Staples in other cities:
Needed a small fan for my office and the Staples website has many however their brick and mortar store doesn’t. What’s the point of having this location if you don’t even carry your products? Such a joke and will happily be buying my fan on amazon because if I have to order online I’d rather do it through them.
I went here to pick up a calculator for my son. The gentleman on the second floor young black guy ( I did not catch his name) but his customer service was amazing! Ive been here quite a few times but that experience will definitely make me visit again. The line was long but the people were nice.
Went there to pick something up something I ordered online and I got there a little early, 10 minutes before they opened and tried to get in. To be fair, they had the gate open so I thought they were open although the door was locked when I tried to get in. The manager or a senior employee came out and was insistent about not letting me in until the store opened. Fair enough, but then continued to read me the riot act about how dangerous it was having me past the gate which is a bit ridiculous. If you really didnt want me getting past the gate then why not keep it closed until you actually opened? Anyway, I come back when they were open, gave them all the information they needed including my name, the item, order number and when I ordered it (a month ago). They were insistent that they never received it saying if my name wasnt on a box, they never got it. I kept telling them to double check but two different employees just scanned over the boxes saying over and over again that if my name isnt on the box, they never got it. They stood there refusing to help me out until I spent 10 minutes pulling up the actual confirmation page and showing it to them. Even then they were insistent they didnt have it, telling me to figure it out myself by calling customer support, etc. I then had to pull up the tracking number and actually show them that it said package was successfully delivered to the store and signed by an employee before they finally decided to go through the boxes they had and found the one I ordered. The lady then continued to read me the riot act again, but this time about how the packing slip didnt have my name on it and they couldnt identify it like it was my fault. I put my name in wherever it asked me to when I ordered it online and it was even on the confirmation page. Besides, I dont understand why they wouldnt label it with the order number or the item if it didnt have a name on it. They ridiculously rude especially that lady (wish I got her name) and wouldnt help me acting like it was completely my fault. It took all but a minute to go through the boxes to find my order and instead they wasted half an hour of my time refusing to go through them over and over again. I can understand that its early and that that youre busy opening up but it is absurd to expect a customer to solve a problem on your end! Im NEVER going back there again and would caution anyone about going there tool. Employees there have a terrible attitude with an even worse customer service.
The cashiers are noisy, love to chat while waiting on you. i returned something that i bought a long time ago but did not open and they made me feel like a criminal because i did not have the receipt... it cost me 11.00 and they refunded me 1.00 what a rip off. they are the only game in the area so i continue to support them. i used to own a chain of retail stores and if i had cashiers like them i would have fired them.
The printing staff is ridiculously unhelpful and have poor communication skills. Attempted to do a simple print today for labels , this morning when we went in around 11a a young gentleman was barley able to help us with our task or even explaining what we needed to do. We returned later when we got all the correct file info for the paper size. We asked where they were and they told us to go upstairs. Once we returned down they stated it was the wrong type , instead of just being clear which exact one we needed in the first place. Then when we finally get the barcode to print the labels we are told they cannot help us after over 30minutes of us waiting in the store clearly attempting to do something today. I don’t know what’s up with your staff but they need to be more clear with customers instead of confusing them multiple times and having them wait around on top of looking around for products that they could of just been more clear about... very unprofessional. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with the printing department at this store.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. GO ELSEWHERE. All of the staff were disinterested in their jobs and their customers. I had to ask for help, no one offered to help me and the product I required was on the second floor. The employee called ahead to upstairs and I was supposed to be met on the second floor by an employee. No employees were present so I had to go back downstairs to ask for help then back up again. At checkout the employee didnt allow me time to press for an email receipt then lied that his system was choosing the options for me. Thats nonsense, I saw him pressing buttons on his screen. Never shopping there again. Now I have to manually scan in my receipt.
Being only a few weeks away from Christmas and having done a significant amount of shopping thus far I have thoroughly exhausted my enthusiasm for pursuing any purchases. So when my printer malfunctioned halfway through the printing of our traditional holiday family photo cards I freaked out. It was quarter after seven at night and I was dreading the mission ahead. I couldnt have had an easier or more pleasant experience at Staples on 15th and Chestnut Streets. The moment that I walked in I was greeted by pleasant and knowledgeable staff members. I knew that I needed ink (my printer told me as much) but I was less certain that an Ethernet cord would solve my connection issues. However, after describing the events leading to the printers breakdown, the kind salesman assured me that it would absolutely do the job. Well he was right and I was back in business printing piles of Seasons Greetings! I hadnt previously held Staples in the highest stature but I misjudged their commitment to excellent customer service. I highly recommend that you visit them for your tech needs.
Lance and Geoffrey (Im sorry If i spelled his name wrong) were very helpful. I went shopping with my dad to buy him a laptop as his last one was stolen . They were both very helpful as my dad is not very knowledgeable when it comes to electronics. We ended up getting 2 laptops one for myself and one for my dad and they did a wonderful job helping my dad with making the decision.
Bad service. Called to check on my order twice and was kept on hold for 30+ minutes both times and ended up hanging up. Walked to the store and was told they were backed up. They told me to come back in an hour which wouldve been around 1:30. I told them Id come in at 2 so they werent rushed. Came in at 2:15 and was told they hadnt started printing yet. They told me theyd start it and needed 5-10 minutes to print it. Still waiting for it now. Watched them ignore phone calls for 20+ minutes almost as if they are hoping the customer will just hang up. Really need some better management and better customer service at this location.
Started to buy me a Epson all in one printer, scan, copy and fax machine. When the. Tech sales Supervisor, Shyheim step in and told me of a least expensive one. He help me save on a expense that would happen later and that would of been the ink. I was also able to pay for protection on the device and purchase some more ink. I walked out with a smile in my. Oh let me not forget about Tracy the sales associate, she was helpful as well. Love my experience today.
Always feel like Im being hustled by sales people on commission. Worst retail customer service of a lifetime. Everyone always seems stressed out and rushed. I usually go to replace my printer ink cartridges, Never once have I gotten the dollar amount cartridge I requested - always the more expensive one. This was not true when I bought a flash drive and the sales guy just handed me something like here take this and get out of my face. It was less GBs than I wanted and the housing broke apart when I pulled it out of my computer. Have called the manager and complained. Things are still the same. Trapped. Unless I order from Staples online this store is my only option.
I was in Philadelphia on a work trip and my laptop died. I rushed into this store on the way to the airport asking to buy a laptop that I needed quickly. The employee told me he couldnt just get the laptop for me, that I needed to go through a check list of questions and the whole process takes about 30 minutes. I explained my situation, noting my cab to the airport was double parked in front, and he said he cant just get me the laptop, I have to go through some check list. My response, So you cant sell me this laptop? His response, Not unless you go through the check list, its corporate policy. I then asked (nicely), Can I explain this to the manager, its an emergency? He said, No, Im the manager. I probably go to Staples once a month, but never again...
Buyer Beware!!!! Extremely poor customer service. Fortune 500 company will not replace $200 broken printer after 3 attempts even with extended warranty!!!I have now purchased and returned 3 Brother printers from this store and each time I received worse and worse customer service. The employees there have redirected my replacement requests back to Brother and also to their customer service over the phone claiming they cannot resolve the issue in the store alone even though I purchased the extended warranty.I have wasted over 5 hours waiting on the phone and talking with the customer service reps only to receive a store voucher for a value that was less than the price of the printer. All I wanted was to walk into the store and make a simple exchange with no need for vouchers and me having to pay additional out-of-pocket expenses to replace a faulty product. Seeing as this printer was just over $200 (retail keep in mind) and that Staples is a Fortune 500 company, I would have thought this would have been a relatively small request to keep a customer happy. Nonetheless, it seems this company has other priorities than tending to the needs of their customers and will not be receiving my business nor any of my colleagues business in the future.
I primarily use this Staples for its Print & Copy center and things tend to go well. The staff is almost always pleasant - there are days when one or two will seem a bit surly/tired, but working long hours in retail does that. I always get what I come for, though, which is to have things printed quickly and efficiently. If Im shopping for something, and not just dealing with the Print center, sometimes the salespeople are a bit over-helpful. Sometimes. Usually things are fine. This location is good overall, and some of the people working there are great. I much prefer this Staples to some other similar businesses.
Demaka is AMAZING!!! She’s so upbeat and informative!!! You can really tell that she enjoys doing her job!! Hey customer service skills will kee me coming back as long as she is there. From beginning to end she helped me pick out the perfect material for my outdoor banner and didn’t mind my many questions. Thanks a ton!!!
In this store early in the morning about 8:30 27th of November 2018 at the printing center where I needed help, there was someone by the name of John who works there with the wrong attitude for customer service! Its obvious by the look on his face as well as trying to avoid or ignore customers who have a question or a problem and need his help!
I would give the Center City location 5 stars if it wasnt for the numb nut Tariq who completely screwed up my order on 10/8/16. This idiot had a nerve to try and rectify his screw up by reprinting my order on an inferior quality of paper (I purchased a more expensive product to have my order printed on), without my knowledge. I guess numb nut assumed I wouldnt notice and still pay for it. Tariq needs to be FIRED or retrained. On a lighter note, there are 2 employees of the copy center who should get a raise, and that would be Danny and Damika. These 2 young ladies are extremely pleasant, professional, and proficient. They are the bright lights of Staples.
The staff was very helpful and I got a copy made this was back a couple of months ago I think december and I was helped properly, so I am coming back to have another copy made, you have good staff, I live in boothwyn pa and I am coming to Philadelphia pa Monday to have a copy made, you have good service at your store. Have a nice no an excellent day!!!!!!!
The worst Ive experienced, tech support to salesman, l bought a comp. In August along with a fax, copier, scanner that has not been used as of yet, I told them along with computer which I only got usage approx. 1 month if that along with extra protection, warranty, that I never get, comp. Breaks into April just came back from manufacturer along with a letter. Missing pcs. Within your comp. When tested they were put theirs in took out sent back comp. No one is responsible.....BUT WORSE EXP.WAS SALESMAN WITH A VERY HI OPINION OF HIMSELF, TO TRY AND KNOCK ME DOWN WHO SAID I SCREAM AT YOU AGAIN STAPLES JUST LOVES ME...
This staples store is full of low life lying scum. The manager jeff is a huslter, who will say anything to pawn off problems and the alledged technician johnny, doesnt own the right tools for any computer repair. Odds are these guy are not licensed professionals and should not be anywhere near a staples store. Go the staples on oregon ave for a great staples experience. Go to chestnut if you want to ruin your day!!!

2022-07-14My office is close to this Staples location, so I go there when I need something laminated or some quick office supplies. Not often. Maybe 2-3 times per year. The store is clean and well organized, and most all of the staff are super friendly and professional. Today, I needed a card laminated so I stopped in. A staff member named Jaliyah was there to help me out. She provided quick, professional, and very friendly 5 Star service. I would definitely recommend this location. Thanks Jaliyah and Staples!

2021-11-03Supply is fine but their new hours are awful. They are open 8-6 on the weekdays when everyone is at work. Not everyone works from home or can leave their job to buy supplies. It would be great if some days they were open until 8 or 9pm like a Tuesday and Thursday.

2021-06-12Yes, Staples is open for business, printing, and a really solid UPS drop-0ff center too. Handy if youre shopping in the area, need office supplies. The staff is always helpful and especially delighted to see you coming through the door.

2021-03-24I just left the staples @ 15th and chestnut. I was confused about the whole self serve fax center and the associate named Bee. Was not only helpful , but pleasant and super attentive to my needs as well as all the other customer in the store. She was apparently training a new associate and was walking her through the day to day tasks with poise and grace . Thanks Bee, you rock. Give that lady some kudos

2020-10-13I walked into Staples on Chestnut St thinking that I needed a new laptop. Jan helped me, showing me tablets and laptops that might suit me. After questioning me on my own laptop, he recommended i purchase a USB Adapter to see if that solved my problem before I made such a big purchase. This worked perfectly for me and am very grateful that Jan not only listened to me , but heard what i said and made the perfect suggestion. Thats the kind of help thats needed !! Thank you Jan.

2018-02-17I came here last night to make some copies. One team member assisted me and was very helpful. I went to the cashier asking where can I get some pens. She said upstairs aisle 3 but were closing. I said so I cant even get some pens? She said you can but I just wanted you to know were closing. Im like pens is all I needed. At that point she reiterated aisle 3. While I was heading upstairs two people came in and she didnt stop them and say were closing. They went upstairs as well with no incident. When I came back down they were at the register and I was heading out the door. Or so I thought. Turns out miss cashier locked the inside doors and I couldnt get out. She says Ill unlock it in a second. Wouldnt even call someone over to unlock it. So Im just standing there waiting. It took another employee to see me standing there to ask can I help you with something maam? I said yeah Im trying to leave and she locked the doors. So he unlocked it and he apologized. I get it its Friday and she wanted to get out but so did I.

2019-07-11I ordered online on 5/11/2019 to be delivered to this store. After I didnt receive a notification for several weeks, I went into the store to ask if they happened to receive the package and it somehow didnt make it into the system. Geoffrey gave a deeply condescending speech on how they cant do anything or know anything until the package reached the store, which is what I was asking him, so Im not sure why the tone was needed. A week later, after hours of online support, it was discovered that the store had rejected the shipment and thats why it was in limbo - funny that Geoffrey didnt mention that he keeps no record of shipments he receives or rejects, since thats part of reaching the store. It is now exactly two months since the date I ordered a package of paper, and I have no paper, no access to the rewards I used, no refund, and I am still spending half an hour a week on the phone with Staples just trying to get my money back. I didnt think messing up a single-item order this badly was possible.
