After calling 12 different local oil delivery companies for emergency oil delivery,I received a call back from Jennifer,owner of Sullivan.After speaking with the on-call serviceI had a feeling of relief and trust.They were very personable and informative.Most of the other companies said we will be open on Monday and to callback.But first wanted to know if I was a contracted customer.Sullivan, on the other treated me l as if I was a customer for 30 years.I have my grandson living with us and needed immediate help. Needed to get heat for his comfort.Waited 10 minutes and received call from Jennifer the owner.She was amazing, responded with how can we help , not are you a current customer.The owner answering emergency calls on a Saturday and delivering the service necessary to help my family.Now Thats the company you stand behind.Sullivan responded the way all service companies should.Thank you Jennifer and thank you Sullivan!
Reached out to Sullivan for general cleaning/maintenance on my mini-split system. They were prompt, courteous, and professional! When a problem was found they made sure a technician returned the next day to get everything 100%! Definitely recommended!
We had Sullivan install a new system when we found out our oil furnace was failing. They did an outstanding job with the install and in my opinion went above and beyond. I also liked how they looked at the entire house to size the system and address any cold spots. Their team were all very professional and I am very happy with the clean install.
We had Sullivan set up our LP fireplace today. Stacy did a great job installing all the equipment, explaining everything, and giving us helpful tips for routine maintenance and operation of the unit. Sullivan Oil & Propane was exceptional. We had our heat pump breakdown that required replacement; the sales representative (Ron), staff and owner went over and above to have our family back on track in a short time. We are very thankful especially during this time when dealing with Covid-19. The Sullivan Team already seemed to have in their procedures the BEST techniques to respect clients from the initial sales visit to installation. They put down tarps throughout our home and acted professional, so that I could continue to work from home during the process. The owner, Gene Sullivan was present on the first day and stopped by a few more times to make sure that we were happy with the installation. Over the past 2 years, I have had them at my home 3 times for issues and they provide my propane. I have been very happy with their professionalism and work ethic while in my home. The propane deliveries are done and they bill me via email. They even move things back to the way they were before their visit and make sure the area is clean. I would recommend them to anyone. Craig and Dustin did a GREAT job. Gene (the owner) has been here as well to consult with. Everything was explained to me in detail before and after the work was done. Thanks guys.
The folks at Sullivan have always been friendly, helpful, reliable and competent. When we bought the home, the previous owners used propane from Sullivan for heat, etc. Being new to propane ourselves, Gene the owner visited us and spent over an hour providing advice on how to maximize comfort and efficiency. They did routine maintenance, and also removed a propane stove that we did not want. We had a dog with anxiety issues, and the service tech was one of the very few strangers that the dog warmed up to. I highly recommend.
We purchased our home about 8 months ago and are new to propane as a fuel source for our home. We mistakenly let our tank empty and had no heating or hot water. After calling numerous propane companies no one could help us on a Sunday or did not even answer. Well, Sullivan answered on a Sunday and on the next day delivered and filled our tank at 8AM. Not only was this a life saver as we have (2) small children but the customer service, scheduling, and response time were amazing. Their PP Gallon beat my previous supplier by quite a bit!!! I will happily be a Sullivan customer for as long as I am able.
Sullivan just replaced my central air system. They listened to my wants needs, offered choices, and worked with financing. The installers were excellent. They left the attic cleaner than they found it! A note for our times: With coconavirus here, the process of sales and installation was handled professionally and with special care, while in my home. For that I am so grateful to them all.
This company is great! Always on time, friendly and always considerate on phone or at our home. We just had a new furnace installed & Gene explained everything, gave us a great price and the job was completed 2 days later! There were 5 men working & each were very friendly, knowledgeable and very considerate of our home, using clean cloth boots each time they entered our home & excellent clean up when finished. We have been customers for years and never been disappointed. Keep up the great job ethics Gene has instilled in this company! I wish there were more companies with your ethics!
This is the best oil and propane company I have ever serviced with. As I write this review i am enjoying the return of heat to my home for my wife, six year old daughter, 3 year old daughter and myself. The reason why is because of a great employee named Henry that helped me over the phone get my system up and running again. It is rare to run across good people but Henry redefines that title and I wish Henry and his family a safe and happy holiday season. Thank you Henry and thank you Sullivan Oil!
I needed service on a weekend and had called a few places. I got a lot of run around until I called Sullivan, who got there in less than 2 hours. Technichian was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I thought price was fair considering that I didnt have a contract and it was the weekend. I am getting a service contract with them, considering the great service and competitive pricing.
I contacted Sullivan Oil and Propane to inquire as to whether or not they fill personal propane tanks (for grills, heaters, etc.) and was thrilled to hear they do. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who happily helped me unload my tanks, fill them, and get them back in my car. Great service with a smile!
The technicians were very professional and understanding of our needs, they knew exactly what to do when installing the 2 propane tanks and the gas lines to feed our fireplace and a whole house generator.Very happy with this service and I do recommend Sullivan oil and propane .5 stars.
I just had Sullivan repair my Carrier Central AC unit on this hot day. Their technician, Jevin, arrived at the exact time promised. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem with my compressor. I also had him change my air handling unit filter and rod out the condensate drain line. Everything is working beautifully. The price was very reasonable. My system was installed in 1982. Hows that for longevity. I highly recommend Sullivan.
Ron and the crew were extremely professional, courteous, and hard working. The boiler installation was extremely well done, neat and we could not be happier with the results. Nothing but high praise and appreciation for a job well done.
The Driver was very professional, respectful, explained everything I needed to know, and answered all my questions. He installed the cement pads, had to dig to level a bit, and did a wonderful job to make sure the tanks were sitting safely behind my house. We relocated from Califirnia. Needed a propane company. Called Sullivan and didnt find just a propane company, we found a family. Stacy, Henry, you worked as hard as Ive seen come work for us from anybody. We needed an entire system and especially in this weather, they got it done and it wasnt easy. The Sullivan team is top notch and professional! This past summer I had a Mitsubishi heating & cooling system installed in our home, my wife and I love it so much that we had another one installed in our detached garage! Gene explained the system and answered any questions I had. The service techs that did both installations were on time and true craftsmans paying attention to every detail! My mother ran out of propane using another company who wouldn’t come for 2 days in freezing cold, I called Sullivan and explained her situation and they were there within a hour giving her new tanks and propane. Amazing customer service and very grateful for their help for my mom!

Sullivan Oil & Propane takes care of their customers. They give fast, efficient service and their technicians are knowledgeable and clean. They installed our heat pump 3 years ago and have been maintaining it ever since. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
Propane Service individual was short and bordering on rude to my wife. Receptionist not knowledgeable on pricing and just wanted to collect their money for rental services not yet rendered.I really like their canned reply that if I need to discuss my situation further to contact them. Good customer service dictates that you be proactive with your customers and discuss the situation and try to make things right. So as we can see here, actions do/should speak louder than words.
I had scheduled an appointment for propane install a month ago. I received a telephone call the night before the technician would be there between 0900-0930 hours. The technician never showed up I called at 0945 hours and they stated the technician had a doctors appointment and would be there within the hour. I had to call again at 1045 and Mark had no clue why the technician wasnt there yet. The technician then shows up around 1130, which is over 2 1/2 hours LATE! Never once did Sullivan call me and tell me he is running behind and even offer to reschedule. The technician stated that he would need to do some extra work and the job would cost an extra $370 with labor and parts. I told them to do the job and the technician dropped the tank and then said he had other commitments and LEFT WITHOUT HOOKING UP MY SERVICE. Sullivan did not call me to reschedule nor did he give me a time when he would be out to finish the job. I had to call multiple times and and when I proposed a deal to compensate me for the inconvenience they didnt even call me back to say yes or no. I had to call the owner who then stated I requested the tank to be picked up, which is a huge miscommunication.
Had a service appointment scheduled. Technician was 15 minutes early, very polite, explained everything he was checking and testing and explained the results. Clean & neat.Have dealt with Sullivan for about 20 years, never a complaint or issue from the office staff to the team in the field.
After dealing with numerous heating and cooling companies over the years, we have never experienced the quality of service, installation and satisfaction provided by Gene Sullivan and his very competent and courteous staff. They installed a new Daikin heat pump which replaced an 11 year old Bryant (Carrier) system. This new Daikin system is every bit as outstanding as the people that sold and installed it. Sullivans crew showed up on time to bury a 500 gallon propane tank and install a new gas line. They were thorough, courteous and paid fastidious detail to the work. I am very pleased and happy to be a new customer.
It was the Sunday after July 4th and we woke up to find that our AC was not working. By about 9am, the temperature inside was at 77 and rising. It was also pretty humid, which made it all the more uncomfortable. We contacted our current (and soon to be previous) service provider. They told us that their queue was full and had been growing since Friday. They said theyd give us a call on Monday morning to add us to the queue but that wed likely be waiting at least several days.I googled around a bit and ran into Sullivan. I hadnt heard of them before, but I decided to give them a shot. The first difference was that Instead of having a scheduler return my call, I actually got a technician, who asked some questions to try and troubleshoot the issue over the phone. When that didnt work out he offered to come over and take a look. He said it was going to cost a little extra as it was off hours, but that was understandable and well worth it to me, so I asked him to stop by.After about 60 minutes the technician showed up and after about another 60 minutes the AC was back up and running. The technician also noticed that the exterior electrical box for the AC unit was installed in a really bad spot and moved it for me at no cost. I was shocked that in a total of about 3 hours from the time I realized there was a problem, the problem was resolved. And that was without any kind of special service contract. I could not be happier and wanted to share my experience. I would recommend Sullivan to anyone.
I can’t say enough good things about this company! I got quotes from 4 different companies and Sullivan was the only one that I felt wasn’t trying to up charge me! I had a new wall hanging unit out in my house yesterday. The guys showed up right at 8 am and they didn’t leave my house till almost 7pm! They made sure everything was up and running properly before they felt, even though I know they were tired and just wanted to call it a day. Max was super professional and explained everything they were going to do and went above and beyond! I will definitely be recommending Sullivan to anyone who needs service or new install of a furnace!
Asked for someone to come out and evaluate my central air units and instead was greeted by a salesman attempting to push new ducting, new units, new everything. They didnt even know what, if anything, was wrong with my current a/c units. When I explained to the salesman who I believe is the owner, he shook his head and seemed irritated with the person who took my initial call for service. He assured me a tech would come out to inspect the units and I never heard from them again. I guess you are important to this company until they find out you arent looking to spend upwards of $7,000.00 after just purchasing the home. I would not recommend Sullivan to anyone on a budget or anyone who is not looking to overhaul their entire setup. I mean, come on, new duct work in a system that is only 15 years old?
Ordered propane for my generator after the first Nor-Easter on 3-3-2018 caused our electric to go out for 3 days.The generator ran for the whole time. Tank was nearly empty and another Nor-Easter was on the way.My normal supplier couldnt make a delivery for a whole week, just the thought of our electric going out again was not an option. I have 2 sump pumps keeping my basement dry and the water rises real fast with no electric. So I gave a call to Sullivan the propane was delivered promptly and on time just as promised. I would recommend Sullivan Oil & Propane to anyone needing prompt and courteous service.

I have used this company for years at 2 different houses for gas and oil great prices. They sent a tech named Dave who was awesome! He was very educated and fixed my furnace after another company had looked at it twice and couldnt fix it . I called them back for a furnace cleaning and that tech was great and did a Thorough job. I will always stick with this company for all services .
A very good HVAC company. The owner himself came out to explain the process and came back the day of installation to check on progress. He made sure to modify the existing ductwork so that it was correct. His employees were all very nice too. I would highly recommend Sullivan Oil and Propane. They will also be our new propane provider.
We had a fire in our house (not related to our heating system) but the gas had to be turned back on and all of the systems checked out due to smoke damage. Sullivan sent out their people immediately upon us calling and checked everything out and got us back up and running that same day. Really helpful techs that did a tremendous job. It was most appreciated especially while going through all the stress of a fire. Cant thank Sullivan enough.
Sullivan performed original install of HVAC systems when we built the home in 1999. Their service after the sale has been spot on; going the distance to make sure any issues have been addressed, and completed,correctly. I highly recommend Sullivan Oil& Propane for any HVAC needs.
Im new to propane as a heat source and under estimated my usage, and was about to run out. I called Sullivan and explained my problem to Jennifer. She got me a next day delivery and set me up with auto-delivery so I wouldnt put myself at risk again. The help was greatly appreciated, and they won a customer.
This is the second time Ive needed Gene and his company to pull through for me. My dad had an old oil tank and Gene had just come out to service his furnace. Well the mobile home park we live in requres that anyone with an oil tank remove them and switch to propane or electric. Now my dad had already put out like $1500.00 for the upgrade on his furnace and to fill his oil tank through Sullivans. He called and Gene came out to his home and gave my dad a price to switch it all to propane. Although he had just paid a large amount for the oil service, Gene came through and helped my dad with the switch over at a price he could afford and also allowed him to make payments. We are definitely very satisfied customers of Sullivans and will remain with them for years to come. Thank you Gene for helping my dad out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They do not back their work. Had them do all new piping on a brand new Bosch Boiler. Cost $2000. After the work was done I noticed a small drip coming from beneath the unit but thought it was condensation. When I had the company come back out for yearly maintenance the Tech looked at it and said your unit needs to be drained and those pipes redone its seeping in 2 locations. I said to the tech, you guys did that install...he turned to me and said we did. Oh then Ill have to have someone from the office get back to you. 60 days later no call. They also refuse to return my call and had the audacity to charge me for that service call when they refuse to fix their work. I guess I gotta pay another company a service call now to look at it. This company is completely unprofessional. Not returning calls or standing behind their work. I would def save yourself the headache and find another company
I smell paid reviews here, they are the worst fuel company Ive ever dealt with. Awful customer service too. I inherited their tanks with a home I bought and they never inspected anything, just badgered my wife into signing their safety agreement which was a delivery contact in disguise. Furnace valve leaked propane and nearly killed my family. Then when I tried to cancel them because they would deliver unannounced with no receipt on the door, they continued to bill me despite my final request to be will call delivery only. Suburban is a real company, go with them.
Sullivans is great. Always willing to work with you on your bill. Family owned business and you can tell youre not just a dollar sign to them. Reliable. Very professional installation. Highly recommend.
Previously used thrifty propane as our supplier, after poor customer service, no return phone calls, and waiting over 20 days despite their quote of 10-15 for deliverys, that did never show up leaving us with only 5% propane left in our tank,even as a brand new customer to Sullivan Propane there were out to our residence within 5 hours after I placed an inquiry telephone call, not only did we save almost .30 cents a gallon, and were not charged any emergency fees but their customer service was far superior to any of the 3 other companys I have done business with in the past. Huge THANK-YOU!!!!!
I am unbelievably grateful for Genes willingness and generosity getting my system charged and working in the interim until the new system can be installed. This kind of customer service is hard to come by these days, and I feel very confident I have made the right choice with Sullivan Oil. Gene had no obligation to have performed the service his technician (Jack) did this morning, and I am extremely appreciative.

I called Sullivan for service on a water heater & scheduled for Thursday, late that afternoon I gave them a call, the unit needed a water valve and they were to advise me of costs. I called late Friday & was told the tech was on his way to install the part, I was to receive a call regarding cost first. The cost was over $650. I told him not to proceed and send me a bill for the service call.Monday no call. I drove to their office and was told that I would be charged $190 I felt this was unreasonable and asked for the manager to call me. No one called!I received the invoice for repair, the scheduled time is stated as between 8:00 & 10:00 yet I am billed for 2 hrs labor from 7:30 to 9:30 on top of that they charged a $79 service charge to show up. These people are dishonest in their business practices It is not true because that day the office called me at 7:54am to confirm the service address. I find it hard to believe it took 2 hrs to diagnose the unit. They are unethical! Really sorry I used them!
My husband called this morning, a man named Mark answered and was very sarcastic to him not able to give my husband a sincere answer of when he can receive the oil. He also made a wise comment saying “ you should plan better”. My husband ended up calling back to speak to a supervisor but another coworker named Debbie answered instead, telling him to hold on and hanged up on him. They were both very unprofessional and for that, I rate this company a half a star. I hope their supervisor read my review, if not they will hear from me another day.Happy holidays, to all reading my review.

Moved here 5 months ago from CA, the entire crew took care of us like we were their cherished Mother...no kidding, Stacy worked in the snow in the near dark freezing temps to get us propane so we could move in, then he is cool enough to come back next day for dryer...They are worth their weight in gold!

I asked the propane dept for an estimate to install a quick connect hose fitting to the tanks, the estimate was $560 and it discribed 3 hours of labor and the guy (Johhny) a fast talker said the 12 foot hose would be a special made etc...., so I called another company they send out their guy and he said its about 1/2 labor and about $75.00 worth of readily available parts including the 12 foot hose an approximate total he said of about $225, a huge difference, keep in mind when they say they will give you a free tank without a rental or lease fee, its because they charge you an extra .50 to .60 cents per gallon extra.To verify both side I took to the Internet and verified the parts were all on Amazon for about the same price the second company man had said, keep in mind I never told either people I had a another quote, so buyer beware, its a crooked world out there and customer service is a rare commodity. I found that out when I called the owner at Sullivan and told her the difference, said she would try to find out and get back to me the next day, its been over a week and I even emailed her again if she cared about customer service or not, before I would post a review, never heard a peep!

I called this morning to get set up with a new propane tank and propane. The woman was very pleasant and helpful. Not to mention they dont charge any fees for delivery or any nickel and diming fees, if you know what I mean. I am an extremely satisfied new customer!
I called with a problem at the last minute. They were extremely busy, but still found a way to send a technician to the house the very next day. The technician was able to get both gas heaters working, and even gave his personal number in case future problems occured. Great experience!

Provided prompt delivery of propane, on a Sunday, during the March extended power outage. Additionally, propane delivery driver was most knowledgable about the product and provided several helpful hints on propane management for a whole house generator which I had recently installed but never had an opportunity to use. 5 star service, and my thanks.

Prompt on arrival for an after-hours call, however I was quoted $119 an hour for the rate and my credit card was charged for $275. Still have not seen an actual invoice, and a week later it was explained that the extra charge was because that was what the book told them to charge. Customer service needs a repair.
(Update. They got us the oil before we ran out and since then never had an issue with them at all , theyve done their job flawlessly.)Honestly they come and go and top off the tank and half the time we dont even know they came and thats great.
This company is the worst!!! Stay away. They misdiagnosed our air conditioning concern and replaced the outside a/c unit for over $2000. It lasted for roughly a week and they came back to tell us that inside unit needed to be replaced for an additional $2000. Before they came back to tell us the outside unit needed to be replaced they presented us with a bill for $480. This company is inadequate!!!

Replaced an igniter for my heater today, charged $275 ($79 for showing up, and $196 for the igniter). The price for the same igniter from internet is less than $20. This company over charged me.

We have ordered oil twice from this company and there is always an issue, unhelpful phone service as well as pushed back deliveries, we had a quarter of a tank and we called a week in advance of a snow storm to get oil and still didn’t receive it on time

2022-04-25I have had the team at Sullivan install several heating units. The team is wonderful. They do wonderful work, and priced affordably. I buy my propane and get all my service work done through Sullivan. It is a comfort when the team comes to service my heating units knowing well that they are honest and dependable. They have gone above and beyond to help many times. I say thank you to everyone at Sullivan for all the years of hard work you have done for me.

2021-12-17Today Sullivan installed new gas tanks on my property. They were on time, efficient, and detailed. As a new customer converting from oil to gas, I am pleased to share that the service I received was excellent. Safety comes first. Thank you for making the change over smooth and love the auto-fill option you offer, convenient and not offered by my last oil company.

2022-02-11STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THIEVES!! Tried using them several years ago for rental properties and made it very clear that no repairs were to be done without discussing and reviewing with me. Unfortunately they apparently don’t know how to follow instructions. On 2 different occasions they moved forward with repairs without reviewing with me. Then on 3rd incident, the I called another company for 2nd opinion and they were totally ripping me off. Stopped using them. Now I still have tenants that use them for oil delivery and one is on lyheap assistance. They refused delivery claiming his tank needs to replaced due to new standards. In the middle of winter they claim this?? Once again, just another way to squeeze money out of you by forcing you. Called another company and no issues. In the meantime, the lyheap assistance money went to them. Go figure!! Always get another opinion on your repairs with this company, they are thieves.

2022-02-04I made a panicked phone call at 8:15am this morning in the midst of an ice storm. I unfortunately, had run out of heating oil and called to explain that I had been in bed all week tending to my four year old who has COVID. Mark is ALWAYS extremely courteous and helpful answered and that is who I always speak to. By 8:46am the truck was outside my house and filling my tank. When the technician completed the fill in the freezing rain, he called to make sure I didn’t need a restart before he left because he knew we were completely out. I have been with Sullivan for years and would 100% recommend them and have to everyone. Thank you all for operating in excellence and allowing my children and I to be warm during this storm.

2021-02-15We purchased our home late 2017 and decided to stay with Sullivan oil since they serviced the previous home owner. Best decision I made! Have had great service! We switched in 2019 from oil to propane for efficiency. Not long after that we experienced severe flooding and damage from Hurricane Isaias and my home owners insurance would not cover the damage. Sullivan oil stepped in and repaired and replaced everything at almost no cost!! No words to describe that kind of service. They genuinely care about their customers and the community!

2021-10-14We could not find anyone to service our 40+ year old dynotherm boiler, I called Sullivan’s and they assured me they could help and they absolutely did! Their technician Henry talked me through how it all worked helped me better understand the dinosaur of a machine and was even kind enough to show me how to bleed my radiators, he was extremely patient with my millions of questions and answered every single one of them. Fantastic service!

2021-01-20After being out of fuel for 9 days from another company, a friend suggested that I call Sullivan Fuel in Bath, PA. Jennifer was wonderful! She immediately took action after I told her our issue. We had fuel and tanks delivered within 24 hours. The technician Stacy was great, he went over everything with us and answered any questions we had. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for good service. Keep up the good work guys! 2020-09-12We want to give Sullivan’s team a big thank you for installing our new Air Handler/AC unit.Having a yearly maintenance contract with Sullivan, we realized over the years that since our Air Handler unit was very old and parts were getting harder to find, we made the decision with Sullivan’s technicians recommendation to replace our unit.Sullivan’s sales rep sat down with us and sized up the proper system that we needed at a cost that was reasonable during our retirement. He came up with the unit we needed, and then assisted us with getting the financial approval that day.They called ahead to confirm our appointment time.Sullivan’s Team was very professional; efficiently performed their work throughout the day and installation was completed in one day. They cleaned up thoroughly when finished and left no detection they were even here.While we were initially concerned if our pets would get outside, their team were very responsible making sure doors were closed at all times.Replacing our old unit with this more efficient unit, we are now looking forward to future cost savings.Sullivan gets a five-star rating from us!
