only...waited in drive thru line to find out they had no popcorn chx which I was going to order 3 of...then after I decided on a chx sandwich they didnt have that then settled for tenders...didnt have that...wanted cherry limeade didnt have that. Left. Wasted 40 mins of my night to go somewhere else. When things are that bad just close.
I dont know what was happening tonight when we went but we waited in the drive thru line for half an hour and nobody was being helped, I mean nobody at all. Id like to go back to this Sonic and I understand people are understaffed but to not say Ill be with you as soon as possible is just ridiculous. This is unacceptable!
Pushed button, no reply for several minutes so went to drive through. Cinnasnacks were WAY over cooked and they didnt give us the cream cheese. Tried this same Sonic the day before and the system is down we cant take any orders. We like Sonic but will never go to this one again.
Horrible all around ..not once but 2 times. Food was cold and stale. Fries not going there ! No sluchies both times we were there. Items not available for order .. Cars waiting all over the parking lot for their food ... Employees had no masks or gloves on. No uniforms on any of them not even a name tag. No hair nets no nothing!! Dont eat here
Had to go through drive thru, it took almost 1/2 hr, as someone ahead of me had an issue. When I got to the window I noticed how dirty the window was and when it opened I had a view of the milkshake machine and to be honest I was nauseated by how discusting it looked and there was a male employee yelling at the top of his lungs. Needless to say I did not drink my milkshake, I ate the hotdog with chili which was not bad. This place is discustingly dirty!!!!! Never again
I think the employees make there own hours for when they want to serve lunch Went there a couple of days ago and told me lunch starts at 11:30am. Then went back today at 11:45am and now lunch doesnt start tell 12:00pm. Who the hell starts lunch at 12:00. Its a great way to loose business.
Sonic… what is going on at this location? After reading reviews and 2 really bad experiences over the last couple of months I will not coming back here. It’s a shame because Sonic is a good chain but this location is horrible. Ridiculous waits at the drive through. Cold and poorly prepared food. Ice cream machines not working. Unacceptable.
Worst service I have ever had. I went with a group of friends at 9:30pm, waited 10 minutes to order, told they don’t serve ice cream after 9. Then we ordered, paid. Waited another 20 minutes and were told they were closed. We tried to talk to them again and they completely ignored us, we then drove through the drive thru to also be ignored. We never got our food or a refund.
Arrived 30 minutes before close, ordered our food, paid, got the message on the screen saying thank you for paying, then waited for about 30 for our food, nobody said anything. So we pressed the order button again to see what was going on only to have someone tell us they closed… no refund was given and no one gave us a full answer. Terrible service.
I wouldnt even give them a star but had to give a star to leave a review. I wait over 30 minutes and no answer. There was mo one here but ppl in drive thru. So i went thru drive thru and it still took another 30 minutes. The food was cold and old and they over charged me
I had used the app, which I downloaded to place my order, to order 4 slushies. I pulled into Stall 1 and indicated as such on the app. Waited 10 minutes while I saw 2 employees sitting outside right in front of me smoking cigarettes. According to the screen my order was ready and never came. I went to find out what the hold up was since noone responded to the red button on the screen either. At that point, one of the smokers, the manager, told me he would get my order. However, he said the slushie machine was not working. I do not normally shop in this area. My last time in the area, a month ago, I also stopped for slushies and was told the machine was down as well. The manager told me he would give me a fountain drink instead or I would have to call the 1-800 # for a refund . When I questioned why the machine has been broken for a month he didnt seem surprised. I called the number and hope I get the refund as promised. I would also ask that someone look into the staff and cleanliness of this location. I will not be returning.
Stopped by for a Blast and pulled up to a spot. Tried to order and someone over the mike said something my wife or i couldnt understand. Attempted to order and no response for several minutes. Pulled into the drive thru and was told no ice cream. For a restaurant that advertises ice cream all the time, have ice cream. By the way lot was empty so they were not busy
The people are rude and need a lesson in working in customer service. I am aware how this might sound, but they left me waiting for five minutes at the drive up, just to tell that was closed and needed to go to the drive-thru. Once there, one of the employees argued with both cars in front of me until both left. Second time at this sonic and both times were horrible experiences. Never coming back.
I live 25 minutes away so I placed order online. We get clicked the Im here bottom and gave them the stall number. Screen said welcome with my name, please wait while we get your order ready. About a minute or two later the screen says your order is ready so and so will be right out with your order so we waited. Waited for about 20 minutes and then decided to hit the button on the stall person answered with we are only taking orders through the drive-thru. At this point Im getting frustrated not only I had waited for 20 minutes I had to wait at the drive-thru. Finally reached the speakerphone tell them again that I placed order online they asked me for my name and to pull forward. After a few more minutes I reached the window she gives me a price and again I tell her that I placed order online again asked me for my name and she said ok I will check. Waited a few more minutes and finally I got the order. This whole experience was so frustrating and inconvenient What was the sense in placing the order online if I still had to go through the drive thru in wait.
Was in line for almost an hour. Finally get the food and return home to find out i was missing items i paid for!!! Tried to call but the number is out of service. Go figure. Food was good atleast. And lastly the guy at the window with the broken teeth and glasses is kinda rude.
I wanted a shake however it was broken again. They were out of chicken and something else I cant remember what. I decided to give this sonic another try after the last time I went to it and they were out of a lot of stuff but this time was no different. The fries were cold and so was the sandwich. I will not be returning to the sonic ever.
Ive been here probably 3 times since it opened so I guess shame on me for going a 4th. We decided to order on the way home from a friends house. Ordered from the app. Cool. So far so good. Arrived and pulled into a stall as directed. No differing directions on the screen nor did anyone come on the monitor to speak to us. Waited over 30 minutes. Pressed the button. Some kid spoke 5 million words per second. All we heard was no more stalls only drive through. By that time the line for the drive through was another 30 plus minute wait. I just lost 20 some dollars cause I wasnt about to make our hungry 2 year old wait any longer to eat dinner. Yes we left and no we will never return.
Came here to try their new cheese cake blast. I was extreamly dissatisfied with the service as well as the fact that I paid over $7 for it to not even be made with everything that was promised. I did not have any of the cheese cake peices that were in the image and description. There was also no peices in the actual blast mixed in as promised. I can officially say I will not be returning here and I can now see why this place has such bad reviews.
Was looking forward to going to Sonic with my husband since we haven’t been there in a long time, Not sure if it was the time that we went, It wasn’t what I was anticipating. The burger was cold and the onion rings had a sweet taste to them. We didn’t finish them. Maybe we’ll go at a different time next time and it’ll change our tune depending.
I Always liked sonic from the first time i had their food down in the southern Delaware location. I travel a lot and i was in the Allentown Area and stopped at this location and well it was just like all the other sonic drive ins i have been to. great food, great prices and excellent service. Nothing negative to say about this location. I will definitely be stopping at this one again next time i am in the Allentown Area
Everything went wrong waited a hour yes a hour online to have orders be inaccurate even after going over with the sales associate. Who was rude verbally using inappropriate language. All while her manager just stood there. There was very little meet on cheese steak- had to take that back 2 times my bill was almost 45 for 3 people not happy at all
Love the cheesesteak combo. I never had food from sonic before, I usually visit just for the shakes, ice cream and blast. I was force to buy since everything is closed at 8pm ( for what my kids like eat). I will definitely buy here more often. DID NOT LIKE THE OLD FRENCH FRIES. Who ever was working that night DO YOUR JOB!!
Waited in line for almost an hour, just for the little dude at the window to give me an bs excuse about not taking 100 dollar bills. then when I asked for a manger he told me they didnt have one working and that the money in the safe that they could of used to break my 100 only had a little bit of money in it and that they would not be able to give me the correct change back. Thats why I only rated 1* because I was being lied to.
This place is going downhill. How does a place that advertises itself as the place to get drinks; run out of ice? Didnt have the ability to make a milkshake either. Ordered a footlong coney dog. They gave me to hotdogs placed end to end. Granted it was easier to eat. But not what they advertise. Oh, and they did not have bacon. Most of their burgers have bacon. Have to wonder how some places stay in business.
I’ve been coming here for one or two months now just to see if they have onion rings (cause I like them from here so much) but y’all never have them and I’m sick of the excuse, “we don’t have anybody to make them.”. Like, ok? I can’t imagine the other people who work there don’t know how to make them. I feel like you definitely have time to cook them because I rarely see customers when I’m there. I would also like to mention today me and my mom went there once again but this time we actually got something which was a drink. The girl working there gave us a broken cup and it spilled all over my mom. Also, I was aware that the worker knew there was something wrong with the cup because she looked at it weird and held it odd when giving it to us. She didn’t even say sorry or anything either, just gave my mom three napkins like it was gonna do anything. (this was on a Sunday at 12:00, maybe you’ll know which worker it was then idk). Other from those things, other issues I’ve noticed at that place is the ice cream machine, and the grass make the place look abandoned tbh.Hope you guys figure things out tho and bring the onion rings back teehee
If I could give zero stats I would. Food is the worst sonic food I have ever had, service is atrocious. I spent $65 there and was left totally appalled. They didnt give us all of our food at first, we had to go around a few times to get everything. Then they forgot something and we had to go back again. The cheese wasnt melted on anything. The kids that work there clearly hate their jobs because they do it very poorly. Thank God I will never be going there again.
I waited a long time to receive our drive in order after placing it. We received a wrong item and I went back to the outdoor kiosk to correct it. I was told they were out of the item. Okay, but dont take the order for it, substitute a cheaper item and charge me for the higher priced item without telling me. We also ordered two limeades which were ending up being seltzer (soda water) with a thin slice of lime. They did not look like what the menu showed. The parking lot was filled with trash. This place is an embarrassment to the Sonic chain and should be shut down.
This place never has anything smh. Come on, I waited over a month to go back here and it was the same S**t. It was so bad they gave me BBQ sauce in a hot dog holder and covered it with plastic. I wont be surprised if this place closes down soon, its horrible with everything
I wish there was a way to give zero stars. I have no idea how this place is even still open. They didnt have the park and order option that theyre famous for and they didnt even put up a sign! You dont find out until you try to order. Than inn the drive thru you find out they have no ice cream or slushies .... Like what?? A freaking joke.
We drove two hours to get here. We called and the worker in the phone said the drive through was open, and once we got to the drive through theyre closed? We tell them we just called no more than 30 seconds ago and we get no answer through the intercom. Why say your open when you aren’t? I can now see why almost every sonic is closing. Worst service ever.
The food is not bad but the service Ive been getting the last 4 times I went are awful. Today they charged me for something wrong, told her to charge the difference and gave her the wrong items, and she charged everything separately and again (aside from what we paid) and kept the other stuff. So, I over paid. Sorry Sonic, Im not buying again. And its not the first time they messed my other and nasty attitude from employees.
Was happily surprised to find them open after driving and working into the morning. Only drive through was open but our vehicle was too large for it , recognizing that the girl came out with a pad and took our order. 5 minutes later we have our food. Super friendly service. God was as good as sonic food should be. I mean it’s still a fast food joint, but they served their purpose well . The cranberry slushy was pretty dang awesome and they have all kind of ice cream in a cup based desserts which always hits the spot.
The food is always delicious. I feel like before the pandemic they were more on the ball with things though. Past couple of times we have went there and pushed the red button they dont answer. It looks like its open. Maybe just the drive-thru is open? But the screens are on so its kind of misleading. This didnt start happening until the pandemic so Im not sure whats going on if they only are doing drive-thru and maybe not coming out to the cars. But its very misleading because people are parked there they look like theyre eating and also the screens are on and it said red button activated but they just never answered. And it didnt used to be like this.
How is this sonic still in business? Their employees are rude. Something is always missing or out. It’s no wonder this place is dead on a Friday night. They had no fountain drinks, no onion rings, and gave me old mozzarella sticks. They also forgot to give me cheese for my pretzel twist.
The sign boards where you park were lit and active. They said to push the red button for service. There were no signs saying they were closed. When I pushed the red button the screen said they would be right with me. Yet they let me sit there and wait for 15 minutes before they said that only the drive thru was open. The only thing I got was angry.
I got the raspberry blast slushy version and found out the slushy machine was broke, wanted the onion rings but they didnt have any. I had to get the drink version of the raspberry blast. Straw was to small for the pearls to go through. Well I finished drinking it I found out there was dirt at the bottom of the cup. The only good thing was the reeses blast my dad got.
Worst service. Service was slow. There were 10 cars in drive thru do we pulled into a bay to order. Sat in a bay over 10 minutes & no one answered our bell. Went into the drive thru with 5 cars in front of us & we still sat there 30 mins to get our order. HIRE MORE PEOPLE PLEASE.
Terrible. Sat at the car bay for 35 minutes waiting for my online order (that the screen said was in the kitchen). Finally had to knock on the employee door to be told drive thru only. No sign anywhere else to say this. When I tried explaining they needed to let people know the bays are closed the employee rudely ignored me and shut the drive thru window in my face. I took my food and left. Will never return. This was a large 8 person order too.
Drinks are always good. Service while nice is usually slow. I often wonder if I can simultaneous order a drink at copperhead down the street and get it before I make it through the drive thru. Sometime orders are incorrect. I ordered tots with my meal and got fries. I also asked for sauce/ketchup for chicken and got nothing. A 5 piece chicken strip dinner was more like a 3 piece with two sad pieces that were a third the size of the other three. They could have thrown in a few extra sad sized nuggets to even if out. Now some other patron is going to get chicken strips the size of popcorn chicken. Previous orders had similar mishaps. I think I only come here once every 3 years, because I forget how bad it was lol. Im only here for the ocean water.
Tried too order a popcorn chicken and asked them to make it fresh. The carhop said, It wont be fresh. Its really not that hard to make something fresh for someone if they ask. ITS YOUR JOB! The drive thru carhop Jonelle was extremely rude at the window. This is my 3rd time coming to this sonic & something ridiculous has happened every time.
Waited in line for fifteen minutes just to get told they are closed due to short staff. Cars in front do me were getting their orders. Why are they putting these workers through this? If you’re short staffed, close. Don’t even open. Wait until your property staffed like a good business should do.
My 79 cents ice cream slush was actually great tasting (after 50 minutes of waiting...) I pulled into the drive in to order a corn dog and the ice cream slush special, which I waited over 30 minutes for (which still didnt come by then), so I left and decided to go through the drive thru. It took the guy 10+ minutes to finally be ready to take my order, which then he apparently couldnt get right? He told me to pull up, which I did. The lady there then wanted to charge me over $7 for my $1.49 corn dog and 79 cents ice cream slush... I was like um, how?!? She said oops, someone was messing around back there with my order. So I pay the correct amount then. She proceeded to ask me what flavor I wanted again, um, did the guy that took my order get anything right? Spent over 50 minutes trying to order $3 worth of food. The place wasnt packed or anything, maybe 4 cars there when I arrived. Please tell me the service isnt this bad for everyone?
Ordered lunch from there today off the app, so I could pick it up at a stall. Checked in, it said the food was being prepped, so I waited. It finally said thank you at the end, but no one came, and the screen went back to the homepage. So I waited a couple of minutes and then pressed the call button to ask about my food. Eventually I got tired of waiting and I had to call the store to finally have someone come out. Obviously my food was cold, but at that point I had wasted almost my entire lunch break.
Ordered a bunch of food. Items were missing and another thing was prepared wrong. They made it right but it was an inconvenience. Also noticed that the premium burrito was considerably smaller. Guess its par for the course today. Less for more. Hopefully this isnt the norm.
There was no line at all in the drive through, I had to say Hello twice in the speaker to get someones attention and when I got to the window, no one was there yet. All I ordered was two grape slushies with Nerds. One was sweet, the other was not as sweet. They are usually better.
Im from Oklahoma, where Sonic was born, and being able to have that little nostalgia up here is wonderful. The workers are always super nice, and the food is great - my only complaint is the speed. Even in the drive thru line, there have been times (yes, plural) that I have waited in excess of 30 minutes for my order. Its not really the definition of fast food. But when youre craving a little bit of your childhood - its worth the wait.
Two workers sitting outside smoking in the seating area, I walk up and push the button to order. I wait almost 5 minutes and one of the workers says, outside area is closed, drive though only. I asked how long this has been going on and let him know I received walk up service the day prior. He shrugged his shoulders and asked if I had the sonic app. I said no, he said you could order off the app. I asked what the difference was with ordering via sonic app or ordering from the walk up area, the food is still walked out to me. He shrugged his shoulders again and went about smoking and talking to the other worker there.
If you appreciate employees threatening to call cops and taking pics of your license plate while in drive thru then this is the spot for you. Just imagine what they might be doing to your food?Placed order, pulled up to window, when we asked about the few items were missing we were told to go back around and wait in line. When I refused to wait, the employee came outside took pics of license plate and threatened to call cops.

2022-05-23Worst experience ever. As a fast food place, the convenience is to be able to obtain your food in a moderate time. This was not the case. Few reasons why the airport rd. sonic failed today.1. “Ice cream machines are down.” That phrase is used too often here. In the past 5 years I’ve gone to this location about 10 times. 3/10 they had the ice cream machine running. Today wasn’t the day. Fail.2. After ordering our food (no. 4 and a Chicken Slinger) we were told 10 mins later at pick up they were out of chicken. Ten mins to realize they couldn’t complete our order. At this point we were ready to cancel, then they brought another worker over who seem to come off break and asked what was wrong. He then said “oh no, we do have the chicken they just never dropped it into the fryer.” So we decided we’ll we waited this long whats another 5 mins. And kept waiting.3. Finally after 30mins of waiting, I come home, fire up the oven to re heat the food that had been already made waiting for the chicken. Because we all would like to have hot food. I open up the package and this is what I find. A Burgerless burger. I was not upset, yet I was surprisingly amused. This truly was worst “fast food” experience I’ve ever had. Trust me I’ve had bad before.Use my experience as something to learn from when deciding where you like to have your fast food from and you decide what would be best. They didn’t even deserve this 1 star rating.

2022-08-02I ordered online and when I went to pickup they had nothing I ordered. They had no coffee, no bread to make the breakfast sandwiches.This pic is of the Chili Cheese Tots I ordered. No Chili, no tots.. smh..Update 8-2-22. Customer service got back to me right away. They apologized and will reach out to the restaurant. Thank you.

2022-08-07First time ever coming here, and was so excited because of all of the good things Ive heard about it. But I was more than disappointed with the experience. I ordered a number 6(all-American hot dog) after having to repeat it to the lady in the pa system 3 times. I ended up with a chicken sandwich, #10, and it was covered in mayo. I ordered 2 number 7s, the quarter pound hot dogs, for the other passengers in my car, with some minor modifications, and both of the hot dogs were incorrect, and the cheese and hot dogs were cold. They had no onion rings, the fries were barely warm, and the popcorn chicken I also ordered were the only hot things. But I did not get the sauce I ordered for those. The only thing that were correct were the drinks, and the M&M blast I ordered for my girlfriend was also correct, but the ice cream was grainy and unpleasant in both taste and texture. Sadly, this ruined the whole experience for me. 40 dollars wasted on food we barely ate. Sorry Sonic, you tried, and failed miserably. Never coming here again.

Get my food have one piece of chicken the rest is the crumbs on the bottom of the bag for my barbecue chicken. And on top of it my tater tots have burnt flakes all over them from there Im not changing the oil and they didnt have change so they ripped me off 56 cents on top of it

2022-06-11The food was disappointing at best and the experience was horrible. Each and every time we visit Sonic it seems to be getting worse and worse. The line was extremely long and the drive thru speaker was broken. Luckily, they had a piece of paper on the order box stating that it was broken. It said Pull to window, speaker not working But HOLD ON, thats not all. The wait was terrible. Multiple cars had very big orders and we ended up waiting for over an hour to get our food. I seriously did not see this coming. The crispy chicken sandwich patty was dried out and the tater tots tasted like they were deep fried in oil that hasnt been changed since before COVID-19. The employees were nice enough, but this is ridiculous! I will never be coming back here ever again! Guess this location quickly caught up in the race to the bottom. UNACCEPTABLE!

2022-07-05This is one of the worst restaurants to order from. I live 22 mins away. I ordered food at 2:06 pm. It is now 4:17 p.m and the food still isnt here! Every time I call I get sorry, order is delayed! Mind you, I have to follow up because no one at the store is doing it! No follow up calls, no apologies, nothing!! I have to wonder how they stay open. Do not waste your time going to this location. They obviously are on a whole different tangent to the commercials!!!

2022-05-12Just visited this location (at 6:30pm). The restaurant looked open (as any fast food place should be at dinner time). Pull up to the speaker and theres a handwritten sign saying that they can only accept exact change for cash, or credit. I was paying credit so I pulled up to place my order. At this point a worker came on the speaker and told me that they were closed. No signage (saying theyre closed) and, again, it was 6:30 in the evening. The worst part? This is the third time this has happened to me at this Sonic. I love Sonic, but I am unlikely to return to this location.

2022-08-01The food is good, but I waited in line for half an hour to get two meals. When I got my food, I realized that they forgot my daughters corn dog. Ive now tried to call the store 3 times and Im sitting in a stall with the press to order button activated, but I still havent been able to get ahold of anyoneI can only assume theyre short staffed due to low wages. Please pay your people more and hire more folks

2022-06-22-20/5 rating. Staff can’t tell the difference between a grilled cheese and a cheeseburger and continued to argue when I said my order was incorrect. I waited over an hour for service, who the server was completely rude to me. after placing an online order staff failed to tell me TWICE they were out of regular sprite and gave me diet instead of simply asking me if I wanted another drink. tried calling the store several times with no reply. Sadly this sonic is the only one in my area and I will NOT be returning. As a retail manager for many years I have never met such an unprofessional and rude staff.

2022-07-13I write this as I sit here in the drive thru 30 plus minutes waiting for my order. No employees in site. This is the most pathetic excuse for a business I have ever seen. The lack of care and customer service at this location is almost impressive it’s so bad.Update: finally got our food after about an hour. It was cold and one of the burgers was wrong. My sons chicken tenders were closer to black then brown. No employee would look at me let alone apologize for such a horrendous experience. How is this place even open?
