43 year old community garden. Home to native plants, vegetables, a pond, some bees and chickens. In partnership with the Neighborhood Gardens Trust, Drexel University and the gardeners theyve created a good green space between Summer and Winter streets.

Two of these are true, and one is a lie:1. Me and my wife shared a meaningful kiss here when we were in college.2. This place was nicknamed rape garden.3. A man was stabbed here.Okay, the lie was actually the first line. All three of those are true. Admittedly, all of these things happened over a decade ago, I need to swing by and see if they finally put in some decent lighting! Most likely. And if not - GET the lighting in there - someone!Not really somewhere you need to plan into a vacation to Philadelphia - just a little community garden and a path that students cut through on their way to classes and parties. At night, travel in a group - though thats Philly common sense anyway. Especially West Philadelphia. Born and Raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chilling out... well, you know the rest.
