Probably the first Thai place Ive felt let down by. I had the fish cakes and the lettuce they had with them were the same as the Larb salad (which I had with Pork) that wasnt great quality. The Pork was also the ground variety which was also not great. It tasted rather bland to be honest. Edible sure but for the price why not demand better? Given the reviews I was shocked and shouldve taken pics but why would I want to remind myself? The staff was friendly however If the locals are wowed by this maybe trusting their advice on exotic let alone local dishes should be questioned.
Always delicious without fail! Family owned restaurant so they take pride and want to make sure their customers are and stay happy. We’ve been their customer for over a year and make it a point to stop by almost weekly. They are that good! Vegan and vegetarian friendly!
Love papaya salad here and we love authentic Thai foods. Also not too far from Mount Airy Casino & Resort.
3/11/22 update: back for Pad Thai w/chicken to-go. Very good! Perfect when coming home from a trip and you dont want to cook.Weve been coming here for several years. Always a favorite. Tonight Lar Nar Noodles & Green curry, both good.Our usual test dishes: Thai Dumplings(A5), Tom Kha soup w/shrimp (P2), Pad Thai w/shrimp (N1) and Basil Eggplant w/Chicken(T7)- all dishes were very good. Not too expensive and good sized portions. Service was excellent and the family that runs the place is very friendly :)There are now, three tables outside for dining :)BYOB- beer dist. just behind the building. Credit cards accepted.Homemade desserts.
Nice food and good service. Went for early dinner and had the Evil Jungle Curry which was quite flavorful. Another member of party had the Pad Thai which was good as well. The coconut shrimp was delicious. The place has only 4 tables for dine in, so mai ky relying on take out business, looks like.
Good thai restaurant for a small town. Good food and pricing. Staff and owners were very friendly as they are small family run business. If you are craving Thai and this restaurant is drivable, you should get food from here.By comparison, its not like one of those good nyc thai restaurant but for a small town, its pretty good. Thats why an extra star.
Great service! We ordered the chicken pad Thai and beef pad see ew, both delicious. We also got the Thai dumplings (delicious sauce), and were served with some koropok (chips?) too, with its own tasty sweet-spicy dip. Highly recommend the hot ginger tea as well because that was hard to stop drinking. Because it was a special weekend (lunar new year and valentines day), the staff kindly and generously gave us two bags of fried plantain chips on our way out. Overall, a fantastic place!
The masaman curry we got was delicious. The much thinner width on the pad ce aew was startling but it was still tasty but the crab fried rice was kind of disappointing.Overall would go again =)
Presentation of the curry puffs, nice but the dough was too heavy & stuck to the roof of my mouth. Their thai wings were orange & buffalo & came with blue cheese... at a Thai place?! Their chicken pad thai was dry & underwhelming. If traveling to downtown Brooklyn, Ny, try Thaiholic theyre the best.
Small, backward, and uncomfortable is what comes to mind when I remember my experience at Thai Orchid. The restaurant has very limited seating, all the tables and chairs are stationed on a small area between the service table/ cash register and exit. Basically, Thai Orchid is like a very large takeout place but with the twist of having a seating area.However, thats where the negatives end if Thai Orchid was really a horrible place to eat in then the place wouldnt have so much service. And it does, while I was there I had seen more patrons enter and leave then I have fingers. The reason is the food. Personally, I havent fallen in love with Thai food yet, but the spice is a thing of beauty. I ordered the hottest meal they had. They gave me a red curry, I cant say if it was all that hot by my standards but I enjoyed the overall flavor.In the end would I sit-down here again, NO, but would grab some takeout from them. Of course.
Delicious Thai food for reasonable price. Loved the Tom Yum soup, Spicy Basil with Chicken and the iced tea.
This is the blandest Thai fare Ive ever encountered. It was edible and served piping hot but rather unremarkable otherwise. The staff were friendly and attentive. One notable unique offering was complimentary appetizer of rice crackers and sweet and sour sauce, like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Oddly enough, you can purchase a Greek dessert from this Thai joint. I guess the owners are Greek?
Love the Thai food in this location. Food is authentic, fresh, and yummy! I suggest the Drunken-Man (noodle and chicken) if you like spicy stuff! Extremely delicious and would definitely come back soon!
Its a hole in the wall, but had good curry! The cooks were quite skilled with the vegetables - the eggplant skin was still purple on the outside (really tough when cooking!) Unfortunately something was off with the pad see ew noodles. The sauce didnt quite hit them right.

Came here with friends for lunch. This place is small and decor is somewhat cafeteria-ish. Food was tasty, but some dishes were too spicy. Server was very friendly.
The food is inconsistent. Definitely ask the waitress for a recommendation. Ive done that on two separate occasions and both of my dishes were good. My wife chose her own and they were not so good. The waitress (I wish I knew her name) was really friendly and helpful.
I ordered different meals from this place. The food is over priced, its not worth it at all. My meal was not worth or tasted like its worth $18.00 or the chicken pad thai for $14.00 , not worth it , especially the size was extremely small. Too many high prices, definitely wont come here again, I could of cooked a more seasoned meal than the bland food I tasted.
I am hooked on the shrimp in the blankets from here. Also try the fried tilapia in tamarind sauce. If you ask for very spice make sure to take a large thai tea with that. This is the most authentic thai food outside Thailand.
My office and I ordered a few meals from this restaurant. Not only was the food not cooked properly, the food did not have any flavor and the rice was hard. Two co workers ended up having diarrhea literally after eating the food , another vomited. I call the front desk and I explained to the lady what happened, she said I can come in to return the food and get a refund. When I got there the owner did not even try to understand, did not apologize, just kept on asking me what department I worked in. We returned 3 meals 20% eaten and the others were eaten and afterwards they were in the bathroom. We did not get no refund or anything. Would not recommend this place at all. Customer service was horrible.
I ordered a meal and the food was not fresh and it was very overpriced. I called to complain and the manager was not able to give me a refund. I ate a small amount of the food and immediately called the restaurant because it did not taste fresh and it smelled like dog food. Chicken pad thai. Did not appreciate the rudeness from the manager. She could not even apologize. She just said she could not give me a refund. I left and choose to just never get food from here ever again. Wont ever recommend this place.

Service in mothers day was horrible👎👎waitress had a long face and did not bring my food untill so late. I came across this place driving past from NYC and I hit a gem. While the interior decor is standard small town uninspired decoration you feel the warmth of the friendly owners and staff. We ordered a couple dishes and dessert and were quite happy with everything. The flavours seemed well balanced and ingredients fresh. I might suggest including some hot sauce on the tables because they serve the food mild, but overall quite excellent.

We are from very out of town (from Indiana) and really wanted Thai. It was a bit later at night (8:15) and found this by simply searching. It was a bit of a drive from our cabin but so worth it. The store was clean, the staff was wonderful! It was worth the drive and price! We got a variety and we all liked our foods.

I had the coconut shrimp with Thai salad. Loved it! The salad was piled high, with crunchy beans, carrots, and cabbage mixed with a crunchy peanut dressing. I took some home. The server was alert, savvy, & quick, even with a constant flow of early evening customers. My husband also loved his shrimp pad Thai. Yay!
We came 20 minutes before close after a day of traveling and they were really gracious!

In town for vacation, we love all food and the pad thai was delicious and I recommend it.
The food that I ordered was not fully cooked and made me sick after I ate a few bites. I called the manager to complain and she was rude and did not want to hear anything , even when I returned the food . She did not want to give me a refund even after I returned the food and told her I got sick. The food was not even seasoned and the rice was hard as in it was old rice. I would not recommend here . The manager could not even have the audacity to apologize . Very disappointed in customer service and the food.

Excellent family run Thai restaurant. I had ordered a Thai spicy Evil Jungle curry with beef, and they delivered just the perfect thing.The veg spring rolls were just a little oily, but overall expertise was very good.

Reasonable food, but the lone waitress / cashier was somewhat overwhelmed. We were also somewhat disappointed that she wouldnt ask the kitchen staff to fry an egg for our baby (for which we were happy to pay), though she wouldnt give us a reason - they had eggs, and the kitchen staff didnt seem too busy.

The best and freshest Thai food in the area. The service is super nice too. The prices aren’t the cheapest, but you really do get what you pay for. The drunken noodle is the best if you like spicy and the coconut rice desert is delicious!
Delicious variety of Thai dishes. Curries, noodle and rice dishes, appetizers were all very fresh and flavorful. Something for everyone on the menu, including vegetarians and vegans.

So disappointed. I read the reviews and decided to try this place yesterday . I ordered 3 pad thai noodles with chicken and beef. I didnt mind the price but basically you are paying $13 for noodles mostly very little meat and they also charged me extra for beef when that was one of the options included. I will not be going back and dont waste your money on their pad thai all you are getting mostly is noodles.
I love this place. Food is great and staff are very friendly. My only gripe is that there arent enough tables. Im a local. Id like to be able to sit down once in a while and dine in rather than takeout every single time. Had plans on going to Thai Orchid for dinner on Friday. Got there and there wasnt a single seat or table to be had. Even the area where you wait for your takeout was full of people sitting there and some standing. It would be nice if they expanded and then added more seating.
I was actually very excited to try the food here as I had heard and read the good reviews, however the food was very disappointing and extremely bland. It was the Worst pad Thai that I have ever tried - it had almost zero spices and the ones that were added smelled like dirty feet. I also felt the price was expensive and unrealistic for the quality of food you are given.
The staff is not very friendly. I wasnt greeted or told thank you after making a $54+ purchase. The cashier had an attitude and the owner was condescending. Sometimes its the small things that make your experience. I only went here because Thai Thani was closed. Next time, Ill wait. The food was not worth the poor experience.

This was My first time eating Thai food! It was absolutely amazing!!! Every thing from the puffed rice (Which I though was Styrofoam) down time the dessert was amazing my taste pallets were going crazy!! the manager was amazing and down to earth! We asked him about the puffed rice... and he said well that is styrofoam we all died laughing. The atmosphere was relaxing and workers were inviting! Everything was done absolutely fresh. The prices were great! I loved everything about this place. Definitely going back! Job well done! The area is small not a restaurant type but don’t let that foolYou the FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! Stopped in during a road trip and was blown away by how good the food was. Notably, this Thai restaurant also carries Baklava (and are fully self-aware of this oddity on the menu). We ordered several dishes, and kept sending the wait staff back for more. Service was on point, and we were never left waiting when we wanted something. Dine-in atmosphere is minimal, as it seems most of their clients get the food to go or call in take-out, so we were just one of a few groups in the place and felt like we had it to ourselves.Excellent food, good service, reasonable prices.
The food was exquisite. Every dish had its unique taste. I am a vegetarian and all the dishes were tailored and very flavorful.
Place is very, very small and operated by an elderly Greek couple. Atmosphere is like a take-away with an expansion for adding tables (Only about 6 Four Tops altogether, so be very prepared to wait if theyre busy). Food was awesome, but the service was disappointing and the main reason Im not giving them 4 stars. Excellent selection of vegetarian items, which was the only saving grace as far as Im concerned. Would I eat here again? Yes! They have such a great vegetarian selection, it is worth it for us vegetarians.
Thai Orchid is one of my very favourite restaurants. I love the crab chips with sauce, spring rolls and the crab fried rice is simply amazing. My daughter loves the Thai Fried Rice with beef.The owners also run an Asian Market across the street.Thai Orchid is one of the more popular places to eat. I highly recommend this resturant.
Im Obsessed! I truly love this place. The food is so fresh and flavorful. It’s all served so nice and hot. My entire family constantly craves their food. We would eat there everyday if we had the money. My brother , who is a world eater, swears that the coconut shrimp is the best he ever had! Thank God we have a decent place here in the Poconos!!
I ordered pineapple fried rice. It was delicious, though the rice was a little mushy. My husband had the Pad Thai which was good but nothing special, the noodles were overcooked. We had dumplings for an appetizer, which were good. Came with a sauce which reminded me of BBQ... Thai BBQ maybe.Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
Ehhh. Very small and homey, which is fine. I come to expect locations like this to compensate with great food and service. Service was good, food was typical Thai. Watch out, hot IS HOT. Wasnt super impressed with the Drunk Man Noodles, not as wide as I am used to, different consistency and taste. Spices different that other Thai restaurants I frequent. Chef and menu are hyped, but fail to deliver. OK, but nothing spectacular.
Absolutely amazing dinner, Thai Orchid is 30 minutes from our house, everytime we get close we stop and have dinner. Now with Covid-19 its takeout only, didnt matter we drove it home and the entire family enjoyed the best Thai on the mountain!
My family has loved this place since it opened. Everyone who works here is pleasant and kind. The food is tasty and extremely fresh (for a while, they only had a single wok!)On the coffee table, you check out a binder of full of thank-you letters addressed to the owners for all their commitment to sponsoring local events and supporting area needs. It’s not necessary but it’s so wonderful to know that this relatively new establishment cares so much about its role in the community.
I still remember when their location used to be a dodgy real estate office. The food is as good or better than any Thai food Ive ever had, hands down, and Ive eaten a fair amount. The portions are sensible, and the ingredients good quality and obviously fresh. A few small issues: one, the prices are a little on the high side for the area. Second, the decor leaves quite a bit to be desired. Having said all that, the place is squeaky clean, and the quality of the food well worth a few extra dollars. Im hooked, no question.
A cozy place with authentic foods , all food taste similar to the food that I ate for a whole life in Bangkok. Kaengkua curry and drunken rice are my favorite dishes also chicken satay that come with peanut sauce is absolutely delicious!! 👍🏻 . I highly recommend people and my friends to eat here !! . Don’t forget to try Thai ice tea !
I keep trying highly-rated Thai food restaurants in various major cities across the U.S. and I have yet to find anything remotely comparable to Thai Orchid. This place is hands down the best Thai food Ive ever had, and the dishes are spectacularly consistent. Ive probably eaten here a good 20+ times in the past year and Ive never been disappointed. And if you want legit Thai HOT, they wont let you down (Im an extra spicy kinda gal but most other Thai restaurants Ive been to are reluctant to add that kind of heat). Their soups, curry, drunken noodles-- at all levels of hotness-- and their Thai tea... all of it is soooooo goooood!

This is my go to Thai food restaurant. The people who own in are incredibly welcoming and friendly and service is great. The food is top notch fresh veggies and always cooked to perfection. Ive never gotten a dish I dont like and they even have vegetarian and vegan options. Food is always ready quickly for me when I pick up and when I eat in. Dont let the simple atmosphere fool you, the food is top notch. its clean (nicest public bathroom Ive almost every been in) and well kept up
Food was terrible, ordered chicken Satay, had no flavor as the chicken was bland and the peanut sauce was watery. I also ordered chicken pad Thai mild with Thai chili’s on the side. The pad Thai tasted like cardboard with fish sauce. Unfortunately the young lady that took the order didn’t include the Thai chili’s. Never again. Terrible tasting food.
I’ve had the best service and the most amazing meals here. When you walk I got heir establishment you feel like your sitting down at your families dinner table surrounded by family. Did I say how amazing their food is? Service is equally as great. If you love Thai I would highly recommend coming to their restaurant. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely lovely place! Me and my husband visited this restaurant yesterday. Very warm welcome.. staff were very nice especially the granny who was very gentle. The food was really tasty. This is one of the restaurant which had lot vegetarian / vegan options. Definitely we are going to come over here again! 😊
This is the best Thai food Ive had in the US! Its a hidden gem. I always order from here when traveling past Stroudsburg. The food is flavorful and the staff is pleasant. Almost anything can be made vegetarian or vegan. I would absolutely recommend Thai Orchid to anyone.
Pad Thai was very good. Stir fry vegetables were undercooked. Service was excellent. The proprietors are such nice people. We had rice pudding for dessert - the best Ive ever had.

Phenomenal restaurant! Everyone is friendly, the food is beyond compare, and they will work their menu to assist with any diet restrictions. Every visit is a positive one. This restaurant is by far my favorite in the Pocono region and they never fail to serve a satisfying and delicious meal full of the freshest of ingredients.
What a great little spot. The owner, his wife are amazing. Her cooking is simply amazing. Its affordable and very tasty. Its authentic not your typical Americanized Pad Thai. I suggestion the Tum Yum and Curry dishes.
Nick and his wife have been providing excellent food very fresh and made-to-order for years now. Any amount of spice they can make it. Sometimes you do have to wait for a table as they are packed. But that is because they are good at what they do. Nick is always there with a smile on his face waiting to greet his guests. Nick makes The Baklava fresh and is literally the best baklava I have ever tasted. Ample parking and easy to get to you definitely do not want to miss this restaurant.
The Thai Orchid was very good. The Thai ice tea was very flavorful and the Panang curry with crispy duck was dynamite. Its not on the menu with duck, but they will do it with dock. The only issue I noted was that the Spring rolls were cooked too long, so they were harder than typical. Also the servers were very friendly and helpful there.
The staff was friendly, and the food was awesome. Its incredible the number of flavors they can pack into a dish. My suggestion is to order multiple things and split it. Everything came out quickly, and was very reasonably priced. Its BYOB, so bring your bottle of wine .
First time here. The food was amazing. It all had great taste. Ordered the chicken satay, drunken noodles, and chicken pad thai. Was not disappointed in any of them. The atmosphere is a bit down to Earth, nothing really special, but it was very clean. The waitstaff was nice and came around fairly often. The food did not take long to get.
Great food, decent pricing. Even willing to bring out orders to your car or bring tables and chairs outside to safely social distance. Kind and courteous staff. Highly recommend if you are passing through or live in the area.
I usually don’t post bad reviews, but this Massaman curry was so watered down and tons of carrot, potato, and pineapple with 1/8 of meat. I have never seen potato and pineapple in Massaman curry and carrot has been usually decorative not majorative. It was so watered down, I couldn’t justify paying for that meal.No clue if the store was too lazy to cook the chicken or was trynna save money on chicken, but I don’t think I’ll head to that place again.
Delicious. Large menu with lots of different foods to try. Havent had too much experience with Thai food, but everything Ive had was great. I suggest the Drunken Noodles if you like spice. Staff is EXTREMELY friendly and welcoming.
Stopped by here for lunch after my trip to camelback, as a Thai person myself I usually find Thai restaurant in America taste bland and boring, Thai Orchid was different. Food was tasty and reminded me of what I had in Thailand. Will be back when Im in the area next time. The staff was nice as well.

Thai Orchid has the best Thai food ever. My husband and I have eaten Thai food in many different restaurants and this is the most delicious by far. Everything we order (and we do try new things) has been wonderful. They are not around the corner from us but we dont mind, at all, traveling a distance to get food this good. The service is excellent and the people are super friendly. We highly recommend that you give them a try.
Fantastic meal at this small Thai restaurant in Stroudsburg. Went with friends, I had the Pad Thai. Everyone had something different and everyones meals were delicious. The app we ordered (veggie spring rolls) came out incorrectly but they were quick to fix the error, including leaving the wrong app on the table for free. Its a small restaurant with about ten tables. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for quality Thai food thats reasonably priced.
Thai Orchard got the job done. It seems like it was more popular for takeout food. The food wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad either. It was pretty standard.
I love this place. The atmosphere, the food and the staff are the best. My co-workers and I frequent this establishment often and we are never disappointed. Theres very little parking but you can always park on the street. If you havent been here yet, make it your business to go soon..
You drive down a nondescript neighborhood of houses and small establishments and run into this gem that sits right at the intersection of two streets. The parking lot, while not huge, was packed with a couple of cars double parked waiting for their take out order. All that to say, this is a hugely popular local establishment that didnt disappoint. The food seemed quite authentic and despite being busy, they were quite willing to accommodate our familys special dining needs. Loved it- tastes authentic. Very reasonably priced as well. We tried green curry with shrimp and pad thai with shrimp. So delicious!
I am not from around here but my 8 friends and I really enjoyed the food. The service was great. When I return to this area, Im definitely coming back. The drunken noodles, spring rolls, and crab fried rice was excellent.

We visited this local place after reading great reviews about it. The place is owned by a couple. It is a friendly, neat and a small place with great food. The locals mostly visit this place and know each other well. The tables get filled up quickly. We ordered fried rice and spicy chicken wings. The food portion is good and reasonably priced. Service is courteous and friendly. We are definitely coming back when visiting the area !!!
Delicious food, outstanding service! Found this restaurant by chance while coming east on I-80. Get off the Stroudsburg exit for Hwy. 611, bypass the chains and come here - you wont be disappointed! The tom yum soup, basil pumpkin stir fry with shrimp, and fried banana rolls for dessert were all terrific. Nick and staff do an incredible job, with friendly, cordial service to boot. Enjoy!
One Star for Good Staff. Went there for Sunday Lunch.. Staffs were really nice and attentive. Decor is like a normal Chinese restaurant. Food was bad. Taste like microwaved frozen food.... I went there reading all the good reviews, but left unhappy...... Ordered Duck & Coconut Shrimp, both were bad.... Hope they read this and make good food..........
Delicious, authentic Thai food in a surprising location. The owners are wonderful pair: Thai mama and Greek papa. The man comes from a lineage of restaurant ownership/management. And the woman is the chef. The food is homey and authentic, not fast food crappy Thai.We enjoyed the basil eggplant the most, although felt there couldve been more eggplant. The flavors were spot on. The Drunken Noodle was decent, but non-memorable. We had it with chicken and tofu. The pineapple fried rice with shrimp was quite good. A balanced used of curry, properly cooked shrimp, and good egg. The soups were nice as well.Surprisingly, the mans mom was on-site. Our friendly waitress explained that she too was in the in restaurant biz and while retired still comes in to help out and bake goodies. She (the mom) was so friendly with our kids and graciously offered us to taste her dairy-free cookies made with nuts, orange juice, oil, and lots of cinnamon. They were fantastic! Crumbly and flavorful.The only negative was that the decor (both exterior and interior) leave a lot to be desired.If within 20 minutes, definitely worth that drive. We would go back for sure!
I like thai orchid, a lot. I like thai food, a lot. I order Pad Thai a lot and this place has a very good pad thai. They give you little rice chips with sweet sauce when you dine in and for lunch they have a special where you get a choice of an appetizer and a lunch portion selection for around 9- 10 bucks, great deal. The owner is extremely kind and such a nice guy. Service is usually great and prompt as they only have about 8 tables inside, so if you have a large party, this place is too small. So why the average review? Ive been here about mmmmmm 7 times...everytime Im with my wife and Id say 70% of those times it wasnt busy and 70% of those times I ordered Pad Thai and she ordered like shrimp fried rice or pineapple fried rice or some type of fried rice. Her fried rice hits the table in about 5 minutes, or less, no pad thai. 3 minutes. No Pad thai. 5 minutes. No Pad Thai. 7 minutes...maybe pad thai, maybe not. 10 minutes...probably pad thai by now, but you catch my drift? Everytime, no exaggeration. You NEVER drop entrees at different times...Ever. if its a party of 12 you bring 2 trays with all 12 entrees on the trays at the same time, or have someone follow you...no matter what. If its a 2 top for lunch and theyre 2 of 8 people in the restaurant...no excuse. Drop entrees at the same time, always.

Ive tried everything on the menu at one time or another and I can honestly say everything is delicious. I especially love their jungle curry dish. One of the best Thai restaurants around. Whenever I visit Pennsylvania I have to stop to have one of their amazing dishes.

Doesnt have the authentic Thai atmosphere or food. My husband and I ordered the Drunken noodles with chicken. The noodles were not the flat and thin. Like other Thai restaurants. The Curry Puffs pastry was hard to me, it needed more flavor.
Ordered from here based on the stellar reviews. I did take-out which was probably not the best idea. I did not receive any utensils to actually be able to eat the food that I took out so that was frustrating. The chicken patay cucumber sauce didn’t have any cucumbers in it but the peanut sauce was pretty good. Veggie dumplings were yummy and my veggie pad Thai was bomb.

We originally stopped in for a quick meal after a day at the race track, but landed up finding a family favorite stop. The Nicholas family serves up a delicious Masaman Curry that leaves you wanting to try everything on the menu. When you stop for a meal, know that you will be treated like family and get a flavorful, quality meal! Any time that you are in the Poconos, Thai Orchid is a must-visit.

This is a very nice place to eat, its one of best Thai food restaurants Ive eaten in the Pocono area. The space is small but cozy, the customer service is A+. The only set back about this place is the long wait for a table on a busy evening.

Delicious! I had the Evil Curry and my wife the Drunken Man with noodles. Both were great, but if I had to choose, I liked my wifes meal a bit more. Server was fantastic!
Just had dinner for the first time at Thai Orchid and it was MOST EXCELLENT! The dining area is small, but clean and very efficiently planned. Our waitress was not only kind, but offered great suggestions and was easily handling service for the entire dining room without breaking a sweat or being overwhelmed. My party tried a couple appetizers- the samosas are great and their som tom (papaya salad) was really fresh and excellent. I really appreciate the amount of vegan and vegetarian options they offer as generally, the Poconos offers very little in the way of great plant based dining. Most places, you end up with a sloppy plate of wet tofu swimming in equally soggy veggies and sauce- but this is far from the case at Thai Orchid. The tofu was expertly pressed and fried before added into their stir fry and curry- creating excellent texture and added umami to the tofu. This place was AWESOME and will undoubtedly be our familys new favorite place to dine in Stroudsburg.

We are very lucky here in the greater Stroudsburg area. To have two amazing Thai restaurants to choose from. Thai Orchid for that casual homey experience, Saen for a bit more style, you cannot go wrong either way.

Great food everything tastes very fresh love the crab fried rice. This place is very popular. The only downside to this great restaurant is its closed on Mondays. A few times I wanted some and had to wait until Tuesday.
Senior lady was very nice... But waitress was rather rude.. Overall I would give the food a half star if I could only thing that was edible at this place was the Thai ice tea.. Very disappointing experience... I went hungry and left hungry.

No disrespect to the other Thai restaurants in the area because there are some great ones but Thai Orchid is truly one of the best if not the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. Their Thom Kha Soup (sorry it’s probably spelled wrong) is the best version of it I’ve ever had. The staff is always extremely friendly and kind.
Love Thai but this place is not good. Not very clean and the day we went service was extremely slow and the food was just OK. Saen at Shawnee was much better and the service was super. The owner went to every table and greeted each customer..

Amazing food and service every time. They follow the true mild, medium, hot, with hit being true Thai. Right down the street they even opened an Asian grocery in case you want to make some at home.

The thai go to: Pad Thai, is executed flawlessly. The drunken noodles are very tasty. All the curries are very flavorful.You can tell the ingredients are fresh and you know what it is. Every meal is visually aesthetic as well.Spiciness: Not the spiciest of thai places by default but if you ask for a ramp up of spiciness... you wont be disappointed.Service: It is family owned and they definitely always have a smile on their face. Very helpful and fast service.Hidden gem: Thai Orchid Hot Wings. Yes I know... You are probably saying, This is a thai place.. what do they know about hot wings? Small quiet place. def take out oriented. thai spicy tom yum wasnt not as spicy as i thought itd be. i went to thailand to visit so im used to REALLY spicy tom yum soup. still delicious though. my bf got the kaeng kua curry. it was tasty, not that spicy either i got the pad tamarind, it was very sweet. not to my taste, id like a little less monotonous flavor but it was still tasty. over all it was good but def catered for ppl who dont eat alot of spice. we also got the thai custard with black sticky rice. that was def different and tasty but the sauce they put on top was REALLY sweet. the dessert itself was sweet already so this made it way too sweet.

Good solid Thai food...the pad thai and massaman curry was good. Service was small town feel and friendly. Tom Kha was a little mild.. But I guess given the demographic of the area.. Its not surprising.

This place is a gym in an area that is otherwise pretty rural. Had lunch here in the afternoon and the food was on par with Thai food that Ive had in major cities. Really glad we came across this place completely by accident but will definitely be back in the future.

I had the Crispy Duck but with the Panang curry sauce and it was very good, the veggies that came with it were cooked well and had crunch to them.
Vegan friendly and food was delicious. A bit pricy for me but other than that, it was great!
Visited with our granddaughter who is a vegan. All of us totally satisfied. Absolutely a wonderful lunch. Will have to plan another trip.

2022-02-16I was in the mood for Thai food so tried this spot. I called in my order of the drunken noodle with vegetables. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted. I told the lady I was there for a pick up and she knew which one it was. It came to about $15. When I ate I could tell at first glance it was going to be spicy and boy was I right. It was very spicy but it was very tasty as well. I did enjoy the meal and would go back.

2021-12-28I was starving so it hit the spot. I was a bit disappointed though. Had the quart size of Tom Kha soup which I was expecting in a pot. It came in a bowl. It was nothing more than canned coconut milk with chopped up raw mushrooms, some peel in each shrimp and barely had any cilantro to taste. Definitely not authentic. The drunken noodles were fine but the chicken wasnt fresh. I guess since its more or less a take-out fast food place thats whats to be expected.Also not enough tables, I got the last one out of 5!I mentioned to the cashier that I didnt like the soup & she insisted I dont pay. I let her know I wanted to pay for my meal but she insisted and walked away.

2021-11-05While having my car worked on locally I was hungry and decided to finally try Thai Orchid. I have shopped at the Asian Market they own quite a few times and for whatever reason, hadnt been in here yet. Wasnt sure when my car would be ready so I took the food to go. Got a Thai Iced Tea, Thai Hot Wings, and The Drunken Man which I simply took as a play on Drunken Noodles.The Thai Iced Tea tasted like any other Ive ever had. Extremely sweet but delicious.The Wings were a no go for me. I wouldnt order these again. They basically seemed to be wings tossed in Thai Chili sauce and cayenne hot sauce with added crushed pepper and chilis overtop. They werent bad, but I can imagine not very authentic, and honestly not very creative either.The Drunken Man was good. The noodles were a bit different than im used to seeing in Thai dishes, but the flavor was excellent. More of the crushed Chili and flakes from the wings added some heat to these, but I think I would have liked them hotter. I got chicken and the meat was good, and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious.Ill eventually go back and try some other dishes but Id order that Drunken Man again and just ask for it hotter.

2022-07-10Had a great takeout experience here! They were really kind & accommodating to my vegan preferences.I asked for mildly spicy drunken noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The Thai tea with coconut milk was really good too.Overall, highly recommend! Food was amazing, service was great, and on top of that, it was prepared quickly as well.

2022-07-09Did not allow our Service Animal unless it was for physical disability. We showed them the ID card and explained by law that they should not discriminate type of service our animal was for but they insisted on not serving our party of 10.

2022-01-03My dad gave me a gift card for here for Xmas. Going out can be difficult sometimes because my husband is from India and vegan so he has particular tastes but they covered it all. Have plenty of vegan/veggie options and it was all delicious. They were also very pleasant. Will definitely be a regular spot from now on!
