Wow! Thats all I can really say. Just discovered this place and I am so impressed! This place had been here for 3 years and why havent discovered this? I love this place. Amazing service! Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere! This is quality Thai food folks. Please, please, please pay this place a visit. I love Tamarind, but this place my be in line for the #1 spot in South Philly.
Hands down best Thai food in the city. Good fresh food with lots of flavor. Delish desserts and yummy Thai iced tea. Delivery is always fast too. We order probably once a week because it’s so good, easy and quick. Order delivery directly from the restaurant and they even will do contactless drop of. Makes good leftovers too.
We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasnt crowded but we still made a reservation for the outdoor seating. We brought our dogs with us too.Now for the food. The apps were fantastic. Golden bags and chicken wings were delicious. We ordered the lunch portions and they were indeed lunch sized. The dressing on the side salad was so good. I am not a huge fan of Thai food but was still satisfied. Only complaint was the steamed broccoli was bad, probably not fresh. The waitresses were very friendly and service was quick.Definitely would return.
This place was small but cozy. Nicely decorated and clean. The staff was very accommodating and patient. She took her time to explain the dishes and also advised us the different levels of spicy. We were a group of four and it was our first time there so naturally we wanted to try everything! So we got the pad woon sen, pad thai, drunken noodles, green curry and pineapple fried rice. Some dishes were better than the others. Our favorites were the shrimp pad woon sen and the pad thai. You can choose your protein with the pad woon sen but I believe shrimps best compliment the dish. Pad thai is a stable in many local Thai restaurants but the taste varies vastly. This restaurant managed to capture a perfect balance of sweet and savory in their signature pad thai dish. The dunken noodles and pineapple fried rice were tasty as well but they lacked wok heat. Lastly, the green curry was a bit sweet and lacked the potentness that traditional green curry carries.Tip: We ordered a couple of dishes with the level hot and we were sweating! The group consists of Malaysians and Koreans so we are all used to eating spicy food as we all grew up with it but the hot level will definitely hit the spot. With that said, Thai hot level may be way too much if you want to enjoy your meal. Also, this place is BYOB so bring your favorite alcoholic beverages and enjoy! Keep in mind that during the colder weather, they have limited indoor seating so I would recommend calling them ahead of time if you plan on dining in. Happy eating!
This is the best Thai place in the area. The Drunken Noodle and Pad See-ew dishes are excellent. The noodles are always cooked perfectly. Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice are also great. The Golden Bags appetizer is really fun and tasty. I would feel confident ordering anything here. The staff is really nice, and they remembered my name after only two visits. It is great to have a neighborhood restaurant where the staff knows you.
Really delicious food, the lunch menu is really versatile and very decently priced. The portions are good. The peanut sauce in the salad is really tasty. Customer service was really prompt and courteous, its a small yet very well maintained and peaceful neighborhood restaurant. Would definitely go back to try more food options from them.Things you will be satisfied with.1. Quick service.2. Decent portions.3. Nice outdoor seating.4. Affordable pricing.5. Spice level ranges.6. Really tasty food.
Once again, Philly does not have good Thai food. I love supporting local restaurants , especially now but prices for eating subpar food are getting a little difficult to stomach, literally, Ordered two different types of curry that turned out to taste same thing and was the consistency of water, and Pad Thai which was just a greasy ball of noodles, no shrimp and no bean sprouts!! The spring rolls were the saving grace but pretty difficult to mess those up.
I celebrated my nomination today in this fine place. Well we had a pleasant evening and the place was indeed the reason for this successful gathering. The stuff participated in a graceful style, the cuisine was extremely good and my guests were so glad. We shall surely visit again for more events. thanks very much.
A hidden gem on a small street corner. The service was excellent and the waitress was very helpful. All the meals ordered came out wonderfully well prepared and very tasty. Our order consisted of Chicken Satay, Tom Yum soup, Green Curry and Yellow Curry. This is a new personal favorite :D
We love Thai Square. The curries are all really delicious. The vegetables are always crisp and fresh. For an urban setting, the outdoor patio is relatively quiet and very pleasant. The mango sticky rice is one of our favorite deserts. All in all a terrific combination.
Not only is the food wildly delicious, but I highly recommend them for catering. The owner worked hard to create a menu within my budget and when we were having trouble, she always went the extra mile showing that she truely cared about how our event went. She (Laddie) even through in a few items on the house! And they delivered with all utensils and everything!!!! And it all tasted amazing. I am totally going to use them again. Loved them!
Thai food, served more American style. I had the laab and papaya salads here and both were kind of disappointing. The drunken noodles are good though - but then again I dont think drunken noodles are really an authentic Thai dish. The food here is fine, but I wouldnt necessarily make a trip to have dinner here.
Excellent food and the nicest people. Today one of the employees saw me moving something heavy and went out of her way to ask if I wanted to borrow the restaurant’s dolly. I think this speaks to the character of the people that work here. Please support their business as you are able!
Amazing!!!Ive been here about 5 times so far. 2 times I reserved for a large party of 16 to 20 ppl. They are so awesome. They are accommodating, the food is phenomenal, the plating is gorgeous and the atmosphere is always calm, soothing and cozy. I will definitely be back for more events and just for great food, period.Highly recommend!!_From Licia
This place is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes right away to my head. extremely good and food and a rich menu.courteous crew, and good vibes. Also, the tariff is modest. I sent my friends to this restaurant with pleasure.
Just got food here tonight after living down the street for two years. Why did I wait so long?! The staff was so kind and friendly and the food was delicious. Prices could be a tad high for some but will continue to visit often to support this place because this is a true gem!

2022-01-04I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened. It’s always my go to Thai place when I’ve craving for Thai food. My favorite is their duck with green curry. And I also always get their seafood Tom yum soup. It comes with a generous amount of seafood which includes squid, scallops and shrimp. I just tried their Thai green tea for the first time and fell in with it. I think I found my new favorite drink. It’s very light and refreshing. You can definitely taste the difference between the Thai green tea vs the regular Thai tea. This has a little floral flavor to it. I would highly recommend giving it a try if you want to try something different. The customer service is always outstanding.

2021-09-24Great little place hidden away nicely, not a bad thing. Stopped here for lunch and it was amazing. Friendly staff and attentive.Inside was small but clean and had a nice outdoor area.Ordered the Thai ice tea, tulip dumplings, red curry with shrimp, seafood extravaganza and mango sticky rice.Everything was delicious and nicely presented. Medium spice wasnt bad at all, my wifes Thai hot had some kick to it.Price is reasonable compared to the other Thai restaurants Ive visited.Whenever in Philly again, Ill definitely revisit.

2022-03-16Weather is getting better and they opened up their outdoor seating!Ordered summer rolls and they were kind enough to take the basil out of one set and keep it normal on the other.Noodles and curry always good. Service is quick and very friendly. Fortunate to have a good place in the neighborhood.

2022-06-19A neighborhood favorite. Delicious food at a reasonable price - and also BYOB! Our favorite entrees are Pad Thai with tofu and the red curry with chicken, both of which can be prepared gluten free.

2021-08-04One of, if not, the best Thai restaurant in Philadelphia. Tucked away in a quiet and pretty street is this amazing hidden gem. With a nice outdoor deck, this restaurant serves delicious Thai fare. We came twice in the same week for their lunch specials which are amazingly priced and portions are great. I definitely recommend the Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, Calamari and Spring Rolls, but I think everything is good there. The staff is amazing! We’ll be back for a third time and more!

2022-05-23Staying in Philly for a while. Went with my wife to Thai Square for dinner. Quaint location, clean, friendly service. They do not have an alcohol license, but that’s okay since they allow BYOB…which we did. We started with the Golden Bags, which we both agreed were very tasty. I then had the Pad Cashew Nut w/ Chicken - Hot (very good!) and my wife had the Chicken Peanut Sauce and said it was also very good. Nice find!

2021-10-10Great menu and our food was ready for take out very quickly! Unfortunately, we got home and realized our spiciness level was messed up--the mild dish was dark red with chili and oils and themedium dish was bland. If spiced right, Im sure the drunken noodles and pad woonsen would have been delicious, but since they were not made right, it was just ok.
