Being a beginner to owning a gun, I wasn’t sure of what to expect at the process but I will save Dave and crew did a great job. They don’t treat you like there better then you just because you have little gun experience. They’re all friendly and service was great. The same goes with guys at range. I would say if your in the market for a gun whether beginner or novice level, this is the place to go. The people are great and selection is great. Thanks again
I had range boss Janet and I must say she made the trip to TSS worth it. I had lost something of great value and she shut the lanes down, took out a magnet, and helped me search for it.The environment is laid back but still safety conscious. Every person is super friendly especially Janet.A true gem of a place and you cannot find a better range then this one.V/rStoops
When I first got my membership when they first opened it was 299 now it’s up to $500 and that was only three years ago. I will not be renewing my membership when it expires it seems like the owner is just a greedy greedy person. I will say the staff is very nice and friendly.
Visited 4 times in the last few months and had very pleasant experiences each time. I appreciate the time and effort in training and answering questions and ensuring the safest practices for handing firearms. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Met Grover during my last visit and he is a great instructor. Very easy and comfortable to work with. I will visit on a more frequent basis.
Went into the range today just to shoot, everyone that works there is super nice and helpful, needless to say I ended up leaving with another firearm.... Ben was absolutely awesome when I purchased my 12 gauge today. He was very knowledgeable answered all my questions, and went the extra mile!!!!!! Everyones kindness sets the tone for a great environment. Keep up the great work!!!!!! I will definitely be back really soon...
First time at this range. Large and clean showroom, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very pleasant to interact with, happy to answer all my questions. Rented a Glock 17 and enjoyed it immensely. Lots of rental guns to choose from. Good prices also. One note: I did have brass from the lane to the left of me sometimes fly over the dividers and land on me. This could have been an isolated incident, but I still enjoyed my time.
Clean showroom, friendly knowledgeable staff, all around a nice place to visit. First time visit to a range, never at any point felt like a rookie. The staff was helpful and answered all our questions. Above all they were patient with us. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for a great experience.
Awesome gun shop and shooting range. Respectful, polite, yet no nonsense people working there. The range was great, bright and well ventilated, they also have a brass catching unit built into the floor which makes it easier to cleanup after yourself. Controls were easy to use, but the lanes were a little narrow in my opinion, I guess they had to keep it narrow to fit 20 lanes in the place. Also, the prices on 9mm ammo I bought for the range were great too.As for the shop, they had a pretty decent selection of firearms, with a small section for used guns. Prices actually were great, compared to other shops Ive been to. The sales people were great also, attentive but not hovering over you. Theyll ask if you need assistance but let you browse and be left alone if you want. Overall, great place, great people, great prices. If I lived a little closer this would be my new go-to place, but Im from Philly and this place is about an hour from me.
Today was my first time there, and I was blown away. The staff was incredibly friendly, they made conversation and answered all my questions. On to the range itself. Absolutely spotless, I was able to walk in there and patiently zero in my new AR without the pressure of being rushed out. The employee in the range was a pleasure also. Very friendly individual. Will I do it again, YES! Thank you for the great time and for providing me excellent customer service.
Ive always liked the staff and facility at TSS, and my last experience was as expected in that regard. However, I am a LEO in DE who is a PA resident. Our agency recently replaced our duty weapons and I was given the chance to buy the old one. It obviously had to go through a PA dealer. I was taken aback a bit when I was charged an $85 transfer fee for a firearm. I know I should have checked up front and that was my mistake. The transfer was handled properly, and the service was great. But I never heard of a gun shop charging $85 for a transfer. Especially when it wasnt something I could buy from them, but purchased as a memento of my decades of state service. I will come here to shoot again, but I will not use them as a transfer again.I am a former FFL as well, and know of no business that charges $85 for a FFL transfer. The fee is really ridiculous.
Everything is good but I got a cleaning kit from them and onece I opened the box everything look used so I called them and they guy gave a attitude when I told him it look used and all the items were scratch and use the cleaning bottles were less that half way full and that I wanted to return it and he said I couldnt because it was open already !!Its my favorite store and I go there every other weekend but now I WONT GO AT ALL NEVER!!!!
Range master clearly was having a really bad day. He was obnoxious and rude. I spoke to the manager afterward and he didnt seem concerned. Upon reading reviews, it appears this is a recently trending problem for this facility. Perhaps the owners should look into this or they might find themselves unable to pay for their second floor facilities being built because the public will not keep paying money to be abused.
The staff at TSS are amazing very friendly and helpful. Store is very clean and welcoming. They have a very nice waiting area for the range. The range itself is very nice. The reason for 2 stars is they allow more then 2 people per lane, phones are aloud out on the range, people just seem to pile up in large groups behind the firing line making it difficult to go to and from your lane and difficult to set up your equipment.
Went to opening day. Nice facility and store. Some bugs to work out with the systems but everyone was friendly and patient. The ranges are nice with state of the art 25 yard lanes - not air conditioned so it was pretty hot and I imagine it got hotter throughout the day. The gun store prices seemed decent - not the best in the area but reasonable. Will be going back.
Fair selection, friendly, good rangeEdit... The more I go, the more I like it here. The range is really good and usually no waiting. Birthdays are free range and rental days, but you can bring your own anything if you want. Recommended. Since covid range time is spaced out and $30 for as long as you need, but theyre adding another range July 2020
Best indoor range in Southeastern PA, Northern DE/MD area. Reasonably priced for the range time. The store selection is very good and customer service is great, although on certain days like Saturday it may be very packed. Still, even then getting a spot on the range or someone to help you in the store section is pretty effortless.
Not sure what it takes to find a gun range in the area where the employees are friendly. I have been to this range several times and the employees at the range desk are typically rude and abrasive. Then in the actual range they act like they just got out of sniper school. Customer assistance is good on the sales side, but the guns are typically over MSRP.
Great experience. Friendly staff. Reasonable pricing. Perhaps one of the best shooting ranges Ive been to- and its a bit of a pilgrimage for me. The most unique aspect, at least in my experience, is the automatic distance for the target setting- tell it how many yards to send the target and itll take care of the rest. Some minor getting used to. Only complaint that brining the target back to you has two distances: too far out, or smack you in the face. But more hilarious than aggravating.
If you have the time and dont mind a little (easy) drive, this is THE BEST range. the ROs are friendly and helpful, the floor staff is the same. you can use your own ammo and everything still feels fresh and new. it is the only place i would consider being a member, if not for the distance from home.
Overall pretty solid range. If you’re bringing your own firearm then yeah this is a good range. Renting is a little different, they don’t have very many firearms for rent despite the fact that the website has a ton listed the store has very few for rental. Range officer is either very nice or very rude and same with the range staff. I had never rented a firearm before, was handed a tote to hold my ammunition and took both the tote and the rental rifle into the range. Came back out swapped the rifle for a handgun and headed back in. When I went back out to swap the handgun for another rifle the woman at the desk chewed me out for not carrying the handgun in the tote despite the fact that the range officer nor anyone else told me I needed to carry it in the tote. I understand, as safety is important however it would be nice if I was told the rules first before renting instead of figuring it out and almost getting asked to leave. Good range, could use some work on communication.
One of the better indoor ranges I have been to. Prices on guns and accessories were fairly priced and ammo was on par with other mom and pop gun shops. The range fee is well priced. What really made this range/store shine was the facilities and the staff. The range and store is well built and nice. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The RSOs are friendly and safe. I was having problems with my ars bolt catch and the RSO on duty helped my figure out the problem and fix it. The entire place has a friendly atmosphere to it.
I would have given it 5 stars but the check in time at the counter to shoot is ridiculous. You would think after being open for almost 2 months the staff would know how to speed it up a little checking people in. I do understand the ownership spent BIG bucks building the place but its like they are trying to re cope it back in a year. The guns are way over priced which is not a problem because you can go buy your guns somewhere else but a membership is pretty expensive. But like others here have said the staff is super friendly and the building and range are beautiful. Oh yea one more thing there hours. Opening at 11am on Sunday come on.
On first impression walking into TSS, I was thinking how nice it is to have a shooting range that was actually inviting to the eye, on a main stretch of road, brightly lit, and plenty of parking. Every range I ever went to prior seemed dark, dirty, and tucked away from the world with very small lots. The shooting range is easy enough to use. Clearly marked for check-in. Watch a short video, sign some paperwork, then its off to handle business. The targeting system is electronic, and easy to use. Targets zip out to distance nice & quick too. Each lane even allows for lighting adjustment. It was very nicely designed. The staff behaved professionally, and the range officer I met was a great older guy, and eager to help, but not overbearing. I cant really complain. Price wise it wasnt bad either.
Very pricey for their membership compared to other indoor ranges with less benefits. Brand new facility but lacking in overall customer service. Staff always seems huddled together, some are helpful, others just being guys with guns. Went in to look for new gun for myself and they asked my husband what HE was looking for.
Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Range was well lit and clean. Ventilation was good. Plenty of lanes for shooters. Staff did an outstanding job of helping and not hovering over you. Advise if you ask for it. I would recommend stopping by. I will go back again.
Extremely engaging staff. Short wait times for non-members. Range is clean. No unreasonable obstacles to shooting - watch an instructional video, sign waiver, clear your ammunition with them, youre good. Been to seedy spots (Target Masters) and this place truly blows the doors off them. Clean, classy, reputable, and state of the art lanes. Repeat customer for the long run. They do appear to try assigning lanes (when possible) by handgun vs rifle/shotgun which is even better. All in all, 10/10.
TSS can be summed up as everything you want in a shooting range without what you dont want in a range. The store is large with a wide selection and good prices. The staff is helpful and knowledgable. As a woman, Its also nice seeing so many women employed by TSS as the industry is still so dominated by men. There is a safety officer at all times in the range so you dont have to worry about careless and unsafe shooters nearby. Mike helped us today and he was amazing. So happy to find this place and ditch the nasty rundown gun ranges you typically find in philly. Place is new and sparkling clean. Would recommend this location for first time shooters over any other range Ive been to. They have promotions for birthdays which was great.
I found Target Shooting Solutions to be very clean and well presented, all of the staff were very polite and helpful. The range is well lit and has plenty of space giving the a sense of security for the more claustrophobic type, furthermore it is well ventilated and the range officer is always around sweeping away brass and giving safety advise if need be. They have common sense and practical safety rules that nobody should find intrusive or obstructive. Outside of the range the showroom is very nice and they carry a decent variety of quality firearms and accessories for a fair price. I would highly recommend Target Shooting Solution to shooters of all skill levels. Above all else, renting a lane is cheep at only $30 and you can stay as long as you want. As a novice shooter myself, I felt very comfortable both inside and outside the range.
I attended a shooting club meeting at this range recently, and our meeting went 15 minutes over the allotted time. Instead of coming in and saying something to us, the owner chose to shut off the lights and leave us in the dark without warning. We had to pack up by cell phone light. The meetings had been taking place there for quite some time, and the group leader thought she had a good relationship with the owner. Talk about rude! I had been considering an annual membership to this range, but forget it.
Terrific range with great shooting stations. Like the fact that they have reasonably-priced ammo available and a number of interesting firearms for sale and for rent. The team is also one of the friendliest bunch of people Ive ever met and Ive really enjoyed my membership there to date. Looking forward to them starting up their education program and classes as I could clearly use the help.....
Former Army officer, expert in every small arm (at one time or another) in the Army inventory. Thirty years experience visiting ranges across the U.S.TSS is the Disney World of shooting ranges.Clean. Inviting/welcoming. Non-threatening to new shooters. Professional & competent yet friendly staff. Few-to-no restrictions on what firearms you can bring or ammunition you can bring, unlike most ranges. Large inventory of firearms for sale and rent. The best shooting range lanes Ive ever encountered. A brand-new tactical shooting simulator (ammunition-free) on premises. Wide array of classes for shooting, self-defense firearms, on premises. Family-owned and operated; the owners are on site daily to ensure continuous quality of operations and standards.Again, the Disney World of shooting ranges. But UNLIKE Disney World: very reasonably/competitively priced for the PA/MD/DE area, so you dont spend an arm and a leg taking an hour or two there to keep your skills current or introduce a friend to the use of firearms. When my children are old enough to shoot, this is where I will be taking them.Cannot recommend highly enough.
Range staff was quite rude and condescending. They were giving other customers a hard time, so it wasnt just us. We ended up leaving after a brief confrontation with the staff. The retail store staff was polite and helpful, but otherwise wont go back. Theres plenty of other places to shoot.
Stopped in to see the new range and pick up some ammo. They have, without a doubt, the friendliest staff Ive encountered to date who took the time to answer questions, share their knowledge and show me around the facilities. I would highly recommend taking the time to pay a visit. You wont be disappointed.Keep it up guys!!
Stopped in to check out the new range. First, the staff was very helpful, Did not make me feel like an idiot when I asked simple questions. I when bad with my wife to shoot, rented a couple of guns and away we went. i see a couple people complaining about minor issues. Give this place a chance, its new and i think they are on the right track to being the best place to shoot. Keep up the good work guys and Gals
Today is my 1st day at TSS, its a great experience. The store and range are clean, the staffs are friendly. However, I would like you guys put the note online to let people understanding about waiver. I was in line for 25 minutes and after that I gotta signed to the waiver and another 15 minutes in line.*FYI: Everyone who attend 1st time at TSS, or the ones who signed on waiver more than 1 year need to sign on waiver before getting ranger service. You can do it online on your phone or computer at TSS. You need to watch a video clip and fill out your info into the form. Little trick for 1st time doing this, you can drag the video all the way the end to skip it and go straight forward to the form. GGHF guys.
Love this place and it was long overdue for the area to have something like this. I support this place 100% as much as I can and you should too. The range is nice people are nice shops nice and they offer various classes. The only thing missing is a range for greater distance. 100 yards would be nice.
Great place. The staff is on the ball without being pushy. Complete accommodating facility. A pleasant addition to weekend target shooting activity or during the week as your work scheduke permits. The store is well laid out with excelkent inventory and prices for all budgets.
This place is a joke. Felt discriminated, talked to the general manager. He acted like a cornered cat when told what happened. He kept saying bogus excuses when I presented my side. As a general manager he is a joke too. I expected more professionalism, and not a spoiled five year old that doesn’t get their way. Had I known I would not have bothered to talk to him. Luckily I recorded all the audio in case they want to deny any of it.
Just went to TSS for the first time after buying my husband a 1 year membership. After our 1st time class, short wait for the range in a very cozy atmosphere with candy and chocolate chip cookie all over for Valentines day we went in the range for about 30 minutes it was a great time staff inside was super friendly and made me more comfortable in a environment I have never been in. As we were checking out there was a misunderstanding with the membership I had got months prior....there was no record showing we had one.. the manager was immediately called over Bob I believe his name was (man with the dog) and he proceeded to take care of our memberships. This man made our day!! with his AMAZING customer service. This is where out new hobbies will be and I will continue to brag about how great they are. Plus we got a 20% off Perkins restaurant coupon for the inconvenience. How awesome! Thank you TARGET SHOOTING SOLUTIONS!
Hands down, one of the best ranges that Ive ever been to. The staff was attentive and polite. The actual range is devided into two sides with solid walls every few lanes. There was a bachelor party on one side, so the staff sent me to the other (thanks!). The range safety officer was very approachable and friendly. There is a range safety and familiarization video that shooters must watch on their first visit to the range. This video covered all of the standard range safety procedures. I wish that every range that I visit had the same policy. It would prevent people from unknowlingly commiting all of the usual range safety violations. Also, the video would be an excellent resource for preparing first time shooters. The next time I take a beginner shooting, it will be at Target Shooting Solutions.
Very professional, knowledgeable & friendly staff! Great lanes & very nice atmosphere! Came here for a lil stress relief & thats exactly what we got! My Dad is a member so my husband & I shot for free today! Might just have to become a member for all of the advantages! 🤔
Very clean and nice place. But Im leaving 3 stars because they didnt check anyones ammo. There was a guy next to me shooting steel tip ammo and it was ricocheting. Brought it to the range masters attention. Just think with a place that large and that many people that they would take safety a little more serious.
Excellent first time experience at this range. Being a first timer at any thing can be a very scary experience. The customer service rep Lindsey made me feel right at home he took me right over to hand gun displays and let me tested out different handguns to see which one fit the best. We picked out a ppq chambered in .22 lr and a berretta in 9mm. We headed over to the range and he got me setup right away with ear protection and gave me a basic rundown on how to load a magazine. He then went above and beyond as he clocked out for work and then came right back to the range to coach me on proper range eittique and basic form making sure I did not form any bad habits. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend anyone with some free time to hit the range for the first time just to experience what it is like to handle a firearm. I think it is better to experience things first hand then to continue to get second hand information on anything in life. Thanks TSS I look forward to doing business in the future!!
Stopped in on opening day and the facility is impressive and staff is nice, but that’s about it. I know they just opened, but they do not have a big selection of rifles or handguns, and the ones they do have are way overpriced compared to other gun shops I do business with Kerper’s , Tanners Gun Shop in Jamison PA and The Sportsman’s Shop. The ammo selection is not impressive very small for the size of the building and what they do have is very expensive. Example Independence 223 for $13 dollars a box ouch; it’s cheaper elsewhere. I just bought it at 7.99 a box. The accessory isle more over pricing they have the AR-P E P R Mount for $105 when I can go to Tanner’s or Cabelas and buy it 20-30 bucks cheaper and the AR mags were very pricey. I’ll stop back after a few months once they are up and running for a while and give it another try. For now Tanners is still my go to store as they have a bigger selection of handguns, rifles and ammunition/accessories and their prices are way better even though I have to drive 45mins. If I want ammo even cheaper I will just go online. I am all for one supporting local businesses, but it’s hard to justify when you can get everything cheaper at other stores, or the internet. this is a follow up to my 1st visit.Stopped in to have my gun looked at and fixed with a small tool. The young guy let me use the tool. After the gun was fixed (took a whole 2 mins) I asked the gentleman how much do I owe you. He said do not worry about, but you can tip me we accept tips. Really? That is very unprofessional I am sure you get a paycheck from TSS. I would have had no issue paying 5 dollars or so to use the tool, but asking for tips was out of line. This was my second and final trip to TSS. 1st time I went to TSS prices were very high, I thought I would try TSS again, but this time prices are still very high and the whole asking for tips rubbed me the wrong way. Chester County Outdoors and Tanner’s will continue to get my business.
Great Range but someone should make a rule that people that are shooting high powered and loud guns should be placed in certain lanes or certain hours. It is very hard to concentrate on your shooting when the guy next to you is shooting an AR or a 223 with 30 round clips.with rapid fire .
Switched over from Targertmaster whom only existed because there is no competition. Well TSS came in and blows them out of the water. Prices are a little high but Andrew and Alex were very willing to work with price on a high end rifle. The range officer was ex military and very willing to assist with some gun issues and even gave me some pointers. Very happy with the new guys in town and hope TSS does well.
This is a great place to try out a new pistol or sight in a rifle. The lanes are nice with modern target retrieval. You can bring a large caliber and even your own ammo!! If you didnt bring your own gun or just want to try something new, they have rentals that will cure an itchy trigger finger. Ammo prices are decent, there is a good selection of common sizes and types. They range from the standard US rounds to a few types of Commie rounds. (even some .22LR but shhhh....) The gun selection ranges from Carry Pistols, Military handgun, revolvers, ARs to some classic shotguns and old-styled battle rifles that will stun you with beauty. Dont pass this place up. They have just found their footing in retail but I cant wait to see what the future brings to this place. This should be on anybodys range list for 50 miles. A first-class facility with friendly smiles.(PS I could keep going on about the store, but it looks like they also have other events like a Barrett 50BMG shoot!! Awesome if you want to play with some like minded individuals!! Bring your friends!)
When me and my mom went there for my brithday and the servies was great and i am friends with the owner and some employes and in pressed most of the peple and that is first time that I shot a gun a 22 to be exact 10 bulets a mag 120 bulets if any one cares I came for my tenth brithday and the enstruter was aswem and I tiped him even more becuse he is aswum and is a nice guy
Went to the range with nothing to shoot so I rented a .22 sport that didn’t work (one of the workers even confirmed that the .22 had carbon build up and wouldn’t shoot). When I went to exchange it they said that they didn’t have another available. I asked for a refund since I didn’t have anything else to shoot and they didn’t give me one. Even though it was their gun that caused the problem.

2022-04-28Visited the range a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere overall. Clean, well kept range, nice size retail space. All the staff were friendly and helpful.decided to take an AR intro class, and the two instructors were great!! They treated everyone fairly and equally , they took their time explaining the information that they presented. I do wish the class went a little further into the AR parts like the breakdown of the BCG, stripping an upper..etc. But for an intro class overall it was good, the range portion was also beginner friendly; for people who never shot before the instructors seemed to do a good job with them. I had a little experience and they helped me with sighting in and other things to look for to improve my shooting. They kept the class very basic which is great for someone very green to the AR platform.Definitely will be looking to take Level II with them.

2022-01-26Best indoor range Ive ever been to. Very friendly and helpful range masters and staff all around. Have had them give me tips on accuracy and other things I wasnt doing exactly right. They helped me get a lot more accurate and consistent. Store is also very nice, highly recommended checking this place out!

2022-03-29I had a shooting lesson with Ray Holcomb and cannot say enough how worthwhile the experience was. In just 1 hour, he fundamentally changed the way i will shoot forever. I will definitely be back for more lessons with Ray.

2022-01-16First time visitor today with my wife to use the range. Great service from the entire range team, easy online option to complete training and waiver info before you arrive. We had about a 20 minute wait until our lane was available we browsed the store the sales team was also friendly and waiting to help if needed. We will definitely be back and considering purchasing a membership for our family. Thank you.

2022-04-04Ive been going here for two years. The place is probably one of the best in PA. Ive been to indoor ranges in Chester, Delco, and Philly -- nothing comes close to the experience here. Staff are friendly, and are helpful. The RSOs are good. Expect some wait time during PEAK hours. Otherwise you should be in quickly, and out without any issues at all. Also, they have an excellent selection in rentals, and in-stock inventory.

2021-08-24Today was my second visit to TSS. I went last week to get the feel of a few guns, and try them on for size. I hadnt shot a gun in several years, so Steve recommended I take a refresher coarse. Grover was my First Shots instructor today, and did an excellent job! Id recommend this coarse to anyone who wants to purchase a gun for the first time. After the training and target practice, I was ready to purchase my first gun. Grover assisted and made recommendations. I am now a proud gun owning gal.

2022-03-12Do NOT go to this range as a Black man or Woman nor bring children.I guess this side of PA has a large area of discrimination.I went to the range and was talked to like I was child, like I was not a customer nor did I receive and gentle reminders of mistakes I were making.Range instructor was Physical on Verbal instructions as he was very rude and yelled. Not to mention he started to clutch his weapon as he spoke. — Every black person that I were beside was treated horribly and unfair.Note: Running to the manager will not help as he is a little puppy sitting at 5’2 in height and acted is if nothing were happening.PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THIS RANGE. THEY DISCRIMINATE AND ARE OVERPRICED.

2022-03-28UPDATE: The owner of this facility reached out to me as soon as he could and he made this situation right. I am pleased with the apologetic nature of his call and the assurance that TSS is an inclusive environment. As I said, TSS is a great place for people who want to learn about firearms, practice firearm safety, and exercise their rights. I would also like to thank Steve, the general manager, for his follow up call. I hope we all can continue to come together and be kind to one another. This review should encourage people of all color to come to TSS and be respectful of all guests. This is AMERICA! Land of the free and last time I checked we all have the right to bear arms as long as we are not criminals. I have been going to TSS for several months and have not had a complaint yet. Beside one stand-offish cashier, the staff have been very friendly and helpful (especially the man with the bell bottoms and the black man). However, at my most recent trip I overheard a customer telling an employee that “black people keep crowding the facility and screaming”, he continued on saying several other demeaning things because he did not realize myself and my boyfriend were there. I said nothing, expecting the employee to apologize on behalf of those remarks. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Having customers create an unwelcoming environment for Black people is unacceptable. Unfortunately the employee did not say anything in return in defense of a large demographic of TSS customers. I have been here so many times and have never felt disturbed by any other customers, including Black people, but today is not the first time I have gotten a wiff of intolerance from customers. As I said, the staff at TSS are more than helpful and knowledgeable but I do hope management can train them in ensuring that this continues to be a welcoming environment for ALL AMERICANS to enjoy and exercise our 2nd Amendment right. I hope to soon be able to give TSS the 5 stars again because the facility is great. I truly left feeling so belittled and saddened that my money is welcome there but other Black people are not.
